Caray, Caray!

Show opens with a sad Dena in bedroom and Diego, ever the gentleman asks permission to enter. He is looking mighty fine in his red jacket over the white shirt today, yummy. They talk about Esme’s wild and rebellious spirit, how Dena never thought this could happen. Diego tells her that life goes on, Esme wouldn’t want to see her like that. Dena feels weak like she can’t go on and Diego tells her she can lean on him. Ayyyy, to have Diego’s left shoulder to cry on and then Don Ferni’s shoulder on the right, bring on the water works.

We then go to Alej and White Buffalo smoking on a peace pipe and the whereabouts of Yumi (not for nothing but shouldn’t Alej be more worried that Monty wants to take over the hacienda). Alej tells WB about what’s happened in the hacienda but when at the right time he’ll tell Dena about his marriage to Yumi. WB tells Alej Yumi went to live in the mountains and apparently these mountains are sacred as Alej needs WB’s permission to go in them. WB tells Alej to be patient but she wants to know what Alej feels for Yumi. Alej feels confused because when he met Toypurnia she became a Spanish lady but was still an Indian warrior so she was like two women and he learned a lot of the Indian customs and respect them. WB tells him now the situation is different its actually two women who want the same heart (should it be three considering Yumi is being taught to become an Spanish lady?) and asks about Alej about his feelings for Yumi. Alej evades the question and tells WB that Dena needs Yumi’s company at the moment.

We go to Olmos going crazy rifling throw some papers trying to find something in Esme’s handwriting, good thing his side kick was with him because Olmos can’t reach the top of the armoire. They rehash the letter given by Aguirre and how Olmos plans to confirm the signatures. Olmos’ sidekick is surprised to think of the possibility that Esme could be alive and Olmos’ wouldn’t be surprised since SK suffered the same fate. Olmos informs his buddy that the Duke will take care of SK if she got to Spain but if Esme’s alive then they got a bargaining chip with the Duke.

We then go to Spain where the Queen says she’s going to America to check out the progress being made. The Duke feigns worry about the Queen’s safety but she is determined to go in honor of her late hubby. Duke promises to arrange everything for the trip.

We go the ravine (or whatever) where SK was thrown. There is some movement of her hands.

We go to Diego reading in his bedroom. Mangle asks to come as she doesn’t want to invade his space. ***eye roll***. Diego acts uninterested and tells her you were already here and stole my Esme letter. Mangle claims it was due to jealousy to confirm his feelings for Esme. Anway she plays victim to being second fiddle to Esme to the “T” Diego puts his book down to pay attention to her ranting. Lots of tears and in the end she says He doesn’t love her and therefore not the baby so she’ll relieve him of the heavy burden. Diego is confused by what she meant, Diego sweety you are being emotionally blackmailed, c’mon man you are supposed to be smarter than this, you are Zorro!

Outside in the hallway the tears stop and tells the air/Diego, let that remain in your conscience. Next on Mangle’s emotional blackmail list is Dolores. She spots Dol wiping an armoire and asks if she knows a healer/herbalist. Dol is concerned doesn’t trust healers and recommends that Diego take her to Pito. Mangle brings on the water works, Diego doesn’t need to know, a lot of lack of love to her and baby yadda yadda. Dol isn’t fooled, what u planning? Dol had me here I thought she was really go to say something good but NOOOO just a lead in for Mangle to say its best to get rid of the baby than to live without love. I hate her something awful, Diego has to put two and two together, please.

We go back to Diego’s room where Bernie is just sneaking in from the batcave. Diego tells him about him and Mangle’s conversation. Diego feels like he was too hard on her Diego, you weren’t don’t feel bad you told it how it is and that’s that. Diego feels confused about what to do but her last remark sounded like a threat.

Dol tells Mangle to calm down, kids are a blessing from God they shouldn’t pay for parent’s mistakes. Mangle gets angry about what Diego feels for Esme and says she and baby don’t matter to him. Dol reminds Mangle that Diego loved Esme a lot and the letter is brought up again. Dol tells her that Diego would love the baby de la Vega’s are big on families. Mangle wants a family not leftovers of a love that couldn’t be and runs off with crocodile tears in her eyes. Blechh, phony witch. In the hallway she laughs at her drama queen scene and to prepare the grand finale.

Olmos meets with calligrapher and he confirms that the signatures on the two documents match. The calligrapher even describes Esme’s feelings when she wrote the two separate pieces of paper. Olmos is happy because he’s got the Duke in his hands and can give him orders. Olmos does the happy dance.

Prudencio tells FS that he was able to detain the gitanos from following him. FS congratulates on a job well done. FS tells Prudencio that he took care of SK and to go get her body and dispose of it and remove any footprints of her existence. Prudencio has to go on his own, he doesn’t want witnesses on this little deed.

SK wakes up and is struggling to get up but its too much and collapses on the ground.

Diego asks Dol if she’s been Mangle. Dol tells Diego that Mangle want to see a healer. Diego didn’t realize she Mangle felt ill. Dol then explains her conversation with Mangle. Diego is still clueless until Dolores has to explain that Mangle wants to do an abortion. Diego runs off after Mangle.

Back to SK trying to get up, lot of grunting and painful expressions. Piza finds her and looks around.

Diego sees Mangle running off. They share some words about her plans and Mangle tries to act like its about her dignity. She’s loved him since she set foot on land and spotted him, he’ll only love Esme and her ghost will always divide them, blah, blah.

Come back from commercial and still they are talking. Mangle contrives everything so that Diego apologizes for his feelings. She is still feeling like she’s second fiddle, blah, blah. I’m sorry I am just so angry at these scenes. I thought Diego was different too smart to fall into her traps. Diego convinces her to stay he will be the perfect husband and daddy to the baby. Mangle says fine I’m staying because you asked me too.

Back at the prison, Esme asks Auggie if he gave Diego the letter. Naïve Auggie says I did one better, I gave it to Olmos. Esme is impactada and upset that Auggie gave the letter to Olmos (rehash of his betrayl). Auggie doesn’t believe this of Olmos and how he’ll take care of her but Esme tells him of Olmos’ took care of SK and wanted her dead. Auggie tells Esme he couldn’t give the letter to Diego anyway because they hacienda is well fortified. Esme feels sorry she trusted him to begin with.

Piza puts a very wounded SK on a bed hay and tells her to hold on she can’t die, she’s very important. Piza checks her wounds and is angry, he’s going to need help. He tells a wounded SK (sounded like an order) that she’s a queen and queen’s decide when they die. Geeh, what a good morale booster he is. He should give speeches, draw big crowds like that.

Monty and FS face-off. FS is angry at Monty’s insistence on bothering the de la Vegas. Monty has his reasons. FS doesn’t buy that they were involved in SK’s escape but Monty says there are, along with gitanos and Zorro. FS asks for proof and Monty says he’s working on it. Monty brings up MP and FS says don’t go there (something along those lines). Anyway Monty basically tells FS as law in LA he decides against who to go after. FS threatens to join forces with Alej to bring Monty down.

Olmos pays Auggie for his services. Auggie is surprised to find more money than what he asked. Olmos asks that Auggie not reveal that the contents of letter. Auggie tells Olmos he can’t read. Olmos laughs at the wonderful news and Auggie asks if he has to return the extra money. Maybe Esme will teach you to read while you watch her in prison. Olmos says no and Auggie is estatic says Olmos is a gentleman, blah, blah,. Auggie tells Olmos that Esme was angry about turning over letter to him. Olmos says she’s just upset and confused and will need their help in her state.

Back to Esme in the prison who is awoken by Lucrecia, hey she’s back. We get a nice look at Lucrecia she almost looks like a hamster but I know it’s a vole. Esme examines Lucrecia for a note (did she even checked the butt, yeah I am sure there is one there). Esme talks to Lucrecia and gives her a bite to eat to gather strength to find the gitanos. Esme tells Lucrecia she’s worried about her mom and how neither of them can do anything about it.

Back to the Gitano camp where Hermes wants to run out and look for SK. He shouldn’t have left her, would give his life to save her, etc. Laisha pipes up that they did everything they could have. Zorro comes in and they rehash what happened.

Olmos and Geraldo (his buddy) share wine and celebrate Esme’s captivity and how much power Olmos now holds and the things he’s done for love, shout out to Meatloaf, I would do anything for love…. Gerardo finds it strange that Olmos is in love. Olmos tells him yes and his appearance doesn’t matter, he’s going to make her his.

Back to de la Vega’s where Dena and Mangle share a moment. Well Mangle engineers it so that they share one anyway. Mangle never understood Esme, Dena loved Esme like a daughter. Dena always found Mangle to be an enigma, never understood her. Dena promises to always to take care of Mangle. Mangle tells her having the baby has made her mature, she feels weird, bleh.

Jonas tells Zorro that FS took Sara Kali. Jonas tells Zorro that they thought there were safe he doesn’t understand how their hiding place got discovered (I don’t know maybe the fact you were always in wide open spaces gave somebody a tip to keep an eye on you). Jonas tells Zorro that if FS didn’t kill SK then he made her disappear like last time. Zorro recommends that when they get well the gitanos move around a lot (like real gypsies should) so they won’t get caught. Zorro is going to find SK and Javier informs where FS could have taken her.

Prudencio tells FS that there was no body where he told him to look. FS can’t believe she’s still alive. Prudencio tells FS about the trail of blood then footsteps and boot footprints. FS tells Prudencio to continue his search for SK. Prudencio tells FS he’s going to need at least 100 men and FS throws a bag of money so he can round up some men for the hunt.

Pito comes in from a long day of work to find that Piza wants his services. Very important that nobody follows him they will meet outside the city. Piza tells Pito to follow his instructions or the city of LA will be minus one surgeon/gravedigger. Pito is impactado.

Pito sneaks out but is followed by his drinking buddy, and in typical Three’s Company fashion thinks Pito is off to meet Zorro, hears cash registers in his head and follows Pito.

Padre Tomas and Diego in the batcave rehash the happenings in the gypsy camp and about SK. Zorro tells PT about the footsteps, trail of blood essentially the same thing Prudencio told FS. They were apparently taught by the same person. PT says maybe the person who found SK doesn’t know who she is but Zorro says don’t worry he will find her. Diego says all this hasn’t stopped affecting him including Esme’s death. PT says it’s a battle for the Spanish thrown and a lot of blood is going to be shed. Zorro promises to not let that his happen. PT says his obsession with Maria Pia lead to SK’s death. Zorro says that he and Monty will pay for everything they’ve done even if it costs him his life.

Pito meets up with Piza and Mr. Roper sees the reunion and thinks they are both going to meet Zorro. Mr. Roper says they will have to share the reward cuz it was his idea. Whatever.

FS and MP have a chat in the church. FS talks about his threat to the Cardinal. MP says FS isn’t God and call him egotistical. FS sounds offended and says that God to heal MP so she can return to him which merits a slap from Maria Pia. Enter Sister Carola with the dress who exits quickly not realizing MP had company. FS tells MP how his warnings go unheeded and leaves saying he knows how to cause pain.

A blindfolded Pito is led to SK by Piza whose only concern is that Pito save her. Pito tells Piza that a surgeon saves lives not remove them from the death’s snare, it would take a miracle for her to live. Piza tells Pito that he will realize that miracle. He will bring anything he Pito needs. Pito tells Piza it’s a challenge aside from fever, the bullet damaged internal organs and he sees a lot of fractures. Pito reminds Piza that if she dies he’s also a grave digger. Piza warns Pito that if she dies there will be a grave but for him. Pito is impactado.

Back to the de la Vega’s where Alej with a weak Dena in tow tells Dol that he’s convinced Dena to have tea in the garden. Dol tells Dena that her husband’s company will do her good. Dol is about to get the hot water but Dena says don’t worry about her. Alej says they are there to take care of her and all of a sudden Dena faints. Dol says its because she hasn’t eaten anything and worries that Esme’s death will take Dena [maybe Dena is pregnant, wow every woman in old LA is very fertile, must be something in the water].

Back to the prison where Monty goes to Esme’s cell to bug the crap out of her and then he’s surprised that Esme isn’t all smiles to see him. He says that she needs to be whipped but he has more pressing matters and all his mom and her have caused him are problems and he will find SK. Esme tells Monty that SK is on her way to Spain and his goose is cooked. Monty doubts that SK is on her way to Spain and if she isn’t hiding then she’s dead. Esme tells Monty that SK will return with power and his head will roll. Monty tells Esme that her and her baby will make him very powerful. Zorro enters the prison the guards don’t react to Monty’s anger. Zorro does his thing and even causes a fire in the prison ?!.

Pito tells Piza that he did all he could but the woman has no pulse. Piza following the route of every other novela actor shakes the crap out of the unconscious person possibly snapping her clavicle in the process and orders her to open her eyes. He starts punching the crap out of her sternum and tells her she has to wake up, she has to reclaim her thrown and I think if she wasn’t dead before she’s dead now. Piza gets angry at his luck and is about to go after Pito when SK starts coughing. Pito says it’s a miracle and congratulates Piza. [Poor SK will probably have to be wheeled to Spain ala Christopher Reeve and it’s a miracle?]. Piza orders Pito to continue taking care of patient.

Back to the burning prison and guards running around like chickens without a head. I think Monty said something about Zorro burning the munitions stockpile.

Back to Piza, Pito and a handicapped SK. Pito wants to know what happened to woman and if she feel from a really high spot. Piza says yes. Pito says that the fall is what made stopped the bullets hemorrhaging. Piza asks Pito if he needs anything as the has to go back to the prison. Pito says he has everything. Pito realizes that his patient is the woman who was in the prison, the queen of Spain. Pito starts to fret about his luck, first its Zorro, now its royalty next he’s going to cure the wounds on Jesus Christ himself. ROTFL

Maria Pia tells Cardinal about her confrontation with FS. MP fears what’s to happen next but Cardinal says he will do consecration ceremony and then he will leave to inform Vatican of what’s happening in LA. Cardinal asks MP if she will be able to do it. MP says it’s a test of God and Cardinal admires her decision to continue. Cardinal tells MP to get ready for ceremony.

Monty is angry and looks like he’s shaking the ashes of his hair when Piza walks in. Monty asks Piza where has he been and tells him a half truth, looking for SK. Monty is po’d that Zorro comes and goes into prison as he sees fit. Piza is sorry but Monty basically rips him a new one and let me tell you it ain’t scoring any points in his favor. He even called PT more of a man than Piza I think. Piza tells Monty to lay off the de la Vega’s but Monty says Piza’s idea is dumb. Monty tells Piza that FS plans on joining forces with Alej and Piza asks what he wants done. Monty gives Piza a new order, assassinate the de la Vegas. Piza is impactado (which consists of raised eyebrows) but quickly recovers his perpetual frown.

We go FS’s place where he’s pouring some wine and hears Good night Govr. FS turns around to find Zorro telling him they have business to attend. FS is not impressed.
