#30 part 1

Pizzeria replay. Oooh… Ferit is not a happy camper.

Halis thanks Hatice for the coffee. Kazim says his aunt’s is the best…bilesin. He asks Ifakat, how are you? She’s fine but notes that Kazim didn’t look so well last night. He answers that it’s nothing bad. He’s been feeling a little depressed. Maybe it’s the Istanbul weather or water.

Halis is ready to get down to business. He throws Kazim a curveball. I’m here to talk about your eldest, Suna. Not the new house Kazim was expecting. Suna is nervously listening from the kitchen.

Kazim asks, did she do something wrong? It wasn’t her, Halis replies, we did something wrong. Obviously, something unpleasant happened. Kazim says that nothing unpleasant happened. He refers to the visitors from Antep asking about Suna. As her parents and aunt, we wanted to see her get married.

That’s why I’m here, Halis says. Last time we were here, you told us what happened to your daughter was our fault, am I mistaken? Kazim backs off of that previous notion—estağfurullah, Ağa, it’s no matter. Halis continues, if we are responsible for what happened to her, then we are also responsible for her quick marriage. If you’ll allow, I’d like to make your daughter, Suna, a guest in our house. We will take care of her.

Esme breathes a sigh of relief. Suna is listening from the kitchen. Halis explains, we will teach her the ways and manners of Istanbul. When the time comes, we will create a family for her with someone worthy of you and the Korhan family.

Kazim asks if Halis is serious. He’s surprised. He’s excited. He asks for Hattuc’s opinion. She leaves it up to him as the father. But she adds it’s a good opportunity for a girl her age. Kazim asks if Suna will be at the yali or at home. Halis replies, we will give her a room, but she can come and visit. Our DIL, Ifakat, will supervise and teach her. We don’t doubt her education, Ifakat adds, but we must add more knowledge. As you see fit, Kazim answers. I’ll personally handle her every need in all matter. If she goes anywhere, it will be under my control and my responsibility. [at least it’s better than living with Kazim.] Kazim gives 2 thumbs up.

Istanbul is a different world, Halis notes, both its problem and beauty is how big it is. May Allah bless this. Kazim responds, may Allah be pleased with you! He turns to Hattuc, see how quickly this was solved? This is great! He kisses Halis’ hand.

Kazim shouts at Esme to get Suna so she can kiss the Ağa’s hand. Lol, Halis looks like he can barely tolerate Kazim at this point. Suna comes and kisses Halis and Ifakat’s hands. Ifakat looks at Suna like she’s fresh meat. Hattuc thanks Halis. Suna is smiling.

We get a voice over from Halis on his drive home. Night covers everything. Only our lies and sins remain exposed. (He thinks about young Hatice.) What would we do without them? That, I don’t know. But when time passes and you get to be my age, you’re always thinking about yesterday. What did I do? Why did I do it? Was it the right? A lot of thought.

We see that Halis has really been talking at the dinner table. His speech continues, it could be many things behind closed doors, that our relationships have become entangled. That our secrets (camera on Ifakat and Orhan) fall into the water and circulate from ear to ear. It could be that we’re fighting not to give up. (now we see Seyfer).

Ferit sneaks a look at his phone. I guess that’s Pelo contacting him. Seyro gives him the side eye. Halis continues, there’s only one way to handle everything, my children, to emerge unscathed from all wars, that’s to be reasonable and honest. At least try, without giving up. (Now we see Asuman and Fuat and they hold hands under the table.) Like the wood that Jonah (Yunus) picked up, perfectly clean.

#30 part 2

Halis rises from the table. As long as you come to me and always be honest, I’ll support you. Halis turns to Seyran before he leaves, daughter, you can relax about your sister. She’s under my and Ifakat’s protection from now on. We will have a room ready for her as soon as possible. She can come and go, and you can see each other more often. Asuman doesn’t look pleased. Seyran is grateful. She kisses Halis’ hand. Ferit thanks grandpa. Then he leans over to Seyran, what do you say? Let’s go to our room now.

Seyfer get to their room and Seyran takes a blanket and pillow from the bed. What are you doing, Ferit asks. Since you’re upset today, I thought you might like to sleep on the bed tonight. Ferit admits he was a little upset but he doesn’t think there is a need to sleep separately. He throws the pillow back on the bed. She quips, after all that happened today, you can still joke like this? Well done, she applauds, how quickly you recover. Forget my shattered dreams, he replies, tell me what else I can do for you? Seyro mocks, ay… what did you do for me?

Ferit answers, what did I do? The great Halis Korhan took your sister under his care, and that was all thanks to who? Ferit Korhan! All thanks to Ferit Korhan! So, tell me, what else can I do for you? Seyran answers, thank you very much, Ferit. This is the fifth time I’ve thanked you, okay? You’re annoying. I am allowed, Ferit replies, this is what puts me in a good mood. Of course, she says, you need it after what you went through today. She makes a little pouty face at him. He asks, how long are you going to repeat this?

Seyran wonders what will happen now. You don’t have to, Ferit replies, your father can’t force Suna to marry. That’s enough for now. My grandfather did his part. He gets up and sits next to her and places his arm around her on the back of the couch. He says, now it’s our turn. She moves away and says, your grandfather is not waiting for you with an hourglass downstairs, is he?

Ferit slides closer to her. He’s waiting, Seyran, he is. That’s what we promised and we should keep it. This isn’t a game. Seyran says, find a way to solve this problem. Find a solution. Ferit starts playing with her hair. I’ll ask you something. Why are you like this? She moves her hair away from him and says, I wouldn’t expect you to understand. He moves closer again. But I want to know, he replies, if you tell me, I might understand.

She goes to sit on a chair. What can I say, Ferit? How many times should I say it? I don’t want to be with you. I don’t want you to touch me. what don’t you understand? He asks, is that so? Yes, she says, for you, it’s a little thing. Whatever… let’s not talk about it. I’m uncomfortable.

Ferit asks, is there something you’re not telling me? Something about your past I should know? Like what, she replies. Don’t misunderstand, he says. Is there something specific that makes you so nervous? Something that scares you? Something you don’t want me to know? Something you don’t want me to find out? Seyro looks at him. What are you saying, I don’t understand.

There’s a knock at the door. Ha, Ferit wonders, how are we going to make a baby in this house [with all the interruptions.] It’s Fuat. Can I come in? Seyro says of course. She’s going to order coffee and asks if he wants some. Ferit’s not so happy to see his bro.

Fuat says he didn’t get the opportunity to ask about Suna downstairs. He asks, is this because we went out and drank? I feel responsible. Seyro is about to order the coffee. Fuat says he can’t now. Asuman is calling and she gets upset if I disappear. Seyro smiles, why don’t you invite her too? Fuat calls Asuman. Ferit asks, Seyro, what are you trying to do? [we know.]

#30 part 3

Seyro orders the coffee through the intercom. Sefika asks Dicle to make the coffee since she’s very tired. Dicle agrees and tells Sefika to go rest. Yusuf is also in the kitchen so it’s no surprise she sends Sefika off. Yusuf says he’ll clear his dish and then go on patrol. Dicle tells him to come back later and have coffee with her. He smiles and says okay.

Ferit, Seyran, Asuman and Fuat seem to be having a good time chatting. Fuat tells Asuman she should have seen Ferit when Seyran got up to play piano. Ferit says he wasn’t expecting it. I wish I could have seen it, Asuman replies. Ferit suggests the four of them should go out sometime. Asuman says let’s ask Fuat. Why me, he asks, like I said, this was last minute work dinner. Asu explains, I didn’t mean your dinner. Seyran and Ferit look at each other.

Seyro says Asuman and I already talked about it. One day when we were all free, we’d have dinner together, but it didn’t happen. Asu says they can make other plans. She says, maybe we could go out in the evening and listen to Ferit.

Seyro asks, listen to Ferit? You didn’t know, Asu replies, he has a lovely voice. Ferit seems a bit shy about this. His phone rings and Seyran picks it up from the table. Pelin is calling. Give it to me, he says. She tells him she will silence it for revenge. Very funny, he says. Fuat asks, who is it? Seyro answers, a close friend. But they are on the outs right now. She’s trying to make up.

Ferit wants to change the subject. I said I’d surprise my wife today. He gives her a pinch on the cheek. She turns away.

Dicle makes coffee for herself and Yusuf. She’s rubbing her shoulder. He asks if she’s okay. She opens her dress and exposes her shoulder. There’s something there. Could you look? Yusuf is a little flustered but he rubs her shoulder. She’s enjoying it. I’ll ask you something, she say but it stays between us. Are you trying to enter the company? Did you say something to someone? He says no.

Dicle tells him she heard Gulgun and Orhan talking. Gulgun asked if there was a good job for you in the company. He doesn’t seem concerned about that. Dicle says there was a reason. She removes his hand. My mother saw you sneak Seyran’s sister out. Yusuf stutters, uh… she was already in the garden. I only helped her out the door. Dicle warns him to be more careful if he wants to stay at the yali. Of course I want to stay, he answers. I don’t want you to go either, she replies. She fixes her dress and says good night.

Surprise. Ferit plays the guitar and he sings. Seyran’s turn to be surprised. Yes, MRD recorded this for the dizi.

Stupid Yusuf gets the ladder and climbs up to Seyfer’s room. The couples are still there, having a good time. There is a noise out on the terrace. Seyran and Ferit hear it but the others don’t. Fuat notes it’s late and time to go. Ferit walks his bro and SIL to the door and Seyro goes to the terrace.

Yusuf is there and Seyran is angry. May Allah punish you! What are you doing? Get out of here! Everyone is inside! Your husband is trying to get rid of me, Yusuf tells her, I won’t say anything to harm you, but I won’t go anywhere. What harm, Seyro fires back, you are the harm! Get out of here! Yusuf doesn’t care. He says that Ferit’s mistress comes like this, too. Seyran swats at him. Leave!

#30 part 4

Seyran goes back inside. She tells Ferit it was the wind. He thought it was Pelin. She locks the door and draws the curtains. He wants to get back to the conversation they were having before their guests arrived. She says she doesn’t remember. He tells her she has the memory of a goldfish. It was the promise they made to grandpa.

Seyran plays the recording they made about the ping pong bet. She reminds him they still have that pending game. Unless you are scared, she adds, then there’s nothing I can do. He plays with her hair and says, you’ve been thinking about this all night. Trying to figure out a way to escape this.

Would you like to see the video again, she asks. No, he replies, show it to grandpa. He takes the phone and tosses it on the bed. He says, you didn’t win. You’ll never win. Why don’t you say it, she answers, admit it, say, “I can’t beat Seyran”.

Okay, he says, let’s end this. See what excuse you have tomorrow when I win. Let’s not drag it out. Goodnight... and this will be my last night on the couch. She says, I don’t understand why this bet means so much to you. Maybe because I promised my grandpa, he replies. She asks, is that the only reason? What else would it be, he answers, I’m not that desperate to have a child. I can’t say the same about other things, she notes.

This is getting very flirty. You already know, he tells her. I love being with you. I’m sick (crazy) for you, Seyran. Sick. I can tell, she replies, because there’s no other reason for you to be so insistent. I wish you had an explanation for why you are avoiding this, he says. What can I do if you don’t understand, she answers.

Ferit is up early and dressed and packed for the gym. Seyran is still in bed. He wakes her and says everything is ready. She tells him they have to visit her family. He asks, do you want to go before or after the match? More back and forth on the issue.

Abi has the car waiting for Seyfer. Seyran gets in and Ferit takes Abi aside. What about our camel, did we do it? [Ferit refers to Yusuf as a camel because he’s very tall. He’s making fun of him.] Abi says we couldn’t. Everyone loves this guy. I don’t understand it. He doesn’t make any mistakes. Ferit says they will have to find something.

Lol, of course they cut the advertisement that was in the Turkish ep. It looked like Orhan was leaving Ifakat’s room late night. He hears something downstairs and investigates. He finds Ferit in the kitchen looking for something to eat. He says he could eat something too. They use an app to order kebap. The delivery comes and Ferit and Orhan spend quality father son time.

Ferit gets in the car and asks Seyran when she will drive the car Orhan gave her. She says she has to get her license first so it will be easier for her to get to school. Ferit answers, when you say school, you mean our child’s school, right? Ferit puckers his lips for a kiss. She turns away from him.

Hattuc tells Kazim that Seyran and Ferit are coming. Kazim wonders if they will be able to look him in the eyes after what they did. Hattuc tells him to move on from this. If there’s trouble, it might get back to Halis. Kazim says, don’t worry. I’ll get my revenge later… bilesin. When Seyfer arrive, Hattuc tells Ferit to apologize to Kazim because he kidnapped Suna and lied about it.

Seyran and Ferit go to see Kazim. Seyran immediately has a flashback to her father choking her. Ferit and Seyran kiss Kazim’s hand. He glares at them. Kazim starts, my beautiful daughter, why did you lie to your father about something so serious? No answer. He continues, you said you didn’t know about your sister. Seyran says she’s sorry.

#30 part 5

Ferit says, I know there was a misunderstanding of the situation, but I heard it was resolved. Maybe it’s better to forget it. Kazim says, okay, we’ll forget it. [but it doesn’t look like he will.] Esme offers to bring tea. Seyran goes to help her mom. Ferit asks Kazim, how’s your head? It’s good, he replies, I’m solid as a rock. He slaps his forehead. Hattuc calls it an unfortunate accident. Yes, Ferit agrees. Seyran and I felt bad about it.

Seyran sees the broken pantry door and asks about it. Esme says don’t ask. Suna comes running into the kitchen—Seyran! I was saved! I was saved thanks to you! I owe you my life! Don’t say that, Seyro replies, it’s over and done now. Suna asks if their dad said anything. Seyro answers, well you know dad.

Esme tells them not to worry since Halis Ağa came. Hattuc rejected the marriage proposal. Suna tells Seyran that their mom broke the lock on the pantry. They laugh. Esme says she’s changed just like her daughters.

Hattuc goes to see what the ladies are doing in the kitchen. Ferit says that’s okay, he wanted to talk to Kazim alone. It’s about Suna. You misunderstood that night. We were trying to… Kazim interrupts—you said the topic was closed but you reopen it. You’ll just cause more harm… bilesin.

Ferit says he’d rather not reopen it, but Suna’s punishment was… Kazim interrupts again—punishment? You call that punishment? You don’t know what punishment is. Since when is your daughter’s marriage a punishment? Ferit nods and notes, your sense of punishment is different, isn’t it? It’s more physical.

Kazim is taken aback—what are you saying? Are you insulting me? Do you think your marriage to Seyran was different? That’s not the point, Ferit replies, am I the same as that person? That’s the subject, Kazim answers. Remember the night you asked for Seyran? What did Seyran say? “I won’t do it. You’ll have to kill me.” She insisted. And what did I do? I grabbed her by the hair and said, “you can’t argue with your father. I decided. It’s as I say.”

Ferit says that’s enough. He understands. Kazim says that it’s not enough, that’s why I’m telling you this. I locked her up, starved her and left her without water. She had to accept or she’d be dead. So, she went to the wedding and signed the paper. You see, Seyran didn’t want you at all. And you smiled and laughed that day like never before.

#30 part 6

Kazim continues, did you look at Seyran’s face that day? I did. Did you look to see if she smiled as much as you? And you judge me? Ferit answers, are you proud of what you have done? Proud? Kazim laughs, we are not like you kids. Son, I am the father of girls. I didn’t let them be comfortable in their father’s house so they would appreciate their husbands and their houses. You and Seyran are okay thanks to me. All thanks to me. Bilesin.

Ferit is affected by this. Incredible… so what you are telling me… is that you’ll always do what you want to your daughters? Kazim says it’s not like that. I gave you Seyran. She’s your responsibility now. But only Seyran. I didn’t say Suna. Leave Suna alone. Don’t get involved with her. She is a topic for me and your grandfather.

Ferit says he understands. He gets up and says, we came. We saw that she was okay. We will leave with your permission. You can go damat, Kazim replies. And you can come again so we can get to know each other. Let’s do that.

Seyfer leave. Ferit replays Kazim’s words: “do you know what Seyran said? “You’ll have to kill me. She wouldn’t have accepted you otherwise.“ Seyran sees that Ferit is upset after talking to her father. She asks, what did he say? Ferit doesn’t say anything. Seyran asks, are you okay? Ferit says, he’s okay. He (Kazim) didn’t say anything. He was just giving advice. She says her aunt was right, everything worked out for the best.

Ferit asks Seyran, with your father and everything she went through, why didn’t your sister go through with the marriage? Was the man that bad? Seyran looks down.

And we are out.

If Anastasia is unavailable, I could put up something about Monday night's broadcast. I did not watch it and will probably watch later today. I needed to get to bed early because a crew was coming to my house today to do some painting.

Thanks, dondi, for another fine recap. There's so much going on here and the actors seem to need to express it with facial expressions.

Ha! Ferit's irritability about Pelin and her new suitor reminded me of my nephew and my son. Bobby, the nephew, would be indifferent about several of his toys until the moment my son laid hands on one. Bobby was a year older, and he'd charge over and grab whatever it was.

Halis was masterful in his scene with Kazim. He seems to understand how petty and vengeful the guy is, and he protected Kazim's ego.

I knew it was coming. And they, of course, showed Asuman's irritated face upon learning Suna would be coming to live with the Korhans. My fingers and toes are crossed that Fuat gets over his infatuation. I think one illicit affair in the yali is enough.

I enjoy Seyran becoming more comfortable with the other Korhans.

I share your irritation, dondi, with Yusuf. I think Seyran was tempted to push him off the ladder.

Kazim's malice knows no bounds. A tiny jab by Ferit about "being physical" resulted in an attack on Ferit about how much Seyran hated marrying him.

Episode #29, Part 1
March 30, 2026

Sorry about the delay. I had to watch the beginning this morning, because hubby was watching baseball last night, and I ended up re-watching the whole episode.

The episode begins wth Lobo in prison fighting the sex trafficker from the first episode. Eugenio's friend (I can't find his name) shows up to help and they defeat the thugs.

Cesar Cruz and Misael Azufrero kiss in the club back hallway. Cesar finds out that Misael is an Azufrero, and shakes his head at what he and his brother Nacho have gotten into.

Adela's son Javi is going to Canada for basketball training with Adrian. Once Javi is gone, Adela and Hugo become intimate. Adela says she needs more income to be able to visit Javi in Canada. Hugo suggests that Adela work in the Human Rights division of the Fiscalia. That department is separate from Cruz.

Renata arrives at Graciela's house and has a bad flashback of the robbers. Antonia, who brought Renata, tells her to breathe slowly and think of happy memories in the house to chase the bad thoughts away. Anta gives Ren a small phone so she can call Antonia whenever. Remedios comes into the room, so Gracie says that Remedios is the housekeeper, and her grandsons are the gardners. Renata tells Graciela that Lobo is a good man.

Cruz comes to Graciela's house to meet Renata, and Ren tells him off. Gracie and Cruz decide to go out to lunch to discuss campaign things. Remedios will be the babysitter. Gracie and Cruz flirt at lunch, and Cruz tells Gracie that he and Leonor have a marriage of "arrangements".

Remedios found out that Renata has eyedrops, but Renata wouldn't let her know exactly what they were for. Later, Renata goes to visit her parents' tombs.

 

Lobo
Ep #29, part 2

Antonia comes to visit Lobo in prison, in a room away from the other visitors, since it wouldn't be good for people to see them together. The guard leaves, so they go towards the wall under the surveillance camera, where the camera can't see them. Antonia gives Lobo a small phone so he can call her. They kiss.

The guard on the take (he is the one named Ramos - not the other prisoner), tells Eugenio that Lobo has a special visitor. Ramos brings Eugenio to the small visiting room. They walk in to see Lobo kissing Antonia. Eugenio finds out that Lobo and Anta are accomplices. Mind blown! Lobo leaves the room and goes back to his cell. His little phone is ringing. It's Renata. She was trying to reach Antonia, but is very, very happy to speak with Lobo and vice versa. The prisoner with long hair overhears part of this call, so he knows that Lobo has a phone. Back in the small visiting room, Eugenio and Antonia have a conversation. She tries to tell him that Lobo is innocent of all charges and that he is a great guy. She is trying to help him fulfill the mother Miranda's wishes for Renata. Antonia admits to Eugenio that she loves Lobo. End episode.

Reminder: No Tuesday night Lobo episode, as Telemundo is showing a friendly futbol game. My hubby will be able to watch the entire Brewers' game in peace.

Episode 31 #1 of 7
“More than One Man in her Life”

Ferit is walking with a serious face, followed by Seyran, to some elevators. We hear Kazim saying “You’d have to kill me before I accept. She wouldn’t have accepted you otherwise. Seyran tells Ferit it looks like talking to her father upset him.
Seyran: What did he say? Are you OK?
He tells her he is fine and that he didn’t say anything. He just gave him advice. Seyran tells him her aunt is right that everything worked out for the best.
Ferit: Seyran, answer me. With her father and everything she went through, with her father and everything she had to suffer, why didn’t your sister go through with the marriage? Was the man that bad? Was he horrible, old, what was it?
Seyran: My sister accepted the marriage. She was going to give up. Her only other option was to keep living this sad life.
Ferit: She would have done it just to be free from your father?
Seyran: That’s right. It didn’t happen, thanks to your grandfather.

FLASHBACK (Ferit remembers this): Seyran: I’d rather be with my family and let my father punish me, then I’d be rid of you. That’s what I want.

Seyran says let’s go when the elevator arrives. In the elevator, Ferit reminds her they have a pressing game to finish. He thinks that should cheer them up. Seyran tells him she left her sneakers at home so they can’t right now. He accuses her of trying to put off the game and tells her to be brave. She asks him why she would postpone a game she knows she will win. He tells her she ought to be able to play in her boots. She says no, she isn’t allowed to play without proper shoes, that even if the gym people didn’t notice, she would be uncomfortable.
Ferit: So, you have an excuse if you lose, right? I have an idea. We’ll buy you new sneakers. If you want, I’ll wear your boots.

Pelin is looking at a picture of her with Ferit and feels very sad. Her cousin, Burak, offers to cheer her up. He brings her coffee and asks if she was able to get in touch with Ferit. She tells him he hasn’t talked to her since the day before. Not even a text. He tells her maybe it’s better this way. Pelin reacts angrily: None of this would have happened if you didn’t bring your friend, Burak. I should have broken my hand instead of silencing my phone.
She blames all the trouble on the Seyran sisters. She thinks Ferit must be stressed out and she didn’t answer him. Burak tells her to calm down, that she is exaggerating. He suggests she seriously reconsider her relationship. She tells him he is wrong and that if Ferit isn’t calling or texting, it’s because he loves her and he’s just jealous.
Burak: He’s always jealous. He gets confused and stressed and you are always in second place. And he’s married. He gets jealous standing next to his wife.
Pelin tells him he doesn’t understand. Ferit and his wife have nothing special. She reminds him how jealous he was when he found Burak there. She asks why he still reaches out. She says he wouldn’t do that if he didn’t love her.
Burak: Pelin, that’s not love.
Pelin: Then, what is it?
Burak: It’s his ego. A toxic addiction. Everything he does has to benefit him without caring about how anyone else feels. How did you end up here? Aren’t there other guys? You should let go and move on with your life.
He hugs her to comfort her as Pelin cries.

Episode 31 #2 of 7

Ferit and Seyran are in a sports store. He tells her to pick one pair of shoes. She hasn’t found any that she likes. He asks if there really are none in the whole store that she likes. He tells her try some on. She might find one comfortable enough to play in. She tells him that wouldn’t tell them anything. She would be trying them on for the first time. They would be stiff. Using new sneakers hurts.
Ferit: You aren’t even trying to hide it. This is a joke. I’m not crazy. This is clearly an excuse.
Seyran: You think that is what I’m doing? You think the sole victor needs an excuse?
He tells her she is boring him and scoffs at the sole victor comment. He calls her bluff and tells her he will call the house to bring her sneakers. She tells him that’s not necessary. They can play another day. Why the hurry?
Ferit, with a grin: No, I don’t want to postpone it anymore. I found our answer! This table. (he shows her a table for sale.)
Seyran: Ferit, that’s not funny. Play in the middle of the store?
He tells her it’s not a problem and she says they can’t do it. He goes to a clerk and asks if they can play on the table. He says sorry, it’s their last model and it’s for sale. Seyran thinks they can leave, but Ferit offers to buy the table and a pair of paddles. Can they play? The clerk goes to ask his manager.
Seyran: You have no control. You exaggerate too much.
Ferit: You’re the one who exaggerates. Now we can take the table home. It’s green and lovely, just like your green eyes, don’t you think?
Seyran can’t help but smile at this: I’ll remind you how I beat you every time I see it.
Seyran sets her phone to record, and he tells her it doesn’t matter if she does. He knows he will win. The video will help her learn from her mistakes during his victory.
Seyran: New game or should we continue with sudden death?
Ferit: We could continue, but then it would just be a matter of luck, and that’s not fun for anyone. Let’s start from zero, what do you say?
Seyran: That’s fine. New game. I’ll enjoy this.
Ferit: We both agree to restart, and it’s recorded.
Seyran: Of course, start. Or do you want to warm up?

This banter goes on for a while. They are enjoying this and it’s fun to watch their chemistry.
I guess they got permission, because they start the game. Their banter is lots of fun. When she gets a point, he tells her he gave it to her as a gift. The game continues. It’s finally 9-10. She tells him she doesn’t want this to go on much longer. He says the only thing longer is their son growing in her belly.
Seyran now has a very serious face. He tells her she isn’t playing chess and shouldn’t think so much and just serve. She tells him she is thinking about her university studies. They play until she overshoots the table. Ferit exults at being the great Korhan!
Ferit: He’s going to be a dad soon!
He tries to shake hands for a good game. Seyran’s face is totally serious. He continues to rub it in: I’ve been waiting for this a long time.
She takes his hand. He tells her if the mother, wants, I’ll help her with everything she wants. So she doesn’t get tired. It’s a promise.
She tells him she is going to review the recording. They might have missed a point.
Ferit: Revise all you want. This doesn’t mean you can’t study. You just have to wait.
He leaves to pay for the table.
Ferit tells her she needs to learn how to lose. Seyran’s face is muy impactada.

At the yali, Ferit is sharing the game with Fuat. Seyran is sitting with a crestfallen expression. Ferit shows it in slow-motion.
Ifakat is amused by this.
Fuat tells him he was lucky. Fuat agrees he won cleanly.
Fuat: I’m sorry, Seyran, but this time the victory was Ferit’s.
Seyran: Yes, I’d have won if it was sudden death.

Ifakat tells Carlos they don’t need anything else, but Fuat asks if Asuman is in her room. Carlos tells him they just brought her a coffee. Fuat excuses himself to do some paperwork. He tells Seyran she will win the next one, and Ferit tells him it’s cruel to give her illusions. Ferit is so merry, in contrast to Seyran. He tells her she knows he is only joking and suggests going to their room.
Seyran: No, I’m fine here and I’m not tired.
Ifakat: Tell your sister to come see me at an appropriate hour. Her room’s almost ready.
Seyran agrees.
Ferit: Grandfather really hurried. That was fast.
Ifakat: He’s old school. He likes everything done fast.
Ifakat smiles and says she is going to her room. She hopes they rest well.

Orhan is working at his desk when there is knock on his door. It’s Ifakat.
Ifakat: Father and son are working hard.
Orhan: There’s a lot to arrange. I assume you’ve been busy.
Ifakat: Is Suna giving you work?
Orhan: Yes, being her guardian is a lot of responsibility.
Ifakat: I’ll handle it, your wife’s not capable. [That’s cold!] I’ve always raised them more than her. You know that.
Orhan: I know. I think you’re wasting time with Suna. One day she’ll get married and you’ll be forgotten.
Ifakat: Maybe she doesn’t get married, and that way she’ll remain grateful.
[Interesting insight into Ifakat. She may be looking for a daughter.]
Orhan: You don’t want her to marry? What would you win with that?
Ifakat: The situation with Asuman is clear. Fuat doesn’t want to divorce, even though Asuman can’t make this work.
Orhan doesn’t understand this: What? Fuat and Suna together? You must be confused. That’s impossible.
Ifakat: There are thousands of reasons for it not to happen, but there’s only one for it to happen.

Ifakat nods: A grandson. The best part is we know Kazim will do anything for money, so if we pay him, he won’t say anything.

Seyran is still sitting on the couch across from Ferit. He moves over to the couch and asks what she is looking at on her phone. He sits right next to her and puts his arm around her, telling her he wants to see, too. She tells him to stop, that they are in the living room. He tells her he knows where they are.
He prods her to go upstairs: I think it’s time for you to fulfill your promise.
Seyran: Ferit, I didn’t set a date. Calm down. Please let’s leave this for later.
Ferit: That’s not how this works, Seyran. Didn’t you learn from my grandpa? I did what I had to. Go, now it’s your turn. I can make it fast.
Seyran: I don’t feel well. My head’s killing me.
Ferit: Hmmm. Let’s continue this discussion upstairs, darling wife.
They arrive at their attic. Ferit tells her this is the best place to talk. When does she think her headache will go away?
Seyran: I don’t think it will go away with you here.
Ferit: You lost, and I said you’d study one day. Why are you like this?
Seyran: I already told you, I have a headache!
Ferit: Saying you have a headache is the most common way to say you don’t love me.

Everyone in the kitchen is wondering. Sefika wonders why Ferit’s voice sounded off. Maybe there’s bad news from Antep. Sultan says she can’t stand it and goes up to eavesdrop. Ibo says she will listen behind the door. Sefika: A leopard never loses her spots.
Upstairs, Ferit and Seyran stand staring at one another.

Ferit: Yes. At the end of the day, it’s your idea, and you seemed very sure. Why are you so nervous?
Seyran: I’m not, Ferit. I’m shy. This whole thing is humiliating. You know this is wrong. Of course you know.
There is a knock at the door. Ferit tells him to enter.

Seyran stares at Ferit. Sultan is listening outside the door.

Yusuf looks at both of them, and then says: Yes, we did.

Ferit smirks as he looks at Seyran. She is still staring at Yusuf. Yusuf doesn’t look back at her.
Seyran’s face crinkles in fury, and she gives him an Ottoman slap.
Seyran: Yusuf, get out of here!
He leaves, and Sultan manages to get away without being caught.
Seyran is very impactada by this betrayal: He lied. It shouldn’t surprise me. You two are the same.
Ferit: Calm down. When you have more than one man in your life, it’s easy to judge and generalize.
Seyran looks at him in amazement.
Seyran: You don’t do the same? He’s lying. Do you believe him or me?
Ferit: Why should I believe you? How can I believe you when you’re always lying?
Seyran: I assure you, I’m not lying. Don’t you see what you did? At the end of the day, it’s my past. It’s not your problem.
Ferit: It’s not my problem. Whatever.
Seyran: Ferit, you are making me angry. Call me whatever you want, but don’t call me a liar!
Ferit: Whatever you say, Seyran. It’s fine.

Ferit: If Yusuf was really responsible, you should be yelling at him. What did you do? You yelled at him and told him to get out. You wanted him to leave. You’re afraid he’d say everything. You didn’t want him to give details.
Seyran goes to give him an Ottoman slap, but Ferit was anticipating it and stops her.
Ferit: Don’t even think about it.
Seyran: You don’t know how much shame you make me feel. I don’t want to be with you.
Ferit: I wish I never knew you.
Ferit gets his jacket and leaves.

Ferit walks out of the yali doors. He looks up at the attic a few times while walking. He has a very sad face.
Abidin comes up: What happened? Why the long face? Are you OK?
Ferit: I need to go out. I’ll feel better.
Abidin: You fought with Seyran, right?
Ferit: I don’t want to talk about it. I need to go out.
Abidin: Where? With Pelin?
Ferit: No, I need to go out and have fun.
Abidin: Just like old times?
Ferit manages a smile: Thanks.
He hugs Abidin.

Yusuf is lying on his bed making a face, no doubt remembering the big lie he told. He gets a message: I’ll see you on the pergola in ten minutes.

Ferit is telling Abidin the story: Seyran was planning to run from home with that idiot. So, she wouldn’t have to marry me.
Abidin: So, what happened?
Ferit: At the end, that idiot backed out. He didn’t want to go with her. Imagine if he’d accepted.
Abidin: I don’t understand why she wanted to run away with him, when she knew you were marrying her.
Ferit: I don’t understand. She loves him. Or they had something important, I suppose.
Abidin: Ferit!
Ferit: I don’t get it, Abidin. I really don’t. Kazim told me something. He told me she didn’t love me. He had to lock her up and force her to marry me. It’s unimaginable. It’s unbelievable that she had to get married by force.
Abidin: Calm down. Remember how she cried and how she felt? You knew.
Ferit: I know, but I thought it was nerves, or just a girl being emotional because she’s leaving her family to get married. I was wrong. She was upset over that idiot. Because her beloved boyfriend didn’t run away with her.
Abidin: Man, that’s in the past. Why are you stuck on this? Let it go. It’s different now. Like they say, a woman falls for the guy she gets. Anyway, I think she’s falling for your charms.
Ferit: Abidin you’re completely wrong. Seyran’s not like other girls. I don’t think that type exists anymore.
Abidin: Why the sweeping conclusion?
Ferit: Seyran had to trust him a lot. She’s not the type to risk herself unless they had something important.
Abidin: But that’s in the past! It already happened! Why don’t you let it go? You know, I don’t think she’s like that. Calm down, I’m sure it’s hard. You grew up on silk sheets and never had to ask for anything twice. Seyran came from a life where she had no control. It’s normal. Both of you need patience. You need to know each other. That takes a lot of time.

At a nightclub, Ferit is drinking and tells Abidin he doesn’t feel good. A girl comes up, recognizing Ferit. He finally recognizes her, Gulce, how are you?
Ferit asks where Akeem is.
Abidin is watching this with some apprehension. She tells Ferit Akeem didn’t accompany them. She tells him it’s ladies’ night and she came to dance with Eva, who is visiting from London.
Ferit is enjoying the conversation. The girls agree to join them. They’ve been drinking for some time. Abidin is still watching Ferit with concern.

Pelin is sitting alone by the water. A friend takes a picture of Ferit and the girls and sends it to Pelin. She gets mad and calls to find out where they are.

Ferit is making fun of his wedding ring. There’s a lot of flirty talk. Eva is moving in on Ferit. She offers to have him meet her in London when he travels there, and no one would know. She tells him she can see he is not happily married.
Ferit: What does that mean?
Eva: Think of your age. Did you really want to get married so young? I’m sure they made you get married so they could have a grandson. Ferit tells Gulce that her friend seems to have a lot of information. She tells him she knew they would be a good couple.
Ferit tells her nothing is going to happen here. Eva gets very close and asks if he is sure. Doesn’t he want to try her?

This was quite an episode. There was some fun bantering between Seyran and Ferit that was overshadowed by Yusuf’s lie. What a total jerk!!! I felt so bad for Seyran with this betrayal. He needs to go back to Antep.

Ifakat is scheming to have Suna produce a kid for Fuat. I knew this was probably her plan, but she’s drawing Orhan in. No respect for Gulgun. Suna needs to be with Abidin, IMO.

If Pelin is headed to the nightclub, fireworks may result!

Again, I'm wondering if I understood something correctly or if my Spanish is disappearing! As I watched the episode, it seemed to me that maybe Ignacio (not sure how he'd afford it) or the offspring of El Azufrero paid for César to have sex with one of the women of the evening as a birthday gift. But we also saw César being kissed by Misael. (I think. There are too many young men for me to keep track of their names.)

It surprised me that Miranda and Gustavo were buried on their own land.

Antastasia, you correctly predicted that Renata would have a bad reaction to coming back to "the scene of the crime" where Cocúla and the rest terrorized her.

So Cruz has gone off Leonor because she wears the pants, (said by him literally) and maybe isn't impotent, as they hinted early on.

Remedios! She blundered in and met Renata, when they were trying to make it look like Graciela lived there alone. Renata is too smart for these people. She outright asked why Graciela is living in her parents' house and also why Miranda and Graciela weren't close.

I wonder about the conversation in which it's said that Orhan is Suna's guardian. She's older than Seyran. Is the legal age in Turkey 21? I don't remember hearing there'd be an actual guardian in Halis and Kazim's conversation.

Yes, it now seems that Ifakat plans on Suna getting pregnant and giving the child to Asuman and Fuat to raise. Earlier I thought she planned for Fuat and Suna to be in love and for there to be a divorce. The actor playing Ifakat is doing a great job at being a schemer. Interesting thought about her feeling motherly toward Suna. I do remember her choosing Suna in the baths,

So the poisonous Kazim dropped some venom into Ferit's ears. And Ferit just couldn't let it go. He does want Seyran in his bed, but it's pretty immature of him to try to nag her into it.

I suppose they're going with Yusuf and Dicle becoming an item. I'm with you, Babachita. Send his hindquarters back to Antep with no job. I HOPE he believed Seyran's saying she didn't love him.

Abidin is such a great guy. At least he was there for the whole nightclub visit. He's prepared for another diabetic problem should Ferit's drinking bring one on.

Things are about to get tense at the club.

Gulsan tells Eda it’s getting late, we should go. Ferit tells the girls that Abidin will take them home. Gulsan says they’ll take a taxi. She gives Ferit a friendly hug and kiss goodnight. Ferit goes to shake Eda’s hand. She leans in and says, are you sure you don’t want to try me out?

Pelin arrives at the club and spots Ferit and Eda. She makes her way over. What’s going on, Ferit? He’s surprised to see her. What are you doing here? She says, so you can go out but I can’t? Who are these girls? Abidin tries to take Pelo aside. Pelo wants an introduction to Ferit’s friends.

Eda introduces herself and thinks that Pelo is Ferit’s wife and says, he spoke about you tonight. Ferit tries to explain, she’s not… she’s… Pelo jumps in—I’m a close friend. Tell me something, if you know he’s married, why are you flirting with him? Gulsan tells Ferit, I think we should leave before something happens. Eda takes exception. Wait a minute? Flirting? What kind of words are these? Abi tries to take Pelo away to get fresh air.

Pelo says that Eda is the only one who needs air. Gulsan tells Pelo to back off and calm down. Eda asks, if you’re not his wife, then who are you? Maybe you are his guardian sister. Ferit is amused by this. Pelo answers back, if you really need to know… I can tell you, but outside. I can’t hear you here.

Ferit’s friends follow Pelo out. Ferit and Abi grab their stuff and follow. Ferit wants Pelo to stop this nonsense. Have you lost your mind? Nothing happened. You should apologize. Pelo refuses to apologize to this tramp. [Thems fightin’ words.]

The ladies argue with Ferit standing in the middle. Pelo calls Eda out—I saw you, you were hanging all over him! Ferit tries to apologize on behalf of Pelo. She’s had an upsetting day. Pelo keeps shouting, and Ferit grabs her—that’s enough! It gets physical and Ferit has to separate Pelo and Eda.

A guy is there taking photos of them. Abi spots him. Ferit quickly sends Gulsan and Eda away. Abi runs after the photog. Ferit is angry with Pelo.

Abi catches up with the photog as he gets in his car. Give me the camera! Now! The guy shows his press pass. He’s just doing his job. Don’t harass me, he says, don’t complicate things. Abi tries reasoning. That photo will cause problems for us. We can make a deal. The guy isn’t willing. He waited 3 hours at the entrance. Your boss turned this night into something profitable. Abi keeps trying. He wants to go sit at a nearby restaurant to work things out.

Abi returns to Ferit and Pelo. He tells them he couldn’t get the camera. Ferit worries that grandpa will kill him. He’s done for. Pelo tells Abi to find a way to work it out. She’ll be dead, too if her family finds out. Ferit is ticked because Pelo’s actions caused this problem.

Pelo turns it back on him. Don’t play the victim. You married because your grandpa forced you and I went along with it. You walked around with her, and I accepted it. You brought her sister to my house, and I accepted that too! I accepted everything and kept quiet! I have to say you misunderstood me!

What did I misunderstand, Ferit asks. She says, I accepted everything because I love you, and in the end, you didn’t give me any choice but to accept. What were you doing tonight? You went partying with those girls.

Ferit responds, you are the one causing the problems! Why are we even talking about this now? I made this clear from the start. Three years… that was the deal, remember? You knew exactly what kind of relationship I offered you. This is who I am, Pelin. You need to understand that. I go out when I want, do what I want!

Abi jumps in—stop arguing! It won’t solve anything! Listen, the reporter promised he won’t publish anything for now. Ferit doesn’t trust that. Neither does Pelo. Ferit and Pelo start arguing again over who’s at fault. Pelo finally grabs her bag and goes.

Ferit and Abi arrive home. Ferit checks his phone. Abi still thinks the guy won’t publish the photos. Ferit wants him to contact the guy and take care of it. Abi says let’s hope the guy wants to negotiate.

Ferit sees that the light is still on in Ifakat’s room. He can’t take the chance of her catching him. He opts for the ladder entrance. Yusuf is making his rounds—Pelin, is that you? Yusuf shines his light on Ferit. Ferit asks, what did you say? Yusuf wonders why Ferit doesn’t have a key to get in.

Why do you care, Ferit replies, and why did you call me Pelin? Yusuf says he caught her going up the other day. Ferit warns Yusuf not to bother him, or he will make life impossible. Do whatever you want, Yusuf answers, your choices will make my Seyran come back to me. Ferit scoffs, and you dare to say “my Seyran.” Shameless.

Does that hurt you, Yusuf asks. It didn’t, Ferit replies and he grabs Yusuf by the collar. I’m not that easily offended. You need to understand that I never lose. You need to understand your place, and you better fear me, okay? Ferit tightens Yusuf’s tie real tight.

Yusuf responds, you want me to fear you the way you fear your grandfather? No, Ferit says, you could never go that far because you are nothing but a coward. Such a coward that you didn’t even dare run away with her. I won’t fall into your trap, Yusuf says, I know Seyran still loves me and I love her. She doesn’t want to be with you. They forced her to get married. Doesn’t that make you think? And it makes you crazy because you know she doesn’t love you. You can’t imagine, Ferit answers, it drives me crazy. Ferit lets himself in. Seyran has left a note for him. “Ifakat asked about you and Latif knocked on the door. I handled it.” Ferit smiles. He looks at Seyran’s drawing she left on the table. Then looks at her sleeping on the couch. He sits on the chair next to her and watches her sleep. He slides off the chair and leans over her. Closer… closer… He hovers over her. You know he would love to kiss her. But he sighs, gets up and walks away. Seyran opens her eyes. She sighs then closes them again.

When Seyran wakes up in the morning, she sees Ferit has spent the night in the chair next to her. Now she watches him sleep. She coughs, trying to wake him up. She gets her clothes. More coughing. He stays asleep. She marches to the bathroom and slams the door. He startles awake. Seyran? Feeling the effects of sleeping in the chair, he hobbles to the bathroom. He knocks…Seyran? Yes, she answers, be patient!

Ferit goes for his phone and calls Abi. He says, the reporter texted me and asked me to meet him at a café. I’m here waiting now. Ferit replies, please convince him. It’s important. Abi thinks he wouldn’t have contacted him if he wasn’t interested in negotiating. Ferit says to accept whatever he asks for. Even a large amount of money. Ferit feels there’s no choice. If the photos are published, his family and Seyran’s family will see them.

Seyran comes out of the bathroom. Ferit puts on a bit of an act. She quips, things didn’t go well last night? Are you tired? He replies, nothing exhausts me as much as you do. My whole body hurts from sleeping crooked. She answers, it wouldn’t if you’d slept in the bed instead of watching me.

Very funny, Ferit says. When I arrived, you were on the couch. I thought you might have done something to the bed. Otherwise, would you have done something so human? Seyro retorts, a person judges others by himself, right Ferit? Nothing is ever good enough for you. Focus on yourself, because you have become obsessed with me lately.

Ferit mocks, excellent! Excellent! I love your imagination. You’d make a good writer. You should write a script, they could turn it into a movie. Interesting, she replies, I could write about you with the subtitle: the following story is based on real events. [lol, this is the disclaimer for Yali Capkini! I can explain later.] What do you think? Seyro thinks… nah… no good… no one would believe it. The main character is such an idiot.

Ferit replies if you wrote about yourself, maybe they’d think the same thing. She wanted to run away with a good for nothing but in the end, he chickened out and she goes crazy. Abi negotiates with the photog. The situation was not what it seemed. It was a misunderstanding. Okay, the guy says, my editor will know before publishing. But you don’t understand this is my job and you should respect that.

Abi explains that Ferit just got married. If you publish this, it will be misinterpreted. This will cause us a big problem. Gossip will circulate. The guy doesn’t care. This is his line of work. Let people think whatever they want. This isn’t just anybody. This is Ferit Korhan. No one will believe that he’s innocent. I get it, Abi replies, that’s why I want to offer you something. Sell me your story… tell me your price. So we can both win.

Seyfer look very mopey at the table. Asuman asks Seryan if she’s okay. Orhan asks Ifakat what’s going on with Dad? He hasn’t come to the table lately. She says he was in pain last night, but Latif said he’s feeling better now. Gulgun comments, as we get older, we start to withdraw. Ifakat answers, what do you expect? Every time he comes to the table, he hears about a new problem.

Ferit’s phone rings. Ifakat asks him to turn it off. You know you can’t have a phone here. He tells her he brought it because this is important. He excuses himself to take the call. Abi gives him the bad news. He couldn’t convince the guy. I told him I’d give him whatever he wanted, but he refused. Talk to your father asap. If we let time pass, the story will come out. Ferit asks, what if I talk to him directly? Abi says the bomb is about to explode. That’s why your father should know. Otherwise, it will be worse.

Ferit returns to the table. Orhan asks, what was so important? Ferit asks to speak with Orhan away from the table. Gulgun is alarmed. Did something bad happen? She turns to Seyran. Seyro has no idea. Fuat asks, too. Ifakat wants Ferit to talk now. Ferit says he wants to speak with his dad privately.

Ifakat says his problem is a family problem. It concerns all of them. Gulgun steps in, my son wants to talk to his father, why do they need your permission? Words are exchanged until Orhan shouts—Enough! Orhan tells Ferit—Go ahead. I’m listening. Ferit begins, well... this time I’m actually not the one at fault. Fuat pipes up, you’re never at fault. Everyone else is thinking the same.

Ferit continues, I went out last night with Abidin. I couldn’t sleep and I was bored. Seyran was sleeping and I didn’t want to wake her. So I decided to go out. We went to a club. Pelin was there with another girl. They were arguing. I went to see what was happening. After all, Pelin has been my friend since uni. I didn’t want to leave her like this. It escalated and we went outside. It was a disaster.

Gulgun asks, what did you do? I separated them, Ferit replies, they wanted to fight in the street. Seyro asks why did they fight? He says he doesn’t know. Women issues. I separated them and they kept struggling, the press was there and took pictures. Herkes etkileniyor = Todos impactados.

Dicle prepares some bread and butter with honey for Yusuf and proceeds to feed him. Sultan enters the kitchen with Carlos. She shouts—what are you doing, Dicle! What are you doing with him! They jump up from the table. Dicle sputters, mom… no… we’re not doing anything. Yusuf tries to speak, Sultan shuts him up. Go do your job. Leave! The guys leave.

Sultan turns to Dicle. What happened? You’re going to drive me crazy! Calm down, Dicle replies, he came in to wash his hands, and I offered him something to eat. Sultan snaps back, he’s not family, so you don’t serve him! He’s a grown man who can fend for himself. Dicle says, I think you misunderstood. Sultan is livid. Lately everyone is confused! Get out of here and get to work girl! She pushes her daughter.

Ferit continues to explain. Abidin and I did whatever we could, but we couldn’t convince him. He didn’t delete the photos. I have nothing left to say, Orhan tells Ferit, the day has come when you left me speechless. Ifakat looks at Seyran, I don’t believe you either. Seyro asks, what did I do? Ferit went out and got photographed, but you don’t believe me? What do you mean?

Gulgun defends Seyran. So does Ferit. She knew nothing. It’s not her fault. And I told you, this wasn’t my fault. Try to understand. Orhan wants to know what Ferit was doing outside of the house at that time of night. [keep your cheating inside like me, son.] I told you, Ferit replies, I went out because I was feeling bad. I felt suffocated at home. What was I supposed to do?

Orhan interrupts—you shouldn’t have done anything! This is a yali. Go out on the terrace! Go out to the garden! Every time you feel bad, will we have to pick you up from the street?! Asuman enters the convo. I know you’re all nervous right now, but grandpa isn’t well and I hope he hasn’t heard you. His condition won’t improve.

Ifakat is adamant that Halis must not find out. She asks Ferit if he knows for sure if the photos will be published. He doesn’t know. Abidin couldn’t convince the man. Orhan says now they have to keep grandpa free from stress. You should have at least thought about him, if not us. He mocks, oh poor Ferit Efendi was suffocating!

Ferit tells his father that’s enough. Don’t take it out on me. Shame on those who brought me to this state. Ferit turns to look at Seyran. Gulgun asks who brought you to this, son? Ferit answers, life. Orhan tells him, we have to control ourselves when we face difficulty. Why don’t we lose our temper? Why are we careful with this? When something bad happens, we are careful! He bangs the table ala Halis. Why don’t you understand and why can’t you control yourself?

Gulgun asks Orhan to calm down. It’s done. Let’s think about how to fix this. Orhan asks Ifakat to keep this from Halis. He will figure something out. She says she’s supposed to go shopping with Suna, should she postpone it? Orhan has an idea. Let Seyran and Ferit take her. Make up an excuse why you can’t go.

Asuman asks Seyran, what would happen if your family found out about this? Seyro says her father won’t react well. It’s hard to know exactly. Nothing like this has happened before. It’s better if he doesn’t see the photo and instead reads an article. Fuat agrees. A photo could be misinterpreted.

Orhan gets up from the table and takes Fuat with him. He tells Ferit they will talk later. Gulgun leaves too. Orhan tells her to make sure Ifakat is fully informed, so she doesn’t miss anything. Father mustn’t find out. Gulgun says, remember Pelin? I want to call her and ask her to come and talk. He replies, if you think it will help, do it.

Hattuc isn’t feeling well and Esme is massaging her shoulders. Kazim is reading the paper. He orders Esme to get him water. His phone rings. It’s Orhan. Brief convo. Kazim is excited and says that Orhan wants to show him some land. And Halis wants Suna to go shopping with Seyran. Halis asked so I had to accept.

Kazim asks Esme to hand him the glass. She spills some of it. He rises to his feet. How could someone be so clumsy? She cowers. He smiles, go get some napkins, please. Both ladies are surprised at his response. Hattuc says Esme expected to be hit. No, not now, Kazim replies, she needs to learn not to cry, or she’ll end up going crazy. It doesn’t hurt to be cautious.

Hattuc quips, are you afraid she’ll hit you over the head with the frying pan? Kazim worries, do you think she could? [I think she should.] She’s crazy… and I sleep next to her. I even thought she might poison my food. She’s dangerous.

Esme bring napkins. Kazim tells her not to touch him but clean the water from the floor. Dry everything without touching me.

Orhan is calling someone from the car. Yes, Ali Bey. Let’s not have people talk over a misunderstanding. Yes, it’s sensitive. That would be excellent. I’ll wait for your call. Fuat asks what happened. Orhan says the reporter who took the photo is named Taylan. Ali knows him and says he’ll try to talk to the newspaper, but he couldn’t promise anything.

Fuat notes that Ferit didn’t do anything terrible with those girls. Orhan says that doesn’t matter. You know how people are. My father will be furious, and Kazim Bey… imagine how he will complain. Even with the land he’s getting, Fuat asks. Orhan knows he will demand more. He’ll says this is a disgrace, his aunt is ill, his wife is devastated, he’s humiliated… on and on…

I’m glad you realize what kind of man he is, Fuat says. Orhan replies, he’s realized what we’re like, too. He’s very greedy. Orhan places his hand on his son’s. Fuat, you are truly a good son. You never cause us problems. You’re the only one I can rely on. Fuat thanks him. It’s true, Orhan says, I never have to worry about you.

Seyfer go to their room. Seyro asks, so those girls fought over nothing? You know it wasn’t for nothing, Ferit replies, those girls were fighting over me. I couldn’t say that to my family. She asks, what did you do? Tell me. Why did they fight? Pelin got mad because you cheated on her?

Ferit says, when you made me angry last night… she interrupts—I made you angry last night? You called Yusuf to come and asked him something so obscene and distasteful. And now you say I made you angry? Enough, he says, whether you made me angry or I made myself angry, I left and I went to a club in Bebek with Abidin. I just wanted to listen to some music, have a drink and relax.

Seyran asks, why did you go there instead of to Pelin’s?

And we are out.

Great summary Dondi! Thanks for the link. I like that song very much! Your asides were wonderful! The frying pan for Kazim and Orhan keeping his cheating at home stood out!

I could tell that Eda (Eva) and Pelin weren’t going to be a good thing. What would they do without Abidin? He is wise beyond his years. But I doubt the photographer will blink.

It was nice Fuat got some praise from his father.

Lobo

Miércoles Antonia pleads with Eugenio to understand that he’s wrong about Lobo. He is furious, reminding me of the awful guy he played in La Reina del Sur. Antonia flat out tells him she loves Lobo. His reply is that she’s not his daughter anymore.

The evil younger prisoners jump Eugenio since he’s lost Dante’s protection.

Graciela and Cruz finish their cozy lunch, and he plants a kiss on her on their way out. Graciela says that he’s married. [That didn’t bother her when she was cheating with her sister’s husband.]

Lobo saves Eugenio from the thugs. They admire Lobo, especially for getting rid of Dante. Eugenio is not grateful. The chubby guy who now works for Cruz instead of Dante tells the main guard not to snatch Lobo’s phone. They might get some information.

César convinces his brother Ignacio to come home to Casa Cruz.

Graciela comes home, and Renata is not in her room.

Cruz and El Az talk about Lobo knowing the route to the big bucks. El Az wants to beat it out of him. Cruz says that he knows Lobo. He’s a loner, so no family to threaten. And he isn’t afraid to die.

Renata meets Misael and Oscar García, El Az’s sons and likes them.

Antonia shows up after learning that Graciela left Renata alone (she thought).

Adela tells Hugo she’s enthusiastic about a job at the Fiscalía that wouldn’t interfere with her status as a defense attorney.

The Cruz boys come home, and César erupts at the sight of Carlo, the PR guy.

Graciela gets another text from “Miranda”. She shows it to Antonia. In his cell, Lobo gets one also. They’re dropping lots of hints that perhaps Miranda didn’t die.

The awful Pablo comes into the women’s dressing room to threaten Sué and to try to force himself on her. She hits him with a lamp and runs. She calls Ignacio, who says he’ll come for her

César tells Leonor that he knows about the affair.

El Az again tells Graciela that Antonia is a danger to him and to his family. He says something about her not leaving him, nor betraying him. Graciela is in a pickle.

Antonia tells her grandmother, Guillermina, about the argument with her father. She reacts just like her son did regarding Lobo.

Eugenio blabs to the chubby spy about Lobo and Antonia. Oops. The guy is working for Cruz.

Leonor tells Carlo to kick rocks.

El Az tells Graciela about Gustavo having been the money launderer for criminals. He says that the money he earned was around $500,000,000. He then tells her the way to find it is in her niece’s eyes.

*Eugenio: ARE YOU STUPID? Didn't you know that Fat Guy is a spy for Slippery Cruz & that you indirectly just put Antonia in danger?
