I’ve been watching on and off so far and wish I could recap again. What happened to the original recaps?

Well now I know why Asli as the eldest was not put in charge of the company. Bipolar to the Max. Did she make a house break the night of the murder or was it a different night. Nilufer used the same route when she escaped to be with Fatih.

Omg, is Tayyer harvesting organs from orphans or killing people for them? Can this guy get any worse?

Oh no! You got ahead of me again. I went back to the beginning and am finishing #13 now. I already did 17-23. So, I might catch up this weekend, but you are way ahead.

Tayyar is icky, awful. He is capable of anything. I guess there is a worldwide demand for organs, etc, from rich folks who can pay. Not surprising he is in that racket. It was darkly humorous when he killed a patient behind on his dental bill.

Asli is a mess. The actress is great, however.

Steve, I haven’t seen this telenovela. I looked it up and recognize some of the cast. I see that it is being shown again.

Also, you mentioned Pasion. That’s a great novela!

Babachita, I'm up to 31 now. Asli is a good actress. Now I understand why she quit taking her meds. If it were me I would too. Protection of the baby is all important.

So Omer has been approved for his transfer, but he'll be working in the organized crime unit, not homicide. Good, hopefully he'll catch Tayyer and Meltin (Fatih). Bad, he'll also probably also catch Elif.

Wow, now Tayyer wants to throw Faith in with the piranhas and have him disappear in 2 minutes if he doesn't get the job done. What a monster.

I still don't understand why Bahar wants her boyfriend (forgot his name) to date Elif. It's just weird. Is it so he has access to her house to search for the diamonds. Bahar seems to run tame there, calls Elif's mom tia, etc. I look at the Wikipedia listing to learn names, and they give spoilers when they give a description so I've known she is a two faced friend.

If Tayyer and Meltin did not kill Ahmed and Sybil then there definitely is a mystery going on. I've assumed they are the assassins though.

You tube is a fair choice for viewing this. The CC's aren't as good though. On the other hand they don't miss as many as ViX does. The names are really messed up. Good thing I already know most of them, at least thus far.

I am done catching up to where I started, but not caught up to you! It’s such a great story, so I’m enjoying it a second time.

Tayyer is so awful, I remember I wouldn’t watch this before going to bed or I’d have nightmares. You can see why Fatih is so messed up. I like watching his eyes soften with Nilufer. His situation is similar to Karsu’s Hasan-Mert. Hah! The “approved” brothers are both Mert! How funny! I just noticed this. But, Hasan is a mostly a sweetie and Tayyar is pure evil!

There was a Mexican version of this, Imperio de Mentiras. I saw that first, before KPA. There are some differences in the stories. So, I’m full of odd spoilers!
KPA is a much better production than the remake. And, of course, we have Engin in KPA!

Bahar and Levent is a strange relationship. I think she hopes he might marry Elif and get access to $$$, even if later divorced. He seems not as much into this plan. Right now he seems nice. I can’t recall what happens with him.

We got Vix Premium way back. It still has KPA, so that’s where I’m watching it. I’ve done some entire dizis on YouTube with good results, so I’m glad you can get it there. CC’s do vary a lot!

I just re-read this and realized that in Karsu, Mert was not the favored brother. So, I was wrong. They still use Mert in both Karsu and KPA, but one is the “favored” brother, and one is not. I’m sure you know this, but just to clarify!

Babachita, yeah, I got it. Meanwhile I'm comparing the sister in law, Malik I think, of Omer to busy body Mukaddes in Fatmagül, but in a less offensive way.

I can't believe Sybil's mom is going to let her other daughter get involved with Meltin! She did repent and tell her nevermind.

I was a bit confused when Ahmed and Sybil met at the cafe as to what was going on. Did she know the diamonds are false. I do know she was trying get money from him, I assume for her father's medical treatment also.

Since this is the only thing I'm watching on the weekends, I binge. During the week the other 3 shows keep me occupied.

Also, did Asli's mom ask Tayyer to abort her baby somehow? Another scene I was a bit confused about.

I'm trying to figure out what KPA is.... actually I am pretty sure I know what show it is, I just can't remember the actual name that goes with the initials. Are you watching on Netflix? I added that show to my list a while ago, but I haven't watched it yet.

As for ECDLP if the recaps are missing, they must have gotten mixed up in the time period we had to remove content because recaps we being stolen and reposted on other websites. There were several novelas that were removed entirely. This may have been one of them.
 

I just checked and the show I was thinking of isn't on Netflix anymore - but you are talking about Kara Para Ask, correct?

Hi Darcy, Yes, we are talking about Kara Para Aşk, aka Black Money Love or Amor de Contrabando. Unfortunately, it left Netflix early this year.

Kat, yes, Zerrin asked Tayyar about aborting Asli's baby. She is worried about Asli's mental health if she stops meds and the effects of Asli's meds on the baby. The hypocrisy of Tayyar professing a pro-life belief.

Kara Para Ask (Black Money Love) was on Netflix for several years but not now. It was recently on Vix, but was just dropped. That leaves YouTube. There are various versions there:
English dubbed, English captions
Spanish dubbed, Spanish captions
Turkish with Turkish captions, English captions, etc. etc.

Engin Akyurek (sp?) is in it, who played Kemal in Fatmagul and Sancar in hija del Embajador/Seferin Kizi IIRC.

It’s was remade in Mexico as Imperio de Mentiras with some changes.

Thank you for the details. I knew what it was I just never got around to watching sadly. I added it to my list right after watching Fatmagul but I didn't want to watch it right after because I was afraid I wouldn't be able to see Engin as anyone as Kerim for awhile... so I was waiting for the impact to fade. Then life got all life-y, you know how it goes.

I guess I waited too long for Netflix, too bad about Vix too! Perhaps I'll check out Youtube. I doubt I could catch up to you guys though, I haven't managed to make it through 5 episodes in a week in quite a while because my job has become all-consuming this year - watching 30+ episode to hurry and to catchup isn't possible. I'm glad you're all getting to discuss it though! :)

Kat, Melike is really annoying, but Mukkades gets the prize for annoying SIL. Sibel’s mom is weird as well. She is going to put her other daughter in the same business as Sibel. What sort of mother does that?!!!

One detail struck me. Tayyer was quite adamant that they hadn’t done the murder! He might be lying, but who else might have? Hmmmm!

Darcy, I had the same fear about seeing Engin back to back, but the part is so different and his hair is a little bit shorter. If you want to join in I can stall on watching. (I have 20 some Soltero con Hijas to catch up with for weekend watching) I watched none today as we had family over for a barbecue. I did discover if you have premium ViX Amor de Contrabando is still available. I don't have premium though.

Kat, thank you! That's so nice of you! I would really like to watch with you guys! Especially since I did find the trailer again earlier today and it looks AMAZING!!! I can use something really good to watch and some friends to watch it with. I'm still not sure I can catch up - but I'll try starting tonight!

I do actually have the premium Vix but I don't see Amor de Contrabando. I don't know if offerings differ by region or if it's been pulled since you found it, but I looked this evening and even checked both my TV and my phone just in case it varied. No luck.

I will check out YouTube now! :)
