Regular visitors here might have noticed a lack of comments by a regular here. She's not only a regular; she and I share putting up the Telemundo pages on alternate weeks. Our own Juanita has been very sick for a week. She's on the mend, but we miss her. She'll have some catching up to do to be in synch with those of us watching La Jefa. Looking forward to Juanita's regular comments returning.

"JEFA" HIGHLIGHTS DISCUSSION
My personal thoughts on last night's episode (Super-Short)
*Creepy Duque used Gloria's phone to text message to Jacinto & Gloria's UGLY ass sisters with a picture of Fernando's dead body.

*We see the intimidation threats & evil manipulations launched by Duque used against Gloria, who's being dragged into the white van.

*Duque speaking on the phone with someone with higher-up connections. I want to know who the higher-ups are involved in this conspiracy.

*The Ugly Ass Sisters especially Ugly Asshole No. 1 getting triggered by seeing the photos of Fernando.

*Gloria & Sebastian flee somewhere to an undisclosed location. Sometime during the episode, Jacinto escaped gunfire from Duque's hired thugs.

*Ugly Asshole No. 1 confronts Gloria & Sebastian, where we see Ugly Asshole No. 1 shooting Sebastian. The sisters get into a fight & struggle over the gun & just as Ugly Asshole No 1 was about to shoot Gloria, we see Sebastian shooting Ugly Asshole No. 1 in the lower back.

I absolutely loathe Jacinto. He stayed behind and wanted Fernando to do the dirty work of getting rid of Gloria. It was fun seeing him swerve around while being fired upon by Duque's thugs in the military style pickup.

At least we saw some resistance by Ernestina to Jacinto's blaming everything on Gloria.

It was awful watching Perrón beat his wife (sorry, I forgot her name).

I had high hopes for Susana, but she just kept pretending that she and Bolillo were not together.

Novelera, I think that Ernestina might be redeemed.

I am confused as to why Duque didn't kill Gloria now that he has the money .

Those scenes of Perron punching and threatening his wife (Laura)?)'were awful, and the beating looked all too realistic. He is a beast. I am hoping he gets beaten up soon.

Watching Sebas writhing in pain is terrible. He managed to save Gloria from her demented sister.

Gloria has a wonderful friend in sweet Yadira.

Steve, thanks for the highlights.

If I'm not mistaken, El Duque's bosses don't want him to harm Gloria, for some reason.

I can muster no sympathy for the hateful sister who just lost her husband. She's been nasty from A - Z and is way too old to say things like "everything was great until Gloria." I had a cousin who use to say that about her younger sister, but then they were about 7 and 4 years old at the time.

Got my fingers crossed that that wife beater will eventually get his a** kicked. Surely Laura was forced to marry this cretin to avoid getting deported.

I’ve only been watching intermittently, especially now with the time change, but wanted to chime in that I hope Juanita is better soon!

I don’t mind checking this one out but I have a low tolerance now for realistic violence. If a Turkish mob family wants to shoot people off screen, that’s fine, but I don’t want to see that nice Colombian woman get beaten.

#15 - Part 1 of 2

Well, Luisa survives to annoy Viewerville again. Gloria figures out Jacinto had sent her because he also knew about that building where Sebas had hidden the money Juan José had given him for her emergency fund. Sebas says that it was Luisa or Gloria. I agree. I’m sure Luisa would have shot her.

Gloria’s too nice and won’t let Luisa bleed out. They take her to a hospital and then run away once she’s on una camilla (a stretcher).

Torres keeps trying to get some information out of Susana, but she clams up. It’s not clear to me whether this is because Bolillo told her to shut it or whether she still has feelings for him.

Facundo is talking in an empty room in the narco lab with his kidnapped friend. [If I ever knew her name, it’s gone now.] He tells her that everyone now knows what happened to her. She explains the bomb on her ankle.

Duque instructs some guys to take 4 cars with the $5 million hidden in the tires and other parts of the cars. Not sure where they’re headed, but something was said about a gringo.

Torres tells Marco that the girls are too afraid to say anything. He plans to allanar (raid) Maribel’s place.

Maribel gripes to Perrón about Torres. She’d like to get rid of Laura, but she knows about Perrón’s feelings for her. Bolillo insists that Susana won’t talk.

Sonia shows up at El Duque’s place, showing poor judgment. She’s ragging on him about his guys NOT killing her husband. She tells him about Sebas’ diagnosis, which explains a lot to Duque about how Sebas has been up in his face. Duque then tells Sonia it’s over. She says the baby she’s expecting is his. He just laughs, saying dozens of women have tried the same thing with zero success.

Gloria and Sebas show up at Jacinto’s. They both point guns at him. In front of Erna, Gloria outs Jacinto for having given Luisa a gun and told her where to find them. Sebas tells Erna that Fernando was going to kill Gloria. And Gloria did not kill him.

Erna is told to go to the hospital where Luisa has been admitted. After she leaves Gloria tells Jacinto that they’ve come for money, some of what he’s stolen from the state. After one shot is fired over his head, he opens up a safe and forks over $20K. After they leave, he goes to another hiding place for a lot more money. He calls someone to keep watch over the highways and airport.

Torres’ boss wants action, and Torres promises him some.

Maribel talks to Perrón and Bolillo about a woman named Rosa. We see a flashback where it looks like Rosa had received a botched breast enhancement. Something is said about Rosa being a competitor. They’re going to blame her for Olga and Carolina.

Torres shows Marco the judicial order to search Brillante. After Marco leaves, he talks to himself, saying he’s getting a thing for Gloria.

#15 - Part 2 of 2

Jacinto meets with an assassin. He hands over a huge wad of dough as an advance. The sum of half a million pesos is mentioned for each of three hits. The guy is to kill Sebastian, Gloria, and Daniel. The hitman says that the kid will cost double.

Erna tells Facundo’s mother (over the phone) that Luisa is in the hospital. Amparo had called worried about her son being missing. Erna is told that Luisa’s lumbar vertebrae were affected by the shot.

Sonia, still looking for someone to mooch on, comes to see Jacinto, who tells her that he’s made sure Gloria and Sebastián won’t be a problem. Then she’s all over him. I’m quietly gagging on my sofa.

Laura gets a visit from Susana, who takes off her sunglasses and sees the awful bruise on her cheekbone. She tells Laura about Torres’ visit and that the bodies are definitely Olga and her sister.

Nasty Ramona snarks something while she and Yadira are doing some women’s hair. The gist seems to be that Yadira is a year clean from some kind of addiction.

Ewww! Bolillo is ready to jump Maribel’s bones when Perrón walks in, and they leap apart.

Torres comes to the hospital and eavesdrops on Mathilde’s end of a phone conversation with Gloria. Gloria tells her mother not to pick up any calls

Jacinto’s iron net is quite ineffective. Sebas and Gloria manage to fly from Tijuana to Mexico City.

Facundo seems to pass out. His friend yells for help. They say he’s dead. [Was something cut?] They take the bomb off his ankle.

Susana makes up Laura’s face to hide the awful bruise and then feels faint. [Uh oh] It turns out Laura’s child is in Colombia, and she’s trying to bring him to Mexico. Susana says that, if Maribel killed Olga and Carolina, Perrón had to have been involved; he’s her loyal guard dog.

Sebas and Gloria arrive at the hospital and try to delicately explain to Mathilde that things didn’t go well in Tijuana (except for the $20K).

Torres and the morgue doctor talk about the two dead girls and how many young women fall into the clutches of fake doctors. The doctor says that Olga’s death was slow and painful, and she could have been saved.

Marlin and Duque talk about giving money to Tamayo for helping trap Facundo. Duque says they’ll each get a big bonus from the boss for getting back the $5 million. They talk about some guy that died and how he will be found in the river with drugs in his stomach (Facundo?) Duque then has some empty faced woman arrive para festejar.

The young chemistry student, after she was knocked away from Facundo’s body, has gotten hold of something sharp and seems ready to cut off her ankle bomb.

Torres and Jacinto’s assassin bump into each other in a doorway. I think Torres noticed a gun in his waistband and is pursuing. The killer calls out Gloria’s name and reaches for his weapon. But Gloria shoots first. I can almost hear Jacinto’s teeth gnashing all the way from Tijuana.

We end with Gloria and Torres facing each other, guns drawn.

Novelera: Awesome job with the recap of last night's episode. Jacinto probably wants Gloria's mother dead too.

Wake me up when all of the villains go down in flames.

Wow, history repeats itself . Gloria finds the second stash of money , but it is taken from her thanks to Jacinto. Now, she is down one awful bro in law, while little weasel Jacinto keeps on keeping on.

Maribel had an interesting outfit On when she was wrestling with lightweight Bolillo. yikes.

I am wondering how much longer poor Laura will last. Susan

Do we think Facundo is dead-dead or just novela-dead (alive)? It’d be a shame for him to go now. It looked the woman took some special tool used to take the ankle bomb off of the “dead” guy. I hope she gets a chance to use it before too long. And then shares it with the others.

Gracias, Novelera. Great opening: "Well, Luisa survives to annoy Viewerville again." - lol. Will Luisa's brush with death and the fact that her baby sister got medical care for her change this woman for the better? I'm not betting on it. Thanks for "allanar." I intended to look it up but then couldn't remember to do so.

First Sonia smooching Jacinto, then Bolillo and Matilde in heat. Aye yi yi!

Niecie: Luisa will get her Karma in the end. Villains always get their comeuppance.

Erna & Jacinto both will be getting theirs too.

Big question is whether or not this Telenovela drags out all the way until the Fall of 2025 in order for "CASILLAS" to debut ?
