This will be wiki-wiki because I FF'ed through the entire waterpark honeymoon and sculpture-garden proposal. If anyone else wants to fill that in, be my guest. I was bored. to. death.

Low points:

- Grecia gives Ines some kind of lose-your-mind drops to put in Aramis's eyes.
- Gonzalo takes the baby to the doctor, who discovers his LITTLE SHOULDER IS DISLOCATED. (It's a stunt baby, it's a stunt baby, it's a stunt baby, just breathe.)
- Not-so-comatose Victorio jumps the police chief and chokes him out.

High points:

- Marisol visits Bolero in prison and admits that against her better judgment, she still loves him. Yay!
- Limon just loves that little square baby. (Grecia calls him and Ines "Nanny #1 and Nanny #2.")
- Cata sees Gonzalo in the office and says, "I smell sulfur." He says, "It must be your perfume." Then they both laugh.

Blue lass, I didn't FF through the honeymoon and proposal scenes but I agree, they were so boring. All I thought during the proposal location is where were the rest of the. People at the sculpture park because no way can Franco afford to rent it for his exclusive use. Also the knight and Lady props were ridiculous, what grown up 40 somethings would do that. The ring he gave her at least was believable, whatever stone if had ( maybe an amethyst) it was properly small as would fit his budget.

I watched two episodes last night. What was the green paint or whatever on Sofia's belly about?

Grecia is a monster. The poor baby ( stunt baby). What does she have on the pediatrician? Gonzo was pretty brutal to Grecia telling her he didn't live her.. she really is in a mental state and that is sending her over the edge even more . I'm pretty sure he is taking Gonzo Jr away from her after the physical abuse was discovered.

Aramis's bodyguard has nice hair! I'm jealous.

Victor overpowering the police detective was so unbelievable! He must have been working out in that hospital bed while handcuffed . And talk about utterly improbable things. He manages with his left hand and a paper clip to pick the handcuff lock!

I've forgotten what Limon does and who he works for. Aramis? He seems happy to be a nanny though.

Franco has been drawing on Sophia. Remember, they have that crayon kink.

Gonzo just took the baby, but afterward Gracia threatened the pediatrician with a smear campaign, suggesting he was some kind of child abuser so that he wouldn’t report the baby’s injury.

I missed that whole handcuff lock picking detail. Thanks for filling it in.

Limon is somebody’s personal assistant. At one time he worked for both Gonzalo and Sophia, which was ridiculous, because in a company that size can’t each of them have one of their own? But I’m glad that Catalina has Marisol now.

They never showed him picking the lock, just Grecia going into his room dressed as a nurse and putting it in his palm and telling him he knows what to do. But I noticed only his right hand was cuffed as the other had his IV and pulse oximeter on his finger.

Yeah, I missed the kinky painting each other in previous episodes . That's just another example of how juvenile they are. I wonder what the actors thought of all the silly shenanigans the writers came up with.

Notes from the Couch

1. Joaquín, in spite of acknowledging that they have personal issues, decides to let Facundo continue to work for him. His brother put in a good word for him. Facundo says it has always been such an "honor" to work for Navarro-Crosse and especially now since that miserable Mario Nolivos stole their project. Joaquín will be overseeing his work and doesn't want any problems. Facundo thanks him. He won't be sorry. They shake on it. Marcos looks annoyed.

2. Iván notices Romina at the bar they both seem to frequent for wine and piano music He brings some wine for both of them to her table. They both agree that maybe it wasn't a coincidence that they both ended up there feeling like they do. He can no longer honor her request to be friends and stay away from each other because he loves her. She asks him not to do this to her. He asks her to take stock of her heart and tell him if it is love that he is feeling between them. She apologizes but she can't. She gets up and leaves.

3. Kassandra happily greets Joaquín who has come over to her place. She kisses him and gives him a hug. She tells him he looks handsome He thanks her. With a smile smile he shows her the engagement ring to her. She is overwhelmed with joy!!! She cannot believe it!!! His mood changes when he asks her if this is what she did everything for. She doesn't get it. He explains that she hired a private detective to look for Nuria and to get him out of the house.

4. Romina comes home and wants to talk to Marcos but he is too busy watching a soccer game. She gets a call from Vero askng her for a big favor along with no questions. Can she please text her Kassandra's address?

5. Joaquín wants an answer. Why did she hire a detective behind his back? She "explains" that she didn't want to burden him with anything else. Burden him?? he asks. She only wanted to help out. She did it for him. She saw he was so overwhelmed by so many things and she felt powerless. He tells her not to lie CARAY!!! He doesn't believe her one bit. She insists that she only wants the best for him He disagrees because she hired a detective to find Nuria and get him away from the kids. She asks if that isn't what everyone wanted to happen, for Nuria to appear and take charge of her nieces and nephew. He says NO, she did it behind his back. She thinks it was for the best and deep down he knows it. What did he want anyway? Did he want to keep playing father to those ORPHANS? That pushes him over he edge. He cannot believe that is what she called the children. He no longer knows her. She approaches him and he tells her to stay way. He shows her the engagement ring, holds it up in front of her and asks if she can see it. He informs her it will never be hers. Never! h\He would prefer to be alone for his whole life before tying himself to somebody who is capable of hurting those he loves. She desperately tries to explain that she only wanted them to start a life together from zero like a "normal" couple.

He takes offense at her using the word "normal." She answers that it isn't as if she doesn't care for the children, she adores them, but she wanted the two of them to form their own family. She asks if that is a bad thing. He says it isn't What the problem is her lying and deceiving him. She did him dirty. She even seemed surprised when Nuria appeared. She tries to explain that he always was a man who loved his solitude, who didn't want to have kids, or any commitment. She was only trying to help him get his life back. He tells that is a lie,. She never helped him with anything. She did it for herself because she is a selfish person. He reminds her that when they decided to give their relationship a chance he was very clear with her and told her how important Luis's children were for him. He told her that they were his PRIORITY. She answered that she wanted the same thing that he did. He asks how many more things has she lied about to him. She addresses him as "love." He cuts her off saying he is not her love. In tears she admits she made a mistake and begs him to forgive her please. She did it because she loves him. He tells her it is over and he doesn't want t know anything else. He goes to leave and she tries to hang on to him. He breaks away. She asks where he is going. He answers "wherever". The only thing he knows is that he doesn't want to spend one more minute there. He will send for his belongings later. She keeps crying. He shows her the ring and says "Here is your love!" as he throws it into the trash can. She begs him not to go and tries to hang on to him. He pushes her off and is out of there. He reminds her that he hates lies and leaves her sobbing. She digs the ring out of the trash can. and continues to cry.

6. When Joaquín leaves, Vero jumps out of a cab and intercepts him. She explains she is there because she found out he was going to take a very important step. She doesn't know if it is too late but he needs to know everything she has kept quiet, everything she has kept in the depths of her heart.

7. Nico meets with Claudia at a café. She wants to go live with him so she can get away from her mother, Majo, Diego, everybody! He tells her that she would be escaping and t would solve nothing. She accuse him of not wanting her to live with him. He says that is not it. He would love to make up for lost time but she shouldn't be coming to live with him fo rthe wrong reasons. She starts to get upset and says at least they could try it for a period of time. He tells her that he lives in a nearby lovely but poor neighborhood and could not offer her what she is used to. She doesn't care. He says they have to talk to her mother first and see what she thinks. Claudia thinks she will be happy if she goes so she can do what she wants. . Nico looks concerned and then even more so when Claudia says she saw her kissing Facundo.

8. Majo and Diego are preparing supper when they have a visitor. It is Renán. Diego asks who is it. Majo is all smiles as she says it is an "old friend." Renán says that could change depending on who is answering the question. Diego immediately ses him as competition.

9. Over a cup of coffee, Joaquín reminds Vero that she said that she had something important to tell him. She says it is hard to find the words to tell him everything she is feeling. She has nothing against "Miss Secretary" but she is terrified he is going to marry her. He will be even farther away from the children. They miss him a lot already and need him. He admits he misses them and adores them. Nobody or nothing will keep him away from them. They will always be able to count on him. He moves on saying that he doesn't think that she is telling him what she really came to tell him. As she takes a looong drink of coffee , he asks her to quit avoiding what she feels for him because it is the same thing that he feels for her. He wants her to know that he and Kassandra have broken up for good. Vero starts to smile as he continues saying that she is right that he was on the verge of making a very grave error and she knows one of the reasons why. He is deeply in love with her. Vero smiles.

10. Renán chats with Majo as Diego sits as Diego weighs his competition. It turns out that Renán arrive da couple of days ago and plans on staying. He wonders if she could put in a good word for him at her uncle's company. Diego puts a proprietary arm around Majo and asks what is Renán profession. It runs out he is a mechanical engineer. Diego says they can talk to Joaquín . Diego says he himself is the son of one of the partners. . He goes on to say that he and Majo work together and that they are going out. He calls her "my love" and kisses her to drive home the point.

11. Joaquín thinks that even after everything that has happened they can rescue something good. She is no longer his employee which will give them a great chance to get to know each other in a different way. Seeing her hesitance, he reminds her they are adults and they cannot keep going around in circles. They need to take charge of what they feel. He places her hands on is heart. She agrees she feels it, too. he asks if she is afraid. She admits to maybe being a little or maybe a lot scared. He thinks that is normal because something is happening to them. They both agree they are feeling something.
She agrees that her feelings are very strong and notes that their closeness happened so naturally. She tells him she is also deeply in love with him. They kiss.

12 Kassandra is in a hysterical meltdown. She rips off her necklace and starts "renting" her dress. She damns Joaquín and throws a token glass into the wall. She says Joaquín cannot do this to her. He will be sorry until the last day of his life. She will not be humiliated. She wont' be replaced by that floozy. She throws a second token glass into the wall and cries as she stares at the ring. If Joaquín isn't hers, he will be nobody's!

13. Joaquín and Vero stroll through the park having a grand old time . Vero manages to convince Joaquín not to take her home. He reminds her they need to get used to using "tú " with each other. She agrees and asks if he isn't going to be missing her saying "Oiga, jefecito" "Hey, boss" as she gives a half curtsy.. He remarks how wouldn't he miss that. They kiss.

14. Ding dong, it is Mario asking Kassandra if she called. He lies what he sees. She starts to kiss him and reminds him that he said he wold put the world at her feet. This is what she wants: Navarro cross her name only. She wants to leave Joaquín and the damn orphans in utter poverty on their knees begging for a little pity. In between kisses, he tells her she will have that and more, absolutely everything.

15. After kissing some more, Vero insists on still taking a taxi home. He says he has to get a hotel room for tonight. He has no idea where he is going to spend the night but he does know that he wants to spend all of the nights of his life in her arms. She thins this is like a dream. He says it is a start. They agree to tell the kids nothing for now. Things get more serious when Vero tells him she has still many things to tell him. Things that could change everything he thinks a of her. He says NOTHING could change his mind about her. They agree to let everything else go for now and end the night on this magical note.
They kiss and she gets in teh taxi.

16. As hehy continue to kiss, Mario tells Kassandra that he knew that she wasn't going to settle for that mediocre Joaquín. She is too much of a woman for a simpleton like him. She says it was very hard not feeling appreciated and valued butt if there ever were any humanity in her heart she has yanked it out. He insists that her heart is even beating stronger at his side. She adds that j h reminded her of how powerful she was so she is done having any compassion for anyone.Mario thinks they will be invincible together and nobody will be able to stop them. She invites him to come seal their war pact in the way it should be done.

17. The next day, Vero is thinking back on the previous night. Joaquín calls just to hear her voice and to tell her that last night was not a dream. He is gong to pass by the house to see the kids and her. She reminds him they have to be discreet. She reminds him that she still has something very important to tell him. He assures her they will talk but today, he only wants to stay with that feeling they have. He sends her a kiss.

18. Kassandra wakes up in Mario's arms. She tells him it has been months since she slept like that. He thinks it is because she finally stopped fighting the inevitable..She agrees. She is going to make Joaquín pay. He will be destroyed and ruined just like he made her feel. Mario smiles. He says the first step is simple : not to oppose him coming on board as the capital partner. Once he is on the inside, the rest will take care of itself. She feels Joaquín is cornered and she will ma ke sure he signs where he needs to sign.

19. Vero tells Consuelo about alst night and that she is upset thinking of what is ahead of her telling Joaquín the truth .Vero wonders what will happen if she loses him and Vale. Consuelo doesn't see that happening. . She knows Joaquín and that he will understand. She also thinks he will support her in getting her daughter back. He is a good man. He loves her. Consuelo tells her how brave she is. She tells Vero to prepare herself for a fight because only in that way will she ever get what she deserves.

20. Isaura appears at Kassandra's to return her keys and especially to find out how last night went. Isn't she going toshow off her engagement ring? She sees that she doesn't have it on. She doesn't want to hear that things didn't go well. Kassandra says it was she who told Joaquín about hiring the detective to find Nurias, right? Isaura says of course! See what happens when you are so ungrateful to your mother! That was only a sample of what she is capable of.
Kassandra tries to talk but Isaura cuts her off. Kassandra didn't care about throwing her out on the street. Why should she be considerate with her? Kassandra says she betrayed her. Isaura doesn't see an issue, Kassandra is fully capable of winning back Joaquín again. It would have been a different story if she had told him that Kassandra was Luis's lover and that she blackmailed him so as not to destroy her family. Kassandra says she lost Joaquín because of her. Isaura disagrees and insists that Kassandra has to learn from her errors and give her mother her place that she so well deserves. Kassandra slaps her. Isaura says she committed a sin with slapping her. Kassandra thinks she should have killed her. Kassandra tells her to GET OUT! Isaura tells her she will not keep treating her like garbage. She is leaving and going straight toJoaquín. She will bury her.

21 Mario enters the conversation telling Isaura she will do no such thing. Mario introduces himself as her daughter's future husband.

22. Sanabria appears with a briefcase full of money that Mario presents to Isaura. She likes what she sees as payment for her silence. Kassandra makes it clear that is all the money she will be getting. Isaura sees that she taught her daughter well given that she has found a man like Mario.Isaura pawned the jewelry and will send the pawn slip to her "son-in-law" to get them back. Isaura welcomes Mario to the family. He is taking her biggest treasure. He agree but he wants to be very clear with Isaura. If she takes on wrong step or opens her mouth on more time, or hurts Kassandra, she will end up with a bullet between her eyes. He asks if he is clear. She nods, plays with his kerchief and says she feels they are going to get along very well. He is going to see what a marvelous mother-in-law she can be. Isaura is going to plan an engagement party. She takes her money and with "sweet goodbyes" eaves. Kassandra tells Mario he has no idea of how she detests her mother . He tells her no worries. A new life is starting for her today.

23. Vale sees Hugo at the track, She has just given Eleazar a kiss before his run. . Hugo comments on her smile. She says it is for Eleazar. He jokes about that being a direct hit. He has to admit he likes seeing her happy like that. She knows Hugo doesn' liek him. Hugo a has to admit that he is a good kid and didn't have it as easy as he first thought. He is happy for them. She asks about Nayeli.. When she finds out that they have broken up, she encourages him to try to get back with Nayeli. They alwas seemed like th perfect couple. It is worth it to fight for the right person.

24. Rebeca sees Eleazar and Vale kissing outside of the snack bar. She now understands it all.

25. Joaquín picks up Meli and Dani from school. Meli says that Alexa hasn't been at school. Nobody could tell her how nice it was to read her father's apology. Nuria isn't home. Joaquín tells Carmen he is going to take the girls out to eat. Carmen goes to help the girls get ready and Joaquín goes looking for Vero. He finds her in the laundry room.They kiss.

Well, back to my old tablet . I use Amazon Fire tablets and they usually work fine, but the one is odd.
Am I right that in a previous episode , we saw Sofia pregnant with a big belly ? Was that some kind of fantasy for Franco and \or Sofia?
My fave character is Bolero. If the writers kill.him off at the end, I will. E very unhappy . I fear that with so many happy couples, the writers will ferl.that they have to sacrifice someone who is not a villain .
I wonder where Frankenstein Vic is heading and what he plans to do.
I am curious about the Anvils that have been forged for the wicked . Susan

Thanks Jarifa, reading your recaps is like a play by play of the whole episode, including details I missed.

I have to admit I was pleased to see Diego’s discomfort with Majo’s friend
and got a kick out of his obvious attempt to let it be known he and Majo were novios, topping it off with the kiss. He’s had love come to him easily and I hope he has to worry about little bit now.

I loved Joaquin showing Kassandra the ring and then saying it would never be hers. But then he throws it in her trash can. That’s not the first time I’ve seen characters throw away rings. I always think they should take it to a pawn shop. Joaquin probably could have returned the ring. It’s not like he can afford to throw money away. And Kassandra is going to really attempt to ruin him. A woman scorned….not sure of the whole saying but I'm sure it fits Kassandra.

Vero and Joaquin’s declaration of love was sweet, but he just told Kassandra he hates liars! Will they still be together tonight?

I can’t figure out Romina’s feelings for Ivan and/or Marcos. Does she know which one she loves? I just think Ivan is too pushy in his pursuit of a married woman.

I think it’s strange that Alexa hasn’t been to school. If they discovered her dad’s body everyone would be talking about that. But I can’t believe Joaquin is letting Facundo stay on. I hope Joaquin really does watch him closely.

A masterful recap of another stunning, mind-blowing episode Jarifa.

Jarifa, I totally agree that Joaquin giving Kass the kiss off with an incredible tongue lashing was the episode highlight! Joaquin's fury and betrayal were a sight to behold, and it was so gratifying that Kassandra was the object of his scorn. Dead to rights without any kind of plausible defense, scorned and rejected were her only avenues.

Yet, Kassandra was back on the street without missing a beat! How convenient she had a wealthy, powerful and vindictive lover waiting in the wings. Ah, what this all-consuming hatred and revenge will wrought remains to be seen.

"She doesn't know if it is too late but he needs to know everything she has kept quiet, everything she has kept in the depths of her heart".
So Vero tells all. Well, not quite all. "...he doesn't think that she is telling him what she really came to tell him". Actually, she did, but she omitted the most important part, her daughter. Are alarm bells not going off in her brain? I'm flummoxed.

Shut up. Ivan. Let the woman you purport to love sit down and take a breath before you pledge your undying love. Oh yes, and let her decide if she is done with her marriage.

I'm so tired of Hugo looking like a whipped puppy dog.

Liz, ITA on Joaquin trashing the ring. It's crazy how angry TN folks throw away expensive stuff.

So sweet that Vero finally told Joaquin she loves him, but it irks me that Joaquin has declared his love to someone who hasn't even told him her true name.

I would love to see how Claudia gets along in Padre Nico's little town.

Last night Diego showed that he can be just as annoying and clingy as Claudia. Ha!
I keep hoping Marcos will step up and show Romina he cares about what she wants in life, but there he is again watching sports and giving her short shrift.

Yep, Sofia is definitely pregnant. I imagine we'll see a cute toddler in our eventual "X years later." And Bolero will be home -- Marisol did say she was "working to get him out," although I'm not sure what resources she has -- and maybe that family will have another kid as well. They do like to tie everything up with a baby or two.

1. After they kiss a bit, Vero reminds Joaquín she still needs to talk to him. He knows but for him the most important thing is that they have taken this step to be together. He wants her to come along with him and the girls. She reminds him he is no longer her boss. He says he will take care of it. All she has to do is take off her clothes. She is momentarily shocked. What he meant to say is change her clothes. They both laugh. Vero wonders what will happen when he knows the truth.

2. Rebeca is clearly taken aback seeing Vale and Eleazar together. She was surprised since when she asked her BFF Vale about Eleazar, she said she wasn't interested in him. She tells Eleazar they were never novios so he is free to date whoever he wants. He is happy she understands.(Sure) She only came to say hi and leaves. Vale is not sure that Rebeca took the news of them going out well. He doesn't get it. .(DUH!)

3. Vero, Joaquín and the girls have fun out and about.

4. Joaquín tells Vero that Kassandra was responsible for bringing Nuria back behind his back. She wanted him out of the house away from the kids and her. She said she wanted to remove the burden he had. He has never seen the children as a burden on the contrary, they have given him back his strength, his life. They even began to make him see himself as a father. Vero gets it. He can understand Kassandra's motives but her lies are something he could never forgive her. . Lies undermine trust and poison what you love the most. Some lies cannot be forgiven with an apology. There are lies that kill forever what they touch. Vero looks upset.

5. Romina is getting rid of things she bought for a future baby. Consuelo asks if that means that she doesn't want a child. Romina say that is not it. She is not sure she wants to have one with Marcos. Romina says things are going badly between them She went home to give it a try but nothing is better. Consuelo says Marcos is a difficult one. Romina admits it isn't only him at fault. Her aunt asks if she has fallen in love with another man.

6. Joaquín goes on and on about if there is one thing he cannot tolerate in this life it is lying.Vero agrees but adds that sometimes life puts you in a position where you have no other choice and you end up hurting people unintentionally. He asks if she is defending Kassandra . She says no way but sometimes the truth can be worse than a lie. He asks for an example. She can't give one and says it was only something that was passing through her head. He asks if she is sure. He has the feeling she is talking about something personal or is he wrong? With no response, he asks if he is wrong again. He thinks she is referring to the two of them who preferred not to say anything about what they felt for each other as not to hurt anyone. She says he is right. She adds there are truths that need time and lies that are born from an immense love. Joaquín caps it off by saying they have no lies between them. and that is their truth. (okay. . . )

7. Now Consuelo understands what is going on with Romina.She concludes that she fell in love with another man. Romina explains that she and Marcos haven't been doing well for a long time. She has put forth the effort to save her marriage. Consuelo thinks that is sad to have to try to save your marriage. Romina says that both of them are trying but nothing gets any better. Her aunt asks if it may be a case of Romina being tired of rowing the boat all by herself. In tears, Romina admits that she got tired. She is feeling like they no longer have anything in common. She doesn't know what to talk to him about and doesn't feel like going home. .Consuelo wants to hear about the other guy she fell in love with because Romina never denied his existence. Romina smiles and says that he makes her laugh. She can talk about anything with him. He listens to her and respects her. He makes her day joyful whenever she sees him. Consuelo thinks it sounds pretty serious. Romina says it is only as a fantasy. Her marriage is bad and this relationship with this other guy is like an escape valve but it still doesn't fix anything. Consuelo says she can call it what she will but it also could be real love. .

8. Marcos has told Majos' friend Renán that tomorrow he can start his apprenticeship. She is happy for him. She is glad he is there. Ever since she left Spain she has felt alone without friends. She tells him of the trials and tribulations of dating her friend Claudia's ex Diego and how she lost her only friend. Renán says that he is here now and gives her a hug.

9. Rebeca sees Vale in the snack bar and says sarcastically what a good friend she turned out to be. Granted Diego wasn't her novio but was her "almost something. " Vale tries to justify herself saying she had history with him, too. Rebeca reminds her that she asked her to her face if she was interested in Eleazar and she told her no. Rebeca says if Vale would have told her that she liked Eleazar she would not have paid attention to him because she is not as awful as she is. She lied to her all this time and has been a bad friend. She leaves. Vale is upset.

10. Kassandra goes to see Joaquín to see what her situation is at the company now Being honest, he says he doesn't think he can trust her again. .She reminds him she has worked with him for 15 years and she has never failed him professionally. He agrees. She would like to separate the work place from their personal lives. He has no problem with that especially at this time of crisis. She informs him that the documents are ready establishing Nolivos as their capital partner.

11. Vero sits trying to write out in a letter what she wants to tell Joaquín about her situation.

12. The corporate representative declares that documents are ready to incorporate Nolivos Motors as the capital partner of Navarro Motors. They will cover immediate liabilities and assure their liquidation within 12 months.
Joaquín is surprised that Nolivos is being allowed to be a part of the board with voting rights in strategic decisions. He notes it wasn't in the first version of the contract. Mario tells him times change. Joaquín needs more than money. He needs vision. Joaquín asks if it is vision or control. This practically puts Mario at par with him a the company. The rep says that is the condition if they want the money. Nothing else can be negotiated. Joaquín knows that but if that is the case daily operations will be under his control which includes the track, the shop, his racers. All of those things will continue to be Navarro Cross. Mario assures him that nobody came to take his toy away. Mario is only there to make the company grow. Nuria pipes up with she has been meditating looking for clarity through her ascendant masters and as the representative for the Miranda family she believes that this is the correct step. She will be signing the contract. She is doing it to protect the future of her nieces and nephew. After signing, she gives it to Joaquín and he does. Mario tells Joaquín the future is here with Nolivos and Navarro sounding same powerful roar on the track. He puts out his hand and Joaquín shakes it. Everyone is smiling except for Joaquín.

13. Vero feels if she reads letter to him, Joaquín will hate her. What to do?She srarts to put her thoughts to paper again.

14. The corporate rep tells them that now everyone must do their part to make this new alliance beneficial for every The capital is secured. Now they need to work as one team. Mario sees them reaching new heights with the collaboration. Joaquín wants to keep his company's identity. The corporate rep says that Mario will be occupying Luis' old office. Joaquin has a problem with that. They have kept the office vacant out of respect for Luis' memory. Nuria finds that approach counterproductive. Energy should flow. Mario thanks her. Kassandra ends the meeting.

15. Vero is still writing and discarding what she has written.

16. Facundo welcomes Renán. He like that he is a mechanical engineer like him. Mario says experience is also important and he will get it there.

17. Majo points out to Diego that Renán is going to work there, too. Diego tries to smile.

18. Vale and Eleazar arrive at the company and see Rebeca there . She is waiting for her father who is in a meeting with her godfather.

19. Everyone exits the meeting and Joaquín makes an announcement in the common area where everyone is gathered. As of today, Mario Nolivos is a partner in Navarro-Cross. Everyone is silent as shock crosses their faces. Rebeca runs to congratulate her father Mario. Eleazar cannot believe that Rebeca is that miserable man's daughter..

20. Aurelio has come to see Vero. She wants to be alone. He is her father and he loves her. He is not moving from there until she tells him what is wrong. She says she and all of her lies are the problem. She has lied to everyone to him and her daughter. . . That catches his interest. She admits that she has been seeing her daughter everyday all of this time. He looks shocked.

21. Olga is looking at Mario and tells Romina he is a good looking guy.

22. Facundo asks Kassandra if she was aware of all of this. Why wasn't he told. She tells him to do himself a favor and not to think he is so important. He is disposable,

23. Diego stars yelling at Joaquín asking why he wasn't told about any of this.The corporate rep answers his question. Nuria as their legal guardian made the decision for the family. Diego tells her that she should have consulted with him and his sisters first. Vale joins him complaining. Nuria explains that she took the decision that she thought was most suitable for the family and to maintain their spiritual equilibrium. Vale cannot take it. Joaquín tries to calm them down. Mario explains that this association is a life saver for Navarro-Cross that was at the point of sinking. Now, the company can rise again stronger than ever. He says if they work together, today's storm will be tomorrow's driving force that will take them to victory. A smiling Nuria and a sparse few applaud.

24. Vero tells her father that she sees her daughter, she talks to her and she cares for her. She doesn't know she is her mother. All a stricken Aurelio can do is ask why???She lied to her because she cannot tell her who she is. He reminds her she said she wouldn't look for her. Vero says she lied to him, too. She has led to everyone. She has not told her she is her mother because her daughter hates her birth mother because she believes that SHE abandoned her, gave her up for adoption. Aurelio is very upset and says now it is HIS fault. She asks who else's fault would it be???

25. Diego and Vale talk with Joaquín in his office. Diego says they are not angry with him but with Nuria. She should have discussed it with them. They are not little kids. Joaquín says she sho ld have said something to them, too. Vale says all they want is for Nuria to go and for him to come back so it can be like before with him as their guardian. Diego says they are like a family. They all hug.

26. Aurelio admits that he made mistake when they decided to give the baby up for adoption. And just when Vero thinks they will have meeting of minds, he blurts out: THEY SHOULD HAVE TOLD HER THE BABY WAS STILL BORN. She steps back in horror. He makes it worse saying that things would have been different and she would not have wasted so much time looking for her and destroying her life, her daughter's life and his life. Vero cannot listen to any more. Aurelio sees himself as having saved her life. Vero tells him that he destroyed it. All she wanted was for him to own up to his mistakes. He reminds her she got pregnant at 15. Did she expect a prize? She insists that the baby was guilty of nothing. The girl is his granddaughter. With that last comment , he decides he has to leave and let each of them carry their own cross. He has had enough of her. She cries.

27. Mario gets comfy in Luis' office. Facundo pays him a visit. He doesn't like what he is hearing. They came up with the plan to take over Navarro Cross together from the start. Mario told him he would be in charge of the team and they would get rid of Joaquín. Mario chuckles this time. Mario says the plan is underway.The difference is that Facundo is no longer a part of the plan.He is no longer necessary He better look after his job as head of the mechanics because he could even lose that.He adds that all of the glorious plans he had for Eleazar are also in play. It all depends on him (Mario.)

28. Lorena is happy that Claudia seems to have calmed down and is doing such good work. Lorena thinks that her father has something to do with that
Claudia agrees. He explained that her bad attitude toward her mother had a a part in their relationship. Lorena promises to do her part. Claudia hopes so because she wants to live with her father and hoes she won't oppose it. Nico hasn't agreed yet but it is a decision he has to make with her.

29. Aurelio meets with Isaura. She tells him not to be depressed. Their ungrateful children think they have the right to criticize them. She says there are always ways to make them reconsider. She explains that after all the battles with her daughter, here they are ready to celebrate her engagement. Mario and Kassandra arrive at the table. Mario recognizes Aurelio. Aurelio gets up and calls him a miserable man.

30. Vero arrives at Joaquín's hotel room. He greets "his love" by telling her she looks different. She says, as a matter of fact, this is her. He invites her in. She announces she is there to tel him the truth, her truth. He is no longer smiling

31. Isaura asks if Aurelio and Mario know each other. Mario assures Kassandra that everything is fine, nothing to worry about. Mario says it has been so many years since they have seen each other. Aurelio knows it has been exactly 17 years.Mario and Aurelio leave the table to talk.

32. Vero says when she started all of his she never thought she would fall in love with him. He notices that her tone is different. She says she tried to stop the love she felt for him but couldn't do it. He says he did the same and tells "Consuelo" now they are free. She asks him not to call her "Consuelo". She needs him to listen to her. He agrees but asks her not to leave him because they love each other.He tells her what he thinks of her or feels for her can all change after tonight. He hugs her says there is nothing that could stop him form loving her. She doesn't know how to tell him, it is so hard, she goes on and on and on without being able to tell him what she has to. She cannot continue to betray him. He looks serious.

33. Aurelio tells Mario that he was always the same, a miserable man. He was a rich conceited boy who played around making a simple girl fall in love. He sweet talked her and took the most sacred thing from her and then threw her away like a dirty handkerchief. Mario says that Verónica was and always be the greatest love of his life. Aurelio reminds him that his family always despised her. She was only15. Mario says his family was never going to approve that he marry a girl younger than he was or from a different social class but he was ready to fight for Verónica. Thanks to him threatening charges against him, his parents sent him to England where he started another life. Aurelio says all that his daughter was left with was his abandonment. Mario asks him what happened to Verónica. Is she married? Is she happy? There is only silence.

34. Joaquín is only confused about what Vero is saying or refusing to say. She finally tells him she is Verónica Arellano.

35. Lorena goes begging to Nico not to take her daughter from her. (Puhleze take Crazy Claudia away already!!!)

36. Mario makes it clear he is not planning on causing Verónica any problems. He is open to helping her with money or with anything else in honor of the great love they had. Aurelio says he is about to get married so why would he care about Verónica. Mari only wants to know how she is. Aurelio finally tells him that Verónica is dead.She died several years ago. She is buried next to her mother's tomb. Mario cannot believe it and looks sad.

37. Joaquín cannot believe that she is THE Verónica Arellanos. He is suddenly in the middle of a nightmare. He accuses her of trying to extort Luis for his gambling debts and that is why she was looking for him. She denies it. Why did she infiltrate the house and pretend to be a maid? He has no idea who she is. She keeps beating around the bush which infuriates him and me as well.

38. Nico thinks that Claudia coming to live with him will help her and Claudia repair their relationship. She does not agree. She reminds him of how long she dreamed of him returning. and of them all being a family.He asks her if she is with Facundo now.Claudia saw them kissing. She concludes that he never loved her. He took his love away, so now she is begging him not to take her daughter. He tells her ever since he has been back, she has been making him doubt his vocation.

39. Joaquín cannot take her lies.He finally tells Vero the only important thing is to tell him the truth already. (PLEASE!!) She has no right to talk about love.

Well, as weddings go, that one wasn’t half bad. Sofia’s dress was beautiful, I loved the way they played the theme song during the montage, and it ended with mariachis! If everyone acted more like they were in a soccer stadium than a church, I guess we can look the other way. They’re probably as excited to be wrapping up as we are.

But hasn’t anyone told Carlo his Pop is on the loose? He’s just knocking back Tecates at the bachelor party like he doesn’t have a care in the world.

BTW, my tv schedule shows this tn concluding next Wednesday — so three more episodes. I don’t think we’ll have time for any more weddings with all the anvils that are yet to fall.

Loved "Lorena goes begging to Nico not to take her daughter from her. (Puhleze take Crazy Claudia away already!!!)." Most excellent.

"He has no idea who she is". I am trying to process what appears to be Vero's frustratingly botched version of the truth, (half-truth actually) met by Joaquin's (understandable) frustration and displeasure.

I always wondered why there was nothing, not even the slightest hint as to who Vero's love and father of her child was. As Vero is such a loving and kind person, I did think he was someone whom she loved deeply. Still, we never heard her ruminate as to what happened to their relationship and where he might be. Never in a million years would I ever have suspected Mario!! An unexpected and sobering development; kudos to the writers. I'm smiling that he declared Vero was the love of his life which will be a bitter pill for Kassandra to swallow. Yet another father unaware he has a daughter...

Just when you think he cannot sink any lower, Aurelio blurts out "THEY SHOULD HAVE TOLD HER THE BABY WAS STILL BORN." My mind reels and stomach lurches as "he decides he has to leave and let each of them carry their own cross". Incomprehensible. Now that Mario is part of Aurelio's orbit and given the fact it is a relatively small world, his lie that Vero is dead may well come back to bite him. I can but hope.

Nuria reveals her greedy, grasping nature. She doesn't care about her family at all. What a snake.

"Romina says it is only as a fantasy. Her marriage is bad and this relationship with this other guy is like an escape valve but it still doesn't fix anything. Consuelo says she can call it what she will but it also could be real love". Romina definitely has a soft spot for Ivan, but it seems she realizes the reality of the situation. Let's hope she rather than Consuelo is right. I see Ivan getting back with Olga and her omnipresent fan. I am with Liz in thinking that Romina may get back with Marcos. If he grows up and gets his act together.

Well Grecia certainly is an accomplished liar. She goes to the police (dressed to.the.nines ) and tells them Gonzo hurt her son and stole him. Maybe Limon will testify on his behalf that Grecia neglected the baby, but Limon is also on a vengeance tour so maybe he won't want to help his former boss.

Monique voluntarily committed herself to a psych hospital, so that may be the last we see of her. Or who knows? Keep an eye out for her rehabbed self at the final party.

It would be nice if Ines and Limon turned on Grecia at the end. I don’t have much hope in the lurching FrankenVic. Poor Carlo.
 

Thanks Jarifa, what a great detailed recap of an episode full of surprises. When I saw that Mario and Aurelio knew each other I was thinking another mystery to resolve. But I never dreamed Vero would be the connection. So Vale’s biological dad ordered the deaths of her parents. That’s not going to go over well when everything is uncovered!

I was so mad at Vero. She needed to start with she’s Vale’s mother. She needs to explain she spoke to Susana and they were going to let her meet her daughter. Then she could explain why she entered the house as a housekeeper. I don’t blame Joaquin for being so mad. I hope Vero does a better job on Monday!

Another shock was Rebeca being Mario’s daughter. I wonder if she’ll decide her dad should mess things up for Eleazar. I remember she had once said something about racing and we wondered why she knew that. So we did have a clue!

Nuria seemed a little to pleased with the contract with Mario. I wonder if she’ll decide was promised something extra for her if she voted to merge. And I’m wondering if she’ll decide really has the best interests of the children in mind. I think Luis’ office should have gone to Diego eventually.

Aurelio is hopeless with Vero. He always says the wrong thing. And it looks like he’s the reason she was abandoned while pregnant.

I like how Facundo is now not in the inner circle. Hope this is just the beginning of the end for him.

The paragraph on Nuria had a bunch of typos, or just wrong words! Basically I thought Mario had gotten to her with promises or money and I wonder if she has the best interests of the kids in her decisions. And when I just wrote this it had ”decide” in this twice. I never used that word in either thought about Nuria!

Jarifa, thanks for guiding me through this shocking episode. I'm flabbergasted. Your commentary as always is right on point, like "She [Vero] keeps beating around the bush which infuriates him [Joaquin] and me as well."

By my count, we have a quadrangle with Joaquin, Facundo, and Mario all in love with Vero (except my take is Mario's feelings are genuine while Facundo's are not).

The original of this story must've been written ages ago. If Mario wanted to know what happened to Vero all these years, all he had to do was hit Google.

I'm guessing when Vero was 15 Mario was supposed to be in his 20s, since his parents were able to make him leave the country. But there's a much bigger age gap between the actors. Oh well, the ages have been off from the start with this TN.

Since Vale and Rebeca are about the same age, Mario didn't stay solo long after being forced to leave the love of his life.

Did Vero toss that letter to Joaquin in the trash, where someone will find it and read it?

For someone supposedly into people's aura and energy, Nuria sure is clueless about the hate embedded in Mario and quick to make a decision based on $$$ alone.

Can't wait for Monday's epi.
