Daytime TNs... Y Mas (#1), Week of Oct 13, 2025

Just a check to see if these are ok for next weekend. IIRC, Darcy is going to be away for a few weeks at some point.

Kat, I’m glad you’re keeping up with us. I don’t know exactly where you are on your health odyssey, but hope all goes well!

Looks good to me! And it's the last two weekends of the month (starting Oct 24 and 31) that I will be out of town. I will be traveling to the Caribbean on a Virgin Voyages Cruise for some much-needed fun in the sun - stress break with my sisters! I will actually be getting back before the end on the 2nd weekend but since I'll need to catch-up it will work better for me not to recap that weekend.
I will schedule the pages to post though so they'll be available for recaps and discussion.
Babachita, thanks for the well wishes. My health journey has been strange this past year. Last summer I discovered my eye issue, had surgery in Oct then cataract surgery in March. Now when I decide I've suffered long enough with my hip (I was told I need a new one just before my granddaughter was born in 2023, but I didn't think it was totally needed yet as I hadn't tried PT, which helped not at all, and when I went to the ortho.guy I kinda hoped a shot would be suggested. Nope, he said they do nothing for hips. Now my little granddaughter mentions how "Nana's hip hurts" all the time as it is a favorite phrase of mine when she wants to be carried or she wants me playing on the floor with her. Luckily I can still walk a couple of miles a day and the stroller is a great aid. I joke I may take the one we have at our house with a doll in it and use it for walks at home!
So all that to say, my health isn't life threatening, but it will be nice to walk relatively pain free (though my knees and lower back also have osteoarthritis so the pain will remain I fear). On the plus side I've lost about 15 pounds in 2 months. I could stand to lose 30 or 40 more, but I'll take the small results I've accomplished. If the hip is fixed I'm hoping 5 mile treks will be back for me. I'm hoping to get my surgery in mid Dec so there is less impact on my daughter trying to figure out daycare for a month. They get time off around the holidays.
Didn't finish my train of thought. I have one more root canal scheduled for the 28th, then I'm good to go as far as the dentist is concerned.
