Bahar episode 60

Just a short commentary on this episode. It was better than most of this season's. Parla comes around on Rengin dating the other Cagla and gets his phone number to invite him to dinner which she (mainly Umay) cooked. Rengin meanwhile has been having dizzy spells. Harum does an MRI on her and she has a fast growing brain tumor. He can operate but some cells will remain behind which could grow again. She doesn't know what to do and doesn't want Parla to know.

Parla has used the money Rengin gave her for art school and bought mom a locket with both their photos in it. Rengin loves it. At dinner her hands tremble trying to hold a fork. She gets up for a glass of water or something and collapses to the floor.

Harum has shared the MRI results with his new bestie, Bahar's Cagla. They are both very emotional and sad. (Rengin is one of my favorite characters this season).

On the Bahar story front she has a patient expecting quints. 3 of them have anomalies that will need surgery post delivery. The mother to be is afraid of something and doesn't want to give her name. She has a rich and powerful mil that has with her connections been made guardian of the psychologically 'damaged' daughter in law. The husband died in a car accident. He has been sick and Evren cured him, but he had banked his sperm. Mil wants an heir to replace her only son and dragged dil overseas for invitro. Mil wants the boys, girls can stay with mom. Mom doesn't want to give up her babies .... Quite a bit of the episode dealt with this storyline.

Uras takes his kids from Bahar's home to His new girlfriends place. Seen beings cops there to get them back. I actually think Uras isn't necessarily wrong in this action. I hate the new girl but he is the twins dad and he was given 1 day a week costudy in the divorce.

OT
Kat in SC: If I'm Univision, I would move some of the upcoming remakes to Daytime timeslots including UniMas, because I'm getting the feeling some of the upcoming remake Telenovelas won't be popular amongst the viewers.

Kara Para Ask – Black Money Love – Amor de Contrabando
Episode 64 #1

At the Denizer Mansion:
Nilufer and Omer are talking
Nilufer: Fatih got angry as I started to stay at Uncle Tayyar’s. At first I thought it was because I should not be there so much, but then I realized he was just jealous of Mert. He had a thing about Mert from before. I had a good relationship with Mert and that was the reason. At first, I loved that he was jealous, but then he started to hurt me. (Sniffles) One day I was swimming at Uncle Tayyar’s with Mert, then I went up to my room and suddenly saw Fatih. He pulled my hair, telling me that no one can touch me besides him and he also squeezed my arms, and I was really scared, Omer. He hurt me, a lot.
Omer: So how did he know you were swimming with Mert?
Nilufer: I don’t know. I was just really scared.
Omer: I get it, but it’s all over Nilufer, it really is over. We’re all here with you and everything’s going to get better.
Nilufer goes to hug Omer: Thank you for everything.
Omer: I’ll be here whenever you want me to, OK?
In the kitchen, Elif and Pelin are preparing something while Arda watches. They take the food to the table; it looks like bruschetta. Arda grabs one, tries it, and gushes that it is so tasty: I thought you were going to prepare something like bread with tomatoes, but this is perfect.
He reaches for a second one, and Pelin tells him to leave some for the rest of them.
Pelin agrees that they are really tasty. She asks Elif for the recipe.
Arda teases her that he hopes they won’t be bad for Pelin’s migraines. She isn’t happy that he brought them up. Arda says she has a strong system and will get well just fine.
Omer comes in: Listen up. I found out something while I was talking to Nilufer. It looks like Metin was watching her when she was staying at Tayyar’s house.
Elif: How come?
Omer: He seems to know every move of hers, and if he does he must have a place overlooking the house in order to do that. We need to looks at all the apartments from which you can look out over Tayyar’s house and swimming pool.
Arda: OK.
Omer keeps looking at him, and Arda says: Now?
Omer: Yes now! We’re going to the police station to get search warrants. Pelin, you stay here with Nilufer.
Arda, speaking with his mouth full: Take a couple of these, Omer. You’re really lucky. Elif is a super cook. You are really lucky, man!
Pelin looks at him, starting to get annoyed at all the gushing.
Omer tells Elif he will sample them another time. It’s work, got to get back to it.
Elif looks stressed. She asks him to please keep her informed of what’s going on, or she’ll get really worried.
Omer caresses her face and asks her not to worry.
Elif: Luck will be enough for you, you’ll take care of the rest.
They look at each other lovingly for a bit, and then Omer leaves, but no! He comes back for a lovely kiss! She caresses his head as he does hers. Omer: Thank you, I really needed that.
He smiles and leaves. [Their chemistry is so perfect! I really enjoy watching the two of them!]

In Metin’s cave-like cell where Tayyar has him locked up:
Sedat, one of his Metin’s henchies, comes in.
Metin: Sedat, find a way to get me out of here.
Sedar: I can’t. Naci has the keys. They’re already out. They are going to take you to Tayyar.
Metin yells: Come on, find a way!
He paces like a caged animal.

Episode 64 #2
In Tayyar’s basement office/operating room:
Tayyar and a henchie.
Tayyar: Call that Naci and find out if they’re on their way. Tell him to bring that horrible Metin here with him.
The henchie agrees and leaves.
Tayyar opens a black case with lots of sharp operating instruments and lays them out (Uh oh!!!)

At Fatma’s home:
Hatice, whose father just died, is talking to Omer and tells him thank you, but that they don’t need anything. It looks like they do need help. She promises to call him if they need anything. She tells him they don’t have anyone besides him. Omer tells her he is sorry for their loss.
Fatma makes a face: Talk of the devil and he’s sure to appear.
Hatice: Mom, you’re being really mean to Omer. He’s doing his best. What else can he do?
Fatma: We’re in a poor way here as he does everything for us. I went to the bank this morning to see the account at the bank and see what we could do after the funeral. The bank did that same thing they did to your sister’s account. What do you call it? They blocked that account. We can’t touch that money.
Hatice: How come?
Fatmas: The prosecutor wrote a report that your sister was a carrier and they also found her fake ID. Oh, this is all Omer’s doing! I mean, I hope he will go to hell. This is all his fault. We’re now really poor.
Hatice watches as Fatma leaves the room, still complaining.

On the street outside Tayyar’s home:
Arda and Omer drive up and look around the neighborhood, trying to find a place that has a view of Tayyar’s house and pool. Omer finds one.
Omer: This is it. It’s the best place to overlook the house. All of these houses have security cameras. You most probably can get hold of them.
Arda: Exactly.
They start walking to the most likely place.
Arda: Where is Husseyn? He went to the police station and left there as well. Has something happened?
Omer: I haven’t talked to Husseyn today.
Omer takes out his phone and calls his brother. He is at his second family’s home. It looks like the kid is sick, there is a thermometer and stuff by his bed.
Husseyn: Hey, what’s up?
Omer: Where are you? You’re not at the station. Have you found something?
Husseyn: No, I wish I was there. The child of a friend of mine has a really high fever and they don’t have money, so I came here to help them when they called.
Omer: I’m sorry. Shall I come to the hospital? Is it something serious? Do you know yet?
Husseyn: You don’t know him, he’s from my old team. You’re not the same age.
Omer: Just say if it’s something serious.
Husseyn: No, no, what happened, do you need me?
Ome: No, Arda’s with me. Why don’t you stay with your friend. We’ll talk if anything happens.
Husseyn agrees to this. He and Svetlana are alarmed because his fever is too high. Svetlana says he needs to go to the hospital.
Husseyn: We can’t go to the hospital. You go bring a doctor.
Svetlana: I won’t leave my son. You fetch a doctor, Husseyn.
Husseyn, angrily: I told you to go. Walk!!!
Svetlana leaves.

Back to Arda and Omer in Tayyar’s neighborhood.
Arda: Which hospital is It?
Omer: I forgot to ask.
Arda: Gosh. Husseyn has never done things like this. He certainly tells us everything. But not that he’s keen on children.

Episode 64 #3
Omer: Well, maybe he didn’t know that that friend of his had a child. He must have gone without listening to the details.
Omer pushes the button for the apartment they think is Metin’s.
A caretaker answers.
Omer shows his badge and says they are looking for Fatih Dundar. Anyone here by that name?
The caretaker says yes, he moved there about a month ago.
Omer and Arda look at one another.
Arda: Has he been here today?
The caretaker says no, he hasn’t been recently.
Omer: Can you show us the apartment. We need to see what’s in there.

At Tayyar’s basement office/operating room
Tayyar is ready for surgery wearing an apron. Fatih/Metin is shown in.
He instructs Fatih to sit and has his henchies tie him to the chair so he’ll not make things difficult.
Tayyar is putting on rubber gloves.
Fatih: You can’t kill me. Don’t do this to yourself.
Tayyar: Don’t be that sure of it, Fatih.
He tells everyone to leave them.
Fatih: You have a conscience under that really bad heart of yours. You love me and you will not be able to kill your own son. You won’t be able to do it.
Tayyar continues to prepare for surgery.
Tayyar: Every wrong action has a penalty in my book, Fatih, and you’ll pay for yours. Don’t you worry.
Fatih is struggling a bit to be comfortable: OK. Then tell me why you wanted me to be like this. I was a young boy when you brought me to Istanbul. I could have been a really different person with a little compassion, but you didn’t want that. Tell me, why didn’t you want that? Why didn’t you want to be my father? Face yourself, come on, face yourself. Tell me that I’m your greatest regret. Tell me that you see Nevin. When you look at me, you see your brother. When you look at me tell me that. Say that you see what you put your own son through. Tell me that you’re evil. Tell me that and face yourself.
Tayyar: True! You’re my greatest regret. I should have killed you right after you were born or I should have thrown you on the streets. Instead of feeding you, I should have kicked you once more instead of picking you up when you fell down. I couldn’t. This is what I’m regretful of and my child, don’t forget this thing called regret, this ankle bracelet to the soul and nothing else. You see I have taken off that bracelet so long ago, I’ll prove all this to you when I cut up my own son a little. I’m prepared to make even that kind of sacrifice, really can be done, you know.
Fatih stares at him and then turns away.

Omer walks around Fatih’s apartment overlooking Tayyar’s home. Arda walks in with a box: How come a person doesn’t have one photo anywhere in his house?
Omer: You wouldn’t either. Think about it. If you were guilty and you needed to hide your ID, you wouldn’t either.
Omer rifles through some papers. He finds some real estate brochures.
Omer: So, that’s where he’s hiding. He bought a house in Madrid.
Omer looks around the room carefully, taking it all in. He sees a phone and goes to check it. There are messages. One female voice says: Metin, you haven’t replied to my calls for months.
Arda thinks it might be an old lover.
The next voice is also a female: Fatih, my son, you told me to call you if there was an emergency. Well, I’m stuck in Bulgaria. You haven’t arrived. Are you alive, son? I’m really worried.
Omer tells Arda: Tell all the teams that the borders have to be blocked. Fatih’s going to Bulgaria. Come on.

Episode 64 #4

Back in Tayyar’s office/operating room:
Tayyar: Shall we start slowly, Fatih?
Fatih: Start with my head.
Tayyar: And all your lovely organs will be wasted, won’t they?
Fatih: You can’t kill me while looking in my eyes. You don’t have the courage. If you have that, take the gun and shoot me.
Tayyar runs over and gets his gun out.
Some henchies enter at this moment, telling Tayyar that he needs to come really urgently.
Tayyar angrily replies: I told you not to disturb me.
Henchie: Mr. Mert is upstairs. He wants to see you.
Tayyar: Amuse him.
Henchie: It’s not possible Mr. Tayyar. He’s really angry and out of control. He’s shouting and he’s making a mess in the hospital.
That gets Tayyar’s attention, and he takes off his apron.
He tells the henchies: Don’t leave this door, don’t leave the door!
Tayyar leaves. Fatih welcomes the henchies: Ah, we’re alone again. One of them, Sedat, takes the pistol and hits the other one with the gun.
Fatih: Untie me, quickly.
Sedat: But how can we get out of here? They have men everywhere.
Fatih: I have built this hospital. I know this place well.
He leads him out a second door and into the hospital. They go up several stairs, across a walkway that leads across the street into a large building that might be doctor’s offices, a hotel or more of the big hospital.
Tayyar enters his official office and asks Mert: What’s up son? You’re wrecking the whole hospital.
Mert: Dad, how could you do that to me?
Tayyar: Tell me what happened?
Mert: You will tell me what happened and you’ll tell me what kind of man you are. Do you understand?
Tayyar: Talk to me in a decent way. You are out of your mind!
Mert: I’m high! Am I right Dad? I’m high since I learned that I have a brother called Fatih
Tayyar looks impactado.
Back in the hospital, several henchies are gathered at one of the doors to the hospital. Their leader tells the others not to leave: Tell Selim to put two more people at each door. I don’t want anything to go wrong.
Meanwhile, an elevator door opens and a gurney is wheeled out by Sedat with a completely covered body. He reaches the door with the henchies guarding it. They ask him what he’s doing with this. He said he doesn’t know. He was told to take it to the mortuary, if what Naci does can be understood. The guard henchie uncovers the body, and, surprise, it is not Fatih, but a real dead body. Just now, we see Fatih calmly walking out of the building, dressed as a doctor. [I’m rooting for Fatih here and got very excited when I saw him walk out!!!] The guard henchie tells Sedat to continue to the morgue.

Back in Tayyar’s official hospital office:
Tayyar to Mert: You listen to me, now.
Mert: What nonsense, don’t lie to me! He told me everything. You first raped the woman and then you cut out her tongue so she couldn’t talk. That is disgusting.
Tayyar: Now you believe what that crazy man said. Don’t you know your father? Fatih is a psychopath. A complete liar. All he thinks about is money and you believe all the things that man said as only a stupid person would.
Mert: So who was that woman, Dad? She couldn’t speak at all. I was very young. We were playing football. My mother was there as well and she apologized to her all the time. What was the reason, Dad?
Tayyar has a serious look on his face.
Mert: My mother knew you had a son, right?

Episode 64 # 5
Tayyar: Do you know how many poor people came to my house? Poor and begging. Now go and tidy yourself up. Go on.
Mert shakes his head and hits the table hard with his palms: Father, you say that man is not my brother, then prove it to me. Let’s go and have a DNA test and then we’ll sort out this problem.
Mert stalks out of the room, while Tayyar calls after him: Mert, Mert! The door slams.

At the Bulgarian border with the meat truck:
Fatih arrives by taxi with Sedat. The truck driver seems concerned. Fatih tells him the plan has changed. The man says: You told me you were going to come with your wife and I was shocked.
Fatih: Don’t talk and open it. The man gives Fatih and Sedat a phone so they can be in communication: You’ll enter the cold storage when I tell you to do so.

Omer and Arda are driving to the border. They tell everyone they are looking for Fatih Dundar. Omer even puts a police blinking light on their car.

Svetlana is monitoring the police communications. She hears: It is suspected that Fatih Dundar will escape to Bulgaria. All support teams to the borders.
Husseyn is sound asleep. She takes the radio into the bathroom and puts it in the dirty clothes hamper to muffle the sound.

At the Denizer mansion, Elif and Pelin are trying to get information. Elif says Omer still isn’t picking up. Pelin is unable to get Arda to answer, either. Then they hear the message about Fatih and Bulgaria. Nilufer is outside in the garden. She sees Mert on the sidewalk below. He nods at her. She calls him.
Nilufer: Mert, what are you doing here?
Mert: Come down. I’m depressed and I need to talk to you, please.
Nilufer: I can’t.
Mert says he can’t come to her.
Nilufer: Tell me what happened.
Mert: Elif is right, Nilufer. My father is not the person I thought he was.
Nilufer: I don’t understand. I don’t get what you’re trying to tell me.
Mert: I have a half-brother and he thinks that my father is his uncle.
(We hear a brief flashback of Fatih telling Nilufer his father is alive and the man he thought was his uncle is his father.)
Nilufer: Is Fatih your half-brother?
Mert: I learned that you two know each other. He told me that this morning. He also told me that you two are married.
Nilufer starts sobbing.
Back inside, Elif and Pelin wait impatiently. The phone rings. It’s Omer.
Elif: Where are you, Omer? Arda and I are headed to the border. Elif, the recordings of the security cameras came through for Fatih’s apartment. Do you think you could recognize him and send it back to me tonight?
Elif: You know he’s going to try everything to not get caught. You know he’s dangerous, right?
Omer: Hey, you’re dating a cop now, right? You have to get used to it, Signorina.
Elif: Look, Officer, I need to find you as I left you otherwise I’ll be really upset.
Omer: Please don’t worry.
They hang up. She goes to get the email Omer sent.
Nilufer stumbles in, looking very upset: I forgot to tell you something very important. I was so busy with my grief so I forgot to tell you this.
Elif: Tell us.
Nilufer: Fatih is the son of Uncle Tayyar.
Elif: What?
Pelin is very interested now.
Nilufer: Fatih told me that Uncle Tayyar raped his mother. Also, Fatih’s mother is married to Uncle Tayyar’s brother.
Elif: How could our Uncle Tayyar do something like that?

Episode 64 #6
Nilufer: I don’t know. It’s like a nightmare.
Elif: So, did Fatih really know this from the beginning?
Nilufer nods yes: From when he was very little.
Pelin: Wow, look at Tayyar Dundar. He treats one child like rubbish and the other like a prince. Look at what kind of childhood Metin had. That’s why he became the man that he is. Gosh!
Pelin looks down at the video that Omer sent. It shows Fatih climbing the stairs. Elif picks up her phone to call Omer. She takes a photo of Fatih and sends it to Omer.
Omer: So that’s Fatih, then.
Omer has a flashback to encountering Fatih in the hospital. Fatih is trying to escape but is very weak. Omer goes up and asks him if he is OK.
Omer tells Arda he realizes who Fatih is: You remember when Husseyn was shot and he was in the hospital when Nilufer was kidnapped? I saw that guy there. He was a patient and I helped him.
Omer punches his hand, amazed that they finally have made the connection.

AT Tayyar’s basement office and O.R.
Tayyar is going crazy, throwing things and knocking over bookcases.
Tayyar to henchie: What kind of job are you doing? How could you allow a man to get away through 80 people watching my hospital? How could you do that? How could you allow that to happen?

Back at Svetlana’s:
Husseyn is still sleeping soundly with their child. She is watching nervously, thinking of the report on the police radio that she hid. Then Husseyn’s phone rings. Husseyn awakens: Where’s the phone? Where’d you put it?
Svetlana: It rang a lot. I didn’t want it to wake you up.
Husseyn: Give that to me. He calls Tayyar.
Tayyar: Where are you? Metin has escaped. Come here.

In Arda’s car:
Omer on the radio: All teams, I have a picture of Fatih Dundar from the security video footage.
Omer: OK, man, let’s go faster.

At Svetlana’s, Husseyn is dressed and ready to go. He asks for his walkie talkie. Svetlana tells him it’s too noisy. He replies harshly: I told you to bring it.
Omer calls him.
Omer: Husseyn, I couldn’t get hold of you. We’re about to catch Metin.
Husseyn: Great, I’ll be there now. You did well, Omer.
Husseyn, to himself: That’s the last thing I need!
Svetlana gives him the radio and he leaves.

In the meat truck, Fatih doesn’t look very comfortable. At the border, the truck is shown to one lane. The driver calls Fatih: Get in the fridge. There are police everywhere.
Omer is at the border checking vehicles. [Is there anything he can’t do? Our hero!]
Omer checks the van in front of the truck.
The truck driver to Fatih: It will be a thorough inspection. I’m turning on the cooler now.
After the van drives on, the truck driver drives up and Omer asks where he is going. He says to the next neighborhood.
Omer asks him what he is carrying. Meat. Omer tells him to get out and show him the license.
The driver complies. Meanwhile Fatih and Sedat are sitting with a bunch of butchered meat in a cold cooler. Sedat doesn’t look very pleased.
The driver gives Omer the papers. Arda asks him to open the rear doors. Omer says: Let’s have a look at the meat. The driver says: OK. You can look officer. It’s not very nice in there. There are meat carcasses. (He shows him the thermometer remote.) It’s very cold in there. It’ll all turn to mush if we open it now.

Episode 64 #7
Omer: Nothing will happen in five minutes.
Inside, Fatih is thinking hard. They open the rear door. Omer looks around. Arda says there is something suspicious on an adjacent vehicle and takes Omer to a bus. Fatih takes the opportunity to jump out and take off running.
Omer sees him and draws his pistol. Omer chases Fatih and eventually catches him.
Omer: It looks like we have finally caught Fatih Dundar.
Fatih: You caught me at last, but you have to admit I gave you a very good run around.
Omer: It was all my pleasure.
Fatih: Ah, you’re not going to read me my rights?
Omer: You should have them memorized by now. Get up. (He leads him away.). We have a long time to talk. You’ll tell me everything that you know and everything that you’ve done with Tayyar Dundar and I’ll listen to them with great pleasure Mr. Fatih Dundar.
Arda calls in on his radio to report suspect Fatih Dundar main suspect has been apprehended.
Nilufer walks in when Elif and Pelin are celebrating.
Pelin: The nightmare is over.
Nilufer is obviously impactada.

FLASHBACK Strange, ominous music. It shows Omer walking and someone else with brown boots also walking. It is just before Omer is shot. It shows Omer being shot but being saved by the watch that Elif gave him.

Arda is driving with Omer sitting beside Sedat and Fatih in the back seat.
Fatih: Well done. I was sure that you were going to find [I didn’t get this name.] and make him talk but I didn’t think that you were going to catch me. Well, maybe not in this way. I knew we’d be sitting next to each other one day, but I always thought it would be for a family situation. Don’t look at me like that in that cold way. What I’m wondering about the most is how did you find me? (Omer grins but stays silent.) I always paraded around saying a cop had not been born who could catch me, but I’ve got an older friend whose name we need not say who would say to me: don’t underestimate your enemy.
Omer: Which friend is that? Tayyar?
Fatih doesn’t answer but gives him the side eye.
Omer: Never mind. We’ll be having a long talk about him and in case you’re wondering about it, you should know by now that if you start to make decisions based on your emotions, then you start to make mistakes, my friend. I found the flat that you rented across from Tayyar’s house because you were jealous of Nilufer. And you signed a contract with a guy who was working for you.
Fatih looks at Omer, perhaps realizing that Omer is no fool.
Fatih: You’re right. Emotions make one weak.

Episode 64 #8
Tayyar is looking at his harvest of organs in coolers: Go on, now, carry it carefully. His men carry the coolers and a body on a gurney.
Husseyn enters: What do you think you’re doing here?
[The victim may have been one of Tayyar’s henchies or someone else who messed up. This is an extreme punishment, so must not have been one of his loyal henchies.]
Tayyar: I’m organizing my return. You’re on your way out. He (the victim) would have been a waste of oxygen if he’d survived, but now so many people will be happy with their new organs.
Husseyn: Dammit, and you called me here?
Tayyar: Wrong response, Husseyn. If I were you, I would be thinking Tayyar trusts me so much he started to share his confidential information with me.
Husseyn curses: Damn, you and your confidential information.
Tayyar: Listen to me, Husseyn. I’m not having a good day today. I don’t think can take any jokes so tell me, why did you want to have a face to face meeting with me?
Husseyn: They caught Metin. (Tayyar is very impactado.) Yes, now that’s the right reaction. You know, Tayyar, if I were you, I….
Tayyar (interrupts): How did this happen, then?
Husseyn: He was escaping to Bulgaria in a meat truck. Omer chased him down and arrested him and now they’re on their way to the police station. I hope that he’s a trustworthy man. Your henchmen, Tayyar. He won’t say anything will he? Do you trust him? Will he speak out?

FLASHBACK: To Fatih in Tayyar’s dungeon-like prison. Tayyar to Fatih: You are the product of my one night of pleasure. What did you think? That I’d accept you wholeheartedly and place you in the best seat of my house? What? Of course that didn’t happen. So you start to count down the days until you could destroy me. Look at me. I am Tayyar Dundar.

Tayyar looks worried after remembering this.
He tells Husseyn: You know I really need help.
Husseyn: When you’re in trouble, you call Husseyn. What should I do? Go and shoot him? Who do you think I am?
Tayyar: Have I told you to kill him? Have I done that?
Husseyn: If you don’t say it today, you’ll say it tomorrow, Tayyar. But this time, Omer is not going to leave him alone even for five minutes. Do you understand? Don’t even think about it. You can’t do any cleaning up without being caught.
Tayyar: If it’s needed, then it’s really necessary. You’ll kill him, Husseyn. Don’t try to turn away.
Husseyn: I’ll just stay close to Omer and that’s it. I’m not in a position to shoot him if your man speaks out. That is all I can offer.
Tayyar. Keep quiet. Listen to me, let Ali keep his eye on Omer.

End of Episode 64.

KPA

Thanks Babachita! Excellent recap as always!

What an episode! I couldn't tell if it was Omer who was shot or the person walking beside him, so I was wondering if Fatih was shot!!!

I couldn't believe Fatih actually got captured! I wasn't expecting that so soon! I wonder if they also arrested Sedat, it didn't show him at all. Was he able to sneak away? Surely, he couldn't just go back to Tayyar. And now, Fatih's mom is a loose end too.

I went back and rewatched this. The short scene with Omer walking with someone in brown shoes that started with ominous music is a flash-forward. It says 16 something in Turkish. I thought it might be a flashback. But it is foreshadowing something to come probably next weekend. The Turkish must be referring to 16 hours ahead.

I have trouble remembering what has already happened and what I have seen in previous viewings of this story.

So, I hope it’s not a spoiler since it was foreshadowed here, but stay tuned for this dramatic event.

Thank you for asking, Darcy!

Darcy,

If you think it’s important for the record to correct the flashback-flashforward entry, I can resubmit it if you can delete #7. If you can, maybe delete #8 also. I can correct 7 and submit 7 then 8 to keep in order.

But it might not matter.

Let me know what you think.

I don't think it needs to be deleted. It did happen in the episode....it said 16 hours earlier - so it was showing the shooting and then it flashed back to the car ride with Fatih... I was guessing we would see more of the shooting tomorrow in Donde's episode, but I haven't watched it yet. I am keeping up currently and watching them on the right day though I will probably watch both 65 and 66 tomorrow.

Darcy I think most is in episode 67. I was confused by the number 16. It makes more sense now as foreshadowing.

Such a great story!!!

Thank you!

Bahar corrections.

Last paragraph should be Seren brings the cops to Maral's apartment (where Uras has moved in).

Great recap as usual, Babachita. ITA, Elmer is a very chemical couple! They are the reason I’ve watched this dizi multiple times.

Fatma is a piece of work. So bitter and begrudging. As if it’s Omer’s fault her daughter became a carrier. She wanted Hatice to do it too! For those who saw Fatmagül, she’s like the Mukaddes character in this dizi.

I agree with Darcy. Don’t delete anything. The shooting scene was a flash forward. Then we went 16 hours earlier and the story picks up from there. The scene seems weirdly out of place if you are watching the shortened episodes. This scene was originally at the beginning of Turkish episode 23 and then goes 16 hours back, eventually taking us to the end of 23 and the shooting.

#65 part 1

Elif and Pelin pace nervously at the police station. Omer brings Fatih in. Elif and Fatih’s eyes meet. She has a flashback to when he had her and Nilufer in a cabin and terrorized them. Fatih asks Elif, naber, baldiz? (what’s up SIL?) as he walks past. I’m nothing to you, she replies, you’ll never get close to Nilufer again. No one can separate us, he answers, not even you. Omer pulls Fatih away. Elif shouts, haven’t you done enough to my family? Don’t ever mention her name again.

Elif says, if you really love Nilufer, you’ll leave her alone. One doesn’t make their love suffer. You are filth. I’m sure they will prove you’re my father’s murderer. Fatih denies it. I’ve never met your father. I don’t know who shot him in the head. Omer manages to drag Fatih away. Fatih shouts for his wife. [he should ask for a lawyer instead.]

Tayyar and Huseyin talk outside on a hospital terrace. Tayyar says Fatih holds a grudge. Mert has learned Fatih is his brother. Huseyin says it was a mistake to keep Fatih for so long. You say you plan for everything. You were foolish to think this secret wouldn’t be found out. Tayyar turns the tables. It’s the same with you, killing your brother’s fiancée. It happens in every family… secrets… traumas. It’s in our hands to overcome. If you find Nevin (Fatih’s mom), Fatih won’t say a word.

I’m speaking Turkish, Huseyin says [it depends on which version you’re watching.] and you still don’t understand. Omer will make sure it goes according to plan. If he thinks I’m pulling a stunt behind his back, we’re finished. Take care of this yourself. Tell your men to find that woman. Tayyar insists that Huseyin finds Nevin. He threatens him with the recording of Huseyin’s guilt. Huseyin has no choice but to comply with Tayyar’s orders.

Fatih is processed. A photo of him and his mother falls out of his wallet. Omer sees it. The cop wants Fatih to take off the amulet. He refuses. Omer nods it’s okay.

Nilu cries and holds her amulet. Asli quietly watches her and feels sad. Bahar walks by and says she’s leaving for the company Call me if anything happens. Asli drops a snide comment and Bahar tells her somebody around here has to work. Don’t you understand?

Elif has given a statement, and Pelo asks her to review it. Elif says it’s good and she signs it.

Arda says he’s going to bring Fatih for a checkup and Omer makes the point that Fatih cannot be left alone for even one minute. Arda says no worries, someone is always with him.

Elif asks what happens next? Omer says interrogation is next. We are only allowed to keep him in detention for 24 hours. We’ll try to get him to confess. Otherwise, we need to find another witness or evidence to support your statement. Elif begins to worry. If he doesn’t confess, if we don’t find a witness or evidence… Omer tells her to calm down. It will be okay, we’ll make him talk.

Omer gives Arda strict orders to watch over Fatih. Tayyar will want to get rid of him. Watch what he eats or drinks or if he gets any medications. Pelo says she’ll go with Arda. Arda makes some stupid comments about that. Elmer suppress their smiles.

Arda asks, where’s Huseyin? Omer says his friend’s kid is sick. Maybe he’s at the hospital. Omer says he’ll track him down. Arda notes that Huseyin is never around when they need him. Hmm…

#65 part 2

Huseyin goes to Fatih’s apartment to conduct his own search. He tells the cop on guard that he was sent by the chief. Huseyin tells the cop to take a break, he’ll be there for at least an hour. The apartment phone rings. It’s Nevin calling from Bulgaria. Huseyin answers and says he’s Fatih’s friend, Muharrem. Fatih had to hide because Tayyar is after him. I’m the only one who knows where he is.

Nevin wants to know when Fatih will come for her. The man he left her with disappeared and now she’s alone. Tell me where you are, Huseyin says, and I will pick you up and take you to Fatih. Nevin hesitates. She says, let Fatih tell you. He tells her Fatih doesn’t have a phone, and he doesn’t see him often. If I were to tell him, he would be worried and try to come to you. You’d be giving yourselves away. I know you’re worried I’m one of Tayyar’s men, but I assure you, I’m Fatih’s friend. Please let me come for you.

Omer tells Elif not to wait at the station. When they bring Fatih, we will interrogate him. Elif would rather wait with Omer. She links her fingers with his. I was so afraid something would happen to you, she says, I’m at peace when I’m with you. Omer looks around to see if anyone is watching or listening. Some guy is brought in by a cop. Are you sure you feel safe here, Omer asks. Everywhere is beautiful and peaceful with you, she answers. He asks, even when we are fighting? Don’t push your luck, Elif says. Omer gives in. Okay, I’ll get you a tea.

Sami shows up and offers congrats to Omer for catching Fatih. He’s proud of Omer. Sami adds, we’ll be done with this case if we get him to speak. Sami turns to Elif. I have good news for you, too. I took your petition to the highest authorities. I told them how you helped. I also explained that you were a victim in this case. So, no charges will be filed against you. You only have to give a statement.

Elif doesn’t know what to say. She notes that she didn’t get along with Sami but she thanks him. You’ve saved my life and given me a second chance. I’m grateful. Sami says she should thank Omer. He’s the hero. Omer thanks Sami as he walks off. Elmer are elated.

Another cop comes to Omer. The DA has questions about the indictment. We filed your reports and Elif’s petition, but the DA wants Fatih’s criminal record. His record is clean, and we had to add this into the file, too. Should I take the file as it is? Omer says, go to Arda’s room and he will meet him in 5 minutes.

Omer brings Elif to an empty office. Omer says they need Nilufer. Do you think she’ll file a complaint? Elif thinks she will. He asks, when is she coming? I didn’t force her, she replies, she didn’t want to come. It’s hard for her to get over her love. Omer understands but says they don’t have anything else except her (Elif’s) complaint. He would feel better if Nilu filed and identified Fatih. We can’t risk it. Elif says she’ll bring Nilu.

Elif grabs Omer’s hand and stops him from leaving. I don’t know how to thank you. I can’t describe how happy I am right now. He says he hasn’t done anything yet. You kept your promise and put an end to this nightmare, she says. You are my hero. It’s my duty, signorina, he replies. She plants a kiss on him. She can’t help herself. She tells him, you’re very attractive when you work like this. My admiration increases.

#65 part 3

Look at this, Omer smiles, do I always have to achieve such success to win your heart? Would you still think I’m some sort of Superman if I was shot? Elif raises a finger. Don’t you dare, she warns. Don’t ever say anything like that again. He nods. The sun rose for us today, she says, things will get better. Omer says, let’s get Fatih to talk first, then we’ll destroy Tayyar. And then we can be happy.

Elif puts her hands over her face. She forgot to tell Omer something very important. Tayyar is not Fatih’s uncle. He’s his father. Omer is stunned.

Huseyin is driving. He speaks with Tayyar on phone. It’s done. Prepare the plane and I’ll take care of it. We don’t want to leave traces behind.

Omer really wants Elif to leave. She’s a distraction from his work. When she’s around he wants to look in her eyes and touch her hair. He even thinks about this when she’s not around. Then I better go, she says. She tells him, we have a long life ahead of us. He agrees.

Pelo tells Omer Fatih is at the station. He doesn’t have a lawyer that’s not Tayyar’s, so they called one for him. Pelo and Omer enter the interrogation room. Omer starts off by asking Fatih if he’s hungry. How can anyone have an appetite in a place like this, Fatih replies. How about tea or coffee? Fatih scoffs. Omer tells Pelo to order tea for him and two simits with cheese and add something sweet, too.

Fatih asks, who’s the good cop and who’s the bad cop? Just so you know, I’m not going to be afraid of that girl. You should change your roles. If you knew that girl, Omer replies, you’d be a lot more afraid. Life is so strange, Omer continues, if everything were normal, we would have met at the local coffeehouse or played pool. We could’ve gotten along well. I’m better at pool than you, Fatih replies.

Omer notes that Fatih has had a tough life. Family is the safest part of a person’s life. Even the smallest problem can ruin one’s life. Especially when it comes to a father. If you don’t trust your father in this life, then you’re broken. Tayyar had no right to use a son like you and ruin your life. Omer leans in. I know everything about you, Fatih. I know what Tayyar did to you and your mother.

Fatih looks like he’s cracking. Omer continues, I know he never told you he was your father. He played the role of an uncle. Do you realize that you’re the victim here? Fatih gives a very slight acknowledgement. Omer says, so what if he’s your father? He’s destroyed a lot of lives including yours. Even the life of the woman you love. Tell me, Fatih. Tell me all you know about Tayyar Dundar. Did he kill Ahmet Denizer and Sibel Andac? Tell me so I can save you and Elif from him.

Fatih tries to keep himself under control. He asks, was it Nilufer who told you all about this? Omer doesn’t answer.

The time says “saat 14:40”. We went backwards in time in previous episode by 16 hours (saat 16 önce) and now time is ticking off.

Fatih has simit and tea. He thanks Omer. Omer notes that Fatih doesn’t have a criminal record. It might feel a little strange being here, he tells Fatih. Don’t worry, I’m here for you. Ask whatever you want. Fatih asks to make a phone call. Omer is okay with that. Fatih adds, I have to ask you to let this call be private. I want to speak with my mother. No one from the station must know.

#65 part 4

Omer says, give me her address and I’ll pick her up. Don’t worry, I’ll make sure she’s safe. Fatih replies, before you even find her, the birds here will carry the news to Tayyar, and Tayyar will kill my mother. Omer is surprised. Fatih tells him, I know firsthand that not everyone keeps a secret around here. Omer quickly asks, do you know who Tayyar’s informant is? Tell me and I’ll get rid of him.

Fatih doesn’t answer that question. He replies, you know Tayyar, help me out and give me the phone. I really need to call my mother. I need to make sure she’s okay. Omer gives his phone to Fatih, and he calls the guy who’s supposed to be watching his mom that has left her. The guy says that Nevin is alright. He asks, how are you calling me from interrogation? Did they let you go already?

Fatih is suspicious. He asks how he knows this. The guy says he heard it from one of the bros. Fatih realizes that Tayyar must know too. He tells the guy not to leave his mom alone for even one second. If you think something is wrong, go to the other address I gave you. Tell my mom I’m fine. Call ends.

Omer notes, mothers are precious. Is she okay? Fatih looks unsure but he nods yes. I know you’re afraid of Tayyar, Omer says. Fatih says he’s not afraid, just cautious with him. If I had known that you were such a caring guy, I would have been arrested a long time ago.

Omer replies, I decide how I will be according to whom I face. If you help me, I’ll help you. If you become my enemy, I’ll become your executioner. Now, if you tell me everything from the beginning and give me the evidence that puts Tayyar in jail, I will go to the DA and tell him you helped us. I’ll do my best to get you a reduced sentence. One day more or less, Fatih replies, you can’t convince me like that. But if you do what I want… I will give you Tayyar. Omer asks, what do you want? We don’t hear the answer.

Omer comes to the Denizer house. Elif and her sisters come to the door. He asks Elif to talk in private. She steps outside with him. She asks him about Fatih and Omer tells her not to worry. He’s going to tell us everything. He’s going to give us Tayyar. Elif senses there’s still a problem. Omer says Fatih has a final request—he wants to see Nilufer.

Elif is against it. I was so relieved when he was arrested. It meant he wouldn’t be around my sister anymore. We’d finally be safe. Omer admits he didn’t like this at first either, but they have to get Fatih to talk. Otherwise, this would all be for nothing. Elif believes that Fatih is planning something. He thinks he got caught because of Nilufer. He wants to get revenge. Nilufer is already a wreck, she says, I can’t let him harm her.

Omer proposes to increase security. I’ll make sure Arda and Pelin don’t leave her for a minute. They can talk behind glass. Or bars will be between them. I’ll be there. He won’t be able to do anything to her. Elif is very worried. Omer says Nilu is like a sister to him. He wouldn’t let Fatih do anything to her. They start arguing about trust issues.

Tayyar is trying to reach Huseyin with no luck. Pinar enters the room. She tells him that Mert packed all his things and is gone. Tayyar rips into her for not telling him sooner. She says she tried to stop him. He yells, you should have told me! Where did he go? Pinar doesn’t know.

Huseyin calls and Tayyar shouts at Pinar to get lost. Tayyar asks, is the job done? We don’t hear the answer.

#65 part 5

Omer tells Elif he wouldn’t have asked this if there was another way. We must get Fatih to speak. If he wants to see Nilu, then we must do it. Elif says, just like you found a way to catch him, we’ll find a way to make him talk. Nilu comes out and tells them not to argue. She’ll go and talk with Fatih. Elif objects. Nilu asks if she’s understood correctly. If I don’t do this, you might have to free Fatih? Omer says not exactly, but they do lack sufficient evidence.

Elif and Omer argue a little more. Omer says they need that connection between Fatih and Tayyar. Elif says they will think about it. Omer agrees but tells her to remember they only have 24 hours, maybe less, to keep him in detention. Omer leaves. Nilufer runs out after Omer—wait, I’m coming with you. Elif comes out, too. She wants to go with them. Nilu assures Elif she’ll be alright. She shouldn’t come. Omer tells Elif he’ll call her. Don’t leave Asli alone.

Huseyin brings Nevin to a house. There’s a man waiting there. Huseyin tells Nevin he has to leave to meet Fatih. This guy will take care of her. Uh oh, Tayyar appears right behind Nevin. Good evening, he starts. She’s frightened. Don’t be afraid, he says, don’t unsettle yourself. How was your trip? Was it good?

Nilu is very nervous on the way to the station. Omer assures her he will be with her. She asks him if Fatih is angry with her. Maybe, Omer replies, but I’ll be nearby, and I won’t let him approach you. You won’t be close to him. He will try to influence you, manipulate you, so keep calm. Talk as little as possible and don’t answer questions.

Omer sees Nilu holding the amulet. He asks her about it. She says it’s nothing, just an amulet. He asks, did Fatih give it to you? She nods yes and tries not to cry.

Elif and Asli have dinner. Elif can’t eat, she wants to go to the station. Asli tells her not to overreact. Elif insists on going. Asli makes her sit back down. She advises, you can’t control everything in life all the time. What did Omer tell you? Don’t come, I’ll be with her. Let him do his job now. Elif sighs.

And we are out.

The interchange between Fatih and Tayyar was memorable in episode 64. You can see that Fatih has been mentally abused so much that he fully expects his father to kill him at some point, so why not now? He goads his father, showing no fear.
Tayyar’s memorable line was that Fatih was an ankle bracelet around his soul. What a weird way to think of your flesh and blood!

Episode 65 was also full of action. This is an exciting part of the dizi. I like all the Omer-Fatih interaction. Like cat and mouse, but who is the cat? They are both smart and cunning.
Nilufer is a wobbly witness.
Arda keeps remarking about Husseyn’s unusual behavior. Is anyone listening to him? Pelin thinks it’s annoying. Omer can’t hear what Arda is saying because it’s his brother. Will Arda be in danger?

Great summary of 65, Dondi!

Thanks Dondi!

The intrigue ramps up!!! I can't wait to keep watching and see what happens with Nilu and Fatih....and Tayyar and Nevin. Why oh why was she stupid enough to tell Huseyin where she was??? After dealing with Tayyar for however many years old Fatih is (at least) she should have been smarter than that!!

I really hope Arda isn't in danger even though I am finding him annoying lately......
