It's Erasmo's wedding to Anastasia time! I get it now. Erasmo representing the low class, the pueblo, the charro (even when he is a bricklayer) is the one enjoying the mole poblano and the rice, the chicharrón in green sauce and the carnitas. The cake is super, resembling the design of those tiles they make in Puebla to decor the kitchens. I wonder how it tastes!
Rebeca the stripper that Jerónimo will probably make stop going to show her fat body to drunk and overweight guys is in charge of letting the guests in. Now that Jerónimo has become a singer thanks to Mr "Quiroz" who saw him singing once in the construction site that song about the soft mix that shouldn't get hard during the building of a wall, I am sure he will make his girlfriend quit both of her jobs.
Ok, Jerónimo sings "El tiempo pasa" on a white horse with a group of almost 100 musicians with a jacket that already says El Chapo. Then he sings "Le hace falta un beso" and "Sueño de amor" on a black horse. After singing once, twice, three times in two different horses, he proposes to Rebeca but she runs away. Esperanza's face it's incredible, like in that right moment she is feeling the cancer coming back to her empty tummy. I guess Rebeca loves being a bad stripper and doesn't want to get married. La cabra tira pa'l monte.
In the middle of the wedding, after dancing with Selena on their seats, Ricardo gets a call from Baxter, who sends him a picture from the surveillance cameras and it is definitely Ernesto dressed as one of the Mad Magazine's spy vs spy walking away from the crime scene. I don't want to be demanding, but do you have a better picture? Asks Ricardo.
While Jerónimo is crying after the love lost (and the embarrassment even when there were more musicians than guests), and being consoled by Kiko and Estrella, they hear the judge calling his name. His eyes shine thinking that maybe Rebeca came back and is looking for him to give him her hand, but no, sorry, he is needed before the judge to sign as a godfather.
The wedding took place at Mr Pepe Arroyo's restaurante, who along with el chapo were the godfathers on Erasmo's side. Mr Arroyo let them use his restaurante and stage. He probably did the catering himself.

And even showed him the picture taken from a drone a mile away and to make matters worse, Pato agree saying, that's definitely pops!
In the house with the stone lions, CVV is flooded by memories and thinks "como fui a enamorarme de ti" how did I fall in love with you Ricardo... Tomorrow is the big day!
Aside of the hurtful revelation, Pato and Luca can not explain themselves how did the baby Luquititita happened. They used protection and the package said that was 99% safe. Maybe the pills were "Marca Patito" (generic, unknown).
Even the board is speechless

Esperanza could not sleep at all and she gets very excited when she hears the doorbell.
-Ricardo!! He has chosen me!! Exclaims as she runs towards the door.
I can not describe with words the surprise in her face when she sees no more than Ernesto standing in front of her. We need to talk, can I come in?
True love has deadlines
Cristina Vélez Valderrama, firewoman of education and mind reader, surely knew what I was thinking, and her reaction to the second time Esperanza nalga pronta made herself affordable with yet another basket of "homemade" cookies this time with chocolate chips that can be shared with the kids at school, was to snap them out of Esperanza's hands. Cookie fight!
I am sorry you spent all night baking cookies, Esperanza, but this is not Sesame Street and Oscar (the cookie monster) is not here! Last time you said Ricardo's favorite cookies were oatmeal, now there's chocolate chips, what's next? Key lime meringue cookies? Mexican wedding cookies (hint, hint)?
Esperanza's response to the dismiss of her whole night spent baking was to slap CVV and run. (And here I had to laugh out loud, very loud)
But CVV, who has tackled Ernesto and Kracy even when they both had guns (and Kracy had mental issues), thinks this is a piece of cake and she runs after Esperanza so they can both engage in some pulling and yelling with Ricardo in the middle.
Ricardo, who has to come after them, remind them that they are both professionals and ADULTS and shouldn't be behaving like this in public (or in private).
-Please make up your mind already- Both women said.
-Ok I will let you know on sunday. And just so you know, I am suffering too, maybe more than you two! Nobody thinks about MY PAIN!
Translation: You both are a real pain in the butt.
OK. Since we can not sink any lower, let's make a civility pact. Between us women, we can tear ourselves apart but we never hurt ourselves (entre mujeres, podemos despedazarnos, pero jamás nos haremos daño).
Ricardo adds: To make things easier FOR ME, I don't want to see you, I want no flowers, no cookies (any kind), no kisses, nothing! Until sunday, ok? And don't look for me, I will look for one of you only!
Let me make a pause here.
Ricardo said he loves them both but despite of that he will make a decision.
If he chooses Esperanza loving CVV also, or if he chooses CVV loving Esperanza, what would that make them feel? They told him that they would wait not fighting each other until sunday morning, but I say that both women should get away from him right now and forever! Don't be there for him on sunday! Someone who loves two women (and both know) but must choose one of them is not a good partner! Choosing one doesn't make the other magically disappear from his mind!!

OK, so Pato is preggo and Pedro wanna leggo live with Anya.
Esperanza, who doesn't know yet about Pato, puts the scream in the sky (pone el grito en el cielo) because
1) she is not ready to be alone and
2) she think he is still too young
I thought you were going to move out until you were I don't know, 24, 36, 45?
Wait until she finds out about Pato to see how she is going to react. After that, this Pedro's thing will be nothing!
Ernesto gets an unexpected visitor
Rentería doesn't send Ernesto a requirement to declare as a suspect. Instead, he questions him about the audio bit he has. That doesn't prove anything -says Erny.
- Maybe not but we are digging and so far we have some ends already tied.
Ernesto doesn't have time for all this nonsense and dares Rentería to prove with something more than a recording that could be fake, that he is involved in Kracy's attempt murder and Murillo's actual murder. Why not send Ruperto to talk to Murillo's cat? He is the only witness!
Dust to dust
Once alone in his house, Richerd calls Mr. and Mrs. Tidman in excellent english to let them know that Kracy's ashes will be sent via FedEx tomorrow and gives them the tracking number. Then he calls Baxter to ask him to investigate about Ernesto. I need to know if she told me the truth, he says.

After so much laughing and enjoying and eating wedding cake, is time to face Mapa's temper.
Pato finally breaks the news to Mapa, who doesn't take it too well, but then decides that that is Pato's "puppy and she has to bathe him and feed him" (Colloquial for its your problem and you will deal with it not me). Pedro already told me he is moving out and now you are telling me that I will be a grandmother? Well, Pedro will be an uncle too and he looks excited!
Good, thanks God tomorrow is sunday and I will start a new life with Ricardo, who I am sure will chose me! Keep the dream alive, needy Esperanza!

Ricardo and his network of contacts. This time he calls Rentería to tell him that he has sent both the picture of Ernesto and Murillo threat to Kracy. BTW, its funny how Rentería thinks that since Murillo didn't actually kill Kracy, then there's nothing there to pursue. Really?

I took the liberty to change the lyrics of the theme song for something more accurate.
I thought Pedro and Anya could had also stayed with Esperanza while they get their own place, but Anya is smart and foresaw that Esperanza is a very unstable woman and that could spell trouble.
After Pedro and Anya get home (without any luggage) he sees that Ruperto the cat has eaten some of the flowers he brought for his loved one, and the girl tells him that this "trial" also includes the cat. Note to self: Buy canned tuna and catnip next time we do the grocery shopping.
It's nighttime and we need some comic relief after this hard day, right?
The "funny" scene shows Ricardo in the electric chair while the two tontas see which one of them will electrocute him. both do! Sadly, it was only a dream, or a nightmare, depending... He awakes.

To show the audience (who had been waiting for this moment for more than 120 episodes) why on earth these two tontas are so desperately trying to get into Ricardo's pants, he shows his torso. That's just a little tease. If that's the road, how will the little town be? (si así está el caminito, como estará el ranchito?)

It looked like Rebeca didn't say yes but left with the ring, too. Did I miss something? My excuse is that I was making dinner.
I found Ernesto's imitation and evaluation of Ricardo surprisingly true: Ricardo is "confused" by his feelings. He doesn't know what to do. Who should he choose? Why does his heart suffer so? Does it matter to him that he destroyed whole families and hurt his own kids? Was it worth it just to play with ther people's feelings? Why does everything have to revolve around Ricardo? Bravo, Ernesto!
It was corny, but I laughed at Ricardo's nightmare. We needed more scenes like that one.
I can't wait to see Felix's "baby".
I get to report on Ernesto's "surprise" for Ricardo on Monday. I cannot wait. Should be interesting.

Pablo, you my dear you are hilariously funny.This recap is more funny than serious. Even the murder didn't take the funny out. The ricky, Espy & christyV show Is the funniest. I've made no secret of the fact I wanted Espe with Ernie, but now that MY dream has totally evaporated, Ricardo must choose her.
Again, come on. This is going to end with Esperanza alone as her two children depart the hacienda? 20 years of "love" on Ricardo's part will culminate in him deciding on the pretty blone who will be able to bear children? If so, God help the children he and Cris already have. Agree Jarifa, Ernesto's assessment seems spot on.
I can't process what is going on with Ernesto. I have to see how this is all actually playing out to understand. Frustratingly Uni likely won't air this until after the finale.

Diana, I cannot wait for you to be able to see the rest of the episodes and I really appreciate you sticking with us eventhough you have to watch these all OnDemand whenever Uni decides to post them. Ernesto was soooo good last night lecturing Ricardo. I think you will enjoy that scene when you see it. Where this is headed I have no idea but I am also sorry that the writers are shoving Ernesto down the road of no return/the road to perdition so to speak. : ( It was so creepy when he said goodbye to his home and turned off the lights.
For the love of Jumex! I made a spectacle of myself reading your recap in public, Pablo! Oh how I laughed and howled! I don't know how you manage to churn these out week after week, but you are a comedy genius, amigow! :D

Against my better judgement and my immense dislike for Osorio's novelas, I decided to watch this show precisely because of Cris de la Fuente. Now I can't even stand to look at him. I know it's not the actor's fault, he is only doing his job, but my perception of his hawtness has hit zero. That's how much I can't stand Ricardolt.I've become totally immune to the pretty muscly package. Ernesto called him "ególatra" (an egomaniac) and I think that's a correct assessment. The guy is all ME, ME, ME! I was really surprised he was empathetic towards Kracy when she was on her deathbed. That was a shocker! Actually, Ric was kinder to a dying Kracy than he was to "the love of his life" when he thought she was at death's doors. Another thing that aggravates me is the only he treats Baxter. Aaaah, Baxter! The unsung hero of this tale! If CVV and Esperanza, the two tontas rogonas (undignified begging idiots), must absolutely fight over a man, it should be over Baxter.

Actually, Ric was kinder to a dying Kracy than he was to "the love of his life" when he thought she was at death's doors. Another thing that aggravates me is the only he treats Baxter. Aaaah, Baxter! The unsung hero of this tale! If CVV and Esperanza, the two tontas rogonas (undignified begging idiots), must absolutely fight over a man, it should be over Baxter.

All kidding aside though, Ernesto is right (and so was Rentería when Ricardolt kept yelling at him to arrest Ernesto). That recording proves nothing, no matter how solemn Murillo's voice sounds when it emphatically announces: "Tracy Kidman, I have come to kill you by orders of Ernesto de la Colina!" (Kracy Tidman! Tee hee)
The Anarasmo boda was waaaay better than the PatoLuca wedding of the century (I personally prefer traditional Mexican weddings anyway). However, I wish there was less dancing by the Osorio kid and more jaripeo stuff. "In the halftime show, Is one hit wonderboy Kiko's turn to prove he is a living miracle of Virgen de la Paz (...) Hijo de Niurka, Niurkito (hijo de tigre, pintito)" The kid could barely stand without his cane just a few days ago. Now he's a bad Micheal Jackson imitator! *Triple facepalm*
Jerónimo dodged a bullet. He is one of the VERY few good and decent men in Sueñolandia (along with Baxter, Rentería and Dr. Cutie Pie). That dreadful exotic dancer who can’t dance her way out of a paper bag is no good for him. And I can’t believe she ran away with the ring! Jero can do better. He’s a stand-up guy and he deserves a good woman. Where’s Irene (from Nueva Luz, the battered women’s shelter)? Ah, right, I remember now! Her salary and the salaries of the Three Stooges, Felicia the teacher, the deaf/mute neighbor, Homero and his grandma, La Sombra, Iker and all the extras of Colegio Vasconcelos have gone towards paying Marjorie de Sousa. The actress playing Anya got Kristel's salary. Paulo had to be killed off and Aranza had to have her role reduced to the bare minimum to pay for the weddings. Those talavera-inspired cakes don't come cheap!
"Even the board is speechless" I noticed that too. The board of optimistic soundbites can't stand what Esperanza has turned into.
Once again, Viviana is the last one to learn any new piece of information in Sueñolandia. Nobody bothered to tell her that PatoLuca have already started breeding and she is the grandma!

Jarifa, “Well, I guess somebody has to be the 1% ineffective if a pill is only 99% effective.” PatoLuca’s love is so miraculous it defeated the pill and will most certainly procreate quintuplets. It’s superhero love, the kind mere mortals like us can never comprehend.
Nina, "Erasmo and anastasia are the happiest two people on the show." I agree. They were forcefully put together in one of the most contrived meet-cutes and love stories I have ever seen but I have to admit that they look cute together and that I enjoy watching their scenes. The actors work better together. They are not as fake and sobreactuados (over-the-top actors) as PatoLuca and Anyedro.
Diana, "I can't process what is going on with Ernesto. I have to see how this is all actually playing out to understand." Me neither, to be honest. But some drooling idiot is writing this show with his feet and nothing, absolutely nothing makes sense! Osorio had the opportunity to make this compelling story about two lovers coming together in the face of life-threatening disease, learning to forgive and forget, discovering a new opportunity for love and a fresh start and he tossed it in the bin. Betty Monroe and Julián Gil had the caliber to pull off this storyline, even if it sounds sappy. Remember how much we loved their scenes together? How their will-they won't-they piqued our interest and kept us wondering what would happen between them? Osorio ruined it all, once again. He went for the silly clichés. The mustache-twirling villain does a last-ditch deviltry just so he can get to twirl his mustache and snigger one last time before the end credits roll. Nevertheless, in spite of the idiotic script, Julián Gil is spot on. You’ll love his scene with Ricardo when Looneyvision finally deigns to upload this episode online. You'll like the wedding too; it was fun.

I just saw two more episodes and hope you don’t mind my sharing my thoughts with you. Jarifa, it’s beyond frustrating that we can’t share this in real time.
The compatible chemistry between Cris and Ricardo continues to grow (despite my quiet and not so quiet) protests. Cris was clearly in mother mode, leading Ricardo’s children away from Tracy’s deathbed, as Esperanza clearly stood on the sidelines. Her kind ministrations to them afterward left no doubt that a family has already been formed. I know the writing is on the wall, but I'm turning my back to show my displeasure.
Children are forgiving beings, are they not? I readily admit, I did not understand their mourning of Paulo, an utterly abusive and reprehensible character. His classmates are far more charitable than I.
I loved Erasmo’s house! Can I live there please? And the ring in the box was fun.
Tracy’s goodby to her children was almost unwatchable. I hope in those final moments, she really felt the love she professed to her children. They have been subjected to far too much and no matter what happens, fear they will need years of analysis to live and function “normally”.
Ernesto’s return to the dark side is so unsettling. “I am also sorry that the writers are shoving Ernesto down the road of no return/the road to perdition so to speak” echoed my very thoughts Jarifa. It wasn’t bad enough that he and Esperanza never had the chance to build the incredible romance and life we know they could have, but to have him doing another Snidely Whiplash imitation (echoing what you noted Nandicta) of pure evil is just too much. Couldn’t they let him have quietly passed while he was still full of love for his children and Esperanza? They won’t even let us mourn him, they just want us to wish him gone.
I don’t need to question the direction the show has taken because your “some drooling idiot is writing this show with his feet “said it all Nandicta.

I laugh when I recap, Then I laugh when a review it before posting it and then I laugh again when you add all this stuff that I overlooked. This is great!
I was too busy the other day checking Ernesto's outfit (very outstanding all in black with glasses and shades specially when it was meant to pass unobserved), that I didn't hear Kiko's song in the guy's iPod. Hopefully that guy is being summoned to testify to justify the scene and not a mean to promote the boy's song! I think I heard Ricardo say he was going to look for witnesses, well. That's one right there!

Pablo, I don't know how I noticed that song. Maybe because reading your recaps all these months have made me pay more attention to little details. Or perhaps because the "key witness" was blasting that song at volume that would leave any regular human permanently deaf!

Nina, I totally agree with you about Ernesto.
For a brief (shining) time, he was kind, caring and loving and wanted the best for everyone without any selfish motivation.
But, yes, bitterness wrapped itself around his mind (and heart). It's such a shame the character will likely have a terrible ending.
But, Julian Gil can morph from an angel into a monster in 60 seconds flat. I never gave him the credit he deserved. But then again, this is the first time I saw him in a bit of a "good guy" role. I never realized how truly handsome he was until I saw that sweet smile and twinkle in his eye.
I have to take Tuesday off so there is a chance I might be able to watch this. I'm sorry it's not the finale but hopefully a few more threads might be tied up.
