Mi verdad #54 part 1

Micaela goes into the hacienda kitchen weeping quietly. Clem asks what's wrong. I'm quitting. I can't accept that Ximena is with one of those Lizarrágas.. I thought I would spend the rest of my working years here, but I can't.

Aitana calls Karime. She's concerned for Zac and his drinking. Karime reminds her he is a grown man and responsible for his actions. They will meet at the cantina.

Zac has reached the bottom of his bottle. The bartender tells him to keep it down as he's yelling. He lip synchs to a maudlin mariachi song.

Micaela says where will I go. I've spent my whole life here. If they don't give me a pension or severance pay I'll live on my savings. My dignity is more important to me. Clem agrees. I can't tolerate Eloisa and Mateo thinking that Ximena is a plaything (for his carnal pleasures).

Bartender helps roaring drunk Zac to a chair. What's wrong he asks. The woman I love doesn't love me, wah!

Luciano discusses work with Eloisa. She tells him if Iñigo with limited experience was able to bring Astral to the table I'm sure you can find buyers for our animals. Talk to one of the astral owners, Gaspar is just an executive there. Luciano thinks it might be best to find different buyers.

Bartender tells Zac he hasn't seen Zac like this since his girlfriend died. Lay off the drink. Zac cries it feels just like 18 years ago. (I thought he was going to spill the beans about Aitana.). He tells barkeep to. Bring him another.

Eloisa complains she's losing Micaela because of Ximena. Luciano isn't in agreement about Mateo and Ximena's relationship. Eloisa points out that Ximena is a grown woman who set her sites on one of the patrons after she was dumped by Zac. She wants an in with the family, just like Larisa. Did you tell her we need DNA proof. Luciano says she's thinking about it

Her thinking involves asking a receptionist at the desk if the results don't come out the way she hopes how much to falsify them. Receptionist says I don't want to lose my job so I won't help you.

Karime and Aitana retrieve a passed out on the table Zac from the cantina. Why are you drinking Aitana asks. To forget you he replies. She hugs him. (More mixed signals).

Larisa goes home. Inigo shows up. He wants some of her fine whiskey and something about a business opportunity I think. He puts two whiskeys and she rolls her eyes. Oops, he pours the second drink into his glass. This made me laugh. Ivan de la Torre. Your former boyfriend, right Iñigo asks. Inigo is explaining about the Astral deal and Gaspar and talking money which puts a glint in Larisa's eyes.

 

MI verdad #54 part 2

Zac has been put to bed on his couch to sleep it off. Karime has to get back to her job.

Larisa wonders what's in it for me? He explains but I'm lost in the explanation. He threatens to publish the DNA results if she doesn't get Ivan, her ex, to sign the contract with him. Or something like that. He harps on its my only card to get back into the family. Kisses his possible son goodbye and leaves with the whiskey glass.

Aitana tells Karime life would have been much easier if she could have fallen back in love with Zac and if Belinda is their child. Karime says at our age love is also a decision we make. I guess it's Aitana that had to get back to work, she leaves after sending a message to gael.that his brother is home. After she leaves Karime murmurs not for me, it would be so easy to.fall in love with you. But you only see me as a friend.

Belinda is kissing Rolando but as she opens her eyes she sees Gael. But it's really Rolando. She stops kissing him and walks off. He looks after her quizzically. They are at his house. She tells him she feels weird at his house, his father may show up. Rolando says he's at the office. He has been hoping for some alone time with her but she is being evasive.
El negro has the pieces in place to get Belinda. After that he's going after Bruno for messing with him.

Belinda excuses her coldness on Florencia leaving for London, not knowing her biological parents, the new baby coming. Rolando says if you like someone else I'd rather know, I love you. She looks down but doesn't respond.

Zac has called Aitana to apologize. Aitana says you've been dry for years! He says it was a one time thing. He was so upset about Luciano and Belinda. She thinks if me as a lowly ranch hand. Aitana says you are better than anyone. Don't put yourself down. Karime is sitting with Zac on the couch.

Tomàs has a last name. Zamora. Bruno is meeting with the detective he's hired. El negro has priors. Bruno doesn't understand, the mayor said he is clean. Detective says he had been arrested twice but charges were dropped for lack of evidence. He warns Bruno to be careful. You could be putting your life in danger.

Aitana enters the kitchen. Clem tells her Micaela is quitting. Aitana is sorry about that. They lament that she's worked all her life there with nothing to show for it, but they agree in her place they would have done the same. Then Aitana brings up Clem and Juventino"s relationship. Not quite sure how this went. (Because they haven't finished the discussion I find out 2 scenes later).

Zac can't believe he tried to drown his sorrows. Karime comforts him. He starts looking at her in a new light (I hope).

Back to Clem. Aitana says I don't want to overstep, but you can't resolve your differences if you don't talk them out. Clem says we don't know how. He thinks he knows me but he doesn't. Aitana tells her some more stuff but Clem says I don't know if I can. You are hurting, right? He's replaced you with a TV? Talk to him with love and fix it. Clem says thanks. Aitana makes herself a tea after Clem leaves. . Luciano comes in the kitchen. What's up with Zac. Aitana says not now.

Scene with Luciano pushing for her love, Aitana pulling away saying it was a mistake.( I find these scenes boring, you all can figure it out, lol).....




 

MI verdad #54 part 3

Karime and Aitana walk in the village. Karime gets Miriam on speaker as Aitana opens the email. 100% Belinda is her daughter. They are all happy.

Zac and Luciano butt heads again about who loves Aitana more...

Negro is with the henchman and a computer hacker. They have a plan.

Belinda gets a text. 97% match on her mother. (I fear this is how the bad guys are going to kidnap her).

Miriam wants to come meet her granddaughter. Aitana says this isn't a good time. Plus we told Mateo you are bipolar. Miriam just wants to meet her. They all feel it's a miracle.

The hacker pretends to be her mom. They set up a meeting for tomorrow at 1. Don't tell anyone. She asks why? Because it's a special moment the hacker says (Negro is feeding him the lines).
She asks for a photo to recognize her but they put her off on that. She's so happy she finally found her mom.

Gael acts like the older brother to Zac. He covered for him yesterday. You make an awful drunk!

Karime mentions now we have to.see if Zac is the dad. Aitana can't wait to hug her daughter.

Bruno tells Luciano about the mayor. Luciano thinks Belinda should break it off with Rolando, even though he's a good kid. Mireya can't let Belinda out of her sight. No know someone who can help. Armando Musquiz. We used to be great friends. He's in the Guardia Nacional.

Larisa calls Ivan at astral. She wants to meet with him.

Zac goes to Luciano to apologize for his absence from work the previous day. Luciano feels a bit responsible. Zac says he's the only one responsible for his own actions. They argue over who loves her the most.

Clem is off to visit her aunt she tells Micaela. Micaela agrees, you need to find out as soon as possible why you are the untouchables.

Kat, thank you for another fabulous recap.

"Zac has reached the bottom of his bottle". You can say that again! His wallowing seemed interminable; time for a slap and "snap out of it". "Wah" indeed.

Belinda's heart has made her choice. And it's not Rolando. He was very gentlemanly in asking her to tell him if she loves someone else. It was obvious she does.

It took me a minute to realize El Negro and his despicable associates were pretending to be Belinda's mother. Her joy at finding her "mother" while she was actually corresponding with these monsters was hard to watch. I dread kidnapping plots.This is going to be bad. Very bad.

"Bruno doesn't understand, the mayor said he is clean". Why, because he said so? A corrupt politician? Impossible! Sigh. Rather than urging Mireya not to let Belinda out of her sight, I suggest house arrest!

So Larisa was unable to talk the receptionist into changing the results; will she wait for weaker and more desperate prey?

"They argue over who loves her the most" was exactly right. So childish! :)

Thanks, Kat. Loved " He lip synchs to a maudlin mariachi song." Talking about maudlin . . . The song was all about being naked with a lover in the moonlight all night long. That bar scene was brutal.

"Scene with Luciano pushing for her love, Aitana pulling away saying it was a mistake.( I find these scenes boring, you all can figure it out, lol)" I totally agree.

Diana, "I dread kidnapping plots." and I will add trafficking plots! They are all over all the time lately even on my beloved "Will Trent" this week. " So Larisa was unable to talk the receptionist into changing the results; will she wait for weaker and more desperate prey?" I wonder. She doesn't seem to give up easily.

A few extras

Iván is a shareholder at Astral. Iñigo wants Larisa to get the deal done via Iván circumventing the deal maker. He tells her the family will be singing her praises if she can accomplish this. If she refuses, he will publicly ask her for a paternity test.

El Negro is a known dope dealer that they haven't managed to successfully prosecute.

The detective tells Bruno since the mayor might be involved with El Negro, they need to find somebody in the government who has more power than he does.
Looks like it will be National Guard higher up Armando Musquaz.

Clem tells Aitana that she always thought that the older you got the better you would get along with your partner but that has not turned out to be the case.

Zac tells Luciano that he will not miss work again due to his alcoholism. Luciano makes it clear that he will not be employed if he misses work again due to his drinking. After sounding like they were considering Aitana a possession they were fighting over, they both agree that it has to be Aitana's choice. DUH!

Looking forward to tonight.

Thanks Jarifa. You're additions always help clear things up. I have the granddaughter staying over again and things to do tomorrow morning so it may be later that I post tonight's episode. It may just be observations.

Thanks Kat, I enjoyed the recap. Did we all know Zac had a drinking problem? Because I had no idea.

Put me down as another person that doesn’t like kidnappings or child trafficking themes. I hope Belinda somehow is not captured by them. Hoping she’ll confide in Aitana, or her bodyguard will save her.

That was the first time a bribe for a dna test was turned down! And it’s often doctors that accept the bribe! Inigo wants that baby to be his, I think if the dna says no he’ll do his own test.

Mica has actually been nice lately, I hope somehow she’ll get to stay. I don’t see Eloisa giving her money, either severence pay or a pension. And everyone seems to think Mateo is normal. I hope he gets discovered soon for who, or what, he is.

Steve, I have watched some of My Rival, but the mother seems kind of crazy. Which makes for a crazy plot, a mom hitting on the guy that loves her daughter. Or throwing herself at him!
I am enjoying Hermanas. Most of the secrets are out in the open and it will be interesting to see what they’ll do going forward.

Add me to the list of folks who hate kidnapping and trafficking themes . We get enough of that on the news ..which I nave been avoiding .
Will the writers be kind and have someone be a hero and save Belinda before super creepy Negro carries out his diabolical plan? With all this evil , we need some good guys showing up to save the innocents . So many bad guys...it's exhausting and depressing .Come on writers . Give so some goodness. Susan

Liz: Something tells me that the mother (Alejandra Barros) & Whacky Daughter (Eva Vaden) might have some deadly showdown down the road.

However, I would bust out laughing if both get preggers LOL.
