FUGITIVAS #35 Part 1

After Arturo’s unexpected and unpleasant visit, Alejandro’s nightmarish evening has just begun. His doorbell rings yet again and it’s an assortment of spirits; some good, some evil; Ismael, Nicolas, Amanda and other police. As Nicolas goes toward Alejandro’s computer, Ale steps up and grabs it back…Ismael intervenes and puts his hand out for the computer…

Amanda takes the opportunity to rather relish what is going on.

The thug guarding Vilchis calls his boss, who is just as we suspected, Arturo.

Marta and Lorena talk after which Marta envelopes her with a hug.

Alejandro’s bedroom is now being ransacked and his dresser drawer forced open. There are mementos from his grandmother but nothing pertaining to the case it seems. Alejandro gives Amanda the stink eye.

Gabriela talks with Arturo.

Finally the search is over and Ismael gathers the troops and leaves. Amanda literally bares her fangs at Alejandro.

“Nada” Amanda angrily says to Ismael. I take that to mean they didn’t find anything of particular pertinence to the case.

Arturo meets with a man who is going to interview him on live TV.

Gabriela comes home and Vincente is on the computer. She asks if he has seen the latest on his father he says no; she shows him the article. He seems to turn a bit nasty when she questions his father; he then brings up Lorena. He may loathe his father but doesn’t seem to appreciate any criticism of him.

The fugitivas turn on the TV and Arturo is being interviewed. I understood little. He badmouths Alejandro and of course Lorena saying they are maligning him when Lorena is the real murderer of Juan Pablo. He denies any involvement with Claudio Vilchis (liar). Montse curses Arturo and Frida hugs Lorena as she cries.

FUGITIVAS #35 Part 2

Alejandro curses Arturo to himself…Nicolas and Amanda talk and he gives her a very inappropriate (and inexplicable) bear hug much to her consternation.

Back to Gabriela and Vincente who are watching Arturo’s interview. Arturo texts Gabriela that they should come to the house.

The thug attacks and beats up the man who (I think) was working with Alejandro on the case.

Ismael tells Patricio they went to Alejandro’s apartment to search for any information pertaining to Lorena. Anything they find of value will be used to discredit Alejandro; then Lorena will be on her own. Ismael seems coldly happy at this prospect.

Ester tells Frida about her conversation with Patricio and Frida is happy for her. She pushes the phone toward her but when she won’t take it, Frida picks it up and she texts something to Patricio.

Lisset greets Arturo as the doorbell rings; it’s Gabriela and Vincente. Charo greets them (actually smiling) as Lisset makes herself scarce. Arturo hugs Gaby and is as effusive in greeting his son who is clearly uncomfortable. Vincente tells him about his job. Arturo takes Gabriela’s hand who in turn grabs Vincente’s in her other. Vincente is uncomfortable and she tells him to be calm.

The man who was badly beaten calls Alejandro.

Wormtongue Arturo seems to try and brainwash Gabriela into thinking that Lorena was Juan Pablo’s killer and further, had Vilchis beaten to a pulp. Lisset listens to this malarky shaking her head to herself. I believe he says he isn’t capable of hurting anyone. At one point, Gabriela gets upset and she starts to cry. Vincente watches but does nothing but stare.

Lorena is on her phone reading articles about herself looking despondent.

Vincente brings Gabriela a glass of water. He tells Vincente this is his home and says the same to Gabi. He kisses Gabi on the cheek but smirks the second his back is to them.

Patricio gets the text from Marta (Frida) and smiles. Unfortunately Amanda is there, grabs the phone and reads it, saying “Marta??”

FUGITIVAS #35 Part 3 of 3

Dario is on his computer reading an article about Lorena and is just going to see her picture when Matias comes in and interrupts him. (Now that Lorena’s picture is being plastered all over the news, how long will she be able to escape detection??)

Amanda starts yelling at her father the same old, same old, that Lorena is a killer…blah, blah.

Lisset spills all she overheard to Lorena, Frida and Montse.

Vero pours herself a stiff drink and talks with a man who seems to be reporting something. (Can someone kindly tell me who this was - is she paying someone to shadow Nicolas??) In any event, next she calls Nicolas, who is home stuffing his face watching a game. Annoyed, he calls Flor and she answers asking what he wants. He complains about Vero when Ismael comes in and she hangs up quickly. Nico texts her and she smiles.

Vincente and Gabriela show up at Vilchis’ room as the thug looks on. Gabriela introduces herself as Lorena’s sister; Vilchis gets apoplectic, coughing and demanding she leave.

Ismael and Florencia have dinner and discuss Arturo…

Alejandro makes a surprise appearance at the bar where Erick greets him. Lorena seems shocked to see him; he smiles at her appearance. He follows her to talk privately.

Vilchis tells his sister Lorena’s sister visited him. He looks as though he’s on death’s door. The thug comes in to threaten and intimidate.

Alejandro tells Lorena he believes in her innocence and vows to exonerate her; as the music plays, they give into their feelings and kiss…

I apologize for the gaps but there was much I couldn’t understand…

Arturo tells the thug guarding Vilchis to give Quiroga a lesson but not to go overboard. He doesn't want to cause more of a stir. (Quiroga is the journalist who wrote the article against him for the Vanguardia magazine)

Marta is clearly angry when she tells Lorena that she found out from Patricio that Lorena called Ismael. They tried to trace her call. Lorena admits she never thought about the risk she was putting them all at. Of course, Marta ends up forgiving her bad judgment but calls her naive when it comes to Ismael. Lorena is out of hope. Marta tells her that the day will come when the Marquez' will pay for everything they have done to her.

Gabriela tells Arturo that she read what was written about him and is bewildered. She cannot believe he did everything they accused him of. He is upset with how he has been defamed. He has no time now but will meet with her to talk about it all later at his house.

The TV host warns Arturo that he is going to ask him some difficult questions. Arturo assures him he is ready for them. As the interview starts, Arturo agrees that he is there to defend himself against the allegations Alejandro Castillo, Lorena the fugitive's lawyer, has made against him on the Elisa Solorio Show. He accused him of being behind JP's murder. He insists that is outrageous since JP was like a son to him. Alejandro has no evidence against him while, on the other hand, Lorena was found guilty of the murder and sentenced due to all of the evidence against her. Arturo had only a work relationship with Lorena. She did a very good job as an executive secretary. She organized the company's anniversary where JP died all by herself. That is why it didn't surprise him that she killed him. She knew the logistics of the whole event and took advantage of the moment to kill him when everyone was distracted. The TV host reminds him that Alejandro said in the Quiroga article that there were many irregularities in Lorena's trial. For example, they didn't find Lorena's fingerprints on the murder weapon. They also used bank deposit receipts with altered dates as evidence. Arturo asks him and his audience if they really believe that a bank could give proof of a deposit with dates that didn't match.
The TV host agrees that the issue is very complicated but that doesn't mean that it couldn't happen. The TV host mentions that the director of the bank is named Claudio Vilchis and asks Arturo if hat is right. Arturo claims to know nothing about a Vilchis. Arturo cannot understand why Alejandro hates him so much. He adds that Alejandro has never done a relevant thing in his whole career. He is only a public defender. He thinks Alejandro is representing Lorena just to be recognized for doing something; to feed his own ego. Arturo reminds the TV host that there is no evidence against him. Alejandro wants to turn him into the guilty party based on pure suspicion. He adds that the day that Alejandro can prove one of his theories, he will be the first one to invite the authorities to review Lorena's case. Until then, all Alejandro is doing is making himself the center of attention.

Quiroga calls Alejandro about the beating and wants to fight back. Alejandro warns him he could end up dead and that they should let sleeping dogs lie for now at least.

It does look like Vero has hired a private eye to follow Nico. Nico tells Flo he cannot continue to be with Vero. She tells him that is the only way she can continue with him. Nico ends up giving in.

Flo asks Ismael if he can do something because Alejandro has gone over the top with his accusations against her father. Ismael says no, he can't. Her father should have sued Alejandro and not gotten into a media fight with him.

The fugitivas decide to change their look to disguise/protect themselves even more.

Jarifa, thank you for explaining so much so splendidly...

Too much time elapsed since the last episode aired and I failed to remember who Quirogo was.

"Marta ends up forgiving her bad judgment but calls her naive when it comes to Ismael" is an understatement. Ismael seems too shrewd to truly believe Lorena is guilty so perhaps he is trying to convince himself so he can disengage.

Gabriela "cannot believe he did everything they accused him of"?? Arturo really has her snowed! He is so off base about Alejandro as well who is no showman and is hardly the type to crave the limelight.

Translating Artuto's (false) testimony was so helpful. "For example, they didn't find Lorena's fingerprints on the murder weapon. They also used bank deposit receipts with altered dates as evidence" scream that Lorena was framed. These should speak for themselves but sadly...

So Vero did hire a private eye to shadow Nico! I admit I'm surprised and a bit impressed. I believe Susan speculated a while ago Vero might be the killer. I didn't think so at the time but she is craftier than I gave her credit for...

I can't wait to see the fugitivas new "luke". :)

Diana, the fugitivas are sporting their new look already: it is just more extreme makeup to help hide their faces. Go figure! As for “the private detective”I am thinking who/what else could it be. ??? Amanda was a pain again this time about Marta. What a miserable person! Is she ever happy?

Jarifa, I thought they might ditch the colorful wigs for less flashy ones to "blend" in a bit more. Yes, the makeup appeared to be applied with a trowel, didn't it?? :) LOL...I think it draws attention rather than diverts it but what do I know???

I think it has to be a private detective but I'm finding this very intriguing.

Amanda is miserable AND vindictive. I'm hoping for a change down the line, if only because she is Patricio's daughter. :(

Juana # 31 part 1

Gabriel is saying it’s it’s son. The family, the wants him gone. David and the detectives are holding him back. Juana says it’s not your baby and never will be, it’s mine.

At the hospital Rogelio is saying he never wanted the marriage to happen. Aparo tells him Paula did.

Camila is questioning one of the chauffeurs about Gabriel’s whereabouts. He doesn’t know, she finds that hard to believe. She then tells Manuel Paula is really bad and it’s Gabriel’s fault. She’s sure Gabriel is with Juana. She tells him Paula needs to leave Gabriel or she’ll spend the rest of her life miserable living with a guy that doesn’t love her. Manuel can’t believe Juana is having his Gabriel’s baby. But otherwise he looks like a deer in the headlights, as usual.

Juana is crying in David’s arms. Enriqueta says something and Felipe tells her it’s a family matter, she leaves. Josefina ends the party.

Enriqueta calls Carlos and tells him what happened. Ramon would like to help, Josefina tells him to go with the daughter he didn’t abandon.

Rogelio tells Manuel he wants to ruin Gabriel, he has someone to buy some shares. Manuel mentions the bacteria. It seems he thinks that didn’t work and they should stop.

The detectives have Gabriel at the police station. Salcador telks Gabriel three things, you love Juana, you’re the father of her baby and she doesn’t believe you love her.

The family doesn’t understand why Gabriel said he was the father of the baby, Juana tells them. She really feels he was nice to her just because of the baby.

Camila calls Carlos to find out where Gabriel is. She tells him Paula is really bad. He says she was at Juana’s.

Enriqueta comes to get Gabriel. She’s spoken to a lawyer. Pacheco says he was never arrested, they took him because he was acting crazy. The family, and David and Dani, sing happy birthday. David mentions Gabriel is obsessed with having a baby. Josefina feels he can use his money to take the baby.

Ramon tells Margarita he was proud of Felipe defending his niece. Ramon saw Margarita’s interest in the detective.

Gabriel is blaming Paula for provoking Paula. Camila denies it. Carlos doesn’t think she did anything.

The family, David and Dani are having cake. Josefina feels Gabriel will use his influence to get the baby from Juana. Juana thinks the best thing is for her to disappear. She’ll go tomorrow morning.

Paula is telling Carlos and Enriqueta that Gabriel was very unjust when the only thing she wants is for the two of them to be ok. She leaves and Enriqueta and Carlos talk about how they’re worried about Gabriel.

Felipe asks David if Enriqueta knew about Gabriel. He doesn’t know. Felipe thinks back to Enriqueta asking him about the father.

Rogelio arrives at Camila’s. She asks how Paula is. For Gabriel’s sake he hopes Paula recuperates He starts kissing her. She says no. He throws her on the couch. She flashbacks to her dad and yells, dad, no. She gets away and grabs something, a candlestick, and threatens to kill him.

Liz, thank you for a great report as we tumble forward with accusations and misunderstandings . Things are heating up and getting more complicated.

Camila threatening Creepy MacCreeperson with that candlestick really shocked him . I was surprised he didn't go after her, but maybe he sensed that she could take him in a physical fight. The actress looked scary. Have the tables turned .? Does Cami know that Rog killed Francisco? ( p.s.autocorrect changed Rog to Dog....it's not wrong.)

Sal was very analytical as he set out 1,2,3 to Gabriel about what is happening.

What was up with Nick hugging Amanda ,who seemed as surprised as I was . Nicky is icky, but I like the actor.

Vero is very annoying , and she doesn't seem to be missing JP much in her fevered pursuit of smarmy Nick.

I am surprised the reporter is willing to keep going after Art after that terrible beating, and Vilchis is being terrified in the hospital. We need a hero . It has to be Ale , but I think Patricio will see the truth and eventually help Lorena and Ale.I love a good team that supports the galan. Eric has proven to be a good guy, and Vicente is being reformed Susan
 

Juana #31 part 2

David is telling Susy he won’t be in to work. Ricardo overhears and asks if he’s sick. No, he’s helping Juana. Ricardo tells him he’s risking his job and his friendship with Gabriel.

Juana is packing and telling Jenny how she’ll miss their talks.

Jaime Prado is greeted by Carlos. He was expecting to deal with Gabriel. He wants to help with the debts of the business by buying shares. Carlos says Gabriel won’t sell them. Jaime leaves and calls Rogelio, apparently they’re working together. He tells Rogelio the business can be ruined and asks if that’s what he wants. Rogelio replies yes, but that Gabriel has always been lucky.

Inez reminds Gabriel of a meeting and asks how Paula is Carlos comes and also asks about Paula. in he tells him what Jaime wanted. Gabriel says he won’t sell, he’d be selling the legacy of his family. Carlos suspects Rogelio but Gabriel says they have no reason to suspect him.

Paula tells her mother she wants to go home. Why is she still here, she’s not sick. Where is Gabriel? The artificial insemination didn’t work but why does everyone look so worried?

Jenny brings Ramon and Margarita in the house. He wants to see his granddaughter. Josefina says it’s Juana to you. He tells Juana she’s the daughter of his princess and so is important to him. He wants to help

Gabriel tells Carlos he doesn’t want Astro taking over their company. He wants Juana to know he had feelings for her before he knew the baby was his.

The detectives are talking about Gabriel loving Juana. And how Paula was yelling at them when they came to the house the day of questioning him.

Margarita tells Josefina and Felipe. that her mother never told Ramon she was pregnant. They never lived together. She didn’t tell him until she got sick and needed someone to take care of Margarita. Ramon had never left her side since he began to care for her. They have every right to dislike him but he spoke Ofer of them. Always good things
Dani arrives. Jenny tells her they’re all sad Ramon tells Juana he ran away and it wasn’t a good solution. He tells her to talk to Gabriel as he’s the only one that really knows how he feels.

Carlos questions Rogelio on why Jaime knew what’s going on in their business. He told him he has no confidence or trust in him, you work to save a business, not lose it.

Jenny is showing Ramon and Margarita her gift from Salvador and mentions how nice he is. Margarita asks who the other detective is Jenny tells her Pacheco. Ramon says “under the moon, sun and stars”. Don’t know what that means.

David shows up willing to take her to Australia etc. Felipe is upset that she has to leave. Gabriel shows up wanting to talk to Juana. Ramon agrees, Juana should talk to him. Margarita tells him not to meddle. Juana wants to talk to him alone. The others don’t think she should be alone with him but Ramon says she’s grown. Everyone else goes outside. Outside Josefina says Juana shouldn’t be alone with Gabriel. Felipe says then why take advice from the father of that…. Margarita says I have a name. Felipe wants to go in the house. Ramon puts his hand on Felipe’s shoulder and calls him “son”. Felipe pushes Ramon down.

Gabriel is telling Juana he felt something special for her from the first time he saw her. Juana says you had a wife and why didn’t you tell me you were the father. He replies that she always said she didn’t want to know the father. Gabriel reminds her of all the times they were together before he knew. That was all real, the kiss was real. He tells her he loves her and they look like they’re going to kiss.

I hope we've seen the last of Ester - Adios, you will NOT be missed! :)

The "hug" was something completely out of character for Nicolas especially because if he has any relationship with Amanda at all, it seems to be adversarial. His making it a public display, definitely means something. I hope we find out what tonight.

Thanks Susan. We’re almost halfway through so maybe people, like Gabriel, will start getting suspicious of someone like Rogelio. And Carlos shouldn’t dismiss Gabriel’s concerns about Camila. Camila telling Manuel that Paula needed to divorce Gabriel was probably her way of thinking Gabriel will be free for her. I doubt he’d ever consider her. She was scary when she turned on Rogelio. I bet he starts investigating her past. I don’t think she knows he killed Francisco, but I would think she’d suspect it.
Kat was right, Margarita and Pacheco are interested in each other. That leaves Dani stuck with David, who suddenly considers himself part of the family. She deserves better. I guess he’ll change by the end.

FUGITIVAS #36 Part 1

Alejandro tells Lorena he believes in her innocence and vows to exonerate her; as the music plays, they lean in and although initially hesitant, give into their feelings and kiss…They then pull back but yield to the moment once again.

Alejandro asks Lorena for an opportunity but she shakes her head. Is it Ismael he asks? No she answers gravely, she is planning to leave…

Sad Gabriela cries about Lorena to Vincente. Lorena is a good person she tells Vincente with conviction. To his credit, Vincente tells her she isn’t alone.

Lorena blames herself for what’s happened to her friends. She strokes Alejandro’s face as he disagrees with her. She talks about Arturo and says Ale isn’t her lawyer and tomorrow, she is leaving. Alejandro is resigned; he pulls out his wallet and gives her some money. They kiss passionately as she wraps her arms around him.

Carmen is back! She meets with a woman and tells her about her and Dario’s problems. I believe the woman owns a beauty salon as mani and pedi are mentioned. Looks like the friend is going to help her out.

Outside, Alejandro gets on his cycle looking devastated. He dons his helmet and with one final look, drives away.

Lorena talks with Marta who seems shocked by her Cleopatra makeup. She tells Marta she is going; to where Marta asks as she puts her hand caringly on her face. Both are in tears at their inevitable parting. Marta tells her “te quiero mucho”. They hug as tears stream down Lorena’s cheeks.

Alejandro arrives home and is being watched. He sees he is being observed.

Lorena sits down to write her goodbye letters. Montse, Lisset and Frida come in, Marta watching with a serious expression. Lorena does not share her plans with them.

Alejandro calls Arturo and reams him out about Lorena and Quiroga. He tells him he knows Florencia was the amante of Juan Pablo. He threatens him – if he doesn’t cooperate his daughter will suffer the consequences.

FUGITIVAS #36 Part 2

As the girls’ sleep, Lorena arises, bags packed and leaves two letters – one for them and one for Gabriela. She blows them a kiss and quietly leaves.

Alejandro takes off on his cycle with the bad guy in pursuit. He turns down a path cars can’t travel and turns and waves to his frustrated pursuer.

Lorena is walking down the street when Alejandro pulls his cycle directly in front of her. He alights and tells her he cares about her and they kiss.

Ismael comes home to yet another meal prepared by Florencia. She tells him her relationship with him is the most important thing in the world. Gag me. Butter melts in her mouth as it appears Ismael is believing every word.

Gabriela talks to Vincente again about Lorena.

Vero comes into Florencia’s office thrusting an envelope out at her. “It’s important” Vero says lip quivering. Florencia pulls out a dozen photographs, flipping through them seemingly not in the least bit interested. Ahhh, it’s pictures of Nicolas; WITH Amanda!! NOW we know why he awkwardly hugged Amanda; it was staged so the “incriminating” pictures could be taken and presented to Vero showing the “other” woman! Florencia smirks as she hands them over to a shocked, very unhappy Vero. Vero seems to be more than aware of who Amanda is.

Patricio texts Marta as Dario comes in, smiling to see his mother so happy.

Florencia calls Nicolas preening about how successful her plan was; they laugh and cackle at Vero’s discomfort.

Frida and Montse return to the bedroom and find Lorena’s letters. Dearest amigas, she starts. I believe she cites not wanting to involve/hurt Mara or Dario. She is leaving – forever. Marta later joins them and comforts them telling them Lorena made her decision…she envelopes the girls in a hug.

FUGITIVAS #36 Part 3

Patricio meets with Ismael. Marta texts him and he smiles. When Ismael asks who it is, he tells Ismael it’s a friend of his (true enough). Patricio then goes into Nicolas’ office and (I believe) asks for the material taken from Alejandro’s office.

Montse and Frida discuss Arturo and Lorena. Erick comes in and is startled to learn Lorena left. Montse holds out the letter left for Gabriela. Erick will take care of it.

Lorena is firmly ensconced on the back of Alejandro’s motorcycle as they roar down the road.

Lisset gets the text that Lorena has left and Frida tells her about the note. Lisset has to hang up when the annoying Charo enters going on about the no texting rule.

Bonnie and Clyde stop for a bite to eat. Lorena is worried about all the potential problems they face. A kiss makes it a bit better.

“Gabriela?” Erick asks as he sees her. I am a friend of your sister he asserts. She doesn’t want to take the note but finally does. He shakes his head goodbye and takes his leave. Gabriela goes into the apartment and puts the note on the table and doesn’t read it!

Carmen’s friend greets her at her salon and brings her over to one of the stations…I got the impression it was as a client…

Gabriela enters Shelob’s err, Florencia’s lair. Oh no she wants to talk to her about something personal. She is confused about Lorena. She tells her about going to the hospital to see Vilchis. Florencia pretends to be warm and caring. She says Lorena is a good person and Flor responds she, Gabriela is the good person. Flor tells her she isn’t alone, she has her, Vincente and Arturo! She lays it on thick, hugging her and rubbing her back. Later she tells her to go home and take care of herself. She again stresses Gabriela isn’t alone but exhales as soon as she leaves.

FUGITIVAS #36 Part 4 of 4

Alejandro appears to gain entrance to a cabin by jumping in a window. He tells Lorena it’s his grandfather’s cabin. Oh, and that he loves her! They kiss and look happy.

Dario is happy Marta has prepared salsa fixings as he greets Frida. Frida tells him Lorena left…they kiss and Matias opens the door and upon seeing them, is open mouthed impactada.

Patricio is going through Alejandro’s things and lo and behold holds up pictures of the cabin Ale and Lorena are in!

A man with a gun is outside the cabin and sensing activity inside, rushes in, gun drawn!

Kindly let me know what I missed or misinterpreted…

Poor Matías gets another surprise. How long until Carmen pops up back at Darío's? She cannot be gone for good since she has not disappeared for good If only . . .

EXTRAS
Lorena tells Alejandro that she is leaving town to not put her friends at risk any longer. She is planning on taking several buses to get to Guatemala. She agrees to contact Alejandro once she is settled.

Marta doesn't try to talk Lorena out of leaving also realizing that given her situation, leaving town is the best thing for her to do.

Lorena refuses to talk to Montse, Lisset and Frida because she knows they will try to talk her out of going.

Alejandro can't let Lorena go alone. Her taking a bus to Chiapas is far too risky. He is going with her. He has been with her from the start and will stick with her until the end no matter what happens. He is going to take her to a safe place where nobody will find them.

Nico tells Patricio that they found no evidence against Alejandro/info on Lorena from what they took from his place. Patricio insists on going over everything himself. Yup, Pat loathes Nico as it is. Wait until that picture comes to his attention.

I think the man at the end with a gun might be a caretaker or neighbor. He seemed protective. Yes, he is usually always plays a bad guy.

Once Ismael and Amanda realize Lorena AND Alejandro have flown the coop, they will likely be in hot pursuit. We've already seen Patricio looking at the picture of the cabin so that little hideaway has already been revealed.

FUGITIVAS #37 Part 1

Alejandro has aided and abetted Lorena by helping her flee, taking her to his grandfather’s cabin. As they settle in, a man is outside and suspiciously sensing activity in the cabin, rushes in, rifle drawn, pointed at the intruders!

Alejandro tells the man to relax and the man immediately smiles and the men embrace; the man is his tio. I don’t think Ale is forthcoming about why he is there but says they will be there a few days. Alejandro and Lorena look happy to be together and she puts her arms around him and hugs him.

Elsewhere, Frida and Dario laugh and break apart just before Marta comes in. She tells him she is happy to see him so contented.

Vilchis, (still looking like he was run over by a Mack truck), frets to his sister about Arturo.

Patricio comes into Ismael’s office. He tells him Ale is very intelligent AND mentions the cabin.

Vincente is at the school and he and the kids are having a blast playing, Teo is there too! Vincente kneels to talk to the sweet child. Teo hands him a note with the name of his mother. He will only point to his nose to answer and hugs Vincente.

Frida is waylaid by Matias. Why are you being so mysterious she asks. He tells her he saw her with his father. As she nervously expels a torrent of words he stops her, he actually approves. Frida is overjoyed but there is a catch. He wants her to reveal the truth about the fugitivas.

Florencia rats out Gabriela to Arturo for going to see Vilchis. The conversation turns sour when Arturo brings up that Alejandro knows she was Juan Pablo’s amante. “Maldito Castillo” is her comment.

Frida tries to reason with Matias but he says his father deserves to know the truth.

Ale’s helpful tio has produced groceries and more importantly, a bottle of wine which Ale wastes no time in opening. Salud!

FUGITIVAS #37 Part 2

Vincente comes home and Gabriela tells him she got a letter from her sister. He picks it up and urges her to open it. I could not understand what it said. I do think she feels badly her sister is out there alone.

Montse goes into the bedroom to find a distraught Frida who confides what happened with Matias. She obviously feels backed into a corner. Montse hugs her sympathetically.

Ismael confronts Nicolas as to who the reporter is that leaked the information on Vilchis. It seemed that Patricio and Amanda are mentioned as they also have information on the case…

Erick joins the fugitivas and he is asked about giving Lorena’s letter to Gabriela. It seemed they were cooking something up, something about numbers/texting/phone but the conversation was over my head.

It’s night and Alejandro and Lorena are together and she gets very emotional, eyes tearing up telling Ale she cares as they kiss passionately. They undress each other and lie down as we watch the candle burn.

In the afterglow, Alejandro tells Lorena that he hopes they meet sooner in their next life so they can spend more time together. She worries about her friends and her sister. They have easy chemistry and are cute together.

Frida serves drinks and serves Dario some sort of malarkey about her primo (?)

Marta tries to talk with Matias but he is uncommunicative.

Erick tries fiddling around with his phone…

The next morning, the sun comes out and Alejandro and Lorena are startled by a knock on the door. False alarm, it’s “only” his tio with more provisions.

Amanda brings the man who was tailing Alejandro (but lost him) into Ismael’s office. He tells what happened and that he wasn’t alone…Amanda is hot on it of course. Ismael sits back to think it over.

FUGITIVAS #37 Part 3 of 3

Alejandro turns up the volume on his phone and of course, the news is all about Lorena Martinez!

Vincente visits Ismael; the bros-in-law hug. He asks for Ismael’s help in trying to find/help Teo’s mother. No problem! Ismael asks about Gabriela; Vincente tells him she just got a letter from her sister. Ismael says to himself that Amanda is right…

Frida sits down as Dario is reading the paper. There on the front page is Lorena’s picture glaring from the headline. He hasn’t seen it yet fortunately and she grabs it from his hands as they kiss. Matias enters and asks if she had told his father; she pleads with him. He seems to have let it go but just for the moment.

Ismael calls his posse into his office including Amanda, Patricio and Nico. The hunt for Lorena is on…
Amanda hands Ismael a USB and they see footage of Ale and Lorena on his cycle roaring down the highway. Patricio comes in and they are off.

Vincente asks his boss to review some files.

Ale gets a call from Sofia…Somehow, Ismael has been able to hack the phone and he and his crew are all sitting there, listening in!

Lorena’s woes are only beginning. Alejandro’s not so loving tio Alfredo, confronts Lorena, rifle drawn, threatening to turn her in for being a fugitive!

I wish I had understood more. I did the best I could.

Alejandro introduces Lorena as Angelina to his uncle.

Vilchis tells his sister he has changed his mind and that they have to break him out of the hospital. She agrees but sees it as an impossible task with the guy out in the hall watching them. Vichis wants her to take a tour of the hospital and to see where the hallways go, where the emergency exits are, etc. to facilitate an escape. She nervously nods in agreement.

Patricio tells Ismael that he didn't find anything to incriminate Alejandro with the evidence they have. They agree that Alejandro is smart but they will be there when he eventually slips up.

Lorena writes to her sister that she did nothing to JP but with all of the press it is better that she goes far away and so she has. No matter what happens , she will never stop loving her. Gabriela is afraid something is going to happen to her.

When Alejandro finds out that Lorena had Erick leave a letter for her sister, he is not happy afraid that she might have given away some information about where she was going. She insists she gave nothing away.

Ismael wants Nico to find out how the reporter got the info he did. Few people had access to that info.

The fugitivas are worried that Darío will see articles about them on news sites.
Erick will block the news sites, news apps etc. on Darío's phone! It is Frida's job to get his phone to him which she does. (somehow I missed that part)

Frida returns Darío's phone. She had to call her cousin in Monterrey who had a baby. Darío reminds her this is the first time Frida has told him something about her family.

When Ortiz tells Ismael that he tried to tail Alejandro but lost him and now 24 hours have gone by with no sign of him, Ismael tells him to continue to keep watch on his place. Amanda is sure he is with Lorena. Ismael isn't. They will wait for Ortiz's report.

When Ignacio realizes that Gabriela received the letter from her sister about leaving town yesterday and Alejandro disappeared yesterday, he realizes that Amanda is right about Lorena and Alejandro being together.

Lorena chats with Alejandro's uncle and finds out he thinks that Alejandro is crazy to be defending criminals. She says that not all of them are guilty. She emphasizes how he helps the innocent. The uncle says all criminals insist they are innocent. He tells her that you have to stay away from people like that.

Amanda will find the make and the plate numbers for Alejandro's motorcycle. Ismael says then they need to find out if Alejandro and Lorena went through any toll booths which would indicate the direction they were headed in.

Ismael gets a call that the judge has approved a warrant to monitor Alejandro's phone calls.

Frida asks Matías not to ask her to tell her father the truth because they won't be around long anyway. He is surprised they are leaving. She explains they are saving so they can be out of there soon . He tells her they cannot leave. She says she doesn't want to hurt his father. She couldn't tell Darío the truth at the start or he never would have hired them. Matías finally agrees to her not telling his father. Matías doesn't want them to leave because they are all so important for him.

Ismael has enough info from the toll booth video that he can map out a search area. They are headed toward Puebla.

Sofía asks Alejandro where he is twice. The connection is still not good. He stops before he answers and looks at his phone .

Vichis wants to try and escape? The man seems barely alive, how on earth would they manage to get away? But I like that he is trying.

"Erick will block the news sites, news apps etc. on Darío's phone!" Thank you for explaining how Dario has managed to be blissfully unaware Lorena has been right in front of him the entire time! :) I had to laugh when he missed seeing Lorena's face plastered on the front of the newspaper!

Matias does have a soft spot for the fugitivas. I wish he'd shown the same kindness toward his grandmother instead of initially reacting quite cruelly.

With the law closing in, will Lorena manage to escape?? This is exciting!

Diana and Juanita, the dynamic duo. I recap a 9 p.m. show so I don't get to shed light on the initial post, but I'm happy to realize I get the gist when Juanita weighs in. I want a Juanita helping me on sed de Venganza!!

I have a question about the guy outside Vilchis hospital room. Is he a cop on the make that Nick put on the case? Otherwise a random scary looking guy lurking outside a patient's room at all hours should raise suspicion. Also, the guy needs to sleep sometime, perhaps after visiting hours he goes home so Vilchis escape idea may work.

Great point that "the thug" (as I not so affectionately call him) should certainly have aroused suspicion lurking around Vilchis' hospital room and menacingly at that. I don't think he was hired by Nico but...Perhaps Vilchis looks worse than he feels, I don't give their escape much of a chance but this is a TN and anything is possible.

Diana, I love architecture and houses , so I often notice the settings ...rooms, staircases, exteriors that have seen before . That particular cabin was featured a lot as characters stood outside it.

The more I think about it , the more i think that Art had Nick kill JP. Nick is in Art's pocket and possessed with Flirty Flor. They are all invested in pinning the murder on Lorena. Ish is a disappointment in the way he turned in Lorena so quickly. Meanwhile, Flor is juggling Ish and Nick to control them both. Maybe Vero is just a silly ditz.

P.s. we finally got a bit of rain last night. It's been so dry. Susan

I have my fingers crossed that Alejandro and Lorena make it to Guatemala. It would be great to have a change of scene.

Why hasn’t Lorena cut and dyed her hair blonde? That should have been the first thing she did rather than cowering under her hoodie all the time.

We are getting our first snow today but with temps rising well above freezing and the warm ground, it will be changing to rain before long. I did have to clean some snow off the car this a.m. though. Wah!

Juana #32 part 1

Gabriel and Juana are ready to kiss when a hanging plant falls. Juana decides that’s a sign. She tells him to look her in the eyes and tell her he won’t take the baby. He doesn’t, but then says it’s because he loves them both. She tells him he’s using her like he used Paula, he doesn’t love anyone just wants a baby. She tells him to go.

Everyone, except Josefina and Felipe, is helping Ramon up. Felipe does apologize, he didn’t want to hurt him. Josefina says it’s not his fault. Margarita gets upset and calls them monsters. Felipe says the only monster is the father who abandoned them. Ramon says they don’t know the whole story.
Juana tells Gabriel he’ll never find her, and of course David has to chime in. Margarita apologizes to her dad for making him come. He only came to ask their forgiveness. They’ll leave.

Rogelio is mad and blaming Carlos for Gabriel not selling his shares. Venting to Manuel.

Carlos tells Enriqueta that Rogelio is the cause of all their problems. The families never got along and blamed the Rubios for the father’s suicide. Enriqueta says he needs proof.

David says all this is his fault because he hired Juana to be the photographer. Margarita tells Felipe she is his sister and Ramon is his father, whether he likes it or not. Juana is talking to Jenny. She’s worried she’ll make the wrong decision. Meanwhile Felipe thanks Dani and David for risking their jobs to be there.

Paula kisses Gabriel as he comes into the hospital room. She’s going home after one check over by the doctor. Amparo tells Gabriel not to mention divorce or Juana to Paula. She has to remain calm.

Ramon tells Margarita that they were a happy family but Josefina always wanted more, she wanted him to be someone he’s not. He starts coughing and Margarita runs for Don Memo. He arrives and Ramon looks unconscious. He sends Margarita for a doctor. After she leaves Ramon comes to. He tells Memo he has lung cancer. He thanks him for being there for his family both now and when he’s gone.

Salvador sees something on his computer that makes him think Francisco is in Spain.

Paula is home and tells Gabriel they need to try artificial insemination again. Gabriel tells Paula her mother and Tania will take care of her. He has things to do.

Rogelio is in Paula’s office. He says he’s never seen her so violent before. She tells him she’s not his property. Then she asks him about his interest in Rubio beer and Gabriel. Rogelio says Gabriel is distracted with that photographer. Camila agrees but says Rubio beer is Fabriel’s life and his legacy. Rogelio says he had Paula for his wife, and success and instead of enjoying it he wants a son. The company will sink because of Gabriel. Paula asks how they can prevent this from happening. Rogelio says the two of them will do it. I think he said they’ll seize all, but not sure.

A coworker is talking to Manuel. She’s worried about him because he worries for everyone but who worries for him. She says she will be there for him.

Juana # 32 part 2

Josefina feels Felipe has too much anger. She tells him she wasn’t the right woman for Ramon. She got pregnant and they married. He never would have married and had kids. Felipe won’t forgive him for leaving. Meanwhile Jenny is telling Juana all that happened outside while she was with Gabriel.

Tania brings Paula her medicine and tells her she needs to rest. Amparo is telling Gabriel he needs to stay with Paula. He replies that he didn’t cause the accident and is not obligated to stay. He mentions Paula’s friend, Luciano, he might have said lover, there was a word with love in it.

Salvador, Josefina and Yadria are at the house. Salvador brought a bag of fruit for Josefina. Josefina tells Yadria that Felipe isn’t here. She then says she wants to speak to Sal alone. When Yadria leaves Salvador thanks Josefina.

Camila is asking Susana if Juana still works there. Susana says she quit but Gabriel went to talk to her so she doesn’t know. But she thinks they should hire someone else

Margarita is crying that she doesn’t want her dad to go, she wants him with her. She needs him and loves him.

Felipe goes toEnriqueta’s office to ask if she knew Gabriel was the father when they spent the morning together. She did know and Felipe wants to know why she didn’t tell him. She says Gabriel was planning on telling her and he’s her friend and boss and she couldn’t betray him. Felipe feels they were friends also and leaves angry.

Salvador is talking to Josefina about what rights Gabriel has. He has rights but Juana could get a restraining order if she’s in physical danger.

David comes in late and Gabriel says he thought David would be taking Juana far away. He will if she wants him to, he wants to end it between Gabriel and Juana. There’s almost a fight but Carlos steps in wondering if he should put up a boxing ring so all the employees can watch.

Juana is thinking of what Gabriel said and says liar. Josefina comes in and tells her she was pregnant and their parents made them marry, then Jenny, now you. Josefina seemed to soften toward Gabriel, but not Juana. Josefina opens a box of baby clothes that she had saved. A happy moment.

David won’t shut up, he’s defending his employee. He says Gabriel doesn’t love Juana and he’s driving his wife crazy.

Amparo tells Rogelio that Gabriel won’t stay. Paula cheated on him and Camila is working on ending up as the next Mrs. Rubio while Rogelio is paying all her expenses. Rogelio laughs it off and says she’s saying that because she hates Camila. She tells him to check with Tania. He does, and Tania tells him about a picture of Gabriel and Camila that Camila had hidden in one of Gabriel’s shirts. She tells him Camila wants to be Gabriel’s wife.

Jenny is asking her dad if he’s sick and he tells her he’s never been better. Meanwhile Margarita is at Josefina’s and tells Josefina her dad is dying.

Liz, good job. I didn't catch the Francisco in Spain plot. I just figured it was some work Pacheco should do so that he would stop daydreaming about Margarita.

There was one other scene where Rogelio was talking to Camela. She overheard his convo with his son so she knows he is trying to sabotage the company. Oh you did comment on it but used Paula's name, not Camila. I think his goal is to sink the company and get the spoils.

I wondered why Carlos didn't carry on the family name and discovered in this episode that he was Gabriel's mother's brother.

Manuel always has such a pained look on his face. Maybe he will end up telling on dear old murderous dad . I forget if Manuel knows that Rog killed Francisco. I am starting to get confused about who knows what. Susan

Thanks Kat and Susan. Kat, I used Paula’s name in a whole paragraph when it was Camila! Well, I used Camila’s name once in the paragraph. I make that mistake a lot and sometimes I catch it! I don’t think I put in about her overhearing Rogelio’s conversation with Manuel. But she did confront him about it. I even looked up a word I didn’t know, and the meaning was sink! I didn’t catch that Carlos was the mother’s brother. I like him but never even thought about it being Gabriel’s legacy, not his.
Susan, I know Manuel suspects his father of having something to do with Francisco’s disappearance but I don’t think he knows for sure. He doesn’t know his dad killed him. Or maybe he’s in denial. I think he’ll eventually turn on his dad. He always looks so tortured.
