Thanks SO much, dondi. I am VERY late to the party. I think I had too much undeleted stuff on my DVR, so Friday's episode did not record. I tried to watch it on the Telemundo site on Saturday, but either it wasn't up yet, or I did something wrong. And Sunday was my daughter in law's birthday, so I spent the day and evening with family. Finally, I could see the episode on Telemundo's site today.
Just one correction: The evil sister-in-law is Elisa. I guess we're going with Mathilde forgiving every one of her atrocities. Who tears up a bouquet brought by your mother?
Loved "lipstick on a pig" vis a vis Maribel dolling herself up to, I think, appeal to an old boyfriend and become a cartel money launderer. Azela Robinson is putting up one of her MOST disgusting characters, and that's saying a lot.
I was SO happy Karen survived. And thanks for remembering her name. I could not do so for the life of me. I'm pretty sure these two are going to make it to the end. Facundo needs to find a secret location and start trolling El Duque big time.
Gloria seems always almost on the verge of mistrusting Torres. I'm glad to see she decided to accept the ride with him. This whole Jacinto thing is nuts. I've heard plenty of things about corrupt officials in Mexico, but his dogged pursuit of Gloria and apparent willingness to kill her himself beggars belief.
El Duque's underlings are certainly at risk. That hand and/or finger smashing thing was awful. Duque said something about having a special relationship with Marlin, so his pinkies survived.
Perhaps I'll put this up on Monday's page when it posts.

#20 – Part 1 of 2
So…last night we lost Sebastián as well as Sonia. Seems he pulled his gun totin’ wife in front of a big truck to protect Gloria. Yadira prevented Daniel from seeing his beloved uncle dead in the street. Two months pass.
Torres had a big win, discovering half a million dollars hidden in a septic tank truck. But some guy from HQ came and took the money, saying his job was returning it.
Tonight, we begin with Torres telling Marco about that Castillo guy who took the money they’d recovered. Torres says that the corruption smells worse than what they had to have their hands in in the truck.
The women at the salon talk. Gloria asks Laura if it’s true she worked for a narco and managed to get out of that. Laura says she had the usual jobs:
waitressing, cleaning houses. Her mother was sick. She was offered 10 million Colombian pesos to have small things like condoms in her stomach, full of cocaine. She got $24K. Then she fell in love. She was in the U.S. with a guy called Arturo Carmona after the 5th journey with the drugs. She told the guy she was pregnant, and he called Immigration. She’s telling the other women she’s in Mexico because it’s closer to her ultimate destination, the U.S. We can see Perrón eavesdropping.
The nasty receptionist tells Maribel that she shouldn’t keep the money she’s laundering in the salon because Torres might raid again. She also said that there’s something between Gloria and Torres.
Daniel passes out in class.
Susana comes to see Maribel because she’s saved some money. OMG. She wants Maribel to do gastric banding so she’ll lose weight. I can barely watch this. Then Maribel swears her to secrecy and says there’s a new procedure…a stomach balloon. After Susana leaves, Maribel starts looking it up and how it’s done.
Torres finds out that Castillo only turned in half of the money he and Marco recovered. He comes to confront him. But Castillo shows him a leather bag of money and says it’s for an undercover operation to gain the trust of a big capo.
Torres goes to the hospital to be with Gloria. Long story short, diabetes has damaged a kidney. Gloria is more than ready to give one, but the cost is prohibitive.
Susana has a new guy. If we saw him before, I forgot. His name is Fercho. They’re about to get busy when Bolillo comes back after two months somewhere. He ends up stabbing Fercho.

Oh boy. Perrón is meeting with Arturo, the father of Laura’s child, Miguelito. Now he wants the kid. He’s paying Perrón to get the boy to the U.S.
Perrón comes home. He starts off saying he wants to bring Miguelito to live with them in Mexico. Laura is overjoyed. But Perrón turns on a dime and accuses her of not believing he’d do what he just said. This guy is BSC. A violent rape happens.
Susana comes to the hospital with Fercho. Torres says he’ll get the police to search for Bolillo
Duque and Marlin gripe about Torres having intercepted their half a million bucks.
As if we weren’t drowning in them, a new rotten guy is introduced. He’s Uriel, Yadira’s brother. He’s showed up at her place and searching, probably for money. Yadira confronts him and slaps him when he insults her.
Perrón is sleeping on the couch, and Laura tries to take some money he has in a bag. He wakes up, and she leaves with nothing, I believe. He has to put on his shoes and can’t catch up with her.
It seems Susana slept at Gloria’s place because of their fearing Bolillo’s return. Torres has slept on the couch to protect them both. Torres more or less declares his feelings for Gloria. Some passionate kisses begin. Gloria pulls away eventually, saying she’s fearful after what happened with Juan José. He says he’ll give her all the time she needs. He gets a call and has to leave.
Laura shows up at Gloria’s apartment, a total wreck.
Torres is watching Castillo giving that leather bag of money to some guy. That guy shows the bag to some other guy who’s just driven up. It looks like the undercover deal Castillo told Torres about. Then Castillo shoots the first guy (presumably a cop, undercover). Torres says to himself that he killed his own man. Torres notes the license number of the guy who took off with the money.
Torres follows Castillo, who’s following the other guy.
Perrón is incessantly calling Laura. He’s snooping around Gloria’s apartment and hears Laura’s phone ring inside. When Gloria answers the door and tells him to leave, he bursts in. Gloria pulls a gun, points it at Perrón, and tells him she’ll send him to “the other side” if he takes another step.
My recaps are getting shorter. There doesn’t seem to be much interest in this telenovela.

I don't understand the dialogue , but it looks like Gloria was mouthing off to Big Man Perron. That wasn't smart .There are so many bad guys in this show. Torres always looks war weary trying to fight the bad guys and the bad cops.

I'm so sorry to see Sebas go. He was my favorite guy character. Now it's up to Torres and the chemistry student to carry the good guy load.
When will Perrón get a bullet in the head? Sadly, I don't think Gloria will follow through on her threat tonight.
Now Daniel needs a transplant? I don't know, seems like he's getting the worst juvenile diabetes care ever.

Definitely not a recap, but here's what struck me last night:
-- Despite all she's seen of Maribel at the salon, Susanna submits to cosmetic surgery at Maribel's hands.
-- No surprise, Torres's partner is dirty.
-- Luisa is hateful of course, but she put on a good presentation at the public event -- whatever it was. Maybe she'll wind up as a motivational speaker.
-- Yadira's mother is unbelievably mean to Yadira but has a blindside for her lying son.

How can Yadira be so kind and caring with a mother like that ?
I still can't believe that the writers killed off Sebastian so soon .
This show is grim and violent , but I can't stop watching .
