Notes from the Couch

1. Nico explains what happened to him to Lorena. He says he loved her with such force and intensity but he didn't know how to love. He went crazy with jealousy, anger, insecurity. Lorena isn't taking the blame for any of that. He was the one with the problem.He left her and God and religion saved him. She needed the father of her daughter. He knows he sounds very selfish but he really needed that distance. Leaving was the hardest thing he ever did in his life because he had to give her up. She looked for him but it was as if he erased any possible trail so she would never find him. He agrees because he knew that she was the only thing that could pull him away from his vocation. Lorena explains that Claudia always needed her father. Nico is profoundly sorry that she could not have told him that she was going to be a mother but the fact of the matter is that he did not return because he could not. If he had stayed, he would have ended up hurting both her, Claudia and him a great deal. He needed all of the suffering he went through in order to return being at peace. She asks if he stopped loving her in all of those years. He refuses to answer the question. He thanks her for the supper and and leaves her in tears.

2. Joaquín meets with Nuria in the office. He tells her that they tried to located her when her brother died. She She knows but , as she sad, the was at a Buddhist temple totally isolated. She regrets she was trying to find her inner self when her nieces and nephew were dealing with the death of their parents. Joaquín says they were not alone. She thanks him for everything he did for them and sees that they were well cared for. He says it was not an easy road not having children but he did it. She laughs and says that he and she were always free spirits. Joaquín agrees. She asks if he has been coming once in a while to be with the kids ?? He surprises her by saying that he is living in the house with them. Being a guardian is being with them full time. For the kids' sake he has to ask her: Is she here to visit or is she going to stay with the kids? She says they are both worn out and should let that go until tomorrow. He agrees and will tell Carmen to get the guest room ready for her.She looks at Luis' photo sadly.

3. Diego is in his room talking to Majo. She is having a hard time because Crazy Claudia is also her friend. He sends her off to sleep with a kiss not knowing that Vale is now stalking him on behalf of Crazy Claudia. Vale give him a hard time about having fallen in love so quickly, etc., etc., defending Crazy Claudia all the way. (He needs to learn how to lock the door to his room)

4. Vale tries to console Consuelo as Nayeli is taking a pregnancy test. Maybe it is a false alarm? (Nope, we had one of those already in this novela) Nayeli emerges and yes she is pregnant. Nayeli admits she wasn't ready or if she would ever be. Consuelo takes her in her arms as they both cry. Consuelo knows what it is like to be a single mother. Vero asks her if she is going to have the baby. Nayeli says yes and Consuelo and Vale promise her all their support.

5. Joaquín has breakfast with Vale the next morning. She is still making sarcastic comments about Claudia to Diego when he arrives at the table then criticizes Nuria when he tries to defend her. (Thankfully) Meli runs in to alert them all that Dani sis going crazy.

6. Dani is still in her quince dress on her bed hysterically ripping down her UFO abduction map as Nuria tries to convince her to stop. Joaquín and the kids arrive. He asks her what is going on. In tears she tells him that they didn't come. She waited for them all night long. They aren't coming. They will never be back again. NEVER!Joaquín sits down on her bed and says he is sorry that they are not coming back. He hugs her as she sobs. Dani cries for her mom and dad. The other kids join in on the hug. Nuria stands a part.

7. Vero goes to check on Nayeli at her job. Vero feels responsible for what happened with Hugo. She feels like it all happened because she involved her in her lie. Nayeli says she is not sorry for anything she did and would do it all over again because Vero is fighting for her daughter. Her loyalty will always be with her family. Vero thanks her. She says that Hugo was looking for an excuse to break up with her. He never really cared for her. She was only a distraction. Vale was always the one for him. Vero asks her daughter? Nayeli says yes. Nayeli says Hugo doesn't know about the baby and she doesn't want him to know now or ever. She asks Vero to keep her secret as she kept Vero's. Vero agrees but reminds her she won't be about to keep her pregnancy a secret for long.

8. Vero enters the kitchen in her regular clothes saying to Joaquín that midnight came and she returned in the pumpkin! He says she always looks beautiful. She wants to know how things are going with Nuria as Nuria comes in with some incense in her hand. She goes into the refrigerator for some refreshing iced ginger tea. Joaquín introduces Vero to Nuria. Nuria says she saw her at the party and she looked different. They all laugh. Nuria thinks that Vero is Joaquín's novia. Vero stutters as she explains that she is Joaquín's employee. Joaquín cannot help but smile. Nuria says she looked fabulous last night and that she has a very luminous aura. Nuria sings as she and Joaquín go to talk in the office,. They all smile.

9. Diego goes to see the usual free wheeling Iván. He has something to tell him directly so he doesn't' find out via gossip. He tells Iván that he and Majo are together. A suddenly serious Iván says he knew it but didn't pay attention. Diego adds they are very much in love. Iván glares at him and asks "in love???"

10. In the store room at the snack bar, Majo goes to see Claudia to talk to her. Crazy Claudia greets her with a slap across the face and tells her to get out.

11. Nuria tells Joaquín he is a light being!!! He asks if she came to stay with the children. Nuria says they are her brother's children. They are her blood. She asks Joaquín what to do. He advises her to do what she feels. She says she is used to a quiet life. He says the kids are rather noisy. She adds that there are four intense souls. She admits she never planned on being a mother and suddenly the universe has placed her in this calling. Her orphaned nieces and nephew, that is a lot for her. He asks if she wants to take charge of them. She explains that she knows is talking all over the place and not making herself clear. Her response is of course, she is staying! She is the only relative the kids have so she has to be their guardian. Joaquín slowly nods.

12. Crazy Claudia tells a now crying Majo to talk. She asks if she came to apologize and wants her to forgive her??? Majo says she came to quit so Crazy Claudia doesn't haave to see her face. Crazy Claudia thinks that is perfect!!. It would be even better if she went back to Spain. Majo says she wanted to tell her maybe in another way. Crazy Claudia says there wasn't any better way. Majo is garbage and disgusts her.

13. Joaquín tells Nuria that if she is taking charge of the kids, he thinks that she will need help. She makes it clear that she is open to all of the advice he wants to give her. He suggests they plan a transition period. That would give her and the kids time to adapt. She finds his proposal interesting but she thinks that she and the kids need to live as a family to be able to join together and finish healing. So, she thinks it is most appropriate for him to leave and free the house from his energy. She asks him if he would he do her that great favor.

14. Vale is pouring herself some DEL VALLE orange juice (another product placement!) Eleazar appears out of nowhere (hasn't he ever heard of a door bell?? is he practicing to be a thief?) and yes he will tale some of that DEL VALLE juice. Vale says such weird things happening lately. Nuria and then Diego. Crazy Claudia told him all about it and she is doing really bad. Vale calls her brother an idiot. He didn't come to talk about that. He says something magic happened last night between them. He asks if the kiss they had means they are back together. Vale's smile is short lived when Carmen comes in, followed by Vero, demanding to know why they were all wet last night.

15. A now serious Iván informs Diego that if he is serious about his daughter, he and Diego will have to rethink their relationship. Diego asks if he wants him to fall him "father-in-law"? Iván menaces him with a . . . stapler and says he must be kidding. Iván doesn't know why but this moment is very hard for him. He doesn't know if he should give him a heartfelt congratulations because he is with the best woman in the world or grab him by his skinny neck and . . . (he looks like he is breaking that neck ) as if he were a chicken . . . Diego chooses the first option. Iván asks if he will take care of her. Diego says he will just like he does with his sisters. Will he love and respect her? Diego answers with all of his being. Iván decides that was enough for today and tells him to go. Diego ask if everything is good between the two of them. Iván says that remains to be seen.

16. To satisfy Carmen's curiosity, Vale makes up a tale about a loose shower head. She asked Eleazar to take a look at it. He knows how to fix anything after working at the shop. The water got out of control and they got all wet. Vero joins in on the lie asking if that is why they asked her for the tool box with the wrench. Vale says exactly. Eleazar fixed it in no time! Carmen believes the lie and all is well.

17. Diego goes to see Crazy Claudia to try to explain things. She is not interested and will never forgive him for what he did to her.He makes it clear tat he is not there to apologize (YES!) because he didn't do anything. he was always honest with her. When he was no longer in love with her, he told her. She is upset that he didn't lose any time going out with and being happy with Majo while she was destroyed suffering over him. He explains that he fell in love with Majo. He didn't plan it. It just happened . . . They kept it a secret because he never wanted to hurt her. She tells him to get out. He hopes she understands it one day. He cares about her and she will always be important to him. She is left crying.

18. Kassandra is just arriving home from her Thailand trip when Joaquín
calls her to tell her about Nuria having arrived. She thinks that is great news. He supposes so. . . He informs her that Nuria is gong to ask for legal custody of the children Kassandra is all smiles. He adds that Nuria came to stay. She notices that he seems upset. Kassandra thinks it is the best thing for the kids to be with somebody from their family, with their blood. Joaquín says he is confused. Nuria practically threw him out of the house. Vero comes in with coffee.. An excited Kassandra explains that things are working their way out. The children are starting a new chapter and she and he are starting a life together. She tells him to come live at her place. Where else? Joaquín turns around and sees Vero. Vero closes the door to the office. He tells Kassandra that they talk later.

19. Vero tells Joaquín that he cannot leave. He says he has no other choice. Vero thinks that Nuria is not up to dealing with four kids. Joaquín adits that he wasn't either when eh arrived. All four kids are listening at the door. He has no choice but to give Nuria her place. Vero insists that he cannot go. She hears something outside the door and opens it. The kids all fall into the office. Vale asks if Joaquín is really going to leave. Diego gets nasty (I thought that was over) and says now that Nuria is here Joaquín is seeing that has a chance to go. Is he happy? Is this what he wanted all along? Joaquín says that Diego has no idea how this is affecting him. Diego says, if that is the case then stay! Joaquín reminds them that they all knew that he was only their provisional guardian until their aunt Nuria showed up. Vale thinks that Nuria doesn't care and that she should go back to Asia, meditate with Buddha and never return. Why did she come to separate them? Dani tells him that they love him. He says he loves them all a lot. He thinks that they should give Nuria a chance.

20. Kassandra is jumping for joy in her apartment. She gives Isaura the good news that the kids' aunt showed up and the bad news that she wants her to move out ASAP because Joaquín will be coming to live with her. Isaura asks where is she to go. She is her mother. Kassandra doesn't care. She only wants Joaquín moved in quickly so he doesn't have second thoughts.

21. Nuria tells Joaquín that she is asking him to leave because she doesn't think the two of them could live in the house together because the kids would always turn to him first and she would be pushed aside. He says no worries, He is going to move, They both want the best for the kids and that won't change. She promises it NEVER will. She thanks him. She loves they are on the same frequency.

22. Joaquín introduces Kassandra to Nuria. Kassandra makes sure that Nuria knows that she is his novia.

23. Iván comes home and is surprised to see Majo there. She explains she quit he job because she couldn't keep working with Claudia there. He asks what happened??? She tells him he is a terrible liar because Diego told her that the two of them talked and he told him that they were together. Iván admits that he is having a hard time with all of this. On one hand, he felt like he wanted to hug them both but then on the other hand, he felt like wringing Diego's neck and sending her off to a convent. She cannot believe that with all the hard stuff she is going through in her in her life, that they are sitting there talking about HIM! He admits she is right. He says sometimes it is as if she were the adult and he the teenager. She admits to feeling that way but not only sometimes. He finally asks how she is feeling. Is she happy? Yes , she is and is in love with Diego It is like magic and she would like him to be happy for her. . He smiles and hugs her.

24. Joaquín talks to Vero about how important she is in the house but if she wants to go, he understands. She assures him that she is not going anywhere for anything. He wants her to know if she ever needs a job, he can find her one at the company. She repeats that she is not planning on moving on. He tells her it gives him peace knowing she is near the kids. She says they are all going to miss him. He explains is Nuria's decision but that he will be visiting. In the meantime, he asks her to be his eyes and if something seems off or wrong to call him. She agrees. He says sometimes things happen in life when you least expect them. She agrees.

25. Vero goes home and expresses her anger to Consuelo about Joaquín going to live with Kassandra and Nuria. Consuelo tells her what she is really angry about is not seeing Joaquín every day. Vero agrees and it is destroying her. Consuelo says love is like that. When it hurts it really hurts.

26 Lorena is closing down the snack bar for the day and Facundo appears to pick up his take out but it seems he is really there to harass her about Nico. He is totally disgusting and ends up forcing himself on her and kissing her. (She can't fight him off, a knee to his nether regions??? maybe she was too tired) Crazy Claudia sees them!!!

27. Vero admits to Consuelo that she is in love with Joaquín and love him like she never thought she could love a man. The problem is that he cannot be hers. Consuelo asks why not? Vero says because of the lies that she is telling. What is he going to say when he finds out the truth. She doesn't think he will understand. He si gong to hurt her. She is an impostor. Consuelo disagrees. She is a beautiful woman as good as gold and desperate to get her daughter back. Vero thinks she has to forget about anything but Vale and concentrate only on her. With Nuria there, she can forget about Joaquín for good.

Loved "the usual free wheeling Iván". HA!

Consuelo was so sweet and utterly supportive of Nayeli. She will also have Vero behind her; Hugo should be a non-factor in the equation of Nayeli's future.

So, I could watch Veronica/Nuria all night. She speaks and I am fascinated, trying (usually unsuccessfully) to decipher every word. Such charisma! In terms of the storyline, I do believe she wants to do the right thing. Her heart is in the right place (she really wanted to join the group hug but held back) but I just don't see her being able to effectively raise four children. She might soon rue she wanted Joaquin to leave so quickly!

Kassandra cackling with glee at the prospect of prying Joaquin away from the children was nauseating. She didn't think twice about where Isaura was going to go did she? Isaura seems to be already plotting her revenge as evidenced by her fawning over and pawing the sapphire necklace Mario gave Kassandra. Is she heading to the nearest pawn shop?

"He says sometimes it is as if she were the adult and he the teenager". SOMETIMES Ivan??? :)

I fear Lorena channeled her sense of loss and frustration over Nico into that very ill-advised kiss with Facundo. She did love him once (I think) and it was cruel of him to play with her and her feelings, but we'd expect nothing less.

So glad I was able to watch this and even happier to read your excellent recap Jarifa. Thank you.

Thanks Jarifa, another great recap. I commented Sunday evening about Friday’s episode but my comment is gone! My main thought was that it was Dani’s 15th birthday and was really important and her siblings had to get involved with their novios instead of staying at the party. I also thought it was wrong of Consuelo to keep Bruno from the party since he was her escort and expected him to be there. In spite of his stealing from the offering plate, they could have found a different punishment.

Tonight’s episode was sad. The only two enjoying themselves were Kassandra and Facundo. Loved how Kassandra is ready to put her mother out. Facundo acted as we would expect him to. But I didn’t think Lorena was resisting. I hope I’m wrong. I was hoping Nico would come in and deck him.

I was surprised Nuria wanted to stay with the kids. She stressed being the blood relative, where does that leave Vale? And if Vale goes will Vero stay?
She talked about the energy in the house as why she wanted Joaquin to leave. I don’t see her being as loving to the kids as he was. She’ll definitely be a different kind of parent!

Is Andro really gone? She looked like a goner, but that whole scene had a kind of Fatal Attraction vibe.

So Grecia menaced poor Dr. Cuellar into delivering her baby at home, and she hasn’t even given him a name. There are some bad moms on this show, but that takes the cake.

Aramis should have stayed stroked-out longer. That was fun.

Diana, this was another good episode. No telenovela doldrums here. This just keeps rolling along, doesn't it? Liz, "Facundo acted as we would expect him to. But I didn’t think Lorena was resisting. I hope I’m wrong. I was hoping Nico would come in and deck him."
I also had a hard time telling if Lorena was resisting but couldn't avoid the kissing because Facundo had just forced his lips on hers and with the way he was holding her head, I was unsure. Maybe she was afraid being all alone with him if she resisted? It will be interesting seeing what the the fallout is from that.

I was pretty nervous when Gonzo was holding that baby and lifting little no name up high . yikes . It looked like he had never held a baby before .
Barb she's another makeover . This time on Rex..
Looks like Realsofia is pregnant .
Why is Gonzo out of jail , but Bolero is still in jail ...in the woodshop? Did Gonzo get released for good behavior?

Jarifa,thank.you so much. I am grateful.for your excellent and detailed recaps as the drama unfolds . I was hoping that Nuria would be a positive force , but sadly , she is going to cause more strife and turmoil for the kids and Joachin, who had been trying to do whatever is best for Luis's family.
The some reason , I think Hugo is going to mature and improve and will have a HEA with Nayeli and baby .

I don’t think Grecia was fantasizing about whacking Not, because later on Real and Cata were wonderIng what to do with her ashes. Bolero was definitely fantasizing in the woodshop when he pictured Mia forgiving him and welcoming him back home.

Gonzo told Grecia that he was released after it was proven that the papers linking him to Aramis’s business were fraudulent. But Bolero confessed and turned himself in, so who knows how long he’ll be crying into the sawdust.

Our fun couple on the penthouse roof were having a typical (for them) romantic convo:

Ines: I’m all you’ve got, so you better pony up the cash.

Aramis: Just so long as you realize you’re completely expendable.

Ines: I kind of figured that out when you told Andromeda to shoot me.

Aramis: I am a scary guy!

Ines: Meh, not so much. And you’ll be even less scary when other parts of you stop working.

Aramis: Get out of here!

Ines: I was going shopping anyway.

Gracias, Jarifa. You hit another one out of the park. I too loved "the usual free wheeling Iván..." Interesting that when Diego making his confession to Ivan, the usual free wheeler is actually working, at the computer.

I thought I saw Lorena kissing Facundo back. Que horrible! But I hope Lorena regains her sense and shoves him away. I give her a break because it's been a long time and Padre Nico has got her discombobulated.

I feel for Crazy Claudia. Diego was ready to break up with her before Majo showed up, but he didn't. Majo did the right thing to quit. Her workdays with Claudia would be high drama every day.

Ay, Nayeli. I'm ticked with Hugo too, but your kid has a right to know their father, who's annoying as hell right now but not a bad guy.

Wow that was a time jump. It almost felt like a finale. Grecia seems to have PPD. I can't believe that Andromeda's death wasn't pursued, that lump on the head, blood residue likely dragged through the apartment, etc. Grecia fingerprints have to be throughout the place is she laying low and never leaving her place? Gonzo found her so doesn't everyone else know where she is. I kept getting a lesbian vibe between andro and Grecia. Did I misinterpret their conversations?

Barbie loves to do makeovers. I don't trust her fashion sense after the giant bloomed, and Rex all in black wasn't that great a look.

Is Rex still giving mom and dad the cold shoulder? Seems they were sad she doesn't want much to do with them.

I knew it would only be a matter of time before the makeup department got at Rex. They just can’t help themselves.

They’ve been giving us a bi-vibe from Andro since before she left Argentina. (Remember that tango scene with the couple?) I didn’t perceive anything on Grecia’s part, but she seems to hate everybody anyway.

Cata and Julian seem to be taking the call of the blood a little too seriously. I mean, jeez, give the kid a chance. It’s been a rough couple of months with the car accident, the arson, the boyfriend-swapping, the surprise Mafia abuelo and the murdered Mom.

"Between Doubts and Secrets"

Notes from the Couch

1. We start at the house with Kassandra talking to a depressed looking Joaquín
She knows that he has grown fond of the children but they always knew that their aunt could appear. Kassandra thinks that he should feel proud of what they... HE did for them. Joaquín says until he took care of the kids he had no idea that he needed that feeling in his life. He knows the kids have caused problems but they also have provided such joy and a tenderness that he had not felt before. Now he is afraid of losing that and losing them. Kassandra insists that feeling will always remain with him. It makes him a more loving and complete person. He says he didn't think about it quite like that. He thanks her for going through all of this with him. She tells him that she is capable of doing anything for him because she loves him. He manages to eke out a weak smile as they hold hands and thanks her.

2. At the snack bar, Facundo and Lorena are still kissing when Crazy Claudia appears. Lorena pulls away as Crazy Claudia tells her mother she knows where her head is!!!! Lorena is desperate to explain. Facundo grabs Lorena and tells Crazy Claudia it is easy to explain. The passion between him and her mother never ended. Crazy Claudia thinks they are both disgusting! Her mother is the worst. Crazy Claudia leaves as Lorena begs her to stay. Facundo tells Lorena "his love" that Crazy Claudia will get over it. Lorena insists she is not "his love". She calls him an animal and blames him for what happened. She thinks he did this because of being jealous of Nico . He cannot believe she said that. He thinks it is better that she admit that she liked, no she loved that kiss. She tells him to get out and to disappear. He picks up his take-out order. He leaves with "the taste of her lips" and a big smile on his face. Lorena is left in tears.

3. Kassandra tries to get Joaquín animated saying they are going to leave the house. That will allow Nuria and the kids to become a family and he and she can finally focus on their own relationship. Also, the distance can help him clarify this confusion he has about Vero. She insists that she is not complaining about anything. She already forgave him for kissing Vero although she admits it hurts. She reminds him that Vero rejected him so it is time to move on because he is hurting both her and Vero. She told him that their relationship has to advance and couldn't go on like this. She wants to be his wife. Life is wise and that is why things happen like they do. (Sounds like Nuria) This could be the time that they start their own family. She knows that he said he wanted to be a father and now she knows he will be the best father in the world and she would be the luckiest woman to have a child with him. She loves him. They kiss.

4. Nayeli is walking down the street when a guilty and sad looking Hugo sees her and asks how she is. She doesn't smile and gives him a snippy "FINE:". She adds evidently she is doing better than he is because the other day she ran into MIss Fancy Schmancy who told her that she had sent Hugo on is way. What a shame! If only he had stayed with the one who really loved him, he wouldn't be all alone now like a pot without a lid. As for her, something very lovely and precious is going to come into her life. He asks if it is some new guy who is hanging around her. She answers "could be" and leaves giving him a the side eye on her way. .Hugo looks depressed.

5. At Kassandra's apartment, she tells her mother that she convinced Joaquín to move in with her. Isaura notices several pieces of luggage and thinks they must belong to Joaquín. Kassandra says no, they are hers.

6. Outside of the house, everyone is saying an emotional goodby to Joaquín as he moves out. Nuria tells the kids he is only moving back to his house and that is as it should be. He makes it clear that he will always be there for all of them. They can visit him at the office. Diego can bring them as well as Vale. Nuria offers to bring them, also. Joaquín tells the kids that he had the most beautiful times of his life living there with them and that they are being left in excellent hands Nuria thanks him. She adds that they are closing one cycle to to be able to start something new. Nobody seems impressed. After a few more tears and hugs, Joaquín leaves. Vero goes inside and breaks into tears.

7. At the snack bar, Majo stops by to see Lorena knowing that Crazy Claudia is in class. She wants to talk. .

8. Isaura tells Kassandra that she cannot throw her out after everything she has done for her. Kassandra says it has to do with her own happiness. She has to take advantage of this opportunity and cannot have Joaquín feeling uncomfortable with her roaming around. Isaura thinks maybe a truck will run her over or a dog will bite her while she is sleeping under a bridge. Isaura informs her that she has made a reservation for her at a "modest" hotel meaning that it will be comfortable for her mother. Isaura is going to have Kassandra drop her off on the way to work. Isaura says she can start bringing her luggage down while she uses the bathroom. Isaura instead looks for and finds the sapphire necklace and earrings in Kassandra's bedroom and stuffs them in her purse.

9. Majo explains to Lorena that Diego never cheated on Claudia with her. She says when she found out what was going on, she tried to stop it all with Diego but then she fell in love and there was no going back. Lorena knows that sometimes you cannot put the brakes on love. Majo goes on to explain that they kept their relationship hidden so Claudia wouldn't be hurt even more. Lorena says she will miss Majo a lot at the bar but Claudia is her daughter. Majo gets that . She only hopes that eventually Claudia realizes that nobody did anything against her on purpose. Majo thanks Lorena for the chance she gave her and tells her how much it meant to her. Lorena hugs her when Crazy Claudia comes in . . .

10. Crazy Claudia is raving again as Majo tries to explain. She tells Majo to shut up. Crazy Claudia doesn't understand how her mother could be consoling the girl that stole her boyfriend away from her. She is always against her. Lorena tells her that is not true. Crazy Claudia isn't interested in anything Majo wants to explain. Crazy Claudia says since her mother prefers to be with her "favorite employee, " she is going to go very far away. Lorena calls after her but she is gone. Majo says she never should have come. Lorena says it isn't her fault and is at her wit's end with Claudia. She doesn't know how to help her or what to do.

11. Alexa is at school looking sad. She and Meli make eye contact as Meli scurries off to play.

12. Olga pays Diego a visit at work and welcomes him to the family! She knew there was something between him and Majo the first time she saw them together. She could tell that he had love in his eyes when he looked at her daughter. Diego is happy. She will defend him. Yes, he can call her mother-in-law. She likes that! She leaves.

13. Vale meets Eleazar at the track. They are both ready to race. He asks her if they are back together or if she is going to still make him suffer???? She smiles and says if he wants an answer, he will have to win it in a race.. If he wins, she will give him another chance. If she wins, she will decide what she wants to do. Hugo watches them from afar like a lonely dog.

14. Back at school, a drunk Flores comes stumbling onto the playground calling out for Alexa. Crying , he gets on his knees and asks her to forgive him and come back home. He will do whatever she wants. She is mortified and the kids start to laugh at him. She tells him he cannot do anything. He destroyed it all. The kids laugh louder and Meli comes to Alexa's aid telling them all to stop laughing. Two security guards remove him and stop the spectacle. Meli tells Alexa not to pay any attention to the kids. They do not know anything. Meli hugs her as she cries.

15. Vero runs into Joaquín outside the school. They both came to pick up the girls. Their attention is soon drawn to Flores as he is thrown off the school grounds. He is complaining about being a desperate father. He sees Joaquín and tells him that he needs to know who the informer was behind that article.
He wants to repair what he has done and get his daughter back.

16. Alexa tells Meli that she herself is going to be the school joke. She is very sorry for what happened but he is her father and she cannot change that. She thinks it is really great that Meli is taking care of her. Meli explains that she is her friend and that she understands that her father used her to do something bad. Alexa asks if after what she did, will she still be her friend. Meli says yes. She was angry and hurt but when she saw her today, she understood it all. She says we all make mistakes. What is important is what we do afterwards. Alexa thanks her and they hug.

17. Joaquín refuses to talk to Flores in his current state. He tells him to a call him when he is in better condition. Flores tries to force the issue but then the girls appear. Joaquín leaves him alone with Vero. He cannot believe she is still involved in that farce of being a domestic worker. He then goes on about losing his daughter. She is the only thing he has in the world. He doesn't know what to do. Vero tells him the first thing he needs so do is leave school and then, he need to stop drinking. She will talk to him at his office.

18. Vale and Eleazar race.

19. Joaquín brings Dani and Meli to the office where they will finish their homework first before helping out in the office. Kassandra sees them all together and thinks she finally got Joaquín out of that house and away from those orphans and now he is bringing them to her at the office!!! She pretends to be happy to see the kids.

20. It seems that Vale and Eleazar tied. He thinks that shows that they are supposed to be side by side and not one in front of the other. Vale smiles and they kiss.

21. Vero is lecturing Flores back at his office about all the harm he caused his daughter and the terrible embarrassment that she suffered. She tells him if he really wants to repair the situation then he needs to go about it in another way.
He answers that is why he wants to apologize to Navarro. She reminds him that his article hurt a whole family. She tells him to publish a new article in his magazine citing the errors of his ways. Flores says an article like that would be liking shooting himself in the foot. She disagrees. He would be showing some dignity. She reminds him this is not about the magazine but about Alexa. She has no idea if Alexa will forgive him but at least he can show her that he has honor.

22. At the track, Hugo, with his sad hound doggie face, tells Vale that he sees that she enjoyed the track with Eleazar. Smiling, she tells him not to look at her that way. They are and always have been friends. He reminds her of what he feels for her. She tells Hugo that she and Eleazar are going out again because she is in love with him. She doesn't want to hurt him so that is why she is being completely honest with him. She tells him to stop thinking that something is going to happen between them because that is not going to happen. She is telling him because she cares about him. As his friend, she hopes that he hasn't ended things with Nayeli thinking that they could have something together. If he did that, he made a mistake. She adds that maybe it is not too late to fix things with her. Nayeli loves him with her whole heart.
Hugo is on the verge of tears. She hugs him, kisses him on the cheek and is gone.

23. Olga is chatting with Romina. and says that the woman who Iván is taken with could be her. Romina asks ME?" Olga laughs and tells her it was only a joke. She remembered she was married. Romina smiles. Olga adds that it isn't that she isn't pretty because she is but Iván has never gone for women so who are so demure. He goes for those who have more sparkle . . . Romina asks if she is saying she is insipid. Olga says not at all but one can see that she puts up with a lot with that caveman of a husband of hers. She has to have the patience of a saint. Since Romina gets along with Iván so well, Olga has a question for her. Does she have any idea who the woman is that is driving Iván crazy is? Romina has no idea.Olga really doesn't believe her. She thinks Romina is one of those who take secrets to the tomb. Romina says she has to get back to the girls.

24. Joaquín tells Iván that Flores said that he knows who the informant was. Joaquín concludes it must be somebody close to the family and the company.The information that the culprit got was too critical, too personal. Flores was in no condition to tell him who it was. Iván says they need to find out who it is. Joaquín says there are too many quesitonable things in the article like who that woman Luis was with. He needs to find her. He needs to find out what really happened to Luis before his death. Iván asks Joaquín for a big favor for Majo.

25. Consuelo notices that Aurelio is all dressed up and is going out.She wants to know where he is going but he isn't telling. He is feeling well and tells her not to worry about him. He leaves and she is sad that he won't stay at home with her.

26. Facundo is waiting in Iván's office for him. He asks if he talked with Joaquín and got what he wanted. Iván says he did talk to him but, as he knows, it is hard to change his mind. Facundo says he better because he is not going to leave Navarro Cross alone. He will be taking heads with him and Iván's will be the first. Iván says he has been saving money and can start paying him. Facundo decides it is not a matter of money but a matter of FAVORS. If he does it well, he will forgive him the interest on the loan. Iván says he needs time because Joaquín has so many things he is dealing with: leaving the Miranda house, financial problems at the company and now Flores the journalist! Facundo is interested in Flores. Iván says the latest is that Flores told Joaquín that he is open to revealing the identity of the informant that gave him the information for that infamous article he published. Iván is sure that when Joaquín solves that issue, he will be in a much better frame of mind to r

reconsider Facundo's situation. He tells Iván to go ahead and take care of his employment so Iván can breathe "peacefully." Iván is not smiling but Facundo leaves with a smile on his face. When in the hall, he mutters that Flores is a a miserable traitor.

27. Joaquín calls Flores and they make an appointment to meet.

28. Nico is helping Lorena out a the snack bar and they are spraying each other with water bottles. Eleazar and Vale laugh when they see them. Yes, Vale already knows Nico Claudia's father. He thinks about her being Vero's daughter.
Aurelio appears on the scene. Nico introduces Aurelio to everyone. Aurelio says he really came to meet this enchanting girl thinking that she is Claudia Nico's daughter. He welcomes her to the family.

29. Joaquín offers Majo a job at the company that matches her area of study as she continues with her university courses. They can give it a try. NO, his decision is not based on what her father told him. It is based on her ability. She is being assigned to the marketing department. She is excited and grateful.

30. Aurelio cannot believe how much Vale looks like his and Nico's mother. Vale says he is confusing her with somebody else. Nico says Claudia his daughter is not here. This is Vale who is Claudia's best friend. Eleazar introduces himself as Claudia's best friend's novio. That is a surprise for Lorena. Aurelio asks when is his niece going to arrive. Lorena says she will be there soon. Aurelio ends up chatting with Vale. Nico can only stare at them getting along so well.

31. Nuria comments on how quiet it is in the house. As Vero is cleaning, she asks if that is good or bad. Nuria says it seems they are all at the company. Is that normal? Does it happen often. Vero says yes. Nuria says she is lying. She can tell. Nuria concludes that they missed Joaquín and wanted to spend time with him. Vero cannot disagree. Nuria has noticed that Joaquín is quite a man with such an intense gaze and such powerful energy. Maybe she herself will start going to the company often.

32. At the beauty shop, Consuelo complains to Nayeli about Aurelio out all over the place with that rich one when he is barely over having a heart attack.
It hurts her seeing him all dressed up going out. It is as if something is being being pulled out of her.Nayeli tells her not to forget who she is: Consuelo the woman who scratches out a life for her children, a woman who works and fights and who doesn't need a man to get ahead. Consuelo has to smile when she acknowledges that it is her daughter who is the adviser. Nayeli says they will be there for each other. They happily hug.

33. Aurelio finds out that Vale is a female racer. She says there are plenty of them and hits him on the arm as if she knew him forever. They laugh. He says he has two daughters of his own and they are two tough customers. Vale says they are like a lot of women then. She is one of those women who doesn't give up.She fights with all she has for her dreams. That seem really good to him.

34. Claudia finally walks in. NIco introduces her to Aurelio. Aurelio welcomes her to the family. She smiles.

Blue Lass, you conjured up the crazy Monique! If you hadn't posted about Sofia needing a hysterectomy in an earlier episode, the pregnancy news wouldn't have totally been implausible. Maybe she needed a fibroid tumor removed (been there, done that without losing my uterus) and not a hysterectomy.

Can I address the weird mourning for notsofia? Real met her once, maybe twice, when she confronted her. Admittedly Cata interacted with her a bit when she was taking Sofia's place but they certainly didn't bond then.

Is Marisol advocating with Aramis on Bolero's behalf? Wasn't sure what that meeting was about.

Grecia has turned BSC since killing Andromeda. I still have questions about that the million dollar Faberge egg that was used to bash her skull. Did it break the egg? Did go zo ask what happened to Grecia's stuff and she said she had to sell things to live or did I misinterpret what was said.

Poor limon spends all his savings for the perfect wedding only to have Rulo ditch him at the alter. Some more comedic relief I guess.

Back to Barbie. First she's wearing a pink shift dress with pink feather or leaves floating from it. I had my doubts she could look good for her wedding but the little I saw it seems she went the more conventional route for her wedding gown and the mantilla/ veil was very flattering. Is the actress playing her more well known for her singing? Her acting leaves much to be desired, unless her role is to play a dumb blonde. That she has managed to perfection.

I guess she and salvador are going to open a gym together. Good for Salvador telling Sofia they didn't need her input ( probably just her money unless Barbie has a trust fund).

I know the general consensus is that Ines is expendable, but she's actually one of my favorite characters in this show. I like how she puts Aramis in his place.

Omigosh, Kat, did Monique really come back? I can't wait to see her again. I think I feel about her that way you feel about Ines -- she's bad, but she's so fun to watch.

And since Grecia's baby didn't die, Ines can still be redeemed. (I almost said "didn't die YET," due to Grecia's neglect, but they can't possibly allow harm to come to such a perfectly cute, perfectly square baby. And Gonzo seems fond of him.)

The egg was definitely in pieces at the end of the bathtub caper. I imagine she took them with her, as they must have some value. She did tell Gonzo she needed to sell the other ones for living money, since the baby ruined her figure and she can't work.

Pauline Goto is a singer and "rhythmic gymnast" (!!!) According to Wikipedia, she also attended a bilingual school in Tampico, where apparently her English teacher had a very strong Spanish accent. ;}

Heres my two pesos ...Fashion parade...it seemed to mostly focus on the women's clothing and jewelry. We saw all the actresses in many different outfits and lots of jewelry . Is the show now promoting clothing and jewelry designers ???
Grecia now has a strange, out of it look on her face . I'd like to know what she said to Bolero when she went to the jail to see him. She looked BSC in a tight blue dress with a p!urging neckline . He looked annoyed.

Thanks for a great recap Jarifa. And for rescuing my comments. I hope these don’t disappear.

I actually felt sorry for Isaura. I hope she gets a good price for the jewelry. It also showed us how heartless Kassandra is. But we already knew that.

A fun scene with Nico and Lorena, and then the shock, Aurelio bonding with his granddaughter! I couldn’t believe how comfortable they were with each other. And when he met his real niece there was just an awkward greeting.

Now I’m worried Facundo is going to kill Flores. I couldn’t believe Ivan told him that Flores was going to tell Joaquin who his source was. Ivan and Joaquin had just talked about it being someone in the company that knew them well because of the information he gave out. Ivan makes it difficult to have us like him.

I do feel sorry for Hugo, he’s almost as bad as Claudia with holding on to a love when he was told they were just friends. I’m sure he’ll be happy to step up when he finds out about the baby.

Meli was so sweet when she stood up for Alexa and comforted her. I’m glad she forgave Alexa. Not sure if I would have. And I’d want the picture that she stole returned to me!

I can’t wait to see what happens tonight!

I was thinking all the bad guys were dead or too wounded to do anything and then along came Monique. Although I don’t think Grecia is suffering from postpartum depression. I think she just doesn’t want to be a mother. But I love how Gonzo is with the baby. And that baby is adorable.

Someone asked why Gonzo was out of jail. He was set up by Victorio and was never one of the human trafficking bad guys. He just was a lousy, cheating husband. He didn’t even know what Grecia was doing!

This show has always been bad about showing someone’s thoughts as looking like a reality. But in Bolera’s case I hope he does get to be with Mia, and Marisol. I think he really loves them.

I’m curious as to where this show is going. It has at least a week more, is there going to be a wedding a day!

They did such a good job with Vale and Aurelio hitting it off so well. I especially liked when Aurelio said that Vale looked so much like his and Nico's mother. Notes from the Couch

1. Flores publishes his new article. He breathes a sigh of relief, smiles and calls Joaquín. He tells him he is on his way to meet him at his office and asks him to read the new article in the mean time. It is a public apology. (As he leaves, we see a yellow pawn chess piece on his desk as well as a photo of him and Alexa. Hmmmm)

2. Flores gets into his car but unfortunately nobody ever taught him to always check the back seat first. His upbeat mood disappears in an instant when Facundo pops from the back seat holding a gun to his head. He asks Flores if he was planning on betraying him. He tries to answer but Facundo tells him to shut up and drive.

3. Isaura is not pleased with the crummy hotel her daughter booked her in. She deserved a suite at a five star hotel for everything she has done for her not this pigsty. She remembers that they say" Raise crows and they will pluck your eyes out."Looking at the sapphire necklace makes he feel better. She isn't stealing, only settling accounts and it is only the beginning for Kassandra!

4. Dani sees Bruno a the office and reminds him that he stood her up at her party. He explains to his "princess" that he was being punished and couldn't go. She says her party was fine although the people she was expecting didn't come like him. He gives her a box with a gift he bought for her. It is a necklace . He says it is gold. She can bite it to prove it is, if she wants. He bought it at one of those really ritzy jewelry shops downtown. He asks if she likes it. She says she loves it, thanks him and smiles.

5. Vale and Aurelio have arrived in the office chatting and all smiles. Vale cannot believe that Carmen and Romina are cousins. Aurelio asks her not to say anything because he doesn't know who his brother has told about Carmen. She says the secret is safe with her. Romina sees them together and is shocked not knowing what is going on. A smiling Vale hits Aurelio on his arm and says that Romina's father is a delight! Aurelio laughs about being called a delight. Romina sees that Vale miraculously made him laugh. Aurelio thinks that Vale is a real charmer. Romina smiles seeing that they do not know each other's real identities. Vale is off to see her godfather. She tells Aurelio that she loved meeting him and chatting with him. They shake hands and he leaves. He tells Romina one more time that Vale is a charmer. Romina smiles.

6. All four kids are with Joaquín in his office having a pizza party. They are having a napkin fight and a good time when Kassandra pauses at the door clearly not liking what she is seeing. Iván, smiling, comes up behind her and tells her to look at his brother and how he has turned his office into a playground! He loves seeing him being a real father. He asks if Kassandra gets excited seeing him that way. She puts on a smile and says she does. She is almost crying from the emotion of it all. Her face goes blank as Iván leaves.

7. Facundo has Flores drive out of the city and up into the mountains. Flores tries to ask Facundo where they are going. Facundo tells him he'll see and to calm down. He tells him to turn to the right.. As Flores is driving through his own hell, Joaquín and the kids are reading this new article he published on line as well as Vero at the house and his daughter at her mother's. .

"It isn't easy to recognize one's own mistakes and even less so when the damage has already been done. But today he knows he should write with honesty not as the director of a magazine but as a man and as a father. Several weeks ago, he published an article about the late Luis Miranda a man who is not here to defend himself and who left behind a family who is still battling his absence. This story was told in such a way that it did not honor the journalism that he himself defended his whole life. It was a hard cruel text and especially unjust. In his eagerness to publish his article first, he crossed a line he never should have crossed. He exposed the privacy of a family without thinking of the pain it could cause."

Out in the middle of nowhere, Flores is trying to bargain with Facundo saying that he can fix it all. Facundo tells him to shut up and hits him with the gun in the head. Flores falls unconscious. While we see Facundo leave the car and pour gasoline all over. as we continue to hear Flores' article in his voice.

"Behind every scandal, there are people made out of flesh and blood with wound that will never heal. The worst part of it all was the he involved somebody that he never should have burdened with his mistakes: his daughter. He used her innocence, her affection and her loyalty as a bargaining chip in this mission. He will never forgive himself for that. If they were hurt by his words, he offers them a sincere apology. From today on, he is committing his magazine to being a space for responsible information, and not a show case for carrion."

Facundo empties the gasoline can and sets the car on fire telling Flores this is how betrayal is repaid. The car explodes in flames. Facundo watches and chuckles. His smile never leaves his face.

We hear Flores continue.

"He tells his dear daughter that he owes her more than an apology. He owes her an example only shown though his actions and he is going to do that."

Everyone is emotional reading his article.

8. That evening, Romina goes to see Vero to tell her about Vale and Aurelio having met each other.

9. Kassandra tells Joaquín that supper is ready. He has been trying to reach Flores who never made it to a meeting they had planned. She reminds him that Flores did publish the article. Joaquín says it had a good effect on them all as if they were breathing again. Kassandra smiles. She says she saw that he spent all afternoon with the kids in the office. It was good to see how much they care for him. He admits he misses the kids so much as well as that house, the noise, the laughter and even the anger. They both laugh as he adds that leaving has really weighed on him. She gets it but tells him that life goes on. The kids are fine being cared for by their aunt so now it is time for him to move on, too. She adds that they need to set a date for their wedding. Maybe they will have a child of their own soon and that joy he is missing can fill their lives forever. He smiles and nods. She hugs him and his smile is gone.

10. Romina says Vero should have seen Vale and their father. Vale made him laugh. How long has it been since they have heard him laugh? He was fascinated talking to her. When he finds out that Vale is his granddaughter, it will change his life. Romain says she has to tell them already who Vale is. Vero refuses. It isn't the right time. Romina asks when it it going to be the right time?
Vero doesn't know especially knowing how Vale feels about her birth mother. Romina says she respects Vero's decision but she isn't the only one involved. Vale is their father's granddaughter. and her niece.

11. Aurelio is telling Nico how special that girl Vale is. She has a spark, a gift for making herself likable to anyone. She looked at him as if she had known him her whole life. Nico says she seems to have a good heart. Aurelio says although he doesn't want to be critical, Claudia was rather distant. Nico explains that she is going through a difficult time but she is an incredible girl. Aurelio wants to know how he is going stay in his "cassock" now that he has found out that he has a daughter and after seeing Lorena again. Nico says it isn't easy but his faith sustains him and his vocation gives him peace. That being said, it does hurt. There are things inside of him he cannot turn off. Aurelio advises him to think about it very well. The peace that the church gives him is one thing but sooner or later the heart will make him pay.

12. Finally, Marcos appears with the results from the fertility tests he took. Romina could not look more bored. It turns out that he doesn't have any problems. He says they only have to keep trying. She tries to smile. He kisses her.

13. Nuria has come to see Joaquín at the office and her true colors start to show. She tells him that she and the kids are coming together as a family although it would be easier if he didn't bring her nieces to the office like he did yesterday. They were there all afternoon and she asked him to give them space to connect. He explains it was a special situation The kids miss him and it did them all good spend the day together. She says she gets it but she is also there for something else. She not only plans to be the children's guardian but also plans on taking charge of their inheritance. She supposes he would not mind if she participated in the meeting with the corporative office. Joaquín will not lie and tells her that the company has financial problems because of how things were left after Luis died. He has used his own money to fill in the holes so the kids' inheritance would not be affected. She says she is really grateful but now that she is there it is her job to look out for the kids' financial interests.

14. Aurelio tells Vero she doesn't have to go with him to the doctors. She reminds him she still cares about him. She says she heard that he met the owner of the company's daughter. He gets a big smile on his face and says her name is Vale. She was so charming, educated, sweet. He felt like he had known her his whole life. Vero starts to get emotional as he asks if she knows her.

15. Suddenly, Romina appears in tears. She feels that she is being punished by God for Aurelio having given Vero's baby away and for despising her. God has decided that he doesn't deserve to be a grandfather so she isn't getting pregnant.

At the meeting with the corporate office, Navarro Cross is informed that that the corporate office has decided to assign them a capital partner, a strategic ally who will be able to immediately provide the money that is necessary to pay their bills and relaunch the international presence of the company.. He introduces the new partner: Mario Nolivos. Mario enters with Sanabria at his side. He says it is a pleasure to join the others at the table. Joaquin is infuriated.

17. Romina screams at Aurelio that she wants to have a child for him because ever since she got married, all she has heard from him is that he wanted a grandchild. She has tried for months, for years and nothing. She and Marcos are fertile. It is as if they are cursed. She reminds Aurelio that he renounced his own granddaughter. He says what he did was for the child's and Vero's own good. She insists she is being condemned for his sin and stats to pummel him. Vero and Consuelo drag her off of him as she sobs. He says they will never understand him and leaves.

18. Joaquín rejects the corporate solution. Nolivos will not be a part of the company. The corporative rep says if he doesn't accept the new partner, they will drop Navarro-Cross and they will end up bankrupt. Kassandra tells Joaquín he cannot let that happen. Nuria agrees saying they are at a crossroads and if they open their minds and align their energy maybe they will discover that Mr. Nolivos' vibes are just exactly what they need. Mario says exactly! He tells them he isn't there to destroy anything but to build. HIs proposal is simple. He wants to fuse the best of two worlds. Navarro-Cross has history and prestige It is a beloved brand in Mexico but it is weak in the international circuit. On the other hand, Nolivos Motors has what they need now, new capital, cutting edge technology and a distribution network that will open doors in markets they never could reach. He sees their union as a giant capable of dominating any track, each championship, and each market. The corporate rep explains that they are talking about an immediate injection of capital to stabilize their finances and cover the loss of sponsors and guarantee the next season without debt. Nuria tell Joaquín it is no time for pride. This could be the only way of honoring and saving what he and Luis built together.

19. Consuelo gets Romina and Vero to her house to connect with family and help each other. Nayeli comes in seeing three queens together. She asks if anyone has told Romina that somebody new is coming to the family. No, but Romina finds out that Nayeli is pregnant and happily congratulates her.

20. Mario and Joaquín are alone in the office. Mario says here they are again face to face like when they competed on the track. Joaquín says that Mario never was a clean competitor on or off he track. He played dirty. Mario tells him not to confuse intelligence with cheating. He did what he had to in order to grow. Joaquin would have done the same thing. Joaquín accuses him of stealing his designs. Mario makes it clear that he didn't steal them but he bought them. They were on the market. Isn't that what empresarios do?
Next, Joaquín accuses him of pressuring Luis about the debt he had. Mario says that article that was published was all lies. Also, Luis wasn't the one who sold him the designs. He bought them well after Luis's death. Joaquín asks who sold them to him. Mario says when the deal arrived in his hands, he didn't know they were from the Navarro company, but if he had known, he would have bought them anyway. Joaquín calls him miserable. Mario says no. It is a matter of perspective. He tells Joaquín that he has a traitor inside the company. He can help him find him. Joaquín asks why?. Mario says he would gain a powerful ally in him and together they would take their companies to the highest of heights. He tells Joaquín he has a decision to make.

21. Aurelio is back at the park to visit with Isaura. She asks him what is going on with him. He seems to be carrying the weight of the world on his shoulders. He says it is his daughters. They were the greatest blessing that God gave him but now they are the heaviest cross he carries. They despise him and are killing him. Isaura thinks that children are ungrateful. You raise and support them and when you least expect it, they push you aside as if you are nothing.
Aurelio says he gave all he had but even that never was enough. Isaura says she understands more than he knows. She says that unlike her, he is probably thinking about how to get his daughter's affection back. Aurelio admits he is thinking about that for the first time in his life. How to get that love back that has been lost? She smiles and tells him not to worry so much.

22. Nuria is busy making plans with an interioir decorator to redecorate the master suite. Vero arrives with a tray of refreshments. First, Nuria wants the pictures off the wall. Vero remembers her encounter with Joaquín when they fell on the bed as she was hanging those very pictures.

23. Joaquín is looking at an engagement ring when Iván walks in his office. Iván hopes that he isn't planning on doing what he thinks he is. Joaquín says he bought it before coming to the office and he is planning on proposing to Kassandra . The time has come to take that step. Iván says a step to his death! Joaquín asks him not to say that. She has been by his side and he cares for her a lot. Iván points out that he does not love her. He is in love with Vero. Joaquín explains that Vero was very clear with him. She doesn't feel the same way that he does. She has rejected him whenever he has tried to get close to her. Right now, he needs something solid after losing the kids and maybe the company. Maybe starting a family with Kassandra is the trick so he doesn't feel so lost. Looking downtrodden, he says he is proposing to Kassandra tonight. Iván is shocked.

24.Vero is in the laundry room thinking about her outing with Joaquín in their revolution costumes. Iván arrives to let her know about Joaquín and his imminent proposal to Kassandra which would be the greatest mistake of his life. Iván can tell that she loves Joaquín and that Joaquín loves her. She tries to deny it but he disagrees. He explains that his brother is trying to convince himself that he loves Kassandra when the only one he loves is her.

25.Isaura has dropped by to see Joaquín and he shows her the ring. She thinks it is beautiful. He is happy that she likes it. He tells her how much he appreciates that Kassandra has been at his side through the worst of times.
Isaura STARTS by saying that Kassandra is crazy in love with him. She told Kassandra to be patient and win his heart through those poor orphaned children. Isaura wanted him and Kassandra to form a family with them. Joaquín says that is no longer a possibility. Nuria's arrival changed many things. Isaura says the truth is that Kassandra never planned on sharing him not even with such divine children. Joaquín starts to look inquisitive. She supposes that he knows that Nuria didn't just come back to Mexico by chance. He doesn't get it. Isaura explains that Kassandra hired a detective to find her She knew with that with Nuria here taking care of her nieces and nephews, he wouldn't have any choice but to leave the house. Isaura asks him not to take it the wrong way. Kassandra only wants the best for him. a life without involvement with others where he will be free and she the only one who owns his love. He looks concerned and she is pleased with what she has done.

26. Vero tells Iván that she hopes that Joaquín will be very happy with a woman who can love him but that woman is not her. It is clear that Iván does not believe her but he is done and leaves. Ver is upset.

27. Isaura asks Joaquín not to judge Kassandra harshly. She has done everything thinking of the best for everyone and principally for herself. Kassandra only wants to give him the life he deserves. She tells him to think about it. Kassandra adores him. Nobody will love him like her daughter. She leaves a pensive and angry Joaquín. He looks at a photo of the kids and then the ring.

28. As she leaves the company, Isaura gets a call from Kassandra,. Isaura says she she was just thinking of her. Kassandra accuses her of stealing the sapphire jewelry. Isaura says that Kassandra threw her out like an old rag and then booked her at a horrendous motel. Did she thinks she was going to leave empty-handed? Kassandra threatens her if she doesn't return the jewlry. Isaura calls her ungrateful. Isaura thinks she deserves the jewels for all she has done for her. Isaura informs her that she just met with Joaquín and he showed her an engagement ring. He is going to propose to her tonight. Kassandra starts to smile.

Wow! What an episode! Things are really moving now. I loved Isaura starting with taking the jewelry and the paying Joaquín that little visit to cap off her revenge. I hope Facundo has a really bad ending. More mañana.

Do you get the feeling the writers accidentally got done early but found out they have to fill up two more weeks, so now they're just padding with flashbacks and fashion shows and beer ads and manufactured conflict? I mean, who cares who's paying for the wedding when PEOPLE ARE SHOOTING AT YOU? Get a grip, fellas.

High points:

- Cande asking Ines if she loves Aramis or does she just consider him a human ATM, and her answer: "A little bit of both."
- Gonzo going through a million names for the square baby and then just naming him Gonzo Jr.
- Limon's gay posse. I want them at EVERY wedding.
- Cande using Aramis as a bike rack for the dog.
- Bolero building Mia a doll house in prison.
- Ines tellng the baby, "Your mama's crazier than me, and that's saying a lot!"

Low points:

- Rex's overnight transformation into a femme. What, did she just get her first period?
- Grecia leaving the baby alone in the apartment for two hours and then faking post-partum depression.
- Adding Limon to the venganza-wagon. Really, we don't need any more villains.

QTH points:

- How many bodyguards at Barbi's wedding and nobody to say, "Hey look! Behind you!"?
- Aramis trying to bully somebody called "Ramses" on the phone. Do we even know who that is? I'm not learning any more names at this point.
- The wedding turns into a literal circus, with pink fairies, 7th-inning stretch characters, and...dancing transformers? (And are bedroom-slipper favors a thing now? I must have missed that popular culture development.))
- Lots of shots of Gonzo at the reception sitting with some random chick, then heartily congratulating Franco on catching the garter. Maybe she's his therapist.

Thanks so much Jarifa, another great recap. And what an episode! Sadly I was right about Facundo murdering Flores. I was hoping he’d just threaten him. And he couldn’t just simply shoot him, he had to light the fire and have the car explode. And he was so pleased with his work. He’s a very sick man, why doesn’t anyone see it?! Facundo’s now caused grief to five children.

I wish Vero would just confess all to Joaquin, including her love for him. He could even help her tell Vale who she really is. It’s going to get complicated since Aurelio and Vale have hit it off so well. I’m afraid Vale may run into them and call Vero Consuelo.

Isaura is going to redeem herself by slowly destroying Kassandra, at least that’s what I hope! I’m looking forward to that happening anyway.

I wonder if Mario will ever reveal who he bought the plans from. I doubt it.

Nuria is not making things easy for Joaquin or the kids. And I don’t think she should control their money. They need a third party for that.

Romina sure does seem to not love, or even like her husband. I’m afraid she’s in love with Ivan. I hope not.

Thanks Blue Lass. I have to agree with you on the writers finishing early. It seems like most of the episodes are flashbacks and fill in. So much of last night was the wedding. I always think they should spend some time letting us see them happy but this is too much time and little action.

What a blockbuster episode!! The angst, the agony, the drama!

What an extraordinary recap! Jarifa, you've outdone yourself.

On a night when Mario should have been the starring storyline, it faded behind other shocking developments far more deserving of our immediate attention.

"Flores is driving through his own hell" perfectly reflected that grim and gripping scene. Facundo has now shown us (hopefully) the worst of himself and his cold, black heart. Flores did redeem himself in the end. Rest in peace.

After pondering Glinda's question: is she a good witch or a bad witch, it appears we now have our answer. It seems clear not so nice Nuria is letting her mask slip, revealing a cool and calculating aura. "She not only plans to be the children's guardian but also plans on taking charge of their inheritance". Her sitting in on the meeting shows she is not treading lightly but making her presence known.

So now Vale has met her grandfather whom she likes and her biological mother whom she feels much for, not to mention her aunt Romina. All these relatives yet she is none the wiser. Vero's already too late but she needs to start talking, and now. BTW, I'm surprised she stayed on at Nuria's.

For the life of me I could not figure out exactly what Romina was yelling at Aurelio about so thank you for clarifying all of that Jarifa. I can't help but wonder though if she gets pregnant now, will she be happy given her seemingly growing doubts about her marriage??

Isaura is largely responsible for the values Kassandra does and does not possess. When Kassandra kicked her to the cub, I was very happy she took the necklace and earrings. Although I'm glad Joaquin now knows what Kassandra's true motives are, I thought it very harsh that Mama Grifter would spill all the frijoles about her likely not too adored daughter.

I kept hoping poor Flores would escape somehow. Sadly Alexa will have to grow up with the mom who abandoned her to start a new family with a new husband. The only plus in this tragic event is that at least Facundo didn't fake a suicide with Flores, which would've crushed Alexa even more. It should be clear to the police that this is murder.

Romina needs a shrink. God is punishing her because of Aurelio giving way his grandkid? Maybe God is giving you free childless time to decide if you want to have a baby with Marcos and if you want to stay married?

Hell hath no fury like a mother scorned by her daughter. Isauro sure has set up Kass for a fall. But I don't get how Isauro will pay her living expenses without her offspring's support.

Aurelio had some nerve gushing about Vale while telling Padre Nico that his newfound daughter Claudia is kind of "distant." Hombre, Claudia is no prize, but she's the Padre's only kid. Don't be rude.

I get nervous every time she says to somebody that it isn't "the right time" It seems like it is never going to be "the right time."

Diana, yes, ditzy Nuria is proving to not be so ditzy with her insistence on being at the meeting and being in charge of the children's finances. It will be interesting to see what else she could be up to. I was also surprised that Isaura gave Joaquín a heads up about her daughter. She is a tough one.
