Welcome to Page 1 (Monday edition) of the Telemundo y Más page, issued twice a week: Mondays and Thursdays at 8:00 PM.
Here are the current telenovelas (all times are Eastern Daylight Time):
- 9-10PM - Dinastía Casillas
- 10-11PM - Lejos de Ti
Everyone is welcome to join in the conversation. Since discussions of all the Telemundo novelas share the same page, please remember to put the name of the telenovela you're referring to at the top of your post so readers can easily find the conversation they're looking for.
By common agreement, this group DOES NOT discuss previews, trailers, or any other plot information not found in a current or past episode of the current production. Spoilers WILL be removed by the admin. This includes references to earlier productions of the story, and even the original novel. Thanks for your cooperation!

So far, we don't have a Monday recapper. I have decided on Wednesday. Babachita has volunteered to get us started on Tuesdays. She posted about not having time for full recaps, just something to get the comments flowing.
So, Monday is wide open for either a volunteer recapper or, I suppose, just anyone who wants to chime in about what they see tonight.
I can do a Friday recap that will be up over the weekend after I post my KPA recap on Saturday.
Thanks, dondi. You always light up my Saturdays! I started KPA once. It looked great, but I was pretty jammed for time and didn't stay with it. If my book groups would STOP choosing 400–500-page tomes, maybe I'd find time to give it another try.
Things that stood out to me from last night:
Kadir and the other bodyguards that are very close to Cihan have been following Alya and are becoming fond of her. This follows a pattern from other dizis, like La Familia and Karsu, where the closest henchmen to the protagonists seem to be nicer muscle guys.
Last night, Kadir, the big guy, advocated for Alya with Cihan, convincing him to pay for her hotel. Arguing with your boss in that world would be dangerous, so these guys are like family. Maybe they are family, even!
I loved the scene when Alya throws the money to the crowd!
Later, Sadakat shows video of this to Cihan hoping to get Alya in trouble. Instead, Cihan smiles slightly and says she has her carácter, which he seems to like.
I think Mine has the same dubber as Karsu, Kat.
I’m still confused about the deal with Demir’s father. The grenade was effective, but watching it kept me from understanding all the transaction.
Babachita
Babachita, I think I have a tiny grasp of what the "grenade encounter" was about. Nadim had called for Cihan to come to his konak (thanks, dondi) to try to broker peace. He swore that he had nothing to do with the firing on the Albora truck. What definitely confused me is that, IIRC, Cihan mentioned the driver being killed in that incident. Were there two different trucks? Is Telemundo already cutting things? As we clearly saw, Cihan, with a bullet wound not yet healed, rescued the truck driver.
The outcome of that meeting seemed to be that Nadim insisted that the one behind the attack was Ecmel Albora, Cihan's imprisoned uncle. Cihan went to see him in prison. Can't remember exactly what he said, but he snarled in rage at his nephew, probably denying it. This is the first time I've seen Müfit Kayacan as a villain. I'd love to look up the other, kindly elderly man roles I've seen him in, but the wiki confuses me because the list of dizis is in Turkish and I know them by their Spanish titles.
We definitely saw Cihan as a tough guy. He told Nadim (and Demir, who'd joined them a bit later) that he'd kill off every adult Baybars, leaving only orphans if there were further attacks. Anyone who believes Demir will abide by this, raise your hand. Anyone?
Alya is in quite the pickle. Cihan was not surprised she stayed in Turkey. He predicted it. And, yes, he admires her strength as a mother (and maybe other things as well). She seemed to have enough cash to pay for one night at the hotel. What? Sadakat has videos of the public square in Mardin?
Also, Sadakat joined forces with Sahin's mother (sorry, don't have her name down pat yet) to say that Kaya could not be with Zerrin, who ended up saying she didn't love him. God, I wish they'd explain these things. Is it because they're cousins, just like Sahin and Nare? Apparently, Zerrin is Sahin's sister.
Alya got nowhere with the Canadian consulate. They could not interfere and referred her to the police.
Oh, Sadakat wants Sahin banished from his employment, or whatever role he has. Probably a combination of wanting him away from Nare and perhaps blaming him for accidentally pushing Nare. Cihan told him it was an accident and he's still on the Albora team.
That's about all that comes to my mind.
Thanks for getting us started, Babachita. Thanks for the additions, novelera.
It was Kadir who paid the bill at the hotel but it was the other guy who made the case to help Alya. He sympathized because he has a daughter.
And I noticed Cihan’s slight smile at the video, too. His usual look signals a bad case of indigestion.
Nadim also said he wants to continue moving the merch through Albora land and thought that would stop the attacks. He would keep everything under control and maybe catch any troublemakers. He offered Cihan a percentage of the transactions.
Nadim said Ecmel was possibly involved, like he heard the name mentioned. Cihan questioned this because Ecmel is behind bars. The question was/is, did Ecmel have help on the outside? Demir looked very suspicious, maybe he had something to do with it.
I thought the truck driver was rescued, too, but maybe he died of his injuries later. It didn’t matter that much to me to check. I wouldn’t be surprised if they cut some stuff already.
About Kaya and Zerrin: not unusual for first cousins marry in this area. I’ve seen it in other dizis. I think it’s a Kurdish thing. To keep it all in the family, so to speak. Maybe it has something to do with what happened to Ecmel. These two families hate each other.
