Notes from the Couch
Please feel free to add anything I left out.
Facundo Gets Exactly What He Wants but Does Vero?
Vero opens her heart and tells Facundo everything. It turns out that her parents wouldn't let her tell her sister about the baby so that she would not be a bad example. Now, she chooses not to tell her sister because she always has held their parents in such high esteem. With Susana now dead, she thought that she would tell Vale who she is but then she found out how much she hates her birth mother who abandoned her. She cannot tell her the truth yet until she can form a positive relationship with her Facundo sees what tragedy she has been through and he thinks she has been very brave. She can trust him not to tell anyone. He will never do anything to hurt her. She asks him why he would want to help her. He says because he has children himself.
On his way out, he grabs her hands and tells her that she can always count on him. He kisses her on the cheek and is gone. She breathes a sigh of relief.. He is in a good mood because he now sees Veroas a means to help him destroy Joaquín.
Teenage Angst
The teens have a terrible time at their party. The boys are on one side looking at the girls on the other. Hugo goes over and goofs around with the girls. Soon after, Lorena puts them out of their misery and tells them the party is over. . Claudia complains but Lorena says that Eleazar and Hugo need their sleep to ride on the course at work the next day.
Claudia feels bad that Majo and Eleazar didn't work out. Majo makes it clear that having a boyfriend isn't high on her agenda right now.
Will Iván be Romina's Ticket to Happiness?
Romina lies and tells Marcos it is her sister who is texting her and she will get back to her the next day. He tries to get friendly and she pushes him away. She is tired of him never listening to her. It is the usual stalemate. He says that she doesn't listen to her either and he thinks all of her problems will be solved when she gives up that idea of being a model and concentrates on having a baby.
The next day at work, Iván apologizes for the text and sending her one of the photos of herself. She says she loved it but Marcos was there. He wants to help her make her dream come true. She first says she isn't interested but then he tells her he is an expert in PR and has all of these connections in the fashion world. He knows of an agency that is suddenly short a model and they have agreed to consider her as a replacement if she comes in to be evaluated. They have to go right now. She is reluctant at first but he convinces her to take the chance on happiness that may never come her way again. When they arrive at the photo studio, she is nervous. One of Iván's friends Janet looks her over and doesn't seem impressed. Iván winks at her and she happily takes Romina into the dressing room to change for the photo shoot.

Isaura and Aurelio Meet Again
Isaura is paying Saúl for his performance. She tells him to keep a low profile. He answers there is no need for concern. He is off to Playa del Carmen for a good while. Aurelio sees the transaction and comes over. Saùl leaves. Aurelio says he didn't want to interrupt her transaction. She lies an explains that the man was from her tai chi class and had just sold her a piece of exquisite furniture that belonged to his grandmother. They end up introducing themselves and he sits down.
Aurelio and Nico Face Off Again
After asking Aurelio to pick up a box of used clothing for him, Father Nico challenges his brother yet again to set things right with his daughter. They are both broken and continue hurting each other. Aurelio thinks it is crazy that Vero is still looking for her child after all these years, Nico doesn't . He asks Aurelio if it is easier to carry his hurt pride than facing his remorse. Aurelio explodes and tells him he has no right to talk like that because he knows that Nico left a woman that he loved when he entered the seminary. Nico counters reminding Aurelio that he stayed with a woman that he didn't love at all. Nico thinks that they have both made mistakes but you cannot spend life hiding behind them.
Dani Finds the Support She Needs
Dani has done her research on the internet and has found a group for UFO abductees/experiencers. She is welcomed and they eagerly listen as she tells them that she feels like her parents were abducted. They were flying to Miami and the plane must have gone off course and ended up in the Bermuda Triangle. She knows all of the stories about what has happened there. The people in the group say that they will help her communicate with her parents and they tell her she is not alone.
Vero Gets Closer to Vale
Vero tells Vale she has a surprise for her. She has arranged all of her clothing according to season and color. Vale loves it! Vero says she got the idea from reading some articles in an internet magazine that a woman (she must be talking about herself herself) wrote about fashion.Vale decides that she has outgrown much of the clothing and needs to buy some new things to wear. She invites Vero to go with her since she has such a good sense of fashion.
Vero changes into street clothes and Carmen tells her she is going nowhere.
Vale argues with her. She wants Vero to go shopping with her. Carmen is tired of Vero not working her full schedule in the ten days she has been employed there. Carmen finally asks why Vale didn't ask her to go shopping with her. Vale realizes she is jealous and tells her that Vero has excellent fashion sense and rearranged her closet according to season and color! Carmen finally gives in. Vale kisses her on the cheek before they leave. Carmen goes to check out the closet and nods approvingly. They have a great time shopping until Vero gets spooked when she sees her father down the block watching her and Vale as they leave the. store.
OH! NO! Kassandra Set the Bait and Joaquín is Getting Closer to Being Reeled In Hook. Line and Sinker
Joaquín finds Kassandra sleeping (she is really pretending to sleep) on the couch in her office. He tells her how beautiful she looks and offers to take her home. Once at her place, she puts on some jazz and goes to get some wine. He thinks back on "Consuelo" vacuuming up his tie and smiles. He tells Kassandra that he is enjoying being at her place . It is a nice break from being with the kids all the time. She claims to have the same problem because her mother is very intrusive. They agree they understand each other very well. She goes in for a kiss and he is ready to respond when her mother walks in.

Kassandra reminds her mother that she supports her and gives her a place to live. Clearly upset, Isaura says "Crias cuervos y te sacarán los ojos." (Raise crows, and they will pluck your eyes out.) clearly referring to her dear Kassandra.
At work the next day, Kassandra admits that she is jealous to Joaquín after she sees an investor flirting with hm. She admits she was also jealous with the Consuelo incident. He laughs but adds that he feels that things are changing between them. They almost kiss again but he gets an important call. It is Carmen. Meli informed her that Dani is missing. "Crias cuervos y te sacarán los ojos" had me smiling away. Kassandra and Isaura's "loving" relationship just warms the heart, doesn't it? The sharks circle the water.
"Vero opens her heart and tells Facundo everything". Has his obvious pursuit of her not set off any alarms? Does she think he is truly altruistic and has only her best interests at heart? She is playing with fire; he will turn into a rabid animal once she rejects him.
Vero and Vale were having such a good time and were bonding gloriously. Too bad Aurelio saw them together; you could see the wheels in his fevered little brain already turning.
"Aurelio explodes and tells him he has no right to talk like that because he knows that Nico left a woman that he loved when he entered the seminary". Intriguing. "Nico counters reminding Aurelio that he stayed with a woman that he didn't love at all". Unsurprising. I have to admit I'm looking forward to him being in Isaura's greedy clutches. :)
Iván rushes in trying to give Romina her moment in the sun. One need not be a psychic to realize this is going to blow up in his face.

So, the good father was in love before he became a priest. Will we meet the woman ? Was it Aurelio's wife or perhaps Consuelo ?
The Isaura /Aurelio connection will be interesting since they are both not very nice folks..
I have no patience for people who go after married people . Ivan has too much time on his hands . He knows that Romina has a big, jealous caveman of a husband . Ivan is going to get punched out at some point.
Cassandra being interrupted from reeling in prey by her scheming mother was poetic justice . ha ha
My favorite part of the show was Hugo dancing with the girls . I love to dance and love watching people dance . The actor looked like he was having fun.

Okay...and Rex's adoptive mother is daughter of their abuelo with another woman ..Candelaria. Aramis really got around . Lovely human being. Susan

Susan, I don’t think anyone knows Rex is Catalina’s daughter except us. No one even knows she’s adopted.
Ines’s spy is called Limon. He seems to work very closely with Sofía. I think he’s just in it for the money.
Grecia keeps talking about having to “split the inheritance” with too many people. Could she be another by-blow? I don’t see the appeal of Daddy Dearest, but I guess money talks…persuasively.

Thanks Jarifa, for another great recap! When I saw Ivan wink I figured it was just a ploy to win Romina over. I lost any respect I had for him, which wasn’t much. Although after the tv scene with Majo I was beginning to soften. He shouldn’t even be going after a married woman, let alone one who works in the same place.
Isaura being with Aurelio is not good. I wonder if it will advance enough to for Consuelo to find out. Maybe that will make her move on. And I wonder if Aurelio will figure out that Vero was with her daughter, his granddaughter.
Those people that Dani is with worry me. I wonder if they’re going to reinforce her belief and also expect money to communicate with her parents.

But, there are exceptions. As Aurelio so cruelly gave his granddaughter away despite his daughter's pleas and still, to this very day has no remorse means he is irredeemable. I'm at a loss to explain Consuelo's feelings toward him but don't want things compounded by their being together.

DANI
Meli alerts Joaquín to what Dani was researching on the internet and he is able to find her at the abductee group she is attending. When Vale literally yells at her when she gets home, Dani shouts her down telling her not to talk to her. Joaquín explains they were worried about her and tries to explain what danger she was in on public transportation in an enormous city. She asks if anyone want to know why??? She needed to talk and for somebody to listen, believe her and not look at her like she is crazy. She knows her parents are not dead because she can feel it in her heart. Why can't they believe her? She runs to the safety of Vero's arms. Vero tells her that she believes her. She doesn't know if her parents are alive in another galaxy or on a lost island or in her heart but she does know that as long as she feels them in her heart, she will never ever be alone. That calms her down. Joaquín tells Dani that he doesn't know anything about ET's, etc. but he respects her beliefs. If she wants to go to a group, he will go with her. She only has to let him know. That makes her smile.
Carmen has to admit to herself that Vero has "something about her."
ROMINA
Aurelio asks Marcos where Romina is. She isn't at her desk. Marcos has no idea. Aurelio moans about seeing Vero, dressed very oddly with glasses, ignoring him on the street. He thinks she needs a man to get her to settle down. Hugo tells them that he saw Romina leave with Iván in a taxi. Marcos is clearly aggravated.
Romina is modeling at the photo shoot. From Janet's reactions, Iván knows that Romina is not doing well. Janet tells him either the camera loves you or it doesn't. Romina's phone starts ringing. She runs to answer it. Iván stops her since it is Marcos. He says she can talk to him later. Now she needs to take advantage of this chance she is being given to fulfill her dream . She finishes the photo shoot but overhears Janet telling Iván that she is far too tense and isn't a fit for the job. She thanks Janet for the chance, says she never should have come and leaves ALONE.
Romina goes home and starts to make a meatball dinner for (that meatball) Marcos. She leaves a message for Vero that if anybody asks they went shopping together. Marcos comes home to a happy Romina and asks her where she was. She says she went shopping with Vero. He tells her that is not true. She was seen leaving with Ivàn.
DIEGO
After dropping off some files in Joaquín's office, Diego picks up a photo of his dad and Joaquín. He starts to cry. Iván comes in. He knows Diego doesn't have it easy but he should not to take on responsibilities that aren't his. Diego says he is the oldest and his sisters need him. It is what his father expected of him. Iván asks what is it that he needs and invites him back to the house for a beer or in Diego's case a lemonade.
Diego likes Iván because he isn't serious like his brother. Iván thinks that Joaquín is a great guy. What he is doing for him is from his heart. Diego thinks it is out of a sense of guilt for not being on that plane. Iván defends his brother saying maybe taking care of the family was not in his plans but he is doing the best he can. He reminds Diego they all could have ended up in an orphanage.
Majo walks in and Diego smiles.

DANI
Meli alerts Joaquín to what Dani was researching on the internet and he is able to find her at the abductee group she is attending. When Vale literally yells at her when she gets home, Dani shouts her down telling her not to talk to her. Joaquín explains they were worried about her and tries to explain what danger she was in on public transportation in an enormous city. She asks if anyone want to know why??? She needed to talk and for somebody to listen, believe her and not look at her like she is crazy. She knows her parents are not dead because she can feel it in her heart. Why can't they believe her? She runs to the safety of Vero's arms. Vero tells her that she believes her. She doesn't know if her parents are alive in another galaxy or on a lost island or in her heart but she does know that as long as she feels them in her heart, she will never ever be alone. That calms her down. Joaquín tells Dani that he doesn't know anything about ET's, etc. but he respects her beliefs. If she wants to go to a group, he will go with her. She only has to let him know. That makes her smile.
Carmen has to admit to herself that Vero has "something about her."
ROMINA
Aurelio asks Marcos where Romina is. She isn't at her desk. Marcos has no idea. Aurelio moans about seeing Vero, dressed very oddly with glasses, ignoring him on the street. He thinks she needs a man to get her to settle down. Hugo tells them that he saw Romina leave with Iván in a taxi. Marcos is clearly aggravated.
Romina is modeling at the photo shoot. From Janet's reactions, Iván knows that Romina is not doing well. Janet tells him either the camera loves you or it doesn't. Romina's phone starts ringing. She runs to answer it. Iván stops her since it is Marcos. He says she can talk to him later. Now she needs to take advantage of this chance she is being given to fulfill her dream . She finishes the photo shoot but overhears Janet telling Iván that she is far too tense and isn't a fit for the job. She thanks Janet for the chance, says she never should have come and leaves ALONE.

Hugo visits Diego at work to give him a heads up. Eleazar is interested in his sister and Eleazar is nothing more than a show-off who acts like he is the king of the world. On the other hand, Vale is vulnerable. He is telling him this because he knows his father told him to take care of his sisters. Diego looks serious but says nothing.
Eleazar video calls Vale with his shirt off. She asks him to put it on. He wants to know if she wants him to train her as he proposed. They can start today. She smiles.

Mario is pleased because Navarro lost the sponsor that he wanted so badly to him. Facundo is concerned about his son Eleazar's career finally taking off. Mario says that depends on Facundo because the game has barely begun. Winning one meet isn't enough. They cannot forget their main objective: to watch Joaquín fall while the Navarro team rusts and fractures from the inside out. Mario wonders how far Facundo is ready to go. Facundo is willing to go until Joaquín ends up like he left him: defeated and all alone with his life in ruins.

Joaquín talks to Kassandra from home and tells her about what happened with Dani. He will not be coming into the office. He has too much on his plate. She thinks he needs to relax and invites him over to her house since they do have an issue pending . . . (the kiss) He says he will see her tomorrow. To be honest, he feels like she is making him lose control so he has to be careful. With the kids' well-being at stake, he cannot afford to make a mistake. He needs to focus on supporting the family and not what he is feeling.
Kassandra pops over for a visit! She brings tomes and recordings on UFO's to help Joaquín understand what is gong on with Dani. He thanks her. She tells him how much she admires him and how she wants to be part of all of this, of him, of what he is building. He tells her he values her support. She adds that she knows she isn't perfect but she wants to be better if he gives her a chance to be a real pillar for him and the children. She is ready if he is. He is reluctant saying he doesn't want to lose the lovely friendship they have if it doesn't work out. She is willing to take the risk. They end up kissing. Consuelo comes in and sees them. She bumps into a bookcase making herself known. She apologizes. Joaquín says no problem and asks her to set a place for Kassandra at the table. Kassandra complains that Vero ruined the moment. Joaquín says it wasn't her fault . They really need to be more cautious. He then concludes that the kiss really should not have happened. She asks if he is sorry. He really doesn't know. It has nothing to do with her. It is everything else. Both he and the kids need stability. She says she understands and they go looking through the UFO materials.

Did he give any thought to the position he was putting her in with Marcos? Now, what little confidence she had in herself is shattered and her marriage is in even more trouble. Not. Well. Done.

Is Mario Phantom of the Opera hideous or is all of this just to build up the momentum for the (eventual) reveal?

Wow, that was quite an episode last night .
I got a kick out of Sofia's dress catching on a nail just as she stepped on the stage and being in her black skip , which to me , looked a lot like the dress she was wearing ! Of course, instead of just stepping back off stage, she just stands there . Then,instead for pulling her off stage, love sick Franco stands in frontbof her and then puts his jacket on her . Cat smiles at the lovebirds , while jealous Gins glares and fumes. I had my beanie on , but I am going to have to sew on a strap because it blew off.. I am suspending my disbelief as bard as I can which I didn't have go do when I watched the original AV.
The proposal ...wow....like a mega prom posal using the entire baseball team and cheering squad , who actually had uniforms that covered more than Barbie and her friend were wearing .
Gonz loves to grab and threaten Uriel because the guy can't fight back .What was his problem with Uriel.?
The two old people grappling was upsetting. Yikes Susan

This show continues to be silly. Sofia loses her grumpy outer dress by catching it on a screw as she walks on stage. In any other true scenario it would have simply been a small tear in the dress. Her slip was pretty enough she should have just pretended it was a dress.
I also wondered if Grecia was another daughter of Aramis. No mention is ever made if Sofia and Cat's mother. I wonder if he married her for money or the business. Gina seems to be a similar age to the other sisters. If I es was involved with Aramis when chavo was only 4 how old are we guessing he currently is in the show. 25 maybe ( I initially thought about 30 but his potential love interests if 19 year olds seems like he is probably younger if Ines was in charge of getting rid of Cat's daughter 18 or so years ago. That actress looks about 16 to me!
Another thing that bugs me, Carlos is an instructor at the college. Fraternization with students is really frowned upon in the US. I would assume it's the same in Mexico. And what college brings in a new student mid semester and puts her in a class that is already underway?
I think I slept through some of the episodes. Is Barbie's friend not rich? She seemed to have a godfather that has a pawn shop or something. That girl.confuses me. She seems a bit psycho.

I am two episodes behind due to home construction, but earlier this week it was revealed that Barbi’s friend Monique is the stepdaughter of our favorite loan shark, El Bulldog. He calls her Monica, so it appears she has changed her name to go with her aspirations. He also made a comment about giving her money for clothes, etc.

Thanks Blue Lass. I knew I had to have missed something. I also missed her hitting Rex but saw it in a flashback scene. I'm not dedicated enough to rewatch when it puts me to sleep. I also didn't understand what the event Sofia spoke at was for, but generally if it's business related it never makes logical sense anyhow.
