In the abandoned building that Elif was taken to after being blindfolded:
Sami tells Elif to sit, with Omer walking behind her.
Ami: Listen to me, this place and our discussion will remain between us. No one will hear about this, not any of your family, your lawyer, not even the best of your friends. Do you understand that?
Omer: Not even my brother, Pelin, Arda: no one besides the three of us.
Elif: Why?
Omer: Because it’s necessary to save your life.
Elif: What do you want from me?
Omer: You need to work with us.
Elif: What type of work?
Sami: This dirty money gang, the ones that used you, you’ll do exactly as they say. We’re going to set a trap for them and catch them red-handed.
Elif: No, look I can’t do something like this. I’ll get caught.
Omer: You have to do it. They control you, they know everything about you.
Elif: Do you realize what you’re asking of me?
Omer: Do you think this is just going to go away? These men will use you until the end, until the time you’re one of them, then they’ll kill you. You’ll either be put in jail or your dead body will be found dumped somewhere. No one will know that you were innocent and didn’t want to be involved. It’ll be forgotten that you were a victim. Do you understand me?
Omer looks intently at Elif. [He would convince me with those marvelous eyes!]
Omer: We need you to help us and then we’ll help you. We’ll get rid of those guys.

Metin is in a car with a DVD. He’s very pensive. He is just outside of the Denizer home. A man opens the passenger door, “Sorry, sir, are you busy?”, he gets in the car. “We found the girl.”
Metin: Where did you find her?
The man answers, “At Mr. Tayyar’s house. She went there with some staff. She hasn’t left the house since.”
Metin continues to look pensive.

At Tayyar’s hospital:
Asli is fidgeting with magazines on the bed.
Tayyar: Dear Asli, I just got the news that you’re awake. May I come in?
Asli: (Very friendly) Of course you can.
She runs to him and gives him a big hug.
Asli: May I ask you something, where are all the family? I woke up and my mother is not here, Taner is gone. I can’t believe my mom, she’s never done this. Where are they?
Tayyar: Calm down, calm down. Come and have a seat first.
Asli: I’m calm.
Tayyar: I know, Sweetie, I know. (They sit). Asli, think carefully, what do you remember last?
Asli: Why do you want me to think about this? I had an argument in the shop with someone. One of my friends is having a baby. I was going to buy her a present. Then I had an attack there, I guess. My mom and Taner brought me here. These are the things that happened, but I’m really fine. I can go home, right?
Tayyar: (Nods) You’re quite alright. You’re fine, you know everything is just fine.
He looks pensive as he strokes her hair. [Kind of creepy!]

Back at the abandoned building:
Elif: Isn’t this too dangerous?
Omer: Trust us.
Elif: Let’s say I agree to do this.
Sami: Miss Elif, I think you should accept this as it’s either that or you’re going to end up in jail and that’s not something that either of us wants, is it? Now, let me tell you, you wouldn’t last one day in jail. A beautiful girl like you, it’ll be like 100 years. Now, I think you should accept this gift.

KPA 41 #2

Elif: Let’s say I accept this, what will you want me to do exactly?
Omer: When was the last time Metin called you?
Elif: A few days before, when I learned that my mom had passed away.
Omer: And what did he tell you?
Elif: He wants me to carry money to Rome. I don’t know, I couldn’t really understand about that there may be a new courier or something.
Omer: What did you say to him?
Elif: I hung up straight away because I wanted to get rid of them, Omer.
Sami: So, it looks like we’re on the same side. That’s good. If Metin calls again, answer the phone and treat him as you did before, talk to him in a calm way and don’t make him suspicious. Accept anything he tells you. Is that OK now? So, here’s what we really do. You’ll go to Rome and we’ll be following and we’ll know everything you do. There’s a catch: you’re going to have to launder money again, but then we’ll swoop and we’ll catch Metin. That’s the end of your involvement. And then we’ll squeeze Metin and find the real criminals.
Sami: Now look, let me tell you, it’s not going to be just as easy as that. This is going to require some courage. Omer really trusts you; he thinks that you can handle this. Isn’t that right?
(Long look between E and O.)
Omer: For sure, Chief.
Sami: OK, you’ve got five minutes, get out, have a walk around and come back, but this conversation will not be repeated. OK? So play along or you’ll go to jail for a long time, you know, given the gravity of all of your earlier crimes.
Omer: Or, perhaps you’ll put the people in jail who made your life and your family’s life miserable. You’ll clear your name and you won’t be punished. Elif, your dad’s murderer is also at the end of this process. There is a chance to punish people who could ruin your life. That’s why you need to think carefully as the decision has to be yours.
Very serious looks all around. Elif gets up.
Elif: I need some fresh air. She leaves.
Omar and Sami look concerned. Omer opens a window, they watch her.
Sami: What do you think? You think she can handle it?
Omer: I saw her take on so many things alone, she’ll take this on, too. I’m sure
She looks and sees Omer in the window, watching her intently. She walks back in.
Elif: I agree.
Sami: Well done. I knew you’d make the right decision.
Elif: But I sent a letter of application to the public prosecutor, and my lawyer is at the police station right now.
Sami: Don’t you worry about those things. That’s for us to take care of.
Omer: Yeah, don’t worry, just take care of Sebnem. She is the only one who knows that you got into this issue besides us.
Elif: Sebnem won’t let me down.
Omer: Everyone has a person they love in life, Elif. We know, how much you trust a person to the breaking point, and we only want one thing from you. Be aware. Don’t trust anyone. Don’t tell anyone. If anyone else knows, Metin will hear about it. He’ll hate that you’re working with the police, and he’ll make sure that you pay for it. I’m not making this up, Elif.
Elif: I won’t tell anyone this.
Omer: I know how discreet you can be when you want to be.
All three stare at each other.

Pinar on the boat, in bad shape. She hears sounds outside and tries to call out, “I’m here,” but it’s very faint. The door opens and some coast guard people enter. [Hooray!]

Sami (driving), Omer, and Elif in the van outside of the new, smaller Denizer Holding office building.
Elif: What are we going to do? When will we meet again?
Sami: Wait for information from us. Omer will contact you.
Omer: Talk to Metin as you always do, in a calm so he doesn’t get suspicious.
Elif: Omer, I’ve got it. You don’t have to repeat it a thousand times. I’m not stupid or deaf.
Omer: Just let me do my job properly then neither of us will be unhappy.
Elif: I won’t upset you, don’t worry.
Door of van opens, Elif gets out. She and Omer continue to stare at one another; no smiles here.
They drive off.

KPA 41 #3

Sami and Omer eating in a waterside restaurant on a boat.
Sami: The girl, she didn’t say no, that’s good.
Omer: She didn’t really have a choice in the matter.
Sami: Yeah, if you say so.
Omer: Oh man! Waiter, can you come here? All I asked for was decent tea, and you brought something like tar!
Waiter says he’ll change it immediately. [In this scene it seems like our generally kind Omer is highly stressed and is taking it out on the poor waiter.]
Omer: Please just being us a new pot, thanks.
Sami: I understand you’re excited. We’re going to catch a huge gang here. We’ll also find your fiancée’s killer. But I think you’re hiding something from me, boy.
Omer: What else do you want me to say? You know our job is to rid the world of crime.
Sami: Yes, but there is something that you’re hiding from me and I’m sure of it. Look this is the last time I’m going to ask you about this, so give me an honest reply, is there something between you and Elif? Is congratulations in order?
Omer: I didn’t think it was important, Chief.
Sami: It’s not a good time to make me angry. You definitely know that this is important. Don’t talk to me in a flippant manner. I’m sure you know that this can blow the entire operation.
Omer: I promise, I’ll take care of it. Let’s not let a little thing like this come between us, OK?
Sami: And also bitterness of the heart. So, what do these guys know about you?
(Omer makes a face and throws some food into the water.)
Omer replies: Everything.
The waiter brings a fresh pot, promising it’s on the house (boat), hoping they will like the tea this time. Omer thanks him and may have given him a tip.
Omer: They know everything: that I’m a policeman, the relationship between me and Elif.
Sami: Weaknesses bring danger. You know this better than anyone. You can’t protect yourself and her as well. You’re in the middle of all of this, and if your heart starts to take over, that’s a problem.
Omer: (Looks unhappy.)
Sami: Look, this is my first warning: there will be nothing between Elif and you. If I find there is, I’ll fire you and continue myself, and you’ll be responsible for it.
Omer’s face looks like a storm cloud.

Denier Holding:
Elif, in her office, is looking out the window, pensively. Mr. Levent comes in. He brings a big bouquet of flowers. She tells him she is doing well and asks about him. They sit.
Elif: We haven’t spoken yet about this resignation issue. I know why you’re sad and why it’s like this. It’s my fault and I’m sorry.
Levent: I’m not sad, Elif. The truth is I thought it would be better if I leave.
Elif: But it won’t be better for the company. You and Bahar are the only ones I can assign my father’s company to. You know that.
Levent (looking pleased): Of course.
Elif: Look, this is your workplace. The expenses are getting less because of you. We can make the right plans.
Levent: Yeah, this is my work.
Elif: Then, please, don’t leave. I need your support, Levent.
Levent: I don’t really want to go, but you know there’s a problem.
Elif: What?
Levent: It’s your boyfriend, Omer. He won’t be happy at all if I’m here and he’ll make you miserable about it and it would break my heart to see you so sad.
Elif: No, this won’t be a problem. Things aren’t the same with Omer anymore.
Levent: So, then, I’ll stay here as long as you need me here.
Elif: Thank you so much, Levent.
Phone rings, Elif answers, Levent leaves.
Elif: Hello Uncle Tayyar.

At Elvan’s house: Elvan is sweeping the sidewalk, briskly.
Melike: Mom, don’t wait for your son. I don’t think he’ll come.
Elvan: You’d better go watch your bread baking.
Melike says it won’t burn, but she’ll turn off oven if it will help Elvan.
[Elvan normally has such a calm disposition. She really seems out of sorts here.]
Omer walks in.
Elvan: There you are!
Omer: What’s the emergency?
Elvan: Nothing that important but Can and Farat are waiting for you here.
Omer asks why.
Elvan: Today is the day of the circumcision of Can. [This is a major celebration in Türkiye.] Don’t even tell me that you forgot.
Omer groans, “I forgot!”
Elvan: They’ve been back and forth since yesterday. I called you so many times, but I couldn’t reach you.
Omer: Mom, I had really important business, otherwise I wouldn’t have forgotten.
Melike shows up: We know those important things, good, good. Omer, her (meaning Elif) mother died a short time ago, don’t leave her alone. Elif is so fragile. She’s not like us.
Omer goes up the stairs without commenting.
Elvan to Melike: First think, then talk, okay my lovely daughter?
Melike: OK, Mom.

Fish tank in Tayyar’s basement office.
Tayyar: I thought I’d not be able to reach you. You were talking about going away. What about that? (It’s Elif he’s talking to.)
Elif: The plan had to change; I had to cancel it.
Tayyar: Good, I’m glad you canceled it. You’ll tell what’s on your mind to your uncle Tayyar.
Elif: I’ll tell you when the time is right, you know that.
Tayyar: OK. You know that I won’t pressure you.
Elif: When will Asli’s doctor come out? I want to see her quickly.
Tayyar: They’ll inform us in a moment.
Door knock. Girl brings in coffee.
Tayyar: I couldn’t drink my coffee today because I was so angry.
Elif: Tell me what.
Tayyar: This morning the security manager came. All of the security videos are gone! He told me that all of them had been stolen. All of the video recordings in Asli’s room and the corridors were stopped. You know, your mother was sensitive regarding some issues. You know there were lots of journalists, bad people around. You know she didn’t want the illness to be heard about. I’m not sure how many of these records have been taken and how many are still here. I was angry at that and I just fired them all.
Elif: Did you inform the police?
Tayer: Of course, I most certainly did.

Elvan’s home: Farat is talking with Omer in the living room.
Farat: You were on duty, dear Omer, and you were busy when we talked about this, It’s normal, of course, that you may forget.
Omer: Dear Farat. How could I forget? Could a godfather (kirve) forget his duty? I just mix up the dates; I’m working so much.
Farat: Please, don’t worry about it. I know your soul and your heart; I don’t get offended by you. Hey, it’s almost finished, isn’t it? Hopefully we’ll have the circumcision tonight and then we’ll all be very happy.
Elvan: Hopefully, hopefully, hopefully.

KPA 41 #5

Kids running with Melike in pursuit: Leave it, don’t run away. Cem is dressed in his costume, looking like a prince, trying to get something (might be a sword) away from Husseyn’s son, Hasan. Hasan shouts he just wants to show it, and Omer grabs it.
Elvan: There’s nothing to be afraid of, my child. Be brave.
Hasan: I really won’t do anything, I just want to pretend like you’re doing on TV, he won’t be frightened, it won’t hurt.
Farat: Brave son. (to Hasan): Of course you’re calm because you were circumcised a while ago.
Hasan: It doesn’t hurt; they only take a little.
Omer jokes that they had to look for Hasan the whole day because he was hiding!
Hasan: I was only hiding to play a game. I swear it didn’t hurt at all.
Melike says her son didn’t get frightened at all. She asks Cem if he is frightened. She says he’ll be afraid for a very short time. She tells him what will happen, and after the doctor is there, they’ll toss (the foreskin) into some rice, and that’s all there is to it. Elvan is getting annoyed.
Elvan: Let’s shut up and go to the house where it’ll all be done. We need to ask if they need anything, right?
Omer to Cem: Come on here, hero, don’t be shy now. I’ll call Arda and Pelin and they’ll come, too. Come on.
Elvan: We’ll come as well.

Tayyar’s house, in the garden by the pool.
Mert greets Nilufer: Good morning, sleeping beauty.
Nilufer: Good morning.
Mert shows her some pancakes and orange juice. Mert: A real American breakfast, our egg is with milk, the coffees area ready. Enjoy!
Nilufer: (Eating something) Did you really make this?
Mert: Exactly.
Nilufer: It’s really nice, but I don’t really have an appetite.
Mert: Oh, don’t think about Elif anymore. You’ll get better.
Nilufer: How can I not think about her. Look at my situation. I’m all alone. I don’t have a mom from now on. There’s no one around to help me or understand me anymore.
Mert: Nonsense, I’m here. You’re not alone.
Nilufer: You’re the only one I trust, now. I don’t have anyone other than you.
Mert: Of course, we’re friends
Nilufer is working up to ask him something.
Nilufer: I can ask for help from you, right?
Mert: About what?
Nilufer: Can I borrow your phone just once? Uncle Tayyar will not know, just once, please Mert. Mert: You’re going to call him, right? You’re going to call your lover.
Nilufer: What’s with you?
Mert: Forget about the phone. (Mert walks off.)
Nilufer runs after, begging.
Mert: Do you think I’m stupid, Nilufer? Don’t think I didn’t understand the things that you told me about your “friend’s” issue. I know that man will have those recordings. That man, whoever he is, is disgusting. I can’t let you talk to him.
He leaves, Nilufer’s eyes are flashing with anger and frustration.

AT Tayyar’s hospital:
Elif: Uncle Tayyar, I think I can take Nilufer off your hands now.
Tayyar: Are you sure? That man calls her continuously,. There are at least 20 missing calls on her phone today. It’s obvious he’s not going to leave her alone. Who is this man?
Elif: A loser.
Tayyar: OK, let us complain about him to the police. They’ll take care of him and punish him for it.
Elif: No, there’s no need for that. The only thing that will be enough for me is him not to see Nilufer.
Tayyar: Don’t worry any more about that. He’ll not even see Nilufer’s finger if she stays here cared for by me.

KPA 41 #6

(A doctor walks by.)
Elif: Isn’t that Asli’s doctor? That means therapy is over. Come on.
Tayyar: Elif, wait a minute. I need to tell you something about Asli. She can’t remember that your mother is dead.
Elif: How come? Is it memory loss?
Tayyar: Uh, it’s partial loss. Her brain was damaged when she came to the hospital.
Elif: Oh no!
Tayyar: This is a really big trauma for the human brain, especially for Asli. Asli doesn’t want to remember these things.
Elif: She’ll have the same pain again
Tayyar: Oh, my beautiful girl. I cannot bandage your wounds for you. I know you have a really heavy load on your shoulders, and I’m really upset for you. Let me talk to Asli, and I’ll tell her this in the most appropriate way I can.
Elif: No, it’s my job to explain this to Asli. Humans can stand the deepest pain if they can hear it from someone really close to them. I must tell her about our mother.
Tayyar: OK, ok. He has his hand on her shoulder for support.
[Tayyar is very convincing here—he almost has me convinced he cares.]
Elif walks into room, leaving Tayyar with sort of a smirk on his face.
Asli: I thought you had left me here. Tell Mom and Taner not to come back anymore because they left me here and didn’t come back.
Elif: Let’s have a seat. We can talk a bit.
Asli: OK, I know what you’ll say. Everyone is mad at me so they have an attitude, right?
Elif (Takes Asli’s hand.): Sister, there’s something I need to tell you. We lost our mom in an accident.
Asli (Cries): No, No, Mom!

Uncle Tayyar in the hall heading to his basement.
Tayyar: What have you done, Mr. Metin?
Metin: I was working.
Tayyar: What about Elif?
Metin: She went out of the house early this morning. I caught up with her at the office, and she went inside. She then came to you. I know every step that she made.
Tayyar: But you don’t know where she was between the time of leaving the house and the time of arriving at the office. You don’t think, Metin because love rules your brain and starts to work on your heart, a kind of unnecessary waste of energy people used to commit suicide, shooting themselves in the heart. Now they’re shooting themselves in their heads, can you think why that would be? They changed the targets from the heart to the head, can you think?
Metin: Will you shoot me in the head if I don’t answer? [Metin asks this with a straight face; it made me chuckle.]
Tayyar: I’ll do that as well, it’s near, but I’ll reply to my own question, if you wish. It’s in order to shut their minds, the, heart is shutting down, the brain is working these days. You do the same thing immediately, because I’m holding your heart, it’s in my hand. She’ll live with me in my house with Mert and me, do you understand that?
[Poor Metin, his father is so cruel.]
Tayyar continues: Don’t make Elif watch the recordings until I tell you to do so. She’ll then hear about the suicide of Taner. She’ll be destroyed. Let her live the pain, she’ll come to herself, then you’ll make her watch the video.
Tayyar offers Metin a drink.
Metin asks: Finished?
Tayyar: Not yet. I rented a new house for you. You’ll move in tomorrow. You’ll stay in a hotel until then. You’ll never tell your girlfriend about your house from now on. OK? You’ll not put yourself or our job or me into danger. It’s finished now.
Tayyar walks off, leaving a pensive Metin.

KPA 41 #7

Bahar enters her place and sees packed luggage at the front door. Levent comes out to the front door.
Levent: I’m going to leave, Bahar.
Bahar: Where are you going?
Levent: I’m leaving you, it’s over.
Bahar: Don’t talk nonsense, my love, what leaving? Take the luggage all back.
Levent: I guess you don’t understand. I’m leaving you.
Bahar: Are you really serious? She starts to beg him to stay. Give me another chance.
Levent: Bahar, let me go.
She steps aside and he starts to leave.
Bahar: You fell in love with Elif, didn’t you? That’s why you are abandoning me.
Levent: I don’t know if I’m in love with Elif, but I do know I’m not in love with you anymore, Bahar. The only guilty one on this subject is yourself.
He leaves, and Bahar cries unconsolably.

At the circumcision ceremony:
Very festive, lots of food and colorful streamers and banners. Kids are running around.
Omer is trying to connect a string of lights. Arda says he connected the wrong wires.
Omer: Well, you can install a lightbulb. You’re telling me this now?
Arda: What happens if I can’t do something?
Omer: Just shut up and hand it to me. (puts bulb in.). Tell them to turn it on. It’s working. Go tell them to turn the lights are on! (To a boy.)
Melike tells kids not to run and get sweaty.
Lights go on. Omer offers Arda a lesson.
Omer calls to Farat: We are going in the car.
Melike worries about the food getting cold. Elvan says the melted oil will warm it when it’s added later. Melike offers a bowl to Pelin, telling her she will love it. I’m not just saying it, because I cooked it myself.
Pelin: It smells so good. It’s delicious! Where’s Omer and the others?
Melike: He’s just left from here. They went to decorate the car. Forget them, let’s serve anyway. People will come from work. They’ll probably be hungry. Come on.
At the car, putting stickers and decorations, Arda says: You said you wanted to decorate the car, so we got them.
Omer: This makes things look good. I just remembered something,
What about the gold issue?
Arda: Pelin’s on it.
Omer: Have you seen Husseyn?
Arda: Not at all today.
Omer: Didn’t he come to the police station?
Arda: No, you’re treating me strangely these days. We normally don’t know where you are, either. Pelin and I speak about you all the time. Why are you so mysterious?
Omer: Laughs. Mysterious!
Adding a bumper sticker.
Arda: How about Elif?
Ome: I have better things than to worry about Elif, ok.
Arda: If you don’t have anything to give her, stay away, OK?
Omer: Exactly.
Arda: What about this black money issue, I mean Elif’s issue?
Cem is running form Hasan. Omer tells him no fighting. Tell your friends we are going to have a ride in the car so that the neighborhood see what style is. Run Run!
Farat: Dear Omer, my lovely brother, everything would not be as good if you weren’t here. I’m preparing a perfect circumcision for my son. You showed everyone what Kirve means, I pray that you’ll have a son and I’ll hold him on my shoulders one day.
Omer: It’s over for us, Farat.
Arda: Why are you saying this? Both of you will have to be at my son’s special ceremony, you know.
Kids run to the car. Hasan wants to sit in the front. No, Cem says, I’ll sit in the front. This is my circumcision.

Hasan: I told you it wouldn’t hurt, but I lied. It will hurt a lot. I promise it will hurt a lot. Cem looks at him seriously.

End of episode 41.

Both of Husseyn and Melike’s kids are acting out. Demet was taking things at Elif’s and Hasan was being very mean to his friend, Cem, here. I wonder if they sense that something is amiss with their father? Melike would drive me crazy if she were my mother, but her heart is in the right place. Both kids need some help.

KPA

Thank you Babachita! Fantastic recap!

So, Pinar was still on the boat, and I got confused - which means I confused you too Kat, sorry! I went back and rewatched the scene with Tayyar in episode 40 and I realized the police captain was saying that Taner's woman (Asli) was still in intensive care.... I thought they were talking about Pinar, I apologize again. I need to pay more attention but it's hard to do with Tayyar because he creeps me out so much!!

Episode 41 was a good one and your recap clears up so much Babachita. My Spanish is pretty good but there are some things that go over my head just because they aren't common conversation and I don't necessarily look them up - like specific medical terms/diagnosis in shows. I'm glad you got this episode because I didn't know this was a circumcision celebration at all when I watched it! LOL Very interesting! I could tell it was a celebration for the kid for some medical reason, but I had no idea what specifically.

Sami says he'll fire Omer - so are they officially working together? So, Omer is officially uncover? A double agent? I thought they were sort of unofficial off books behind everyone's back, but then they need to be official to protect Elif.

I wonder if Asli really doesn't remember of if she's playing dumb? I could see it going either way after the trauma of accidentally killing her mother.

Tayyar does seem to care sometimes, doesn't he? And then you hear he wants Elif to suffer the maximum amount possible. It's a crazy split. I love how Fatih seems so unaffected by Tayyar's threats sometimes, it's an almost fascinating dynamic - if it wasn't so sad and twisted.

KPA

Thanks, Babachita, for the complete recap.

Darcy, Sami and Omer are unofficial. He just won't work with Omer anymore if he screws up. Perhaps it was a not so great translation. I believe Babachita is recapping from the English dubbed eps.

Circumsicion (sünnet) is a big deal, a rite of passage of social and religious significance. It is a big honor for Omer to be asked to be the kirve.

Tayyar is a psychopath. I think he doesn't care about anyone but he's got to pretend at times so he doesn't get caught. Erkan Can is amazing as Tayyar.

KPA

Yes, I’m doing the English route this time. I catch erroneous translations sometimes, but not always.

I had thought it was officially (from very high up) a secret mission for the three of them under Sami. Sami seems to be in charge and secrecy is required. Unofficial. Hmmm…. What could go wrong?

The Tayyar actor is a wonderful actor. Does he ever play a good guy?

Babachita

KPA

Babachita, I've seen Erkan Can in a couple of other projects and he wasn't a bad guy. KPA might have been somewhat of a departure for him. Anyway, the whole cast of KPA is amazing!

Saturday recap coming shortly.

KPA #42 part 1

The “sünnet”, with Omer as the “kirve”, has occurred. Time for the party. Omer congratulates little Can on how brave he was. Hasan begs to differ. Gifts (money) are placed on the circumcised boy’s bed. Hasan makes another comment about the gifts and is shooed away. A guest asks Omer to speak with his son about becoming a police officer. Omer promises to do that.

Elvan looks on with happiness and pride. She tells Arda, this was a nice circumcision after so much pain. I feel alive again. Children always make you smile. I wish my Huseyin was here. Arda says he will probably come soon. Omer comes to their table. He asks mom, what are you looking at? Nothing, Elvan replies, I was just loving you from afar. She gets up from the table to look for a friend.

Cut to Melike gossiping with a group of women about Elif and Omer. It will be a wonderful wedding, worthy of our name, she says. A woman comments, how quickly he forgets his fiancée. Omer is close enough to eavesdrop. He’s not pleased. Of course he’ll forget, Melike says, Sibel can’t be Omer’s downfall. But this girl is not like that. She’s a beautiful lady, a sultan’s daughter. Save your money to dress well for the wedding because it will be high society.

Omer interrupts and asks Melike to come with him. He asks, what are you telling people? Don’t get mad, she replies, isn’t she your girlfriend? Hasan runs up to them—Amca! Elif Abla is here! Omer is shocked and nervous. He goes to meet her.

Elif tells him she went to his house to see him and neighbors told her he was here. Should I not have come? He says, no… but has anything happened? She says, there’s nothing to worry about, but I was wondering… today… was this your idea? It doesn’t matter, Omer replies, you need to think about this and prepare yourself. It’s important to me, Elif answers, because if it was your idea, it means you’re trying to help me. It means I’m still somewhere inside you. Omer tells her this is not the time or place. You should go. Let’s leave it for now.

Melike comes hurrying over. Welcome, Elif! She tells Omer that everyone is waiting for him. It’s the kirve who starts the music and first dance. Omer says he’s coming. Awkward looks all around. Omer finally tells Elif to relax and enjoy herself. Melike tells Elif to come and dance a little, not to get bored. Elif says she’s fine where she is.

Omer quips, she (Elif) doesn’t understand this type of dance. She only knows flamenco and tango. He walks away and asks for the music to start. Melike asks Elif again to come but Elif resists. Melike says, come, teach us this flamenco. She pulls Elif into the party.

Omer dances, surrounded by Arda, Pelin, and Ferhat (the circumcised boy’s dad). Elif watches with a smile. Melike tells her this is our version of flamenco. Omer criticizes the way Arda is dancing. Pelin gets a jab in, too.

KPA #42 part 2

Melike tells Elif she really loves this song.

Song: Hayatı Tespih Yapmışım/I Made My Life a Rosary - Ferman Toprak
YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YVJKSCN8CQA&list=RDYVJKSCN8CQA&start_radio=1

Omer can’t resist looking over at Elif. Arda and Pelin notice. Pelin motions to Elif to join them. Elif waves it off. Melike encourages Elif to join the dance. Elif finally joins the dance. Omer is shocked at first. He watches her for a second. Then he begins to get into a rhythm with Elif. They don’t take their eyes off each other. The rest of the world disappears for them.

This singer speaks part of the song here:
Brother, do you know that this life is like a rosary?
If you have trouble, you will know how to bear it.
When you are happy, you will know how to shake it.
But be yourself, you will never upset your friend.
Let life teach you this lesson too
My friend Let everything be yours
Let neither troubles come to you nor me
We're walking together You've made life a rosary.

Elif imagines Omer as her groom in his suit, with money pinned to it, dancing and smiling at her. He imagines her as his bride dancing with him. Then we see the full picture—Elif and Omer, husband and wife, dancing at their wedding, family and friends around.

The song ends. Everyone applauds, except Elmer—they keep dancing, eyes fixed on each other, in rhythm to imaginary music. Arda reaches over to Omer, the song is over. Oops. Omer kind of compliments Elif, hey, you were not bad. Melike quips—what do you mean? She was perfect. Pelin takes Melike away. Ferhat calls for more music.

Elif starts walking. She says she’s going to give congratulations and then go. Omer follows her. Elif congratulates Can and calls him brave. His mother thanks her and says, hope you have the same if you have a child. Elif places money in the bed. She’s going to leave now.

Omer thinks Elif doesn’t like being there, that she’s uncomfortable. It’s the opposite, she responds, it’s just that I don’t want to disturb you. I also grew up in this country, komiser… I mean, just because my family is well to do… good night. He watches her get in her car and drive off. [Omer, you blew it again.]

The party continues and Omer sits at a table with Arda and Pelin. He’s drinking and feeling a bit down. Pelin says that Elif really surprised them tonight. Omer says he needs another drink. Pelin comments that Omer is stressed out just like Elif is. Arda goes to get the drink. Pelo tells Omer that there are some things we can’t escape from in life. Omer tries changing the subject.

Huseyin arrives at the party. He’s got news for our group. Taner committed suicide last night. Omer is ticked— why didn’t they tell us sooner? Huseyin says they tried contacting the family first. Omer starts to walk. He wants to go to the crime scene. Huseyin stops him—there is no crime scene. The guy was guilty, so he killed himself. That’s all. Omer is convinced that it’s a cover up. The case isn’t over for me, he says and leaves. They all follow.

KPA #42 part 3

Our guys question Taner’s cellmate. I would have stopped him, he says, but I didn’t hear anything. I’m a heavy sleeper. I woke up and saw what happened, may Allah forgive his sins. Then I shouted for the guards. He also left a letter. The DA took it. That’s the truth. Omer is suspicious. He looks around the room.

Omer asks for gloves, and he picks up something from under the bed. I can’t tell what it is. Does it belong to Taner? Huseyin interjects, we don’t know when these places are cleaned. Who knows who it belongs to. Omer says it’s possible Taner dropped it during a struggle. Arda comes in with the letter. It says: “May my wife forgive me.”

We get a flashback to Taner’s murder scene. A guard interrupts and tells the killer that Taner needs to write a letter first. Taner tries to bribe them with a large sum of money. The guard tells him to write the letter or die. Taner writes: “I was the one who killed your father.” Omer reads. Huseyin thinks that proves it. Omer still wants to follow up. Ah, and it was a button that Omer found under the bed. Our guys leave. The dirty guard is there to lock the door.

Omer, Arda and Pelo, go to Tayyar’s house. Omer asks to talk to Tayyar. He asks Tayyar if he can speak with Pinar. Tayyar asks why. Omer says it’s about the murder of Ahmet and Sibel. Tayyar replies, I thought Taner was arrested, and the case was closed? Omer says the investigation is ongoing. Can you call Pinar? Pinar isn’t here, Tayyar answers. Omer says if she’s with her mother, please call her or give me the address.

Tayyar tells Omer that Pinar left him, they separated. He acts the part of a dumped husband. Omer wants an address. Tayyar plays the victim. Did you come to rub salt in my wounds? Omer apologizes. Tayyar realizes that Omer will have to search, investigate and ask questions. Omer apologizes again, shakes Tayyar’s hand and turns. Omer smiles as if he’s on to something. Tayyar is worried this won’t go away so easily.

Elif is at home with Bahar. She confides, I started hearing voices in the house. I guess that’s what happens when you’re all alone. Bahar answers, I think you should move, sell the house, you need the money now. Maybe this house is bad luck. Elif is sad. My parents are still in this house. This is our home. I’ll fight to the end. I won’t lose this home. I’ll do what it takes.

Doorbell rings. It’s Omer with Arda and Pelo. Elif knows it’s something bad. He gives her the news about Taner and gives her a hug.

We see Pinar in bed. She’s being monitored, IV, oxygen, etc.

Taner’s funeral. Asli crouches by the grave and cries. Elif and Nilu stand by. Asli stops by Zerrin’s grave, too. She lays her head on it. Her sisters comfort her.

Huseyin plays with his son from another mother. Mom comes in and it’s a happy family scene.

That night we see Elif crying at home at a window. We see Omer on the other side of the street. Then he gets in his car and leaves.

KPA #42 part 4

2 days later…

Omer brings Taner’s suicide letter to an expert for examination. A drawing catches his eye. Looks like a dervish drawn with Arabic script. Omer asks the man about the picture. He gives the picture to Omer and says he can have it. He makes them to share with others. Omer asks for the meaning of the picture.

Omer comes to Denizer Holding and he has the picture. While he’s waiting in Elif’s office he looks around for a suitable place to hang it. Elif enters he hides the pic behind his back. He gets a cool reception. He asks, how are you? She’s managing. He says he wanted to give her some time before contacting her again. She says she’ll be fine, if he’s not coming with bad news again.

Do you think I enjoy being the bearer of bad news, Omer asks. It’s how your job works, Elif replies, you can make me sad or other people sad. What difference does it make to you? She asks, what’s that you have? A gift for your new office, he says. Elif says it’s beautiful. He tells her it’s from a calligrapher friend. It reminded him of her. She asks, do you know what’s written here? Of course, he says. Either be as you are seen or be seen as you are. Find a wall for it. When you look at it, you can remember me.

Omer says, now let’s go. She asks where. No questions, he replies. She says she can’t go, she’s got work to do. He insists. She leaves with him, complaining, I’m tired of this game. Maybe you should put a sack on my head again. I can do that, if necessary, he replies. He buys simit from a nearby cart. She says she’s not hungry.

Bahar arrives and sees Omer. She’s snarky—well, look who’s here. Omer takes the simit and walks with Elif to his car. Levent drives up and is disappointed when he sees Elif and Omer together. Omer glares at him. Elif greets Levent and gets into Omer’s car. They drive away. Bahar watches her sad ex-bf as he watches Elif leave.

Omer seethes, that nasty guy still works at your company? She asks, what guy? That Levent. Omer is jealous again. He chomps on his simit. She says he misunderstands. She tells him her workplace is not his concern.

Crooked chief Ali is with the homicide group. He asks, did you find anything on that button? Pelo says the button didn’t come from Taner’s shirt and there are fingerprints from some other person. Arda adds that the rope Taner used only has his fingerprints. Ali proclaims it a definite suicide. Of course, Huseyin agrees.

Arda and Pelo argue to keep the case open. Arda says how do we know Taner wasn’t forced to write the letter? Omer visited Taner the day before he died and said he would give the name of the person involved. Why would Taner want to make a deal if he wanted to die? Pelo asks for one more day to find something, and if they can’t, they’ll close the case. Ali agrees and leaves.

Huseyin is ticked at Arda and Pelo. And where the heck is Omer? They tell Huseyin that Omer was checking out the letter. Huseyin is suspicious and likely worried.

Elmer are walking now. He talks about using body language to analyze people’s intentions. She thinks that it’s just stuff made up to sell books. Omer disagrees. A person can easily lie but the body acts unconsciously. Elif notes that not everyone acts the same way. Omer explains, when we lie, our pupils shrink, hands go to the face, we avert our eyes. If a person is sincere, he shows his palms.

KPA #42 part 5

Elif is still skeptical. You know all this? You understand who’s a liar and who’s not? Who’s a murderer? Omer says, if it’s not out of the ordinary, I’ll understand. Try and maybe you’ll understand, too. Elif says she wouldn’t want to know when everyone lies. It wouldn’t be good… especially for you. Omer says he would never lie. She looks at him. [lol did he just tell a lie?]

Omer suddenly pulls Elif to the side. He points out an old woman across the way. He points out a younger woman fussing with a child, not too far from the old woman. He says the old woman will steal another woman’s wallet. Elif doesn’t believe it. Omer points out how the old woman is acting and that the woman with the child is in on it. Omer is right, the old woman takes the wallet. No worries, the cops are there to take care of it. Elif’s first lesson completed.

Cops come to question Pinar in the hospital. She asks if anyone was notified that she’s there. The cop says no. She had no ID or phone with her. He asks, do you remember your name or what happened? Pinar looks scared. She says she doesn’t remember her name or what happened. [Can’t be sure if Pinar is lying.] The cops talk about searching the boat for evidence and leave.

Tayyar and Fatih are at the shore, and they are talking about the boat. Fatih tells him not to worry, the boat isn’t registered in either of their names. Tayyar wants to know where Pinar is. Fatih says a fisherman saw the boat. The Coast Guard came and took it. Nobody knows anything. Tayyar is furious. He smashes a tea glass down on a table and doesn’t even care if he’s cut. Don’t tell me this! Find that woman! Silence her before she talks!

Elmer are now walking in the woods. Elif says she would have worn something more suitable if she knew they would be there. Omer says you can’t always plan for that. Is someone watching them? We get a view of Elmer from a pair of binoculars. Neyse… it’s time for signorina’s next lesson. Omer marks an X on a tree. Elif snarks, are we playing hide and seek?

Omer walks back to Elif and takes out his gun and holds it out to her. She is appalled. She won’t take the gun. She doesn’t want anything to do with it. She asks, weren’t you going to be with me all the time? Why do we need to do this? And I’m not going to shoot a tree. He retorts, one day you might have to shoot a person. I’ll never, she answers.

Omer supposes. What if they find out you’re an informant and try to kill you? You’re at home alone at night. Maybe they take out the guard. They go to your bedroom and put a gun to your head. Bang. Elif is frightened. Omer tells her that fear doesn’t protect you from death. Then he tells her not to be afraid because he will likely be with her. He’s only preparing her in case he’s not there. Okay, but she doesn’t want to shoot a tree.

We see it’s Sami who is spying on Elmer in the woods.

And we are out.

KPA

That scene where Omer is training Elif really shows their mutual attraction. I think the actors are wonderful conveying this! Then, we see Sami watching them! Surely he can sense their attraction as well! They kept it professional enough, so hopefully he is satisfied.

Pinar is scared stiff. She knows Tayyar holds her life in his hands. The actress conveys this inner horror so well.

You are so right, Dondi! All these actors are remarkable!!! Your summaries are always great, especially with your knowledge of Türkiye!
Thank you!

Babachita

KPA

Thank you Dondi!

Pinar survived the boat after being randomly spotted by the coast guard. Should we accept that at face value? Or did they get tipped off? I suppose if there was a tip then the cooked chief would find out about it and so would Tayyar.

Elmer is still smoldering - no way Omer is going to be able to stay away forever, if Sami is any kind of detective, he sees the writing on the wall.

I barely remember when I didn't think Huseyin was creepy...

I agree all of these actors are fantastic!

Dondi and I just had a conversation about this dizi. But, we were on the Bahar page! We discussed some of the places KPA was available and KPA trivia. You might find it interesting. It’s currently at the end of the Bahar page.

I saw the conversation on the other page. I also watched KPA 41 but I'm trying to make sense of Bahar so I'll comment and catch up with KPA tomorrow hopefully.

I just wanted to share how much I have enjoyed this slower pace. I had time to look up some things like food and customs. I often look up cities where applicable. And, the in-depth summaries pick up so many things that I would normally miss. I know I’m repeating myself, but it’s like savoring a fine sipping whisky rather than galloping to get to the finish line. Thanks to all who are partaking of this marvelous dizi!!!

KPA 43 part 1 of 3

Tayyar is cutting up his hand as the episode begins? I forget why…He calls Faith to tell him to do the exact opposite of what he told him to do yesterday. He’s to forget about ‘that woman’ – I think Fatih was looking for Pinar. And to show the video to Elif right away instead of waiting like he was told. Fatih says Tayyar is driving him crazy and wonders if he’s just playing games with him! Tayyar is now going to take care of Pinar, and Faith is to take care of Elif.

Elmer are still in the woods and Omer has put up a wooden target for Elif to shoot at. She doesn’t like the gun, it’s heavy and cold in her hands. Omer has no pity for her hesitation and insist she imagine it’s Fatih and shoot. Elif shoots but hates it and throws the gun down. She tries to walk away yelling about how she can’t, she’s a designer not a murderer and she can’t do this. Let them come and kill her and put her out of her misery. Omer is not buying it, Elif can do it if she wants, he continues to try to instruct her but he’s angry and hostile about it and Elif tells him he might know how to do it but he’s a bad instructor. This builds up to Omer helping Elif aim by putting his arms around her and his hands on hers on the gun as he straightens her stance. She asks what he’s doing and he says not to get nervous he’s just showing her. As Omer tells Elif how to bend her knees and square up to the target, Elif is remembering him tell her that he can give her the unconditional love she’s been looking for. Elif shoots again and it’s much better. Elif is happy and Omer says give me five! They celebrate.

Nilufer is registering at school and Mert is her constant shadow. She runs into the women’s bathroom just for a moment alone. Somehow Fatih is already in the bathroom having anticipated her arrival. He grabs her from behind which scares her but when she realizes it’s him she’s elated and hugs him tight! I love you; she exclaims.

Elif is still practicing and she’s bummed she hasn’t hit the center of the target yet but Omer thinks it’s just a matter of practice. She has the talent. They continue to practice but as Omer puts his arms around her once again and Elif’s eyes close in longing she can’t help but ask how long are they going to continue like this. Omer says until you learn but that’s not what Elif is referring to. She wants to know if he really feels nothing when he takes her hands? If he wants to know how she feels, she will tell him. When he’s so close she can feel him breathing and it makes her tremble, then she remembers he doesn’t love her. She can’t be away from him; she can’t because he’s always there. Omer does that staring and not talking thing he loves doing and just stares at her in wonder for the longest time, they move closer and it seems for a second they will kiss but then he pulls back and says let’s keep practicing!!!! Let’s keep practicing??? She pours her heart out and all he can say is that! What’s worse is he actually tries to put his arms around her again to ‘help’ guide her shot but Elif isn’t having it, she can do it alone. And she does, bullseye! She’s very proud of herself and gestures very widely and wildly with the gun still in her hand, Omer has to take it away and remind her to be careful it’s a gun not a toy.

Nilufer wants to run away with Fatih but he tells her they will only be able to see each other in secret for a while. In fact, it might be a long time before they can see each other again. Nilufer says she can’t do that, but Fatih says she can. If she really loves him, she can wait for him. This is just a test that life is putting in their way. Nilufer says she’ll wait forever if she has to. They start making out. It’s been too long and Mert is suspicious, he knocks but she doesn’t answer. He finally enters but Faith hides. Nilufer plays innocent and offended that Mert entered the ladies’ room, she leaves with him fighting the whole time.

KPA 43 part 2 of 3
Elmer is driving home, and Omer is being chatty. He wants to give himself credit for Elif’s success at shooting and Elif tells him he’s arrogant. Omer stops at a bakery and orders all kinds of pastries, Elif’s attitude is anything but friendly throughout. With orders black coffee without sugar and asks Omer why they are there. Omer says it’s just for the pastries, but Elif isn’t fooled. Omer knows she can’t resist the sugar, and she knows that means he has bad news for her – so spit it out already! And Omer does want to talk about something, the possibility that Taner was murdered. Elif is overwhelmed. She thought it was suicide; Omer says not to believe every police file you read. Elif can’t believe it when will the nightmare end? Omer says Elif was the last person to see Taner, how did he seem? Elif says Taner was acting strange. We see Taner and Elif’s visit was short and unpleasant as Elif was angered by Taner claiming to love both Asli and Pinar. Elif had told Taner that she couldn’t be sure he didn’t kill her dad but she admits to Omer that she believed Taner when he said he didn’t kill him.

Elif is feeling hopeless, it’s one thing after another but Omer says they will find the answer. Sam is on the case and he’s the best man for the job. He’s the only cop with authority that Omer can trust right now but he’s always solved his cases and always got his man – they will this time too. Elif wants to go to Rome and trap Fatih but Omer says it’s not that easy because those people have corrupt cops on their side, their statements as witnesses aren’t enough either, they have to go through with the plan, it’s the only way.
Some dude shows up at Elif’s building pretending to be lost/drunk and asking the doorman for directions, as he’s distracted Metin sneaks in to the building with his face covered.

In the car on the way back to Elif’s house, Omer starts to ask about Tayyar but it doesn’t go well. Elif is sick of Omer suspecting her family and wonders how come he doesn’t suspect his own family of the murder? Ironically, Omer lists all the reasons why his good family is corrupt like hers and doesn’t have enough hate in their hearts to commit murder. Elif is at her wits end and she quickly says goodnight to Omer and retreats.

The doorman at the building mentions to Elif that his daughter hasn’t gotten home from work but is on the way, he’s worried where she might be. Elif suggests he wait 15 mins and then go look for her.

The expert that was looking at the suicide note calls Omer, come quickly! This isn’t a suicide; someone forced him to write this note! Omer is excited and, on his way, he’ll be there in 30 mins.

Fatih is sitting in Elif’s living room drinking her whiskey watching the Asli video. Elif arrives and walks into the not quite empty house turning on the light and slowly going up the stairs. She spies the open door and enters to find her unwanted house guest who causally greets her. She tries to order him out and threatens to call the cops but it does no good. She actually comes closer to Fatih which is a mistake as he grabs her by the hair and pulls her back. He yells at her for breaking their agreement and for especially for separating him from Nilufer. Elif says he’ll never see Nilufer again, but Fatih says why? Why treat me so badly, I’m just trying to share my woes with the sister of my love. Do you want to see? He asks, he shows Elif the video of Asli pushing mom causing her death.

We see Omer driving, he’s happy, smiling and headed toward the good news. Elif’s phone is still in his car, but he hasn’t seen it yet.

Fatih is tormenting a traumatized Elif over the video saying every time he sees it, it gets more fascinating.

More of Omer, but now Elif’s phone rings – it’s Bahar – so he knows he has the phone and he turns around to head back to Elif’s.

KPA 43 part 3 of 3

Pinar is watching Who Wants to Be a Millionaire, and she’s happy too, smiling and thrilled to be free from her captor. But it’s short-lived because the devil arrives at her doorstep. Tayyar struts into the room and asks what’s wrong, are you surprised to see me.

Elif wants to know what Asli did and Fatih pretends to be supportive as a new member of the family – LOL. Elif is sure it was an accident, but Faith isn’t so sure, he starts listing all Asli’s traumas and wonders what the cops will think. Asli lost her baby because of her mother. Heck, if he was in Asli’s position he probably would’ve done the same. He doesn’t blame you. Maybe he and Elif should go to the police and see what they say. Elif says he’s an animal. The threat is clear.

Omer arrives back at the house, and he wants to just give the phone back to the doorman, but his daughter has shown up, and his shift is over, he’s leaving. Omer can take the phone himself. And as he walks up to the house Faith is giving Elif the package for whatever her next assignment is. He walks out to the hallway and asks which room is Nilufer’s. He wants to take a little something to remind him of her, he misses her smell. Elif goes to order him out but he grabs her and just as the doorbell rings, Fatih pulls a gun.

Elif thinks it’s the doorman and tells him he can leave but Omer answers that it’s him and she left her phone in his car. Elif wants to call out for Omer, but Fatih keeps her subdued and Omer wonders at her silence. He keeps calling out and finally Faith makes Elif answer. Tell him you don’t love him, and you don’t want to see him anymore. Elif tells Omer to leave the phone at the door, and they have nothing to talk about. She says she told him yesterday that she’s not in love with him and never was. Omer isn’t fooled and pulls his gun but says okay, I’ll leave, and you’ll never see me again. After Omer ‘leaves’, Fatih leaves too, and Omer almost catches him, but Elif throws a picture thinking someone is there and Omer hearing the glass break worries Elif is still in danger and abandons the chase to get back to Elif. Faith escapes and Omer gets, to the front door right after Elif has locked it. She opens when she sees it’s Omer and falls into his arms crying, he holds her and tells her it’s going to be alright.

Tayyar plays dumb with the doctor wondering who could have possibly hurt his beloved Pinar. Pinar has zero self-preservation instincts whatsoever and is still playing dumb as well. The doctor says the police don’t have much to go on since Pinar can’t remember anything but not to worry but Pinar AND THE BABY are fine!!! Baby?? Tayyar is shocked and viewerville is left wondering if the pregnancy just increased Pinar’s life expectancy or shortened it?

KPA 43

Thank you for the great summary, Darcy!! Elif and Omer practicing shooting was fun. You can see their affection, but Omer is careful to keep it professional. Since Sami is watching, it’s a good thing!

Nilufer is spending time with Mert, but she wants to be with Fatih. Fatih must just hate when Tayyar tortures him like this. Tayyar really knows how to be cruel, setting up Mert when he knows Fatih loves Nilufer. They are both his sons! Nilufer doesn’t show much other than friendliness to Mert. She is loyal. That must make Fatih feel better. He is so cruel to Elif, however. I guess she’s just an employee to him!

Pinar will have some more time now that she is pregnant. But, whose baby?!!! I’m surprised she didn’t lose the baby during her ordeal with no food or water.

KPA 33

Thanks Darcy. I'm all caught up, actually ahead now. With all these who's the daddy Telenovelas lately I imagine Pinar won't have a 7 month reprieve since it seems a blood test can now determine paternity earlier than after the baby is born. Unless it is a fiction fostered in telenovela land.

Doesn't it seem strange the doorman is released from duty at night. I would think they would have coverage day and night.

Sitting in the dentist office now awaiting a root canal. My neverending saga

These are the three summaries we will do this weekend. We could just do the same one each week, if you like. That would have me doing Fridays, Dondi Saturdays, and Darcy Sundays.
But, it might be easier another way. Let me know.

Kat, hope your root canal goes ok. Ouch!

We all get ahead on KPA, and some have seen it all, but doing more than three summaries a week was overwhelming. So, go ahead and get ahead, but it’s nice to read and comment on the summaries as they get done. I always miss things and the detailed summaries add a lot to my understanding.

Good luck Kat!
