Kara Para Ask – Black Money Love – Amor de Contrabando – Amor y Dinero Negro
Episode 147 #1 of 7

Fatih drives up with Nilufer at the hospital to leave her off. He halfheartedly offers to accompany her. She angrily replies that it’s obvious he’s afraid of running into Omer, and he’s right. She tells him Omer will find him because she will tell him everything she knows about Elif, Husseyn being alive, etc. Fatih tells her he doubts Omer will be thinking of his brother while Elif is dying. She turns to him and tells him Elif isn’t going to die. She tells him to pray for her because she won’t forgive Fatih if something happens to her sister.

Inside, Omer is standing and Asli and Nedret are sitting outside the room where Elif is. The nurse comes out and tells Omer that Elif is the same as she was five minutes ago. (He’s obviously been asking constantly for updates.) Filiz tells Nedret they prepared a room for her where they will give her tranquilizers. Both Filiz and Asli encourage Nedret to go. Then Nilufer comes running in. Asli tells her they know nothing yet but not to lose hope. They need to remain calm, hard as that is. Omer watches this but is very nervous. Nilufer asks how something like this happened, but Asli tells her they don’t know. Asli tells her that Elif was two-months pregnant and lost her baby. Nilufer says that Omer must be devastated, but Asli tells her he doesn’t know yet. Omer continues to watch the door, willing it to open.

Tayyar is in bed in his hideout. Fatih enters and tells him he hopes that he recovers. Tayyar tells Fatih to leave the door open.
Fatih: What’s up? You don’t want to be alone with me? That hurts my feelings. You had surgery and I had no idea where you were. Why didn’t you tell me?
Tayyar: Life is beautiful, Fatih, and you know what they say, you can’t trust anyone in this world, not even your blasted family.
Fatih: You can think whatever you want about me. How do you feel?
Tayyar: Fine, and I would have liked to be better, but I’m used to waking up to bad news. I imagine you already heard what Omer did.
Fatih: No, what did Omer do?
Tayyar: He talked to the DA again.
Fatih: Why?
Tayyar: Do you think his brother is still alive?
Fatih looks at Tayyar, turning his head this way, then that, and then he smiles. He and Tayyar grin at this.
Fatih: Omer is so desperate he doesn’t even know what he’s saying anymore. They found his DNA; I killed him myself. Poor Omer, he’s really going crazy.
Tayyar chuckles: Is that what you think?
Fatih: Husseyn won’t be able to dig himself out of the grave.
Tayyar: You buried him really deep then?
Fatih: A good shot, and Omer buried him. Ask Omer himself. He buried him. He didn’t let me do it.
Tayyar: If it had been him, he would have done the same. He was his brother, and he hurt him a lot.
Fatih: That’s right.
Tayyar seems to be having a laugh at all this: They’re very sentimental. I bet he left a hole in his skull so he could feel the sunlight from inside, right?

Episode 147 #2 of 7
The doctor comes in: Mr. Tayyar, I need to take you to the hospital. The ambulance is waiting outside.
Tayyar agrees and Fatih tells the doctor to take good care of his father. The doctor tells him not to worry. Fatih bids his father goodbye and gives him the kiss of respect. He tells his father to get better and Tayyar thanks him.
Tayyar hasn’t stopped staring intently at Fatih during this conversation. Fatih leaves, while Tayyar seems to be full of doubts.
Outside, Fatih tells Neco it all went perfectly: I did it, as the prosecutor suspected, but luckily he doesn’t suspect anything.
Neco tells him his plan is excellent: Nobody can interfere, but Omer has always been your problem. What makes you suspicious now?
Fatih: Omar is the problem. He suspects Husseyn is alive. Did you do what I asked?
Neco tells him he did: I gave him a cell phone. If something happens, we have a way to contact Husseyn.
Fatih: I hope he doesn’t call anyone else. Tell the nurse to keep an eye on him.

Husseyn is lying in his bed in the mobile hospital. He has the cell phone and is tempted to call. He finally calls home but says nothing. Elvan answers. Husseyn is in tears listening to his mother. He doesn’t answer and she is frustrated and keeps asking who is calling. Husseyn is on the verge of speaking and he quickly disconnects. Elvan slams the phone down in frustration. Husseyn says what he would have said to his mother after hanging up. The actor shows great remorse, and it shows what a good actor he is, because Husseyn is so often a monster.

Tayyar is getting up from his hospital bed asks his henchie if they have men following Fatih and Neco. They assure him that they do. Tayyar says that’s good because he wants to know what they are up to and praises his henchie. Tayyar wants to know where Mumtaz is and is told he is busy, that he checked everything and then left. This sets off Tayyar.
Tayyar: Busy with what? Where the hell did he go?
Henchie doesn’t know and Tayyar tells him to call Mumtaz and bring him there immediately.
Tayyar is wheeled out of the safe house in his chair/gurney.

Melike and Fatma are looking for the place they were to meet their contact (Mumtaz). Fatma tells Melike the place doesn’t look familiar. Then Melike recognizes a building that they were in the night before. Melike greets some workers and tells them they are looking for someone who was there the night before. She describes him, down to his thick eyebrows. The man tells them he doesn’t know them. Melike looks earnestly at him and asks why not. She tells him he was there last night and has something of theirs. The man tells her the place closes at night. The only workers are the two of them, and they aren’t there at night. Melike tells him they gave him a briefcase and he came in there. He again tells her she is mistaken.
Fatma is looking around and Melike tells her she can’t believe this is happening to them. Fatma looks up high and tells her it is the right place. They are being closely watched by a man in a car, Mumtaz!

In the hospital, Omer is standing waiting for news about Elif. The nurse comes to him and tells him he should go back to work. We have your number so we can call if there’s a change.
Omer: Do you think I’m going to leave her alone?
The nurse says it’s as he wishes.
Pelin and Arda are walking toward Omer. They ask Omer if he has any news about Elif. Omer tells them there is no news. He tells them he told them not to come. Arda tells him he is there to be with his best friend. Pelin reassures Omer that they are working on the case and that Ipek and Tolga haven’t stopped investigating.
Omer: Is there any news?

Episode 147 #3 of 7
Arda: We still don’t have any concrete evidence, but the prosecutor authorized us to open the tomb. We’ll do it tomorrow.
Omer: What good news.
Arda: You can’t come with us. We have to go alone.
Omer: Elif is still asleep, so I’m not going anywhere. I feel that if I leave her alone, someone or something could hurt her. In fact, I’ve been here since last night.
Pelin: She’ll be fine. She would never leave you alone. Look, I’ll brought you a gift. It’s Elif’s prison journal. Her friend wants you to have it.
Arda: Well, that’s our work done. Tell us if you need anything, OK?
Omer thanks them.
He sits and starts to read. “My hope, you don’t know how much I want to hold your hand and be by your side at this time. The people you love are the ones who can hurt you the most. It’s such a great pain that it can kill you. …”

At the mobile hospital, Husseyn is in his bed reading a newspaper. He wads it up and throws it in frustration. Then he turns on the television. “Elif Denizer, the one who was jailed awaiting trial for murder, was injured during a prison riot and taken to intensive care at the hospital.”
Husseyn turns off the tv and makes a call to information for the hospital phone number.
He calls the hospital: I called to find out about one of your patients, Elif Denizer, in ICU. I’m a relative of hers.
Receptionist: Please wait a minute, sir, while I contact ICU. Then she tells him that they did surgery last night and she is under medical observation. She hasn’t regained consciousness.
Husseyn: What does that mean?
Receptionist: That she’s still sleeping. She is stable, but she’s still in critical condition.
Husseyn thanks her and hangs up. He is very impactado: You’ll burn in hell, Husseyn. This is all your fault.

Fatih is meeting with his doctor henchie. Fatih tells him he has to deliver the report. Even in person, they have to be very careful.
Doctor: It’s very difficult to change the autopsy report, but I’m going to do my best.
Fatih: Listen, It’s your career that’s in danger. You’ll use Husseyn’s foot to get the DNA sample.
Doctor: It must be his foot. It doesn’t matter who opens the grave. Seriously, there won’t be problems. The’ll take the test and they will say that Husseyn Demir is the body in that tomb.
Fatih: So be it, because that will be our grave if something goes wrong. You need to be careful and alert.
The henchie spy (might be Mumtaz, I can’t keep the henchies straight!) that Tayyar sent to follow Fatih is watching this carefully and takes a picture of the two men.

Back at the hospital, Omer is sitting and reading Elif’s prison journal. “When I saw the kite this morning, I was very surprised, Captain. It was beautiful. I realized that you would do anything for me, and I felt happy, full of hope. I told myself, Miss, don’t lose hope. The Captain is going get you out of this place. After so many dark days, I finally feel the sun in my heart. Maybe I won’t be able to get out of here soon, and maybe I won’t be able to touch your face as I would like, but I will wait very patiently, quietly, because I am sure that my love reaches you, even though I can’t tell you, and that someday we’ll finally be together.” Omer sits holding the journal and smiling.
We see Asli walking down the hall.
Asli: Omer, did you hear anything?
Omer: No.

Episode 147 #4 of 7
Asli sits beside him: Omer, the doctor told me something, and I think you need to know.
Omer looks concerned and asks what he said.
Asli: I promised Nilufer I wouldn’t say anything, but we always suffer because of the secrets and lies between us. That’s why I think we should tell each other everything we know.
Omer: I don’t understand, Asli. What are you talking about?
Asli: Elif was pregnant, but her doctor told us the child didn’t survive. I’m so sorry.
Once again, we see pain in Omer’s face.

Demet is writing in her bedroom when little stones hit her window. She yells at her brothers, Hasan and Burhan, that she is trying to study. Another stone hits. She stomps over to the window, asking why don’t they go play somewhere else. She opens the window to find Mert making his way up the side of the building. He reaches her window, and the two smile at one another. Demet tells him that if her grandmother sees him, she’ll kill them both. Mert says he just needs to look at her. She tells him he needs to go. He says OK, but they need to get together tomorrow night. She signals no, and he says he will stay there, like a bird, but that she will need to feed him. She grins at this. She agrees to meet him. He kisses her on the cheek and then lowers himself back to the ground. Demet closes her window, but her expression is now joyful.
Just then Elvan comes into the room. Elvan asks where Demet’s mother is. Demet tells Elvan that she went out with Fatma. Elvan is surprised that they didn’t tell her they were going out.
Elvan asks Demet to call her mother and tell her to come home now.
Elvan: We’re going to visit your father’s grave tomorrow. We need to prepare.
Later, Demet returns to her books, but she is much happier now.

Tayyar is resting in bed. A henchie knocks and enters.
Henchie: Mr. Fatih met a man in a café. We don’t know what they talked about, but he seemed a little upset.
Tayyar: Who was that man?
Henchie: We don’t know, sir.
Tayyar is angry: Why haven’t you investigated him? Get out. Go and investigate.
Tayyar is thinking to himself what all this means.

At the gravesite, Husseyn has called Fatih. This infuriates Fatih who tells him he can’t keep calling him or they will find them. Husseyn tells him to stop giving him advice. Husseyn asks why he called him. What’s gone wrong?
Fatih: Bad news, Husseyn. Omer is convinced that you’re alive.
Husseyn: What are you saying?
Fatih: They are going to exhume the body.
Husseyn: To check the DNA. Did you do something about it?
Fatih: I’m always one step ahead, old man. You think I’d cut off your leg without a plan? I told you I’m a professional. But we have to be very careful. Now, it’s best if we don’t see each other again for a while. Yes, your brother messed up the plan, and we have to hurry. So, do what you have to do and do it right away. You kill Tayyar Dundar and later you can do whatever you want.
Husseyn: I can do it whenever I want, but first I have to be sure you keep your end of the bargain, OK?
Fatih: Now, I’ll give you your money.

Episode 174 #5 of 7
Husseyn: Money? Aren’t you forgetting something? Don’t you remember our deal?
Fatih: That’s right, I forgot.
Husseyn: First, bring me my son.
Fatih wants Tayyar dead and Husseyn wants Burhan. They argue about which will be done first.
Husseyn tells him he must bring him Burhan first. Fatih hangs up the phone and looks pensive. Neco has been watching this interchange. Husseyn is also very thoughtful in the mobile hospital and looks at his prosthetic leg.

Mumtaz, Fatma, and Melike are at a waterside café. Fatma says they never expected it to be like this. Otherwise, they wouldn’t have given him the briefcase.
Fatma: It’s obvious that he tricked us.
Mumtaz slams the tabletop: I want my briefcase. Where did you hide it? Tell me. I want it back.
Melike: We don’t have it, I swear to God. What was inside? We can buy it and give it back. We can resolve this that way.
Mumtaz: Well, however you want. I’m going to meet with the owner of the briefcase in about six hours, and as you know, I have to give it to its owner. If you want to help me resolve this, you’ll have to give me 100,000 liras within six hours, or else I’ll get that money from you another way.
Melike’s face falls when she hears the amount and the threat. As he leaves, she tells Fatma they are dead!
Just then, her phone rings. She sees it’s from the house, and answers. Elvan is looking for her and wants to know where she is. She tells her to return right away because Elif is hurt and in the hospital. Melike tells her of course they will hurry and hangs up. Fatma wants to know who is hurt.

In the hospital, we see Elif still unconscious. Omer is standing next to her bed.
Omer: When you wake, I won’t be brave enough to tell you this. I’m full of hope that you’ll get better, but life is so cruel that it keeps taking away the beautiful things we have. We’ve been through terrible things, but we never stopped dreaming nor lost hope, and we’ve survived. Although we never dreamed of having a baby, we never even considered that. Would you like to have a boy or girl? I don’t even know the answer, we never talked about it. Can you hear me? Can you hear me?
Omer rubs his eyes that are full of tears.
Omer: Our soul is inside our body, and our love is drawn in our heart.
He is holding her hand. A tear falls from Elif’s eye.
Omer: Elif!
Just then the nurse comes in and Omer tells her he saw a tear. He tells the nurse, but she thinks it is just a reflex.
Omer: Can you hear me, my love? I ask for your forgiveness with all my heart. All this is my fault. I didn’t protect you or our baby. I’m sorry. Forgive me.
He kisses her hand and then looks intently at her with immense pain showing in his face.
In a hospital waiting area near the stairs, the sisters are talking. Nilufer wishes Asli hadn’t told him about the baby, but Asli tells her they couldn’t hide something like that.
Nilufer: Every time I hold my baby in my arms, I’m going to think about that poor, innocent baby. It’s strange, isn’t it? I mean, it’s fate.
Asli: Elif should never know about the baby.
Nilufer: Omer won’t be able to hide it.
Asli: He can out of compassion. He won’t tell her. And your baby is going to make Elif smile. She’s going to hold him in her arms as if he were her own son. Her baby is now an angel. She mustn’t know.
The sisters agree and embrace.

Episode 147 # 6 of 7
Omer is sitting in the hall outside Elif’s room. Elvan walks up to him and they embrace.
Elvan: How is Elif?
Omer: She’s stable, but she hadn’t opened her eyes yet.
Melike and Fatma join him.
Melike asks if she will be OK. Omer tells her she will recover. Elvan looks at him intently. She senses that there is something else making him profoundly sad.
Melike gets a phone call and says it’s Demet, but it’s Mumtaz. Fatma goes with her as she answers, and Omer notices this.
Elvan: There’s something different in my son’s eyes, and he’s hiding it from his mother. What are you hiding from your mother, son?
Omer: Elif was pregnant. We were going to have a baby, but he was murdered.
Elvan: May Allah let him rest in peace. You can’t go against fate. Destiny wanted you to suffer even before having a baby. Now, he’s in the clouds and he’s her guardian angel.
Omer hugs her and manages a smile.

Tayyar is playing a video game on his laptop as he rests in bed.
Mumtaz enters.
Tayyar: Welcome, thanks for coming. Where have you been all day? Are you an idiot?
Mumtaz: I’ve been following Mr. Fatih, as you ordered.
Tayyar: What were you doing?
Mumtaz: He’s still following Ms. Nilufer. He also went to the hospital where Ms. Elif is and he took Ms. Nilufer.
Tayyar: He’s so stupid. He’s a first-rate idiot! Well, did you notice anything different or suspicious about him? Was he somewhere mysterious or did he meet with someone unknown?
Mumtaz: No sir, he didn’t do anything else.
Tayyar gestures for him to leave and is deep in thought.

The nurse is with Elif. There is a dramatic Turkish song playing. Omer enters and strokes her brow.
Outside, Nilufer sits on a bench in the garden. Asli brings her a drink. Asli has to push Nilufer to take the drink. They are still on the bench when Mert and Demet come up to them later. Fatih is watching this from his auto. His expression is hard to read. He may feel jealous of Mert or he may feel sad for his family, or both.
In her hospital room, Nedret is reading someone the riot act on her phone. Ah, we see it’s Tayyar. Their conversation is very animated, but we can’t hear it because we are still listening to the lovely Turkish music. Nedret hangs up. She looks at Filiz, who is sleeping on the loveseat. (Or maybe not! We can only hope she heard their conversation!) She covers Feliz with a blanket and strokes her hair.

Omer is still in his perch by Elif’s bed, holding her hand. He looks asleep. Elif’s hand moves slightly. Omer wakes suddenly as he almost falls out of his chair. He wishes the sleeping Elif good morning. He asks the nurse if she has any good news for him. She shakes her head. Omer asks her if she thinks she will wake today. She tells him they have no way of telling. They nurse then asks him to leave. She thinks he might be stressing Elif. She tells him she has let him stay without permission. She doesn’t want any problems. Omer agrees.
He reaches over and gives Elif a kiss on her forehead.
Outside, he finds the sisters as well as Arda and Pelin. They ask how she is, and he indicates no change. Asli tells him he should get some rest and says he looks terrible.
He then looks at Arda and Pelin and asks what they are doing there. Shouldn’t they be at the cemetery?
Arda: We were passing by and wanted to know how Elif was.
Omer: She’s the same as before, but they’re taking good care of her. She’s going to get better.
Asli: Well, Captain, we’re going to stay with her today, and you’re going to leave right now. I don’t want to see you here. Go rest and leave us alone with our sister.
Omer: Asli, I’m fine.
Nilufer: We did what you asked us to do. We went home and rested.
Arda: Omer, they’re right. We can take you home. Go change, take a shower, rest a little, and then come back.
Asli: Do it!
Omer: Fine, I’m leaving now but I’ll be back soon. Take good care of Elif!
Omer smiles at them and leaves with Arda. The sisters sit down together outside Elif’s room.

Thanks Babachita! Wonderful recap!

Asli first tells Omer that she HAS to tell him about the baby because they only get hurt when they keep secrets from each other and then tell Nilu that they will NEVER tell Elif??? I wonder if she'd see the disconnect in that if someone pointed it out. It's hard to tell with Asli.

Mumtaz lied to Tayyar!!!! Interesting - makes you wonder. Clearly, he's not following Tayyar's orders in his business with Melike and Fatma so what is he doing? Side hustle?? And now that Tayyar knows he's lying what will happen next? I'm surprised Tayyar didn't kill him instantly, maybe he's worried about running out of the never-ending supply of henchies?

kpa

I can’t decide if Muntaz is in cahoots with Fatih or on his own. It’s dangerous to try to fool Tayyar!!! It’s also dangerous working for both Tayyar and Fatih!!!

I hope Elif actually heard Omer when he talked about her pregnancy thinking she can’t hear him. But, I also wonder if she already knew anyway and hadn’t told anyone. But Asli and Nilu’s logic is very confusing.

Thanks for the recap, Babachita! Yes, we are getting close to the end!

You never know who you can trust. Tayyar said one can’t even trust their own family. So many twists and turns keep us interested in the story.

#148 part 1

Stupid Huseyin calls the house again. This time Demet answers the phone. Huso doesn’t speak. Hasan tells his sister that someone has been calling but doesn’t speak. Grandma says it’s a pervert. Huso hears his son’s voice. His tears well up. Demet hangs up. But at least Huso has heard their voices.

Elvan sees that Demet isn’t dressed yet. They are running late. Melike says she’s bringing a dish to the bakery. After prayers at the cemetery, they’ll share it with the neighbors. Melike leaves the house and is followed by a car. She’s frightened. It’s Mumtaz and he cuts her off. He’s angry. He wants his money. How will I find that much money, she asks, have mercy. He threatens her. Now I’m your boss and you’ll do what I tell you.

Melike explains they went to see that man for the briefcase. She starts to cry, I’m a poor woman and I committed a horrible sin. Don’t do this. Please have mercy. Listen, my BIL is a cop, he would never forgive me. Don’t get us into trouble. Mumtaz replies, this is unbelievable, you cry and threaten me at the same time. Don’t fool with me. If you want to protect Demet and Hasan’s lives, you must give me Burhan.

Melike is stunned. Burhan? Why do you want him? Mumtaz warns, don’t ask, just do as I say. He’s not even your own son. Get rid of him. Tell people he got lost. After a while they will lose hope and stop looking for him. You’ll get rid of me and your 100K debt.

The exhumation is about to begin. Omer is getting impatient. Arda tells him he should go but you know Omer, he’s staying. Pelin spots Omer’s family arriving. Omer rushes over. The family is shocked. What’s going on, Elvan asks, we came to pray for your brother. What are you doing here? Omer tells her there was a problem and he’ll explain later.

A cop tells Omer they can start to open the grave. The family is horrified as the workers start to dig. Elvan asks why they are doing this. Omer explains that new tests need to be done and says, I’ll tell you later. You can say prayers at home. Elvan is very upset. Are you going to take him out of the grave? This is a sin. Let him rest in peace. Omer begs her to go home and asks Melike to take Elvan. Pelin walks away with them. Arda tells Omer he did the right thing. You can’t tell her anything if we’re not sure.

Vigil at the hospital. Bad news. Elif has had more internal bleeding. Asli says she can donate blood.

Omer catches up with the DA. He tells Omer to go back to work, he’ll handle everything from here. Omer insists on being present for everything. The DA asks if Omer is implying something. Omer replies, estağfirullah. [Omer is using this term here to say that’s not true, but we know what he’s really thinking.]

They enter the doctor’s office. The DA hands over the report with the autopsy and DNA result. He tells the doc the brother wants to compare results. We want another DNA test. Omer says a sample was taken from the foot, but now we want a sample from the bone. The doctor questions this, why take a sample from burned bone, when we have intact tissue? Omer replies, the foot might belong to my brother, but the body isn’t his. I want to know about the body.

Omer and the doc start to argue. The DA steps in. We handed the body over to the lab and the doctor has the documents. We have nothing else to do here. Let him do his job. Omer makes it clear to the doc he wants a bone sample. The doc and DA exchange looks. The doc says he’ll do it the testing. The DA and doc nod at each other before parting.

#148 part 2

The Demirs are back home. Pelin is with them. Melike asks Burhan if he’d like some milk. He says yes and he’s hungry, too. Melike takes him to the kitchen. Pelo tells Elvan to call if she needs anything. Omer is busy but we can come if needed. Elvan thanks her. The phone rings and Melike hurries to answer. It’s Huso the pervert calling again so there’s no answer. Elvan tells her to hang up.

Elvan explains the situation to Pelo. Someone calls and listens to our voices and hangs up. A likely pervert. Pelo starts thinking. Melike thinks there’s a problem with the connection because she hears a strange noise in the background. Pelo asks Elvan, when did the calls start? The last 2 or 3 days, Elvan says, it’s very strange. Pelo asks her to inform her if it happens again. They can investigate. Pelo leaves. Melike feeds Burhan some bread and milk and she sadly sighs. I guess she’s thinking about what Mumtaz told her.

Pelo makes a call. Hello? It’s me. Do me a favor. I’m going to send you a phone number by text, and I want you to tell me the numbers that have called. Thanks.

Mumtaz and Fatih meet in some out of the way place. Mumtaz tells him he didn’t have to come. Everything is under control. Fatih says this is important, tell me, will we take the child tonight? Mumtaz says yes. Fatih asks if Tayyar suspects anything. No, Mumtaz replies, and when I receive info about you, I alter it, so Tayyar won’t suspect.

A henchie comes to tell Tayyar they found out who the man is that met with Fatih at the café. He’s a forensic doctor that did Huseyin Demir’s autopsy report. Tayyar explodes—bring him here now!

Pelo returns to the station and Arda tells her that Ipek dropped another bomb. We have a lot of work to do. If Huseyin Abi is alive and missing a leg, what does he need? A prosthesis. Ipek says they made a list of all the prosthetic companies in Istanbul. We’ve checked the cameras near them and are monitoring. Ipek asks about Omer’s family. Pelo says as you would expect. Pelo gets a call and leaves the room to take it. [it’s probably about the phone number.]

Omer returns to the hospital. He sees the sisters are very upset. He is alarmed and asks, why are you crying? Nilu blurts—Elif, Elif is dying. Asli grabs her and tells her, don’t ever say something like that again! They said she went into shock. They’re treating her, didn’t you understand? Nilu cries, she’s getting worse.

Omer starts shouting for a doctor or nurse. The door to the ICU opens and Omer blows past the nurse to enter. She tries to stop him. He runs straight into Elif’s room and sits by her bed. He takes her hand. My love don’t ever leave me. If you leave, I will be ruined. I won’t have a reason to wake up in the mornings. You are in every breath, in every dream. Don’t leave me breathless without you. Please, I am with you now. I was with you yesterday. I will be with you tomorrow. I’m never far from you. Please don’t leave me. You saved me from all my troubles. Please don’t go.

Elif’s hand moves. Elif? Elif wakes up. Elif’im? She whispers… Omer… Omer shouts for the nurse. Omer is overjoyed.

The squad continues to view camera footage. Tolga complains about it. Why not give it to the team downstairs? Arda says, we’re not sharing anything with anyone outside, okay? Tolga finds something. Fatih’s right hand man, Neco. Everyone gathers around. Ipek confirms it. The crew takes off.

#148 part 3

Asli and Nilu visit with Elif. The doctor comes in to check. Elif says she has some pain and puts her hand on her belly. The doc explains they had to remove her gallbladder. She’s shocked. Doc says not to worry about that. Elif asks if there was anything else. The doc looks at Omer. Omer tells Elif that everything will be alright. The doc leaves and the sisters follow him.

Omer tells Elif to rest and not to think about anything. Can I think about you, she asks, do I have your permission? Omer laughs, I’ll allow it. Don’t get me out of your head. I haven’t been able to get you out of mine for a year now.

Our guys enter the prosthetics company and ID themselves. The man is alarmed. He’s told they came to ask a few questions. Tolga shows him a photo of Neco. Do you recognize him? He came to buy something recently. The man shakes his head. Arda presses. You have to remember. He came to buy something related to his feet. Try to remember. The man doesn’t know. He sees lots of customers. Ipek says, a person has to come many times to adjust a prosthesis. Arda asks to check the records. The man goes to get them from his office. But instead of getting them, he makes a run for it. Unfortunately, the man is hit by a car right outside the building. Call an ambulance!

Omer returns to Elif’s room. There’s a guard outside and she’s been handcuffed to the bed. Elif says they did this because she woke up. Omer is pissed. He questions the cop outside. The cop says he’s just doing his job. Omer proclaims Elif’s innocence. And besides, she can’t even stand up now. How could she escape? Don’t make me angry! The cop uncuffs her. Elif thanks Omer. He says, I did what’s right. We’re both going to be free. They tried to handcuff our hearts, but they will regret it.

Fatih calls Neco. He’s livid. They found the prosthetics supplier. Are you stupid or what? Didn’t you hear what I told you? Neco says, we found out too late, we didn’t have time to intervene. The guy ran and then got hit by a car. It was a coincidence. I don’t care about coincidences, Fatih shouts, take precautions, Neco!

Omer tries to feed Elif some soup. She doesn’t want to eat it, it’s bad. Omer tells her to imagine it’s a nice Italian soup. Elif asks him to go get some pasta and sneak it in. Omer calls her naughty. He tries with the soup again. She takes a spoonful. It’s terrible. He promises to make her a 5-star pasta very soon. They will eat it together in their garden.

Arda comes to Elif’s room. He wants to talk with Omer. They leave. Arda fills him in on the prosthetics guy. Bad luck. Omer says, Huseyin Demir is alive. And again, he made us suffer. He made his mother, his wife, his children, and me, go through this! Arda says calm down. At least we know he’s alive and we can find him. Omer can’t be calm—I wish he had died! How can a person be so heartless? Without a conscience? We buried him with our own hands! I buried my brother who was like a father! The woman I love has been thinking she killed him! She almost went crazy. Why did he do this to us?

Arda says, don’t we say when a person has nothing left to lose… Omer interrupts—there was something! His mother, his children, and me. Deep down we never stopped loving him. I feel stupid for this. But I ruined his plan. When we have the DNA result, I’m going to find him no matter where he is. Arda says they have no proof. The doctor took the sample from the foot again. Omer says he told him to take it from the bone. Omer is furious—Did everyone sell their souls?! He rushes off.

#148 part 4

Melike tiptoes into the kids’ bedroom. She’s brought a glass of milk. Burhan is awake, he’s not sleepy and he says he’s not hungry either. She asks him if he wants to hear a story. Then she says, let’s forget the story. Let’s go out and see the pigeons. He asks, our pigeons? Yes, she answers, ours and others. Melike gets him up.

Levent comes to see Elif. [never saw an ICU where people just come and go at will and the patient is also a convicted criminal. Neyse…] He hopes she gets well soon and gets released from prison too. He tells her he accepted a job in Amsterdam. She’s happy for him. He was waiting until she woke up. He wanted to say goodbye. You’ve been a great friend, she tells him, thank you for always being by my side. Levent says, before I go, I have to tell you something very important. Be very careful with your aunt.

And of course, this is when Aunt Nedret arrives, with Filiz in tow. She says, Levent, I didn’t know you were coming. Nedret turns her attention to Elif, how are you dear? Levent excuses himself. Take care Elif. Nedret is very concerned for Elif. They’ve brought magazines and books. If you need anything else, tell me and I’ll bring it. Elif says she’s good. They leave. Looks like Elif is thinking about what Levent said.

Omer goes to see the forensic doctor. The doc says he’s off work now, but they can talk in the morning. Omer grabs him and pushes him against the wall. He demands, who are you working for? Fatih Dundar? Are you crazy, the doc asks, what are you talking about? Omer asks, what are you hiding? I’m not hiding anything, the doc replies, I’m just doing my job. Just like you. Let me go! Omer tells him to examine the sample from the bone, or he will kill him.

The doc says he didn’t take a sample from the bone. It wasn’t necessary. Omer slugs him and he falls.
What do you mean, it wasn’t necessary? We will go back to the DA and ask for the grave to be opened again! You’re hiding something from me! The doc threatens to file a complaint against Omer. Omer and Arda leave.

Melike and Burhan are walking through a wooded area. I don’t see any birds here, he says, let’s go look at the ones by the house. We’ll go, Melike replies, but the night is so beautiful, let’s stay here and then go home. He says okay.

The forensic doc checks in with Fatih. The doc is angry. He wanted to kill me! He was like a madman. He’s sure I was lying. Don’t worry, Fatih replies, he has no evidence. Where did he go after leaving you? The doc thinks Omer might have gone to the gravesite. He wants to dig up the body again. Fatih is pissed.

Burhan wants to go back home. There are no birds and he’s getting scared. Melike holds him close to her. She tells him to be patient. Mumtaz shows up. He’s pleased Melike kept her word. She asks, you won’t hurt him, will you? Mumtaz says no, and adds, from now on, we don’t know each other. Give me the child and you won’t owe me anything. Burhan asks, who is that man? Melike says, he’s a relative of ours, a relative of your mother. You must go with him. He will take you to your family. Melike cries.

#148 part 5

Asli comes to see Elif. Elif says she’s okay, but she feels a strange pain. Asli says that’s normal after surgery. Don’t worry and just rest. Elif senses there’s something else. Tell me if you’re hiding something from me. How could you think that, Asli replies, you had surgery. Feeling pain is normal. A friend had the same surgery, and it hurt for a while.

The nurse enters and Elif tells her about the strange pain she has. Asli makes a face at the nurse and says she’d like a word with her and the doctor. She ushers the nurse out of the room. Asli tells her that Elif doesn’t know about the baby, but she might be suspecting something. Please don’t tell her anything. The nurse says she understands but Elif needs to know. Asli insists. The nurse agrees.

Elif sits up and grabs her chart. She reads: as a result of the damage caused, the pregnancy has been interrupted. It’s a massive shock for her.

Omer is at the cemetery with a shovel. He talks to Arda on the phone. I’m going to open the grave and take the bones and prove to everyone that Huseyin Demir isn’t buried there. Omer says he has to do this alone and he’ll keep Arda informed. Omer starts to dig. A shadowy figure comes up behind him and knocks him out.

And we are out, too!

Thank you, Dondi! I love getting the music even without translations! I like the songs in Turkish!

Watching CM but also am enjoying kpa drawing close to the end!

The Burhan story makes me sad. I know he’ll be with his father, but Melike must feel awful.

I wonder about Mumtaz!

I hope Elif listens to Levent!

We are getting close!

KPA

Thanks, Dondi! Fantastic as always!

So Mumtaz is working for Fatih... makes sense but he's an idiot. I'm disappointed in Melike for taking Burhan out there. It should have been a NO, HELL NO! I don't really care that he'll be with his father because a) Melike doesn't know that and b) he'll never be safe with Huso!
I
The plan to keep Elif from finding out about the baby was not good. I am surprised Asli - a woman who suffered a forced abortion would ever consider keeping that information from another woman, though I get that she's doing it out of a misguided sense of protection for Elif. I am glad Elif found out so soon and this story won't be drawn out though.

Goodbye Levent! Won't miss you at all!

KPA 149 part 1 of 6

The episode begins where the previous one left off. Omer is in the graveyard at night talking to Arda on the phone saying: ‘I’m at the cemetery. I’m going to open the grave, take out the bones, and prove to everyone that Huseyin Demir is not buried down there.’ Someone comes up behind him and knocks him out, it’s Fatih of course. Fatih thinks he’s talking to an unconscious Omer when he says: ‘I don’t know what I’m going to do with you, Omer. I always try to protect you, brother-in-law, and you keep getting in the way of it,’ but Omer has anticipated Fatih’s attack and he’s still awake. He turns suddenly and demands to know where Huso is. Fatih tries to play dumb suggesting he’s not in heaven. He’s surely burning in hell. But Omer isn’t fooled and continues demanding to know. Omer and Fatih fight for control of the gun and Omer gets the upper hand for a moment, but just when he’s about to order Fatih to follow him, Neco comes up behind him and sticks a gun to his head ordering him to drop the gun. Fatih makes a sarcastic comment about Omer still making so many mistakes after all his years as a cop. Omer surprises the men by turning on the Neco and he might have gotten the upper hand again, but Fatih sticks him with the needle and Omer is out! (I wonder if it’s the same drug he used on Elif?)

Asli is getting reassurances from the nurse that it’s normal for Elif to be in pain and she’ll be okay, but the nurse will let the doctor know anyway. They are interrupted by Elif hobbling out of her room with a very revealing paper in her hand.

Asli: Elif, what are you doing up? You should be in bed. What are you doing here?

Elif: Is this true? Tell me if this is true.

Asli: Go back to bed.

Elif: Tell me the truth. I lost my baby, didn’t I? Tell me, why do we always lose everything beautiful we have?

Asli: I wish I could give you an answer.

Elif: What would have happened if he were still alive? If that life that was on the way had shone like the sun.

Asli: It would have been wonderful. But it means this is not the time.

Elif: I want to endure life as it is, but sometimes it’s unbearable. It’s too unbearable. It’s unbearable.

Asli: It will pass. Please don’t cry anymore. You and Omer will have many beautiful children. Don’t be sad.

Elif: Omer knows that I lost him. Call him, please. Tell him to come. I need him.

Melike is doing the unthinkable as she a Burhan say a tearful goodbye. She seems to feel sincerely broken up by it but I’m too mad that she’s actually doing it to care. Then just when I’ve lost all respect for Melike, she pushes Burhan behind her and says she’s changed her mind. She’ll get the money but Mumtaz can’t have Burhan! It’s too little too late though, because of course one thug alone in the woods can easily overpower Melike. Melike puts up a fight, but Mumtaz tells her if she doesn’t stop, he’ll go after Demit, and she reluctantly gives up screaming Burhan as Mumtaz takes him away.

Omer wakes up chained in some dark cave and I’m really disappointed because I was hoping someone would find him dazed and paralyzed like Elif was and then put two and two together, but no he wakes up to a waiting Faith only.

Fatih: You’re awake already. Good morning, brother-in-law.

Omer: What are you going to do?

Fatih: Finally get my brother-in-law out of my way for good.

Omer: Don’t be ridiculous. Untie me.

Fatih: No, Omer, I still need to settle a couple of things. Don’t complain. You forced me to do this. I can’t do anything else now. I’ll let you go after I finish what I still have pending. Then all of us will finally be able to rest from Tayyar’s problems. In the meantime, you’ll behave and wait, and this one here will keep you company.

Omer: What are you going to do, kill your father? Your father is going to face justice and answer for everything he did. Now untie me. Tell me where Huseyin Demir is. We’ll send him to prison if you testify, but don’t do this. You’re already in trouble. That’s enough. Don’t do this. Untie me. I can help you. Together we can fix this.

KPA 149 part 2 of 6

Fatih isn't listening, he walks out the door as Omer continues to yell after him: damn you, Fatih. Idiot, answer.

Aslı is still trying to call Omer who can’t answer of course. She makes light of it to Elif but Elif isn’t buying it, something is wrong. Asli says of course not, I’m sure Colombo forgot his phone somewhere. It may be on silent, or maybe he’s in the bathroom, or maybe he’s watching European league football.

Omer is doing none of these things, he’s hanging out in chains, warning the henchie that he’s a police officer. The phone isn’t going to stop ringing. His friends must have noticed his absence. They’re going to keep calling nonstop. They’ll come any minute now and take the guy to prison. It would be better for him to help Omer. Henchie has a solution for that and he ends the call and takes the sim card out of Omer’s phone. No one can find you here, he warns.

Asli is confused. First, she got a busy signal and now it’s turned off? Asli tries to distract Elif with the good news, she’s being moved out of intensive care! Elif doesn’t even blink and says to call Omer again.

Mumtaz brings Burhan to Fatih, and it makes NO sense that Burhan doesn’t seem afraid at all after being ripped from Melike’s arms! He seems intrigued to meet Fatih and is perfectly content to get in the car after Fatih tells him he will be taking him to see his family.

Faith turns to Mum: That’s it. Great job, Mumtaz. I don’t know how you convinced the woman.

Mum: She went crazy at the last moment.

Fatih: Tomorrow, for everyone, will be a new dawn. You’ve been a great companion on this journey, Mumtaz, and Neco too. Both of you were always by my side. I never forget anything, brother. You’ll receive what you deserve.

Mum: Thank you, sir.

Fatih: I’ll call you to find out where Tayyar is. Now what you must do is go back to his side so he won’t notice your absence.

Mum: That’s what I’ll do, sir.

Fatih: From now on I’ll never bother you again. Stay with Tayyar and watch everything he does tonight.

Mum: Don’t worry, sir. That’s exactly what I’ll do. I’ll stay beside Tayyar Dundar. He doesn’t have much time left. You will very soon be our new leader. Maybe tomorrow, as you deserve.

Fatih: I don’t know if I deserve to be a leader, but Tayyar Dundar deserves to go straight to hell. I’ve already bought his ticket. We’ll send him to hell nonstop.

The camera pans to Mumtaz’s phone and sure enough Tayyar is listening! And driving in his van, wasn’t he bedbound 45 mins ago? Tayyar is livid and says: ‘We’ll see who deserves what. Stupid. We’ll see. We’ll see who deserves what.’ Jig is up!

Tayyar arrives at some cabin somewhere and he tells whoever is henchie #1 today to make sure a man is following Fatih 24/7 and reporting every step he takes. Henchie agrees and Tayyar asks if his guest has arrived. The dude says yes and he enters the cabin and is told the guy is in the next room. The music swells and we see a man tied to a chair, it’s the doctor who faked the autopsy for Fatih…

Tayyar: Very good, very good. You showed great respect for our guest. The boys gave the doctor a fine welcome.

Doc: What do you want from me?

Tayyar: Do you know me?

Doc: Everybody knows you, Mr. Tayyar.

Tayyar: You really know me? Then you’re going to tell me what business you have with my son. What was Fatih doing at the forensic service? Why do you keep meeting? What do you want from him? Come on, talk.

Doc: I... well...

Tayyar: I understand, I understand. Low IQ, I get it. How did you manage to become a doctor? Then I’ll ask you more directly: is Hüseyin Demir alive or dead?

Huso is being treated by a nurse and he asks if his pain is normal. She tells him his prosthesis was fitted too soon and he put too much pressure on the wound. So yes, it’s normal for it to hurt. She gives him something for the pain but it will only help a little. Huso asks for something stronger. He needs his leg very much. She reluctantly agrees. In other parts, Omer is trying in vain to pull his restraints off the wall of the cave.

KPA 149 part 3 of 6

Elif is in her new room, which looks super nice for a hospital room. She is up and pacing looking worried. We see a shot of the guard in the hall just to remind us Elif is still a prisoner, and Asli is out in the hall, still trying in vain to call Omer? Asli notices Elif out of bed and hangs up the phone. She comes and tells Elif she’d better lie down or she’ll really get angry. Elif shouldn’t push herself. She still hasn’t recovered.

Fatih bonds with Burhan, and it would be sweet if he wasn’t a psycho!

Fatih: Champ, you look sad. What’s wrong? You’re going to reunite with your family.

Burhan: No. I’d rather go home, sir. Please take me to Mama Melike. I don’t want to see those other relatives anymore.

Fatih: It’s not right for a brave champion like you to break his word. What’s wrong?

Burhan: I am scared. (He doesn’t look it! This is a beautiful child but I’m thinking acting isn’t his calling or at least he isn’t there yet)

Fatih: Are you very afraid of me? Why would you be afraid? Look, I’m going to have a child very soon too, and once I was a child like you and I was afraid too. But if you behave like the champion, you are, we’ll all be happy. Imagine it, champ. Everything will be like a room full of candy or a pool of stars.

Tayyar’s guys are following Fatih’s car and Tayyar calls for an update. Dude tells him they’re right on it and Tayyar says they better be. He warns they would be better off dead than to lose Fatih!

Arda and Pelo are at the station and are discussing Omer’s disappearance. Arda says Elif is worried and Asli is in a panic. Asli’s trying to calm Elif, but she’s already ready to give up. Arda admits, at first, he didn’t pay attention when Asli called but now, he can’t locate Omer. He hasn’t heard from him since he went alone to the cemetery. Omer hasn’t gone to take the new evidence to the forensic doctor either. We should talk to the doctor Metin brought. He should still be in his office. Pelo says she found out something else. The location of Omer’s phone the second time Aslı called and the call dropped - the signal came from his phone, and then it was turned off, or someone turned it off.

Arda says ‘You’re incredible, my love.’

Arda’s phone rings and it’s Tolga.

Arda: Tell me, Tolga, what’s happening?

Tolga: I’m at the cemetery. Omer isn’t here. There’s a shovel and traces of blood in the dirt.

Arda: Blood? All right, listen. Find the caretaker. Ask if he saw anyone or anything.

Arda hangs up and turns to Pelo: I bet Metin kidnapped Omer.

Pelo: Why do you say that?

Arda jumps directly to the right conclusion: Because he doesn’t want Omer to prove Huso is alive.

Pelo: I don’t Fatih will hurt Omer.

Arda: I agree, he must have a plan and it has everything to do with Huso! We have to find Omer. Find his location. Call the phone company, have them trace him, make them do something for once.

Omer is still trying to free the chains when his babysitter comes back in with a newspaper.

Babysitter: This won’t end like in the movies, Captain. Don’t worry, you won’t get out of here.

Omer: What’s your name? Doesn’t matter, right? I’m sure Fatih doesn’t know it either. They use people like you for their dirty work, and then if you make a mistake, they get rid of you. Isn’t that right? If you don’t want that to happen, use your brain. Let me help you. Hey, I’m talking to you. All right, fine, if that’s what you want, I’m going to send you to prison after I get free of these ridiculous chains. So, get ready, because Fatih will have you killed in prison so you won’t talk. Did you know that? That’s what he wants. Use your head.

Babysitter: I see you talk too much, Captain. Better be quiet.

KPA 149 part 4 of 6

Tayyar is beside himself and has called his henchies again: Listen, keep some distance between their car and yours. Don’t let them realize you’re following them.

Henchie: As you wish, Mr. Tayar.

Tayyar: Where are they going?

Henchie: We don’t know, sir.

Tayyar: Then use your damned brain and find out. Figure out where they’re going and who’s there. Do something. Under no circumstances are you to lose sight of them. If you can’t do anything... He hangs up.

Tayyar speaking to his doctor who is in the room: My stupid son set a trap for me and still didn’t finish off Huseyin.

Doctor: I don’t understand why he took that risk.

Tayyar: What is it that you don’t understand, doctor? My son has opened his eyes, and I’m sure he’ll make Huseyin kill me. But this won’t end like that. I gave him my name, and besides, he’ll be my heir - unless he has some other damned plan. But the idiot doesn’t know who he’s dealing with. We have to find Huseyin and finish him off tonight, and then I’ll finish off my beloved son Fatih.

The phone rings again and Tayyar answers: What’s going on now?

Henchie: There’s been a change, sir. Mr. Fatih’s car entered the tunnel and now we’re...

Tayyar: Come on, hurry up, idiots. What are you waiting for?

Back to Elif and Asli worrying about Omer.

Elif: Aslı, this is too strange. I’m sure something happened to him. He wouldn’t disappear like this. Something happened to him.

Asli: All right, darling, what can we do?

Elif: Let’s call Arda. Omer could be in trouble, and they might know something.

Asli: I already called them a long time ago, Elif. They don’t know where he is. I didn’t tell you so you wouldn’t worry.

Elif: What am I going to do? I couldn’t go on living if something happened to him.

Asli: To Colombo? Nothing will ever happen to him. He’s the main character in this story. (haha) Besides, my brother-in-law is smarter than those idiots Tayyar Dundar and Fatih Dundar.

Elif: May my love protect him.

Asli: Come on, Elif, please get some rest. I beg you, please.

Elif lies down still worried. She closes her eyes and remembers Omer reading a poem to her: ‘My love, in the midst of these traces and this resounding massacre, I lost my freedom. I lost myself and I lost you, but I will never stop believing in the day when I will emerge from darkness, from screams, from hunger, from terror. The future will knock on our door with the sun in its hands.’

Asli looks at the calm on Elif’s face and asks: Are you meditating or something?

Elif: Something like that, Asli.

Tayyar is still whining at his guys and I am frankly tired of it. Don’t lose them, you’re stupid, yada yada yada. But perhaps, he had a point because they were following far enough behind that by the time they come across Fatih’s stopped car it is empty!!! Yep, dumb and dumber lost Fatih and Tayyar has a fit!!!

Meanwhile in a different van Fatih tells Neco that Tayyar must have forced the forensic doctor to talk. Obviously, that’s why that car is following us. Neco wants to know what they are going to do, abort the plan? Fatih says no now we’re going to speed it up. The die is cast. Before Tayyar Dundar finishes us off, we’ll finish him off. This time he’ll be the one who sees the dawn. He’s saying all of this in front of a still not appropriately scared Burhan.

Nilu is in a hotel room watching a movie (why?? She would not be in a hotel chilling while Asli is at the hospital all day, this is odd). There’s a knock and she asks if it’s room service. A man answers yes, but it’s a lie. Dude bursts in as soon as she opens the door and chloroforms her.

KPA 149 part 5 of 6

Huso is putting on his leg. The nurse thinks he should rest but he says there’s no time for that. He’ll endure the pain; he has no choice.

Fatih arrives and announces they have company!

Fatih: Look who came to see you, champ. This is better than a pool of stars.

Huso: Son.

Burhan: Dad.

Huso hugs Burhan close: Son, my dear son, you came to see your father, my lion. Thank God.

Burhan: They told me you became an angel. Have I become an angel too so I could be with you? Dad.

Huso: I’m not an angel, and neither are you. It’s a misunderstanding. I’m alive, son. Let me hug you. Come here. I’m not dead, thanks to you, son. Tell me, what else do I have in life besides you? We’re leaving here, son. The two of us will leave. We’ll start a new life. You’ll go to very good schools. We’ll have a beautiful house, you know, a huge one. We’ll even have a dog. What do you say? We’ll live just the two of us.

Burhan: Just the two of us? No, Dad. Mama Melike, Hassan, Grandma, and Demit will come with us too. And I want Uncle Omer too. I don’t want a dog either, and I don’t want a huge house. I only want them. That man over there took me away from Mama Melike by force, and Mama Melike cried a lot. She was very sad.

Notice Fatih is looking really uncomfortable during this conversation.

Huso: Mama Melike lost her chance when she let you go, all right? They’re not here. Forget them, just like I forgot them. You have to do the same. Please, son. Now you only have your father.

Fatih: Poor child, we share the same fate with our parents. We couldn’t choose. I see myself when I was your age.

Huso: Don’t talk so much, Fatih. Your father didn’t have much luck either, having a son like you.

Fatih: Why are you so determined to hurt me? Better keep your promise. I’ve already kept mine.

Huso: Where is that bastard?

Fatih: Go with Neco. He’ll take you. You’ll receive the address by message.

Huso turns to Burhan: Come on, my lion. Up you go. And what will happen to Buran?

Fatih: He’ll stay here with the nurse. Do what you have to do, and then take your champion and go to Bulgaria.

Huso turns to Burhan: Son, your father has something to do. He’ll come back, all right?

Burhan: But why are you carrying your gun?

Huso: I’m a police officer, remember? It’s a police officer’s gun.

Burhan: Dad, I’m very scared. (He still doesn’t look scared)

Huso: My dear son, don’t be afraid. I’ll come back immediately. There’s nothing to be afraid of.

Burhan: Remember this? You bought it, Dad. I kept it in my pocket. Keep it with you and bring it back to me, all right? You have to come back.

Huso: I promise, son. I’ll come back, I’ll return, and I’ll bring you back this toy. Meanwhile, sleep. You’ll dream about our new house.

Burhan: I’m not going to sleep. I’m going to wait for you.

Huso: You’re a man already. All right, you decide.

Huso gets ready to leave a whole two minutes after Burhan lands in this new mobile hospital without so much as introducing Burhan to the nurse who’s going to care for him, but he does manage to ask her to take good care of him. SMH

Omer keeps trying to reason with Fatih’s guard and this man looks BORED, lol It’s actually funny.

Omer: Do you have children, sons? daughters? Does your family know about your work? Do they think you’re a security guard or something? I’ve seen many men like you. You don’t just ruin your own life; you ruin your children’s lives too. Entire families have disappeared after being connected to dirty business. You must have seen it in the news. And the killers never show up. What’s wrong? Cat got your tongue? You’ve handed yourself over to those crazy psychopaths. Use your head. Let me help you and help your family. Let’s do something before he finds and kills him. Use your head. Untie me once and for all.

Dude finally speaks as he is walking away: Captain, you talk too much. You never stop talking. I’d better go drink some water. Listening to you makes me thirsty.

KPA 149 part 6 of 6

After the babysitter leaves, Omer continues pulling at the chains on the wall and it looks like he’s actually making progress! It appears to be hurting him though – is it a headache from the force used? Muscle cramps? Meanwhile Elif stands in her hospital staring out the window and praying, ‘God, I will do whatever You want for me to survive this and remain strong. Life is wise, and I don’t want to go against what it wants to tell me. We have to accept what it gives us and understand why, what it is we can learn. I’m ready to be tested. I’m ready for anything, I am. But I beg You, don’t take Omer away from me. If destiny is written before birth, then I’m sure my destiny is him. Don’t separate us, I beg You. Let us look into each other’s eyes without worrying about the future. I don’t know where Omer is right now. Please help him. God, protect him.’ As Elif’s prayer is heard in the background we are back to Omer, and we see as he finally pulls an arm free from the wall! Will he be able to escape?

Fatih, Huso and Neco are waiting at an abandoned road somewhere and Fatih is trying to call Mumtaz. Fatih asks Neco why Mumtaz isn’t answering his phone when they need him most, and Neco actually offers to call him?? LOL Fatih thought the offer was stupid too and said ‘what do you think I’m doing, playing?’

Mumtaz isn’t going to be answering anyone’s calls though because he’s dead, dead, dead! Yep, Tayyar killed another henchie (that should have been a drinking game) and he and his men are out somewhere burying Mumtaz as his phone rings off the hook. Tayyar gives a PSA to the nearest thug: ‘We have to learn from our mistakes, but that’s something he didn’t do. I thought Mumtaz was an intelligent man. He saw many things, but apparently, he wasn’t. Betrayal was undoubtedly running through his veins. In truth, it runs through everyone’s veins. It has been that way since Cain and
Abel: one brother betrays another, and a son betrays his father too. Mumtaz left at a tender age and chose the wrong path.’

They can’t determine who’s calling Mumtaz because it’s an unknown number and Tayyar says to go to the hospital immediately and have the men look for and trace the call. The guy leaves and Tayyar asks the next if Mumtaz said where Hüseyin was, but he didn’t. He didn’t tell them anything - neither where Fatih was nor where Hüseyin was. Tayyar concludes there’s nothing more to do. They’ll have to take the other route and strike at Faith through his wife. They pack up to go and as the camera pans away we see someone else is getting a phone call from an unknown number, but his phone is on silent! Looks like Tayyar might have another man in cahoots with Faith!
