RINGO
Ep. 36, Part 1: You Bring Me Up (to Bring Me Down)

Ringo is at a bar drinking his sorrows away. Manuel is with him and suggests that he yell or cry but drinking is not the way to handle things. When Ringo tells him about Gloria wanting to take Santi, Manuel assures him that he will do whatever he can. Ringo then tells him about Julia asking him to transfer; so, Manuel advises that he get away from he, but Ringo wants to at least be close enough to see Julia from afar.

Rosa beams with happiness as she thanks everyone for what they have done. Tere tells her that it was Oso’s idea; and Gauchin points out that he helped too. After Oso introduces himself, Rosa introduces everyone else. The mother then thanks everyone for bring so good to her daughter. Rosa sheds happy tears as she caresses and carries her daughter.

Manuel takes Ringo home and has to help him unlock the door. Once inside and alone, Ringo gets another bottle from a drawer and pours himself another drink. He looks at a picture of himself and calls himself a coward; he wonders if he is going to allow himself to lose…he needs to do something!

Oso offers his place to Rosa and her family. After the mother and Rocio leave, Rosa hugs Oso since no one had down so much for her and wonders how she will show him how grateful she is. Oso assures her that seeing her happy is enough. After Rosa leaves, Oso dances a little jig,

Ringo arrives at the Garay house and enters the kitchen where Julia notes how drunk he is. She tries to leave but he holds her back; he wants to talk to her. She laughs since he can barely talk and asks him to leave, but Ringo knows that she really doesn’t want him to leave. Ringo then pulls her so that they can leave together. Ringo points out that they are both victims of that guy upstairs. Julia still tries to get him to leave, but Ringo insists on trying to get her to admit that she loves him. After Ringo tells her he loves her, Julia thinks some coffee will help him. Ringo continues to point out ways that Julia has shown that she really wants to be close to him. When Diego calls out, Julia leaves Ringo in the kitchen to see what Diego wants. Diego complains about the loud music coming from the neighbor’s house; so, Julia tells him that she will take care of it and orders him back to the bedroom. Julia then goes back to the kitchen and helps Ringo out.

Oso hopes that Rafa doesn’t mind sleeping in the boxing ring; so Rafa assures him that he doesn’t mind since it’s for Rosa. Oso feels bad about making Rosa fight a fixed fight, then smiles with satisfaction as he tells Rafa that he had never seen Rosa so happy. When Rafa says “Good night, Dad,” Oso is deeply touched and says “Good Night, son.”

Julia has taken Ringo home and is still struggling with him since he is staggering. She knows what he needs, so she takes him to take a shower. After she helps him out of his clothes (except his pants, darn!), she pushes him into the shower, but he pulls her in with him and holds her tight. The water soaks them, but it can’t extinguish their fire and they kiss.

Diego is in bed and can still hear the loud music so he calls Bernardo and orders him to take care of it. Meanwhile Julia is still in the shower with Ringo when Diego calls her. Ringo wants to answer the phone and talk to Diego, but Julia takes the phone from him. As they talk, Teresa calls out, so Ringo shouts to her that he is there and she shouldn’t worry. Julia then runs out right before Teresa approaches and scolds Ringo for being drunk.

RINGO
Ep. 36, Part 2: You Bring Me Up (to Bring Me Down)

Benda calls Juancito to complain about the music, but Juancito tell her that they are having a blast; she should come over and bring Julia with her.

Diego catches Julia coming inside. When he asks why she is all wet, she tells him that she went over to Juancito’s, but he and his friends threw her into the swimming pool. When she goes off to the bathroom, Brenda enters and asks her where she was; so, Julia uses the same lie (Busted!).

In the morning, as they have breakfast, Ivan complains about the loud music, then mentions that he wants to go to Zorra’s fight. Julia doesn’t think he should go since he was ill…then is wonders why he got sick all of sudden. When Elsa tells Julia that Bernardo wants to talk to her, Julia goes out and Bernardo tells her that Ringo has not shown up; she has Bernardo call him. After Ringo tells Bernie that he overslept, Julia gets the phone and asks why he is late. Ringo sarcastically reminds her that she asked him to leave and now she is calling him to go work, so he is confused. He would rather that she tells him that she misses him. Julia becomes frustrated and asks if he is going to show up, so he bluntly tells her, “No.”

Oso goes to see Rosa who continues to express her gratitude and doesn’t know how she will repay him. Oso reminds her that she has done a lot for him too…she lighted up his life. Just then, Julia calls Rosa so Rosa tells her about the big surprise she got. Oso exits as Julia tells Rosa that she will go right over.

Gauchin calls Oso to show him all the moisture on the wall. Manuel then calls and asks Oso if he has seen the moisture in the wall between he gym and his warehouse. After Manuel demands that he’d better take care of it, Oso insists that the water is coming from Manuel’s office.

Ringo arrives and sees Rosa. After they talk about her mother and daughter, Ringo asks if she is ready for her fight. He encourages her to fight her best and show everyone who “Rosa la Maravillosa” is. As Rosa gets emotional, Julia arrives and throws Ringo some snide remarks since he didn’t show up to work, and Ringo quickly throws them right back at her. After Rosa leaves, Ringo thinks Julia came to see Rosa as an excuse to see him. Julia scoffs and tells him that she will speak better of him if he quits. Ringo won’t make it that easy for her and is tired of his indecision. When Julia retorts that she is also tired since she has told him that she wants to make things work with Diego, Ringo asks why she kissed him in the shower; he was drunk but he remembers everything. He then points out how she always makes excuses—Brenda’s condition, her father’s illness, Diego getting shot….and thinks that Julia just doesn’t want to be happy.

Carrizo brings Tamara Madrigal, a hand and card reader, to meet Turco. When she reads his hand, and tells him that his lines indicate bad luck, Turco points out all the money he has and the fights he has won. She also sees sadness and asks if his mother abandoned him. She continues that she sees many trip, hard times and loss of money. When she mentions that his fate was marked on the day he was born, Turco argues that he will change his luck.

Oso sees Manuel at the gym and asks what he is doing there. When they start arguing about the leak in the wall, Max interjects that there are no water pipes in the warehouse so the leak has to be from Oso’s bathrooms. Oso brings up some remodeling that Manuel did and reminds Manuel that they have been friends for a long time and doesn’t want some broken pipes to come between them. He then suggests that Manuel find another place for his offices.

RINGO
Ep. 36, Part 3: You Bring Me Up (to Bring Me Down)

Rosa introduces her mother and daughter to Julia. Julia tells the mother how proud she must be of Rosa since she is such a wonderful person...blah, blah blah. Ringo then enters so Rosa introduces him; and Ringo also congratulates the mother for having such a good daughter. After Ringo, the mother and Rocio leave, Rosa notices Julia’s baditude and wonders if she are upset because her get away with Ringo was interrupted; so, Julia tells her that what she and Ringo had is over…she is going to work on her marriage because she cannot betray her husband. Rosa wonders how Julia can betray her own heart. Julia thinks she allowed her heart to guide her, but now she needs to be led by her mind (which she can't make up). Rosa, however, thinks that Julia is blaming herself for everything that has happened and emphasizes that the robbery and the shooting are not her fault.

Rosa and Zorra see each other right before the fight. After they throw each other some verbal threats, Zorra leaves but stops and listens as Antunes reminds Oso about their agreement that Rosa is supposed to lose. Afterwards, Zorra hits Antunes and chides him for having fixed the fight since she can beat Rosa in two minutes…she even hits him. Antunes points out the this needs to be done to get her to better places…and warns her never to touch him again.

Turkey and Caribou (Turco and Carrizo) arrive to watch the fight with Diego. At the cafeteria, the gym guys gather to watch the fight. Manuel whispers to Max and the other office guy that they know what they need to do. They nod and leave the cafeteria.

At the arena dressing room. Oso leads the group in their usual ritual and gives his motivational speech. Meanwhile, Zorra warms up. Back with Oso, Rosa blurts out that she can’t! She can’t go out there to lose…if she goes out, she will fight to win. Oso urges her to gout and finish with Zorra! After he tells her that he will take care of things with Antunes, it’s group hug time!

RINGO

Thanks, RgvChick, for another outstanding recap, “Turkey and Caribou” was a good one.

Nice filler episode with plenty of humor like Turco with the palm reader.

Who knows? Old Oso sill might have a chance with Rosa down the line.

La,Zorra is turning out to be a feisty one all the way around with her socking old Antunes.

The fight should be interesting since neither of the women wants to play along with the “plan”.

RINGO

Rgv Chick, a masterful retelling. Fantastic title.

Your pearls of wisdom were evident throughout: “The water soaks them, but it can’t extinguish their fire” was excellent. But I enjoyed (and echoed) “After she helps him out of his clothes (except his pants, darn!)” as well.

“Julia thinks she allowed her heart to guide her, but now she needs to be led by her mind (which she can't make up). Yes! I’m not quite sure I’ve seen anyone as persistent as Ringo, whose dogged determination to pursue Julia is relentless. Not to mention complexly inappropriate and just plain wrong. At this point, I suspect if he just left her alone, she might come around on her own. Left with deceptive Diego without Ringo’s declaration of love, would there really be a choice?

So many favorite moments, “After Rosa leaves, Oso dances a little jig” and “When Rafa says “Good night, Dad,” Oso is deeply touched and says “Good Night, son.” Sigh

Ominous murmurings for Turco “she mentions that his fate was marked on the day he was born”.

Like Jarifa, laughed at “Turkey and Caribou”. And Guachin who in my eyes, just needs to show up.

Zorra hitting Altunes shows she’s not afraid of anything!

What is the significance of the wet, moldy walls??

“Rosa blurts out that she can’t! She can’t go out there to lose…if she goes out, she will fight to win”. I’m usually wrong, but I knew she would do that. I’m not sure Oso will be able to fix things with Altunes though.

The Delta Boxing Club rally was touching. I just love this show!

Rgv Chick you are amazing. I enjoyed every single word. Thank you, thank you!

Diana

Thank You RGV.
I only have one thing to say. If Ringoon worked for me he would have been unceremoniously fired long ago. And my SIL would not need to send guys to beat some sense into him, my second warning would not have been verbal.

RINGO

Thank you, Jarifa, Diana and Kirby. It definitely was a filler episode, but we all seemed to enjoy the same scenes.

Poor Rafa is picking up a bad habit from Ringo...chasing after a girl who makes herself unavailable...but at least Zorra isn't committed...to anyone! It is, however, nice to know that Zorra at least has some morals and wants to have a "clean" fight.

We didn't see much of Brenda last night, but she did manage to catch Julia in a lie. Will she run to Diego with the info...again?

I have no idea where the moldy wall storyline is going. Is it just to cause a rift between Oso and Manuel? or just plain filler?

RINGO

Thanks, Rgv Chick. My faves:

The water soaks them, but it can’t extinguish their fire and they kiss.

Rosa notices Julia’s baditude

Turkey and Caribou

Hey, Julia, when Diego had liquor on his breath, you wouldn't let him near. But Ringo is drunk as a skunk and you still can't help but kiss him. We call that a clue.

Did Ringo Uber to the Garay house? He sure was too drunk to drive. I was so ticked at him, but oh my I did swoon at the chiseled bod in the shower. But dang, Julia, just fire him already.

Loved seeing Oso, Rafa, and Gauchin in their pink t-shirts and the whole Delta Boxing Club rally for Rosa.

So neither Rosa nor Zorra are going to go along with the plan. Zorra has been winning on the national circuit, and this is Rosa's first bout ever. I'm scared for Rosa. I know she can give it, but can she take it. Rosa, imagine Zorra is your rat husband.

RINGO

RGV CHICK...Am in a bit of a hurry so will come back later when I can give your recap the attention it deserves. And also will make sure I watch the episode, now that I know there's a Ringo in the shower scene. Priorities, priorities!

RINGO

I think we are all on the same page that Ringo needs to be fired. Like yesterday!:) Totally agree with your comment Kirby.

"Poor Rafa is picking up a bad habit from Ringo...chasing after a girl who makes herself unavailable...but at least Zorra isn't committed...to anyone! It is, however, nice to know that Zorra at least has some morals and wants to have a "clean" fight". Rgv Chick, perfect description of Zorra who plays by her own rules. No one else's.

And Niecie, your quip about Zorra "I know she can give it, but can she take it. Rosa, imagine Zorra is your rat husband" should fly from the page to Rosa's ear.

"Hey, Julia, when Diego had liquor on his breath, you wouldn't let him near. But Ringo is drunk as a skunk and you still can't help but kiss him. We call that a clue". You have a great memory Niecie. I had forgotten that. Yup, no more proof than this needed.

Diana

RINGO

JudyB, "And also will make sure I watch the episode, now that I know there's a Ringo in the shower scene. Priorities, priorities!" I just luv it when NudyB peeks out :-D

Weinsteino

You used to occasionally hear of a spouse suing a third wheel for something like "Alienation of affection" or something like that when a jilted spouse took to the courts after a spousal theft. I have heard it is the same group who invented Fibromyalgia.

But maybe Ringo is not in harm's way, as it was usually used when a rich boss got caught with an underling's spouse. (Usually wife)

Does anyone in his orbit not pull Ringo aside and mention, um..Bud, she is married? Maybe after what Turdo and Gloria did to Ringo and Santi, Ringo feels like turnabout is fair play.

In other news, Sheezo, Oso, go for the Mom, if you are relegated to be Rosa's trainer and only her trainer forevermore. Mom can not be a day over ten years Rosa's senior, she's pretty, and if you get out of hand you don't get your ass beat.

AMOR ETERNO

# 123

Hi, a few highlights to keep things moving:

An auction takes place. Emir and Zera are a team, as are Kemal and Zehir. Kemal outbids Emir [I didn't get the details here]. But Kemal thinks he got the better of the deal, and Emir is annoyed at Zera for screwing things up.

Emir engineered a surprise romantic dinner for four. Asu and Kemal arrive for dinner for two, and Asu's nervous, about to tell Kemal how she signed over the shares to Emir. Emir and Nihan arrive at the same restaurant, where they're greeted by the press, eager to hear details of their getting back together. Emir steers surprised Nihan to Kemal and Asu's table, and they sit down to enjoy a pleasant meal. [Both ladies look great!]

Barbed and awkward conversation. Emir accused Kemal of ruining everyone's life. Then the bombshell: Emir announces he owns 1/2 of the shares Kemal bought. Smug Emir: "We're together again, like a Ponzi scheme."

Kemal takes Asu to the dance floor for a tense tango. He is furious. "You sold me out....everything is over between us if you lie to me again." [Gulp]

Interesting scene when Kemal ambushes Nihan coming back from the restroom. Kemal says he had to do what he did in his house [when he humiliated her] because Asu was there. Now Kemal declares he can't forget her, misses her every day. Nihan isn't buying it: " You see me every time you close your eyes. I'll never be yours again. Your vengeance is incomplete."

Nihan and Emir play the happy couple as they leave the restaurant. Nihan tells the journalists that they'll be renewing their vows, and Asu will be her maid of honor.

Zeynep! She meets with Hakan, who gives her a copy of Ozan's letter he wrote before he died. Zeynep tells Hakan, who is single BTW, of her acting dreams and how she loved Ozan, who was "like a child."

Later, Nep saw online that the Kozcuoglu's were out to dinner. She raced to the restaurant and hid behind a tree -- Asu saw her, and later asked her if she's still involved with Emir.

Fehime called Zeynep's [ex]boss looking for Nep, and learned she had been fired.

Frustrated Kemal is digging around in the woods. Yelling "I'm burying you!" hitting the ground while flashing back to the times Nihan has left him. "It's over." He finds the engagement ring he had buried before [?]

As for Ayhan, the prison "director of visitors," a man named Secuaz is reporting to him about Kemal's loser siblings. Tariq has borrowed some money from someone they know [?] for his failing car dealership.

And we see Tariq and Banu arguing.

Then there's Ayhan and Kemal. Ayhan tells Kemal the prison director [the one with the missing wife and son] died in a car accident. Vague threats and warnings to Kemal. Hmmmm, Kemal has been set up: the weapon Kemal touched on the table earlier has Kemal's fingerprints, and it was used to cut the brake cables. Plus, Kemal has a motive to harm the director. [Not sure whether this set up is a done deal, or dangling out there as a threat.]

Kemal says: "don't underestimate me," to which Ayhan replied "you'll grow up."

~~~~~~
That's all for now, folks. Thanks for the encouraging words. Sorry I tend to glaze over the business stuff.
No Efsane's cousin last night, but wondering whether she's an Emir plant. Wasn't Efsane spying for Emir?
Kirby, the Turks may look like "blockheads" to you, but don't you at least think they dress well?
Clara
Amor
Clara, they are attractive, and all dress very nice. Blockhead not to mean dumb or ugly, just big square heads who all need a shave. In this TN the people are really attractive. There is a middle aged woman in this one with really big distinctive eyes who is striking. She was Neriman's BF's Mom in Fatih Harbiye the predecessor to this series of Turk TNs overdubbed into Spanglish.
AMOR ETERNO
Thanks Clara! I usually don’t understand the business aspect of the novela either, but I do know that Emir did to Kemal the same thing that Kemal has done to Emir when they first met. Emir chose not to outbid because he expected that Kemal wanted him to overpay for the leases. In the end, the money Kemal paid for them was well worth it, but Emir gets his share of it by forcing Asu to cede half of those rights.
That tango looked intense. I can’t wait until Kemal discovers that Asu is actually carrying a ton of lies. She’s almost as good as Zeynep!
I’m with Nihan, in that I don’t believe Kemal either when he said he was putting on a show for Asu the day that he cursed her. Sorry, but I think he wanted her to beg him again so that he can continue to rebuff her, but when she didn’t fall for it he quickly went back to declaring his love for her.
He found the engagement ring again! I’m surprised it was still there.
RGV, I think Clara figured what Efsame’s cousin is really doing. Maybe that’s why she was spying on Nihan and Leyla the day before.
Banu and Tariq: is she underhandedly working for Emir? I find it odd that she just let Tariq to get so many loans- it feels like she’s hiding something.
I don’t understand what Hakan is up to with Zeynep. If he actually likes her, at least he won’t be blinded by her lies, because he clearly knows that she cheated on her husband with Emir.
AnonFri
The day that emir told banu to marry
Dumb tariq I knew she is still under his thumb. I don't think she really wanted to marry him. What he got to offer anybody? He more broke than that
Mirror in through the lookin glass.
And the day she married him he was late getting there and the look on her face said it all. She's a puppit like
Everybody emir owns.
Kirby you know who else I've notice have those Big foreheads? Those in the northern regions germans, Scandinavian people. Very Attractive people. Well the ones I've seen anyways.
Why did kemal keep saying I buried you
I buried you, & then goes dig up the ring and go sit in the car and look at it? Poor guy he don't know which end is up. With nihan anyway. He needs to
Brake up with asu anyways she's like nep, lies as easily as she breaths.
Speaking of the inept zeynep, just how
And what was she planning on doing at the resturant? She can't fight emir, she Is his little fool to play with as he wishes.
I like Ayhan. He's very mysterious. He
Is on time for Leyla. Just wait he's
Gonna reel her in.
Hakkan would be Good for nep. But shes
Not good enough for him. She's a lying
Back stabbing lying liar. Happens to be obsessed with a coldblooded killer.
Thanks Clara. Short and to the point.
But you hit it girl.
RINGO
Ep. 37, Part 1: A Knockout and Some Senseless Fights
At the arena, the ring announcer introduces La Zorra and Rosa La Maravillosa as Rosa’s mother and daughter watch proudly. Julia arrives and sits beside Ringo since that is the seat she was assigned, but Ringo thinks that she can’t live without him. Julia asks him not to talk to her especially if he is going to say stupidities. Thy continue bickering until he suggests that she admit that she was wrong in leaving him, but Julia corrects him and tells him that she didn’t leave him because she was never with him.
Rosa sees her mom and Rocio who wave to her. Afterwards the girls are given the rules.
Meanwhile, in Diego’s bedroom, Turkey tells Carrizo that they need to change his birthday so that he can change his luck. After Turco explains what Tamara told him, Diego thinks it’s stupid that Turkey believes her.
The fight begins! Both girls look strong as the dance around the ring. Zorra looks surprised that Rosa fights so well, but manages to get in some hits. Julia complains that they hit each other too hard…it’s cruelty not a sport, but when Rosa punches Zorra, Julia stands and cheers her on as do her other fans. Ringo criticizes Julia for being so excited when she doesn’t even like boxing…but then that is just like her—contradictory. They bicker some more until gets fed up and tells Ringo that she is restraining herself from slapping him. Brenda is watching the fight with Alejo when she spots Julia sitting beside Ringo; and Alejo notices how upset she is. Meanwhile, Turkey and Caribou look at each other as Diego sees Julia on TV and hisses, “What is Julia doing there?”
The fight continues. Both girls get in some good hits. Julia and Ringo cheer Rosa on as the first round ends. Once in their corner, Rosa looks over at her mother and Rocio who urge her on as Zorra fiercely stares at Rosa. After Alejo comments that Rosa is very good, Brenda wants to talk to Alejo…she asks him if he would like to marry her…she is sure that she wants to spend the rest of her life with him. When Alejo is taken aback and asks if she is serious, Brenda thinks that he probably doesn’t love her, so Alejo tells her that this is not something they can discuss casually…and he wants to watch the fight.
At the cafeteria, Max and Cachito enter and tell Manuel that they cut off the water. Eva overhears and wonders what they are talking about; so, Max tells her to ask her father.
The second round starts and the girls go at it full force. Antunes approaches Oso and reminds him of their agreement and he’d better follow through or he will lose his club. After Antunes leaves, Oso admires Rosa who is giving it her all. At the cafeteria, the guys and Eva cheer on Rosa. Eva gets so worked up that she gives Max a hug…and he certainly doesn’t mind. The girls continue pounding at each other until the second round ends.
Ringo continues to egg Julia on about being his biggest fan when Diego arrives and sits between Ringo and Julia who wonders what he is doing there. Diego explains that he was watching on TV when he saw her so he decided to come join her. Diego and Ringo snicker at each other. Diego reminds Ringo that he doesn’t like anyone taking his place; so, Ringo asks him if he is sure it’s his “butaca” (seat). Max and Manuel comment about how good Rosa is as Diego and Ringo continue their squabble.
As the third round begins, Antunes mumbles that Oso better abide by their agreement. Zorra comes in strong, but Rosa returns just as good. Meanwhile Brenda turns off the TV and demands that Alejo decide about marrying her; so, he tells her that there are some things about her that just aren’t right…like the fact that she is obsessed with Ringo. Alejo thinks she wants to get married out of spite…and he wants to know once and for all what she has with Ringo.
RINGO
Ep. 37, Part 2: A Knockout and Some Senseless Fights
The girls continue exchanging punches. When Julia leaves because she can’t stand all the hitting, Diego reminds Ringo that he had warned him that if he saw him with Julia he would put a bullet in his head. Diego then tells him that he is capable of anything, but Diego won’t get his hands dirty; that is what hired thugs are for…like the ones he got to shoot him in the leg. Ringo stares at him in disbelief so Diego smirks as he brags that everything was planned. When he adds that he is capable of anything for his wife…and that Ringo better leave Julia alone or he will end up six feet under, Ringo punches him in the face. Julia arrives just in time to witness it and asks Ringo if he has gone crazy. When Diego says that Ringo broke his nose, Ringo thinks he is exaggerating. Ringo demands that Diego tell Julia what he just told him, but the sleaze ball denies saying anything. Ringo won’t give Julia any explanation; some day she will find out what kind of “alimaña” (vermin) she married. Diego continues to insult Ringo, so Ringo threatens to hit him harder. Ringo then points out to Julia that if he hit Diego he had good reason. Julia then tells Diego that they should leave.
Back in the ring, Rosa give a good hard punch that sends Zorra to her knees, but she comes back and punches Rosa repeatedly until Rosa gives her a good punch knocking her down…but Rosa falls too…and refuses to get up despite Oso’s pleas that she gets up. Rosa cries as the referee reaches TEN and announces that technically there is a TIE!! Afterwards, Oso hugs Rosa as she cries that she had to do it.
Brenda can’t believe that she proposed and he refused. Alejo again tells her that he needs to know what is going on with Ringo; so, Brenda insists that it is Ringo who is pursuing her. Brenda thinks that he is the one who has a problem…he continues to be Ringo’s shadow and doesn’t believe he is good enough for her. Just then, Turkey arrives at Alejo’s place and tells him that he needs help in changing his birthday. Alejo refuses and explains that it can’t be done. Turkey then points out that Alejo is losing out on a good opportunity.
Julia and Diego spat about Julia sitting beside Ringo so she explains that it was just a coincidence. Diego reproaches her since everything that has to do with Ringo is a coincidence. Julia then asks why Ringo hit him; so, Diego tells her that he doesn’t know; Ringo was probably upset that he showed and just hit him…since he must have a personality disorder.
Alejo calls Oso since he didn’t see the end of the fight, so Oso tells him that both girls fell…it was a tie and Rosa is fine. Once alone, Oso tends to Rosa’s cuts. Oso tells her not to worry he will handle Antunes. Rosa apologizes as Antunes enters like a fireball and chides Oso since Rosa knocked Zorra down. Oso points out that Rosa went down during the third round, but Antunes retorts that she still didn’t do what she was suppose to do. Antunes threatens that Oso’s club will be turned into a parking lot…and both of them will be sorry for not abiding by their agreement.
RINGO
Ep. 37, Part 3: A Knockout and Some Senseless Fights
Next Day—
Ringo arrives at work and Julia storms out to ask him what he is doing there. She reminds him that he didn’t show up the previous day and he punched Diego…how could he show up to work? Ringo urges her to open her eyes about Diego but Julia is tired of his persistence and violence. When Ringo argues and insists that Diego deserved it, Julia fires him!
Rosa’s mom tells Rosa that she worried since she was being hit so hard but she is proud of her. Oso enters and gives Rosa the payment for the fight; he tells her that next time she will earn more. Rosa wants to go work in the cafeteria, bit Oso tells her to take the day off and rest. While Rosa goes to take a shower, Rosa’s mom thanks Oso for helping Rosa so much; he is like a guardian angel. Just then, Rosa comes back and tells Oso that there is NO water!
Manuel and Max talk about cutting off Oso’s water as Eva enters and overhears. She chides Manuel and after he leaves, Max assures her that he tried to talk her father out of doing it, but her father is hardheaded. When Max comments that it must be an “Ochoa” fault, Eva wonders if he is calling her hard-headed too. Max tries to apologize, but Eva thinks he apologizes too much…she likes Max better when he talks about what he really feels.
Gauchin runs in to the gym and tells Oso that there is water in the neighborhood.
Brenda returns from her run and sees Ringo leaving. He tells her that he has been fired. After Brenda guesses that it was Julia who ran him off, she tells him not to leave…no one is going to run him off from there!!
Brenda runs into the house shouting out for Julia. She tells her that she has no right to fire Ringo…first she has her escapade with him and then she fires him! If Julia doesn’t like having Ringo at the house then she should be the one to leave! Brenda continues her rant and Julia retorts that Benda is only upset because Ringo isn’t interested in her.
Oso goes to Manuel’s office and Manuel admits the he is the one who shut off the water. Oso asks how he could dare turn off his water. Manuel retorts that he was not going to allow his leak to affect his offices. They argue back and forth until Eva and Alejo intervene. Oso thinks that Manuel has been resentful since they were young since all the girls were after him (Oso). Manuel points out that women would leave him and go running to him. After Eva points out that they are both acting like children, Oso brings up Manuel’s mishap with Martita and Mirta; and Manuel throws out Oso’s insistence about his songs being stolen. After Oso leaves, Manuel roars that this is war!!
Oso returns to the club and is still upset. This is robbery and he is not going to let it pass. Gauchin suggests that they shut off Manuel’s electricity. Oso nods and ends with, “If it’s war that he wants, then war he will have!”
RGV thanks a bunch. Water War eh? I think of irrigating a thousand acres of soybeans and watering a few hundred head of cattle, not taking a whiz and rinsing the fight off of a girl boxer. These two..............
Remember in TNs we have seen, where some Dastardly Diego was blabbering and our guy had his cell phone on record in his jacket? Too bad.
Brenda wants to marry Alejo? Will they go to a Justice of the Peace or a Veterinarian? She really IS crazy.
RINGO
Thanks, RgvChick, for the very complete recap.
This was a fun episode.
I couldn’t believe it but Brenda was so entertaining this episode. She sure knows how to ruin watching a boxing match. Proposing in the middle of it? LOL At least Alejo got to voice his concerns about her and Ringo. Later Brenda was truly useful making Julia hear the truth about her (Julia’s)relationship with Ringo. That was a good thing. I hope Ringo stays around because he was utterly obnoxious with Julia at the fight. Still working at the house, he can keep on tormenting her and Diego and they him. What an unhappy and disagreeable romantic triangle!
It must be a cultural thing but I do not see a tv show about boxers being successful as a production on US broadcast tv these days, at least not around here.
The Rosa plot continues to be the highlight. I liked that they showed her face all bruised after the fight. Realistic.
On we go!
RINGO
What a talented writer you are Rgv Chick. This was truly marvelous. Utterly engrossing and entertaining. Creative and clever. Grand fun.
"alimaña” (vermin)" was my favorite!
“Zorra fiercely stares at Rosa”. Indeed she does! What a glare!
Oddly enough, some of the most entertaining moments for me were Turco and Carrizo who had bounded onto Diego’s bed with no invitation. “Turkey tells Carrizo that they need to change his birthday so that he can change his luck”. Idiot. Also the expressions they exchanged when they saw Julia at the fight were hysterical prompting “…as Diego sees Julia on TV and hisses, “What is Julia doing there?” They are no Oso and Gauchin but…
I was surprised that Alejo does have somewhat of a clue “like the fact that she is obsessed with Ringo”. But, as it appears he does know, why is he still with her?? But you asked the important question Kirby "Will they go to a Justice of the Peace or a Veterinarian?" (still laughing).
“Eva gets so worked up that she gives Max a hug…and he certainly doesn’t mind” and “Eva thinks he apologizes too much…she likes Max better when he talks about what he really feels”. C’mon Max. Light the fire! Sitting quietly as a mouse and acting like a choirboy won’t get you anywhere.
Not happy with the Oso/Manuel feud. These two need to be allies as Altunes certainly has revenge on his mind.
So, I guess I should say something about Julia. And Ringo. But I don't need to as you said it all Jarifa with "I hope Ringo stays around because he was utterly obnoxious with Julia at the fight. Still working at the house, he can keep on tormenting her and Diego and they him".
One thing that always strikes me is how unhappy Teresa looks at the fighting. You can tell it pains her to have Ringo in the ring.
Rgv Chick, this was great. Thank you thank you.
Diana, Alejo stays with Brenda as the tide slowly washes in on him of how cray cray she is.....because she is doing dome great undercover work with him. She is crazy, and probably there too. Fun not in the sun. Remember the overcoat incident? A real woofer will put up with a lot of other unhinged craziness for some great crazy chick sex.
AMOR ETERNO
Season 2 #124
(1)
It’s still nighttime and Kemal arrives in the garage of his building. He stands there alone and takes out Hakan’s business card to him. He asks him to look up a particular accident. Hakan writes down the information and asks why he wants to investigate it, but Kemal doesn’t answer that question. Upon hanging up, Kemal calls Zehir to ask him to gather his men again, because they’ll need to do a job.
Ayhan is outside Kemal’s building, spying.
Emir and Nihan arrive home. She exits the car and walks inside without waiting for him. Alien space call comes in to Emir as he’s still sitting in the car. Hakan reports that Kemal wants to investigate the accident that killed the prison director. Emir says that he’s not responsible for that accident. Hakan asks Wmir why Kemal is investigating it all. Emir turns it back on and says that Hakan, as his minion, will investigate that part for him. When he hangs up, he drives out.
The taxi drops off Zeynep home, but she only takes a few steps when she notices Emir arriving. They walk to each other and she asks him to get back into his car because she doesn’t want her family to see him. Emir wants to know why she’s pushing his buttons. Zeynep says that if something happens to her she’ll make sure to blame him for it. She adds that she’s tired of being used by him and then being dumped like nothing. Emir pushes Zeynep against the wall just as Fehime walks out to the patio, who dials Zeynep.
“You don’t have the capacity to be in the big leagues,” Emir says.
“Yet I’m the one who changes the results each time.”
“Are you looking for a victory bonus?”
“I don’t want money. I want you.”
“I’m sorry I can’t make miracles.” He says.
“You can’t, but I’ll make my own this time” she says.
Her phone rings and Fehime hears it nearby. Zeynep rushes to the gate to stop her from stepping out to the street. Fehime chides her and they both go into the home as Emir drives away.
Kemal is in his apartment when Leyla arrives uninvited. She comments that Kemal’s new home is close to Emir’s job, as well as Nihan’s new home: she calls it a strategic investment. Kemal brushes that aside, offering her tea. Leyla asks Kemal what happened between him and Nihan. He asks her to stay out of this because he doesn’t want to lose their friendship. Leyla is confused and doesn’t like the way he’s talking to her. She continues to ask what he’s up to and what he’s trying to do, because he’s no longer the man he used to be. Kemal answers that he died when he was in prison. Leyla then asks him about the offer he made to Nihan. He tells her again that it’s none of her business, but Leyla says that it’s obvious he’s ashamed to her. He responds that perhaps Nihan didn’t tell her everything: she needed his help, so he asked her what she was willing to offer him in return. Leyla doesn’t get it until he insinuates that Nihan solves everything with Emir by offering sex. Leyla is horrified and slaps him, telling him that he’s no longer her son. Kemal coldly says that he has no mother nor siblings, he’s simply Kemal. Nothing more. Leyla is unable to grasp that he asked such a thing from Nihan, so she hastily exits his apartment.
Fehime confronts Zeynep in the foyer. She wants to know why she lied about her babysitting job. Zeynep asks her not to get loud because she doesn’t want her father or brother to find out. Fehime gets angrier and demands to know why she went out so late. Zeynep says that she needed to speak to Asu because of Kemal; Asu wanted to have a reunion, the three of them, but he doesn’t know about it. Fehime wants to know what is going on that she’s unaware about. Zeynep says that “Kemal has been mad at me ever since I planned to escape the country with Ozan, and that even though Ozan committed suicide, he thinks I’m involved in it.” Fehime swears that if Zeynep is lying to her, she’ll deeply regret it. Zeynep suggests she call Asu to confirm her whereabouts that night. Fehime dials Asu, just as Zeynep explains that they were at a restaurant but she was unable to see Kemal. Then, ever calculating, she brings up that Nihan was there too. Fehime calls Asu to corroborate Zeynep’s story, and Asu confirms it.
Tufan is at Asu’s apartment and asks her what’s going on, just as she hung up on Fehime. Asu is cold with him and asks how did Emir know where she was dining with Kemal that night. Tufan asks if she’s suspecting him, and Asu threatens to hand him over to Emir if she discovers that he’s betraying her. Tufan maintains his innocence, and she sends him out of her apartment.
Ayhan sees Cleopatra walking out in the street alone and asks her what she’s doing out so late. She tells him she’s not up for his teasing today and continues walking, but he follows her in his car. He asks what kind of manners Kemal has because he shouldn’t be letting his mother walking alone in the street at night. She tells him again to leave her alone and continues walking, but he still follows her and eventually coaxes her into accepting a ride. She sits next to him in the car and he happily welcomes her. When Ayhan and Leyla arrive at her home, he takes a peak at her house and asks if she’s divorced. Leyla says that she’s not married; he gets confused and asks about her son, Kemal. Leyla replies that biologically he’s not her son, but she loves him as if he were. She also mentions that her name isn’t Fehime. Ayhan asks for name, but she only gives him her first name. He asks for the last name and she says that it’s Asemcade. Ayhan gets disturbed. Leyla exits the car and as she’s walking to her home she mutters that he’s nuts (demente).
Hakan is looking at Facebook photos of Zeynep. His brother Shaffaq makes fun of him for it. Shaffaq grabs a medicine bottle and tells Hakan that he finally finished the last bottle. Hakan says that his brother is a hero, and that he’s very proud of him. Shaffaq mentions that tomorrow morning he’ll go see Emir. Hakan asks why, but Shaffaq says he knows the reason why, but Hakan asks him to wait until he calls Emir first. Shaffaq expresses that he would like to work for Emir because he’s an important person.
Emir is home, reading the documents that Zera secretly snapped photos of when she visited Zehir. Nihan comes and interrupts him, saying that she also wants to put conditions for her return to the house. Emir says that she already has her daughter back, but Nihan says that she wants a prenuptial agreement and will get a lawyer to draft one up for her tomorrow. She leaves him alone. Emir doesn’t seem concerned and goes back to reading the documents. He calls Zera and tells her that she did a good job. Now he wants a seat at Kemal’s meeting with the businessmen (the ones from Wednesday’s episode).
Kemal is overlooking the night skyline from his balcony. He goes back to his table and looks at the photos of his enemies, but picks up a photo of Nihan. He puts it back facedown and calls Zehir to let him know that he wants to meet him now. Soon Zehir is in passenger seat next to Kemal, who asks if he’ll be able to get a car out. Zehir says yes, but that by doing so they’ll be interrupting the other problem, Ayhan. Kemal says “And what of me, Zehir? That man will break my neck if I don’t obey. I’m just going to accept his advice for now.” Zehir sighs.
Nihan is in her room, looking at a childhood photo of her and Ozan. She hears Emir moaning in the room next to hers. Emir’s intense pains begin and he struggles to take his medicine. He couldn’t make it to his bed and is laying on the ottoman in front of it. Nihan walks in and asks if she should call the doctor. He asks her to leave him alone, that he deserves this destiny for being evil. Nihan ignores that statement and starts looking for his medicine, but he grabs her hand and asks her to stay with him. She sits down next to him.
The next morning, Ayhan walks out of a warehouse and notices a damaged car parked in front. He asks someone why it’s there, the man says that it’s the director’s crashed car. Kemal appears and says that he came to warn him that he’ll find out who is guilty of killing the prison director. He shows Ayhan the tool that he had touched in the warehouse a few days ago, and says “There is no evidence to link me.” Ayhan concedes and wants to talk, but Kemal tells him “Stop messing with me. You’ll be in charge of the car, because he police is looking for it already.” Ayhan sighs.
Nihan is having quality time with Denise in her room. Eda asks if she wants her to prepare another bottle for Denise. Nihan says no, but Eda comments that she doesn’t think Denise is full because she keeps moving her mouth. Nihan snaps and asks Eda if she has school today, or perhaps some friends to hang out with. Eda says “You know that I don’t, but at least you can say that I behave on the job.” Nihan says that she wouldn’t be complaining if Eda would just keep her mouth shut. The girl agrees and walks out. Nihan continues to play with Denise.
Half a flight of stairs down, Efsame hands Eda a food tray, but Eda complains that she doesn’t want to take the tray to the ice queen. Efsame chides her, claiming that Vildan has had a lot to deal with and that’s why she’s like that. Eda corrects that it’s Nihan who’s being irritable. Efsame is surprised. Eda complains about Nihan’s arrogance and says “May god give patience to her husband, because she’s always in a bad mood.” Efsame hands Eda the tray and loudly apologizes to Nihan that the tray hasn’t been taken to her yet, but when Eda looks up at the top of the stairs she’s relieved to know that Efsame pranked her. Efsame sends her upstairs.
Emir and Vildan are at the breakfast table when Nihan shows up with the baby. She hands her over to Vildan and sits next to her. Emir excuses himself and touches Denise’s hand, Nihan gets nervous and asks Vildan to hand Denise back to her. Vildan, however, hands Denise over to her father, and Nihan goes up to him and asks him to be careful. Emir comments “May god forbid that she fall. Right, my love?” Vildan tells him that that was an ugly joke he shouldn’t make again. He hands the baby to Nihan and goes to work. Just then, Eda shows up with the food tray and Nihan says “Thank you, slave. How much time will you spend with me today?” Eda is shocked and tries to protest, but Nihan tells her that she changed her mind and they will leave in half an hour.
Emir and Zera are together in a car, going to the restaurant. Kemal and Zehir are on their way too.
The lawyer hands Nihan a document and asks her if she’s sure she wants to do this because she’ll end up as Emir’s slave. Nihan claims that this could actually be her key to freedom, depending on how you look at it.
Asu and Zeynep are at the seaside. Asu wants to know if she still has any dealings with Emir. Zeynep confesses that Emir took Nihan’s baby and she was the one taking care of her. Asu clarifies that she was helping Emir then. Zeynep claims that that’s over. Asu asks why she went to see Emir at the restaurant yesterday. Zeyneo says that she went to ask for her help. When Asu notices that Zeynep is thinking, she asks “Are you thinking of another lie?” Zeynep brings up that Hakan is investigating Ozan’s death, and that it seems like he knows that there was something between her and Emir. She adds that she doesn’t know what to do anymore, because she has her brother on one side, Hakan on the other, Asu on another and yet Emir stands on his own. Asu stays quiet, then tells her she needs to leave. She tells her “you’ll stay away from the detective, as well as from Emir. Kemal will have more problems if this whole issue comes up again. You owe this to your brother.”
When Asu is out of earshot, she calls Tufan. She wants him to find out how it was that Hakan knows about Zeynep and Emir. Tufan says that he’ll take care of it.
Kemal and Zehir walk into the restaurant and find Emir with the business men (the ones Kemal met a few days ago). Emir apparently bought them out from Kemal. Kemal asks the men how much Emir offered them, and the man replies that Emir’s offer was better because he bought all the licenses for 1.5 million. Kemal makes a counteroffer and Emir tops it. They reach 7 million and Emir wins. Kemal walks out of there with Zehir, who asks “what are we going to do now?” Kemal replies that they’ll get to the point.
Tufan arrives at the home of the guard who slipped the envelope with photos to Ozan the day he died. He knocks on the door and the guard happily greets him. Tufan tells him that he’ll have to disappear, because Hakan is investigating the case again. The guard looked dismayed.
Kemal is driving alone to Kozcouglu Holding. He has his hand on top of a document.
Nihan, Eda and Denise arrive at Kozcouglu Holding. Nihan tells her to stay in the car with the baby while she meets with Emir for a bit. Eda complains that she should have just left them home if all they were going to do was sit in the car. Nihan claims that when she comes back she will take Denise to the doctor for a vaccine. Eda is happy to hear that Nihan isn’t an anti-vaxer. Nihan looks at her in disgust and asks if she really will continue talking so much like a public announcement. Eda makes a zipper motion across her lips, indicating she’ll be quiet. When Nihan is gone, Eda tells Denise “Little one, don’t get offended, but your mother is such a sour one. She’s a partypooper.”
Nihan enters Emir’s office and drops the prenuptial agreement on his desk, telling him to sign it. Emir sees that she’s demanding 50% of his shares in the company.
“Are you crazy?” He asks.
“Well, I came back to you.” She sarcastically says.
“I don’t need to seal our relationship. We don’t have any bigger agreement aside from our daughter.” He replies.
“There are some other things there about me. Read it.”
“‘Nihan Kozcouglu will not be able to ask for a divorce, since Emir would not want that nor would he grant it. All relevant authority will be carried out should Nihan Kozcouglu become disloyal.’ What are you trying to do, Nihan?”
“I want to make a safeguard for myself. Aren’t I what you most want? Am I not worth half of your shares?”
“You’re not a gold digger. You never cared about money. It’s not your thing.”
The secretary calls Emir to tell him that Kemal is going into his office, but Nihan stops him from answering the phone and asks: “Do you have more important things to do that aren’t about me?”
“What do you want? You don’t even like dealing with the business.”
“Are you scared, Emir?” She taunts.
“I’m sorry, but ask me for something else.”
Just then Kemal opens the door and finds Nihan sitting on Emir’s desk.
“Did I interrupt something?” Kemal asks.
Nihan glares at him.
AMOR ETERNO
Hello,
Nina, I think Zeynep was planning to tell Nihan that Emir had given her the baby for a few days. In her mind, Emir and Nihan are fully living as husband and wife, so she’s trying to shatter something that doesn’t exist, or at the very least, the facade.
I find it interesting that Zeynep cares so much about what her family thinks of her, when she doesn’t care about their wellbeing at all. You’d think she’d just move out of there and do as she wants. What’s holding her back? She doesn’t really love them anyway. Why is she so afraid of being discovered for the rat that she is? That feeling is momentary- once the initial fright is over, everyone will settle into the reality of things. Of course, she’ll live with the shame forever, but she’ll get used to it eventually.
Did Asu send Ozan the photos of Emir and Zeynep? It made sense that Tufan would be the one handing it over to the guard, because he was the one who took those photos to begin with.
I don’t understand what Ayhan is trying to do with Kemal. I don’t like him for Leyla if he’s up to shady dealings.
Nihan really is trying to pull a fast one on Emir, but he’s not falling for it. If Kemal finds out about this agreement, he’ll continue to think that she’s a gold digger.
AMOR ETERNO
AnonFri, thanks! That was a good one. As always, you clarify the nitty gritty paperwork/legal/business stuff.
What is with these post-nup pre-nups?
Eda, I didn't catch that name, so thanks for that. We'll eventually discover what she's up to.
Interesting idea about Asu being behind the photos to Ozan's cell. I assumed Tufan was working for Emir. What would be Asu's motive?
Tufan. Poor guy. He seems loyal, although it's never clear who he's really working for. Yet he puts up with so much abuse from everyone, example, blind mouse bumping into a wall who should watch more documentaries! Plus, he has to deal with his unrequited love for Asu.
As for Hakan, it is clear he's working for Emir. But Ozan's death is niggling at him. Maybe because he's attracted to Zeynep? But he seems smarter than that! And as you said AnonFri, he knows she cheated on Ozan with Emir.
Kirby, thanks for explaining your "blockhead" comment -- and mentioning that you're an experienced Turkish TN viewer. I'll agree the men are hairy! The character you mention with striking eyes is Leyla, aka Cleopatra. I find Amor visually interesting in all ways. How I got hooked. Oh, and then there's Kemal (our protag). According to Nina, he wears Hugo Boss suits.
Have a good weekend everybody,
Clara
RINGO
Rgv Chick, your recap is a treat. Perfect title. I figured on the Ringo and Julia senseless bickering, but Manuel and Oso were a surprise.
My favorite scene was Rosa refusing to get up from the canvass though Oso was begging her to rise cause he knew she could. Each one trying to look out for the other.
If Julia doesn’t like having Ringo at the house then she should be the one to leave!
I'm with cray-cray Brenda on this one. Julia's a newlywed and she and Diego should go off somewhere to live alone together. Diego's been asking for this. If Julia loves and trusts him so much, she'd do it.
Jarifa, I'm not sure if a boxing themed novela would make it in the states either, but growing with all the doctor and lawyer shows, I'm so done with them. Fox Sports runs one-hour profiles of boxers' private lives before a major bout, but I've no idea how these do in the ratings. Plus, come to think of it, there are eight Rocky movies (counting Creed). Put them all together and you've got a short telenovela!
Amor
Clara. What first got me watching Turkish TNs was the geography.
Set in Istanbul, a really interesting city, primarily because of the Bosporus. In many of the scenes it looks like a riverfront when in actuality we are seeing the Bosporus, better known as the Istanbul Strait which connects the Black Sea with the Sea of Marmara. Istanbul is pretty much divided down the middle by it. It is the continental boundary between Europe and Asia. It is just an all around interesting city visually.
Thank you, Diana, Jarifa, Kirby and Niecie!!
Jarifa, obnoxious is a perfect word for Ringo; I wouldn't have minded if Julia did slap him. She really does need to stand her ground and make him stay away. Ringo's like one of those gnats that just keep bugging you until you swat them dead...totally annoying. I'm very disappointed with the writer's who made this character this way when he could have been the typical galan we have been yearning for.
I thought the fight was well done, very realistic; and Rosa did a wonderful job in expressing her resolve in staying down despite her desire to win. Applause for her!
The Manuel-Oso Water war (thanks, Kirby)? I don;t like it either, Diana. What is the point? I don't even see a PSA there.
Max and Eva were cute; maybe they'll turn out to be a fav couple.
Turco and Carrizo - yup, Diana, they can be a hoot and fun to watch when they aren't being a-holes, but nowhere near Oso and Gauchin
Niecie and Jarifa, I agree that Brenda was useful and brought out some good points in her argument with Julia. Now if she could just keep her neurons in line, that would be perfect.
Great recap AonFri. OK before anything
Else where does kemal get all these millions of Dollars? In six years he has really Built up quit a bank for himself. Well I guess to pay for all those Hugo boss Suits he needs that moolah. I don't no If they are really Hugo boss suits. I Don't even like Hugo boss suits they are too skinny around the legs and the Coats are way too short. They may not even be hugo boss. The actor that plays kemal(Burak
Something) just makes them look good.
He used to be a model. Which is why he
Walks like he owns the moment.
I was surprised to see Leyla woop him
Across the face. And now I know why since reading the recap. I think she shocked Herself.Its good know that she still loves Him. She don't know the whole story,and Neither does he.
Emir is in pain because that bullet is
Still in his spine? Galip told the Dr.
To leave it. Or he'd be paralyzed. He says he deserves pain because hes eivl. Yeah, couldn't happen to a nice guy. Huh.
Vildan has been through a lot. Yeah.
But she was a bitch before that. Not
Never change.
"When asu notices that zeynep is think ing she ask her,"are you thinking of another lie?" See those liars no each
I like Ayhan, he keeps calling kemal
Apprentess, meaning he's got some things to learn. All these people have
Got connections. More mysteries.
Why in The world would Galan want his brotherly meet emir? He wants him to be a minion too? I thought he was alot stronger than that. He wasn't afarid of emir nut he threatened family when
He came to see him in the hospital.
Maybe he does deserve the nep. Introducing his brother to that sick
Just like the golden gate bridge.
Beautiful city too.
Ok thanks AnonFri thanks for all the details. I appreciate the time you take.
RINGO
Chickie , thank you for a great recap of all the crazy.
Speaking of crazy, Brenda really had a grip on that poor little dog. Too bad she seems to have lost a grip on herself. So... brenda, get a grip , but out the dog down once in awhile ...give it a real every now and then. ...maybe buy a stuffed toy or doll to cart around with you.
RINGO
The patio is alive and very wise and feisty.
" Alejo stays with Brenda as the tide slowly washes in on him of how cray cray she is.....because she is doing dome great undercover work with him. She is crazy, and probably there too" explained it all. Nailed it Kirby. And yes, I remember the overcoat incident. And I'm sure he does too. ;)
Niecie, "I'm with cray-cray Brenda on this one. Julia's a newlywed and she and Diego should go off somewhere to live alone together. Diego's been asking for this. If Julia loves and trusts him so much, she'd do it". Yes, well stated and of course you are totally right! As Julia doesn't love him, has never loved him, her leaving ain't ever going to happen. Even with Ringo's constant barrages of love. Brenda has clarity when she wants to, doesn't she?
Susanlyyn, "Speaking of crazy, Brenda really had a grip on that poor little dog. Too bad she seems to have lost a grip on herself". HA
And Rgv Chick, "I'm very disappointed with the writer's who made this character this way when he could have been the typical galan we have been yearning for". Amen. Thank heavens for the supporting players as their stories are far more interesting. And far less repetitive!
AMOR ETERNO
Clara, a belated thank you for your recap! And no worries about glazing over the business stuff; the (business) details usually go way over my head :-)
I agree that both women were knocks out at the dinner, but, wow, you could cut the tension with an old, dull knife.
A few other things struck me during this episode--
Kemal finding the ring after burying over a year ago...and it was sparkling clean!
Emir stopped bidding because he said that land was not worth that much. Zera must have gotten some misinformation at Zehir's place. If she did, how did Zehir know that she was coming to see him so that he could have the false documents ready?
Ayhan does seem to know the man who Tarik borrows from. I'm wondering if Ayhan will pay off the debts and thus have Tarik "under his control."
AnonFri, thank your for such a comprehensive recap. With your and Clara's recap, I can keep up with who's who and what's what.
It was odd to me how Fehime was so loving and worried when Zeynep returned home...then she gave her a harsh scolding once inside.
I'm liking the Ayhan-Leyla/Cleopatra pairing. Hope these two end up together.
I'm still trying to figure out what Ayhan wants with Kemal. Is he trying to help him or hurt him?
"When Asu notices that Zeynep is thinking, she asks “Are you thinking of another lie?”" Yes, Nina, liars do know each other. Is there anyone whom these two don't lie to? Do they even know what it's like to tell the truth?
RINGO
From the early previews, I thought Ringo and Julia were going to be fighting together for their love. Instead, they're fighting each other because he ignores the fact that she's a newlywed!
Hey, whatever happened to the dance contest? I guess that's off now.
Diana, ITA about the supporting players. I'm actually enjoying all the storylines, even the silly water war, because the characters have charm. Except for Antunes.
RINGO
Thanks so much RGV CHICK. Your recaps are great fun to read and never annoying. On the other hand, our main couple...arrrrrgggggh! And I'm also allergic to crazy, self-centered Brenda...although KIRBY has given a very good explanation of her "good points" and how they appeal to Alejo.
I'm also in agreement with everybody that our valiant Rosa is the highlight of the story. A lady with ethics, standards, courage, and honesty. Who's giving it all she's got to get ahead in life. She's making our two main protagonists looks shabby indeed.
Thanks so much for your hard work on this and all you do for the site and to support the other shows and recappers.
" Except for iTunes."? Yeah somebody needs to unplug his charger.
Is the patio recapping Rubi?
Rubí
Not that I know of, Princess
