I can rewatch it this morning and recap, Lynn, since I am home with pharyngitis and have no voice. It'll be a quickie.

Jeanne you're an angel! I kind of watched last night but was doing other stuff at the same time. I only remember the gross stuff, such as some guy (Claudia's dad or funny uncle?) answering a door while zipping up his pants and then Angel trying to shake his hand. Gross!! I wouldn't want to shake some guy's hand that was just fiddling with his doodah. No wonder Angel keeps getting sick. Maybe he should go to nursing school or take a safety and sanitation class.

Let's see.

The big scene with Emilio and the Mariachis ends up with him sending them on their way after only one song. Alina does come out, but only after it is pointed out to her that Rodrigo is on his way and there will be a big bustup if Emilio is screaming on the front lawn. She goes down, doesn't admit that she doesn't love him and they end in a big smooch that was featured in the promos.

It all ends in fisticuffs anyway on the front lawn. Rod insults Emilio with cheating on his wife, then when Emilio tells him he's filed for divorce, he tells him it's his fault for getting thelma knocked up. He also tries to argue that Emilio just wants Alina for "his collection of women." Emilio insults Rodrigo by saying that Rodrigo just wants Alina so he can kill her like his first wife in a car accident. This insult falls a hell of a lot flatter than Rod's.

Rod goes on to burn whatever pity we might have had for him by trying to report Emilio to Gen. Ochoa for "bothering" Alina and fighting with him. Ochoa is no fool he knows they had a fight oer Alina and he says he'll punish them both for fighting.

Gaspar and Luba--Gaspar still needs a kidney. He and Luba are visited by the Virgin of Peace again. They have to transfer to Puebla hospital because wherever they are is too rinky dink.

Alfonsina and Hugo tie up Mariana, Malena and the Doc, set the shack on fire and run away. They didn't do a good job because they all escape, although there are some anxious moments with Malena.

Thelma kidnaps Gaby outside her school with some cockamamie idea that she can blackmail rod into marrying and taking Alina out of the city. Rod and Emilio join forces to search for Gaby.

Alina passes her nurses test and has a really odd conversation with a nurse who cuts herself seemingly on purpose. Apparently military nurses also go to the same place that Edelmira did to get their nails done.
 

Yeah, that scene with Angel in the Barrio looking for Claudia was damn wierd. What is she, a hooker?
 

I posted a recap, for what it's worth, but don't know how to transfer comments. If someone knows how to do that, thanks! Or, if someone knows how to post the recap to Lynn's, thanks. I can delete mine.

I don't think Claudia is a hooker, though she might be. I bet she's an abused woman and this guy is her live-in who has her totally under his thumb. Just a thought.

No deleting needed. Once again I am responsible for over-eagerness. I started writing the quickie comment recap but got interrupted several times as hub was packing to go on a business trip. "where's my....?" You get the picture. By the time I finished and posted there were two other comments.

Sylvia~~~I am making a note to myself to just wave if we ever meet in person. I have friends [he's a firemen and she's a business teacher] who are a little germ-phobic. Whenever we go out to dinner together, they pass out the hand sanitizer. Also, because he used to inspect kitchens when he was a fire inspector, he will only eat in certain restaurants ! That guy was creepy...perhaps he is a relative who is abusing Claudia [like Acacia and Meliton]...that is a very disturbing storyline. Jeanne ~~~hope that you are feeling better soon. Thanks all for well wishes. I can actually swallow better now but cannot eat well (that's a plus, though, in four days I've dropped about three pounds). It feels like there is a big lump in my throat and another in my stomach. The pain of the sore throat is receding. I turned on the news last night and it's going around. Lucky me. I didn't even shake hands with the guy Angel went to see. So how did I get this infection?
