MI verdad #65 part 1

Bruno lists all the ways he plans to change his life when he goes with Caty into the great unknown. She says it sounds incredible, are you sure about it though.

Iñigo stalks Laura sending her a message via social media. He just wanted to let her know how big an impact she made on him., she asks how? He chuckles, Laurita, up already took the bait ( I spelled bait wrong initially in my translator dictionary and I now know the word for d*ck!!! Not a word I want to add to my vocabulary even though it was the name my dad went by all his life.)

Belinda and Gael daydream about each other.

Tomàs asks Rolando why didn't you tell me you ended it with Belinda. He tells him she broke up with me. Rolando thinks the fact that Luciano doesn't trust Tomàs influenced her decision. Tomàs says there's no reason for him to not have confidence in me. It's good she broke up with you, she's not the girl for you. But I love her Rolando nearly cries. You're young, you'll forget about her in no time. You're my son and you have a lot of money so another girl will come along.

Zac gets formally charged with attempted murder outside Mateo office, I think. Or

The head bad guy whose face we have yet to see, but today we see a flame sort of tattoo behind his right ear, a bald head and full reddish beard, makes a call. Whoever he called said the mayor hasn't been able to find the girl that Armando has moved somewhere. Baldy doesn't want any loose ends. What do you want, the guy on the phone says? I want you to do what we do in these cases with no room for error, understand?

Gael sticks up for Zac, he's innocent, as Zac argues with the Police (hot headed as usual. Getting tired of his combatant ways). Zac says he started the fight, not me. An officer reads him.his rights.

Aitana helps Belinda set up a new email. She asks has there been any hits on your bio family? No. They discuss it a bit more.

Eloisa visits Mateo in the hospital. He's feeling pretty bad physically, but happy that Zac is going down. The knife has his prints and initials on it. Eloisa asks are you sure nobody saw you take the knife from the locker. Mateo is positive. What about cameras in the restaurant. Non there Mateo assures her. Also the jacket I wore (or Zac not sure who was wearing the jacket) hid a lot. Eloisa thanks him. You are saving the family.

Aitana tells Belinda not to lose faith. The new email is up.and going and linked to the "ancestry" site. Aitana thinks something in her head I didn't feel Ike trying to translate.

Mateo puffs himself up as being the son to save her and she says she could always count on him. She hopes what he's done is worth it. Mateo wants back in her good graces. He doesn't like her being mad at him (because of Ximena).

Zac gets shoved in the police car. He's fuming.

Gael finds Aitana in the kitchen and tells her about Zac. Aitana is that's what they wanted. It was their intention to put him in jail. Gael is off to tell the folks, Aitana is going to get her purse and join him.

Bruno calls Armando about his decision to go with Caty. Armando tells him he doesn't qualify since he has no official ties to her. Also it's an expensive government program. Bruno asks why can her parents go but not me. Because they are also in danger, and they are immediate family. Bruno says I love her, I don't want to lose her. Armando says I'm sorry, there is nothing I can do about it
Clem is angry like Zac! She tells Gael your brother is innocent. Juventino points out the Lizarrágas have money and position so they can make things happen. Gael says we now have money but not the clout that goes with the Lizarrága name.
 

MI verdad #65 part 2
*Aitana heads down the stairs and runs into Luciano. She tells him that his brother accused Zac . Luciano is surprised but she tells him your brother did this on purpose. He is not the saint you think he is. Luciano says I don't think he is a saint but you have called him a psychopath. Aitana says Mateo hates Zac. Not just because of Ximena. Now he is a cousin and the money is a factor. Luciano, think, Zac has no reason to try to kill Mateo, but Mateo wants to send him to jail because of the inheritance.
*A detective puts Zach's knife in front of him and asks if her recognizes it. It has the initials zcp. Zac wants a lawyer and won't answer. Do you have one or do you want one appointed. He says appointed .
*Bruno talks to Caty on video. I'm not direct family so Armando says I can't go with you. Give me a sec. He makes a ring from a flower stem and asks her to marry him.
*Mateo visits Mateo and mom. Since more than one is allowed it shows that Mateo is better, but Zac is going to pay. Mateo says the DA is a fighter. Eloisa says, tell him we want to bring Zac down at all costs.
*Caty asks are you sure, can you forget my past? You will give up your name etc. Bruno says for me that is the best part. Starting from zero and losing the Lizarrága name is the best thing to happen for me. Caty asks why. He says one day I will tell you. I will miss Luciano and Belinda, the others not at all. You are my best gift. Because of you I can reinvent myself. Te amo, esposa. Ditto from Caty.
*Luciano visits Mateo (mom is still there). Are you sure Zac wanted to kill you? Mateo says a few more millimeters and I'd be dead.
*Aitana visits Zac in jail. He's angry because Mateo stole his knife and used it. Aitana says your mom wants to hire a good defense attorney. Zac says I don't have any money for that. Clem will use her inheritance money.
*Bruno asks Ximena if she wants to eat. Luciano wheels his mom into the waiting area where they are. Eloisa says to Luciano, don't let that woman in to see Mateo. Bruno wheels mom away. Ximena asks how is Mateo. He says I'm going to let the desk know you can visit him. He then asks what happened the night before.
*Aitana says we are going to get Adolfo as your lawyer. Remember him, he was going to help me when we thought... I trust him 100% and he can't be bought off by your enemies.
*So last night was the first time you and my brother went out to eat. Yes. He called me but he wasn't sure what time exactly. He called and said meet me in 5 minutes. And why that restaurant? She doesn't know why. Did you know that was where Zac and Aitana were eating. No. When we got there only Zac was there. Aitana didn't get there until after Mateo was stabbed. Did you see when he was stabbed? It all happened so fast. They were fighting.
*Aitana calls her Mom. She's on speaker phone (Micaela is with her). Aitana needs the number for Adolfo. Micaela interrupts. Eloisa is capable of doing anything to protect Mateo. Be careful around her. Miriam sends the contact as Micaela fumes about Mateo. Too bad he didn't die. That's the only way Ximena will be Free from that monster.

Ximena visits Mateo. She wanted to see him sooner but his mom forbid it. Mateo is not in the mood for her gripes and tells her to sit in the chair and let him rest. Ximena days Mateo, I saw what you did. Zac didn't have the knife, you did. But I won't tell. He grabs her wrist in a tight grip. Let go you ate hurting me she says, and he releases her. If you want me to keep quiet your mother needs to let me have a place in the family. Are you threatening me, he asks. Not exactly, but your mother needs to accept me.
*Aitana gets a yes from Adolfo to represent Zac. He will be there tomorrow morning. Tell Zac to continue to not say anything.

Zac is retracing where was the last time he had his knife. In the locker at the office he recalls. Clem and Juventino visit him. She's brought food.

 

Mi verdad #65 part 3

Iñigo calls Larisa. She tells him your still not the dad. Iñigo says did you know Luciano is madly in love with the nurse. Larisa says I suspected as much. But once he knows this baby is his he'll come back to me.

Nuria is at work thinking. Another woman that works there asks if she's ok. Nuria says she's fine but she has a friend whose husband abused her and she's not sure what to do. The lady advised her to tell her friend to report him because he can hurt others and possibly the children.

Clem and Juventino are going to get him out of there. How fortunate Aitana knows a lawyer. Juventino gives Zac his jacket to keep warm.

Iñigo still on the call to Larisa. I saw Aitana reject him. She's still with Zac, now he's a Lizarrága, probably for his inheritance. This is news to Larisa. How is Zac a Lizarrága? It's a story for another time. Why did you suspect Aitana took the video of us at the hotel? You didn't believe me when I told you she says. He wants to hear it again to learn what game Aitana is playing. She tells him investigate it yourself. I'm tired of this. (Looks like she is drinking wine). After they hang up she says she rejected him.

Aitana tells Clem and family that she's headed to the hospital to see Ximena. Why were we all at the same restaurant? Clem will go too.

Luciano visits mom in her room. Why are you here, you were to stay with Mateo. He says Ximena is with him. Mom is irate. Ximena will take good care of him. Eloisa is going back to the hospital. Luciano says you and I have to talk. Mateo needs to remove the demand heade against Zac. No way. Mateo instigated the fight. But Zac is the one who tried to kill him. Luciano says but what motive did he have? She tries to give him some. Luciano points out all the family secrets will be revealed you know! That makes her think.

Clem and Aitana talk to Ximena. She sticks to the story that she saw Zac knife Mateo.

Gael talks to Belinda. They discuss Zac. Gael asks do you believe my brother is a murderer? No. But your family does. Belinda says my dad and Bruno have doubts. For us we are sure he isn't. Now our families are enemies. But that doesn't effect fect you and me she says.we are friends, right. Don't be sad.

Aitana says that's not true. Ximena insists I saw it. After she walks away Aitana tells Clem, she's lying.

Tomàs is talking to Rolando on the phone. He tells the driver to slow down but the brakes aren't working.

Inigo finds Aitana in the hallway. He wants to know what's her game? First it was Bruno, then Zac, then Luciano. Why? She pleads ignorance.

I will repeat myself: the whole Zac in jail for attempted murder plot seems stupid to me because all he or his mother or anyone in their family would have to do is threaten Eloísa with making their familial connection public and he would be out in a flash. Will Luciano make her see the fly in the ointment if Zac’s whole family cannot?

Good move for Bruno to leave the crazies in his family married to Catalina.

It looks like Tomás is finding out what happens to loose ends.

Another well detailed recap Kat.

"I will miss Luciano and Belinda, the others not at all. You are my best gift. Because of you I can reinvent myself. Te amo, esposa. Ditto from Caty". I would have happily savored another ten minutes of their conversation. So sweet. This and Aitana and Belinda were the two scenes that brought some peace and happiness to an(other) depressing episode.

So Ximana saw what actually happened with the knife? Rather than doing the right thing, she will say nothing. Threatening Mateo (which is exactly what she did) was foolhardy especially as she has seen what a lunatic he is with her own eyes. Mama will never accept her.

"It looks like Tomás is finding out what happens to loose ends" was perfect Jarifa. Adios. You won't be missed. Rolando's mother is arriving just in time it appears.

Thanks Kat, another excellent well detailed recap! I wonder if they’ll investigate Tomas’ death. I want people to know what a scumbag he was.

I’m surprised Ximena is willing to lie about the knife. She has no loyalty to the people that cared about her for years. She deserves Mateo and Eloisa! May she enjoy the life she forced on them. I was really hoping she’d use this time to find the key to the secret room and wake up to what a psycho she loves. Can you imagine how Luciano and Bruno will react if Eloisa does a complete turnaround and starts being nice to Ximena!

I’m glad Aitana picked the lawyer. Eloisa won’t be able to bribe or intimidate him. I’m hoping he gets Aitana to reveal the rape and order DNA samples. Wouldn’t it be something if Inigo is abusive to his new interest and she reports him and ends up in a cell with Zac! It’s hard to predict where the writers are going with this.

Bruno is right to leave his sorry family behind and start a new life.

I think there’s only a few more weeks left in this show!

Liz,bi think there are 81-83 episodes so we are in the final stretch. I can't make predictions as I've watched ahead, but everyone is saying what I thought while initially watching this.

OT. I came down to my house with the 3 year old because our insurance company (USAA) needed to do a physical inspection of our 110 year old home to renew the policy. Fingers crossed they won't cancel us. It's a nightmare trying to insure these old homes from the restoration old house pages I'm on in FB. For that reason we didn't report the hailstorm damage we had in the fall. All the neighbors got new roofs. Ours will be on our dime when we start getting leaks. My big fear is they may recommend taking down the 3 huge pecan trees and a black walnut tree that provides so much shade to the back of our house.

House insurance can be a nightmare these days. Hope it all works out for you.

Tomas likely not surviving might just mean that the higher ups get away with everything. It might be hard to find out who tampered with the brakes on that car.

Caty is likely well protected now though. It just means that she and Bruno will need to get away soon. And Bruno seems to be okay with starting over away from Eloisa and Mateo. That’s the best thing for him, I think.

I’m not so sure that Ximena is as smart as she thinks she is by threatening Mateo. Mateo will likely always have the upper hand.

First, Kat thank you for using my us every dramatic moment.

OT Second, I grew up in an old farmhouse , so I know how difficult it is to get insurance. Our old farmhouse had very old wiring that the insurance company did not like. Taking down those tress that could fall onto your house might be wise , we had a huge white pine tree next to the farmhouse which crashed into the slate roof about ten years ago. Susan

MI verdad #66 part 1

Clem visits Eloisa and demands money to pay for a lawyer to defend Zac. Eloisa is outraged of course. Luciano is present at this discussion.

Aitana asks Iñigo who have I harmed? I've nothing to hide. What proof do you have. She walks away. He follows and grabs her arms. She gets angry now. Let go of me. Call the others . I only have Zac in my heart.

All Clem wants is her son's freedom and she has a right to her money, right Luciano. He agrees, which then Eloisa accuses him of being crazy. He tells her it's Clem's money to use as she sees fit. Do you want a cheque or transfer. Transfer she says. He leaves which makes Eloisa happy she has something to say to Clem.

Rolando calls Ortega. Something happened to my dad in his car.

Eloisa presents her ultimatum. Mateo will change his testimony if you renounce the name and fortune my father in law left you and you get the hell out of this town. Otherwise I'll see to.it your son spends the rest of his life in prison.

Iñigo and Aitana continue to argue and now Luciano hears them and asks what's going on. Aitana tells Iñigo would you care to explain,? Aitana says your brother is disrespecting me. She leaves and Luciano asks Iñigo to explain without lying what's up.

Clem of course refuses. Your husband took advantage of my naivete but that's over. I've wised up. This discussion is finished. Accepting your proposal means admitting my son is guilty, which he isn't. You set a trap.

Inigo and Luciano argue about Aitana. Iñigo accuses Luciano of losing his objectivity because he's in love with her. Luciano says get your butt to the hospital and tend to your brother and leave me to deal with ranch business and quit accusing Aitana (they were speaking fast and CC's only posted about a third of this dialogue,).

Clem tells Eloisa Zac would rather stay in jail than accept your proposal. Eloisa says I hope you don't regret your decision. Your son's life is in danger in prison. Clem has faith on God and justice

Tomàs lives!

Aitana calls Karime who had given her a heads up about Iñigo because Larisa had talked to her or something. .I'm not sure how Karime was in the know. Aitana

Luciano gives Clem a printout of the transfer. Her eyes widen but says for now I think this is sufficient. She informs Luciano of his mother's proposal. Did you accept Luciano asks? Of course not. We have our scruples and are not for sale. Luciano apologizes for his mother's actions. She expected no less from Eloisa and Luciano apologizes. Clem tells him his family doesn't deserve him. This makes her convinced they planned the trap. Luciano agrees.

Karime got some of Mateo's bloody clothes as DNA, which is why she called. Now they need Belinda's hair again (too bad she didn't keep a baggie of it the first time she raided her hair brush).
Luciano confronts his mom about what she proposed to Clem and she pleads ignorance. She's lying to divide our family. Luciano just shakes his head in disgust.

 

Mi verdad #66 part 2

Karime has managed a short visit to Zac in jail. She's brought her roomie a change of clothes etc. she tells him Ximena lied and saw Mateo with the knife. But she won't testify about it. He can't believe how much she hates him.

Ortega comes up to Rolando in the waiting area. Your dad has serious injuries but he's in good hands here (seems weird Ortega tells him this news and not a doctor. Wouldn't Rolando be the one to get this info from the doctor?). Armando calls Ortega. Ortega says the brakes and steering were messed with. Armando says keep a detail on his room so nobody gets in that shouldn't.

Eloisa is with Mateo and tells him about Clem's refusal. He says she's a stupid inferior. Eloisa is also mad about Ximena threatening her. She can't stand theses lower class people making demands of her. He tells her to lay off Ximena, if she testifies against us...

Luciano talks to Ximena in the hospital. She slept in Mateo's room last night. Mateo has convinced Mom to treat her as a daughter in law. More bells going off in Luciano's brain at this news. Mateo meanwhile is telling his mom to accept Ximena for a few days at least. She is not happy about it. Do you have any other ideas about how to keep her mouth shut then?

Laura meets Iñigo for a date. We learn she has children (this is where the bells went off for me as to her identity). She's done her due diligence and knows he's married with two daughters. He assures her they are separated and getting divorced. She understands, she's been divorced 3 years and knows it's hard.

Nuria eats at her house with Juanjo. She's decided to add a clause that her girls can only see their dad under adult supervision until they are no longer minors for their safety.

Armando informs luv about the accident to Tomas. Aitana leaves a voicemail to Ximena, she has something really important to tell her. She awaits her call.

Iñigo is playing the victim game in his divorce. I'll get better with therapy I hope. Laura is impressed he's going that route, most guys don't. Then he claims he doesn't to speak badly of his ex, but she cheated on me with another guy. Then he flatters her that she's come along to heal his wounds. They drink to it.

Ximena tells Belinda, who she has been sitting with, that she has to go. Belinda reads about the crash and calls Rolando. They are both in the same hospital so she is going to meet up.with him. She sends dad a voicemail to that affect.

Ximena calls Aitana. Aitana wants her to meet her at Mateo's apartment.

Luciano goes back to where he left Belinda but she's not there. Guess he didn't get the voicemail. He's now searching for her, calls her, no answer. He finds her talking to Rolando. She forgot to send the voicemail. She had told Rolando they are still friends and she's there for him . Luciano says he wants her to stay away from Rolando and his family, she's still in danger . He tells Rolando to stay away from her.

Bruno packs. Caty tells her folks she's getting married. They express their doubts. Bruno writes and leaves two letters for Luciano and mom.





 

MI verdad #66 part 3

Aitana meets Ximena at Mateo's. She tells her she's sure she is lying and this could cause her serious legal problems. Did you know Eloisa told Clem they'd drop the je charsays do you know this woman, she ges if they renounce her inheritance? Ximena just wants her to leave. Aitana says Mateo might hurt her. He abused another woman. I can't tell you who but I swear it's true. He took photos of you without your consent. She's sure there is a hidden room she's sure if they open the hidden room she will believe her.

Eloisa, Belinda and Luciano return home. Bruno meets them. Eloisa is tired, call Aitana. Bruno says she's not here . Eloisa is mad she didn't ask permission to leave. Bruno will help her to bed.

The big honcho bad guy tells a young man that called him from the hospital. He tells him Tomas can't leave the hospital alive.

Belinda asks why Dad went crazy at the hospital to Rolando. She wants to know how is she in danger. Luciano says it's confidential. Tomàs is implicated in the trafficking and someone tried to kill him to keep him quiet.

Aitana asks Ximena if she has a tool box to break open the lock.

Bruno talks to Belinda. Poor Rolando. Bruno says it's not his fault what his father has done. She's sad Dad wants her to stay away from him when he needs friends the most.

A hammer destroys the lock and they are in! Ximena is in shock at what she sees. Aitana asks do you know this woman, she looks a lot like you. Now I'm sure of his perversion.



 

Mi verdad.

Another sleepover so it's late and choppy as I tried to type with a child in my lap. Hopefully Ximena finally sees Mateo for who he really is. Still questions about the unknown woman. Bruno is such a nice uncle. Belinda will miss him. I wonder if all the bad guys are caught if they have to remain in the WPP.

Great Kat! No apologies please. Thanks and hope insurance inspection went smoothly.
Eloisa was infuriatingly smug with Cleme. Cleme as always dignified as Eloisa insulted her. Noticed Cleme switched to familiar form of speech talking to Eloisa, Eloisa raised an eyebrow but didn’t rebuke her.
Later Cleme told Luciano he didn’t “fit” with the rest of his family, hmmmm.
Nuria’s talk with her coworker jogged something in her head. Supervised visits for her daughters with Iñigo is an excellent idea.
Happy for Bruno (and Caty) engineering his way out of the sordid mess of his family (thanks Diana) and taking positive action. But sad too, since Bruno lost so many years trying to deal with the trauma.

Will Stubborn Ximena finally see BSC Mateo's perversion now that Aitana managed to get into his room of doom ???

I am amazed that Tomas survived . I hope that the writers give poor Rolando some small HEA. Is his mother coming home? Let's hope that she is a good person who will be back in her son's life . Perhaps she is the reason he turned out to be a good guy completely unlike his awful father .



Clem is proving to be smart and calm . Go Clem. Let the good prevail over all the evil Eloisa's family has caused . Susan

Kat, thank you for this marvelous recap despite having so much going on. I hope you are able to keep your trees, they add so much to the landscape and offer shelter for the birds, protection from the sun. They are magnificent treasures in and of themselves.

"Laura meets Iñigo for a date. We learn she has children (this is where the bells went off for me as to her identity)". Kat, I'm drawing a blank, I have no clue who she might be. I'll keep my eyes peeled for future scenes as I'm not asking for a spoiler, but appreciate your heads up.

"Tomàs lives!" surprised me; did I learn nothing from Lomeli??? :(

I felt for Rolando...

I was a bit surprised (but gratified) that Aitana followed through on her suspicions about the "dark room," taking charge and busting in. She immediately honed in on the picture of the woman whom we saw Mateo attack in flashbacks. I'm expecting Aitana to go to the police and Luciano immediately because Mateo will likely be sprung from the hospital without warning. Both she and Ximena should be afraid for their lives. Very afraid.

"Later Cleme told Luciano he didn’t “fit” with the rest of his family, hmmmm". Another confession coming soon Clara?? :)

I hope Bruno leaves before something/someone stops him.

MI verdad #67 part 1

In the dark room Aitana takes photos of everything. She wants to discover who the mystery woman is that resembles Ximena. She also finds a prescription bottle of pills, morning after pills. She asks Ximena about her miscarriage. Ximena says he'd never, he loves me. She rushes out to use the bathroom.

Bruno talks to Belinda. She and her dad are the only ones in the family he cares for Belinda feels that her dad and Bruno are the only ones that make her feel part of the family, as she isn't a true Lizarrága. Bruno says all the better, this name brings sadness and pain. Look at my brothers and Mom's treatment of Clem and her family. Always listen to your heart. She wonders about his sentimentality. He says it's because he loves her a lot, forever and she will always be in his heart. She says you in mine also, and they hug.

In the bathroom Ximena recalls Mateo giving her the supposed folic acid pills at the hospital. She pulls out her phone and looks at something on it and cries no you wouldn't do that to me Mateo.

Rolando sends a text to someone. Ortega comes to talk with him. The new hitman is lurking. The doctor comes out and says the operation was a success. Rolando wants to visit him. After the anesthesia wears off you can. Ortega tells the doc that he needs aist of all the employees, no unauthorized people can go in his room. Of course the hitman hears this. Rolando asks if it was someone trying to kill Tomàs,.

Ximena has to get back to the hospital. Aitana will catalog everything and get someone to repair the lock tomorrow. She gets the key to the apartment from Ximena to take care of it. She'll leave it under the flowerpot when she leaves.

Rolando visits dad. He wants him to go to Argentina with his mother, it's not safe for him here. Rolando doesn't want to go. How can I be in danger you are the mayor. Tomàs pleads with him to leave as soon as possible. They hug

Aitana tells Ximena to be careful, you are sleeping with the enemy. She still doesn't believe he is her enemy. But she will be on alert. Aitana says don't testify against Zac. Don't let a lie weigh on your conscience. Your hurt feelings should not send an innocent man to jail.

Ximena returns to Mateo, who is in a snit because she hasn't answered his calls. She tells him the phone was on vibrate and she had gone to the bathroom. She brought him fresh clothes. He is tired of being in the hospital. He wants out tomorrow. She reminds him he has to.wait for the doctor to discharge him. As he fumes she looks down. He asks did something happen? She mentions his mother and being part of the family, and that she doesn't know much about his past (so much for being careful).

Gael is going to fix the lock and repaint. Juventino will help. Aitana tries to give them money for it but they refuse. She says she tried to get Ximena to do the right thing but no luck. Clem says she was a good girl. Mateo changed her.

Ximena is digging for details of his past lovers. Fir example you know about Zac. He blows up I hate that you were ever with him and we're going to have his baby. Aitana returns to the hacienda. Luciano wonders where she's been. I was looking for proof of Zac's innocence . Isn't that the job of the lawyer he asks. No, she can't just stand around doing nothing. She's doing it because she loves him. But you are not in love with him. You are in love with me. Why have you been acting hot and cold with me. Who are you really?

 

Mi verdad #67 part 2
*I'm a woman who has raised herself from the inferno my aggressors condemned me to, at my age I'm going to be ruled by my head and not my heart.
*Belinda is eating a donut. She sees a missed call from Rolando. Off to the bathroom she goes. Aitana enters her room hearing her cough. Are you ok? She explains her upset stomach on stress etc. my dad told me about the mayor and I'm not allowed to speak with Rolando. Aitana tells her it's important to discuss things with the therapist. Bulemia can cause a lot of damage. Belinda cries I can't control it.
*Bruno leaves both letters on Luciano's desk.
*Belinda is upset Aitana will be leaving. Belinda says I really had hoped you would be with my dad and you'd become my mom. Aitana tells her I love you as if you were my daughter. I don't need to be with your dad to demonstrate that love. Belinda asks would you like to adopt me? Now they are both crying. Since the kidnapping I don't want to find my family, this anxiety I carry is causing the bulemia. Aitana says don't give up hope.
*Belinda doesn't want to have false hope. Do you really love me like a daughter. Aitana nods yes . Ever since my mom died there has been an emptiness inside me. Aitana says I'll try to fill that emptiness for you if you like. Hugs.
*Next morning Luciano finds Bruno's letters. In his he explains that he's leaving with Caty whom he loves. He's aware it's not an opportune time, but he believes Zac will get justice. You are the only one in this family that is clean with high moral values.
*Bruno arrives at Caty's. He says the judge is on his way. He got her a real ring and proposes on bended knee. The judge knocks. She's going to get changed.
*Bruno ends his letter hoping he someday will be as good as Luciano and that he will.always love him.
*Luciano brings Eloisa her letter from Bruno. Where did he go she demands. He leaves and she rips open the letter. No lovely farewell letter for her. Bruno can't wait to be far away from her and his brothers. He refers back to what his brothers and cousin did to that poor girl 18 years ago. He mentions carrying the burden of what he witnessed all these years and his cowardice.
*A female family judge is presiding over Iñigo and Nuria's divorce. Iñigo mutters to his lawyer I'm not happy it's a woman judge.The judge explains the divorce process. Iñigo's lawyer says that they are in agreement about the terms. But wait, Juanjo wants to add a modification. Iñigo says what change because if it's money I say no. The judge reminds him that is up to the court. Nuria explains she does not want her children with Iñigo without another adult present. That sets him off, earning another rebuke from the judge. Nuria says it's for the physical and emotional well being of the girls.
*Bruno's letter continues, this is the reason I became a drunk. To forget. That's why I'm getting away from everything Lizarrága. You are proud of the name, not me. Eloisa is mad. She scrunches up the letter and hurls it towards her desk.
The wedding dressing is taking a while, hope the judge is patient. The two look lovely though. The wedding is officiated as their song plays. They sign the marriage license and the judge congratulates them.
*Iñigo asks for a recess to speak with Nuria alone. Iñigo demands to know what this is about. You are a violent person and I'm protecting my girls. Iñigo says I am giving you a quick divorce on the understanding you don't report me. Didn't quite catch how she responded.
*Eloisa is back with Mateo. Ximena enters. Eloisa is fairly cordial to her. I think Ximena says if you won't accept me it's time for me to restart my life. Mateo is like what? Eloisa says I've reconsidered and for the great love you two have I've reconsidered. Mateo says she's agreeable to you being my girlfriend and future wife. Eloisa qualifies it though, after you testify against Zac. Ximena says I will do no such thing, I won't testify for or against Zac.


 

Mi verdad #67 part 3

Nuria says accept the restriction or I report you for physical violence. He says who will believe you. She shows him.the photos of her abuse which shuts him up.

Eloisa doesn't understand Ximena. Ximena says Mateo stole and pulled the knife. I won't make a false accusation. Eloisa calls her some name. Mateo calms mom down. I think him saying nothing is sufficient and we are a couple. Ximena days something and leaves.

Iñigo's lawyer asks him is it true you abused your ex? Iñigo says if course not. You know women makes things up. His lawyer gives him advice. If it's true you could end up in jail. Mateo says a Lizarrága will never go to jail.

Adolfo arrives to Aitana's relief. She has another job for him. She wants to find out about a woman in some photos, to ID her. Send me it and I'll put a PI onto it.

The divorce papers are signed. Nuria and Juanjo leave. Iñigo sends a text to Laura about meeting up with her.

Armando chats with Ortega at the hospital about Tomàs as the new hitman listens again. Luciano arrives to talk to Armando. He says he told Belinda about Tomàs. Also Bruno has left. He thinks he's with Caty. That perks Armando's ears.

Nuria is so happy she is a free woman. Juanjo loves the woman she is, standing up for her girls, etc. she feels like a new Nuria.. Juanjo loves this new Nuria.

Mateo reassures mom. She's fur he's entangles with the servant. What was he thinking. She reminds me of...Eloisa fills in the blank. So that's why you are obsessed with her. Now I understand everything. She's fed up. She wishes the cancer would just take her once and for all. Mateo doesn't want to hear that.

Adolfo meets Zac in jail. He wants Zac to tell him the truth about what happened. Zac says I hate the guy but I didn't bring the knife. It was stolen. Adolfo will search for the truth.

Eloisa tells Mateo that Bruno left. She mentions something about him mentioning the rape. Mateo can't believe that keeps resurrecting. He tells her Bruno never really was part of the family (2 more brothers fighting for moms attention,). He has always been a danger to us. If he'd opened his mouth..
Adolfo explains some difficulties with the case. You may end up in jail.

An official is in Mateo's room, I guess to get his statement. They don't want Zac to see the light of day. Zac had a motive because of Ximena I think Eloisa tells him. The DA will use that info. Crime if passion. They tell him not to use her in the proceedings though, it's not an option. Send him to prison.... he's on it.

"he asks Ximena about her miscarriage. Ximena says he'd never, he loves me" and "....Ximena recalls Mateo giving her the supposed folic acid pills at the hospital...and cries no you wouldn't do that to me Mateo". He would and he did. I was astonished Ximena was able to converse with Mateo so civilly after what she saw and learned with her own eyes. The devil incarnate has shown his black heart leaving no doubt only cruel truth.

"Armando chats with Ortega at the hospital about Tomàs as the new hitman listens again. Luciano arrives to talk to Armando. He says he told Belinda about Tomàs. Also Bruno has left. He thinks he's with Caty. That perks Armando's ears". This is but a different version of having the most intimate conversation while leaving the door open. These professionals never notice the one person consistently lingering nearby within hearing distance??

While I really like Gael and Juventino, I think the job of cleaning up the break in of Mateo's secret room of horrors would best be served by professionals. Unless the job is done meticulously, he will notice any blemish without fail.

I have a sinking feeling both Bruno and Nuria's happiness may be short lived. I fervently hope I'm wrong.

Eloísa sure had a bad episode with her control slipping away. Her reaction to Bruno’s letter and his mention of the rape was priceless. She will be quite a memorable villain. I wonder how hard it was for the actress to try to keep her mouth pulled to the side as she talked.

I was pleased that finally Ximena was holding her own against Mateo and Eloísa but how long will that last?
Somehow, I do not see her getting out of this alive.

How long until Juan is dispatched to the great beyond? What are they waiting for?

As for Juventino and Gael fixing the lock. Will they not have to open the door to fix it and see what is on the other side to fix it? Curiosity, also, could get the better of them.

Jarifa, I've wondered about that pulled mouth too. It's distracting how it comes and goes, but I would hate to be the actress having to perform that facial 'tic'. I don't think it matters if Gael and Juventino see the contents of the room, they already know he is an awful person.

This episode could have used 4 parts, I had to cut a lot of part 2 after typing it because it was too long. Lots of observations I made and descriptions of the looks on people's faces. Luciano explaining that he brought her the letter for her to read alone because that was what Bruno wanted. I could have gone into more detail on what was written in the letters but I was getting tired and didn't want to look it up.Throwing one of the pages of the letter after balling it up, but only brushing aside the first page in fury. Eloisa really did shine in that scene.

I thought making the judge wait while Bruno, Caty and her parents got dressed for the wedding was presumptuous on their part. I guess they didn't feel his time was that valuable. As they walked down the 'aisle' I noticed they seemed to pass a bed and realized it must be a hotel room or an efficiency apartment they are hiding out in. Which then made me wonder where everyone was sleeping and getting changed! I figured the women were in the bathroom but the guys were probably dressing in the same room as the judge, separated by that pony wall at the foot of the bed. I almost feel like I have to rewatch some of the Caty and parents scenes to make sense of it all.

Eloisa called Ximena a “ladina,” another in her string of insults about Ximena’s background.
Mateo and Eloisa. Apparently Eloisa is clued in to whatever happened with Mateo’s other woman. She seemed to know what he was talking about when he explained his interest in Ximena as she looks like “that woman.”
Eloisa didn’t seem to care about Bruno, instead she was outraged that Bruno threw in her face “what you, Iñigo, and Lomeli did to that girl.” Mateo answers with a proverb : when the dog is dead, the rabies threat is over.

This makes no sense, at least in our system, but I think the lawyer who appeared at the end is a private lawyer hired to represent the family’s interests, not the government DA. Sort of a private prosecutor. They decide to run with a crime of passion theory of the case as best way to avoid possible scandal of blood ties.

Curiosity, also, could get the better of them" is a great point Jarifa. Yes, of course they will; I hadn't thought of that. I keep remembering Aitana's wide eyed, look of pure pain, taking in every evil aspect of that room. She was violated in the worst way possible, and yet knowing what Mateo is capable of, registered shock and horror. Humanity at its worst.

"Apparently Eloisa is clued in to whatever happened with Mateo’s other woman". She certainly is Clara! It's one of the many reasons I hold her fully responsible for aiding and abetting her murdering, twisted offspring.

Clara, thanks for adding ladina as the insult word used. I had looked up a lot of new to me vocabulary last night and I got the gyst without having to look that one up. Also the rabies and dog saying was good to have explained. There are a lot of details I miss or in the interest of brevity and time, I skip.

I recall something about the fire but I'm not sure what episode it was in, and it may be an upcoming episode as I did skip ahead on the ones I could find. I had hopes it would make the recaps go faster, but finger typing on my phone is not the fastest way of typing. My old laptop has been appropriated by my husband as his older one quit on him. Not that I ever used it much as I never got comfortable on the new windows system. I got it while I was our garden club president and secretary. Amazingly we have a 20 year old laptop that we use exclusively for our karaoke set up still works!

Thanks so much Kat. Your recaps are so full of all the details, how great to have them to read the day after. I can’t believe Ximena still refuses to tell the truth about Zac. And still seems to love Mateo!

I loved Bruno’s letter to mom. But she just decides he’s weak and the one at fault. It’s amazing that two of her kids are decent. She would have made them all like her if she could have.

I thought that young guy in the hospital was a bad guy. Then I decided he must be a guard as he’s so close and nobody reacts to him. It’s good to know he’s one of the bad ones!

I am worried about the fixing of the lock. Aitana really smashed it. Also Mateo wants to get out of the hospital. I hope Gael and Juventino don’t get caught in the apartment.

I liked the judge. She kept Inigo in line. And once Nuria showed him the pictures he knew he had to give in to her demands. I have no clue who Nancy is, I thought she was a random girl from the internet. Now I’m curious!

I hope Luciano reads the letter that Bruno left for Eloisa. He still doesn’t know anything about the incident that took place 18 years prior.

Ximena will always be in danger just by being with Mateo. I can’t predict what might happen when he gets out of the hospital. Will he discover that his secret room was broken into?

Will Rolando leave with his mother? Will the hitman succeed in killing Tomas? I really hope that this storyline isn’t left with loose ends. It’s nice to see Bruno and Caty get married though. I hope we see them again one more time before the end. Bruno might not care about whatever might happen to Eloisa and Iñigo but it would be nice if he was at least able to keep tabs on Luciano, Belinda, and Aitana

Kat, thank you for another detailed recap as we tumble toward the finale . Perhaps Luciano and Bruno had different fathers than warped , BSC Mateo and Inigo. The good brothers certainly seem to be cut from different cloth .

At least Tomas now seems to be thinking of Rolando and advises him to go to his mother in Argentina. Perhaps, he will be redeemed .

I still don't know why Laura has been so introduced into this show, but I guess she will be a part of nasty Inigo 's downfall.

I sincerely hope that the writers hand out some HEAs .

I'm ready for this study in violence to be over so that we can move on to another story . Susan
