Amar a Muerte, 11/13/2018, Episode 11: Revelations Lead to a Change of Plans OR Bring It On, Baby!

Leonchi is at the park walking and thinks about his discussion with Camilo. Meanwhile, Camilo drives along and thinks about what Leo told him…and how Leonchi wonders if Johny and Luciho were responsible for his murder (this must have been cut from the previous episode because I surely don’t remember Leonchi mentioning his murder. Back with Leonchi, he breathes heavily and walks when he sees Lady Death smiling at him, then she walks off in her short black dress.
Leonchi is at the park walking and thinks about his discussion with Camilo. Renata and Guil enter to see Castillo.
Nurse says he is very fragile and the doctors are doing everything they can.

Johny asks Luciho for Guil. After he tells
her Guil found that someone was embezzling money, he thinks he will work on
Guil to have another ally within the board.

Alicia chides Beltino since he had never
done anything before. Beltino tells her he is setting up an exercise system to
build up that sorry excuse of a body he has. When he tells Alicia to open up
her blouse a bit so he can get a good look, Amparo walks away embarrassed.
·
Lupita and Juli go to a bar. Lupita ask
for a job and tells the owner she has worked in bars for 10 years. After the
owner tells her he is looking for someone younger, she tells him she speaks
English. That was the clincher; so he will try her out for 1 week.
·
Luciho is giving orders and tells a girl
to tell Jaramillo to come to her office. Later, she complains to Johny about
all the lies being written about her. While Johny answers his phone, Luciho
plays a a paper figure of a bird as she has a flashback—she is talking to Leon
about birds. She likes them so much that when she dies, she would like to come
back as one. When Leon asks why she likes them, she replies that as a child she
always liked them and she wanted to fly off with them. Leon then runs off and
pretends to be a bird…making Luciho laugh. He shows her how to make an origami
figure and explains what origami is and makes her a bird. Flashback over, Johny
comes back and tell her he has to leave.

Leonchi walks around the building and
recalls seeing Johny and Luciho. Johny then approaches and tells him he wants
to see him in his office. Once in the office, Johny wants to make a couple
things clear. They aren’t sure how long Leonchi will be working for them since
employees have to have certain traits. Johny tells him he can’t be walking
around. When Leonchi remarks something about how Don Leon would handle things
differently, Johny snarls that Leon died; he is in charge now. Leonchi then
asks if Leon died or was he murdered. Johny ignores the question and tells him that
he is only to take Luciho from point A to point B and he should only converse
with her when necessary to do his job.

Luciho talks to Jaramillo and Pacheco. She
want advice as to how to counter all these bad things being written about her.
Pacheco, who is an editor, knows that the owner of magazine she read likes to women
who lead naughty life, especially the high-class ones. He also knows that the
publisher has a wife. When Luciho smirks and likes where he is going with the idea,
Jaramillo doesn’t like it and points out that Leon wouldn’t like it either. Luciho
reminds him that Leon is no longer there. She is in charge and this assignment
needs to stay among them only.

Renata and Guil are having coffee. Guil decides
he is going to tell her everything and recounts the whole ordeal. His idea was
to feel how it was to be in the shoes of someone who had nothing to do with his.
Renata is shocked. Guil explains that he tried to take the gun from his Toño,
but then Castillo took out his gun and shots were fired. Renata can’t believe
it and doesn’t know what to say. Guil knows they can charge him with murder. When
Renata tells him he wasn’t the one who shot the man and that he shouldn’t worry
since he is the son of León Carvajal, Guil doesn’t care who he is…he only cares
about the man. Guil tells Renata that he needs her help…he has no one else to
turn to.

Susana shows Mateo the article she wrote
and how Johny changed it completely. Susana wants to go confront Johny, but Mateo
and Gastón tell her it’s not a good idea. Mat reads the article which endorses
Sanchez-Bueno.
·
Alacran is told there is a problem…there
is someone who is snooping around and knows they are there. Alacran reminds him
no one should know they are in Mexico. If an outsider suspects they are there, he
should be take care of.
·
Renata agrees to help Guil and asks why he
went along with his friend. Guil didn’t know what Toño was going to do; he just
wanted to do something to make him feel “real.” Ren tells him it’s funny
because she wants the exact opposite. She spills something and he gives her a
handkerchief. She is surprised –she knows of no young person who uses a hankie.
He tells her it was one of his father’s customs.

Lupita tells Juli that the first thing they
will do when she gets paid is buy Juli some tennis shoes. As they talk, Panchito
shows up and wants to take a walk with Lupita so they can talk.
·
Juli walks alone and sees Emi sitting
alone and drinking. When she asks Val if she is ok, Val snaps that she needs to
be alone. Juli tells her she saw her earlier fighting with her bf and thought
she might need help. As she starts to walk away, Val apologizes and thinks her
as she cries; so Juli asks her what is wrong. After Val complains that she just
doesn’t understand men…they must be from another planet (Mars??), Juli tells
her that she likes her clothes. Val looks at Juli and tells her she has style,
too and money is not everything. Val then comments that she doesn’t care about
money; so Juli tells her to give her all the money she has...but she’s just joking.
Val laughs and introduces herself.

Leonchi is sitting in the car as he
recalls being at a balcony with Luc…they toast to the man who is perfect and who
she always dreamed of. Just then Luciho approaches and tells him she knows it
is probably a woman who has upset him. She then tells him to drive her to a
store.
·
Panchito tells Lupita he just wanted to
see if she was ok. He couldn’t talk to her before because his wife is very jealous.
He thinks life has brought them back together. Lady tells them het his visit is
taking to o long.
·
Luciho asks Leonchi if his problem is with
his girlfriend or his wife. Leonchi tells her it’s not about a woman. When he
then tells her that Johny has ordered him not to talk to her unless it was
about business. Luc reminds him that she hired him, but Leonchi tells him Johny
was quite firm and clear. Luciho knows she hasn’t done anything to make him
angry, but she could swear that the woman he is upset at is her (Bingo, you
little wench!)
Homestretch—Part 3 of 3

Gastón meets with bald informant who has
valuable info for him. When the informant emphasizes “VERY valuable,” Gastón
gives him some money; so informant tells him that Alacrán is in town and gives
him an address. As they talk, Alacrán’s goons watch from the bar. The informant
then tells Gastón that they need to be careful because he fears they could be followed
(turn around, you nut!)

At the company, Mateo tells Eva that Johny
is doing whatever he wants with the newspaper. He tells her about the article
and how Johny changed it to commend Sanchez-Bueno. Eva thnks they need to come
up with some way to stop Johny.

Inspector goes to talk to Johny and tells
him that they suspect that Leon’s murderer works there.
·
Luciho is inside a boutique trying on
dresses as Leonchi watches from outside. When she summons Leonchi to come in, he
tells her he needs to keep an eye on the car. She tells him not to worry about the
car and asks what he thinks of the dress, but Leonchi reminds her that he needs
to consider what Johny told him. Luciho then tells him to relax and sit down.
She asks for his opinion about the black dress; so he tells her the top is too
low-cut and revealing. Luciho sighs because she is tired of wearing black for
mourning and asks for the red dress.

Juls and Val continue talking. Val feels
that people are not sincere and Juli agrees. Val thinks her friends must be
tired of her because she is always so depressed. They then go have burgers. As Val
is about to get money from her purse to pay, she sees her flask and her mood
turns somber. When Juli asks what’s wrong, Val quickly says that she has to go.

At the bar, Alacran’s henchies grab the informant
who is on his way to the men’s room and they beat him up. As they leave, a
woman sees the informant and screams; so Gastón runs over and sees a paper
beside the informant with a message: “I was killed for being a whistleblower.”
·
Luciho comes out in the red dress and asks
Leonchi if he likes it. When he tells her it looks good and brings out her
eyes; she tells him that is exactly what León would have said. After Leonchi
says it looks dangerous, she asks him to help with zipper…to lower it….waaay
down, as low as you can go!
·
Driving back to the mansion, Luciho asks Leonchi
for his opinion about the article…she is sure he read it. He tells her she must
have done something to make them write those things; so she responds that the
rich can’t forgive where she came from…and that she married to richest man in
Mexico. Leonchi then asks if she is able to sleep in peace at night (or does
her conscience not let her sleep) after her husband’s murder; and replies that
she does. After he tells her that she shouldn’t worry then since she supposedly
had nothing to do with it, Luciho considers his comment disrespectful and tells
him to be careful or she will have him replaced.

Gastón and Mateo are outside the bar as
the informant is being placed in the ambulance. Just then the Inspector comes
and asks what Gastón was up to; so Gastón tells him he was just doing his job and
getting some info. After the Inspector leaves, Mateo reminds Gastón that he
warned him to be careful…and there’s probably still henchies around.
Luciho and Leonchi arrive at the mansion.
As she starts to walk in, Leonchi takes her the shopping bags and apologize…he
didn’t mean to make her uncomfortable. Things get heated after Leonchi tells
Luciho that she can’t live the rest of her life mourning…and that she should be
able to take any man she wants to bed. After she reminds him that she is the
employer and he is the employee, he reminds her that she is a woman and he is a
man…she tells him not to cross the line. He grabs her as he tells her that
these things happen between men and women…yup, they do…especially when one
party was obviously leads the other one on!

They have not really shown us how Luciho set the hook and reeled Leon in, only the falling in luuuurve (for him) romantic flashbacks.
But we can be assured she was on steroids compared to what we are seeing with Blue Eyes and her zipper, not taking "no" for an answer, all the while closely following a script supplied by Johny.
And from those flashbacks it appears she did feel something, and for obscure reasons, has some remorse, but she is still just a cheap two bit Ho.
For Leon to see so graphically what she really is, is good, in that it will ensure that he lives in a secret rage as he plots his revenge.

Lucia coming on to ole Blue Eyes actually makes sense.
Look at it from her point of view: Johny treats her strictly as a possession or 'tool', so to speak, to be used in accomplishing his agenda.
I am sure she understands that as soon as he no longer needs her he would happily jettison her by whatever means necessary.
And she knows he had no qualms about her seducing, sleeping with, and marrying Leon as part of Johny's grander plan, so in her world, Johny should have no problem with her having a bit of harmless fun with the car driver.
Of course Johny will, because an asset like Lucia must be guarded at all cost, not out of love or even lust, but pure self centered greed and selfishness.

Ghost, yes, it does make sense, but what a disappointment to Leon that she is such a big HO.
What makes me roll my eyes is that she gets pissed off with all the articles that dis her...well the truth hurts, w(B)eyotch!

Rgv Chick--This comes at the right time for me. With a cup of coffe and a sit down between bouts with laundry, raking leaves and sorting empty glass jars and bags of toiletries from my dear departed friend's house, I needed the distraction. Thank you for the recap. I got to recall two of my favorite Hack-o-bo scenes with Luciho. I think, IMHO, that at the end, Leonchi decided to make nice with her and start putting doubts in her head about Johny--and reconquer her in the process.
This is pure speculation, but I wonder--really wonder--if all her flashbacks of good times with Leon aren't the real thing and she is using Johny. Of course, if Leon had lived she would have had a hard time explaining how it was she got information off him that he was ripping off the company. So--throw out Crockpot Theory #1.

What we DON'T know is whether she and Johny were an item before she hooked up with Leon and was in on the plot from the very beginning.
We did get a short version of "poor" Luci getting a job as a receptionist at Carvajal and not only did she go after Leon, he was attracted to her almost immediately. He fell pretty hard for her. Luci could have gone after Guille, who is closer to her own age, but I think she already pegged him as a loser. Leon was viril, powerful and could immediately give her all the things she had lacked as a child--love and security and THINGS. What she couldn't get was respect. Leon was smitten enough to disregard that.

Thanks Rgv Chick. I thought you were getting a night off and Princess Juju was doing Tuesday nights. Well anyway, another sizzling episode with strange coincidences. Can't imagine what Valentina would be doing in a barrio where Juli and her mom have a cuchitril of a room rented, but ni modo. The friendship has begun. Glad poor hungry Juli got a hamburguesa out of it at least.
And oh my, nobody can rock a sheath dress like Angelique. And then asking Leonchi to unzip her. Have Mercy! I will have to adjust the recording time on my DVR because I keep missing the last few minutes. And obviously they were very important. Sure glad for the recap, Rgv Chick. Much appreciated.

Anita, I don't recall Mateo having a conversation with Barretos about money laundering, but if he did, he probably thinks it would have been Johny and would have certainly told Eva. This would have alerted Eva that someone was conducting an investigation that would lead to her.
I'm pulling up my chair at the table that thinks Luciho really did have some type of feeling for Leon. Was it love? Maybe, but not the "I'm so in luuurve" type; probably more of a "You're my sweet sugar daddy who makes me feel like a princess" type.

RGV, yes, about a week ago, it was LuciHo's secrertary, who looks a lot like a 'not so made up' Susanna the reporter. She had on a coral blue dress, and JohniHo scolded her for letting a small thing happen without telling him. His words were "That's what I have you here for." She looked to be flattered that he even acknowledged that she existed.
What I see in the flashbacks was more of an affection, thingy rather than a burning throbbin luuuurve for Leon 1.0.

Kirby, I did notice that smile and short dress on Lady Death! Maybe she is as smitten with those baby blues as several of us are;-)
Yeah, it would be a hard choice between her and LuciHo. If that were my two choices I would throw myself into one of those road crew chipper shredders that the tree people have.
