I'm still having audio difficulties with this show. Is it coming through ok for everyone else? My provider is YouTube TV. I get the music soundtrack and whispered dialogue. CC aren't the best for this show as they lag behind and parts get cut as it plays catch up.
Monday, #40, 1 of 3 (I think I got the number right this time- no specials last week?)
.
While my computer was turning on, Raul was celebrating Blanca. Then Pepita shows up. And apologizes again. Blanca forgives and says they’ll be working together as always. So she’s not leaving! Rick gives her something that Max left her. It’s a letter saying he couldn’t let her leave a job she loved for him, etc. Yours Always, Max. Blanca cries.
.
Gala night at Velvet! Unfortunately, Barbie and Enrique show up and head to the greeting line of Al and Cris and Val and Mateo. Then Ana and Carlos. Then Sara and her husband, Mark, who is wearing ridiculous white glasses. He’s probably the one who came up with “Sag Woman”. Finally, Alberto gives a speech about the importance of fashion and history or something, and he turns it over to Valeria. Fair, it was her idea. She talks about the foundation and then Raul takes over for the auction.
.
The show starts with the red dress that Valeria said Al absolutely did not want sold given its importance to Velvet. Al and Carlos go back and forth with the bids, because they don’t have horns or antlers or anything to fight with, and Carlos wins in the end with a 150,000 bid. Back in the office, Al is furious about the red dress being sold and yells at Valeria about who ok’d this. Cris says she did. For the company. Al yells at her some more about how HE’S the head of the company, not her or her family. She gets mad back and doesn’t want to be talked to like this. But she and Val leave. Even Mateo gets yelled at and Al just wants to be left alone.
.
He finally comes back to the party to ask Barbie about Cris, who was, I believe, crying and left. Carlos asks Ana about the importance of the dress. She tells him, and he thinks she should wear it to the intro of her collection at his store, which I will not try to spell. He kisses her, while Al watches ruefully in the background.
.
Al is back at a bar, drinking, when Sara comes by and orders herself a drink. She knows immediately that he’s mad about the sale of the dress, but he doesn’t want to talk about it. So she invites him up to her room. He surprises by saying this won’t work. She tries to convince him by calling him a rebel, that these events bore him as much as they bore her, and so on. And he gives in with a mushy kiss. Cris is really not going to like this.
.
They go back to her room and he tries to talk himself out of this by asking what are they doing? This is a locura. But he also tells her she’s irresistible. Lots of sexy time that I won’t go in to.
.
Emilio and Isabel talk about the dress and about Carlos. She still doesn’t trust Carlos, which Ana points out. He walks her back to her place while Ana thinks about what Isa said about this being a gift and not a promise to Carlos, and she thinks about Al. Still.
.
Valeria is resting against a wall of the store after a long night when Enrique comes over to congratulates her on a successful night. And he asks what’s up with the red dress but she doesn’t want to talk about it. So he tries to get it on with her instead. She says no because of the cameras but he talks her in to it. Valeria, dude, you were doing so well. But she gives in. Barbie is really not going to like this.
Monday, #40, 2 of 3
.
Al stumbles home and meet Gloria, who is as understanding as you’d expect. He asks about Cris, and then Gloria digs in about the red dress and if he’s upset because he promised it to the costurera. He’s not in the mood for her and goes to bed.
.
Luisa’s kid talks to Ramon over the phone. Rick comes over and she’s all worried about the sewing machine. But she hides something from him. Was that a Carmen Garza tag? It’s something she obviously doesn’t want him to see.
.
Al apologizes to Cris and she still doesn’t why he was so upset. He explains it was a favorite of his father but she’s still not sorry she put it up for sale for the foundation. He’s sorry again and asks her to come back to the house (she stayed at her dad’s). She looks forward to reconciling.
.
Rick and Luisa talk and he shows off the vest he’s wearing. HE made it. BY HAND. She inspects it and says she never expected him to be able to sew. (Not to stereotype, but are we sure he’s straight?)
.
There’s a news story the next day about the sale of that red dress for 150k, but is that even that big of a deal in NYC? Marga, meanwhile is teasing Ana about the whole dress thing. Ana can’t believe what happened between the boys (Al and Carlos) but Marga thinks he was so nice. She’s is worried about what AL will think because Carlos wants to display is at Saghattan, or whatever that store is that needs a serious rebranding. Marga reminds her that she stayed up all night sewing for Cris’s wedding and was Al at all concerned about her then? No. Marga makes a good point.
.
Barbie and Cris talk. Cris is sure that Al married her for love and Barbie is way cynical about this and tells Cris that he is in her families hands and she should use this to her advantage. Cris finally uses her rage for good by yelling at Barbie that she’s just jealous of her relationship with Al. Barbie deserved this but it will probably come back to bite Cris in the nalgas when Barbie inevitably will be the one to discover Al’s infidelity. (I assume). (But maybe not- maybe Barbie will just stew in her own hated and classist attitudes).
.
Clara is upset and Marga asks her what’s up. Carla acts like it’s the worst thing in the world and Marga asks if she’s sick. But it’s worse. She thinks she’s pregnant. She and Mateo might be parents. Marga says she needs a pregnancy test but Clara is afraid. They are about to go do this when Mateo and Pedro interrupt. The ladies act odd but the boys don’t get it.
.
Luisa has told Ric about the secret Carmen Garza operation, which is what she was hiding, and she tells Ana that he can help. She agrees but swears him to secrecy.
.
Al tells Mateo where he was the night before (but I missed whether he told everything).
Monday, #40, 3 of 3
.
Pedro shows Emilio a pic to see what he thinks. Emilio asks if he’s serious about moving to Brookyln. Emilio asks him if he really loves Susan. He talks her up but finally admits that he doesn’t love her. He’s doing this for Peter. Emilio thinks that’s not a good enough reason.
.
Valeria talks to Al and thinks selling the red dress turned out to be a good thing. She always felt insecure next to him, the great impresario. But after the night before, she realizes he’s not that great of a businessman and she had no reason to feel inferior to him. She thinks he should have put aside his feeling about selling the dress that she thinks he was keeping because of the connection to Ana, but he needs to put business first and leave his emotions out of it. She tells him to step it up, which gets a look from him like “You gonna tell ME this?”, but he doesn’t say anything while she berates him a little more and then leaves. It’s looking like maybe she should have been put in charge of this store.
.
Carla is back at the office and turns around to see Mateo. She tells him something has been happening that she’s never done before and she’s out of sorts because of it. He says he knows what’s bothering her. He gives some stupid reason and says it’s obvious that she can’t live without him. And he can’t live without her. She asks if he’d support her in whatever circumstances. He says yes, because he doesn’t know what she’s talking about yet, and she hugs him.
.
Ana and Al are back at their secret roof deck. She talks about the night before but he points out that the red dress is the only thing everyone is talking about. He talks about how important she was to him and without her, he is making mistake after mistake. Then it looks like he’s about to kiss her, but we're out.
.
K
I don’t know is anyone is watching this. I did and, as, I often do with Turkish dizis, found it interesting. I saw two great actors that I recognized right away, Pars from Secretos de Familia and Vural from Fatmagul.
This time we have doctors and, of course, a love triangle. Those two actors are, as always, outstanding, and it looks to be an entertaining tale!
Babachita
Babachita,, I haven't watched this one , but I have seen the promos . I didn't watch Secretos , but I loved Fatmagul. I am trying to remember who Vural is .
Susan
Vural was one of the four young men involved in the crimr. He was not one of the two very rich cousins. He and Kerim were friends and Vural introduced K to his favorite place looking over the water, where the attack later happened. IIRC, Vural committed suicide.
Babachita
Kat, thank.you for another excellent review of the unfolding drama.
Well, I can't stand looking at Al's pathetic , tragic face anymore . Oh , poor, sad me. I am madly in love with the gorgeous , adorable, gentle, easily manipulated Ana, but, I had to marry rich , shallow Chris to save my family and my business ...and then, I was having a sad at the bar when this hot spot showed up ...and...well...hmmm...
Hey, Ana, run don't walk away from this pathetic , whiny player . Susan
Babachita, thank you ! Now I remember him. I loved Fatmagul. Dondi recommended it to me. Maybe it is time to watch again . Susan
Thanks very much, K., for another impressive recap.
I don't know what to make of Mark's absurd white glasses. Are they supposed to indicate that he's an independent thinker and doesn't follow the crowd? Or just that he has bad taste? And even if he did come up with the name Sag Woman (which I doubt), Sara should have squashed that awful idea. She certainly doesn't strike me as someone who defers to her husband.
I loved your saying that Al and Carlos go back and forth with the bids "because they don’t have horns or antlers or anything to fight with." And I also enjoyed your later comment about Mateo's saying yes "because he doesn’t know what [Clara is] talking about yet...."
I confess that I'm a bit confused about the Carmen Garza tag that Luisa tried to hide from Rick. Why did she have that tag? Is she supposed to put the tag on after she finishes making the dress? And if the new endeavor is to be called Carmen Garza (as I think Ana suggested), is that instead of Sag Woman"? I sure hope so!
Yes, I agree, Val was impressive in her discussion with Al, but her continued relationship with [expletive deleted] Enrique disqualifies her as the head of Velvet as far as I'm concerned. Talk about bad judgment....
I couldn’t wait to read your recap, K. I lol’d just thinking about what you would write. It did not disappoint.
Good grief, Sara’s husband—what was that? Maybe he wants a piece of Albert, too. No wonder she needs an occasional tune up at the repair shop. I’m sure sex with Cris isn’t all that great for Albert either. Sara’s shiny dress did the trick. Albert went straight for Sara’s tonsils.
I don’t know if $150k for a dress is a record. Then it would probably be a brief news item in NYC. That was just some fashion content creator blabbing on a video sharing platform. Unsubscribe.
If we can have women in the boardroom, why can’t we have a straight man at a sewing machine?
I enjoyed Cris shouting at Barbie. Yes, it will go wrong for both of them eventually.
If I understood, Emilio told Pedro that the home business” rule wasn’t Velvet’s; it’s an NYC thing. I believe you can have a home-based business in NYC but the rules are strict. And I think Susan would need a license to offer salon type services.
Good that Valeria told Albert. When Ana and Albert finally ride off into the sunset together, she can take control of Velvet. She also needs to get rid her mom and Enrique.
Do we know how Emily the dog is doing? Carla and Mateo are nothing special for me. I like his mom and aunts, though. I hope Carla’s not pregnant.
Kat, I have YouTube TV too. I had that same sound problem one night a couple of weeks ago. It was only on Telemundo and both Velvet and Jefa were affected. I haven’t had it since. Thank goodness the subtitles were working.
Hi Babachita. I already watched the first season of this in Turkish. Yes, Mehmet Yılmaz Ak (Pars) and Buğra Gülsoy (Vural) are in this. We also saw Buğra on Telemundo in “Todo por mi Hija” aka Kızım. Bahar is played by Demet Evgar. We saw her on Telemundo in “El Fuego del Destino” aka “Alev Alev”. All 3 very good actors. I won’t commit to recapping but I will be around to comment if there’s a discussion.
I caught the beginning of this. I will probably give it a shot. Karsu is so good, I may become a Turkish fan. Are they all called Dizis? I actually watched Todo por mi hija before I discovered this blog. It was impactful, but I'm not sure which of the actors was in it, the Dr that helped the woman in the ambulance or the husband of Bahar? Will this be both seasons does anyone know?
Kat, the doctor who came into the ambulance was Oyku's reluctant father in Todo por mi Hija. And thanks to dondi for reminding me he was one of the four rapists in Fatmagul. This role seems like he might be the love interest rather than the somewhat sketchy guy I've seen him in before. His facial expression, hand covering mouth, was SO revealing when he watched Bahar's mother-in-law outright refusing to let her son lose part of his precious liver. The liver's ability to regenerate is well known.
Too much television! I like what I've seen of Bahar. But lately I'm nervous about keeping up with my two book groups. One meets on the last Thursday night of the month, with wine and sometimes food similar to that found in the book's plot. The other one is the second Thursday, formed as part of a Friends of the Library group and is now on Zoom. I have 2/3 of a book to read by this Thursday night. Yikes! It's The Worst Hard Time by Timothy Egan and is dense with facts non-fiction.
Another super funny recap, K. I always look forward to your wit. ITA about Sara's husband. You can sort of see why she's on the prowl.
Also adored "because they don't have horns or antlers to fight with"!
We saw another example of how entitled Cris is when she rudely overrode Luisa trying to keep the red dress out of the auction.
I wouldn't mind Cris finding out about Sara. Don't like either of them. It's sure hard, based on around 30 years of telenovela watching, to believe Ana and Alberto will end up together before the big FIN shows up on the screen. Traditionally the only time the galán is unfaithful is when he's drugged by the evil other woman. And even then he doesn't do the deed; she convinces him he did.
Juanita, we're back to Alberto's gobbling kissing. And, dondi, "Alberto went for the tonsils". Perfect! We even saw a LOT of tongue with Sara.
Every time Valeria lets herself get seduced by the nasty Enrique, I lose more respect for her.
I don't remember Luisa helping Ana with Carmen Garza. And, this whole plot line strains credibility. Ana works full time at Velvet designing the Saghattan line and also works night for Alondra? Is she designing AND sewing the Carmen Garza line? If all this were true, she'd certainly look less dewy fresh every episode.
Yep, "Cris finally uses her rage for good." We know she's right, but who constantly tries to undermine a friend's marriage, especially considering how fragile Cris is.
I agree Novelera, too many shows, so little time. Your book clubs sound interesting. My current life revolves around the grandchildren. Some day perhaps I'll branch out. I like to read, CC's are my current reading fare.
The first episode has definitely piqued my interest. The husband is a jerk, mother in law even more so. Hoping Bahar does have a new love interest.
Looks like my Velvet viewing will be the next day with the audio problems. Thanks K, great as always. I haven't liked Al from the get go and today's episode increased that dislike. I'll be very disappointed if he and Ana end up together. Here's hoping a more worthy suitor appears for her. Chris and Sara were both wearing ugly dresses at the auction, imo.
Chris had a good point she told Al. The dress could be remade, they have the pattern.
Rick learning to sew at his mother's knee. ( I'm teaching my grandsons to sew). I imagine all the girls are helping Ana with the Carmen line ( well maybe not Pepita). That's the only way she could keep up I imagine. Carla tosses the unopened pregnancy test in the trash when she and Marg get surprised by Mateo. And of course Pedro comes along and takes the trash....I actually laughed at that slapstick scene.
Emily is on the road to recover according to Mateo. Carla asked.
Well, I thought wrong, only Luisa has been helping Ana. She's falling behind because of her singing. She tells Ana Rick is a better sewer than herself, (and he'll work for half price) so he is on the Carmen team.
We again see Alberto and Ana alone on the roof deck. Alberto wonders aloud what happened to the man he used to be. He says he's lost without Ana. She tells him she can't be there for him. He tells her he has never wanted anyone else. He then says he hopes she'll be happy, and he leaves.
Blanca is texting Max. It's been two weeks, Max. How are you? Max texts back that meeting her was the best thing that has ever happened to him. He thanks her for changing his life, and he says that perhaps they'll meet again some day. (My bet is that that day will be sooner rather than later.)
Cris comes to see Ana. She complements her and then tells her she really wants the Crimson 76 dress. She offers Ana $200,000 for it. Ana says she can't sell it. It was a gift from Carlos, and he wants her to wear it when they present the Sahghattan line. Cris replies, $250,000. Ana again insists she cannot sell it. "Name your price," says Cris. Ana tries to explain that it's not a question of money.
Isabel comes to see Alberto. He's in a bad mood. She says she's just like his father. Totally devoted to work. "When was the last time you were out with friends?" she asks him. Or family? He says his family is complicated. "My mother died years ago." Isabel asks what her name was. "Guadaloupe Perez," Alberto replies. Isabel smiles. "She must have been extraordinary. Oaxacan women are extraordinary. Like me." (I'm confused here. Is her name really Guadaloupe Perez??)
Cris goes to see Enrique and vents to him about Ana, and all the attention she's getting. And, of course, her refusal to sell the dress, even though Cris offered $250,000. Enrique asks whether Cris would like him to put Ana in her place tomrrow (at the Sahghattan event, I think). Cris is delighted at Enrique's offer. Enrique is happy she agrees to his offer. "No one takes the spotlight off the Oteguis," he says.
Sara comes to see Alberto in his office. He's not pleased. And even less pleased when she puts her hand on his thigh. She moves in for a kiss. He says "Hello" to Cris, who is standing at the doorway. After a few minutes of small talk between Cris and Sara, Sara leaves. Cris looks at Alberto, who has a totally blank expression on his face.
Pedro gets a phone call from Susan. Peter is having trouble in school. Susan proposes that they go to the courthouse the next day and arrange for him to have his father's name: Peter Lopez.
Enrique and Val talk about the brochures for the Sahghattan event. They agree that Ana's name should not appear anywhere on the brochure. That will teach her her place.
Luisa must have been listening to us talking on the patio. Rick shows her something he made himself, and she hesitantly asks, "Are you gay?" Rick says no, he's not. "I once tried kissing another male, but I didn't like it." He says he came to New York because he couldn't sew where his parents lived. They were Catholic and very conservative and didn't approve of men sewing. (But why mention that they were Catholic. How would that be relevant if he's heterosexual?)
Clara and Mateo are at a restaurant. She order plain water. Mateo has something alcoholic. "There's something I want to tell you," she says. "Remember when you said that no matter what, you'd be there for me? Well, I'm late." Mateo is puzzled. "Late on a payment?" No, Clara says, late. Mateo suddenly gets up, puts his hand over his mouth, and rushes off to the bathroom. (No, Mateo, it's the woman who gets morning sickness.)
Cris meets with a man who her brother had described as the best investigator in the city. She tells him she wants to know everything about a woman named Guadaloupe Perez. She was from Oaxaca and was in a relationship with Benjamin Márquez a little more than 25 years ago. He gave her a necklace (which she shows the investigator). "Anything else I should know?" asks the investigator. Cris tells him "She was the mother of my husband, Alberto Márquez. I want to know everything about her."
Val asks Emilio about Alberto's mother, Emilio gets nervous and lies about not knowing her.
Isabel is talking with Blanca when suddenly she collapses. Isabel keeps saying "No, not yet. I can't die yet!" Blanca yells for help. She also calls Emilio to tell him that Isabel collapsed and is being taken to the emergency room.
Ana and Emilio come to the hospital. Blanca is already there. Isabel apparently had told Blanca about Alberto, but Ana still doesn't know.
Susan announces that her son now is Peter Lopez. Marga asks Pedro, "So you're leaving?" Pedro says yes.
Back at the hospital, Carlos has already spoken to the doctors about Isabel's condition and has offered to pay for all her medical needs.
Emilio asks Carlos what the doctors said. Carlos tells him that her heart hasn't been working well for quite some time. As a result, enough blood isn't getting to her organs. Especially her kidneys. She needs to start dialysis ASAP. And she can't work any longer. "No!" says Emilio. "If she stops working, she'll die. Isabel came here to do something important." Carlos says "what's best is to listen to the doctors."
Clara tells Mateo that she didn't plan to become pregnant and she doesn't know what to do. Mateo says he thinks she'll be a great mother. And whatever happens, he'll be there by her side. (Whatever that means or doesn't mean.)
He then says, "Maybe I should leave" and off he goes.
Emilio talks to Blanca about Isabel. "It was love at first sight when she met Benjamin. She was pregnant, and was accused of a crime she didn't commit. While she was in jail, they took her son from her."
Clara and Marga are sharing a double bed, I'm not sure where. Clara says she is terrified to find out whether she really is pregnant. Our mother and father were always exhausted.
Blanca offers Emilio a drink. He tells her that Gloria knows Isabel is Alberto's mother. Isabel has the right to see her son. Especially...since she's dying. He asks Blanca to please help him keep this secret.
Clara tells Marga that she wants to do so many things, and she wants professional success. Eventually, she'd like to be a mother, but much, much later. She then asks Marga whether there's someone important in her life. Marga hesitantly replies, "Maybe." "Do I know him?" Clara asks. Marga tells her it's someone she met online. Marga then tells Clara to get up, go to the bathroom, and take the pregnancy test.
Gloria comes home looking radiant. "Why are you so happy?" Val asks her. Gloria replies, "Your mother is about to change. Do you believe that?" Val replies, "In your case, no." Gloria says "I know you're skeptical. We haven't had a good relationship. But from now on, I'm going to be perfect." (What has she been smoking?) Gloria continues, "All you have to do is let someone advise you." Val recognizes that Gloria means she will advise her. Gloria continues, "Alberto is not doing a good job. Soon you will be the new president of Velvet."
Val sees the brochures for the Sahghattan event. She's delighted to see that, as Enrique promised, Ana's name is nowhere in the brochure. She embraces him and asks, "Have you ever thought that I could be president of Velvet?"
Alberto comes to Emilio's apartment with a bouquet of flowers for Isabel. Emilio said that the doctors said Isabel would be OK at home. And there's not much more they can do. Alberto expresses his sorrow and says he'll arrange for Velvet to cover all medical expenses. Emilio thanks him but says someone's already doing that. Carlos. (Ouch) Alberto says he'd like to see Isabel. Emilio explains that the doctors said she should have complete rest. Isabel, in the bedroom, overhears this conversation and calls out "Emilio, let him come!" Alberto enters and Isabel beams with pleasure. He asks her how she feels. "Like someone in her 20s," Isabel replies. There's a scrapbook on the table by her bed. Alberto asks whether he may look at it. Isabel says yes. He sees a photo of her as a singer in a Mexican outfit (which I think we saw in an early episode). She looks to be in her teens. And then he comes upon a photo of her with Alberto's father, Benjamin. "You're both so young," Alberto says. "And he's with you." And with that, the episode ends.
Arrgh, I knew I should have read this over before posting it. My obsessive self wants to correct three small errors at the start of the recap. At the end of paragraph 1, Ana leaves first ("she", not "he"). In paragraph 3, it should say "compliments," not "complements." And in paragraph 4, Isabel says he's just like his father.
Another show with a selfish husband. At least Timur seems to care a bit for Bahar. His mother, Nevra, is a witch with a b. The other woman belongs to that category also. Thankfully they found another donor. I guess it was from a cadaver. I liked her telling Timur she was going to teach him a lesson, you imbecile.
This episode still isn't available for me to watch. The Telemundo app seems to be 20 plus episodes behind. For some reason the YouTube TV didn't record it last night. Not that it would have helped much as my sound is still messed up. Thanks Juanita for the comprehensive recap. If it doesn't show up by 8 I'll have to skip the episode and jump to tonight's with crummy sound but hopefully complete CC's. That's another gripe I'm having with this show. The DVR version lags behind by like a minute at least. Very distracting and occasionally it tries to sync up so then I lose several lines of dialogue.
Just a wonderful recap, Juanita. I guess I'm slightly (only slightly) less obsessive than you are about my recaps being just right. I usually paste it in, read it once and then post. I usually find some error before I click "Publish". But I'm aghast when I don't find it until the next day!
Cris just could not grasp that anyone would not care that much about money. She admitted to Ana that she'd made a mistake including the dress, but I'm not sure if she divulged how upset Alberto was.
Maybe Cris will sniff out Sara and leave Ana alone for 90% of the rest of the novela. She walked in on them looking very intimate, but didn't seem to react.
Susan reminds me of a big cat on the prowl. She keeps narrowing Pedro's escape routes. It's laughable that she could get his name changed that quickly. I know someone who did that to give the stepfather her child's last name and it took weeks. This is not the first time a sneaky woman has used a child to land the man who doesn't love her. But...in the older novelas it was usually getting pregnant by another man.
Valeria, pfft! I can envision her as one of those cartoon figures we've seen many times. There's a devil on one shoulder (Enrique) and a sorta angel on the other (Alberto). I think there's going to be fireworks when Ana's erasure from the Saghattan creation takes place.
Laughed out loud at "No, Mateo, it's the woman". I think Clara's situation is going to be a false alarm. I especially thought that as she mused about all the things she planned to do before becoming a mother. And, as dondi said, Mateo is a crappy boyfriend, even though I suspect he's going to redeem himself at some point.
I kind of like the relationship between Marga and Clara. They both have problems in the romance department, but they're believable as sisters who would do anything for her sis.
The mother-in-law is awful awful awful!!!
I’m also looking forward to the lesson Bahar will teach Timur!
Babachita
Thanks VERY much, novelera, for your interesting and insightful comments. I should mention that when I recap, I too usually try to read what I've written before pasting and pushing "publish." Last night, however, I was exhausted and just wanted to get to bed. Sigh.
Yes, both in the earlier scene with Ana and later with Enrique, Cris shows herself to be both spoiled and vindictive.
I loved your description of Susan as a cat on the prowl!
I don't think I've changed my mind about another character as often as I have re Valeria. Her good and bad angels are pretty equally strong.
I hope you're right about Clara's having a false alarm. And yes, I suspect false alarm or not, she's likely to stay with Mateo. As someone who has had wonderful inlaws, I fear for Clara's having to deal with Mateo's mother and sisters.
Your recap was perfect, Juanita. Lol “it’s the woman who gets morning sickness”. Good one.
I’m glad Blanca and Max are keeping in touch.
No idea why they needed to mention Rick’s parents are very Catholic. I thought that was strange, too. Is that some sort of stereotyping?
I think Cris’ radar went off when she walked in on Sara and Albert, but she kept it under control. Maybe she’ll talk to Barbie about this.
ITA, novelera, totally ridiculous that Pedro could claim Peter that quickly. Is it too late for a DNA test? How quickly could he disown Peter? Although, I don’t know if Pedro could do that to the kid.
You never know what Valeria will do. She’s a very interesting character.
No words for Cris and Enrique in this episode except for—sucks.
