Kara Para Ask – Black Money Love – Amor y Dinero Negro – Amor de contrabando
Episode 95 #1
At the setup where Arda was targeted for murder, Ipek has been shot in the stomach, and Omer is with her. Arda has been shot in the arm, also. Elif drives up after watching from afar, She gets out of her car and runs toward the scene, while Pelin tries to restrain her. The man inside is still shooting. Ipek is starting to lose consciousness. Omer tells Pelin to go inside. Bad man comes out the side and heads to his car. Omer yells at him to stop and then shoots him from behind. It looks like he hits his leg.
Reinforcements arrive and they arrest the bad guys. Omer leaves it in charge of Tolga (I think).
Elif runs to Omer: Are you OK?
Arda tells them to call an ambulance. Omer tries to get Ipek to respond. The decide they need to get her to the hospital now and cancel the ambulance because a wreck on the highway was slowing it down. Ipek tells Omer she is stronger than she looks. Omer carries Ipek to the car and they all drive to the hospital. Elif is watching all this. Elif checks on Arda, who says he is OK.
Omer is trying to keep Ipek, awake. It might be hard for Elif to watch him carrying her.
Huso is sitting near the fishing boats, drinking, eating, and crying for Arda (and probably all the stupid decisions he has made). Tayyar joins him. Huso: May Allah bless his soul. (He wipes away tears.) It’s over. Did he suffer? Did they take him to the hospital?
Tayyar: I didn’t come to bring you good news. I’m sorry. They didn’t kill him.
Huso stands up in anger [a quick change of mood for Huso!]: What stupidity are you telling me? Can’t you do anything right? Have you forgotten how to kill a man?
Tayyar: Calm down, Husseyn. Relax. It is not our fault what happened. It’s all because of your blasted brother. He showed up again and saved your little friend, Arda. Ipek was hurt.
Huso sits back down.
Tayyar: You must agree that the situation is bad.
Huso: What situation are you talking about? That’s my life. You get to go back to your house when everything is finished. But, what about me? I will have to look at them in the face as if nothing happened. Now they know everything. Surely they will tell Omer.
Tayyar: Why are you so nervous? Arda may not have noticed.
Huso: Of course he noticed. Do you think he’s a stupid kid? You stole my life with that bullet, my life, my work, my wife, my kids, my mother, you stole everything. And now you are stealing my beloved brother. Haven’t you noticed?
Tayyar: He is a very sentimental type, isn’t he?
Huso: Shut up for once
Tayyar: You haven’t lost anything. I’m not going to leave you alone. I will save you no matter what happens. Besides, I have a new plan of action. I’ve assigned it to Fatih; he will be working on it.
Huso: And you think that he’s going to let you? He would protect Arda with his own life. If you ruin it again, then…
Tayyar interrupts: Shut up. Better to stay with your lover. Listen to me, I want to talk about the next plan of action.
Huso: What do we do? I’m asking, what do we do?
Tayyar: We are going to squash Omer and all his people. (Tayyar has another drink.)
Huso looks very serious.

Episode 95 #2
Elif is sitting upstairs at the hospital, and Omer runs up the stairs to her, telling her he has good news, Signorina: Ipek is well. I just talked to her doctor.
Elif: That’s good.
Omer: They won’t let us see her yet. They are still attending to her. The nurse says that Ipek hasn’t stopped complaining. I guess she is like I was, wanting to leave and bothering everyone. I guess it’s because we police hate hospitals.
Elif: I understand but we still need to visit Arda.
They get up to go to his room. Arda is already trying to get up, and Pelin is telling him he isn’t doing what the doctor told him to do. He is supposed to stay lying down. He tells her he needs to visit Ipek. Pelin tells him that they don’t let anyone in yet.
Arda: She might have died for me that night. I can’t stay seated.
Pelin: OK, get up, get up (she grabs his arm). You are going to the surgery room and you are magic. See if you can cure all this as easily as you think.
Arda: I will have to be operated on if you keep grabbing my arm.
Pelin: Lie down. Do what the doctors told you. Don’t make me fight with you. Come on, lie down, lie down.
Arda, in a flirtatious manner: You were worried for me, right? You were afraid to lose me, right?
Pelin: Of course not. I was afraid something happened to Ipek.
Arda: Only Ipek, then?
Pelin: I think you should worry more about yourself, don’t you understand? Someone set a trap for you, and you almost died, and yet you still are smiling.
Omer enters the room with Elif.
Pelin: Arda, who tried to kill you?
Arda: We don’t know yet that it was a trap, right?
Pelin: Of course it was a trap, and they will try to kill you again. We will protect you. You won’t go anywhere without first telling us. You will always carry your firearm with you. You are going to keep your eyes well open this time.
Arda grins. Then he asks again: So, were you worried about me?
Omer: She is right, Arda, we have to request protection.
Arda: Nothing’s going to happen, Omer.
Pelin: Arda, listen to him.
Elif: It’s good to see everything back to normal. The truth is I must confess that when I first met you, I thought you were all strange, but now I understand. We should all wake up from our nightmares smiling, we need to be grateful. It makes me very happy having you all close to me
Smiles all around.
Elif: I’m sorry, I’m sorry. You were talking about something and I interrupted you. I’m sorry.
Arda: Truthfully, I don’t know what to say, Elif. Your words were so lovely, how are we going to continue talking after all that you have said?
Omer hugs Elif.
A nurse enters and tells Omer his friend (female) wants to see him in the ER. Omer and Elif look at one another. Arda asks how she is doing and the nurse says she is doing well and conscious.
Omer: I wanted to give you this good news, but the nurse wouldn’t let me.
Pelin thanks Allah. The nurse again tells him she is waiting for Omer. Omer looks uncomfortable with Elif there.
Pelin says she will go. The nurse says she wants to see Omer, but if you want to come no problem. Omer then decides he should go and leave Pelin and Elif with Arda. He says he’ll be right back. Pelin tells her she is probably going to thank him for bringing her to the hospital and not waiting for the ambulance. That must be it. Elif agrees, but her eyes look worried. She walks out of the room and watches Omer walking with the nurse down the hall. Elif walks after them. He enters and tells Ipek he is there. The door is open and Elif can see him talking with Ipek.

Episode 95 #3
Ipek: I don’t remember anything. Pelin told me everything. Elif and you brought me here in your car. I’d like to thank her also.
Omer: You get better, nothing else matters.
They look at one another intently, not exactly a lover’s glance, but not exactly a coworker’s glance either.
Ipek: Thank you for everything, Omer. He reaches out to touch her head, but he pulls his hand back.
Elif sees this and looks thoughtful.
Omer: It’s fine, I did what anyone would have done in the situation.
Ipek: Thank you for everything you did.
Omer: So, what did you want to say?
Ipek points at her wounded stomach. Just then, up come Nedret and Asli. The aunt says they told them Elif was in the hospital, I was so worried for you. What happened?
Elif: I’m fine. You should have called me. It wasn’t necessary for you to come.
Asli: We couldn’t sit there waiting until someone told us about the shooting. You may be used to this, but we aren’t.
Nedret: Darling, why are you doing this? For the love of Allah, what would we do if something happened to you? If they had hurt you? Tell me. And I’m also very worried for Omer. First they shoot him and now they shoot his friends as well. What dangerous work. Now tell me where is he?
Nedret walks past and sees Omer in Ipek’s room. She asks Elif what’s going on.
Elif: Aunt, they shot Ipek, but she looks like she will be OK.
Nedret: Is that Omer with her? I’m not wrong, am I?
Elif: Omer and I brought her in the car. He is worried about her.
Pelin peeks out of a door and asks Elif to join her.
Omer leaves Ipek’s room and shuts the door, then he notices his welcoming committee.
Omer: Welcome.
Nedret: I’m sorry for what happened.
Omer: Thank you, ma’am.
Nedret: But I think you are making a mistake, you know. Really. Leaving your fiancée alone in the hospital and then remembering old times with your ex? Does she worry you more?
Omer: Please, my friends are fighting for their lives here and I don’t understand why you are angry if Elif is in agreement with me on this.
Nedret: Yes, I know that you are now engaged, but you don’t know anything about her, Omer. She is very intelligent and very patient but try not to abuse this just because she doesn’t say anything.
Asli: I think you had better be careful, Columbo, you are flying very close to the sun.
Omer: Puh-lease, Asli, you know well that I would never hurt Elif.
Nedret: Of course, we know that, or I would have talked to her way back about this. But I want you to know something, Omer: if you come to hurt my niece, if she gets hurt because of Ipek or something like that, you will know who I am. You are warned.
Elif joins them after talking with Pelin. She asks what’s going on.
Nedret: Nothing, dear, just talking with Omer about Ipek’s status. He says she will be fine.
Omer: Elif, Ipek thanks you very much for what you did.
Elif smiles and Omer hugs her. The bigger their smile, the more Nedret’s smile fades.
As they are walking through the hospital, Omer asks Elif if she’s angry with him.
Elif: No.
Omer: Well, I’m angry with you.
Elif: Why?

Episode 95 #4
Omer: You didn’t do what I asked.
Elif: Well, I couldn’t stay seated there in the car.
Omer: What should I do with you? I was very scared. I told you not to come. I told you to stay in the car. But you didn’t follow my directions. Stubborn! Yes, you are a valiant girl, but please next time think about me when you want to be valiant, OK?
Elif: Mmmhmm, and you also think about me.
Omer stares at her: You are just like me. We are both crazy. That’s why you are my destiny.
He hugs her, but she looks troubled.
Elif: Omer.
Omer: Elif.
Elif: Every time your eyes look at me, I’ll be happy.
He shushes her.
Omer: I don’t want that poem to define us. The poet (I didn’t get the name) wrote this poem for a third person, and I don’t want anyone between us. I can’t be a lover of someone else, and my eyes also can’t look at those of another person ever again.
He looks at the hospital exit: Let’s go, and they leave arm in arm.
Nedret and Asli see them come out of the hospital. They see Nedret and Asli getting in their car.
Omer wishes them good evening. Nedret says something like good evenings are bad. Asli wishes them good evening.
Elif and Omer kiss cheeks, he tells her they will talk later, and she joins her family.
He smiles at her and walks back to the building.
Asli: Now you should go after him to say goodbye.
Elif: What are you talking about?
Asli: After living in Europe, you have gotten very lax, Elif. How many things does your fiancée need to do with his ex now?
Elif: Asli, what are you talking about?
Asli: You should get Omer out of this place like no one died, so there is no need to stay, right?
Elif: Ipek might have died.
Asli: It’s for that that Omer is here.
Elif: Are you saying stupid things again?
Asli: Do you completely trust him?
Elif: Yes.
Asli: Good. I also trust Omer, but should I trust a woman I don’t know?
Elif: Look, a woman doesn’t always signify a threat.
Asli laughs: Women love the rivalry, darling, otherwise why do so many run after married or engaged men?
Elif: You know, why don’t you dedicate yourself to writing novels? You have lots of talent to do so, I’m serious.
Nedret: Asli is right, Elif. Really, this doesn’t look good. Omer is an engaged man, dear, what could he be doing with his ex? This doesn’t look right at all.
Elif: I can’t believe this. Ipek has a son.
Nedret: She has a son?
Elif: No one is going to cause problems for Omer and me. If we have some problem, we will solve it the two of us.

Episode 95 #5
Arda is trying to dress, and his arm is very painful. Omer walks in: What are you doing? Wait a minute. What are you doing? Everything in its proper time.
He forces him back to the bed.
Arda: All right. I’ll sit down.
Omer tells him he is going to the interrogation of the man that shot him.
Arda: That “tipo” is giving all sorts of excuses. He says he didn’t know that I was a policeman. Then he said that (Omer goes over to close the door) they had paid him to do it, and when they asked him, he said he couldn’t remember who it was. He mentioned an intermediary, but he knows nothing about him.
Omer: This is a typical job of Tayyar. You need to take much care now.
Arda: Why would Tayyar be aiming his anger at me?
The two friends stare at one another for a while.
Finally, Omer says what both have been thinking: My brother.
Arda: Are you sure of this, Omer?
Omer: They set a trap for you. They don’t want the connection between Tayyar and my brother to come to light.
Arda: And how did Tayyar find out?
Omer: My brother told him. (He stands up) When I was gathering information about the bank account that he has, that woman figured out what I was doing. I kept going because I was so angry. I told her that she should ask Husseyn who I was. And for sure they contacted my brother. Our description, Arda, is very similar. Most likely he thinks it was you. He was so used to lying to me that I didn’t even think that I was the suspect. And to prevent you telling, he tried to kill my dear friend.
Arda: But, Husseyn values me highly. He just took the wrong road. But he’s not a murderer.
Omer: Arda, before I could accept this, you don’t know how many times I repeated in my head many times: my brother isn’t a murderer. My brother has a conscience. He would never make such a mistake. He wouldn’t sell his dignity. I had these words in my head always. But I couldn’t console myself nor convince myself.
Arda: Agreed. Now what do we do?
Omer: I had planned to talk to him this afternoon. I was going to tell him to listen to me Brother, the truth hurts, but the lie can end someone’s life. But now I’m not going to do that.
Arda: Why not?
Omer: Because of you, my friend, who from now on will be the target for these people.
Omer: So, we wait in silence, we will act like what happened last night didn’t happen. We will put together enough evidence and we will prove his guilt.
Arda: Comrade, Mr. Husseyn is your blood. Could you put handcuffs on his like a thief?
Omer: Friend, you know me. I’m a policeman. That means my brother will have to pay for what he did, just like other criminals.
Arda: When we are playing this game, many people will be hurt. I will do all I can to help you come out of this in the best possible way, friend.
The two friends look at one another.
Omer: Arda, I hope you don’t see me as your friend.
Arda: What are you talking about? You are my great brother, Omer. [Could mean great or older brother.]. Hasn’t this been the case since we were in the academy?
They grin, embracing one another with their smiles.

Episode 95 #6
There’s a knock on the door. Guess who comes in!!! Husseyn.
They both manage to smile at him, a bit wanly.
Husseyn stares for a while and then says: Ah, here you are. What’s the deal with the employees here? I told them that you were police, and they responded about how many police are here. Just you and Arda.
He tells Arda to sit down.
Arda: I’m fine, Sir.
Huso: You nearly killed me with fright. How are you feeling?
Arda: Fine, thank you.
Huso asks for an abrazo. Arda looks at Omer uncomfortably while this is happening.
Huso: Hey, stop scaring this old guy, I nearly lost one of my best men. When I thought I had, I nearly went crazy. What is this? How can someone be so insignificant? How can they try to take the life of an official of police? We protect life, the property, and the honor of everyone. How dare they?
Omer looks away, hating this false display.
Arda: Whatever, Sir. This is over.
Huso: What do you mean here it ends? Look at you. But relax, relax, if I don’t find those jerks and cut them in thousands of pieces and if I don’t make them pay for what they did, then I guess I’m not Husseyn the Wolf.
Omer: I’ll never leave you alone, my friend. Whoever tried to kill him, I will kill. (Omer looks directly into Huso’s eyes when he says this. Huso looks impactado.)
In a nightclub, a singer in a sparkly dress begins to sing, while a waiter tosses petals at her. This is all for the benefit of the guest of honor, sitting comfortably in a corner chair, watching the singer. It is Tayyar. After a bit, we see his guest walk in, Fatih. Tayyar sounds drunk and asks Fatih to join him, giving him a drink. Fatih tells Tayyar that he always makes people come to his party the way he wants it.
Fatih: I investigated the girl that you asked me to, Captain Ipek. She is a woman of a maniac, someone from Bursa. It wasn’t an amicable separation. Serrat won’t let her see the son they have. So, there are big problems.
Tayyar: Magnificent. This is perfect. We will use it. Everything will turn out well. It’s a great story.
Fatih: Yes, it’s a great story, like those stories about fathers. Some give their lives for their children; others take their kidneys. Take good care of that kidney that you took from me because if you want the other, you’ll have to kill me.
Tayyar looks a little subdued at this and puts down his drink unfinished.
Then a blonde woman comes and sits by Fatih. She wishes him good evening. He tells her good evening but that he doesn’t want anything; he is not interested. She looks at Tayyar for directions. He gestures for her to leave.
Fatih: So, you had a surprise for me.
Tayyar: It is said that a fire will put out another.
Fatih: So, don’t tell me that you are trying to act like a father. I’m going to tell you something, so listen. I’m not an adolescent, believe me that this fire from my heart still burns.
Tayyar: So, you love Nilufer, boy?
Fatih: Understand that that love is out of your reach.
Tayyar: Why don’t you go find the girl, bring her here and let’s have a fairy tale wedding.
Fatih: I don’t know what is wrong with your head. You wanted me to forget her. Now you have different plans?
Tayyar: I’m thinking about my son, man, I didn’t give you many things. Now I want you to have everything. Your father is on your side, and I want you to have your beloved there, too.
Fatih: And you think I would believe that you actually want this? I don’t buy it. This doesn’t fit your personality.

Episode 95 #7
Tayyar: Call Nilufer and bring her here right away.
Fatih: That fast, you could detain her?
Tayyar: Doesn’t the girl love you?
Fatih tells him he loves her so much, but there are problems. He tells Tayyar his trash is the problem. After all that Fatih has done for Tayyer, does he think that Nilufer would still be his?
Tayyar yells at Fatih. He is like a mountain that backs him. He is the son of Tayyar Dundar. You are so useless that you continue loving the girl from a distance? Go and find her.
Fatih stands and walks off. Tayyar sits with a little grin and has another drink.
Back in the hospital, Huso, Omer, and Arda enter Ipek’s room.
Huso kisses her and she smiles. He tells her if a police officer has backup, it indicates that all is well. Well done, girl, he tells Ipek.
Ipek tells him she didn’t do anything. Anyone would have done what I did.
Huso says no one should underestimate this team, Ipek.
Is there another team of police like this where all are so united and everyone protects the rest? We are all good people. I’m proud of you. No one is safe after this.
Omer is giving Huso a frowny look.
Huso continues: But I’m not distinctive like you. In addition, I’m your chief and your friend. Ipek, I’ll always be your reinforcement, don’t forget it.
Arda has a wry look.
Ipek: Thank you, Mr. Husseyn, thank you.
Huso: I’ll kiss you again!
He kisses both cheeks and Omer finally tells his brother that’s enough.
Huso looks at Omer.
Huso: What’s wrong? I just wanted to lift her energy.
Omer: You’re trying too hard. Brother, where were you last night? I thought you were going to visit the son of your friend.
Husseyn looks furtively at Omer and Arda: And that’s what I did. Everything was good with him and then I went for another drink. Is it prohibited?
The brothers stare at one another for a bit. Then Omer grins: You did well. But now, go home and rest.
Huso: Look, now he believes me. I’d better leave. I’m a bit tired. Good, then get better soon you two. There is lots of work to do still.
Omer bids Huso goodbye at the door to the room.
Omer’s sad gaze follows Huso for a while. Then he closes the door.
Mert and Demet enter a restaurant bar. Some are playing darts, and Mert asks if she can play.
Demet: We used to play when we painted a target on a tree and learned to play.
Mert jokes that he should challenge her to a wager that he will surely win. She asks him to stop calling her “girl.” She is 21.
Mert: Ya, ya. I forget that I’m going out with a woman.
Demet loves this.
Mert’s phone rings. It’s Nilufer. He excuses himself to take the call.
Demet watches him with a sad expression.
Nilufer tells Mert she is so bored. She wants to know if they could go out this evening. He tells her OK, but that he is not alone.
Nilufer: Are you with her?
Mert: No, it’s not her.

Episode 95 #8
Nilufer: Then who?
Mert: I went out with a (female) friend.
Nilufer: You went out with that girl from the office. That’s why you’re talking that way.
Mert: I don’t know what you are talking about.
Nilufer: I’m talking about the niece of Omer whose name, what was it, who has so much self-confidence.
Mert: It doesn’t matter who it is.
Nilufer: You know, I’m sorry I called you to go out. Better, the two of you have fun together.
Nilufer hangs up and walks out of her room in a bad mood.
Mert looks over at Demet. He smiles at her.
In the hospital, Ipek is reaching for Omer’s phone that he forgot. It’s ringing. It’s Elif and Ipek answers.
Elif: I didn’t want to call, but it was important to tell Omer something. Isn’t he with you?
Ipek: He was here but he’s gone. I just noticed he left his phone when he was here. When he comes back, I’ll tell him you called.
Elif thanks her and hangs up.
Asli is watching Elif and wants to know what’s up. Elif says nothing, but Asli tells her it’s obvious from her face that something happened.
Elif: It’s just that I called Omer and Ipek answered. It surprised me. That’s all.
Asli: What? She is so comfortable with this situation, how can she answer his phone knowing that you are the one calling?
Elif: She might have thought something important happened and that’s why she answered. I don’t know.
Asli: I swear you have the patience of a saint. The girl answered the telephone of Omer, and you say it doesn’t matter. Fine. I would strangle her. I swear that I would. And have you noticed how naïve you are?
Elif: I’m going to bed.
Ipek is in her hospital bed holding a phone. She tries to get up. At that moment, Omer walks in.
Omer: Hey, what are you doing? Don’t get up!
Ipek: I wanted to give you your telephone. Elif called. I shouldn’t have answered but I thought it might be important. I’m very sorry. She didn’t say anything. Maybe she just called to talk.
Omer: Sure. I’m going to the station now.
Ipek: That’s good. See you.
Omer walks out of the room and closes the door.
He calls Elif immediately. She doesn’t answer. [Uh oh!] He listens to the ringing and hangs up when the message comes on. He is worried.
Elif is sitting on her bed very upset.
Nilufer is going to bed. She hears a sound. She opens the patio door and, of course, in walks Fatih in a hoodie.
Fatih: It’s me, princess. Don’t be afraid. You have no idea of how much I missed you.
Nilufer: Leave right now or I will start to scream, and the police will be up right away.
Fatih, looks at her with that sideway expression of his: We both know that you would never turn me in. Isn’t that right, princess?
Nilufer: Of course not because betrayal is your specialty. Right? You have to betray me, no matter what state you’re in.
Fatih: I told you once that in the house of Bahar I asked you to come with me. You told me you couldn’t. That you had a family. So, I thought that you wanted me out of your life. I thought it was the end.

Episode 95 #9
Nilufer: What, so you slept with another woman right then? And what’s even worse, Bahar was my friend. I don’t believe you and here you are inventing excuses. You are disgraceful and I don’t want to know anything about you Fatih.
They both swear at each other.
Fatih: Nilufer! I would die for you, don’t you know?
Nilufer: It doesn’t matter, Fatih.
Fatih: I matter because you know that you are my other half. Without you I’m nothing. And without me, you don’t exist. Let’s give ourselves a new morning, let’s look at the dawn together. Marry me, Nilufer.
They stare at one another lovingly for a bit.
Nilufer: It’s your fault that I can’t look at a dawn the same way, Fatih. You always left me in the darkness.
Fatih: Nilufer, let’s try again. You deserve it. I deserve it also. This time it will be how you always dreamed. This is a promise. Even if you don’t believe it, my father likes the idea, although even if he didn’t it wouldn’t matter to me. Actually, it matters not what that man thinks, although it serves us to stay away from his people. We will leave the world outside, my life, and together we will built a place away from this. Nilufer, just think about it. If you want to always be in my life, be on the beach at midnight.
He reaches over and kisses her and she responds.
Fatih then leaves.
She is overwhelmed.
At the restaurant, Demet starts to leave.
Met: Demet, where are you going? We haven’t eaten yet!
He runs to get in front of her.
Mert: I thought we would play darts. What happened?
Demet: Tell me why you brought me here, Mert.
Mert: Isn’t it a nice place? Do you not like it?
Demet: Who were you talking to just now? Was it with another “friend” like me?
Mert looks away.
Demet: Good evening (and she goes to leave).
Mert looks disappointed, but he doesn’t run after her or kiss her or….
At the hospital, Arda is walking down the hall. He sees an orderly doing something with some bottles. Arda is no fool. He recognizes the orderly and walks back to him.
Arda: Do we know each other?
Orderly: I don’t think so, sir.
Arda continues to stare at him and asks him to stop. He reaches out and grabs him. He says: What’s up doctor? Don’t they pay you enough and you need a second job?
At the station, Omer is typing a message to Elif.

Babachita
Thanks, Babachita!
Arda lives!!! And Ipek will too! I found everyone's reaction to Omer's daring to visit Ipek hospital room eye role inducing. They're old friends and coworkers and she was shot at a crime scene while taking a bullet for his best friend - why wouldn't he check on her? Do they really find it unreasonable that he would? They react as if he shouldn't have entered that room. I'm not a jealous person, so maybe I just don't get it...
Demet on the other hand had every reason to be upset, and good for her for sticking up for herself once again!
Is Nilu in danger? Tayyar declared to Huso that he was going to go after Omer and all of his people and next thing we know he's suddenly encouraging Fatih to bring Nilu around...this can't be good.
Thank you Darcy.
I don’t know if you saw Dondi’s entry, might be on Telemundo page. She is having tech trouble. It’s possible she won’t get her kpa up tomorrow or…. If so, you might hold off until early next week on yours. I told I could do hers but haven’t heard back. So, I guess you’ll need to be flexible if we keep them in order. I’ll let you know when i know.
Babachita
Darcy, I think Nedret is causing all the Ipek drama to break up Omer and Elif. Asli doesn’t help. I think Ipek and Omer are behaving nicely as exes. Elif is generally understanding so I blame Nedret (andHusseyn) for this nonsense.
Babachita
I'm here. I have a temporary solution to my tech issue. I'll have a recap up shortly.
Thanks for the Friday recap, Babachita.
And I need to thank Darcy for last Sunday. Your recaps are a real treat. I've always enjoyed reading them.
I can understand the shock at finding out about Ipek at first, but this has become ridiculous. A tempest in a çaydanlık (teapot). I guess it's anything to keep Elmer apart. We still have 68 episodes to go.
#96 part 1
Since Elif didn’t answer his call, Omer texts her. Signorina, you called me and I called you back but you didn’t answer. I guess you’re sleeping now but if you’re not, call me. I miss your voice. Sweet dreams, I love you. Elif is very sad. Omer picks up his phone and looks at his wallpaper picture of Elif. I love you so much, he says.
Ali comes to Huseyin’s house. Huso goes outside to meet him. He’s not happy that Ali came. I’m not here for pleasure, Ali says, I have news for you. You told me to keep you informed about anything related to Bahar’s murder. Your people have started investigating everything between the crime scene and the location where the body was found. Gas stations, banks, whatever comes up. They kept it especially secret from you and me. But I examined those images and guess what I saw?
Ali shows Huso his phone. There it is. Huso stopped at a gas station. This is a deserted street near where the body was found, he says. Going to a gas station in the middle of the night, what a smart move! Bravo! Allah kahretsin, Huso mutters. Ali asks, and now you’ve become a murderer, too? I was forced, Huso replies. Ali asks, what is Tayyar threatening you with? I can’t tell you, Huso answers.
You keep hiding things from me, Ali says, but then you want me to save you. What will we do now? I tried to delete the recording but couldn’t. That Emre guy, the hacker, has all the footage. They are meticulously examining every image. Today or tomorrow, they will see you and they will ask. What was Huseyin Abi doing there at that time? What will you answer? Huso asks, where is this Emre? Ali doesn’t know. Huso begs for help.
Ali asks, where is the car? Huso says he took it to a shop and it’s been dismantled. Ali says to call the boss. He will think of something. We need to find Emre and his computer before Omer or anyone else sees the recordings. Ali leaves. Huso calls Tayyar, how is the plan to get someone into Omer’s team? It’s my only way out.
Omer sets up a very clever meeting with Pinar in a shop. They are both there separately as customers who don’t know each other. They send the clerk to find some items and then they talk. She warns him, Omer you can’t just call me whenever you feel like it. You know I’m living with a psycho. You said you’d help me, Omer replies, I called you when I needed help.
Pinar asks him to quickly tell her because she must be home before Tayyar knows she’s not there. And she’s got a man following her. We see him outside. Look for something in Tayyar’s room, Omer replies. What is it, she asks. Anything with Huseyin’s name, he says. She’s shocked—your brother? Yes, anything with his name. A document, photo, anything. Let’s keep this between us, okay? Do as I ask.
Pinar says her baby is growing fast. Soon Tayyar will find out it’s not his. I’ll have to escape soon. You’re going to help me as you promised? I’ll keep all the promises I made to you, Omer replies, and I want you to do the same for me. She says she’ll call Omer if she finds anything.
Elif comes into the living room to find Asli redecorating. Asli says she decided this with Nedret’s approval. Elif asks her how are you doing this? We have no money, the company is not doing well. Asli says they can ask Auntie for money. Elif is against that. They argue and Asli stomps out of the room.
Ipek has been discharged. Pelin wants to take her home. Ipek says it’s better that Pelo go to work and find the shooter. She can take care of herself and gets a cab. A car follows Ipek’s cab. The cab suddenly stops. The driver won’t say anything to Ipek. The men from the following car get into the cab on either side of Ipek. She shouts and struggles against them. She asks, where are you taking me? You’ll find out, one guy answers.
#96 part 2
Elif is driving and another car suddenly stops in front. She gets out to confront the driver. It’s Omer. Buon giorno, he says and kisses her. You can’t have any mornings without me. This isn’t funny, she replies, we could have had an accident. Omer says he was trying to get her attention. She says she was listening to music. She tells him she was scared and she’s still shaking. He pulls her close—It’ll pass soon, while you’re in my arms, you don’t need to be afraid of anything.
What if you hurt me accidentally, she asks. Never, he replies, I’d rather die than hurt you. A single tear from your eyes, would kill me. Don’t say that, she answers, you are the only beautiful thing in my life. Don’t go… you promise? He promises.
Okay, she says, we started the morning together, now we have to go to work. Nope, Omer wants her to stay with him. She can’t because she has a meeting with Levent. We know Omer doesn’t like Levent. He insists and she asks him, what’s more important than work? It’s a surprise. She asks him if he found out who wanted to kill Arda. He wants to leave that for another time. He’s going to move her car and they will take his.
The taxi stops and Ipek tries to make a run for it. She’s easily caught. She shouts and struggles. The men drag her. She asks, are you Serhat’s dogs? A man answers, we don’t deal with little men like your husband. They put Ipek into a black SUV.
Filiz is showing Nedret pictures of Ipek’s family. They are very poor. There’s her mother. There’s her brother, he’s a disgrace. He was into drugs. Nedret asks about Ipek’s marriage and her son. Filiz has asked a neighbor of the family to come and explain.
Omer brings Elif to a real estate office. He doesn’t want to waste any time. Can we go to the place we talked about? Yes of course, the realtor says, it’s close.
The neighbor says she grew up in the house next to Ipek’s. I didn’t get an education, but she studied at the police academy and then got married. She doesn’t call me very often. Nedret asks to get to the point. Tell us about the marriage and her son.
Well, Ipek married her husband, but she was in love with someone else, the woman begins, he was also studying at the academy. He was a tall, handsome man… his name was… Omer. She was so happy. “I’m going to marry my boyfriend and we’re going to Van.” She wanted to see her mother before she left, but the rest of the story is strange. She broke up with Omer and suddenly married Serhat from our neighborhood. Everyone was shocked. Nobody knows the reasons.
Nedret wonders, why didn’t you ask her? I asked, the woman says, but she didn’t tell me anything. Nedret asks about the son. When was he born? That’s like a soap opera, the woman confides, they got married and the son was born 7 months later, premature. That’s what they said but no one believed it. The child was healthy and weighed 4 kilos. Ipek surely did something before marriage.
Nedret asks the big question, who is the father, Omer or Serhat? The woman says that people have their suspicions, but no one knows the truth. Nedret asks, what do you think? The woman thinks it’s Omer’s because Ipek wasn’t in love with her husband. She was always in love with Omer. The woman asks if she’s getting anything for helping. Filiz slides an envelope with money to the woman. Nedret looks disgusted by all this.
Nedret hopes this woman doesn’t know who she is. Filiz says she doesn’t and that Nedret was right to be suspicious about Ipek. How do we find out who the father is? We won’t, Nedret replies, someone who has direct contact with them will find out for us.
#96 part 3
Ipek is tied up in some warehouse. She demands, let me go. The man takes a photo of her son out and says we will, but only if we reach an agreement. [hmm… the boy looks like he could be Omer’s.] She asks, who are you guys?
Mediators, he replies, if you want to see your son, you’ll do whatever I tell you. You have something we are looking for. You give it to us, and we’ll give you your son. It’s footage from a gas station related to the Bahar Cinar murder. Those images are very important to us. She asks, is the killer your relative? The man slaps her. Seems you want another bullet but not this time to the stomach but to the head. Get those images and bring them to us. You’ll get your son. Do we have a deal? We don’t see Ipek’s answer.
Elmer walk through a big pink house. He’s happy imagining furniture and painting and stuff. It will be expensive, but he’ll handle it slowly. Elif looks pensive. She doesn’t match his excitement. He continues, it’s close to your house and workplace. It’s a bit inconvenient for me, but it’s okay. The head of the household should make the sacrifice. This is what my budget can afford and the landlord is generous. He heard we were getting married and gave a discount. He takes her hand, come to the garden. It is small but not bad for a big city. We could have the family over for mangal (barbecue). When we have children, we could put up a swing.
Omer goes on and on and doesn’t notice that Elif is not sharing in his enthusiasm. Finally, he asks her, what do you think? She doesn’t answer. He realizes this is nothing like her house. But I’m going to make it a warm and cozy place, he says, it will cost a bit, but we’ll do it slowly, like we did with Arda’s house. He starts spouting again, the garden, painting, etc. There’s an attic and you can see the Bosphorus from there. You can wake up with a view of the Bosphorus, just like at your house. But all I want to see when I wake up is you.
Omer looks at her, what’s wrong? You don’t like the house? What don’t you like? It’s a very nice house, Elif replies, and I’m sure it will be more beautiful when it’s painted. A house that represents Elif and Omer. Omer notes, but you didn’t say a word when we arrived. There’s clearly a problem. What happened? The problem is you, she replies. I’m the problem, he asks. She walks away. He doesn’t understand and follows her out. He wants an answer.
This is the second time you’ve done this, Elif says, and it hurt me. She tells him to think about it. He still doesn’t understand. She starts walking again, he stops her. You’re driving me crazy, he says, what did I do? She finally tells him it’s about Ipek. Ipek? She explains, you hadn’t told me she was your fiancée and we went to choose a wedding date. And last night you were with her. And now we are looking for a house. Are you trying to prove something to me? Why are you doing this? Omer is dumbfounded. Elif walks away.
Ipek says she will never betray her friends or her profession. The thug asks, even if your son’s life is at stake? You can’t touch my son, she replies, Serhat is a scoundrel but you filthy people can’t touch my son. I’ll never allow it. You think because I married Serhat, I’m like him? I’m a police officer! Now you’re going to take me back to where you found me or I won’t let you off the hook. I drag you all out of your holes and arrest you for kidnapping. The thug signals and his helpers untie and blindfold Ipek.
Pinar quietly enters Tayyar’s office after she sees him leave. She searches.
#96 part 4
Arda has something to say to Pelin. I saw a man at the hospital yesterday, the one Cigdem introduced to me as an OBGYN. He was an orderly. Pelo doesn’t want to hear anymore and says Arda must be confused. She leaves the room. Arda calls Cigdem. He’d like to see his daughter on the ultrasound again. Cigdem says she’ll call the doctor and arrange it.
Emre arrives at the squad room. Pelo asks about the cameras. I’ve been working on it, Emre tells her, there are a lot of them. All you ever do is call me for information, it’s never like, I’ll take you to the movies or for a soda. Arda interrupts—Emre! Hit the brakes, son. You can go drink your soda in the canteen, alone.
Pelo redirects the conversation. No news about Elif’s letter. We still don’t know if Fatih was in Milan or not. Emre says he has nothing to do with that. Arda gets annoyed with Emre. Don’t stress, Pelo says, I’ll call Elif. Elif is walking by the shore when Pelo calls. She asks about the letter to the Italian consulate. Elif says she’ll talk to her friend and let her know.
Pinar continues to search. The housekeeper enters with a vase of flowers. Pinar quickly puts papers down. The woman asks, were you looking for something? Do you need help? I was looking for a doctor’s report, Pinar replies, and why are you coming in without knocking? I didn’t expect you to be here, the woman says, and Tayyar Bey already left. Pinar tells her to leave the flowers and go. The housekeeper leaves and she stands outside thinking. Will she tell Tayyar? Pinar worries on the other side of the door.
The bad guys have Ipek in the SUV. The thug continues to threaten her. I see your son is very handsome, he says, he might fall and disfigure his face, ruining it for life. Although, that’s better than losing his life, Allah korusun (God forbid). Ipek shouts—don’t you dare hurt my son! I didn’t say I would touch him, the thug replies, fate will touch him, it will trip him or slap him. You had better pray for him. I’ll kill you, Ipek replies, I swear I’ll kill you! The thug says, Allah is the only one who knows how long anyone will live. Neyse… take this. He slips a card into her hand. If you change your mind, call and bring the recordings. Only you can protect your son.
Pinar continues her search. She finds a box with CDs. One of them says Huseyin Demir. She makes a copy.
Omer returns to the station. Pelo sees that he’s upset. She asks, is this because of the case or did you argue with Elif? It’s Elif, he replies, no matter what I do, Ipek is a problem. Pelo says to give her time, she’ll relax as she gets to know Ipek. That reminds Pelo, she wants to call Ipek. Arda enters the room. Pelo tells them that Ipek isn’t answering her call. Pelo tries the home phone. Ipek isn’t answering.
Elif drives to the police station. She spots Ipek getting out of the SUV. Ipek doesn’t look well. Arda and Pelo are about to leave to check on Ipek, but she comes through the door. Everyone is worried about her. Pelo helps her to a chair. Ipek faints and they sit her down. Ipek? Are you alright?
Pinar is about to contact Omer when Fatih comes into her room. What were you looking for in the office? She tells him to get out. Don’t deny it, he says, the maid told me. What did you take from the room? She tells him to get out, or she will complain to Tayyar. He grabs her and takes her phone. He reads: Omer I found something. She begs him not to tell Tayyar. Fatih continues reading: a CD with your brother’s name on it. Fatih says, well look at our komiser. He hired you as a spy.
#96 part 5
Ipek drinks some water. She says she’s fine. Let’s not exaggerate this. You fainted, Pelo says, you look terrible, how do you say you’re okay? Arda thinks they should take Ipek to the hospital and he says he will carry her. How can you, Omer says, your arm is injured. He’ll carry Ipek. Ipek says she’s fine, no need. But Omer picks her up over her objections. And of course, this is when Elif enters the squad room. Awkward silence…
Kolay gelsin, Elif softly says. Pelo speaks up, Ipek fainted and we thought we’d take her to the hospital. Elif replies, oh, really? Ipek says she doesn’t need to go to a doctor. Can you put me down? Omer doesn’t take his eyes off Elif. He lets Ipek down and Pelo and Arda help her back to a chair.
Elif says she won’t take much time. She has something from the consulate with information on Fatih. It says he was under arrest on the night my father and Sibel were murdered, March 12. He was arrested for 10 days after he was involved in a fight at a nightclub on March 10. The arrest warrant and release orders are here. He couldn’t be in two places at the same time, so he didn’t kill my father, Sibel, or Bahar. Arda says the first thing to do is find the weapon. Elif leaves. Omer is frustrated and he follows her out.
Omer grabs Elif outside the station. She breaks free—you go take care of the cutie pie “ponçik”. He tells her she’s being ridiculously jealous. Like a child. Am I jealous, she replies. Yes, he answers, the girl fainted. What was I supposed to do? Should I just watch or take care of her? Arda’s arm is injured. Besides, you keep making sarcastic remarks about the nickname. Arda gave her that name. You’re hitting the wrong target.
Elif fires back, are you saying I’m being capricious and possessive? Is that the kind of woman your Elif is? Omer, I promised you unconditional love. She points to her ring and adds, it seems you didn’t promise the same. He asks her to listen. She tells him he talks too much and thinks too little. Komiser, you may not understand me, but at least you could try a little. I thought we had an enchanted love, unlike any other. But the more I get to know you, the more I see things repeating over and over again and it hurts me.
Omer doesn’t let her get in her car, but he can’t find the words to continue. He steps away and Elif gets in the car. She drives away leaving Omer frustrated.
Fatih tells Pinar, give me the CD and then we’ll negotiate. She replies, if you’re going to tell your father, I won’t give it to you. Fatih grabs her by the throat—don’t make me crazy! The poor thing went down the wrong path. Do you want to die for that? Give me the CD, save your life. He lets go of her. She tells him where it is and he finds it.
And we are out.
Great summary, as always, Dondi! I love the Turkish! The story of Ipek is coming out. You can find out so much from the neighbors! Now we probably know who her son’s father is. That’s going to be a big challenge for Elmer! I wonder what caused her to marry her husband. She seems like a tragic figure.
More questions!
Glad you were able to get this published!
Babachita
Thanks Dondi! Fantastic as always!
Fatih is a disappointment at this point, is he really team Dad again? Daddy stole your kidney dude! Are you so enchanted by finally getting the last name that you've forgotten that?
It's kind of weird that the maid would go to Fatih though, right? How does he have the ear and loyalty of Tayyar's household staff when he wasn't even recognized until 10 mins ago?
I'm kind of intrigued by Ipek's story. Normally, I'd find her just the annoying interloper, but I like how they haven't given her a jealous, scheming or bitchy attitude like the other woman usually gets. I'm curious why she left Omer and married the other dude. Did she really always love Omer? Is it his kid? Will she sell out because her child was threatened?
I totally didn't get that the 'dr' from yesterday's episode was Cigdem's OB. I had forgotten what he looked like. Thanks for the reminder!!! And glad Arda is on to him!!
Thanks Babachita and Dondi. Excellent as always and you cleared up.some things for me. I can't tell if Elif hates the house or hates that Omer didn't get her input into choosing the house. It certainly is a big step down in comfort for her. Omer was sweet saying her face is what he wants to wake up to. Better than the bosphorus. I agree Ipek is an interesting character and why she didn't marry Omer is still a mystery. I agree, Darcy, it's a nice change for the other woman to actually be nice.
Today's recap will be up late afternoon or early evening. I had some things I needed to get done so I'm getting a late start this week.
Uploading now, I apologize in advance for any typos. I had to work quickly and didn't have as much time as usual for proofreading.
Pelo, Ipek and Arda talk about the new evidence against Fatih. Ipek thinks it’s too convenient, but Pelo says the evidence speaks for itself. She shows Fatih’s mug shot, he was in a jail cell during the murders of Sibel or Ahmet, he’s not the murderer. Ipek asks about the guy in custody. She wants to talk to him again about Serat but Arda doesn’t think it’s a good idea. Ipek says she’s lost her patience; she needs to find her son. Arda says, okay don’t worry, just leave it all to me. Not sure what he can do…
Mert is at a bus stop and texting Demet AGAIN. She hasn’t been responding, he’s sent her more than 10 messages, but he erases this one without sending and gets on the bus. Meanwhile, at Demet’s house it’s Melike that is reading Mert’s messages and when Demet enters the room, Melike demands to know who is sending her all these messages. Demet tells her it’s Mert, the son of Tayyar. They met him before, remember? He works for Elif too. Melike asks what Demet could be thinking, doesn’t she know that Uncle Omer hates Tayyar. Demet knows but Mert left his father and he’s not like him; he’s a good person. Melike briefly continues her warning that Mert won’t turn his back on daddy’s money for long but then she changes her tune and starts congratulating Demet on finding a rich boyfriend!! Smh. Melike advises Demet to ignore all Mert’s messages and phone calls, nothing makes a man crazier than being ignored. Mother and daughter giggle together but then Melike turns serious again and warns Demet that she better not let Mert touch her! This gab fest is interrupted by Nedret and her maid arriving. Melike isn’t happy to see her but runs into the other room anyway.
Fatima is there too, fun times! Elvan wants to take Nedret’s coat but she’s not staying. She just wants to have a short conversation with Elvan alone! Melike says she understands but then sits down and joins them! LOL Elvan has to tell her to go wash the laundry, she then has to tell Fatima to leave too. Finally alone, Nedret tells Elvan about Ipek’s son and the timing of his birth. The boy could be Omer’s! Elvan understands why Nedret is concerned right? Nedret said she was going to leave right after the conversation and she did. She took Elvan with her too! Straight to the police station to ask Ipek about the parentage of her child! Elvan is feeling uncomfortable with the idea of confronting Ipek, but Nedret says if she doesn’t, she’ll have to ask Elif about it. Elvan doesn’t want that so she heads inside.
Our fearless detectives are reviewing video when Elvan shows up. Omer is happy to see her but it’s an awkward visit considering it lasts all of two minutes! Ipek decides to go home and rest and Elvan immediately volunteers to go with her and get her home safely! Omer looks uncomfortable but says nothing.
Huso and Tayyar all at their meeting spot arguing about all the plan with Ipek didn’t work. Huso thinks all is lost but Tayyar is confident. He sent Ipek a little present and she’ll be in their hands soon enough. Mothers for capable of anything for their children.
Elvan is tucking Ipek into bed and looking for an opening. She notices the picture of Ipek with her son and it’s the perfect opportunity. Elvan first complements the handsome boy and then cautiously asks is it possible, he could be Omer’s, he kind of looks like him? Ipek says no but her face shows a little hesitation and uncertainty.
Fatih sends Nilu flowers with a card asking her to meet him that night. He calls and she tells him he shouldn’t send her flowers because she’s being watching and he could get caught. Fatih is happy with the idea that Nilu is worried about him. That start the ‘all you have in life is your girl and I can’t trust anyone but you’ conversation again, and Fatih tells Nilu about Pinar betraying Tayyar to help Omer. Nilu looks impacted but doesn’t say one way or another whether she will be showing up that night.
The present is left on Ipek’s doorstep and the doorbell rang. A card outside the box says ‘Your son says hello’. Ipek grabs the box and heads inside. She carefully opens the box and I was scared too but it’s only a sweater and not body parts, the sweater does have a blood stain though. We flash back to Ipek giving the sweater to her son on his birthday. There’s another card inside with a more direct threat. The boy is really upset and they can’t control him. What will happen if he has an accident? The card says she should test the blood if she doubts whose it is.
Omer, Pelo and Arda are still combing through evidence when they get a message from Emery. He found something but he won’t send it directly. He can’t trust just anyone, only them and Ipek. He wants them to meet him at the police station at 11. The video does mention that the footage is from a small gas station but gives no more details. Arda and Omer want to go right now but Pelo convinces them to follow Emery’s instructions. They have to be careful and protect Emery too, he asked for a specific time for a reason. Pelo sends a voice message to Ipek telling her to meet them at the police station at 11 and Ipek asks if the video was found. (The time on Ipek’s phone is 8:54) Pelo confirms and a reluctant but terrified Ipek calls Tayyar’s man and tells him she’ll give him the video if he gives her the boy. But he’s not getting anything until she gets her son! The guy agrees and says he’ll send her text with the time and place. Tayyar says job well done.
Nedret tells Elif she wants to tell her something about Ipek. She reminds her niece that she was going to investigate, but in the end, she tells her absolutely nothing except that something seems off and she’s going to get investigating and will tell her when she knows everything. Begging the question, what was the point of that? The answer is probably just to plant more doubts.
Fatih listens to the CD that Pinar had found, and it is indeed the copy of the conversation between Tayyar and Huso where Huso admits he killed Sibel! Fatih stops the CD and says bravo Tayyar, you’re always a step ahead.
Elif is sketching in her room and Nilu comes in. Nilu says she has to tell Elif something important, but Elif says she’s not in the mood, and if it’s about the business, they already discussed it. Nilu is offended and says she hates that Elif is so difficult, Nilu concludes she isn’t responsible for what happens to Elif! Elif tries to backtrack, but Nilu is offended, Elif should listen first before just deciding to ignore her sisters, she isn’t the only one who can solve problems!! Elif agrees and apologizes, she invites Nilu in to talk but Nilu isn’t in the mood now. She says too late, and runs off. Elif follows but Omer is at the door so she gives up quickly.
Elif is still standoffish with Omer but Omer is determined to win her over. He tells her that she isn’t just any love. She is his whole life! He doesn’t want to live without her love. Elif softens and smiles at him. She asks him what else he wants to say, she can see it in his big eyes. Omer tells her about Emery’s message they are going to learn more about Behar’s murder tonight at 11 and Omer is scared because he’s afraid Huso might be behind it. Elif asks if she can come with him and he says of course! She asks if Ipek will be there and it becomes a fight. Omer argues that Ipek is part of the team and the case, but Elif wonders if she can be trusted. How do they know she’s the same person as before? If Omer can’t trust his own brother, how can they trust her? Omer says they’ve been over and over this and he doesn’t want to fight. Elif backs down and Omer leaves to go back to work.
Nilu runs out to Omer before he gets to the car. She apologizes for not saying hello when he arrived and says she was dealing with personal stuff. She says she needs to talk to him in private about something really important. Omer wants to go get Elif but Nilu doesn’t want Elif involved. Omer agrees that they can talk.
Elif is leaving later that night and Mustafa stops her to update her on the comings and goings of Nilu. He lets her know Nilu was talking to Omer and they agreed to meet later that night, then Nilu left. Elif thinks that is strange and she asks Mustafa to bring around her car.
Omer is driving and she gets a call from Pinar. She’s leaving and calling to say goodbye. Something happened and she has to leave; she can’t stay with Tayyar anymore. Omer offers to come get her but she’s going to her mom’s house. She tells him about finding the conversation with Huso in Tayyar’s office, but she doesn’t know what was on the CD, she couldn’t listen to it. Fatih showed up and took it! Fatih promised not to tell Tayyar, but Pinar can’t risk it, she has to protect with baby! Omer tries to stop Pinar, telling her he can protect her but Pinar’s not listening, she says goodbye and hangs up! The maid comes out toward the end of the conversation but says nothing.
Tayyar is yelling at the maid and calling her inept because she just let Pinar leave. She cries and says she just thought Pinar was donating old clothes she didn’t realize she was leaving. Fatih arrives and says Pinar was smart. He gives Tayyar the CD and explains to him with Pinar’s plan was! Tayyar calls Pinar a traditor and says he’ll find her sooner or later; he’s impressed by Fatih’s loyalty and quick thinking. Fatih smiles, is he really lapping up daddy’s approval or is he scheming?
Omer and Nilu are walking and talking and Nilu is telling Omer that Fatih won’t stop contacting her. He tells her to change her number, don’t go out alone, etc. Nilu says she’s done all that and he doesn’t work! He’s a psychopath and he won’t stop. Omer says at least you recognize it but Nilu says stop judging me! You never fell for the wrong person? Nilu has an idea and she wants to talk about that. Fatih asked her to marry him and she’s going to say yes! She can find out who killed her father by getting close to Tayyar and Fatih. Omer doesn’t like this; it’s not Nilu’s job. She needs to stay away from them but Nilu’s not hearing it. After everything Fatih has done to her, turning her against her own family, it’s time for her to do something. She’s going to do this with or without Omer’s help!
Arda and Pelo are back at the ‘doctor’s’ office and Arda wants Pelo to hide and be a witness. Pelo is uncomfortable but she does it. The doctor is now taking orders from Arda so he doesn’t go to jail and Cigdem arrives, time for the show! Arda greets her warmly and pretends he’s happy to see her.
Ipek arrives at the station and calls Embrey, she tells him change of plans. The others had other things to do so it’s only going to be her meeting him tonight. Embrey says no problem; he’s on his way. Ipek is waiting…
Omer continues to argue with Nilu but she says she has no other choice, and she is his only option too; he can’t count on Pinar. Omer wants to know how she knows about that, and she says Fatih told her! He trusts her, he tells her everything! She is his weakness doesn’t Omer realize. Omer says Fatih is her weakness too and that’s the difference. Pinar hated Tayyar but Nilu is in love with Fatih! Nilu says she was blind before, but her eyes are open now and she doesn’t love him anymore. Omer thinks she’s just acting out of resentment, but Nilu insists her love is dead. Omer asks what happens when he wants to touch you, are you going to let him? He’s trying to get her to see the danger in her plan, but Nilu says that Nilufer is dead, he killed her, he took everything good from me and now I want him to suffer as I have.
Cigdem is getting her fake ultrasound and Arda has it rigged to show twins, no triplets, quad, or there’s five kids in there!! Cigdem is confused at first, but she soon realizes the jig is up! Arda tells her to get out before he has her arrested along with her friend! Cigdem says she only did this because she loves him, but he says she did it to break up him and Pelo, but it won’t work. Cigdem runs out and the fake doctor follows. Arda opens the screen that Pelo was standing behind and her smile is filled with joy. Hello again, love; he says.
Elif is arriving at the police station!! Embrey comes and Ipek takes the file, he asks if she is going to watch now but she says no, she’ll watch later when everyone else is available. She tells him that he can leave since no one else is coming. Elif overheard this all and she hides so she isn’t seen. Embrey leaves and Elif follows Ipek out of the station. Ipek calls and says everything’s ready, I have the evidence. Not sure if Elif could have heard that or not, but she definitely sees Ipek get into the shady looking black van!
Thanks Darcy. My favorite scene was with the fake Dr and the twins, triplets.....
Hope nilu stays strong in her hate for Faith. I'm not sure if he is playing a deep game or really is on his father's side.
Great summary, Darcy! I agree with Kat! That scene of the ultrasound showing increasing mutiple births was really funny! I’m not sure I recall seeing it before! Definitely an entertaining scene.
I worry if Nilufer marries Fatih that he will gain control over her, perhaps even legally. I do sometimes hope these star-crossed lovers might find a way, but he seems too badly damaged by his past, always making bad choices.
I worry for Pinar and for Ipek.
Can Elif stay strong?
