Paz kisses Esteban with gusto for 45 minutes, then pulls back and lists all the reasons their amor is imposible. (Fill in your own telenovela trope here.) He reels her back in for another 45, then suggests they have two paths: forget it ever happened and go back to where they were, or continue on the difficult and rocky road full of chutes and ladders and trolls and stuff to the big payoff. Happily, she opts for lengthier-but-more-scenic route #2. But it has to be a Big Secret from everyone who hasn't looked out their window in the past hour and a half, okey?

As they are waltzing back from the Yogurt Happy Place, Gala mentions to Salo that they caught that Rubio guy who killed her mother. Que que que??? Does she have a picture? Of course -- doesn't everyone carry a picture of their mom's murderer on their cell phone? Salo recognizes our favorite fall guy villain and hustles his girl back to the house to share that hot dropped knowledge with the rest of the family.

As they round the corner, Paz and Esteban jump apart like someone shined a flashlight into the back seat of the Buick, but the teenagers don't notice, because they're teenagers. They all compare notes on Rubio's real and purported crimes: extortion, loan-sharking, sexual and general-purpose assault, murder, mayhem, kidnapping, hiding Jimmy Hoffa's body, and showing up to a corporate briefing without a press pass. Did I miss anything? Rubio would probably be really impressed with his own criminal mastermindedness if his career weren't essentially over.

Lupita and a tank top wearing, muscle showing Esteban are in the garden talking about Paz being the first woman he ever noticed since Berenice’s death. He had to be strong for his kids and Lupita totally understands, she had to take care of her children alone, too. And she’s sure their loved ones are watching over them from the sky, wishing for them to be happy.

Lupita mentions how much Paz has been suffering because of the loss of her daughter. She’d want nothing more than for her to find a good man. Esteban agrees, but he’d rather ask her how she feels first. Their road to finding love together won’t be an easy one. And he knows they might look incompatible, but he has humble origins, too. Lupita is a bit worried, because he’s now rich and what about his kids and his suegra?

They hold hands and Esteban promises to protect Paz no matter what.

Vermin got out thanks to his disguise. Paz and Mireya trapped the doctor in the room and explained that the janitor was her ex in disguise and she did not know of his plan. Despite that this was going to violate her professional ethics, the doctor agreed to let them get away but with a warning that the police would be involved sooner or later. Pepa called Paz to update them as to their movements as a little Mission Impossible music accompanied Vermin's escape to the exit. He quickly texted Salomón. He and Pepa then staged a fight on the ground floor to distract others while Paz and Mireya ran out to the taxi cab that Vermin had driven in. Two guards separated the brothers – who were shouting as loudly possible – and dragged them to the exit.

The doctor took a deep breath called for a red alert for a child gone missing. [Rats!]

We get the usual repeat of the last scene of the previous episode. Our protas look like they're going for a kiss, but Paz bails out last minute and they say that it's getting late. Damn it!

Ginebra is having a shower and is thinking about Esteban. She then imagines Esteban being in the shower with her... Yikes. She says something about not having feelings for him(?).

Elvira is still wondering who knows about Ginebra. She mentions that her dad told her her daughter's father is dead. This is a telenovela. How many chances are there that he IS dead? Fobo says that it would be a privilege if she lets him accompany her for the rest of his existence. Elvira gets colder than usual (and that's saying something).

 Luna hugs her grandma and aunt, this time shedding happy tears.

Sal video calls Gala, who is happy to hear from him. Some light flirting happens, and then Sal tells Gala about yaya’s visit, bribe included.

Elvira wonders who is calling to blackmail her. Who could already know about Ginebra? Fogo will take care of it, she needs to focus on bonding with Ginny. Elvira is moved to tears by their possible reunion.

Luna and Lupita were filling jars with ground coffee in the garden. Luna asked Lupita whether she thought her mother was looking for her and whether loved her. Lupita replied in the affirmative, saying she thought her mother could not stop thinking of her for a single second [She has no idea for what reason]. Luna told Lupita she always says such nice things and that she loved her.

Mauro told Mireya that all Ginebra could talk about was finding her daughter and that she had spoken with Paz. He asked if Paz or any other family member might have seen Samara. Mireya said no.

We get a repeat of the last scene of the previous episode, in which Elvira almost has a stroke when she hears Gala telling Esteban Salomón is her boyfriend.

The Robles (Paz's family) and well... Vermin are eating all together. Mireya says that this is a very good opportunity to apologise to Salo with everyone present. All the fam apologies for not believing him, comparing him with his dad and accusing him with no evidence. Salo says he forgives them, but just wants them to trust him from now on, something everyone is eager to do.

We open with Sam/Luna walking around the barrio with her dog-rabbit.

Paz and Mireya still haven't realised Sam/Luna is missing. They're STILL hanging the laundry and are talking about her. Paz says she feels as if God sent them Luna for a reason. Mir replies that she feels as if Luna were her niece. Paz tells her sister she needs help and Mir accepts to "fall in love" with Mauro so she can investigate. Paz thanks her. I guess spying on him is too lame for them, so next logical step: have your sister hit on him. Okay...

Sam/Luna remembers Monito gifting her a pera (pear) and she goes somewhere to look for him.

Esteban asks his MIL to apologise to Lupe. With the number of time he's asked people to apologise to others, I'm shocked he isn't called Esteban Disculpas. Anyway. Elvira of course doesn't and they get in a fight about Esteban Disculpas defending Paz and her family. Esteban says that he's defending what's fair and he knows Paz and her family are good people. "Whether you like it or not, Paz will not lose her job", he adds. Elvira then tells him that his interest in Paz is "suspicious" and screams that she will NEVER let a "servant" become the stepmother to her grandchildren. She leaves and Lupe thanks him, they hug.

Casucha Roble

Paz and Esteban spend the rest of their time on the roof making decisions for other people. Pepa will tutor Bosco in math, whether either of them likes it or  not. (Better lock up the swords!) Gala and Salo will be watched with a jaundiced eye. And meanwhile, Lupita will sub in the Villa de Cortes kitchen so Paz can concentrate on her side-gig of hiding little girls in the bathroom. 

After Esteban rounds up his kids and leaves, Paz follows up with Fermin, who offers her a packet of cash. She accepts on the grounds that she now has another mouth to feed and...upsi! Now she has to fess up that she has Luna. Cara impactada de Fermin, who asks to meet her. "Why??" a baffled Paz asks. Quickly recovering his composure, he growls, "Because I'm your accomplice, that's why." But he loses his cool again when he sees her, going into a dreamy fugue state and stroking her squeaky-clean cheek. 

Paz makes Luna a happy meal shaped like a mermaid or a princess or a shepherdess or something. Luna says it's the best meal she's ever had in her life, or at least she thinks so; she doesn't actually remember. Jaja! Amnesia humor.
