Eva Luna #104 Fri 4/1/11
We start off with Eva being questioned by Marcella’s attorney on the stand.
A: How did you go about working for the Arismendi’s?
E: Leo offered me a job.
A: So Marcella did not interview you for the position.
E: No. But I needed her approval to stay.
A: So tell us exactly what were your job duties?
E: I took care of Don Julio.
A: you made sure he took his medicine?
E: Yes. And I noticed the medicine wasn’t helping him. It was making him worse. I told Marcella
A: are you sure you were giving him the correct dosage?
E: Of course.
A: Is it true that you left that employment and the police were looking for you because you were accused of being a thief?
E: Yes, but I was innocent.
A: Isn’t it a coincidence those days after your disappearance Julio found out his medicine contained poison.
E: Yes. It was just a coincidence. I had nothing to do with that.
Tony and Alicia talk about Marisol. Alicia tells him how much Marisol is loving doing interviews and promoting her album. Tony says sounds like she’s being treated like a queen. Yes, replies Alicia. Wouldn’t you like to be treated like one too asks Tony? Yes, but I’ve given up hope says Alicia. I can treat you like one says Tony. Take care of you and the child you’re expecting. Alicia asks how? You don’t make an honest living. Tony tells her it takes time to get out. She says he’s not a very good person. Neither are you points out Tony. When are you going to tell Eva about the baby?
The prosecutor? asks Renata if it was her responsibility to buy the medicine for Julio.
R: should have been, but Marcella insisted she do it herself.
P: Before Eva, were there other assistants?
R: Yes. They either quit or where fired if they commented that there was something wrong with the medicine.
P: How do you know that?
R: Well, I would listen to the conversations. I remember one case, Rita, was killed in an assault before she was fired.
Next up in the stand is Dr. Garcia. Julio’s friend and accompliance.
A: Is the poison easily bought.
G: I believe so.
A: So anyone present here can buy it?
G: Not in the way it was used.
A: Please explain.
G: The poison had to be chemically altered and that is not available to the public.
Up next to the stand is Daniel.
A: After the death of your parents you were left with no family is that correct?
D: Yes.
A: Who took care of you?
D: Marcella.
A: Who administered your fortune that you inherited?
D: She did.
A: Did you ever suspect anything odd in the administration of your money?
D: No.
A: I understand that she also helped you out when your first wife died.
D: Yes, that’s true.
A: Then how can you think that someone that has shown you so much love have anything to do with the death of your parents?
D: Eva told me what her mother overheard and the investigation they started into the death of my parents.
A: Interesting. The same person who gave the medicine to Julio put that idea into your head.
Up next in the stand is Marcella.
P: Did you know that Pedro Villanueva wanted to sell his stock in the company?
M: No.
P: Have you ever had in your possession the poison that killed the Villanueva’s?
M: No. Never.
P: Where were you when they died?
M: I was at a hotel resting several hours away.
P: While you were there did you rent a car?
M: Yes. I wanted to take a drive and see the sights.
P: Is it true that when you returned home, you had your hand burned?
M: Yes.
P: Did you burn it while setting fire to a car?
Marcella’s attorney objects and says the prosecutor is trying to confuse his client. Judge overrules and tells Marcella to answer the question.
M: I burned my hand at the hotel. It’s ridiculous that they don’t have records of it.
P: Who bought the medicine?
M: I did.
P: Who prescribed it?
M: Dr. Santiago Rivera.
P: Did you have confidence in the doctor’s capabilities?
M: Of course I did. He is a great friend of the family.
P: So that means you know him for many years?
M: Yes.
The prosecutor tells the judge that he’s done questioning Marcella and wants to call in another witness. Marcella’s attorney objects since he did not have advance warning, but the prosecutor says he just found out about him yesterday. Who is this witness asks the judge. Dr. Santiago Rivera replies the prosecutor. Marcella is open mouthed impactada.
Dr. Santiago Rivera is sworn in. Marcella is visibly nervous.
Laurita asks Francisco if he has told Jackie how he feels about her. He tells her no. That these things takes time. Laurita tells him to hurry up before someone else takes her. Francisco says that’s not going to happen. She’s mine and I will not allow it. He has a plan and she’s going to help him with it.
P: Dr. Rivera, are you a personal friend of the accused?
R: Yes.
P: Where did you meet her?
R: At the university.
P: Where you novios?
R: For a while.
P: Why did you break up?
R: I didn’t have money and she put her eyes on a millionaire.
P: What happened afterwards?
R: She married him and later she made a proposition to me.
P: What was it?
R: She would give me 20% if I helped her kill her husband.
Everyone in the courtroom is shocked.
Victoria is banging on the door for someone to let her out. She has completely lost it. A security guard opens the door.
Marcella erupts and calls Dr. Rivera a liar. Judge orders order in the courtroom. Marcella’s attorney tries to calm her down.
P: Did you complete what the accused ask you to do?
R: Yes.
P: How?
R: I gave her some poison and told her how to use it.
P: How many times have you given her this poison?
R: Various times.
P: Be specific.
R: I gave some to her to poison Mr. Villanueva’s parents and first wife.
Marcella’s erupts again. And calls him an idiot.
R: She also poisoned an employee by the name of Rita‘s brother. And her second husband. Leo’s father.
Marcella’s calls him a liar and tells him to shut up. Leo asks her if it’s true. She tells him that he’s lying. Judge wants order in the courtroom. Leo looks crushed. Dr. Rivera tells Leo that Marcella put poison in his dad’s coffee the morning that he died. And tells Daniel that she put poison in his wife’s coffee the night that she died. Marcella is yelling out that Dr. Rivera is lying and for everyone not to believe it. The judge wants her to stop.
The security guard asks Victoria who she is and what’s she’s doing there. He keeps asking her more questions. She just sits there looking frightened. She goes to her purse and he wants to see ID. She reaches in her purse and pulls out mace and maces him. She runs out.
The prosecutor asks Dr. Rivera to tell the court what excuse Marcella gave him for every crime/killing she committed. In Leo’s case she wanted to collect his life insurance; in Daniel’s case she wanted to avoid his parents from selling his stock in the company to strangers and his first wife was because her plan was to have her daughter marry him. And then one day to inherit his stock. And what excuse did she give you do kill Rita’s brother asks the prosecutor. She needed to silence him replies Dr. Rivera. He was going to the police and accuse her of killing his sister. Rita had confessed her suspicions to her brother that Marcella was poisoning Julio. She poisoned them all. Marcella calls him a liar again. The prosecutor presents evidence that all the dead bodies all show that they had the same poison in them. And they all had a connection to Marcella Arismendi.
Francisco has just finished telling Laurita the plan to conquer Jackie. Laurita thinks its all romantic.
Victoria is walking down the street and hails a cab.
The prosecutor is giving his closing arguments.
Eva and Tia are talking. She tells him that the jury is out and hopefully won’t take too long for them to come back. Alicia walks in when they hang up and wants to hear everything that’s going on.
Victoria finds her vehicle.
Daniel can’t believe that Marcella also killed his first wife. She has to pay for everything that she did.
Julio is trying to console Leo.
JoJo and Renata can’t believe how loyal they had been to her. Renata talks about a secret that soon everyone will know.
Liliana runs up to Daniel and lets him know that he has her full support.
Eva tries to console Leo. Leo says today was a very shocking day. Finding out my father was alive and finding out all the things that my mother has done. Eva tells Leo that she knew all along that Julio was alive. Why didn’t you tell me asks Leo? She tells him that Julio asked her not to tell anyone. Leo says she did right. Otherwise everything that happened today would never have seen the light.
Victoria is banging on Liliana’s hotel door. Except Liliana is no longer there. She has moved in with Daniel.
Laurita is unpacking. Jackie is helping her and Laurita notices her sad face. What’s up asks Laurita. Jackie says that Francisco is in love with another woman. She says not to worry. Everything will be alright. Jackie says you know something. Laurita says no, I don’t.
Jury is finally in and the judge asks Marcella to stand. Foreman says Marcella is guilty. Marcella yells no. this is not fair. She grabs the bailiff’s gun. She points the gun at Julio and tells him that she should have killed him with her bare hands. She points it at Eva and says that she gave to take everything that was hers away from her. Daniel is standing in front of Eva.
Jackie keeps asking Laurita if Francisco told her anything. No replies Laurita. What do you mean nothing asks Jackie. Why are you so sure that everything is going to be okay? I don’t know replies Laurita. I just said that so you wouldn’t be sad. That’s all. Jackie begs her to tell her if Francisco said anything.
Marcella tells Eva to stop hiding behind Daniel. Deborah tells Marcella to stop. Marcella tells her that the death of her daughter is the price for your disloyalty. Idiot. Julio tells Marcella to stop. The only one that is responsible for everything is him. Eva has nothing to do with anything. Kill him. Go on kill him. Marcella points the gun at Julio, but says no. Eva has to die first. She points it at Eva and Leo runs up and pushed her arms up and the gun goes off. Officers come and get Marcella. She yells out that she hates Eva. Daniel consoles a crying Eva.
Victoria finds out that Liliana left the hotel a couple of weeks ago. She remembers the last time she saw Liliana.
Laurita calls Adrian to let him know that she’s finally home for good. Laurita lets Adrian in on Francisco’s plan.
Daniel and Liliana talk about the trial on the way home. He hopes that the police will soon catch Victoria and that he can prove to Eva his innocence. Then stop the wedding. Liliana doesn’t like that sound of that.
Jackie is moping around and remembers Humberto. She gives him a call.
Victoria is outside Daniel’s house and sees him drive up with Liliana. She finally realizes that Liliana wanted Daniel all to herself. She tells herself that this is not going to stay like this.
Jackie is cooking and Francisco comes up to talk. He finds out that Humberto invited Jackie out.
The gang gathers at the Arismendi’s house and are relieved that Marcella was found guilty and is behind bars. Leo knew his mother had a strong character, but would never had thought she would have committed such heinous crimes. Especially killing his own father. Julio tells Leo to sit next to him. Julio says that no matter what happened between his mother and him, he will always see Leo has his own son. Leo kisses Julio.
Francisco and Jackie argue.
Leo tells Julio that his words are doing him good right now. Julio says that Leo and Victoria are not responsible for their mother’s bad deeds. Deborah asks if anyone’s heard from Victoria. No, replies Eva. Julio says that he knows she has done some crazy things and should pay for them, but understand she is his daughter. I would like to know where she is to help her. Leo excuses himself to rest and wants to speak to Eva alone.
Victoria says that Liliana will not get her way.
Daniel asks Laurita to forgive him for allowing Victoria to convince him and manipulate both of them to send her away. He should never have allowed it. Liliana butts in and says that once Victoria shows up he needs to finish up the divorce.
Leo tells Eva that without her he would be lost. Their upcoming nuptials is the only thing that is making him happy right now.
Marcella is telling herself that she will get out and seek revenge on everyone. The corrections officer tells her she has a visitor. She yells out that she doesn’t want to see anyone. In strolls Julio and tells her he won’t take too much of her time.
Liliana comes out of the bathroom and finds Victoria in the room. Hola amiga says Victoria.

Eva Luna #103 Thu 3/31/11 ... Lady Bang Bang goes beserk at the return of the living dead ... but who will laugh in the end?

Tony tells Dona Justa her board house will become a stop point at the hollywood/L.A. tours…
Fran is complimenting Jackie on her breakfast… Jackie asks him how it feels to come back to sleep here again… He says he has had time to think and realize he made a mistake… not really sad, but what I lived with Marisol was a crazy moment that passed… want to change now… want to be able to sweep someone off her feet, and not do it based on lies…
In Deborah’s car, detective tells her they found an invoice for a rental car stating she rented a car the day she killed them, and that a doctor assured him they can prove there was poison on the bodies of Daniel’s parents, just have to get Daniel to approve the exhumation of the bodies to get that ball rolling. Deborah is ecstatic…

ML: Ms Gonzalez… how did you get to work at the Arizmendi house?
Eva: Leonardo offered me the job.
ML: Leonardo is the step son of Mr Arizmendi, right?
Eva: Yes.
ML: That means my defendant was not the one that hired you?
Eva: Yes, but I still needed the approval of Dona Marcela to stay.
ML: Please tell us what were your duties.
Eva: I had to take care of Don Julio.
ML: You were the one responsible for him to take his medicine?
Eva: Yes, and I realized that the medicine was not doing him any good… on the contrary, it made him worse… and at that time I told Dona Marcela.
ML: Are you sure you were giving him the right medication, the right Dosis?
Eva: Completely sure.
ML: Is it true that you left that job suddenly?
Eva: Yes.
ML: Is it true that you were accused for stealing?
Eva: Yes, but I didn’t do it! I was innocent! (now Eva is getting visibly nervous)
ML: The fact is that a few days after you left the house, Mr Arizmendi discovered that the medicine bottle contained poison! Doesn’t it sound a coincidence to you that at that time you were gone (desaparecida)?
Eva: Yes, but it was not coincidence, because I had nothing to do with that!!
(Marcela makes a smirk of satisfaction)
Previews: all heck breaks loose in the court room… Dano is the witness of turn… apparently he is trapped into saying Eva was the one who gave Julio the medicine… maybe things turn back against Marcela because seemingly Marcela grabs the guard’s gun and begins to point it to Eva, Dano, Deborah and Julio (we see everyone’s faces in slow motion, and sepia color)… Julio walks over to her.
Jul: The only one responsible for all this is me!! Kill me!! Shoot!! Kill me!! (we see Marcela turn from pointing to Eva and Dano to pointing directly at Julio… Eva screams and they all look very anguished…)

Eva Luna #102 Wed 3/30/11 Marisol is leaving, Ricardo returns, Lily moves in, Vicky is slummin, and Marcella is still in the slammer
We start off with Julio and Eva. Eva has told him that Marcella is in jail. She tells him that Marcella’s ambition had caused her to commit a huge mistake. Julio says it was her ambition and her over confidence and sense of being above the law and thinking that no one would ever discover her bad doings. Eva tells him it is time to prove that Marcella killed Dan’s parents as well as what she did to him. Julio tells her she is right and it is time for him to put into play the final part of his vengeance against Marcella. Eva asks him what he is thinking about doing. Julio tells her to give the final blow, and to make sure she rots in jail for the rest of her life.
Geraldo is telling Marisol he appreciates her honesty. He tells her that he admires her even more for her determination to reach for her dreams. Marisol tells him she will always be grateful to him for all his help. He tells her she can always count on him. He tells her no matter what happens between them he promises he will be at her side during the tour so that everything will turn out marvelously.
Adrian tells Ricardo he can’t leave him. He reminds him that he is like his son and Ricardo is like his father. Ricardo gives him a tight hug.
He tells him he knows this and will always take care of him, but right now he has to leave for a while because Justa loves someone else. Adrian tells him that isn’t so, that he is wrong. Ricardo tells him he saw them embracing. Adrian tells him she was saying goodbye. Ricardo wants to know how Adrian knows this. He tells him that Justa told him. She was crying and the one she loves is him. Ricardo is overjoyed and asks Adrian if this is for certain. We hear Justa’s voice coming from behind and tells him it is certain.
She tells him she went to see Julio to tell him not to look for her any more and to tell him that he and Adrian are her true happiness. And that it is Ricardo that she loves.
Marisol and Alicia are talking. She tells her tomorrow she will be going on tour to promote her disk. Alicia tells her she deserves it. She asks if Fran is going with her. Marisol tells her no and explains that they are separating. She tells her that it is the best for both them. They are better off just being friends.
Justa, Ricardo and Adrian are walking into their courtyard. She tells him this is his home. He tells her he knows that now She tells him not to ever leave again because she almost went crazy. We get more happy hugs as she tells him she loves him with all his heart. Adrian sitting beside them teasingly says “And me? You don’t love me?” We get sweet laughter as they both assure him he is the king of the house and who they love most in the world.
Julio is telling Eva that if it wasn’t for the fact that Justa finally turned him down, he would be really happy. Eva asks if he doesn’t think this would be a good time to leave the past behind and think about making his life with someone else? Julio laughs “You think?” Eva tells him he is a good man, generous, and he deserves to be happy. He tells her he has committed many mistakes with his thirst for vengeance and he abandoned Leo and Victoria. Eva suddenly remembers the Vicky deal and fills him in on the details. She tells him she went nuts and lost her mind. She tried to hurt Laurita, and escaped the police and now they are looking for her. Julio rubs his face in despair at this news.
Said crazy is sitting on the floor with a pack of crackers in her hand (appropriately as she truly is crackers!!)
She is rocking back and forth telling herself that “She (Lily) is going to help me. I am not crazy. I want to leave here. I have to leave here. Lilly will help me She told me she will help me.” as she is saying this her eyes are crazed and she is slowly munching on a ritz.
Marisol has snuck up on Giorgio with the guess who game.
He tells her he knew it was her because of her perfume. They have a sweet little talk. She tells him that the night they met at the cabaret was the best thing that ever happened to her. He was like a gift from God that helped light up her path. He asks her about Fran and she informs him that they are separating. He wasn’t the man for her and she wasn‘t the woman for him. He wishes her the best of luck and great success. He tells her she is best friend and he will always be there for her. More hugs.
Eva has gone over to Dan’s house and is greeted by an elated Jacky. She tells her she came to see Laurita and wants to know how she is doing. She tells her she is upstairs in her room but will be very happy to see her. Jacky asks her what she knows about Vicky. She tells Jacky the police haven’t found her yet. Then she starts to tell her about Marcella. Jacky says Dan already told her and Fran and they can’t believe that Marcella killed Dan’s parents.
Alicia is working on a model who asks her if it true that Marcella is in jail. Alicia tells her she deserves it and hopes she never gets out. They are interrupted by Leo who asks to speak to Alicia alone.
Eva is brushing Laurita’s hair.
She tells Eva she is okay but she is really afraid that Vicky might come back. “What if she comes back and wants to do something really awful to me?” Eva tells her not worry. He father has the police watching the house closely. And she won’t return to her house or Eva’s house neither. She sweetly kisses her on the head. Laurita smiling says “See how much my papa cares about you.” Eva tells her that he wants to protect them both. Then Laurita asks “Are you still thinking about sending my father to jail for the ugly things you think he did?” Eva stops brushing for a moment and tells her “I hope this won’t be necessary. He assures me he didn’t do it and he will clear everything up and I believe him.” Laurita tells her she is absolutely certain that he isn’t to blame for anything. And once he divorces Vicky they both will be able to get married. And we will all be very happy.
As she finishes this sentence who should walk around the corner but Lily all sweet and sassy. She see’s Eva sitting on the bed and says in the most snotty manner “Eva what are doing here?” She tells her she came to see Laurita “And You?” Lilly says “ I just got here, and as of today I will be living here.” Eva says what? Lily tells her Dan invited her to live there. Eva looks over at Laurita and Laurita stares at Lily with quite the face. (one witch down, one to go.)
Lily tells Eva she looks surprised. Eva tells her that she figured Dan might do something like that. After all she is aware that her (Lily) and Dan are very good friends lately. They have a little stare down then Lily walks right past her towards Laurita and says “Laurita my love aren’t you just thrilled that we will be living together?” Laurita tells her she didn’t know any thing about it. Dad hadn’t told her yet. Lily says it just happened when she went to visit Dan at the office. Eva now is standing behind Lily with arms crossed in a very ticked off manner. She then grabs her purse and tells Laurita she has to leave. As she turns to go she literally runs into Dan. They exchange uncomfortable looks.
Alicia asks Leo what he wants in a very annoyed manner. What is he demanding this time. Leo tells her to lighten her tone. She snots off and tells him she will talk how she wants. She tells him that neither him nor his mother will convince her to not have this baby. Leo tells her he knows that she told his mother that Eva made him sign the prenups. Alicia tells him yes and she was glad she did it, because it made her finally loose control and now she is behind bars where she belongs. And if he came to chew her out he might as well just leave. She isn’t having any of it. Leo tells her she is wrong. He tells her he came to tell her she did the right thing.
Dan tells Eva he didn’t know she was at the house. Eva tells him she came to see Laurita but she was just leaving. Dan stops her. He tells her he has to talk to her. She tells him she thinks she knows what he needs to talk about and he doesn’t have to explain anything. She tells him that Lily already told them that he invited her to live with them. He tells her that’s right but that is not what he wanted to tell her. He tells her he just talked with the detective and Marcella was refused bail, and has to stay in jail until the trial. Eva is delighted to hear this. Then Dan points over to Lily to try and explain why she is there. Old Lily interrupts and walks in between them and says “The real reason is because you have such a generous heart and you are very good to me.” Eva looks urked and says excuse me and starts to leave. Dan attempts to stop her but is pulled away by grabby Lily. She tells him she is really grateful that he is letting her stay there and she feels much safer knowing Vicky won’t be able to harm her. Laurita gives looks to kill.
Alicia turns to Leo confused and says “What?” Leo tells her he would never have had the courage to tell his mother the truth that he wanted to marry Eva for love and not money. He was afraid of how she would react. He tells her he was right to have worried about it. Alicia tells him if it wasn’t for the fact that he was such a jerk she might just believe him this time and walks away from him. He stops her and tells her he is being sincere and also wants to apologize for the fact that his mother tried to hurt Eva. Then he tells her he agrees with her and believes she should keep their baby. Alicia is shocked. He tells her he has thought it over and has realized how badly he has treated her.
Back to crazy Vicky now lying down smiling saying “Lily is my friend She will help me. She promised me.” Then she stops and starts crying saying “Daniel,, she has to help convince him to love me again.” She has now taken the fetal position, crying very pathetically saying Daniel’s name. .
Alicia asks Leo if he is serious about keeping the baby. He tells her yes. The only thing he wants is time for them to figure out how to tell Eva. He asks if that is okay. Alicia tells him yes. Then he says they will do the right thing and to trust him. He takes her face in his hands to give her a kiss and Alicia suddenly pulls back surprising both Leo and me. She asks him if he is crazy. And walks away from him. Leo looking at her thinks to himself “Now all I need is time to figure out how to get rid of you and this baby.”
Some Fran and Jacky time. She is asking him if he has done all the chores Dan asked him to do. He tells her yes. He then asks her if they can talk. He tells her it is about him and Marisol. Jacky looks up at him and starts to talk when Dan walks in to tell them that lily will be staying with them for a few days. They both seem quite shocked to hear this as they briefly exchange looks.
They welcome her as Daniel asks Jacky to show her to the guest room. She leaves to show Lily the room. Dan is left with Fran who is giving him the what the heck look. Dan looks back and says what? Then he asks if he is wondering why she is there. Fran tells him no, it is his house he can do what he wants. Then he says “After all we are friends and if you want to tell me what’s going on I am here to listen.” Dan sits down and tells him that Lily came to see him and was really scared because Vicky showed up at the hotel and wants to hurt her. Fran is surprised to hear this and asks if they aren’t friends. Dan tells him they were friends, but now that Vicky is all crazy and she believes Lily is her enemy as well.
Justa and Ricardo are having coffee. Marisol comes in and is happy he is back. She is all excited about her new career. Everyone in the pension is all excited. Tony and Adrian both want autographs. Justa wants to know if Fran knows she is leaving. She tells her no. FF>>>
Dan and Laurita have a little chat about Lily. Laurita asks if he invited her to live there because he likes her. He tells her no. He told her she could stay there a few days because she is afraid that Vicky might hurt her. Laurita seems surprised and says “Really?” He tells her “Really, even though she is very attractive you know who owns my heart.” Laurita smiles and says “Yes, Eva right?” Dan smiles and says yes right back and we have a sweet father daughter hug as he finishes and says “You too.”
Marisol is at Dan’s house and Jacky escorts her to the living room. She tells her she will go get Fran. Before she leaves she tells Jacky she wants to talk to her about Fran .
Eva is talking to a sleeping Pablito and says to Tia “I don’t have any doubt that Lilly is Dan’s new conquest. I am sure he is just waiting to get his divorce from Vicky so he can be with her. And marry her.” Tia tells her she thinks that is very strange because she could swear that Dan is still in love with her. Eva tells her “Well it doesn’t look like it. He invited her to stay at his house. And I have seen them together many times at the office.” Tia looks sad and says this seems to hurt her. Eva lies and says no. She is only telling her this because she wants her to know he is no saint and he keeps telling her that he loves her. Tia sits beside her and says “maybe you are right, but the only thing I am certain of is that you love him more now than ever. Don’t you think that is enough reason not to marry that shameful Leo?” Eva gives this some thought.
Marisol wants to know what Jacky has to say about Fran. She tells her that Fran seems very sad. He doesn’t know what to do and doesn’t want her to know (Or something like that. ) Marisol tells Jacky she knows she cares for him. Jacky tells her that is why she is telling her this. She wants them both to be happy. Marisol realizes that Fran hasn’t told her that they talked yesterday. She tells her that they are separating. She tells Jacky that he needs a person that will love him more than she can and that person is Jacky. Fran walks in. He asks her what she is still doing here. Jacky takes her leave so they can talk in peace.
Marisol tells him she is going on tour. Her song is a big success. Fran pretends to be happy and sarcasticaly tells her it is because she has a good manager. She tells him she will dedicate her first song to him. He shuffles a bit and says fine. Before she leaves she asks him to promise her one thing. She tells him to look for his happiness and that it is very close and he knows that. He sadly then tells her to be happy and take care. They give each other one final hug through tears as we see Jacky looking on behind the door. She walks away as Fran looks on sadly.
Lily walks in on Dan in the kitchen and asks if she is interrupting. He tells her no and asks if she is all settled in. She tells him thank you for all his help and protection . He tells her he is happy to do it. Then she starts with the poor Vicky stuff. She hopes the police find her soon before she causes any more harm. She then says she knows he was with Eva to talk about all the bad stuff Marcella has done to them, but she wants to give him a little advice. Dan asks “what?” she says “Be careful, Eva may just be using you so you can get even and may turn against you again for the death of her father. Remember she believes you are responsible and the reason for this is because she loves Leo and everything he tells her she believes.” Dan gives this some thought.
Lily is on the phone with snakey Leo. She is telling him everything is going perfect. She is now living in Dan’s house all thanks to his crazy sister. Leo tells her she has to act fast before Vicky shows up and they loose everything. She tells him not to worry. Leo tells her she has to make sure that she gets Dan in bed as soon as possible. She tells him he can count on her.
Marcella is being unshackled as Leo is waiting in the visitor’s area to see her. (Elvira you were right, orange is not her color)
Marcella says “ Hello son, I knew you wouldn’t abandon me in these times.” The guard tells her she has 5 minutes. She sits down at the table and Leo reaches out to take her scarred hand. Marcella quickly pulls it away from him. She looks straight at him and says “Get me out of here Leo. Talk to el Gallo and tell him to use his influences that he has in here.” Leo looks at her and says “Tell me one thing. Is it true that you killed Dan’s parents? Is this true?”
Ricardo has come to see Julio. He wants to make sure that he is a man of his word. He tells Ricardo he has nothing to worry about. He also tells him that Justa loves him the way he wished she loved him. He also tells Ricardo that Justa is a marvelous women and wishes them great happiness. They have a gentlemanly handshake.
Marcella tells Leo that it is not true. She had nothing to do with the deaths of Daniel’s parents. She tells him she is offended that he would ask her this. It hurts her that he would doubt her. She has fake tears and everything. Leo now wiping real tears from his eyes asks her to forgive him. He just wanted to hear her say it. He tells her he believes her. Now she lays in on him telling him he is being confused and influenced by Eva. She tells him that they have invented all of this to hurt her and discredit her. She tells him that the two of them want to destroy her and it is his fault that she is there.
Leo tells her to calm down. He asks her if she is trying to tell him that everything that happened at the house last night was false? She tells him no it is true. She tried to kill Eva, but it was his fault. He tries to shush her. She says it was because he did not complete his part. It was his fault that she had to do it. She continues “You are my son and you need to help me!” He says “Fine mama, but I plan on marrying Eva and I love her and if you ever put a finger on her I will have no choice but to go up against you.” Marcella is truly shocked to hear this.
Tony has come to see Alicia and has a big red package. She opens it and caresses it sweetly as she smiles saying it is the first gift she has received for her baby. Tony looks on pleased.
He tells her he sincerely loves her. And he cares for her baby as well. Alicia looks a little suspicious as Tony continues talking. He tell her that what he wants to say right now might make her feel a little pressured and may sound a little crazy but then he asks her if she will marry him. Alicia has nystagmus
at hearing this as her eyes bounce around in her rattled little head.
She takes the bear and puts it back in the bag thanking him for his proposal and his gift. Tony stops her and tells her to answer him with a yes to be his wife. Alicia tells him she can’t. Tony asks her why not. He tells her he has changed. He is not the same person he was before. She tells him that is not true. He hasn’t changed a bit. She tells him he is still the right hand man for a member of the mafia. He is a delinquent and a con man. At hearing these words we see Tony take some notice to what she is saying. She tells him she doesn’t mean to be cruel but what can he offer her and her child. Tony looks at her and says “Absolutely nothing Alicia. You are right. Who is Tony? I’m nobody. I don’t have anything. But if that is the only thing that separates me now from you and your child I will do something that I should have done a long time ago.’ Alicia is intrigued and asks him what? He tells her she will soon find out and leaves a very curious Alicia behind.
Marisol is packing. Violet notes that she hasn’t packed a lot. Marisol thinks it is best she not take all her cabaret out fits. Justa enters and tells her Geraldo is waiting for her. She thanks Justa for putting up with all her defects. Justa tells her that God helped her because he knew she had a good heart.
Alicia and Tia are talking. Alicia becomes faint. Tia is worried about her. Alicia assures her it is nothing. Tia is not buying this and tells her she needs to go see a dr. She thinks Alicia is hiding something and wants the truth. Alicia finally tells her she is pregnant. Tia is shocked.
Every one at the pension is giving Marisol a big send off. Ricardo gives her a big hug. Tony is a bit uncomfortable and tells her he doesn’t like all the sadness. He says “what about a hug for your brother.”
It is a sincerely good hug!!
He tells her she is now a famous singer. She tells him “Look at what I was able to do. I followed my dreams. You can do it too. Promise me you will do it. And if you love Alicia now is when you have to fight for her.” Through tears Tony shakes his head yes and says “ I will do it Marisol. You will be very proud of your brother Tony.” She tells him she will miss him very much.
Last scene of the night. Leo walks over to Eva and kisses the top of her head. He asks her how she is and sits down at the table beside her. She tells him not very enthusiastically that she is fine. He asks her if something is wrong. She looks worried. She tells him she is. She tells him she has to talk to him about something that she doesn’t know how he will take. He asks her what is it about? She tells him it is about their wedding. We get our zipping music and that is where we end.

Eva tells Leo they have to postpone the wedding until after his mother’s trial.
Marcella’s day in court has arrived and a very powerful card is put into play.
There is a surprise witness with total “shock and awe” sent through the courtroom.

Eva Luna #101 Tue 3/29/11 Orange does not become her.
Eva Luna for March 29, 2011
The recap is UP! Video clips coming later. I need a nap. LOL.
Episode 101
Marcela is handling her gun in her office and talking about doing Eva in. Renata looks hesitant about this, but Marcela blows her off. Renata then leaves and sees Eva and says she's got something to tell her. But it appears that before Renata can say anything, Marcela appears with a gun and points it at them both!
Justa goes into her bedroom looking for something and sees a note on the bed left by Don Ricardo. He's bowing out so she can be happy with Julio. But that's not what she wanted! She chose him over Julio, after all!
Eva and Renata are facing Marcela at the end of a gun. In rushes Dan. Now Marcela points the gun at all of them and is threatening to kill them. She says her plan is to tell the police that she came home and robbers had killed all three of them, including the "faithful" Renata. (She now knows that Renata ratted her out.)
Dan brings up her killing his parents. "Ah, you've been talking to Deborah!" she cries.
Justa rushes into Adrian's room. Where is Don Ricardo? Adrian doesn't know. You know how the rest of the scene is going to go. She tells him what's going on. Lots of tears.
For sanity's sake, again I will be combining and consolidating scenes, due to all the quick cuts.
Marcela presses the trigger on the gun and NADA! Nothing. Renata had removed the bullets. Renata steps forward and tells the whole story. She took the bullets out of the gun. She called Eva and told her everything. Dan was told too (I think). "Your murders are over!" they tell her, as the police come in, guns drawn, and surround her. Marcela looks less than pleased about this.
As she is being dragged away, she yells, "You can't do this, you don't know who I am! I am Marcela Arismendi!" Eva and Dan remind her that she's nobody. Dan says he's going to prove that she killed his parents. She screams back, "Nobody can prove that! But I will return and kill you all! I am Marcela Arismendi!" She is dragged off by the police, still screaming.
Lileach is brining supplies to Icky, who is hanging out in some ratty dump. Icky believes that Lileach is working on convincing Daniel to forgive her and take her back. Liliana says she's working on it, but it'll take time. But Icky can't leave that apartment, because they'll catch her and put her in the looney bin. To this Icky starts screaming that she's not crazy! She's not!
Lileach has this whole freaky enabling line where she tells Icky that only she (Lileach) can keep her out of the mental hospital. Icky is totally dependent on Lileach.
Back to the big house, the police are saying that Marcela thought she was invincible, and this is what brought her down. Dan hopes that they can find proof that she killed his parents. The detective says there are new forensic methods they can use and he's hopeful. Dan and Eva hope that she's in prison for many years. Then Renata says that she shouldn't have been surprised that Marcela turned against her in the end. Everyone thanks Renata for her help and she says she only did the right thing.
Daniel is leaving the house now. Eva thanks him for his help. He says they'll talk tomorrow. He also says that together they took down Marcela and she doesn't have to thank him for anything. He has this hopeful puppydog look on his face.
Marisol, Adrian and Justa talk about where Don Ricardo is and what's going on, blah blah blah. Justa laments that all she wanted to do was say goodbye to Don Julio, she doesn't want to be with him, she wants Ricardo!
We cut to Ricardo, walking down some city street, crying and lamenting too, over the loss of Justa as well as Adrian.
Deborah, Tia Tilde and Eva are regurgitating the latest news about Marcela, chatting about it all. They're going to tell Don Julio but he's probably sleeping right now.
Justa tells Adrian that she's going to go to church, to pray for the return of Don Ricardo. Adrian wants to come along too.
We cut to Renata talking to herself about her still unconfessed truth about the stolen baby of Justa and Don Julio. They must know what I did, she thinks. I can't live with this sin any longer!
We have a scene of a shell-shocked Marcela being escorted into the police station and booked. Everyone is talking in English. I always find the use of English in this telenovela fascinating. It seems to be showing us that this is a cold and scary place. The policewomen are impatiently barking orders (in English) to those being booked. As Marcela is being fingerprinted, the policewoman says curtly in English, "Your hand! Give me your other hand!" and Marcela, greatly humiliated, unfurls her burned hand to have it fingerprinted.
Marcela's beloved son, Leo, is oblivious to Marcela's distress, because he is making out with a hot babe in a red dress in Gallo's office. Gallo appears and shoos the girl away. "Go!" he tells her, in English.
They laugh about all the money Leo has lost in gambling. Then Leo gets a phone call about Mommy being in jail. "No puede ser!" Leo yells.
Justa and Adrian are in church, praying for the return of Don Ricardo, and saying how much they love him and miss him.
Tony hears Marisol's song on the radio. He's elated and yells for her to come listen. Much rejoicing and happiness from Marisol and Tony, and Tony seems genuinely happy for her success.
Eva and Alicia recycling all the stuff that has been going on. Discussing Renata. Eva thinks that Renata turned to the Good Side when she discovered that Marcela was poisoning Don Julio.
Alicia tells Eva that she feels partly to blame for Marcela's meltdown, because she told her that Leo signed the prenup and that Leo wouldn't inherit any money. Then Leo bursts in, all aflame with outrage over Mommy being arrested.
Tony and Marisol and rejoicing over her success as Francisco listens in, looking distressed. "The only thing that matters is singing!" Marisol is telling Tony. Francisco chooses this time to come in and congratulate her, his attitude that of sadness, and imply that her singing is more important than anything—including him. (He doesn't say this but you can tell.) She chases after him as he walks away.
Eva explains that Marcela tried to kill her and that's why she's in jail. That cools down Leo a bit. He pretend to be shocked, like he didn't expect that she could do something like that.
Heartfelt discussion between Marisol and Francisco. Let's pull the plug and be happy as friends, he is saying. They both look choked up. They agree that maybe divorce is the best thing, but neither of them look happy about it.
Marcela is wearing a new wig, which is down in a ponytail sort of thing, and being escorted to her cell. She looks very unhappy, and the orange does not suit her. It doesn't make her caboose look any smaller, either. (It wouldn't help my caboose either!) She curses Eva for all of this.
Leo is trying to explain away Marcela's confession about killing Daniel's parents. He's saying that it was an accident, that Marcela didn't do it, she's drunk blah blah blah. But he says if she did do it, it would be a great blow. Then he turns the puppydog eyes on her and asks that she not dump him due to what his mom did. She says she won't.
Marisol goes in to see the music guys. Her song is doing awesome. It is one of the most requested songs on the radio.
Justa comes to visit Renata. Renata wants to talk.
Marcela gets a visit from her lawyer.
Clingy Lileach comes into Daniel's office and pleads with Daniel for his help, while hugging him. Naturally Eva peeks in through the door at this moment. As Lileach continues to cling, Eva gets the wrong idea and leaves. Idiot!
Lileach has some sob story. Icky is out to get her because she thinks she (Lileach) is after Danny! (Well, it's true about the last part!) "Protect me!" she pleads, clingingly.
Eva is an idiot and assumes this means that Dan and Liliana are an item. Idiot!
Justa is telling Renata the whole love-triangle story about Julio and Ricardo, blah blah blah. Renata says that she's got something to tell Justa.
Marcela's lawyer reminds her that she tried to kill three people the night before. The judge has refused jail. She's a very dangerous person. Marcela denies it all, of course. The lawyer asks her to level with him and tell him the truth about what happened.
She tells him to convince the authorities that she only pulled the trigger because she knew the gun was empty. She just wanted to scare them. And she was drunk and her nerves were all over the place. The lawyer says he'll do his best.
Marisol is is rejoicing over the success of her song. She's told that the public loves her. They want her to participate at various events. Tomorrow you'll go on tour! She comments that this is strange, because now she's free to go—she's separated from her husband so they can go their separate ways.
Don Ricardo is at the Greyhound station, feeling sorry for himself now that Justa is out of his life. But he worries about Adrian's happiness.
At Don Julio's house, the good doctor is telling Don Julio that he had no reason to expect that Justa would fall into his arms after so many years. Don Julio says he let himself be dazzled by the flash of Marcela.
Cute music label guy (Gerardo! It's Gerardo, right?) asks to be left alone with Marisol, after this news that she's separated. She confirms to him that she's getting divorced. She tells him that her marriage to Francisco was full of lies and madness. He tells her that he not only fell in love with her voice, but her, as a woman, and he hopes he can have a chance with her. She says that she's not ready for anything yet, that she doesn't love him as he deserves to be loved, and that if she divorces Francisco, that she needs to focus on her singing career.
Don Ricardo has returned and greets Adrian. Adrian hugs him and is elated to see him.
Eva visits Don Julio and tells him about Marcela's mishaps. She thinks it's time to tell everyone about what he tried to do with Daniel's parents. Julio says cryptically that finally it's time for him to give the "final blow," and she'll be in prison for a long time. End of episode!

Episode 101
Marcela is handling her gun in her office and talking about doing Eva in. Renata looks hesitant about this, but Marcela blows her off. Renata then leaves and sees Eva and says she's got something to tell her. But it appears that before Renata can say anything, Marcela appears with a gun and points it at them both!
Justa goes into her bedroom looking for something and sees a note on the bed left by Don Ricardo. He's bowing out so she can be happy with Julio. But that's not what she wanted! She chose him over Julio, after all!

Eva and Renata are facing Marcela at the end of a gun. In rushes Dan. Now Marcela points the gun at all of them and is threatening to kill them. She says her plan is to tell the police that she came home and robbers had killed all three of them, including the "faithful" Renata. (She now knows that Renata ratted her out.)
Dan brings up her killing his parents. "Ah, you've been talking to Deborah!" she cries.
Justa rushes into Adrian's room. Where is Don Ricardo? Adrian doesn't know. You know how the rest of the scene is going to go. She tells him what's going on. Lots of tears.
For sanity's sake, again I will be combining and consolidating scenes, due to all the quick cuts.
Marcela presses the trigger on the gun and NADA! Nothing. Renata had removed the bullets. Renata steps forward and tells the whole story. She took the bullets out of the gun. She called Eva and told her everything. Dan was told too (I think). "Your murders are over!" they tell her, as the police come in, guns drawn, and surround her. Marcela looks less than pleased about this.
As she is being dragged away, she yells, "You can't do this, you don't know who I am! I am Marcela Arismendi!" Eva and Dan remind her that she's nobody. Dan says he's going to prove that she killed his parents. She screams back, "Nobody can prove that! But I will return and kill you all! I am Marcela Arismendi!" She is dragged off by the police, still screaming.
Lileach is brining supplies to Icky, who is hanging out in some ratty dump. Icky believes that Lileach is working on convincing Daniel to forgive her and take her back. Liliana says she's working on it, but it'll take time. But Icky can't leave that apartment, because they'll catch her and put her in the looney bin. To this Icky starts screaming that she's not crazy! She's not!
Lileach has this whole freaky enabling line where she tells Icky that only she (Lileach) can keep her out of the mental hospital. Icky is totally dependent on Lileach.
Back to the big house, the police are saying that Marcela thought she was invincible, and this is what brought her down. Dan hopes that they can find proof that she killed his parents. The detective says there are new forensic methods they can use and he's hopeful. Dan and Eva hope that she's in prison for many years. Then Renata says that she shouldn't have been surprised that Marcela turned against her in the end. Everyone thanks Renata for her help and she says she only did the right thing.
Daniel is leaving the house now. Eva thanks him for his help. He says they'll talk tomorrow. He also says that together they took down Marcela and she doesn't have to thank him for anything. He has this hopeful puppydog look on his face.

Marisol, Adrian and Justa talk about where Don Ricardo is and what's going on, blah blah blah. Justa laments that all she wanted to do was say goodbye to Don Julio, she doesn't want to be with him, she wants Ricardo!
We cut to Ricardo, walking down some city street, crying and lamenting too, over the loss of Justa as well as Adrian.
Deborah, Tia Tilde and Eva are regurgitating the latest news about Marcela, chatting about it all. They're going to tell Don Julio but he's probably sleeping right now.
Justa tells Adrian that she's going to go to church, to pray for the return of Don Ricardo. Adrian wants to come along too.
We cut to Renata talking to herself about her still unconfessed truth about the stolen baby of Justa and Don Julio. They must know what I did, she thinks. I can't live with this sin any longer!
We have a scene of a shell-shocked Marcela being escorted into the police station and booked. Everyone is talking in English. I always find the use of English in this telenovela fascinating. It seems to be showing us that this is a cold and scary place. The policewomen are impatiently barking orders (in English) to those being booked. As Marcela is being fingerprinted, the policewoman says curtly in English, "Your hand! Give me your other hand!" and Marcela, greatly humiliated, unfurls her burned hand to have it fingerprinted.
Marcela's beloved son, Leo, is oblivious to Marcela's distress, because he is making out with a hot babe in a red dress in Gallo's office. Gallo appears and shoos the girl away. "Go!" he tells her, in English.
They laugh about all the money Leo has lost in gambling. Then Leo gets a phone call about Mommy being in jail. "No puede ser!" Leo yells.
Justa and Adrian are in church, praying for the return of Don Ricardo, and saying how much they love him and miss him.
Tony hears Marisol's song on the radio. He's elated and yells for her to come listen. Much rejoicing and happiness from Marisol and Tony, and Tony seems genuinely happy for her success.
Eva and Alicia recycling all the stuff that has been going on. Discussing Renata. Eva thinks that Renata turned to the Good Side when she discovered that Marcela was poisoning Don Julio.
Alicia tells Eva that she feels partly to blame for Marcela's meltdown, because she told her that Leo signed the prenup and that Leo wouldn't inherit any money. Then Leo bursts in, all aflame with outrage over Mommy being arrested.
Tony and Marisol and rejoicing over her success as Francisco listens in, looking distressed. "The only thing that matters is singing!" Marisol is telling Tony. Francisco chooses this time to come in and congratulate her, his attitude that of sadness, and imply that her singing is more important than anything—including him. (He doesn't say this but you can tell.) She chases after him as he walks away.

- Marcela flips her lid, pulls out a gun on Eva, Renata, and Dan. She admits to enough crimes to put her away. Which, thankfully, happens, because the police were waiting and listening.
- Renata saved the day by taking out the bullets in Marcela's gun. Renata still is troubled by the whole baby-stealing business, though. I think Renata's story is going to resolve pretty soon.
- Don Ricardo is convinced that Justa is going to choose Don Julio, so he takes off, leaving a note for Justa, who of course chose him, not Don Julio. Lots of big-eyed overacting from Justa for the entire episode as she laments losing Don Ricardo. He shows up at the end, though, in a scene with Adrian.
- Leo chews out Eva for the arrest of his mommy dearest, but backs off a tad when he finds out she was going to kill everyone.
- It looks like Francisco and Marisol are headed for divorceville. Cute label guy (still can't remember his name, sorry) is so not unhappy about this news, as he tells Marisol. But she doesn't get carried away with cute label guy just yet—she's still married, after all.
- Marcela ends up in jail with a not-fetching orange jumpsuit. (And it looked so good on Carlos. But I guess orange is not Marcela's color.) You know things are going to be bad in jail because when she is being booked in, everyone speaks in English. Uh oh.
- Icky is hiding out in some nasty place and Lileach is enabling her and helping her out. Not sure what else is going on there, need to rewatch.

Eva Luna #100 Mon 3/28/11 Julio Gets The Boot; Dan Receives Mana From Heaven; Marci Un-Masks
Cap. #91
As we begin, Eva greets Leonardo with the fact that Victoria absconded with Laurita; she forced Eva to meet her where she had taken Laurita by threatening her; and then she would have killed the two of them if Daniel hadn’t arrived in time with the police. Leo apologizes for not knowing and then asks about his sister. Eva grumbles that she’s run off and the police are after her. Once that’s out of the way, Eva wants an explanation about the intimate photos Dan told her Leo showed him. Leo denies knowing anything about any intimate photos of the two of them in bed. (Ok. Tell me you didn’t already suspect he’d lie and she’d buy it.)
Leo once again makes scrambled eggs out of Eva’s brains. He claims it is a lie and that Eva should know that because she was there and heard the conversation. Eva reminds him she was in the shower part of the time and didn’t hear it all. Leo says even so, if there had been compromising photos, Daniel wouldn’t have looked through the whole house for her. He convinces her that it’s all a big lie to make her doubt his side of the story about her father’s death since the two of them never had sex together.
At the boarding house, as Marisol and Francisco get ready for bed they each think to themselves that things just aren’t going to work out because they are too incompatible. Mari realizes she’s too independent and Franc realizes the two of them want different things out of life. Neither wants to hurt the other by admitting what they really think, though. FF>>
The next day Justa gets ready to meet Julio. She takes out the pearl necklace and tells herself she knows what she has to do. She puts the necklace in her purse and then has to fib to Ricardo on her way out about having to meet Beatriz. Once she’s gone, Don Ric tells himself she is going to see Julio and he’s certain she’ll be leaving him for good.
The Buick people come by to deliver a brand new sedan to Eva as a personal gift for the terrific ad she developed for them. Eva hesitates to accept it because it was a team effort, but in the end she accepts and drives it home. (Eva, I’m disappointed in you! I thought you’d have sold it, divided up the cash and shared it with the team! How soon we forget!)
Marcela and Leo discuss Icky’s being a fugitive from the law. Marci and he determine that if Icky gets locked up they can kill off Dan and daughter and get hold of Dan’s fortune that way. Leo says he’ll leave the details up to her but for now he’s more worried about getting rid of Eva’s sister, or at least the baby she’s expecting. Marci is fit to be tied. She screams that she thought he’d have learned his lesson already. Leo whines and asks her to fix things like she did the last time with Claudia, or else Eva will never marry him and their plans to get back their fortune will be shot to pieces. (What’s a mother to do, right?)
Across the hall, Giorgio stops in to tell Dan that he can prove Dan’s innocence and that Leo is actually the guilty one. Dan is elated and wonders how he knows. Gg tells him he overheard Leo himself telling his mother this the other day. Dan asks if he’ll testify for him and Gg says of course, though he hates biting the hand that’s fed him all these years. His conscience wouldn’t let him sleep, though. Unfortunately, he reminds Dano, it will be his word against theirs and they’ll accuse him of defamation. Dan agrees and suddenly has a way to absolutely prove his innocence.
Dano races off to tell Eva. He walks into her office uninvited and surprises her with a humongous smooch. She slaps him. He gets a goofy grin on his face and asks if she wants to hit him again. He tells her that very soon he’s going to be able to prove to her that he didn’t kill her father. She’ll have a ton of reasons to believe in him then. Eva’s upset because of his making her out to be a nitwit in front of Leo again. Why? Leo told her there weren’t any bedroom pictures and he told her the truth! Why? There weren’t any because they’ve never had sexual relations, just like she told him before! Dan says he isn’t wasting his time arguing over it with her. If she really believes in him, then listen to her heart, he tells her. “--I assure you that you won’t be sorry!” He gives her a huge smile and races off.
Meanwhile, Marci has sent for Alicia. Ali arrives and Marci lets her know that she’s aware Ali’s expecting Leo’s baby. Yes, Leo gave her the news. “--He asked me to convince you not to have this child.” Ali tells her they’re wasting their time and gets ready to leave. Marci warns her that if Eva doesn’t marry her son she’ll suffer the consequences. Ali figures she’s had enough of the bitch-witch’s bullying threats and finally gives Marci as good as she gets. “--Well, the one who’d better get ready to suffer the consequences is you! My sister had a pre-nup drawn up and do you want to know the best part? Leo signed it! That’s what you were expecting from this marriage--the money, right ? Well, FYI, Leo will never ever get her money, much less you!!”
Julio is pacing in the park where he and Justa are supposed to meet that morning and worries that she won’t show. She does show up, though and Ric has secretly followed her. He watches the two of them talk from a distance. Justa finally admits to Julio that she does love him, but that it really is over between the two of them. She has a new life and a family that love and need her. She loves Ricardo and Adrian and needs them just as much as they need her. Julio made his choice years ago when he decided to marry Marcela and there’s essentially no turning back the clock. His insistence forced her to realize this and to eventually make this choice, seeing that her future is with them, not Julio. He tells her he envies her new life and having people who love and need her. She gives him back the pearl necklace. They hug in a farewell embrace. Don Ric, hidden behind the trees, thinks it means that she’s accepted Julio’s advances. Of course, it’s just the opposite. He goes off to grieve.
Back in Marci’s office, she calls Ali a liar. Ali tells her to ask her adored little boy if she doesn’t believe her! Neither of them will ever have a red centavo of Eva’s money! Who says so? Eva! “--Oh, and by the way, tell Leo that you weren’t able to convince me not to have this kid. Absolutely nobody will be able to convince me of that! Your grandchild will be born, Sra.!!” Ali exits stage left. Marci flops down in her leather chair and thinks back to Leo’s version of signing a prenup agreement, and his saying that it was his idea and that he came out on top. She begins to cry about how he lied to her, and all because of Eva!! Mama will not forgive him for this!
The receptionist tells Leo that she thinks Rosaura left for good and isn’t coming back. Leo says then to hire somebody new for him. The receptionist says she hopes she didn’t get into some kind of trouble because of “that man”, but before she can explain what she means, mad and menacing Marci storms back into Leo’s office and screams at the receptionist to get out! She starts beating on Leo’s chest. Mad Mama tells him that he’s a miserable loser who bites the hand the feeds him. She can’t believe he’d have signed the prenup since the idea was to marry Eva and then kill her for the money! Leo says he was forced to sign it or she’d never have married him. She’s got to understand that he loves Eva with all his might! He has from the first time he saw her. He knew that if he told Mama the truth she would have opposed the marriage.
Marci slaps him across the chops and calls him an idiot who let himself be coaxed by the whore to betray her by choosing Eva over her! “--You tricked me!” (Hey, pat yourself on the back. He learned from the best.) “--You fool!” Leo just doesn’t see it that way. She slaps Leo again and tells him that he failed her and he has disappointed and mocked her. Her son! He offers to transfer all his stock shares over to her. Oh! Big whoop! Mama reminds him that nobody makes a fool of her! “--You know me very well and nobody--not you nor anybody--makes a fool of me! Whoever does so pays for it! (I believe Mama Marci has just laid out the black gauntlet to Leo.....) She storms out of his office. Leo looks more than a bit shaken. (Good! Be afraid, Leo! Be very afraid!)
Adrian visits Laurita in the garden and brings her flowers. He’s sorry for her ordeal. She thanks him and says if they were older she’d marry him. He gets all “ah shucks” over that. (Hey, I like Adrian with his hair all grown out.)
Violeta comes by to visit Mari and thank her for putting Damian behind bars. Mari admits to her that she and Franc are very different and that it’s not really working out but she hasn’t told him yet. Mari tells her if things work out and she gets famous, she wants Violeta to be her personal assistant. At the same time, Franc admits to Jackie the same thing, but blames himself. Jackie thinks to herself that Mama told her guys like this have to figure things out on their own. If he loves her he’ll be back and if he doesn’t, then it was never meant to be.
Marci visits El Gallo and gives him a check for services rendered. They kiss on the mouth. (Another EWWW!) After the small talk about Bruno and Rose, she tells him she wants a gun from him. Why? She plans on killing Eva now. (This is definitely a woman after his own heart--that is, if El Gallo has one. Two stone killers. What a match.)
That evening, Marci returns to the manse and forces Renata to help her con Eva into going into the living room so Marci can kill her. Ren hasn’t got a choice. Eva gets home. Ren tells her there’s something important she needs to talk to her about in the living room. Pleas hurry! They walk in. Marci jumps out of nowhere with the gun in her hand, waves it around, and screams at Eva. “--Your glory days have come to an end, you miserable, social-climbing wench!”
