MEPS, May 26th - Letters? What Letters?
We got our appointment rescheduled at the Consulate in Ciudad Juarez - I need substitute recappers for June 16th and June 23rd. Anybody? Thanks!
Capitulo 71
From last night: Lili repeats Eddie’s name over and over again. Fr/Ed and Cinto strategize about who knows what.
Babs is back in Aurora’s room and pokes around a bit more in some drawers, just then Santi and Aurora come in and want to know what Babs was doing in the room. She claims she came looking for them to have some delicious Sangria as a welcome. Rory’s eatin’ up Babs’ hospitality – Santiago, not so much, he makes an “I wanna puke face.” Aurora accepts and Babs leaves to wait for them downstairs. Santi says he envies A-Bore-a’s innocence. Only half joking, Santi wants to switch glasses in case Babs tries to poison Aurora.
Back at Las Animas, Fr/Ed tells Cinto that he hopes Gardenia shows up with his stuff. He thinks Fernanda had written him letters all those years ago, because she confessed it to “Franco”. RuhRoh! Denia’s listening to their conversation in the hallway! Denia vows that Eddie will NEVER see those letters! (All you men who said that Denia was going to be a good girl were WRONG! We told you so! Hey, I’m a woman, I’m allowed to say I told you so!”
Nandita is in her office remembering Franco’s loving words and of course, his kiss. She raises her hand to her lips with just a hint of a smile on her face and closes her eyes. She tries to shake it off, literally, but she can’t stop smiling like a 3rd grader.
Babs serves up the Sangria. She tells Rory she imagines that Santi has told her they don’t get along very well. Santi claims he hasn’t spoken much about his family. Babs says they had their differences when Santi was a teenager, but she blames it on her own immaturity. Santi cannot believe what he’s hearing. Babs changes the subject to Aurora’s family. The two young lovers are dumbstruck by the question. All we hear is Meow Symphony #5 music.
Fr/Ed and Esteve are in Fr/Ed’s office at Las Animas. They talk about needing to find Lucio.
Esteve does his best gringo impression. They think maybe Lucio can tell them who Manzanares is really working for. Esteve presents Ed with the guest list for the big shindig to smoke out the enemy. Fr/Ed thinks the party is getting too big. Esteve wants to invite anybody who’s anybody, government officials, show business people, the captains of industry, US Ambassadors, and last but not least, the cream (la nata) of Mexican high society (cream of the crop, I suppose). Fr/Ed says the party will cost a fortune, Esteve argues that in proportion to what Fr/Ed inherited it’s very little. Fr/Ed argues it’s not his money, it’s Liliana’s. Esteve says, “Come On!, Jesus Christ”. (OK, I’m not really religious or anything, but does anyone besides me find that kind of offensive the way Esteve says it?”) Esteve says in order to comply with Ciro’s wishes, he’s going to have to use some of the money and Fr/Ed says fine, but he wants to make sure Lili knows first. Steve says the investment of capital into Grupo Lactos is to keep the company from sinking like the Titanic (sound effects by Esteve, brought to you by Pow-where Meeelk). Fr/Ed gets it, and says if he follows Esteve’s logic, Barbara Greco will wind up with half of Liliana’s fortune.
Babs asks Rory what her daddy does for a living. Santi answers for Rory and says her father is an investigator. Babs looks a little flustered and asks if he means a Private Investigator. Santi says no, like a scientist. Babs presses for his specialty, and Rory answers “animals”, huh? Babs moves on and asks about Rory’s mother, Rory says she’s dead. Babs is impactada!
Now, back to sweet, pure, innocent of heart, the lovely Gardenia, who is rifling through the boxes she’s supposed to be delivering to Eddie. (BTW, I just noticed that the planter in the background in Marg/Jacinto’s dining room looks like a disco ball!) Denia proceeds to open a letter from Nanda saying (in little girl Nanda voice) how much things have changed at the hacienda since he left – her mother died a week ago and now she’s being sent off to Spain to study. She tells him to never forget the vow they made, and to never forget her because she’ll never forget him. Looks to me like that was the frontera of the “Dark Side” and yes, Denia just whipped out her passport and crossed over!
Babs presses on with her interrogation – was Rory’s mother young when she died? Rory says she died when she was born. Babs imagines how hard it must have been to grow up without her mother. Babs says Rory must have adored her father then, and surprisingly, Rory responds that syes, she does, but she’s never seen him, he’s always out investigating. Babs wants Mommy’s name.
Denia’s reading more letters to Eddie from Nanda. Nanda says she can’t understand why Eddie hasn’t written back. Denia stuffs it back in the envelope and back into the box.
Rory says her mother’s name was “Esperanza”. Rory can’t believe how she’s spitting out these lies! Babs asks how did she die, Rory says from a sickness. Babs asks if she knew her and Santi steps in and reminds Babs that Rory’s mom died when she was born and that she “knows” her through photos. Gonzo the 40 Watt Bulb arrives and greets them all. Gonzo asks what their plans are and Santi breaks the news that they’re getting married. Babs doesn’t look so thrilled.
Well, it looks like Denia’s read all the letters. She finds the last of Nanda’s letter to Ed. Nanda says (in grown up Nanda voice to emphasize the passage of time) she realizes so much time has gone by and now wants to apologize for not having had the character to defend him when they were children. Nanda hopes she will forgive him.
Back at Looney Central, Martina is still knitting and Lili is still napping when Eduardo and Esteve walk in with bouquets of flowers. Lili is thrilled and hugs Eduardo. Eddie introduces Esteve to Lili. Esteve presents Martina with a bouquet also. Esteve flirts a bit with Martina (I still think Martina will end up with Dr. Cuteguy and Esteve will end up with Gardenia once she’s returned from the Dark Side). Martina tells Eddie it’s been quiet around the Crazy House, no pills for Lili. She explains that Ciro’s wife had come to visit and show Eddie the box that Lili traded. Fr/Ed looks impactada when he sees the box, because he remembers it from his mother’s bedroom.
Denia is still reading letters, Nanda says she’s waited all these years to ask Eddie’s forgiveness for her weakness face to face. The past that they share hurts her. She says she never thought of their love as impossible, but she was wrong. She’s sure he won’t answer this letter either, but she wants to take the opportunity to say goodbye, but his silence is the only reason why she’s going to shut the door on his memory - goodbye forever, Eduardo. Denia puts the last of the letters in the box just as Margarita walks in. She explains to Marg that “Don Santorito” wants Dona Soledad’s stuff right away. Denia leaves for a moment to go get some string to tie up the box so it won’t break. Looks like Marg wants to poke around in the box, but Denia comes back and asks for help to tie it up, but changes her mind and says she’ll do it alone – Margs leaves the room. Denia thinks to herself what will happen if Ed reads the letters – he’ll go back to Nanda and she’ll be left with nothing.
Fr/Ed studies the box and wonders how Graciela Palafox wound up with the box. Lili pipes up, finally and says it was her Nana’s. Ed presses Lili about what was in the box – her freedom depends on it. He tells Lili about the fortune Ciro left. Lili looks kind of out of it and says she’s very sleepy. Still without answers, Ed’s frustrated.
Back in the office at the Hacienda Evil-izalde, Santi explains they want a very simple wedding, something intimate, just them. Babs says, and Aurora’s father. Rory’s getting a little upset by all the pressure and says she hasn’t spoken with her father in a while and she’s sure he wouldn’t want to come. Babs asks about brother and sisters? Santi says Rory has none. Dumbass Gonzo, says she must have some family!
Dominga has arrived in Villa Madera.
Gonzo says again that Rory must have some family. Rory says there is a woman who is a distant relative of her grandmother. Bab says to invite her. The kids skedaddle out of there as fast as they can. Babs begins to plant seeds of doubt in Gonzo’s mind – isn’t Rory a little strange? Gonzo, for once, puts Babs in her place and says when he married Babs she didn’t invite any family to their wedding either! Ha! Babs realizes she’s made a big boo boo. She claims she explained that her parents died in an accident when she was 12 and she grew up with an older uncle who died when she finished school. Babs starts in with the fake alligator tears. In a rare moment of lucidity, Gonzo points out to Barb that her own life resembles Aurora’s. Babs turns her back on him and thinks to herself bitterly, there isn’t another life that could ever be like hers. They’re interrupted when Rory and Santi come back to get Rory’s jacket.
Dominga heads straight for the Big Cups O’ Boobs or Booze Bar with a smile on her face to ask if there’s a room for rent and to ask where the Hacienda Elizalde is. Dominga only needs the room for one night, and Bartender wants payment up front. She takes her roll of toilet paper and heads to her room.
Rory’s crying and thinks she’ll be discovered. She says his family will never forgive her for being a liar. Rory cannot handle all the lies. She remembers all the nuns telling her never to lie. She screams that she’s a bastard of life, she’s afraid her past will come back to haunt her. Santi tries to console her.
Eddie’s fretting over the fact that Lili isn’t telling him everything she knows. Fr/Ed tries to make Esteve understand the gravity of the situation they’ve found themselves in with a whole group of bad, bad people who will strike at them at any time.
Martina comes to tell them that Lili is asleep, but that when Graciela Palafox was visiting she asked Lili if she knew who Artemio Bravo is. The name doesn’t ring a bell Ed. . . or Fr/Ed. Martina tells Ed that Lili never answered. Martina also says that right before Lili fell asleep, she said that now that Eddie has the money, they’ll both be free.
Santi continues to console Rory. Rory wants to take a walk outside – alone (I smell ANVILS!) Before she leaves they declare their love for each other again and seal it with a kiss.
The Boyz bid Martina adieu and strategize about who might know who Artemio Bravo is. Fr/Ed thinks it’s someone that his mother secretly knew.
Rory tells Tomasa she’s going to the pueblo, Tomasa is worried about her.
Artemio’s two brutes are getting ready to go get Jairo, but want a sandwich first.
Domingo has arrived at the Hacienda and flags down Tomasa, who asks if that’s where Santiago Elizalde lives and Tomasa says yes. Crass Dominga says she’s actually looking for his girlfriend and Tomasa says, Oh! Senorita Aurora! Dominga thinks it’s hilarious that Aurora is being called “Senorita”. Tomasa offers to call for Santi because Aurora’s gone to the pueblo. Dominga happily runs off to find her.
Nanda’s trying to figure out what she’s going to wear to meet with Franco, Santi teases her. She tries to claim it’s just business and she only wants to get dressed up so that nobody thinks she’s the “poor widow”. Who’s she foolin!!!!

Thanks for the great recap. I do have one question, though. In your account of the coming attractions, you mention Lucio's calling Jairo to threaten him. That's really odd, because that's not the same thing that was shown where I live (near Washington DC). What I saw was Dominga grabbing Aurora, Barbara wondering about Aurora, and Fernanda preparing for her meeting with Fr/Ed. Do they really show different coming attractions in different places?
I believe that they do show different ones. Because other people have noticed that in other recaps also. But tonight I recapped off of You Tube. Last week I didn't do the whole thing from You Tube, and yes, the coming attractions were different.

Sheesh, it sometimes seems that TNs are an exercise in withstanding extreme frustration. OF COURSE, Aurora has to go through another "I'm not worthy!" episode just in time to get grabbed up by Dominga. And if she succeeds in dragging her back to that village, I will be furious. For crying out loud, can't Aurora scream or punch her in the eye or something?
I was pretty furious at Denia. It was worse than I had expected. I thought she'd just find the letters and hide them from Eduardo. No, she totally invaded both their privacies by reading every single one. Just despicable.

Thought it was sweet that the fellows all believed the best of Gardenia while we women knew for sure what she'd do. This veil of innocence between the sexes is all to the good. May the menfolk ALWAYS believe that we're better than we are.
Of course Gardenia will do everything in her power to derail the romance. It will work in the short run, but thankfully not in the long run.
On the "Jesus Christ!" question. I'm a church lady, but the swearing doesn't bother me. That's how folks talk. I've always enjoyed colorful language as long as it wasn't obscene. "Jesus Mary and Joseph!" or "Jesus wept!" always crack me up for some reason. And believe me, I'm a person of faith. But this is how people talk, especially guys. So it doesn't bother me.
It doesn't work as well when it's a foreigner speaking. In fact I do NOT like it when a non-native speaker swears. (not sure why this is) However Esteve's accent is so good, he can pull it off and I don't find it offensive at all. It seems quite natural and colloquial coming from him.

Thanks Melissa, you're right, Denia did cross over to the dark side. Not only that, but she read the letters! Yikes, she read them all. So much for 'sweet' Gardenia. I thought she would do it, because she shows very little self control or maturity. In fact it's always about her and what she wants.

Melissa, I love your recaps. I especially appreciate the warm sensitive and understanding way in which you treated Gardenia's moral and ethical lapse. I think we all recognize that she is suffering from PTSD because of her recent ordeal. Is she perhaps another potential patient for our good Dr.? I guess it's true what some folks say, "these days it's hard to find good help."

I learned a new Spanish grammar item today, and it's related to what Connie said. I hope this isn't boring to you.
An "emphatic" makes a statement stronger. In English, "do" is an emphatic. e.g.
I study hard.
I do study hard.
In Spanish the main emphatic is "sí" as in
Sí estudio mucho, I do study hard.
But notice Connie's "grow a spine already!" "ya" equals "already" in the normal sense (they arrived already), but I just found out that it's also used as an emphatic, the same way Connie used "grow a spine already!" I encountered it in a negative construction, "Pronto ya no tendre que (will not have to) usarlo." I'm not sure, maybe it's the favored emphatic in negative sentences where a "sí" could be confusing.

Yes, Gardenia read the letters, but I am not convinced that she is going to not deliver them. Her reaction was very "non-committal", and could be read either way. My present take is, that by having read the letters, she realizes what was between Eddy and Fernanda was so much greater than between Eddy and herself, and the twisted injustice of the letters not being delivered, that she will deliver them, as instucted to do. She will come to understand that Eddy cares for her very deeply, (he kept her letter all those years!)and appreciate that her feeelings for him are just different than his for her.
As for Babs- she is seeing Aurora as the daughter that she is, she is also seeing the life that she should have had, instead of the hellish, twisted life that Cigarman forced upon her. This does not redeem her, no way.

Last evening as I was pouting over my disappointment over Gardenia I got to thinking about the parallels between Vlad and Aurora. They both seem innocent and socially retarded, neither has any skill or experience with lying, and both are basically good-hearted. Maybe they both went to the same school where the nuns had a strong influence on their development.

Gardenia~~~Shame on you. Reading those old love letters was like reading someone's diary. Gardenia is nosy. We've seen that throughout this novela. She wants to know everyone's bizness, so it wasn't surprising to see her get a cold beverage and settle down at Marge's table to rifle through all those secret thoughts and hopes. About the ''J C'' exclamation that seems to be a favorite of Esteve's... I've had students who exclaim this , and I tell them that it is not as acceptable as other English expressions that Americans use. It's interesting that while people often utter ''God'' when they are surprised , angry, or excited, most people don't use ''J C.'' The Pennsylvania Dutch whom I grew up with used to say ''Gut en Himmel'', and I had a boyfriend whose mother was always translating it to English ''God in Heaven.'' Being an impressionable 16 year-old , I began using the expression until my friend Dean [who later became a minister] told me that I shouldn't say that. I once said ''Maldita'' in class, and the 18 year-old girl from Ecuador looked stricken. I guess one must be careful with words. I must admit that the striped sweater is starting to grow on me except when Fr'ed ties it model/yuppy style around his gorgeous neck. Just take it off. However, I loved Dominga's black socks. What a fashion statement.

Some of you have posted that - no problem - Freduardo will still believe Fer wrote the letters, just that his mother destroyed them. I've thought of a worse scenario. After all, the only reason he knows about the letters is that Fer told him. If Denia delivers his letters, but not Fernandas, he might jump to the conclusion that Fernanda lied about writing them for some only-logical-in-telenovelas reason. This is more in keeping with TN rhythm, which means the protagonists have to get mad at each other in cycles.
Re Jesus Christ. I think the attempt is to make Esteve sound like a regular American guy. Regular American people (male and female) often do say this, usually as an expression of exasperation when speaking with someone who has taken a position or expressed an idea that seems ridiculous to the person using the epithet.

I have never liked Gardenia because the role seems overwritten to me. It's the Annie-get-your-gun, ball- of- fire role that works with the Martina character but seems forced here. I don't blame the actress. I gather that the role was the same in PS. Nevertheless, she serves an important function in bringing the confusion that extends the plot! And it's nice to see a little more competition for our handsome lead.
As for the JC reference, I think that many of the US colloquialisms as given by Esteve are off. No one finishes every sentence with "Man." It seems odd to me in a production that is so well put together. I've wondered whether a gringo/Latino actor who speaks Spanish might not have delivered the lines in a more convincing way, but the actor still has to work with what he or she is given. The character has grown on me, so I find myself ignoring the phrases that clash with U.S. lingo. I'm sure that Mexicans cringe at the way in which Mexican characters have been depicted over the years by U.S. actors in U.S. films and TV shows.

Connie, Manzanares was moved by Cigarman's henchmen. Babs told him about it as soon as Lucio told her. Next time she met with Cigarman, he told her he had taken care of it.

You didn't miss or FF through anything, Connie. I don't think they showed it. Our only clue was Cigarman telling Babs that he had taken care of it.

I didn't like her either Julie. She was such a moron. Our Fernanda is nothing like Slowfia. I don't want anything bad to happen to Gardenia but I'm losing respect for her. Fr/Ed already told her he doesn't "love her in that way" so get over it, ya!
I'm wondering who's doing the cleaning and upkeep on the vast Las Animas and laundering of Fr/Ed's stripey sweater, given how much time Gardenia spends snooping or being given the day off. Her only duties as Fr/Ed's assistente personal seem to be to take phone messages (but only for the couple hours a week she's there) and make sure there are lot of cool, colorful drinks to be served to whoever stops by.
I just remembered some trivia about the vernacular use of 'man', the word. When soldiers were returning from the Korean War to a very prejudiced American society there were riots in some cities. Among the things they resisted was being called 'Boy'. Yes it was intentionally derragatory. Old pictures even show the signs they carried which said simply 'I am a man'. And I myself remember that grown folks told young mothers to stop calling that child a boy; they will be calling him that the rest of his life. There were many, many times I heard mothers call their young male child saying 'come here little man'. That 'little man' even became the nickname for some males.

It seems to me that Fernanda went from Strictly business and don't forget it Senor Santoro to I remember that kiss now let me find something special to wear. And in between these mood swings was her BFF suggesting that Franco might be planning a marriage proposal at the upcoming party. Did anybody else see it that way?

Carlos~~~Yellow is not my favorite color even though my mother always said it was a good color for me. I used to have a yellow raincoat , and she commented on it every time I wore it home from college. Now that my mother is gone, I find mtself buying a lot of yellow clothes... Ironic. I think Fern looks very attractive in yellow, and I think she chose the wrong dress. Gardenia brings to mind that old saying ''Curiosity killed the cat; satisfaction brought it back.'' I hope that Gardenia's curious nature does not get her killed. Hombre~~~I really disliked Antonia. What a cheeky monkey she was...climbing right into Manuel's bathtub. Even a saint would have had trouble saying ''no'' ''no'' with a brazen action like that ? Perla was evil because she had Hippolita kidnapped. Some people will just not take ''no'' for an answer. Pushy broads. [Although this applies to guys as well.] Can't wait to see where things go tonight. Now that Beckybabs suspects that Aurora is her hija, I'd like to see her deal with Dominga. That would be interesting. At least this show keeps moving forward unlike FELS which just went around and around and around. By the way, does anyone know what Eduardo Yanez next telenovrla will be? I am missing the big sweet guy.

Finally got to watch this at lunchtime and was soooo disturbed at the scenes of Gardenia going through those letters. She CAN'T give them to Eduardo because she's opened all of Fernanda's. They were sealed before. It's a dead giveaway. Those letters won't be delivered.
That being said, she used one of my favorite Spanish idioms, saying if she let Eduardo read those, she (Gardenia) would be left to "vestir santos". (be an old maid). That's such a colorful saying and I always picture grim-faced spinsters hovering around a dimly lit church, caring for the saints and bringing altar flowers faithfully.
As I said earlier, Esteve's expletives don't offend me but I'm very offended by poor Martina having to sit in a chair with that skimpy nurse's outfit up to her crotch. Those hard-working actresses deserve better.

Ooooooh. Caborita! What an interesting idea! Babs thought bubbled that no one had ever had a worse childhood when Dim Bulb commented that she and Aurora both had no family to speak of. Growing up with Dominga as your lovin' mamá certainly qualifies as a pretty bad childhood.

La hiena is supposed to have killed her parents, though. Maybe Cigarman was speaking metaphorically? And if Dominga were actually Aurora's grandmother, how much more horrible does that make her treatment of her all these years?
Ewwwww! Dominga is so nasty. I would hate to admit she was my relative! By the way, they sure drink a lot of juice on this show. Or is it Kool-aid?
My guess is the red drink is agua de jamaica, a drink made from dried hibiscus flowers which is very refreshing. It creates serious stains, though!
Yum, I love Horchata and Jamaica. I make fresh Jamaica with the dried hibiscus leaves at home. It's DELISH!
Sounds like recipe time! What is the recipe and also the one for horchata? My hairy dictionary loves horchata. I tried to make it once and it came out in a big glop.
with jamaica, you just steep a handful of dried hibiscus flowers in some boiling water for a few minutes, then sweeten it to taste and chill, just like making iced tea. horchata is tougher - I haven't had too much luck making it at home, though the liquid mixes you can buy seem to be better than using a powdered mix. if you have a restaurant in your area that does it well, you're lucky!
Thanks Renee. That hibiscus drink sounds yummy. I've seen the horchata in the little packets. I guess it is like instant iced tea sort of. Maybe I'll try one of those.

SusannLynn your story reminds me of when I was 12 in a new school, 7th grade (Jr. High). Well, I got a problem wrong in math class and exclaimed "Jesus Christ!" Oh. My. God. There was this HUGH gasp followed by silence and a few stiffled giggles and a room full of horrified looks. I had never said this before, had zippo cussing skills: as a matter of fact in my house we would have been punished for saying anything like a "bad word." Nobody in class would tell me what I had said wrong and I was truly confused! Much later I learned "using the Lord's name in vain" like this was worse than having said the "f" word and any other 4, 5, or 12-letter word I could have come up with! Well, yay these 43 years later, "JC" still sounds really bad to me, I don't use it, but I'm a big girl, I can take it!

Loved the recap Melissa. I'm with you about the Jesus Christ expletive that Esteve uses. I cringe everytime he utters it. I hope the writers will take note and have him say something else that unoffensive. So Gardenia read the letters. Now what. Will she deliver them. I too wonder is Babs will rescue Rory from Dominiga. Her mother instincts seem to be kicking in now.

I would rather Esteve not use Jesus Christ as a swear word, but it's something many people do, so the portrayal is probably accurate.

The question is whether Barb will rescue Aurora from Cigarman. I think her unsettled state, talking to him, was realizing that if Santi marries Aurora, Barb will be ordered to kill her.
Since I'm an old lady, I can get away with this stuff. In class one night, I really messed up & my favorite expression just came out of my mouth, shit. Everyone chuckled & I apologized & I was really embarrassed but said I meant mierda, which got an even bigger laugh.

Thanks Melissa. I do admire you guys who can recap from youtube. Or who can recap period. Even though more and more words are standing out to my ears, overall I still hear chipmonks. Oh well, between the bit that I understand and the recap, it's enough to hang in there. Personally, I think that habits of the characters appear annoying to us according to how much we value them. I like Steve a lot and his Spanglish with the JC or "man" mixed in is entertaining to me. Like someone else said, I grew up around blue collar workers and non professionals who perhaps overused the term to let the world know that they were men not boys. Think of the jobs that used to have "boy" attached to them, bellboy, paperboy, houseboy, etc even though these might be young men doing the work. I have 2 brothers and 1 sister. We're all in our 50's. Yet, if someone asks my mother about her children she'll say she has 2 girls and 2 boys. Young men used to tease each other when one or the other messed up "never send a boy to do a man's job". Yes, men use it throughout their conversations with each other and in a complimentary way.
Rory is not one of my favorites. If she were 12 years old instead of 20 I might be more acceptive of her too sweet, almost pitiful innocence. Seems all of the TN's have to have a grown person seeking a long lost parent.
As for Gardenia, I listened to the guys and doubted that she would read the letters. Now, my womanly instincts have kicked in and I believe that if she went that far, the handwriting is on the wall and if I'm reading it correctly, it says that Eddie aint gonna see those letters no time soon.

Melissa, Thanks for the inspired recap. I just caught up with the recap and all the fun comments. I feel like I am going to be able to catch up since all my classes ended as of the end of this morning.
I have the exact same two weeks to be away for Wednesdays. June 17th and 24th. Perhaps we can find some kind soul to at least post and attach headers. I hate to see this great discussion group go begging for four nights in the middle of June. How about a group of guest recappers that could do it together. That could be fun and give some amusing results no doubt.

They all started laughing at us and pulled out a "Maruchan" Ramen Instant Cup O' Noodles out of the pantry! LOL!!!! We were completely embarassed!
