There is much I'm not following and a few storylines I could do without. I have to say though that there are always one or two scenes that have me smiling away and are enough to keep me watching.

Tonight, it was Pilar bringing in a tray and announcing "sandwiches" to a dismayed Josefina (looking as though her mother had brought in something unseemly and unpalatable) and unimpressed Vincente. (Erika is doing a great job with her uptight and rather thankless role). Segundo as "Columbo" and "Sherlock Holmes" also had me laughing.

Is Miguel crushing on Pilar?? 😊

Angela's mother does not deserve that sweet Pomeranian. The actress doesn't appear comfortable holding the dog gently or with any affection (which goes along with her character unfortunately).

Can someone please tell me what Vincente gave Lucero and Mariano?

As soon as Lucero told Mariano she loved him and that montage of their affection aired, my heart sank. Watching her bend over in pain, it seems with good reason, unfortunately.

At least Dr. Virginia has some interest in poor Elisa; Diana is completely disengaged...

What IS up with that moon-eyed stare? Does she remind him of his long-lost grandma or what?

I don’t have reliable internet where I am, so I won’t be able to catch up until Monday. I appreciate all the tantalizing commentary. And I appreciate the fact that in this telenovela, they go for their fists instead of their guns. But when is Elisa going to punch somebody? She’s had enough practice.

To me the big mystery is still why Max burned all of Angela’s grandfather’s notebooks. (We know it was him because of that distinctive orange watchband.) If the secret of the wine was in there, wouldn’t he have wanted it for himself?

I’m thinking if the kid didn’t have a mother since he grew up on the street, maybe he’s confused, calling her “my lady,” etc. because he’s emotionally reacting to Pilar’s kindness. Maybe he needs the psychiatrist!

The sandwich meal was funny. I can’t believe Chata and Vicente preferred not to eat!!! The detective makes me laugh! The show always makes me laugh at least once an episode.

But, please don’t have Lucero die. She spends a lot of time with plants. Could it be tied to the mysterious deaths of Don Juan’s wives?

Loved the Don Juan Tenorio/Velorio joke!

I hope Angela will relax and be the way that Eva Cedeño usually is!

Diana, yes, I also loved Segundo and his aliases Columbo and Sherlock Holmes and him having to do the cellphone shuffle. His scenes were the highlight for me tonight.

So, Goth Girl doesn''t know the name of the boy who impregnated her. She only knows him by his nickname "Mosca" "Fly." He was too busy paying video games when she called him to talk. Guess I am not surprised.

Whoa! Yes, it seems like Miguel aka "Larva" is attracted to older women. He is always staring at Granny Pilar and wanting to follow her around like a puppy dog. After she left one scene, he muttered to himself "Qué hembra!" as in "What a babe!"

Vicente gave Mariano and Lucero shares in his company as a wedding gift so that Mariano is now his partner.

Lucero suddenly was feeling faint because her heart was acting up and was racing. Not good.

Babachita, I have never seen Eva Cedeño before so I am looking forward to a change in her character.

Yes, some young guys are attracted to older women . You see it in high schools, but Pilar could be his abuela and that is what he really needs/wants .

Maybe Goth girl will seduce Tomas and tell him.that he is the daddy. Yes, that is a good idea..do it. Autocorrect changed " seduce" to "reduce" which also works.

Uh oh , looks like the writers may he setting up sweet, trusting Lucero for an illness. Onward we go. Susan

Vincente gifting Mariano and Lucero shares in his company was so nice; Mariano seemed particularly thrilled. Vincente seems like such a good man despite his lack of enthusiasm for sammies. :)

Ahhh, so Lucero's heart was racing..."Not good" indeed I say frowning.

I now have a theory about Amparo. It was the way she caught on to “Colombo” following her and she took him by surprise. I wonder if she could be undercover police investigating the deaths of Juan’s three wives. Segundo did mention to Juan that she had asked him about his wives all dying of the same thing. And that seems strange to me too. Could Lucero be a serial wife killer, That idea came from Babachita and her mention of Lucero and the plants. But it’s the only way I can let Mariano end up with Angela instead of her!

I’m enjoying Max most of all. I’ve never seen him play a funny guy before. Although I enjoyed Moncho with the two wannabe fighters too.

Liz, your theory about Amparo being undercover makes perfect sense.

"Could Lucero be a serial wife killer, That idea came from Babachita and her mention of Lucero and the plants" would be a wild twist! Whatever happens, it is starting to appear that fate has someone other than Lucero in mind for Mariano. :(

Wouldn't Lucero be too young to have poisoned Juan's wives, except perhaps the last one. Are his children each from one of his former wives? Bernabe is the youngest, right, and I would put him as being older than Lucero.

Being undercover to determine if foul play was involved does sound feasible.

Thinking back on the small portion of this novela we have seen, I do not think I have ever seen so many obnoxiously pushy men whether it be in romance or in business. I could not believe Mariano being so bent out of shape to the point of feeling insulted because Vicente refused to tell him the secret of his wine. Mariano wanted to know so when something happened to him, the secret wouldn’t die with him. (Really? How crude and rude can Mariano get?)I loved how Vicente cited making him his partner already should have showed him how much he trusted him and then assured him that somebody else already knew the secret so there was nothing to worry about because if something happened to him, they would come forward. Just another reason I dislike the Mariano character.

Jarifa, ITA with you about Mariano. Why would Vicente give him the recipe when he has his son and grandchildren to give the recipe to. Lots of young men in this show and the 2 geekiest are fighting over very pretty Conchita. About the only guys that are at all attractive to me in this show are Moncho and in his big guy looks, Max!

Speaking of Moncho, he seems to be the hardest working guy at the winery. He's generally happy for Mariano being made a partner as a wedding gift. No resentment whatsoever.

The guys fighting for Conchita is a silly storyline, but it does have its comedic aspect. Both of them soaking their feet after Moncho's training session! I guess neither do much physically. Another funny scene was Chata, et al eavesdropping on Vicente and the therapist, then et al trying to hear Chata when it was her turn.

What kind of wife of 30 years wouldn't recognize her husband's handwriting, and why in the world does she think Juan would be interested in her when he is so obsessed with his wife? Beanie time.

Vicente ended his exchange with Mariano saying there are some secrets that are worth more than their weight in gold and that this is one of them.

Something cryptic there?

Kat, as far as the men go, it is really a losers’ circle. You are so right about beanie time! I am going to have to find mine and dust it off.

I guess Lucero could not have had anything to do with all the wives deaths. Kat pointed out the ages and Lucero would have been too young, if she was even born yet! I can’t figure out how we will ever root for Angela over Lucero. I wonder what the writers of this were thinking!

At least Angela dumped Tomas, who took it very well. I agree that Max and Moncho are the only worthy men in this, but I would add Vicente. I’ve always liked him.

Susan, so glad you have Univision. We would miss you if you couldn’t join us!

I went from one hospital scene to another as Tierra de Amor has a character in the hospital too.

I think Amparo uncover to investigate Juan's the death of Juan's who VES is a very good theory.
Not many people to admire I this show . I need a Galan who is a hero. Those seem to be in short supply in recent novelas . Times are changing in novels and in real life . susan, shopping for a better beanie
