Kara Para Ask – Black Money Love – Amor de Contrabando – Amor y Dinero Negro
Episode 133 #1 of 7
At the police station, Omer, Pelin, and Arda are walking down the stairs. Omer speculates why their new boss kept saying the same thing. Arda says he can’t figure out why they called them in for this. Pelin said they had expected him to be different than Ali. Arda asks if Omer has received any news about Fatih. Omer says no. Arda tells Omer not to worry, Husseyn will be fine. They will find him and put him in jail where he belongs. Omer tells them he is going to call Elif. His buddies move to give him some privacy.
Elif’s phone rings in Fatih’s car because Elif is incapacitated in the back seat. Fatih and Nico are in the front seat, Fatih driving. He asks Nico to pass him Elif’s phone. Fatih sees that it’s Omer and puts the phone down.
Omer gets the “not available” message. He texts her: So much food left you tired, right? You fell asleep. If you open your beautiful eyes, call me now. If I can’t be with you for at least a second, my life becomes hell, miss. By the way, still no news about Husseyn. I’ll be home in an hour. He smiles and sends the message.
Tayyar is listening to a news program on TV: Husseyn is suspected of being part of a money laundering scheme and has escaped from jail. Strangely, he was kidnapped while being taken from the hospital to jail during an armed incident.
Tayyar gets a message from Fatih: We’re getting closer to the cabin.
Tayyar: OK. Now you can tell Omer about the place now.
Omer’s phone rings. It’s Fatih: Brother-in-law, Tayar Dundar has your brother inside a cabin, hidden. He kidnapped him.
Omer: Where is the cabin?
Fatih tells him he will text the location and to hang up the telephone.
Omer walks over to Tolga, telling him they know where Husseyn is. He will send a text with the address and tells him to follow him immediately. OK? Make it quick.
Omer runs out the door and gets in his car, driving off quickly.
At the cabin, Elif is in the back seat. She looks half awake. We hear some shots (perhaps two) from inside the cabin. Then we see she is on the ground beside a car. Fatih runs out of the cabin and puts Elif’s father’s gun in her hand. Fatih raises the gun holding her hand. She looks completely out of it with a blank stare. Fatih/Elif shoots off more rounds, perhaps three. It’s a small gun, so it wouldn’t hold very many bullets.
Fatih tells her: Forgive me, I’m really sorry. I wish there was another way out. At least, you won’t remember anything.
She continues her blank stare.
Omer is driving fast. He calls Arda to be sure he has the address. Arda tells him they have it and are on their way.
Tayyar is enjoying a drink in his study. His phone rings. He gets a picture of Husseyn with a bullet hole in his forehead. Tayyar starts to smile: Well done, Fatih.
Back at the cabin, Fatih drags Elif from the ground by the car over to some abandoned equipment. He leaves her there. Then he gets a bright red gas can. He pours gas in front of where she is sitting, then puts her hand around the gas can handle (to get some prints) and then places it beside her. He then places the gun in her hand (more prints) and places it beside the gas can. Fatih lights a piece of cloth and drops it where he poured the gasoline. The gasoline flame quickly follows the path to the cabin, which now starts to burn.
Fatih: Well, good luck, then. (He turns and leaves.) Sister-in-law, this was the Story of the End of Husseyn Demir.
Fatih drives off, leaving Elif with her blank stare and the burning cabin.

Episode 133 #2 of 7
Ipek is helping their witness go through mug shots. She stops at one: This is the man. This is. I wanted to know where he is. Svetlana hit me and then assaulted my mother.
We see the picture: It’s Fatih!!!
Ipek thinks hard about what to do next.
Omer drives up to the burning cabin. He looks at Elif with her blank stare, posed with the gas can and gun. He thinks for a bit and then runs to Elif.
Elif what are you doing here? Talk to me! What are you doing here? Is my brother is in there or not? Can you hear me? Is he there or not?
Omer sees the gas can and pistol. He looks at the burning cabin. He asks again if his brother is there, but Elif doesn’t (can’t) say anything. He keeps trying and finally runs to the cabin to find his brother.
Elif looks like she’s following him with her eyes, but she seems like a Stepford Wife! It’s very eerie.
Another car drives up, with Arda and Pelin. They try to figure out what has happened there. Pelin spots Elif. They run to her. She is non-responsive to them as well.
Another car drives up. Arda tells them to call the firemen. Someone might be trapped inside.
Then they hear from inside Omer calling out: Brother! Arda runs inside the burning cabin.
Meanwhile, Pelin tries to get Elif to respond. Just then, Pelin gets a call. It’s Ipek. Pelin says she can’t talk right now, but Ipek tells her she has really good news. The woman recognized the man she was looking for. Finally, we found the guy who trapped her.
Pelin tells her she can’t talk right now. [This is a shame because Ipek has useful information.]
Ipek wants to know why but Pelin doesn’t reply.
Ipek is trying to get important information about Fatih to Omer: He’s working for Tayyar. Omer is being deceived. She realizes no one is listening to her and thinks what she might do next.
At the cabin, Arda brings Omer out. Omer wants to go back in. Omer says he has to find his brother. Finally, they hear a siren. Perhaps it’s the firemen.
Arda says they will put out the fire and see if anyone is inside.
Omer keeps saying to himself: He could be there.
Arda says he doesn’t know what might be inside there. He tells Omer he needs to calm down.
Meanwhile, Pelin is requesting EMT, saying that Elif needs one now. She tells Elif that a doctor will come soon. Pelin talks to Elif, trying to get her to react.
A policeman asks if he is authorized to take the weapon. Pelin tells him to wait. The experts will be there soon.
Pelin asks Elif if she shot Husseyn: Did you set the fire? Did someone kill him?
Pelin is very frustrated. The firemen finally have the hoses working.
Omer and Arda are still outside, Omer not at all happy to be.
At the mansion, we see Asli and Nilufer trying to sleep in Asli’s bed. It’s a little crowded. Nilufer steals the covers. Asli is not happy! She sits up and tells her she can stay with the whole bed. Asli continues to complain that Nilufer wakes her all the time, but she doesn’t even open one eye. As she walks down the hall, she can hear Nedret talking: You’ll pay for it? Ah, that’s great. That news is very good. I’m glad. Listening to them, you’re completely sure they did the work well? We finally said goodbye to him. Bravo. And how did you do it? It’s OK. Don’t get angry. I’m not going to ask anything. I was asking to know if I have to take precautions. OK, fine, I won’t ask, just forget it. But I have to tell you one thing, when this gets out, I can’t leave Elif alone. I have to be with her because Omer will want to destroy everything around her. Everyone will know tonight? Very well.
Asli has heard all of this conversation. She walks in as Nedret hangs up the phone. Nedret is very startled: Asli, what are you doing there? You almost scared me to death! How could you come in here so silently, like a ghost or like you’re spying on me? Did you want to give me a heart attack?

Episode 133 #3 of 7
Asli: It’s very late. Tell me, who were you talking with, Auntie?
Nedret: I was talking to a friend (uses amigo, which would mean a male friend in Spanish), your Majesty.
Asli: I suppose that friend knows something about Elif and Omer?
Nedret: Why do you say that? If I was in your place, I’d be worried about Elif. She still hasn’t arrived. Look, it’s very late. I don’t know why she still hasn’t arrived. I’ve been calling and she doesn’t answer. What’s the point of having a phone?
Asli is making lots of facial gymnastics listening to Nedret try to reassure Asli.
Nedret, continues: Omer is responsible, isn’t he? This is incredible. Didn’t your sister say that she would show some pride and stop running after that man? She could use some dignity.
No response from Asli.
Nedret, continues: I don’t want to keep talking. My head will explode. I’m going to sleep. Go get some rest.
Nedret leaves. She is obviously worried about what Asli may have heard.
Asli seems impactada.
Forensic techs are busy collecting evidence where Elif is sitting, still in a trance. We know that lots of that evidence has been planted by Fatih. Pelin watches with concern. The firefighters seem to be bringing the cabin under control.
Arda: Omer, we can take care of everything. You shouldn’t be here. It’s better if you leave. Trust us.
Omer doesn’t appear to have heard what Arda told him.
Pelin heads over to them.
Omer: I have to find out what the hell happened here.
Arda: Please, Omer, I’ll find out what happened here, and when I know, I’ll inform you. If you stay, all you’ll do is hinder the investigation. Please, Omer, go.
Pelin: The experts are finishing their examination of Elif. The only fingerprints on the gun are hers. Now they’re looking for gunpowder residue on her hands.
Arda: You’re implying that Elif might have shot at Husseyn.
Pelin: They’re just investigating. We know she attacked Husseyn before, and when we arrived, she was the only one here. She’s a suspect
Omer looks over at Elif, still sitting in a trance.
Omer: Has Elif said anything?
Pelin: She hasn’t said a word. Her behavior is very strange. I think she’s in shock. In that confusion, it’s impossible for her to give a statement. I asked them to send a doctor, but they haven’t arrived, so I think we should take her to a hospital.
Omer: Look, I need a day. Please give me that time to talk to Elif.
Pelin: I don’t understand. You’re thinking of taking Elif with you? You’re thinking of taking the only suspect we have?
Omer: You yourself said she wouldn’t be able to testify now. I need to talk to her calmly somewhere else. It’s the only option we have.
Pelin: It’s a crime, Omer. You know what’s going to happen. Getting involved in a cover-up will be absurd.
Omer: Look at her. An interrogation? Elif wouldn’t be able to handle it.
Pelin: Arda, tell Omer he wants to commit a crime, and not only put our careers in danger again, but also the investigation.
Omer: While Elif is in this condition, it’s better not to let anyone interrogate her. Are you with me?
Pelin and Arda look at one another.
Arda asks Omer if they will be going straight home. Omer indicates that is the case and Arda agrees.
Arda: I’ll keep you informed of every piece of news I receive. Go ahead and take her.
Pelin looks unconvinced and worried. After Omer walks off, she lights into Arda: Bravo. Good idea. I congratulate you. Elif is still in shock and Omer too disturbed. They could do anything, and you let them go? Arda, you’ve made a big mistake.

Episode 133 #4 of 7
A forensic policeman tells Omer: It’s confirmed. She was the shooter.
Omer: Find out who or what she shot.
Forensic policeman tells his crew: We’re done here. Let’s check the house.
Omer: Elif, come with me, come.
Omer takes her to his car. He has to drag and carry her partly to get there. In the car, he tells her not to worry. She seems to understand him and nods in agreement.
After they drove off, one of the inspectors tells Arda the fire was clearly intentional: There’s gasoline everywhere. We also verified that the fire started from that tree. If you look closely, you can see the mark it left. The gasoline can was found near her and had her fingerprints on it, which were also on the gun. We found traces of gunpowder on her hands; she fired that gun.
(While he is talking, Pelin’s body language is anguished).
Arda: Have they found a body?
The forensic policeman answers: Not yet.
Arda: But how is it possible that they haven’t found anything yet? None of you saw anyone inside.
Forensic policeman: The place is a like hell. It’s still burning. When they manage to control the fire, will it be possible to go inside and investigate what happened. I’ll prepare a report about it later.
Arda: OK. Get back to work. There’s a lot to do. I’ll wait for the report. (to the group): Don’t leave anything unchecked. We’re going to find out if there are more fingerprints. Only then will we know if she was alone. Footprints, fingerprints, whatever.
Pelin: You hear? We were informed that Elif is the main suspect, and you let the two of them leave the place.
Arda: Wait until we find out if there’s a body. After that, we can discuss it. OK?
Pelin: Yes, I just hope you didn’t make the wrong decision. I hope so.
Arda: Give me patience.
At Tayyar’s mansion, Fatih is giving his report to his father: Exactly as you planned. Elif was there holding the gun in her hands when Omer arrived. Then the police and firefighters arrived. It’s the end of Husseyn. Now he writhes in hell and will burn there for all eternity.
Tayyar is very impactado.
Fatih: And Elif, well she will go directly to prison for murder.
Tayyar: OK, but tell me, there’s something I’m not understanding, Fatih. Why did you start a fire? It wasn’t part of our plan.
Fatih: But I didn’t start it, it was that maniac Elif.
Tayyar: Do you think I’m stupid? She was paralyzed. How could she cause a fire? It’s ridiculous.
Fatih: Why was she paralyzed? I shot Husseyn. I put the gun in her hands and left them face to face. Five minutes pass, and then I heard noises. Elif shouted Husseyn: You’re a dam* murderer. She was screaming, like a madwoman. She looked like a psychotic. She had completely transformed. I don’t know what you gave her, but she was out of her mind. And that’s when she took the gasoline. It was too late when I noticed. Everything was in flames.
Tayyar listened to this carefully and asked: I guess she didn’t see you, right?
Fatih: No one could see me, Dad. It’s over now. If I were you, I’d uncork the champagne.
Tayyar walks away, thinking about this. Fatih follows with his eyes, hoping he buys the story.
Omer drives up to the pink house. He goes to her side of the car and tells her they are home. He gives her a hand. She slowly gets out. Her holds her close and leads her to their front door and opens the door with the key. They walk up the stairs to the living room and he sets her on the sofa. He stands, looking around.
Omer: Do you know what happened? Can you tell me?
Elif sighs.
Omer: Your car’s outside. Do you remember how you got there? Who took you? Was it Husseyn?

Episode 133 #5 of 7
Elif: I don’t know.
Omer: Elif, please, think about it. How did you get there? And the gun? Why did you have it?
She intakes breath sharply at this question. She stands up: Omer, please. Don’t pressure me. I can’t remember anything. I don’t recall if I was alone or if he was there. It’s all gone, erased completely from my brain. ‘
Omer looks up at her: Elif, make an effort. It’s important. Close your eyes and now, think about it. Do it.
FLASHBACK
Omer, Pelin and Arda are talking at the inaugural barbeque of the pink house to celebrate Arda and Pelin’s engagement. There is a bridal veil for Pelin.
Omer: You look so handsome I could die. Now all you need is the broom.
Pelin: I’m not a witch, I’m a girlfriend.
Elif gets flashbacks that appear back and forth with the present.
Omer is holding her face in his hands. He asks what she remembered.
Elif’s pitiful voice: We were so happy. You, me, Arda, and Pelin. We were happy. We had a wonderful night. Omer, how did this happen to me? How did this happen?
Omer holds her close and tells her it’s OK. She will remember. She just needs to recover. It’s OK.
But Omer’s face shows he is very worried.
Back at the smoldering cabin.
Pelin: Calm down. There you have it. The prosecutor is here.
Prosecutor: Good evening. What happened here?
Arda: We still don’t know, but it seems like a nightmare.
Prosecutor: What have you been able to find out?
Arda: The fire was intentional.
Prosecutor: I heard we have a suspect. Elif Denizer. One of the experts gave a statement.
Arda: Well, she was in shock.
Prosecutor: Where is she? I need to to talk to her. They already took her to the station?
Pelin keeps looking at Arda during this discussion to see what kind of an answer he will be able to come up with.
Arda: Well, we only know that there was a fire here and that it was intentional. That is to say, we still can’t confirm that there was a homicide. It’s just a theory. We haven’t even found a body, sir.
Prosecutor: What you’re telling me is just confusing me. Explain yourself better. I don’t have all night.
Arda: We haven’t found a body.
As if on cue, a forensic guy comes running up: We found the remains of a leg in there.
Prosecutor: I think we can now say that there was a homicide. Don’t you think so?
Pelin and Arda are very impactados.
At the pink house, Elif is sitting on the couch, also very impactada. Omer comes up the stairs with some food.
Omer: Cooking is very difficult! I think I was in Van the last time I cooked. It’s my mother’s soup. She prepares it with meat, but I only found chicken. You’ll feel better.
Omer encourages her to eat: Elif, you need to eat. It’ll do you good. (She finally accepts some soup.) It’s delicious, right? (No answer.) Well, if it didn’t taste good, I can bring you a tiramisu or some tea.

Episode 133 #6 of 7
Elif: I don’t want to eat more.
Omer: Look at me, Signorina. Look me in the eyes, please. I feel devastated. My heart is full of sadness and fear. Once, you asked me when I felt pain, that I should share it with you, right? We’ve always tried to solve problems separately to protect each other. And that hurt our love. But it won’t be you and me anymore, now it will be us.
Omer reaches over to embrace her.
Omer: If we’re together, there won’t be anything in the world that can bring us down. We have to trust in that. Does that sound good?
Elif nods, sobbing.
Finally, she falls onto Omer’s shoulder. They embrace. He is obviously thinking hard.
Omer: Come, my love.
He carries her to the bed and lays her down. He holds her and tells her he needs her to let him help her: Don’t let your heart and your mind close. Let me be by your side. We must be together, my love, because if we’re not, we’ll be empty. Elif…
Omer goes to stand up, thinking she is asleep or wants to be alone, when Elif says: Don’t go.
She turns to him and they embrace face to face.
She smiles, though it is sort of a grimace, and Omer holds her very close.
Arda is driving Pelin. Neither looks very happy.
Pelin: Are you going to act like nothing happened? Just because Husseyn was a murderer doesn’t give us the right to cover for anyone. That would only make us as low as him.
Arda: I don’t recognize you anymore, Pelin. Omer is our soul brother and Elif is the woman he loves. Where does this obsession with wanting to send her straight to jail come from?
Pelin: Wait a minute, do you really think I’d like that for him? To prison? Why are you saying that?
Arda: You’re suggesting it.
Pelin: I can’t believe what you’re saying. You’re acting like an idiot. All I want is to protect Elif and Omer. How could you think I would want anything bad to happen to them? Do you really think I want to accuse her of murder? How could you even think that? Arda, they are both devastated. What if they make a mistake and want to flee the country? That would only make things worse. I’m just saying we have to stick together so we can find the truth together.
Arda: The truth is no more valuable than love. Since they met, they haven’t had a single minute of peace. Why don’t we let them break the rules for once? On one side, there’s the woman he loves, and on the other, his brother. Omer knows what he’s doing. He deserves to make his own decisions and be happy.
Pelin: I think what you’re thinking.
Arda: So, trust Omer. Let him talk to Elif. If he doesn’t solve the case in 24 hours, we’ll take care of him.
Pelin: Promise?
Arda: Of course, I promise.

Episode 133 #7 of 7
Time passes. We see Omer sleeping.
DREAM:
Husseyn: Brother, brother, where are you?
Omer wakes: Brother?
Omer looks over and sees that Elif is no longer there.
He runs downstairs and calls her name several times.
He finds her out in their garden.
Omer: It’s freezing outside, Elif. Why don’t we go inside?
Elif: I’m very afraid. Who am I? What happened to me? What did I do? Even though I try, I can’t remember anything.
Omer: Everything’s going to be alright, my love. I’m here.
Elif: What did I do? I can’t remember anything. Please help me. You have to help me remember. Please.
Omer: It’s OK. You’re not alone, Elif. Come on, let’s go inside.
Elif: When will this nightmare end? What are we going to do?
Omer: Let me help you. Come on.
He leads her back inside.
He takes her to wash her face, which he does for her very lovingly. She keeps staring in the mirror. I’m thinking she must be having some memories of the previous night. Omer tells her to look him in the eyes as they are looking in the mirror. He tells her: We’re going to be together. That way, nothing will be stronger than us. OK? Now, I’m going to make you some tea. It’ll do you good. And if you want, we can talk. Calm down. We’ll work it out. Be calm.
Omer leaves her at the sink to go make tea. She looks very broken down and is having trouble breathing.
While making the tea, he also looks broken down. He strokes his hair off his brow. He tells himself: Be strong Omer. Be strong.
He pulls himself up and finishes the tea.
We see Fatih being driven by Nico to an urban high rise building. He gets out and tells Nico to stay in the car until he gets back.
Fatih: If you see anything you suspect, you’re going to call me.
Fatih gets out. They look to be downtown at a hotel or office building. Fatih walks inside, wearing a baseball cap.
Tayyar is in his robe pouring some tea or coffee. There is knock on the door. Tayyar says to enter.
It’s Mumtaz.
Tayyar: Tell me what my son is doing. Is there anything new? Did they see him going into the hotel?
Mumtaz: One of my men is following him.
Tayyar: Who is with him now? Why was he there?
Mumtaz: We haven’t found out, yet sir. But we’ll know soon.
Tayyar, finger wagging like crazy: Look, before you knock on my door, you should come with all the information I’m asking for. Why is he at that hotel and who was with him? Find out! That dam fire thing had me worried. You know the relationship between my son and me is constantly changing. Don’t just stand there like an idiot. Get out of here and find out what I want.
Mumtaz nods and leaves.
Tayyar is very impactado.

Thanks Babachita!
Why did Fatih start the fire? That's the $34,000 question and Tayyar asked it, but he didn't get an honest answer. What is the truth? I think Huso is alive and well! That's the only reason I can think of for the fire, so no one could see/identify the corpse or lack thereof. And they a part of leg? I wonder whose leg? Or did Huso have to chop his leg off? Is that what the axe was for?
Did Asli hear enough to bury Nedret???
I found the whole investigation frustrating. Elif is frozen solid and unresponsive, and they don't get her medical attention? A drug test might have been good for her! Sure, shock is a reasonable explanation, but they needed a medical expert. And then they just talk about how she was the shooter throughout the episode without even knowing if anyone got shot. Arda was right at the end, they didn't even know what happened yet, and they were already drawing conclusions.
