Daytime TNs... Y mas (#2), Week of March 23, 2026
Welcome to page 2 of Daytime TNs! This page is to give those who are watching daytime TNs on any channel a place to discuss the TNs aired prior to 7Pm. If you would like to contribute a recap of just some highlights for a daytime TN, I’m sure there are those who watch the same TNs that would appreciate it.
11-12 PM: Luz Clarita (Unimas)
1-2 PM: Lo que La Via Mi Robo (Univision)
12-1 PM Canaveral de Pasiones (Unimas)
1-3 PM Medicos Linea de Vida (Unimas)
3-4 PM: Sobrevivir a Ti (Unimas)
4-5 PM: Sueno de Amor (Unimas)
5-6 PM: Miss XV
Kara Para Ask - YouTube
** Note for anyone who hasn't seen Medicos and has Unimas and the inclination to watch, I recommend it! It was previously recapped here on Caray and it has perhaps the most swoon worthy galan I've seen in many years! Not talking about his looks either (though he's handsome) but rather the quality of his character. In a day and age where too many galans are too flawed and unlikeable, this one was gold!
Labels: daytime, unimas, Univision
The schedule for this weekend is the following. I think you want to not do one on Easter weekend, Kat. Does anyone else want to skip next weekend? Just let me know by this time next week.

Kara Para Ask – Black Money Love – Amor de Contrabando – Amor y Dinero Negro
Episode 108 #1
At Arda’s, Omer makes a call. Arda answers but has no news about Husseyn.
Huso is sitting by the water and gets a call from Omer. He doesn’t answer and looks overcome with grief as he drinks what looks like raki, lots of raki.
At Elvan’s, Melike is looking at their wedding picture and then hurls the frame to the floor where it breaks. She gets a call from Omer looking for Huso. She says she hopes he’s dead. Omer asks what happened. She tells him she found her, meaning Svetlana. She asks if he knew about her. She tells him it’s OK because it’s his brother. Omer tells her he didn’t know how to tell her.
At the police station, Arda strides in, telling a uniformed cop to let him know as soon as Husseyn arrives. He gets a call from Omer telling him to drop everything and go there to look after Yaz so Omer can look for Huso. Arda tells him it’s impossible because the board is there, and they are looking at everything. Omer asks where Ipek is. Arda doesn’t know. Omer tells him OK and they’ll talk later.
Ipek is meeting with a judge at a restaurant. Ipek apologizes for bothering her, but the judge says she isn’t bothered. Ipek tells her she knows how the judge handled murdered women in Bursa and that’s why she contacted her. The judge asks if someone close to Ipek is in trouble. Ipek tells her she herself is in trouble: My ex-husband is threatening to kill me.
The judge is surprised. Ipek tells her it’s not the first time, but that he didn’t succeed previously. The judge asks if her superintendent knows about this. Ipek tells her she’s hidden everything from everyone for years. The judge tells her she could have asked for help. Ipek tells her that she didn’t want anyone to know about her child. She tried to stay away from her ex. But he is trying to separate her from her son. She asks for help. The judge reassures her that they will handle it.
At the Denizer mansion, Asli and Levent are talking in the living room. Asli invites him to a new jazz event in Galata. Levent tells her he doesn’t like going out at nighttime. Asli tells him she doesn’t either. She knows he is athletic and she suggests going for a run sometime. Levent agrees to this. Elif walks in saying she was looking for Levent. Asli hopes she can tell them what’s going on in the company. Suddenly, Can comes in, asking how Asli could “hide this from me?” Asli asks what he is talking about. Can says his father got married. Asli: What?
Can: I hate the both of you. This is awful! Can runs out of the room. Asli runs after him.
Levent says this is probably the wrong time, but Elif tells him he must be used to the drama around there by now and to go ahead and talk. Elif and he sit down. Elif asks about the Foundation. Levent tells her he was worried for her. He called but she didn’t answer. That’s why he is there. Elif tells him she didn’t hear her phone. She had gone to talk with Fatma, Sibel’s mom. Levent asks what she told her. Elif tells him the Foundation probably paid for her to be in London, but that Fatma refused to talk about any of it. She lied throughout the conversation, but Elif thinks Fatma can tell she doesn’t believe her.
We see Hatice studying in London looking very subdued. Fatma calls her and tells her how much she misses her. Fatma asks how she is doing. Hatice tells her she is studying hard because exams are getting close. Fatma tells her that her voice sounds weird. She asks if she has a problem. Hatice says it’s just that she misses her. Fatma tells her that if things are going wrong, she should just return home and that she would do something to let her finish her education.

Episode 108 #2
Hatice promises not to leave Fatma wondering and to let her know if anything happens. Hatice looks muy impactada, reaching out to touch a picture of her mother and Sibel. There is a knock at the door. She doesn’t look surprised and goes to answer. It must be one of Tayyar’s henchies. He brings a black bag full of money. He tells her Tayyar thanks her for the good job she did. He says Tayyar tells her not to worry and that he is getting a house for her mother. Hatice tells him to thank him, please. Henchie leaves and Hatice closes the door and looks at the bag of money.
At the Demir mansion, Tayyar gets into his fancy van. He asks who “the beautiful bride” is visiting. This henchie tells him they have no news yet, but they are keeping tabs. Tayyar seems somewhat satisfied. He wants to know anyone she calls.
As if on cue, inside the mansion, Nilufer is looking at her phone and dials Omer. Omer is trying to cook pasta and drops half of it out of the colander. His phone rings, and Yaz tells him he hears a buzzing noise. Omer tells him it’s probably his phone.
The van henchie tells Tayyar it’s Nilufer, making a call. Tayyar tells him to turn up the volume.
Nilufer: I really need your help. I can’t seem to find the CD. I can’t find the password to Tayyar’s vault. Can you think of anything?
Omer: Listen, Nilufer, I told you from the beginning it’s too dangerous. Give it up now.
Nilufer: Omer, I’m not giving up,
Omer: Nilufer, just listen to me, forget it!
Omer hangs up.
Tayyar adjust his collar as he listens to this. He seems to be trying to make a decision.
At the Denizer mansion, Levent tells Elif not to worry. He will call a meeting of the board of directors and she should ask for help from Ms. Nedret. He tells her they can prepare a public meeting to get Tayyar on edge: It’s good to force some stuff on him.
Elif: It’s a great idea. He’s always forcing things on others.
Levent smiles and tells her he will call her. Nedret is coming down the stairs. She can see that Levent is very affected by this close contact with Elif. Nedret praises Levent, telling Elif how noble he is and handsome. Elif nods and says he also works hard. Nedret asks about Levent: who he is, where is he from, does he have kids, is he married? Elif says he isn’t married and that she doesn’t know much about him. He is trustworthy, punctual, and has good ideas. Nedret says it’s hard to find someone like him these days. Nedret asks Elif if she was mad at her that day, when everything came out. She wants to know if she talked to Omer about Yaz yet. Elif says they haven’t had a chance to. Nedret tells her she needs to, sooner not later. Nedret offers to take a look at some paperwork.
At the police station, two cops walk Serhat into a room. Serhat, with great bravado, tells them they haven’t got a clue who he is, since they made him wait two hours for a phone call. The policeman, unfazed, tells him he has five minutes. He calls…Tayyar! He tells him he has a way they can compromise, if Tayyar will agree. He threatens him with major problems if he doesn’t compromise. Tayyar gets furious and tells him to slow down.
Tayyar: Who are you to offer a compromise? Know your place, man!
Serhat: I know my place. That’s why I called you. I could have called Omer. Husseyn and Mert visited the hospital today. I recognized his voice and figure he’s your guy. Didn’t you know I’d figure this all out?
Tayyar: What are you implying now?
Serhat: Omer keeps asking about my relationship with you. If he knew about his brother, he’d crack the case before you could blink.
Tayyar: Are you threatening me?
Serhat: I’m just bargaining. If you don’t help me, I’ll tell them everything. Listen. Pick up that phone and make the call. Call the big guys and tell them to get me out of here. Or else!
Tayyar hangs up.
Elif is driving. She calls Arda and tells him she can’t reach Omer. She saw him in the morning, but they didn’t have time to talk. She asks him if he knows where he might be.

Episode 108 #3
Tayyar and Fatih walk into the office. Fatih wonders what’s up, it must be important. Tayyar tells him he didn’t want to bring him into this sort of thing. But he needs quick and certain results. He tells him it should be like the other project that he finished clean. Tayyar tells him there’s no one he can trust except Fatih.
Fatih: And who do you want to get rid of?
Tayyar: Serhat. I need him dead tonight, OK?
Fatih: That’s strange. Weren’t you working with the psychopath?
Tayyar: No questions. Just do it.
Fatih: Noooo. I will not be ordered around by Tayyar Dundar anymore. I’m done with that. I’m not some kind of idiot soldier. The general is standing before you. So, you and I are going to discuss tactics. Tell me why you want to get rid of that psychopath and I’ll help you. You’re going to have to let me in.
Tayyar: I’m telling you, it’s Husseyn. His water is boiling over.
Fatih: Boy, oh boy, what a guy! How many people have we killed just to save his neck?
Ipek is walking to Arda’s house, closely followed by some of Tayyar’s henchies in a car. She lets herself in and sees Omer asleep on the couch with Yaz. There is a program playing on the television that shows a father and son. She walks over to the sleeping Omer and Yaz and looks at them tenderly.
Fatih strides into the living area while he is on the phone, telling his people to get the job done. Tayyar is waiting for him. Fatih tells him the arrangement’s been made for the morning, while Tayyar is attending the funeral. Tayyar praises Fatih. He missed working with him. He is glad he is motivated now.
Fatih: If there’s nothing else, I’d like to take my wife out. I’m going to give her my wedding gift now.
Tayyar: I wanted to talk to you, son. Sit down. What do you think about Nilufer, son? Do you think she’s sincere?
Fatih: What do you mean, sincere?
Tayyar: I just want to warn you, son. Keep in mind she’s also a Denizer. Those girls are loose cannons, you know. You can’t trust a thing they do, or say, for that matter.
Fatih: Look, whatever she does, she’ll tell me. Don’t ever try to confuse me about my wife because that’s not right.
Fatih stands up, glaring at Tayyar.
Nilufer comes in, dressed elegantly for dinner.
Tayyar wishes them a good evening. Fatih gives his father a look. Nilufer thanks Tayyar very much and wishes him a good evening.
Outside, Fatih gives Nilufer the keys to her new vehicle. She tells him there was no need. He tells her his wife deserves all the beauty in the world. He tells her it arrived late because they had no white ones and had to import it. Nilufer is very grateful.
Fatih: I feel like you are stopping yourself from doing some of the things you want out of kindness. It’s like you’re not telling me something.
She gets in the driver seat after warning Fatih she’s a fast driver. She realizes she hadn’t seen the license plate. He shows her the registration. She sees that she has a special plate. She recalls that her father had special plates; the cars would change but not the numbers. She asks if Tayyar’s do that. Does he have favorite numbers that he uses, dates or something?
Fatih tells her Tayyar doesn’t do those things. He tells her to drive and test the car.
At Arda’s, Ipek covers Omer and Yaz, still sleeping on the couch. She lingers close to Omer’s face and looks at him seriously. She reaches out and strokes his forehead.

Episode 108 #4
FLASHBACK: Ipek: Omer, even if we don’t see each other, don’t be a stranger, OK? I think the most painful thing about a breakup is that it deletes all the memories of a relationship. You love and work to make each other happy. What happens to those emotions when you break up?
Omer: Where is this coming from? We’re going to get married and you’re talking about breakups?
Ipek: Beautiful things always end, Omer. You were too good to be true.
Ipek reaches out again, just as Elif walks up to the door. She sees Ipek touching Omer and backs up but looks again. Omer wakes up and looks at Ipek. She backs up. He asks when she got there. She tells him she covered him up so as not to wake him. He sees Elif and runs after her. Ipek realizes that Elif saw her with Omer.
Omer: Elif, stop! Can’t you hear me?
Elif, obviously upset: I don’t want to listen, don’t want to talk. I just want to leave. It’s not good for me to stay for either of us.
Omer: Don’t go. Please don’t leave me. I can’t live without you. I can’t live without hearing your voice, seeing your eyes. I’ve waited all day for this, Elif.
Elif: That’s not true at all. You didn’t call me all day. What was I going to do, Omer? Just go home and sit there waiting for you?
Omer: You’re right. I’m so tired, confused about Husseyn. I’ve tried to reach him all day, but he keeps avoiding me. Meanwhile I had the kid to deal with. What should I have done?
Elif: So, I am last in line.
Omer looks away, in pain: Elif, don’t say that. You know I haven’t slept for days. I fell asleep in front of the tv.
Elif: Yes, sleeping, cuddling with Yaz, with your ex watching you. I woke you up. You know what, Omer, I’m sorry for everything.
Omer: What do you mean by that?
Elif struggles to speak: Ipek, she’s still in love with you, Omer. That’s what I mean.
Omer looks at her in disbelief: That’s not true.
Elif: I saw it all. The way she was looking at you. You may not realize it, but it’s unmistakable. I can see it. She loves you.
Omer: You’ve got it all wrong. Ipek only thinks of her son and that insane ex of hers.
Elif: Maybe she thinks of her son and you. Omer, I need to ask you. Could that boy be your son?
Omer stares at her.
Fatih and Nilufer are dancing in a fancy location. She asks him to slow down because it’s very difficult. Fatih tells her it’s not that hard and just to follow his feet.
Nilufer: Yes, not hard for you. You learned it from your Argentinian lover.
Fatih: How did you know she was my lover?
Nilufer: A woman knows and can sense these things. If she is jealous, then she might get revenge.
Fatih tells her she is cute. Nilufer tells him she’s warned him. He says now she is jealous, what will he do with her! Nilufer grins. He wonders if he should get her drunk instead. She again asks him to slow down.
Fatih: Forget everything else. Let those who watch us see how we dance and how much in love we are.
He dips her and looks deeply into her eyes, asking that their eyes connect, beautiful. He tells her not to look away, and nothing can ever go wrong.
Bystanders are watching them.

Episode 108 #5
At Arda’s, Ipek lays Yaz to sleep in his bed. She kisses and covers him.
Outside, Omer and Elif are still talking.
Omer: Hold on a minute, here, that kid is the problem? You’re jealous of an innocent kid being pulled around by his folks? Come on, Elif! Seriously, is that what you’re saying?
Elif: Omer, it’s not just the kid.
Omer: Don’t you get that I’m marrying you in a couple of days? You’re the love of my life and I would die for you. Now, why won’t you believe me? How could you even ask something like that?
Elif struggles to speak: Because I want to know the answer. Yes, it’s probably nonsense and something my aunt made up in her spare time. I try not to think badly of you, Omer, but when you suddenly disappear, or you appear with Ipek, or you’re in the middle of a problem concerning her. And whenever I call, she seems to be with you. What do you expect me to think?
Omer puts his hands on her shoulders: Elif, look, I’ve told you before, Ipek won’t come between us. I’ve told you a million times.
Elif: I’m tired. I just don’t want to fight any more with you now. I don’t know how to deal with this.
A car drives up and two henchies get out. Suddenly Omer sees them. He says that Ipek is in trouble and runs after them.
Elif, tired, watches then looks to follow him.
The henchies break into the front door with guns drawn. Ipek is bloody but fights back and then Omer comes in (our hero!) and shoots them both. One of them tries to attack Omer again. He tells him to extend his arms. He asks who he is and put on the cuffs. The other one pulls out a blade and goes to stab Omer when Elif hits him with a shovel.
Omer tells her to go to Yaz. She holds Yaz, who wants his mom.
Ipek has still not moved.
Husseyn is still on the waterfront drinking with his buddies. His friend, Yusuf, tells him he has had enough. He has drunk two bottles. Yusuf tells him he’ll get him a cab so he can go home and rest. Husseyn rejects him, telling him it’s none of his business how much he drinks. Is he counting his meals too? Husseyn’s voice is unpleasant. Husseyn shoves him and tells him to get out of his sight. The other guys intervene. Husseyn tells them to leave him alone and he staggers away. He walks into traffic and is almost hit by a car. He has his wild-eyed look as he stand there. He walks down the side of the road.
FLASHBACK: Huso: Did you send me to kill my brother’s fiancée?
Tayyar: Omer Demir suspects his brother.
Omer to Huso: Announce my intentions to whoever you want, I don’t want anyone attacking me.
He sees the scene where he kills Sibel in the cabin.
He laments this to Tayyar, who reassures him they know nothing about him killing Sibel.
Omer tells him he will find whoever did this to Sibel.
He keeps hearing these bits of dialogue in his drunken condition.
Huso walks into the street, facing an oncoming car, and is hit. He lies, bleeding on the pavement and his eyes slowly close. Autumn leaves fall around him.
In the Dundar mansion, Tayyar is checking the contents of his safe, looking through several CDs. He stops at the one marked “Husseyn Demir.”

Episode 108 #6
Nilufer and Fatih are walking home, arm in arm, and Fatih wants to dance in the street. They are very affectionate. She rebuffs him: Right here, in the middle of the street?
Fatih: Aren’t we the adrenaline loving couple?
Nilufer dances a few steps and then walks away. He pulls her back: Nilufer, listen to me. I won’t let go of your hand until I die. I won’t stop looking at your eyes.
He reaches in for a kiss, but she walks away. They reach her new car.
Fatih: I am so close to you, but I can’t touch you. You drive me mad.
Fatih finally gets his kiss. Nilufer pulls away quickly. Fatih tells her not to leave him in limbo. Fatih: Either send me off to hell or let me into heaven.
He asks if she doesn’t love him anymore?
Nilufer pushes him back: I love you even though you get mad and you lie and make mistakes. I love you so much I can’t get you out of my heart. I can’t say no to you or leave. I love you so much I knowingly will risk death. Don’t ask me that again, please! We’ve already been through so much.
Fatih kisses her passionately, and she responds. He opens the rear door and eases her into the back seat. He tells her not to talk when she asks what he is doing. The windows get very foggy!

Howdy from the Alamo City, CarayCaray Family. Today's the Gran Final of this chaotic daytime Telenovela; I'll be watching & offering my personal thoughts sometime this afternoon!
Thank you Babachita!!!
Nilu is playing with fire! She's clearly still in love with Fatih while trying to keep her feelings in check and work to bring down Tayyar. Too bad she's already caught and doesn't know it!
Was Huso targeted by Tayyar? Or was that a random car hitting him cuz he was drunk in the middle of the street? Can't wait to find out!!!
Thanks, Babachita!
I've already seen this dizi but I'm getting nervous all over again. That's how good it is.
The walls are closing in on Huseyin. And Nilufer is playing a very dangerous game.
I really feel sorry for Ipek. She's a good person. Life is pulling her in all directions. Little Yagiz is so cute with Omer.
Nedret is despicable. Her nieces should know.
#109 part 1
Arda carries Ipek into thel ER, followed by Omer and Elif. Ipek is barely conscious, but she asks about her son. Arda tells her he’s okay. Medical staff take Ipek for examination and an ambulance arrives with another patient. It’s Huseyin and he’s in bad shape. Head trauma, weak pulse. He’s wheeled past Omer, Elif, and Arda. Omer stands there in shock.
Serhat nervously paces in his cell. Two inmates are watching him. Serhat calls for the guard and asks if there was a phone call for him. The guard knows nothing. One of the “watchers” bumps into Serhat as he starts pacing again. He says, watch where you’re walking. A fight starts. The other “watcher” pulls a shiv out of his bunk and stabs Serhat in the back. Another inmate helps to hold Serhat and Serhat is stabbed in the gut.
Omer, Elif, and Arda rush to Huseyin and watch at the door. They hear a doctor say that Huso had to be resuscitated on the way. Now he has no pulse. They start CPR. They shock Huso. They shock him again. Nothing.
Omer flashback. Young Omer and Huso are at their father’s burial. Omer asks his bro, why do people die? I don’t know, Huso replies, they just die. Father says that every person dies when their time comes. Omer hugs Huso, will you die like my father? I won’t die, Omer, he says, I won’t die until you grow up and become a big man. Don’t be afraid that you’re an orphan, I’m here for you now. I’m your brother, your father, and your friend.
Back to the present. Omer has tears in his eyes. It looks like the docs are going to call it. Omer steps through the door—please don’t stop! Keep going! Please. Brother, please don’t die! Don’t give up! Elif holds him back and says it will be alright. The docs try a couple more shocks and that does the trick. Omer hugs Elif and cries.
Elvan and Melike show up at the hospital. Elvan shouts to Omer—my son! Where is my Huseyin? Omer hugs his mom. He’s fine, he’ll recover, don’t worry. Thank God, Elvan exclaims, He gave my son back to me. Let me see him, just for a moment. Elif says it’s not possible right now.
Melike asks, Huseyin will be okay, right? Omer answers, don’t worry, he won’t leave us. I cursed him, she cries, he hurt me so much that I wanted something bad to happen to him. May God forgive me. Let nothing happen to Huseyin. Omer hugs her. We see Svetlana watching them through the glass door to the ER.
Nedret and Asli come to the hospital. They are greeted by Pelin. She tells them that the docs are treating Huso and he will be fine, inshallah. Pelin points to where the others are. Nedret spots Ipek being wheeled in a chair. Isn’t that Ipek? Pelo nods. What is she doing here? Pelo explains there are problems with her ex. Some men tried to kill her. He wanted to take the boy. Thank God he didn’t succeed.
Nedret is horrified. Did they arrest the men? Pelo says it’s a good thing Omer was there. He caught them and turned them in. Nedret seems surprised, really? Omer was there? Nedret and Asli don’t look pleased.
Omer sneaks into Huseyin’s room. He sits by his bed and puts his hand on his. Abi, I thought you were going to leave us. Even though my anger towards you rages like a storm inside me, I’m not ready for you to go yet. He leans in, it’s not your time, Huseyin Demir.
#109 part 2
Let me tell you something, Omer says. All my life I have admired you. I was the luckiest man in the world because you were my brother, Huseyin Demir. He was a good man. What happened? I don’t know your motives. I don’t know why you made so many mistakes. Maybe I caused some of them. I remember when dad died, our uncles said Mom couldn’t take care of us alone. They wanted her to get married but you stood up to them. You said, “I’m here”. And you were always there. You never left us. I’m so sorry brother. While I was happy, you were alone. You were always with me. Maybe I couldn’t help you with the weight you carried on your shoulders and that’s why you got into trouble. How I wish I knew.
Omer places his hand on his brother again. Huseyin, talk to me. (See Elif at the door) Wake up. You sustained our lives. Come back, now it’s my turn. It’s time to start everything anew, to set things on the right path. I’m ready. Elif is emotional listening to this.
Nilufer and Fatih are watching a movie. They are trying to guess who the killer is. Tayyar enters the room. Come join us, Fatih says, let’s see if you can guess who the killer is. I’ll pass on this, Tayyar replies, I’m too old to watch these types of movies. I’d better go to sleep. Good night.
Nilu gets a call from Elif. She wonders why Elif is calling at this hour. It’s not for something nice, is it? Are you going to scold me? Elif is very emotional. Nilu… I love you so much, even though I’m angry at you right now. You’ll always be my little sister, she cries. I wanted you to know. Never forget it. Nilu replies, okay, I love you, too. They hang up. Fatih asks Nilu, what did she say? Nothing, Nilu answers. But she’s teary.
Omer and Elif wait at the window of the ICU. Omer is worried for his brother. Elif says, don’t lose faith.
Tayyar gets a report, Huseyin didn’t die. Tayyar notes that luck hasn’t been on his side lately. But we have to wait, maybe we will be surprised. The best thing that could happen is for him to die. Our biggest problem would be solved.
Fatih and Nilu come to breakfast. Fatih tells his dad that he’s going to work at the hospital today. He hurries off to take an early meeting. Tayyar tells Nilu, when I look at you two, I see myself with Mert’s mother. She was the only woman I ever loved in my life. Nilu thinks about that.
Omer is waiting in Huseyin’s room. Huso starts to wake up. Brother, can you hear me? Huso just stares ahead. Omer rushes to inform the medical staff.
Nilu calls Mert. He’s with Demet. (Where are they? I don’t remember) Don’t hang up, she asks. Listen, your father’s safe, maybe the password is your mother’s birthday or the date they married. Can you tell me? Mert tells her that Tayyar is suspicious of her. Nilu is alarmed but she replies, don’t worry, just tell me the dates. Mert says the birthday is Feb 27 and they married on Jan 5. Be careful, he warns.
The doctor examines Huseyin. Melike starts crying. Omer and Elif comfort her. Elif asks if she wants to go out for some air. No, Melike cries, I won’t go anywhere until the doctor comes out and says Huseyin is fine. He hurt me, but I can’t hurt him.
The doc comes out and says, geçmiş olsun, your patient’s condition is very good. We will monitor him for a while longer and then we will move him to a regular room. Omer and Elif are joyful. Melike starts crying harder. She thanks God for saving Huso. Elif takes Melike to the restroom to wash her face, and Omer goes to the ICU window.
#109 part 3
Ipek is doing well. She wants to go home to her son. The nurse says the doctor will come soon. Nedret comes to see Ipek. I was worried about you. Pelin told me what happened. I can’t believe this happened. How does a man who’s in jail send thugs to hurt you. That psycho wanted to leave his son without a mother. Poor child doesn’t deserve a father like that. [right… he deserves Omer.]
Nedret goes on and on. You have to be a mother, you have to work, and now you have to worry about a madman. Who could stand that? This world is too dangerous for women. There are many who end up dead. God protect us. Ipek has heard enough. She replies, excuse me, but I’d like to rest. Of course, Nedret says, I just wanted to know if you were ok.
Nedret turns back before she leaves. Ipek, I suppose you know that many believe Omer is the father of your child. It’s a very logical idea, don’t you think? Ipek sits up—what do you mean? I don’t think there’s much to explain, Nedret replies, I also thought so, too. So much that I investigated it myself. Yagiz was born 2 months early. Even your ex had doubts. It was his right. But I already found out that luckily, he is the father.
What gives you the right to talk to me about this, Ipek asks. Don’t you think it’s none of your business? I didn’t come here intending to upset you, Nedret says. Don’t worry, Ipek answers, now could you please go? I appreciate you coming to see me. Ipek turns her head away. Nedret turns it back. You found Omer after so long. Do you feel guilty about something? Maybe about having abandoned him because that way you would have given your child a better father? Don’t you ask yourself why, why, why did I marry that sick man? There is still a way out, you can do something about it.
Ipek asks, what are you saying? It’s simple, Nedret replies, just say that Yagiz is Omer’s son. Everyone will believe it. You can count on me. Elif and Omer will believe you because I will do everything in my power. You’ll be with the man you’ve always loved, and your son will be able to call a decent man, “father”. What do you say? We don’t hear Ipek’s answer yet.
Omer sits at Huseyin’s bedside. He says, mom is coming, Elif and Melike went out for air, they will be back soon. Huso thanks him. Omer gets up to leave but Huso calls him back. I wanted to die, he says, I saw the car, I didn’t move. Omer asks why. I don’t deserve to live, Huso answers, I don’t deserve to be Omer Demir’s brother. Ask me, brother, I know you have questions. Once doubt enters a man’s heart, it destroys him, doesn’t it?
Nilu sneaks into Tayyar’s office. She tries one of the dates Mert gave her. No luck. She tries the other and—bingo! She finds the Huseyin Demir CD.
Omer is speechless. Why are you silent, Huso asks, ask me, come on. Ask whatever is on your mind. Omer replies, I’ll ask, but before I do, I want to listen to you. I want to hear your “what ifs”, your “should haves”, your “whys”. I want you to pour out your heart. I don’t want to interrogate you, I just want to understand. Maybe I could help you. This is our first and last chance, abi. A chance to have a new beginning. We can embrace each other better than before. Tell me without lies or deception. Tell me everything.
Elif is watching them through the window. Huso nods. He asks, what will happen if I don’t speak? Omer replies, if you don’t tell me, I’ll become an enemy of the man I love the most, the man I call my father. Abi, this is our first and last chance. Huso says he’s willing to face the consequences. Elif walks away from the window, she’s upset.
#109 part 4
Huseyin tries to sit up. He’s in pain. He says, you know how they say nothing will happen to the bad guys? Omer replies, if you want to talk later… Huso click his tongue. We’ll talk now, while I have the courage. You said we only have this chance. If I don’t say it now, I’ll take it to my grave. It started when I met Svetlana. Her boss tried to rape her. In desperation, she killed him to defend herself. I was on duty and went to the scene. Witnesses saw her next to the body, but when we arrived, she was gone. I looked for her and found her. She was dying from fear… desperate, broken. If she had been convicted, she would still be in jail. I couldn’t allow it. She was the victim. The fragility in her eyes attracted me. I told myself, “let the good guys win for once”. So I closed the case as an unsolved murder.
This is hard for Omer to hear. Huso continues, they discovered this and threatened me. If I didn’t do what they asked, they would destroy me. Omer asks, who found you? Tayyar Dundar? Huso’s eyes widen. We don’t get an immediate answer.
Nedret is still working on Ipek. Admit it, your ex is a psycho that no one will be able to stop him. The only one who can protect you and your son is Omer. Ipek is incredulous, what kind of person are you? You are asking me to destroy Omer and Elif’s relationship. She’s your niece. How could you ask me this? I hope she never finds out about your intentions. It won’t happen, Nedret replies, if you act smart, she won’t have a way to find out. And if you tell her, she won’t believe you. No one will believe you.
Ipek puts her shoes on. A doctor comes in. Is there a problem? Ipek grabs her belongings and says, I have to leave right now. My son is waiting for me. She heads for the door. The doc says wait, I have to discharge you.
Back to the brothers. Omer asks, you say you never spoke to Tayyar Dundar and you have no relationship with him? Huso explains, well, I never knew who was behind everything. Omer presses, what do you mean? It’s impossible that you don’t know who you work for. I don’t know, seriously, Huso answers, Ali tells me what I have to do.
Omer shouts—and who do you think Ali is? He’s Tayyar’s inside man! You worked for him all this time! Brother, please, don’t do this to me. Tell me everything you know, who you’re working for. What kind of things you had to do for them. Huso says he eliminated evidence and closed a couple of cases. That’s it. I don’t know Tayyar. Omer looks very troubled.
Huso wants his bro to believe him, but he understands. Son, go ahead, tell me I’m guilty. Don’t hesitate. There’s no pillow as soft as conscience. A man can’t wallow in filth if it’s not in his nature. I know. But I did everything for my family, especially for my children. It wasn’t easy having two lives at the same time.
Omer doesn’t think so. I saw your bank account, and you even bought a house, he says. I don’t know what you did but it must have been big to earn so much money. Huso claims the money was an inheritance from Svetlana’s father, it has nothing to do with this matter. Omer shouts again—enough! What are you saying? Do you think I’m an idiot? If that was the case, why did she come here and work in a pavilion?
I can explain, Huso says. I swear on my three children that I’m not hiding anything. [how low can you go?] Do you think I’m a criminal? Do you think I have no honor? [yes to both.] I told you everything. I didn’t do anything else [he left out: except murder a few people.] Omer jumps from his chair—how do you expect me to believe all this? You were bribed! You falsified documents! You abused your position as a police officer! What was left? Killing someone?
And we are out!
Thanks, Dondi! Fantastic as always! :)
I think Mert and Demet were in the hospital waiting room. It looked like one and Demet looked like she was crying. They were probably waiting out in the lobby while Omer and Melike were back by Huso's room!
Why does everyone tell Nedret everything? Pelo just spills the tea on Ipek's personal business like it's nothing. And, Nedret and Asli go from appropriately horrified that someone attempted to murder Ipek to concerned about whether or not Omer was with her prior to the attack in 2 seconds!!! Who stops to think about that right after they hear someone was nearly killed?
I hope Ipek doesn't take the bait and try to come between Omer and Elif. I know she still has feelings for him but it's such a nice change of pace to have the ex not be shrewish - don't ruin it!!!
Huso is deplorable...
I’m catching up now from what I missed. I’m sure I saw these way back when I first saw this, but I don’t seem to remember much. So, it’s like seeing some of this for the first time. I’m glad Huso’s lies are finally exposed. But, he seems without shame. He swears on his 3 children, but it seems to me he shouldn’t get to swear on all those kids! What a jerk. And Nedret is awful. I like Ipek and hope she stays likable.
There’s too much time for things to be winding up, so things are likely to get worse.
Thank you for the great summary, Dondi!
Babachita
Thanks Babachita and Dondi. Excellent recaps by you both. I still don't get everything (like Hussein buying Svetlana a house, I assumed it was a rented apartment), so the recaps help. The only downside is I know how well you will flush it out I don't pay as much attention as I should. I notice a lot of things wrong in the CCS so I guess I'm getting better at hearing the words spoken.
I've watched my episode so I will be able to recap earlier tonight. I'll rewatch it to get the things that happened in order. I'm watching ahead now as it was a bit of a cliffhanger!
Omer is yelling at Huso, he can’t believe he’s done this! He looks at his brother, ‘they bribed you; you forged these documents; you abused your position as a police officer. What was left for you to do? Kill someone? Maybe you know this already — those are crimes, and you’ll go to prison!’ Huso says prison is nothing compared to seeing Omer look at him like that. It hurts more than anything. Huso wants to help Omer, they can be allies. Huso can be the bait. Omer isn’t impressed. Those people are awful, they killed Sibel, they killed Elif’s father, and they also tried to kill Arda. Huso knows the pain they caused and he knew everything that was happening from the beginning, but what did he choose to do? He hid it. He chose whose side he wanted to be on. Huso insists he was forced and threatened. He points out he wasn’t the only one in this position, even Elif laundered money and Omer forgave her! But Omer retorts that Elif was alone and scared, she had no one. Huso had Omer!!! He could have come to HIM! Huso says Omer is the most honest and good man that he knows, how could he have faced him? Omer is still not impressed, Huso taught him to be honest and everything that he is he learned from Huso. And now it’s Omer’s fault that he became what Huso taught him to be? Does he deserve that? All your words were empty, Hussein, he concludes.
Hasan and Demet interrupt this love fest, running in and asking how dad is feeling. Omer walks out and finds Elif and Pelo worrying about what could be happening in the room. One look at Omer storming out tells the story but Elif’s calling out to Omer has an effect. He comes back and tells Pelo to make sure Huso is followed and someone is watching every step he makes. Pelo agrees and Omer grabs Elif’s hand, they walk away together.
Tayyar’s henchmen are out by Nilu’s new truck and waxing it by the looks of it. Tayyar approaches and greets them. He wants to make sure everything is ready and no one will suspect anything. The henchie assures him it’s impossible. It’s a brand-new car and it will look like an accident. Everyone will think it was a manufacturing problem! Tayyar is very pleased and informs his man to let her deliver the disc first but then do the job! In the precise moment and the precise place, he must do this well because Tayyar doesn’t want his beloved daughter-in-law to survive this accident.
Omer walks outside the hospital and hits the wall. Elif asks him to calm down. He’s scaring her! She asks him to tell her what happened but Omer doesn’t even know where to begin.
Melike is actually tending to Huso for some reason but he’s not grateful of course. He asks if Omer went to the station but Melike doesn’t know. He wants to know where his phone is and before Melike can answer Hasan assures dad that the nurse gave it to mom. Melike wants to know why Huso wants his phone but he claims he’s just going to call work. Melike doesn’t believe him. Demet asks if it hurts a lot and Huso says yes, it feels like he was hit by a car! Lol He wishes he could sleep but he can’t. Melike is personally offended by this and says she won’t bother him anymore she slams his phone on the table by his bed and storms out. Hasan is thirsty and wants Demet to take him to get a drink but Demet tells her brother to wait. Huso tells her to take him though so Demet leaves with Hasan telling dad to call her if he needs something. Left alone Huso calls Tayyar who comments that he beat death again. Huso says he needs to see Tayyar, it’s urgent.
We see Nilu driving off with the CD. She is looking thrilled! The henchie is following…
Melike stops a doctor to talk to him. She asks for reassurance that Huso has no complications. The doctor tells her not to worry. Huso’s condition is good. He has bruises and a few broken ribs. He just needs to rest and he’ll recover. Melike thanks him and when he walks away Melike sees Svetlana (I’m going to call her Lana for short) standing down the hall. She rushes over to confront her. How does Lana have the nerve to come here? Has she no shame? This is all her fault! Huso could have died! Get out of here, she orders, don’t bother us anymore! Melike is storming away but Lana stops her and begs her to tell her if Huso is going to be okay. And in a moment, we see that Melike is still capable of compassion even toward Lana because she confirms Huso is going to recover. But Melike doesn’t have the same compassion for Demet who has walked out of Dad’s room and come upon the two women because when Lana walks away and Demet asks who she was, Melike just says ‘it’s your father’s lover!’ Demet is impactada!
Omer and Elif are walking by the waterfront and he tells her that Huso lied to him. He looked him right in the eyes and lied. Omer told him he could help him get out of that swamp, but he still lied. He just acted the way he’s used to acting. What else can Omer do now? Elif doesn’t know what to say. She asks if it’s true then that Huso didn’t admit that he works for Tayyar. Omer asks if anyone has ever admitted working for Tayyar. It’s so frustrating. No one is willing to talk because Tayyar terrifies everyone. He bought Huso! That bastard got into Omer’s family and he still can’t catch him. He is Omer the useless.
Elif asks him to please not say that. Omer says isn’t it true? Tayyar has used everyone right in front of my eyes. He traffics organs and launders money, and I can’t find evidence or witnesses. The bastard is clean. And on top of that, he claims he does charity work. Elif says it’s true that Omer still can’t catch him and hasn’t sent him to prison, but that doesn’t mean Omer hasn’t tried. For a long time, she thought Tayyar was part of her family. She believed she could trust him. Omer was the one who showed her his true face. And now Tayyar’s afraid of you, my love. He’s scared. And he’s making mistakes. Thanks to those mistakes, Omer has gotten closer to him and all his men. Elif concludes, ‘I think a happy ending is approaching. Captain.’ Omer looks hopeful for a moment but then tells Elif that she’s the only happy ending he wants.
Nilu arrives looking like the cat who ate the canary! She can’t keep the smile off her face as she explains that Pelin told her where to find Omer and Elif and she has a wonderful surprise. She finally got the safe open, she has the disc!
Fatih reminded me of Tayyar way too much as he was talking to the fish! He says to them, ‘How I envy you two. The world could fall apart and you’d still be moving from one side to the other, isn’t that, right?’ Tayyar enters and he asks how dad is. Tayyar wants to know what Fatih is going there and Fatih actually says he wanted to feed the fish!! I don’t know why that made me laugh but it did. Anyway, daddy is mad because Serhat is alive, alive, alive! Fatih’s men messed up. Fatih says it’s unfortunate but these things happen, he’ll take care of it. It’s not that easy though, Tayyar tells him, Serhat escaped when he was taken to the hospital, no one knows where he is. How is Fatih going to resolve it? Serhat must die before Omer finds him! Fatih just says to stay calm and leave it to him but Tayyar says they can’t count on luck to save them this time, he wants Fatih to kill Serhat personally! Serhat’s becoming a problem for them. He says Fatih wanted the world to tremble every time they heard his name. This is his chance. When he kills him, everyone will know who Fatih Dundar is and what he’s capable of!
Serhat makes it to the car of one of his guy’s. Dude wants to know what is wrong, but Serhat just says to take him to the usual place.
Nilu, Elif, and Omer are now sitting at a table with a computer. Nilu says she hasn’t seen the recording yet; she wanted them to do it together. Well, she wouldn’t have understood anyway. Police matters aren’t for her. Tayyar’s henchie is watching and then he goes to mess with Nilu’s car. Cutting the breaks? He’s cutting something – not sure how cut wires are going to look like a system malfunction. Elif says Nilu was very brave. She risked her life and did something very important. Unfortunately, it’s not going to do any good because the CD only has images of Lana on it, stuff they already knew. It’s not the smoking gun!! Nilu doesn’t understand. But she quickly decides she’ll just have to start over! She runs off as Elif runs after her trying to stop her.
Henchie calls Tayyar and tells him the meet is over. Nilu handed over the disc. Tayyar is pleased, now they can start celebrating. Henchie says she’s about to get in the car and Tayyar makes sure his man did the job. He’s assured everything is ready. Tayyar says very good, wait until she’s aware from Omer and her sister, follow her and make sure everything goes well. Henchie says yes, sir and Tayyar makes it clear that if Nilu gets lucky and a crash doesn’t happen the man is to make sure ‘she crashes anyway’. Fatih walks up right as these words leave his mouth. Did he hear dad’s words? He didn’t seem to as he just asks where dad was and why he disappeared when they are discussing Serhat. He wants dad to follow him but Tayyar says no, go meet with your men and wait for me there. Fatih says dad seems nervous, why? Tayyar denies it, he’s just handling a business matter. Tayyar speaks into the phone again telling his man goodbye and to keep him informed.
Elif catches up to Nilu and tells her she can’t go back. Nilu is determined to leave but Elif says this spy movie ends right now! Nilu claims she’s going back to make sure Tayyar gets caught but Elif doesn’t buy it. She turns to Omer and says I told you so! She’s deceiving us. This is just an excuse to be with him, to marry him! Nilu tries to interrupt but Elif isn’t hearing it, she wants Nilu to admit she took advantage of this situation just to be with Fatih. Nilu denies, her intention was to help Elif. She owes her. Elif doesn’t know what debt Nilu is talking about and where she gets these strange ideas but Nilu says ‘you had to commit a crime because of me. You went to prison and risked your life. I don’t know how to thank you for everything you’ve done for me.’ Elif says she only needs Nilu to go home, please! But Nilu is determined, she’ll go back, she’ll find what she’s looking for. She’ll get evidence to incriminate Tayyar and besides…. Elif interrupts, besides you want to be with him, don’t you? Nilu just looks at her and Elif asks how she can possibly want that, how can she even think it.
Nilu finally admits it and says, ‘If only you could see Fatih through my eyes. If only you realized who he really is. Fatih is just a wounded child. A child who tried to earn his father’s love by doing the wrong things. Everything he knew from the moment he was born was dark and twisted. But I’m teaching him how to love. He’ll be a bad memory for everyone, and they’ll be surprised when they meet who he becomes.’ Omer tells Nilu that she’s making a huge mistake. She needs to get out of there before it’s too late. She can divorce whenever she wants. She shouldn’t be afraid she needs to end this. Nilu says she loves her husband very much. Perhaps one day they will understand that her decision is best for everyone.
Nilu tries to leave again but Elif says she’s not going anywhere, she can’t leave. Nilu gives Elif a tender look and says not to worry, nothing bad is going to happen to her. ‘I love you very much,’ Nilu says. ‘Forgive me for all the times you cried because of me.’ ‘Don’t go, Nilüfer,’ Omer says. ‘You know very well that if you go back there, you’ll be in danger.’ But Nilu just looks him in the eye and asks, ‘And isn’t love worth it? Wouldn’t you go to hell for my sister?’ She gives a little smile and drives away. Elif cries and Omer hugs her.
Serhat makes it to his hideout, a metal box? His man wants to call a doctor but Serhat just wants a phone. The dude leaves and Serhat calls Tayyar. He tells Tayyar that he received his greetings and he’ll receive his too. Tayyar asks where he is and he says he’s not in hell (lol). Serhat needs to explain something to Tayyar, when he says he trusts someone, he does; but he never lets anyone betray his trust. Now they will begin another game and Serhat will choose the rules. Tayyar advises Serhat to turn himself into the police so he’ll live longer and Serhat says he wants a million liras and a private jet! He’s leaving the country. Otherwise, he’ll meet with Omer and he’ll make sure to ruin Tayyar! Oh, and don’t send your hitmen, he warns. I don’t intend to die! When he says it’s not a good idea to betray him, he means it. Does Tayyar look nervous?
Tayyar enters a room with Fatih and some other man and tells the man to leave. He informs Fatih that he just spoke with Serhat. He wants one million liras and a private jet to leave the country. Good, Fatih responds. Let’s find the aspiring magnate. He’ll have a mansion — of course he will — but it’ll be in the marble cemetery, with flowers. Tayyar says he already ordered his men to take care of it. Fatih should wait here until he calls him. Fatih nods and walks out of the room.
Elif and Omer are now driving and Omer asks if she’s okay. Elif responds more or less. She’ll be okay, and him. Omer says he’s okay and Elif says she thinks she found a way to get to Tayyar. Omer says to explain and Elif says she knows he’s going to get mad and tell her she’s playing police but… What is it, Omer asks and Elif sighs and says that Tayyar is going to retire and she wants to take over the presidency of his foundation. Omer is aghast. She did this without asking him first. She just got angry at Nilu for what she did and now she’s doing the same thing! Elif says it’s not the same because Nilu is living in the lion’s den. Elif just wants to investigate. She doesn’t want to sit around while Omer does everything. Besides, she found a clue that might help us. Omer doesn’t like this. He tells her things and it’s like she doesn’t listen. When he finally thinks she understood, she comes up with an idea even worse than the last one! (Their marriage should be fun, right?) Elif says ‘Captain, let me speak, please.’ And Omer says oh, so I’m not allow to say what I’m thinking and Elif agrees that he isn’t! LOL Omer says okay, he’s listening, what did she find? Elif says Hattice!!! What? Omer asks, Fatma’s daughter, the sister of Sibel? Elif nods and Omer looks thunderstruck.
Melike is feeding Huso and he asks what time is it. Melike wants to know why Huso wants to know, is it so he can see his lover? Huso warns not to talk to him like that she’ll make him angry. Melike tells him to feed himself and backs up to a chair across the room. Huso goes to get up and she asks where he’s going. Huso says he’s just going to walk a little and Melike asks what’s wrong, can he really not stand being without Lana? Huso deflects, it’s this food. It’s impossible to eat. I’ll try to get something else. Who could eat this? Maybe the doctor likes it. Melike says not to talk like that, it’s food. Huso pauses and then tells Melike to go buy him something! He wants real food. Melike doesn’t budge and Huso says ‘move woman, I’m starving!’ Melike is disgusted he just opened his eyes and he’s already back to ordering her around. Huso offers to call Lana, she always does what she’s told without him having to repeat himself. Melike says he obvious learned nothing from his near-death experience – what a prince! What a wonderful husband he is, bravo…. She walks out the door. Is she going to buy food? I hope not. Huso is getting up anyway, where is he going?
Omer and Elif arrive at Arda’s where Arda, Pelo and Ipek are. Yagiz is sleeping. There’s clearly some technical issue and Arda is on the phone talking to someone about how computers only cause problems and they need to check it now. Omer asks if there’s any news and Pelo says Hattice lied about her scholarship, guess where she’s living. Elif says London and Pelo nods. She’s at the foundation with about 20 other young women. Omer is distraught, the people around him keep surprising him. What a shame. And he was so happy for her. He’s pacing and Elif goes to comfort him. It’s normal for this to happen, she tells him. You can’t know everything that’s going on. You’re human. You can’t control everything. Omer hugs her gratefully and Ipek looks very uncomfortable with their affection. Arda finally gets off the phone, he’s got the information. Hattice is arriving in Istanbul today! It’s very strange, why is she visiting so soon? Tickets are expensive. Omer draws the logical conclusion. She’s a mule! Arda agrees. She’s arriving tonight, by boat.
.
Ali reads some guy the riot act for not being able to find Serhat. I thought it was Tolga at first, but then I realized it wasn’t. Cop says Organized Crime is in charge of Serhat, why is Ali asking him. Ali isn’t trying to hear it; this cop doesn’t get paid to question him. He orders him to find Serhat or face the consequences of being incompetent. He orders him to get out and mumbles about being surrounded by idiots. After the poor guy leaves, Ali calls Tayyar who wants to know if he’s found Serhat but no, he hasn’t appeared. Ali is doing everything he can. Tayyar wants to make sure he’s also supervising tonight’s delivery and Ali says everything is ready, he took care of it. He says not to worry but Tayyar says he’s going to worry about everything from now on and Ali will too. He’s in charge of the delivery and must follow the girl. He will personally bring Tayyar what he’s expecting from London. Lately things haven’t been going well. Tayyar asks him why make enemies at this point, Ali. I assume you don’t want your family to mourn you.
Omer is on the phone and he hangs up with a smile. Good news they have authorization from the Finance Department. Only they will know about this operation. And a couple colleagues from Finance…he trails off when he notices the looks on everyone’s faces. What happened? Serhat escaped Ipek tells him. Omer doesn’t understand and Pelo explains they tried to kill him in prison. On the way to the hospital, he disarmed the officers with him and escaped.
Omer tells Arda to take Yagiz and Ipek to the station and don’t leave them alone. But Arda explains Tolga is on his way, he says he is searching everywhere. It’s a huge mess and he upset someone. (This makes it sound like it was Tolga in Ali’s office, but that wasn’t the same actor – similar but not the same). Omer says they need to pressure Serhat to tell them everything he knows. Elif asks how do you plan to find him? Omer agrees it won’t be easy. He hides like a rat. He looks to Ipek but she says she looked for him for months and couldn’t find him. Omer considers and says maybe Yagiz knows something. Ipek wonders what he could know but Omer says not to underestimate him. He could know some details that would help. Omer asks if anyone has a better idea but no one speaks up. Omer thinks Yagiz can help and Ipek says I’ll wake him then.
Huso is fully dressed and is now escaping down the hallway. Omer’s man goes to follow but unfortunately Huso is smart enough to know he’s there and he loses him by pretending to get in the elevator, waiting until dude takes the other elevator and then exits. Huso makes it outside to a waiting Tayyar. Tayyar doesn’t think God wants Huso with Him, since he keeps escaping death. Huso glares and Tayyar says it’s just a little humor, don’t get angry. He wants Huso to recover soon. He’s very sorry he couldn’t visit him at the hospital, but Huso was so good tp worry about his boss that he decided to visit him. That makes Tayyar very happy! Huso says, ‘I’m not in the mood for your jokes, Tayyar. I want us to talk seriously. Let’s go.’
Omer gives Yagiz water and starts asking him about Serhat. The first thing he remembers is the same house he was rescued from but Omer tells him to think harder and then he remembers going to a boat with lots of very big boxes, there were boxes everywhere. They put lots of things in there and then they were placed on trucks. Omer asks if there was anything else and Yagiz says there was a castle in the middle of the sea (I think), like the stories his mom used to tell him. And dad told him there was a princess in the castle. This is clearly significant for our detectives, as faces light up and Omer very enthusiastically embraces Yagiz and says he did a wonderful job. He’s a hero!
Everyone runs out as Omer says Ipek needs to wait there for Tolga. Elif tries to go with of course, but Omer says no way! Elif doesn’t argue which is suspicious…Elif walks out right after the team saying bye to Ipek and telling Yagiz to take care, is she going to follow?
Serhat calls a man while wrapping his own wounds. He wants to know if he found Ipek and he’s not happy to hear that Ipek is saying in a cop’s house and was rescued in the attempt on her life. Serhat yells, he wants his son!!! Take care of it now! The camera pans out and we see that Serhat is indeed holed up in a freight container, surrounded by lots of freight containers…. Fatih is headed somewhere while checking his gun, is he headed for the freight too?
Hussein had retrieved the diamonds and the pen drive from a locker or something. He gets in the SUV with Tayyer and gives him the diamonds but holds on to the pen drive. He seems to be negotiating for the copy of incriminating evidence Tayyer has on him. Neither trusts the other to not have or make copies of what they have on each other so it's a bit of a stalemate. Hussein wants to go away with Svetlana and their son, but it seems he also hopes to salvage his relationship with his other two children. Hussein says you must think I'm stupid, and Tayyer agrees he seems to be lacking in intelligence. He threatens Tayyer. If it's the last thing I do I'll kill you then put a gun to my head. Hussein gets ready to leave and Tayyer asks for the documents. They agree to meet and exchange the documents for the pen drive and the truth that Hussein is an assassin will never come out.
Hussein shuffles back into the hospital as Tayyer grins at the handkerchief full of pink diamonds.
Fatih arrives at Serat's shipping container house (we call them a Conex here) and hollers for serhat. Fatih gives him the duffle bag of money and plane ticket. As he shoved it into Serat's arms he punches him and sends him to the ground pulls a gun on him which Serat kicks from his hand and points it at Fatih. The driver of Fatih appears behind Serat but Fatih's glance at him tips Serat off and he turns and shoots the other guy in the chest. More fighting as Serat gets the gun back again, I guess Fatih knocked it loose after he shot his driver but I missed it while typing.). Serat of course talks about how he is going to send Fatih to his maker which buys enough time for Omar to come to the rescue. But now Serat holds the gun to Fatih's head instead. He goads Omar who, after Arda and Pelin appear as backup, shots him in the arm but he still has the gun now pointed at Omar. Omar fired again and shoots him in the forehead, so he's definitely dead.
And now Nilufer has turned onto a downhill road and her breaks aren't working. I would have thought in town driving would have brought this issue to light, but I guess she didn't get stuck at lights or intersections even though she made a left onto the downhill road she is now navigating.
Omar is trying to reason with Fatih. Your dad is using you, turning you into an assassin for filthy money. Fatih says it's not the money, he didn't fulfill his obligations. Omar points out that Nilufer loves him, but that love can be lost. Your father steals your kidney yet you still blindly do as he wants. You would be better served preserving your love for Nilufer than doing daddy's bidding. Who deserves it more, the woman who gave up her family for you or your (horrible) father. Omar says let's make a deal. Let's help each other. The calvary arrives without Fatih giving an answer.
Nilufer can't control the car and it goes airborne over the cliff. The guy that cut the brakes observes and reports back to Tayyer.
In the squad car Omar sits in the back with Fatih Omar continues to try to reason with fatih. He tells him I believe there is a good person inside of you. Free yourself from your father. He's slowly destroying himself.
Hussein gingerly returns to his hospital bed groaning in pain. Melike and a nurse come in asking where has he been. He went for a walk and a bite to eat, he's not a prisoner, is he? The guy who was supposed to follow him is called Kabob. Hussein lectures him on the correct way to tail someone. Kabob claims he was just following him to make sure he was okay. (No way is a police department providing security to a guy that walked in front of a car because he was drunk so Hussein knows he is under suspicion). He tells Kabob to get Pelin and Arda for him.
Melike gathers her coat and purse. She's out of there as he's well enough to do a walkabout. He can go to hell, she's going to spend time with her children. As she reaches the door Hussein yells don't leave me, don't leave me alone. She comes back and says you hit me, had another woman and I didn't leave you. And this is how you speak to me. From now, you take care of yourself and I'll take care of me. Hussein stares after her with a lump in his throat as she leaves the room.
Mert has spent the entire night at the his with Demet. (What a nice young man). He says this isn't the most opportune time to speak of this but would you be my novia? Melike calls Demet as she walks by, let's go now. Demet tells Mert they must have argued again. But of course me answer is yes, yes! He gives he a peck in the nose and she is embarrassed and says not her! He smiles as she leaves.
Ardo tells Omar they can hold Fatih at most overnight. He's obviously not going to say anything. Pelin comes in saying what kind of police officer if you can't keep track of an injured man! She tells Omar that Onur (aka Kabob, so was that a nickname Hussein gave him?) lost Hussein for 2 hours.
Omar tries to contact someone on the phone(Ipek?) but gets no response. Pilar is going to check the security cameras.
Mert is waiting at a bus stop when Levent calls him. He wonders if he's heard from Elif, she's not answering. ( So this is who Omar was trying to find I'm guessing). Levent is upset she has no time for him.
Elif has been spotted. She's trying on wedding dresses. Omar has tracked her down and sees her in her beautiful dress. She's mad, it's bad luck (fun Turkish song plays.). He says that's only in movies. She disagrees, she believes in bad luck (foreshadowing?). He says the spell won't be broken, he's more in love with her than ever. (After he leaves I'd be trying on different dresses unless this was a special order!). She looks so wonderful he'll look ridiculous next to her. She says, hell look perfect because they match. Awh...
Ambulance shows up at Nilufer's accident scene. The car has flipped and she's trapped inside. Ardo is telling Fatih he's had enough time for his phone call, to Nilufer, who of course can't answer. We need your statement. So he hadn't called nilu because he asks can I call her, Ardo says ok. The call goes to voicemail.
Omar tells Elif that Serhat is dead so he won't be a problem anymore.
Hussein drags himself home. His mother 'greets' him on the dilapidated porch (Omar has time to paint his new house but in the year he's been home he's done nothing for his mother's place! It's a mess). Hussein asks for a hug and embraces her, but she keeps her arms stiffly against her side. She says she's glad he's okay. Get well soon. He wants to go in and rest. She stops him. When you and Melike married you were very much in love and I love her like my own. I tried to protect her the first time you hit her, you promised you never would again. You tortured her for years but she never said anything. Then you get another woman and child. She doesn't deserve your mistreatment. Go back to where you came from and stay there and may God be with you. Hussein says I'm your son! If a man can't treat his wife right and make her happy, he is no longer my son. So you aren't going to let me in. Nope, I should have thrown you out after the first time, in that respect I'm also responsible for what happened to Melike. But it's never too late to fix what you've done, one piece of advice as you leave your father's house. Hussein limos down the stairs a battered and broken man. Melike, teary eyed, watches from a window.
Omar and Elif walk in the rain discussing there wedding to be, which they've invited no one to it appears, and life in general. He has 2 hours to spare for her before going to the station to take a (Fatih's) statement. They go to a coffeeshop where they await so.obes arrival. My CCS met me down here as he says "how do you plan to endure the wedding day if you're already stressed about my urine! English translation given me, CCS in Spanish are "si ya estas estresadas de mi orina" orina is obviously wrong but I'm not sure what is actually said. So they are awaiting Nedret and Omar's mom, Elvan ( I like when names are given in a scene, I always forget Mom's name,). The good news they have to tell them is they've moved their wedding date up to March 12th. Nedret is not happy.
Fatih is still at the police station. Arda comes in, the boss has said he's free to go.fatih wants to talk to Omar, his brother in law ..
Fatih walks out calling Nilu again and this time a strange woman answers.
Omar tells mom and aunt they are getting married and will have the reception in the summer. Nedret tries to throw up road blocks, you were going to rent a house, buy furniture, etc. Elif says Omar has made progress on our place. Nedret continues to pint out problems. We didn't even receive an invitation. Well, that's because we don't have any, Omar says. We just want a small ceremony if you want to help. Nedret concedes, but can't understand why she would choose her father's death date. Omar points out it is also Elif's birthday. That shuts her up. Elvan is of course happy. Omar and Elif leave for work. Nedret and Elvan remain to discuss the wedding preparations. The henna night, rehearsal dinner ( Nedret shoots down Elvan's suggestion of hosting it at her house, of course it will be at Nedret's (nieces bigger and better)house with servants to do the work. Elvan says we need to see their new place to get the trousseau. Nedret says I need your help. Ipek should not be at the wedding.
Omar and Elif walk away.fiwn the street discussing their future wedding. Elif gets a call from the hospital about Nilufer's accident.
Thank you Darcy and Kat for great recaps! As I said previously, these are episodes I have little recollection of, so the summaries are very helpful.
It was fun watching how excited Nilufer was that she had gotten the cd. She wants so much to be one of the “adults” like Elif. She was wise to connect the love of Tayyar’s life (Mert’s mom) to her search for the passcode to the safe. Too bad Tayyer got there first.
I also liked her defense of her love for Fatih. He is lucky to have her support.
Huso is just awful. I thought his close call would bring him around. However, he stood up to Tayyar as he has nothing to lose! Hooray!
Elvan kicking him out was great. She is so nice and polite, but there’s another side when she is defending her family. Melike, for all her faults, has been a loyal dil and Elvan supports her.
Elif in the wedding dress, ahhhh! She’s so in love. The scenes of the two of them were such fun! Wow! I never tire of watching those actors!!!
The scene of Nedret and Elvan with Elmer at the
Cafe was funny, but Nedret is such a snake in the grass! Lots to plan for the wedding and Nedret still set on preventing it. Grrrr!
Nilufer’s accident was scary. She is so little in that big car. Perhaps the strength of the car gave her some protection. I’m hoping Fatih makes the connection to Tayyar!
Thanks to all for the summaries! Let me know if any want to skip next weekend. I have you on that list already, Kat.

Keep me on the list. I binge watched this weekend so I already watched my episode. I'll rewatch when I write my recap. Now I'm trying to catch up on Golden.
Thanks Kat! I enjoyed reading your recap, I don't remember what Omer said about Elif being stressed unfortunately.
I'm glad Serhat is dead! We need fewer bad guys... and Fatih looked impacted that Omer saved him, but maybe not enough. Omer has a good point why is Fatih still loyal to kidnap stealing Tayyar. I question whether he actually is or not, I think Fatih might have ulterior motivates but let's see what happens when he finds out about Nilu!
I hope Nilu lives!!!
Nedret's makeup is getting weird.... she's looking more and more severe and just unnaturally wicked every episode. It has to be a purposeful choice on the makeup dept but it's weird. She hasn't been like that the whole time, she looked normal in the beginning.
So glad Elvan sent Huso packing!
I actually wouldn't mind taking the weekend off for Easter - it's going to be a busy weekend! But I can recap too if everyone wants to do that. Just let me know!
Darcy, let’s skip yours this weekend. I can do one. If Dondi can, then we can just do three. Kat can do hers at her convenience as long as she follows Dondi. Kat is very busy Sunday.
I’ll put schedule up shortly.
