Leon's main priority in his second opportunity so far is Lucia. He barely thinks of how his children are handling his death, they're basically an afterthought. Maybe he always neglected his kids? The scene where Guillermo asks his father if he knows what the topic of his thesis was about comes to mind. And he always seems to brush off Eva and her insecurities. Valentina seems to have gotten the most attention from him of the three, but she is the youngest child. Her alcohol abuse didn't happen overnight after his death though.

How bad is he going to feel when he realizes he prioritized this golddigger over his own family?

Eva is walking on eggshells with regards to her marriage. Her controlling and protective behavior indicates she's the eldest of the children. Otherwise Guillermo wouldn't be so nonchalant about the family business. Either way, Eva definitely has a good bs detector. Still can't believe no one investigated Lucia ever.

It's hard to sympathize at all with Lucia. Johnny was right about her being his accomplice. She wasn't part of the plan to murder Leon, but she certainly kept quiet about the murder. She will do jail time either way.
 

i fking died when beltran and alicia were talking to the other teacher. one thing u left out is that after he tells beltran he looks good, beltran said that he looked like a LAMP POST,LMAO.

the priest scene reminds me of LBYLB when Eman killed ricardo in the elevator and ricardo stood no chance cuz he was so much tinier than eman. xD
 

Anon thanks about the lamp post, that's funny. I do these in real time on the fly, and hate to admit it, but I miss stuff.
But it is nice to know that the patio always has my back.

Anon 11:27, it does seem like Leonchi’s main priority is his ho-wife, but maybe its because of the media...every time he watched television, the reports only focused on her...the talk show was dissing her; so That could be why he is more concerned about her at this point in time.

Anon 11:55, that is just too funny about the reference to the lamp post. “El Chino” definitely dislikes his new skinny body.
Funny you mention how the priest scene reminds you of LBYLB because in the opening credits, it shows Beltino shooting at someone. That little clip reminds me of when Emiliano shot Armando in LBYLB.

Arturo barba looks eight feet tall in general xD

The whole scene of him going back to the university was super comedic, I felt bad for the girl that was explaining stuff to the class, seems no one really likes her. While the other girl, Rosita is very VERY excited to go to class to see her fav professor.

All in all, nice recap!!
 

Thanks Kirby. Always love your irreverent sense of humor. Haven't seen this yet but happy to know that Lupita can really handle the bad guys when necessary. Will be very interesting to see how she manages to hook up with Leonchi again. There will be lots of explaining to do!

Thanks. Oh Boy, ignorance is bliss. If LeonChi only knew the truth about his demure, curvy smoking little grieving/not grieving wifey unit. He was so tender and sincere at the cemetary with the murderous little Ho. He had better be careful with the "He isn't really actually dead." number.

The first time Johny dirt sees that side of him there will be fireworks. Johny is just sickening all the way around with his 'so sweet even bees are suspicious' fakery with Guily and his swagger as though he is now the new Leon Carvajal. Puke.

Although Lucia supposedly (according to her shouting match) was not in on it, she is just as guilty of Johny when she does nothing after Johny Dirt has Leon killed. What do most girls do when their boyfriend kills their husband? Wait...you are not supposed to have both anyway, right?

Steve, Leonchi is a man in love who was probably made to think that Lucihowas an innocent victim (convinced by Luciho and JohnyBEvil). He is completely oblivious to the treachery and deceit that befell him. I’m just waiting to see what he does when he finds out they are lovers. I thought for sure he would notice something when they rushed out of the study. JohnyBEvil was calm and collected, but Luciho looked nervous and guilty as he**.

I’m at the “Luciho is just as guilty” table. I will be very disappointed if she is redeemed at the end and stays with the best of both Leon and El Chino,

So Eva's husband is for all intents worthless in the (we hopeo) investigation into Leon's murder.
When is she going to team up with the frumpy inspector and get the ball rolling? Johny-B-Evil is so smarmy and smug I can not wait to see the panic when people start sniffing around and he realizes he may not have hid his deeds as well as he thought he had.. Of course, he would not hesitate for a second to have another few people killed to protect himself.

And Lucia with her nightmares, graveside crying and shouting with Johny is cut from the same cloth. That is all for naught if that is all she does. You can make all the noise you want,but if there is no action, it is just noise.

In some ways Johnny did Lucia a favor by having Leon killed on his wedding night. It would be way too obvious if Lucia was the one who had him killed.

Mateo doesn't think Lucia did it, and he is right.

I don't hold Lucia up to the same level of guilt as Johnny. I don't think murder was ever on the agenda for her. Also, I think she cared for Leon a lot and ultimately wouldn't have gone through with any plan of Johnny's to steal money. She made bad choices and got herself stuck in the middle.

I'm surprised Johnny didn't go after the younger daughter for marriage. That way he could control her part of the company. Now he has to go through Lucia.
 

I too don't think Lucia has the same level of guilt Carvivlie. In fact I see her as a naive patsy of JohnyBad. I don't think he loves her; he pulls that ooey-gooey stuff on everybody including random secretaries when it advances his agenda. And he has a Big Agenda. I even think he could have written that "truth will out" note himself to scare Lucia into staying under his thumb. But she's just another pawn (albeit mighty tasty) in his Long Game.

Anon 11:27, I kept waiting for Leonchi to show a bit of interest in his own flesh and blood ever since he woke up in a new body. Aside from mentioning them once, in passing, he's been all about Lucia. Just another proof that he and the kids were not as close as he imagines (proof by the brief scene with Guil and his thesis subject).
Val is the most vulnerable right now and probably the first one that he'll get to help/ win on his side. Eva on the other hand... Claudia Martin is doing some great work here, I've only seen her in Sin tu mirada, where she was decent, but she really shines here - I see bright things in her future.

Judy, I've been thinking about how Chino's real family will get involved with the rest of the cast. Where would they live, could they somehow find work in the Carvajal house, too?

Carvivlie, I think Lucia is a puppet in Johhny's hands but also someone who would have been just fine being Leon's wife for the next two decades or so. Hopefully she does some heroic things down the line, otherwise she doesn't even deserve the ghost of old Leon (studly Leonchi is out of the question, of course).

Lucia may not be to the level of guilt as JohnyBEvil, but she isn’t too far behind. She knows what Johny did and she has heard him insinuate that he will kill Eva, yet she is still with him and supporting his deception. She is experiencing guilt and remorse...and that has not put a dent in her relationship with JohnyBEvil. What puzzles me is that when she is with JohnyBEvil, her body language and facial expressions are not those of a woman in love...so why is she allowing him to manipulate her and use her? Could it be that she is afraid of him? Does she not want to give up the lifestyle and attention that she will now have being the •Widow of México?”
 

OmGoodness, Adriana, I was reading and commenting on my phone so hadn't notice your updated pic. I just had to take a better look; your little one has grown quite a bit...and still as precious as ever!
 

If I was Lucia, I would ask Eva to buy me out of my shares of the company and house and run far away from Johnny and start a new life.
