Episode 33 #1 of 8

“The Threat”

At the yali, Seyran follows Ferit into their attic room. She wants to know what the girls in the picture were fighting about. Ferit tells her they were fighting over him but he couldn’t tell his family. She wants to know what happened. She asks if Pelin was angry because he was lying to her.
Ferit: When you upset me last night,…
Seyran: I upset you? You called Yusuf to come here and asked him the most immoral and tasteless question. And now you’re saying I’m the one that upset you last night?
He tells her he left upset, no matter whose fault it was. He went with Abidin to a club. He says he just wanted to have fun, listen to music, have a beer, relax.
Seyran: Why did you go there instead of to Pelin’s?
Ferit: Because I didn’t want anything. I didn’t want to talk to her. Is that OK? Are you satisfied?
Seyran: And, then what happened?
Ferit: Then I ran into Gulce, a friend who lives in New York. I said hi, and she was with a friend of hers. They asked if they could hang out, and I said yes to be nice. And then Pelin appeared out of nowhere, and she was mad. She got angry about something she saw and misinterpreted.
Seyran: What did she see and misinterpret, Ferit?
Ferit: It was nothing special, Seyran. I was chatting with Gulce’s friend, Eda. The music was loud, and she leaned in to whisper, and that’s when... (Ferit has trouble getting these words out)… when Pelin came out of nowhere and she was furious. She ruined our night. This isn’t my fault. I told them I was married. I even showed them the ring. I promise. I must admit the ring works. (Ferit gives a smirky smile at this.)
Seyran: I don’t believe this! I don’t know how you can be so relaxed about this. You sound so proud! Don’t you feel ashamed?
Ferit: Being relaxed is not a bad thing. It’s normal. I didn’t do anything. I didn’t start this scandal. I only tried to fix it.
Seyran: And you want praise for this? Congratulations, Ferit Korhan.
Ferit: I deserve praise, Seyran Korhan. Congratulate me. My father’s nervous. And honestly, I get why. My grandfather got me married to avoid this sort of news, and I’ll be in trouble if he finds out about this.
Seyran: Maybe your grandfather could see getting married didn’t work, and he’d let me go. What do you say? You think he’d give me freedom?
Ferit: What freedom? You want to split up? You want to return to your father? Your hometown? Or do you want to return to your ex, that coward, Yusuf?
Seyran: Leave off Yusuf for one day! I wish I had the words to repeat them. I hope this gets worse. I wish! I hope they publish those photos in every newspaper.
Seyran stomps out to the patio. Ferit follows her.
Ferit: Why do you want that? You’re ungrateful. Don’t you think your problems affect me too? Why do you think I care?
Seyran: For my sister.
Ferit: That’s what you think? I don’t care about your sister! Why do you say that? I do all this for you. So you can be happy. I do it so you won’t be sad.
Seyran: I wish you’d stop trying to make me happy.
Ferit: Well, you don’t know what happiness is. You need to fight. You need pain and suffering. That’s all you know. You’re uncomfortable otherwise.
Seyran nods: Maybe so. I only deserve suffering. It’s my destiny. It’s true. I can’t be happy. I’m used to it.

Episode 33 #2 of 8
Ferit leaves her and goes back into the attic. Seyran is thinking about what he said and begins to cry. Seyran follows him downstairs. Ferit is stopped by Ifakat on his way down the stairs. She wants to talk. He asks if it’s about his father. She says no, it’s about something else. Ferit goes to Ifakat’s room and Seyran continues down the stairs. She tells Ferit that Asli contacted her and that he doesn’t have to pay for anything. She gives him a card. [Who is Asli I ask?] She tells him that if Suna wants something else, she can have it. Ferit asks if that is why she called him in. She tells him she hired someone to take their picture leaving the store. She tells him he needs to take Seyran’s hand and smile. He asks why she is doing all this. She says it will get to the press, and everyone will see how happy his marriage is. That will let the family see how well things are going with them. He tells her she is very astute and that it’s a good plan. He congratulates her and leaves.

Ferit and Seyran walk to their vehicle where Abidin is waiting. Seyran doesn’t seem very happy. Abidin asks if everything is OK. Ferit tells him he hopes his father can fix this and that he told Seyran what happened [sort of, I think]. They are going to pick up Suna and go to Nisantasi.
As they reach the gate to leave, there is a taxi waiting with…Pelin!
Ferit: What’s she doing here?
Seyran: No idea. No!
Ferit starts to get out and Abidin tries to stop him, knowing it’s not a good idea. The taxi drives off, leaving Ferit and Pelin in front of Abidin with Seyran in the SUV.
Ferit: What are you doing here?
Pelin: Gulgun asked me to come over and talk.
Ferit, incredulously: My mother called you?
Pelin: She didn’t tell you?
Ferit: No, she didn’t, but I don’t know why you didn’t either.
Pelin: Ferit, calm down. I thought she told you.
Ferit: Did she tell you why?
Pelin: She didn’t, but I’ll find out now. I’ll send you a text.
Abidin, very concerned: Ferit, we have to go!
Ferit tells her to send a text and gets in the SUV.
Seyran, to Pelin as she walks by: I’m not used to seeing you here. That’s why I didn’t say hi. Excuse me.
Pelin doesn’t answer and heads to the Yali. Seyran looks impactada.
As they drive toward their destination, Ferit says to Abidin that this all feels like one big joke. His mother invited Pelin to the yali without telling him. Abidin tells him to calm down, that she must have a reason. Everyone’s trying to fix this. Seyran says it’s incredible and feels like a bad joke. Seyran: Now it feels like I really have a place in this family. It’s like no one cares. I ask myself sometimes where did destiny mean for me to end up? I’m really curious. What are they going to talk about? If I was there, I’d ask if I can join their lovely tea party and talk. The three of us could talk about life and her son.
Abidin listens and looks stressed.
Ferit: What a disgrace. Again, the same. You blame me for no reason, and I only wanted to help. You saw what happened and they don’t believe me. Now she invited Pelin. Why would she disrespect me? But I know how to fix it.
Ferit reaches for his phone. Alarmed, Abidin asks him what he’s doing, who he’s calling. What are you going to say?
Ferit: Enough Abidin.
Abidin: Listen, your mom knows what she’s doing. I’m sure she has a reason and wouldn’t do anything to affect you.
Ferit: The problem is I don’t even know what’s happening. I wish I knew what she wanted.

Episode 33 #3 of 8

In the yali, Pelin is sitting with Gulgun in her room. Carlos serves them coffee and Gulgun dismisses him after and asks him to close the door. Gulgun tells Pelin to relax and asks how she is doing. Pelin tells her she is fine and her family as well. Pelin asks Gulgun how she is feeling.
Gulgun: How do you think I feel after that incident? I’m nervous. Listen, Ferit told me everything. That’s why I want to talk to you. Don’t misunderstand me. I’m not trying to question or judge you. It’s like getting advice from a sister or a mother. Do you understand what I mean?
Pelin: Yes.
Gulgun: I’m sure it was just a reaction. I understand. If anyone’s at fault, I’m sure it was my son. I’m sure you meant to end things the day he decided to marry, but he couldn’t.
Pelin: Listen, I hope you don’t misunderstand me, but that wasn’t Ferit’s decision. You know that, and I don’t think it’s fair to him or me. You should know I’ve been with him for three years. When his grandfather decided to marry him off, he came to explain everything to me. I was very surprised. I didn’t believe it at first. When I finally accepted it, it was very hard. But I never showed it because he was sad too, and I wasn’t prepared.
Gulgun: It is sad. It was a difficult process for everyone.
Pelin: I want you to know I love Ferit very much. He’s my first love. He’s been the only man in my life. As his mother, I think you’re the only one who can understand. Better than anyone, you know what it is to love Ferit unconditionally. That’s how I feel. Sometimes, I’d dream about the day he’d ask me to marry him, and if I ever got pregnant, I’d name the baby Berk. I know it’s childish, but that’s what I dreamed of.
Gulgun reaches out and holds Pelin’s hand.
Pelin continues: I haven’t woken up one day without thinking about how much I’d love to be with Ferit all the time. When I fall asleep, when I wake up. My whole life is planned for him. The vacations I take, the trips I want to make. I come to see him before I visit my family.
Gulgun is starting to cry.
Pelin: Ferit’s more important than my mother or my father or any other relative.
Gulgun: But that’s not good, Pelin.
Pelin: Good or bad, that’s how I feel. Ferit gives me a reason to live. How can I cut him out of my life so abruptly? When I love him more than anyone in my life? When he is my life? That’s impossible.
Pelin breaks down in tears.
Gulgun: Pelin?
Pelin: Look, I love Ferit as he is. We grew up together. I remember all the things we lived through and discovered together. We cried and laughed together. I remember the first time we got drunk together and vomited. I swear, I have never wanted to be with someone that isn’t him. I never wanted to pressure him either. I was blindsided when he told me he was getting married. I never expected that. I couldn’t abandon him. I couldn’t forget our relationship or leave him, not for a decision he didn’t make. What would you do if that happened to your own daughter? I know my mother’s heart would break, and my father would be devastated. But that’s the situation. I can’t end it. It would be like abandoning my reason and my heart. Ferit is my whole life, Gulgun.
Gulgun: Pelin, darling, I understand. You’re young and beautiful and charming. I know you have a wonderful life ahead of you, I’m sure of it. You have a great family. They sent you to the best schools and got you the best education. You should try to continue with your life. Ferit is married now. Look at me. I want you to know I respect what you’re feeling. I’m grateful you have such trust in me. You have such happy memories.
Pelin: I do.
Gulgun continues: And I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for taking care of Ferit. But that doesn’t change that Ferit’s a married man now. I don’t want to hurt your feelings, but if you don’t end it now, you’ll suffer forever. I’m sure you’ll get your dream of marriage. You’ll have a family.

Episode 33 #4 of 8
Your future will be happier if you keep moving forward without clinging to the past. It just won’t be with Ferit. You’ll meet someone who deserves you. If you continue like this, you and Ferit will suffer until you break up. I hope you understand, but there’s no other option. This must end.
Pelin: Gulgun, listen, …
Gulgun: You can see it as a great sacrifice, for your own good, and his. You have to be strong, Pelin.
Pelin is very impactada.

The SUV continues on its way. They’ve picked up Suna. She asks if something has happened. She notices that no one has said anything. Their faces are all glum.
Suna: Is there trouble at home? What happened? Why won’t you tell me, Seyran?
Seyran: Not a day goes by without trouble.
Ferit gets a call from Orhan. Ferit starts to smile. He tells his father he is the best! Ferit tells him he will be more careful from now on. After hanging up, Ferit tells Abidin that Orhan talked to the boss of the guy with the pictures. They won’t publish the story after all. Abidin doesn’t look totally convinced. Suna wants the story from Seyran.

Later, Ferit, Seyran, and Suna are shopping. Ferit has a little green number with one strap that he tells Seyran he thinks she would look nice in. Seyran tells him they are there for Suna. He makes a face and puts it to the side. Suna comes in smiling in a navy dress. She is thrilled and reminds Seyran how nothing like that was available in Antep. Ferit comes in and tells her it looks good on her. Seyran tells him no one asked his opinion. He tells her she is jealous and reminds her he told her to buy a dress, too. The attendant brings another dress for Suna to try. Suna tells Seyran to stop insulting Ferit. She tells her he is innocent this time. Seyran says that only on this occasion does she believe him, but he doesn’t deserve it. Meanwhile, Ferit is making a call to Pelin. Pelin is riding home in a taxi, revisiting the conversation with Gulgun. She sees Ferit’s call and turns it off. She shuts her phone off. Ferit continues to enjoy the fashion show at the store. They finally leave the store with many boxes. On the way out, Ferit reminds Seyran the press is there and they should hold hands and smile. The reporters ask a million questions about children, etc. Ferit says they haven’t had time yet. He tells them Suna is his wife’s sister. Abidin helps Suna to the other side and into the SUV. Safely in the SUV, Seyran comments that the reporters came like a big tour group.
Ferit: It’s their job, Seyran. It’s normal.
Seyran: You should have warned me before.
Ferit: Famous people always go there, and they wait.
Suna: What if Dad finds out?
Seyran: I don’t think he’ll get mad. We followed his instructions. We didn’t do anything irresponsible. He knew.
Ferit: Besides, your husband was with you.
Suna: That’s true. But what if someone from Antep talks?
Ferit: What difference would that make? It’s the same.
Seyran: It’s not the same.
Ferit: Incredible. Disgrace is in the air. Not one day without problems. Not one peaceful day.
Seyran: We can’t have a peaceful day because of you.
Ferit: What does that mean?
Seyran: Who stressed us out all morning?
Ferit: Who got us into this problem in the first place? Do you recall?
Seyran: I’ll never forget. Don’t worry.
Suna: Calm down. Now I regret asking. Wouldn’t you rather stop fighting and go somewhere relaxing to have a good time? Some tea and ice cream would fix our moods, what do you say?
Ferit: No, Suna, I’m not in the mood. We’ll do it some other day. Let’s go back home.
Seyran exchanges glances with Suna in apology.
Ferit: I don’t want today to be longer. I don’t want problems.
Abidin asks for directions. Ferit tells him to drop him and Seyran at the yali and then to take Suna home.
Abidin gets a call from Taylan, the reporter. Abidin says he probably knows by now. Ferit tells him not to answer and to hang up. That Orhan already dealt with him.
Abidin asks if he’s sure. What if he has something to say?

Episode 33 #5 of 8
Ferit tells him not to answer it, that his father already handled it and that it doesn’t matter what he wants, it’s done. Ferit tells him if he talks to him now, he could get upset.
We see the girls leaning on one another in the back seat with sad faces.
Abidin tells him he might be right.

At the yali, Dicle lets Ferit and Seyran in the front door. She tells them a big box arrived. Dicle thinks it is a tennis table and says she will put it in the cellar. She also tells them Gulgun wants to see them on the terrace. Seyran tells him he should go and talk seriously with his mother. She is going to their attic. Ferit asks if she really isn’t going to say hi. Seyran tells him she needs to figure out why she invited Pelin over. She tells him not to keep his mother waiting.
Farit (to himself): My patience is wearing thin. He goes on the patio and greets his mother. She asks where Seyran is.
Ferit: She wanted to rest and it’s better if we talk alone.
Gulgun: Have a seat, son. How did it go?
Ferit: I don’t want to sit. Can you tell me why you invited Pelin without telling me? What were you thinking? Are you crazy?
Gulgun tells him to calm down: She only came to talk and I counseled her. Why are you upset?
Ferit: You decided that yourself? What did you say to her?
Gulgun: Ferit, calm down. You are talking to your mother. I thought I could ignore what was happening. I thought it would end gradually, but you never learn. Understand that this ends right now.
Ferit: What does that mean? I don’t understand.
Gulgun: Respect your mother, or I’ll rip your tongue out.
Ferit: You respect me. This relationship isn’t your concern.
Gulgun: How dare you. Of course it concerns me. Remember that you married Seyran. She’s your wife. Be responsible.
Ferit, clapping his hands: Bravo, Mom, congratulations. You’re so responsible. You didn’t even let me know. Why didn’t you meet her outside? Seyran saw her at the entrance. That’s responsible?
Gulgun: Bravo, son. I invited her so if your grandfather saw that photo, she would just be your friend.
Ferit: I don’t understand why you didn’t tell me. I could have handled it. What advice did you give her? She won’t answer the phone.
Gulgun: I only told her what she needed to hear.
Ferit: I wish you did it better.
He walks back inside.

Suna is looking out the window of the SUV and exchanging looks with Abidin.
Abidin: There’s a place I know, if that’s OK.
Suna: A place?
Abidin: A place with ice cream and tea. That’s what you told your sister you wanted.
Suna: I need to be back early.
Abidin: There’s no traffic, and the place is close, if you want to. If you prefer, I can take you home. You decide, miss.
Suna thinks about this, and Abidin tells her he understands and will take her home.
Suna: No, no! Let’s go there.
Abidin has a smile!!!
They eat their ice cream outside. Suna smiles. She tells him she like the place because it’s very tranquil. He offers, if she is uncomfortable, that they can leave. He tells her they can come back another day. She tells him no, that she is fine. She tells him not to misunderstand her, but that she doesn’t want Seyran and Ferit to know they came. Abidin tells her they won’t know.

Suna: They seem closer as a couple. What do you think?
Abidin: At the end of the day, they’re a couple.
Suna: They need it. Do you think someday they’ll be man and wife?
Abidin: I think so. It looks impossible now. Love makes the impossible possible.
Suna: I don’t know. I’ve never been in love.
Abidin tells her neither has he.
They smile at one another.

It’s night. Seyran’s alarm goes off. She is napping on the couch.
Ferit comes out of the bathroom and tells her to get up, get going. She is always falling asleep. She tells him it is her way of escaping her reality. He tells her whatever, just how you couldn’t escape your father’s house.
Seyran: I suppose that was worse.
Ferit: Relax. The idiot you wanted to run away with is in the garden. Go try again. You’ve got a second chance.
Seyran: I just woke up and you’re already talking about Yusuf.
Ferit: I’m just saying what you’re thinking.
Seyran: What joy. It’s late and your news has been forgotten. Now your true self is back.
Ferit: What is that supposed to mean?
Seyran: You know. Look at you, Ferit Korhan. His last name is enough. There’s no other explanation. The insult is clear enough.
Ferit’s phone rings. He answers: Tell me, Fuat. He tells Fuat it’s OK. He’s going. He’ll be right down.
Ferit leaves quickly.
In the living room, Fuat and Orhan are standing. Orhan: Damn it. Alright, goodbye.
Ferit runs to join them: What is it, brother?
Orhan makes a call as Ifakat joins them.
Orhan: Hello Selim. I need to find someone but his phone’s off. It’s reporter, Taylan Gulan. I don’t know what outlet he works for, but I’ll send it to you. It’s urgent. I need to reach him urgently, OK? I’ll wait.
Ferit now had a look of concern on his face: Papa, what happened?
Orhan: When his boss told him not to publish it, he quit.
Ferit: Are you joking? Has he published it yet?
Fuat: We’re checking and he hasn’t yet.
Ferit sits. Ifakat says they need to do something urgently, right now.
Orhan: I called many people and told them to reach me urgently. We just have to wait. I think Abidin can reach him directly. He said he spoke to him. (Orhan’s voice is louder and more stressed with each word.)
Ifakat: Where’s Abidin?
Fuat: He said he’s trying to reach the reporter.
Abidin walks in.
Ferit: Did you reach him?
Abidin: He sent me a text.
Orhan: What does he want?
Abidin: I sent him several messages when he turned his phone off, but he didn’t answer. He only read them. I asked if he wanted to meet Ferit himself. He agreed, but he also wants Seyran to go.
Ferit and Ifakat are upset at this!
Orhan wants to know why.
Abidin: He said he’d only negotiate if Seyran goes with Ferit.

Orhan: He wants more. It’s obvious. He wants to write a story about them.
Abidin: I didn’t think he’d stoop so low.
Orhan: We can’t trust him, it’s a possibility.
Fuat (or maybe Orhan): We can’t put Seyuran in a situation like that.
Ifakat: Besides, I don’t think she’s capable of negotiating with him.
Abidin: Fine, what should I do? Should I send him a message?
Ferit: Tell him yes. For tomorrow.
Orhan: Ferit!
Ferit: Papa. We have no other option. At least we know there won’t be anything until tomorrow. What other option is there? Spend all night making sure he doesn’t publish?
Fuat: Would Seyran be willing to help you?
Ferit: I’ll convince her.
Abidin looks at him seriously. Then he asks Orhan what he should do. Orhan agrees to the meeting with Seyran and Ferit. Abidin goes to make the call.
Orhan takes Ferit by the arm: Ferit, listen, he’s unpredictable. You have to watch what you say. And if Seyran goes with you, remind her the type of father she has. She has to watch her every word.
Ferit agrees to do this.

Upstairs, Seyran is drawing. And erasing.
Ferit: Seyran, What are you doing?
Seyran: What happened?
Ferit sits in front of her table: Seyran, the truth is I need your help.
Seyran: Is there any news?
Ferit: As you know, my dad talked to that man’s boss. He convinced him. The reporter ended up resigning. We sent him a message and he wants to meet.
Seyran: Are you going to say what you want?
Ferit: He wants you to come with me tomorrow to talk to him. (Seyran’s eyes are wide open now!) Honestly, I don’t know why but this is our only option. Maybe we can get him to delete those photos.
Seyran: What a disgrace. Why should I help?
Ferit: Come on, do it for me. So he can delete those photos. You wouldn’t help me?
She smiles at him: You look so innocent and helpless when you need my help. Come on, let’s eat downstairs.
“Come, on, follow me,” she says in a deep voice, probably mimicking Ferit.
Ferit: Seyran, my grandpa’s not coming down. If you want, they can bring dinner up and we can plan what to say tomorrow while we eat. What do you say?
Seyran: What if I don’t accept?
Ferit: Allah Allah, Seyran. I don’t believe it. For the first time, you have power in your hands. Why do you do this to me? Do you want me to beg or bleed for you?
Seyran: No, Ferit, it’s not about that. It doesn’t matter if you cry or beg. You have to understand. I won’t lie to that man about my husband or his girlfriend.
Ferit: Seyran, this isn’t just about me. This affects us both.
Seyran: Excuse me? How does this affect me? I don’t understand.

Seyran: That won’t work now. When Dad sees those photos, he won’t see them with me. He’ll see you and go directly to your grandfather, and that doesn’t concern me.
Ferit, frustrated now: Seyran, why are you being so selfish?
Seyran: Selfish? I’m being selfish?
Ferit: Of course you are, Seyran. Don’t you see everything I did for you and your sister, and everything I did to save her?
Seyran: That’s fine, I accept it, I’m not denying it. But I won’t forget what you did yesterday. Don’t you remember how you humiliated me and the situation you put me in? How can you forget it like nothing?
Ferit: Seyran, I didn’t put you in a situation. You did it to yourself because it was your idea.
Seyran: You never get tired, you don’t care at all. Go meet that man and fix it yourself.
Ferit, angry: Look, Seyran. I don’t really want to fight with you. Be careful.
Seyran: Good, get mad. That’s how it feels when people humiliate you unfairly. Don’t you think?
Ferit, clenching his teeth: Look, Seyran. I asked for your help, nicely, and you know it. Don’t be ungrateful. I’m telling you now, you’re coming with me tomorrow.
Seyran: I’m tired of your condescension, so understand, I won’t go with you. You’re going alone.
Ferit stands in a threatening manner, pointing his index finger: Seyran, stop provoking me like that. Enough. You always do this. You act innocent to blame me for everything later.
Seyran: Excuse me? Now everything you did to me is my fault?
Ferit: What are you complaining about? What did I do to you?
She stands to face him.
Seyran: What do you want me to remind you of?
Ferit: Tell me everything. Don’t hold back. Tell me everything I’ve done to you.
Seyran: You constantly put me under pressure. You use psychological warfare whenever you want. When you do help, you shove it in my face and tell me to be grateful. You’re the lowest class of man, you always have been, and since no one’s called you out, you think it’s normal.
Ferit: Listen. I’m a terrible person, I agree. There’s not much to do about it. Now I’ll be even worse than before. If you don’t come with me and convince that idiot to erase the photos, your father will know everything. About Yusuf, that your sister knew about it, that you were with Yusuf before you married me. I’ll tell him everything, got that?
He paces back and forth.
Ferit: What’s the matter? Say something. Aren’t you going to hit me?
Seyran: It’s that I don’t want to touch you. I don’t want to hurt my hand. Don’t you see what you’re threatening me with? How sad. What a shame. I won’t forget this. I won’t.
Ferit: Me neither.
He gets his jacket and leaves. She sits, muy impactada. She is crying and later goes to wash her face.

Episode 33
April 6, 2026

El Lobo is in the hospital, not doing well. Cruz and Azufrero are in his hospital room, trying to get Lobo to tell them where the treasure is, while Lobo struggles just to breathe. They threaten Antonia and Renata. Lobo goes into a medical crisis, and hospital personnel show up. A guard is outside of Lobo's room, as he is a prisoner.

Fer and Santi find out that Lobo is in the hospital. Fer puts on a maintenance disguise and gets into the room past the guard, but Lobo is unconscious.

Antonia and Eugenio are at the old folks home. Guillermina has laid down to take a nap. Antonia and Eugenio go to wake her up and find out that Guillermina has passed away. (They don't know that Leonor had overheard Guillermina earlier telling Eugenio that she was going to publicly accuse licenciado Cruz.) A & E talk to the medical director. They're dubious that she died naturally.

Three days pass.

The results of an autopsy of Guillermina come back. She died of (internal) asphyxiation, but the cause, medicine or other, cannot be determined.

Meanwhile, back at the Cruz manse, Lady Leonor Macbeth is not sleeping well (after possibly/probably killing Guillermina). Leonor sees Sue leave the house. Sue is going to the club to pick up her things. Leonor follows her. In the club, Leonor tells Sue that Sue will be responsible for Nacho losing his family and wealth. She offers Sue a check for $10,000 to leave. (Sorry, I was writing notes, so I don't know if Sue took the check.) Meanwhile, Pablo goes to the Cruz manse to threaten Nacho.

Graciela hires a private investigator to investigate Gustavo. What all was Gustavo involved in? The p.i. sees a pack of cigarettes in Graciela's house. She flat out tells him that the cigarettes belong to El Azufrero.

Lobo is still in the hospital and feeling better. He grabs a phone out of a nurse's pocket, and later uses it to call Renata.

Cruz goes to Antonia's house to offer condolences for the death of Guillermina. And to tell her that he recently put Lobo's DNA, collected at the hospital, at the De la Colina murder crime scene. Antonia says Lobo's DNA wasn't there (weeks ago) when the crime scene was originally examined. Cruz says he will use this "newly found evidence" to put Lobo in maximum security when he gets released from the hospital.

Adela, as Lobo's attorney, and Antonia, disguised as Adela's legal assistant, visit Lobo in the hospital. After an affectionate greeting, they start to discuss Lobo's situation. End episode.

Thanks, Anastasia. Loved Lady Leonor Macbeth. She is such a narcissistic monster. I also thought she did away with Guillermina, but the writers didn't definitely say so. Hated the autopsy result that death could have come from that experimental treatment for dementia. These writers are frustrating me almost nightly. I'm really tired of Cruz and El Az, with the exception that Big Ed, as veterans here have called Yáñez for decades, always makes every scene entertaining.

It was kind of not well explained, but it seems that Cruz somehow managed to arrange Lobo's poisoning just to get him to the hospital for harvesting his DNA. And, of course, also to threaten him with harm to Antonia and/or Renata if he doesn't cough up the details of where the big cache of money is located.

Domenika is doing a good job as Leonor, but her relentless harping on Sué about having been a prostitute is awful. Sué didn't accept the check, at least not yet. Leonor laid in on her dressing table on the way out.

Come on, Fer. Figure out a way to get Lobo out of that hospital. I'm not loving his being a victim for so many episodes.

Ferit told the truth to Seyran about everything that happened at that club, but she continued to assign all the blame to Ferit. I'm starting to be impatient for some kind of at least a truce between these two.

I LOVED Abidin's shy smile when he convinced Suna to have some ice cream and tea.

I guess the Korhan's are such a big deal in Istanbul that it's like the royal family in England. Mobs of reporters are constantly dogging them looking for a big story. The reporter, Taylan, apparently considers the scene outside the nightclub enough of a moneymaker or notch in his belt that he quit his job to try to get it published elsewhere.

El Az finds Leonor at the nightclub and thinks she might be a better partner than Cruz. Misael and César are also there. Misael assures César he’s not a killer. Leonor does a major, elitist rant on César for being there.

With her wig disguise on Antonia talks with Lobo at the hospital. He tells her how Cruz and El Az came together to threaten him with her if he doesn’t lead them to the big bucks. Antonia tells him she’s getting him out of there.

Cruz tells Graciela that Lobo killed her sister and Gustavo. Then he jumps her bones. Guess the impotence is only with Leonor. I keep expecting Plácido to walk in.

Sué breaks up with Ignacio, saying their thing cannot work. Later she tells Zahie that she’ll wait tables or wash dishes, but no more men. Evil Pablo shows up and is fired after stabbing Ignacio in the arm.

Our gang plots: Fer, Santi, Antonia, Hugo, and Adela.

Remedios overhears Renata on a phone call with Antonia and rats her out to Graciela.

Lobo is taken for some “tests”. Somehow the doctor is complicit. Lobo escapes.

Cruz shows up at Antonia’s place, expecting to find Lobo. No luck. Antonia threatens to out him to the President.

Graciela confiscates Renata’s phone.

We see the two sides getting ready: El Az and his thugs, and Lobo organizes Fernando, Hugo, and Antonia. Our three guys efficiently choke out the thugs. They tie up Misael and his brother. Antonia comes to find Renata and spirits her away into a car. Eugenio insists on her leaving with the child and his going to help Our Team.

There’s a long scene with Lobo and Cruz insulting each other. Lobo tells Graciela that Cruz arranged for Gustavo and Miranda to be killed.

Fer and El Az go through about 20 or 30 bullets each. Fer gets one arm wound.

The Garcia kids get free. We end up in a stalemate. Lobo has Cruz by the throat and points the gun at the Garcia boys and they point guns back.

"LOBO"
Novelera: My gut feeling is Buji Leonor killed Guillermina. Just saying! I'm NOT buying that damn autopsy report at all!

My personal thoughts on last night's episode:
*Not shocked Ugly Remedios ratted out Renata to Buji Goldie Locks.

*Goldie Goldie Locks taking away Renata's phone wasn't surprising.

*Antonia, Lobo, Eugenio, Fernando, Hugo teaming up: What could possibly go wrong?

*Noticed that Sue suddenly vomited while drinking tequila. Hmmm 🤔

*Feeling there's more episodes of seeing Slippery Cruz & Co., wreaking havoc.

*Adela staying put at her house just in case.

Thank you, Babachita, for another wonderful recap.

For a brief moment in this episode, I actually felt sorry for Pelin while she spoke with Gulgun. Ferit was honest with her from the beginning but she fell in love and he couldn’t take that into account. I always looked at their relationship like a “friends with benefits” thing.

Ferit is no angel, but Seyran is always ready with cruel words or a swat or slap for Ferit. Interesting that viewers of the original eps tended to justify her behavior towards him.

You don’t find many mother/mother-in-law characters like Gulgun in dizis or TNs.

Suna and Abidin (#absun) are very sweet. Especially compared to acrimonious #seyfer.

I’m still trying to catch up with stuff after being away for several days. I can post #34 on the new page.
