Pasion - Dec. 6, 2007 great miracles are happening here!
* Justo goes to mill office to talk with Vasco. Vasco comes down from the office loft. Justo is still searching for Cami. Vasco hasn't seen his sister at the mill (like he would know, he hasn't actually been working there all day). They also talk about Santiago, who is still unconscious. They are moving him back home today. Justo and Vasco leave to help in the transport. Justo mentions something to Vasco about Padre Don Agustin.
* Pancho and Crispin walk on either side of the cart with Santiago in back.
* Justo waits by the gate of Ofelia's house. Sofia and Fortunata stop by. Sofia passes along her condolences to Justo and then starts to vent her outrage over her no-good sleezy husband. Fortunata tries to give Jorge the benefit of the doubt. Sofia says stop he doesn't really deserve it. Vasco, Bernie, Pancho and Crispin carry Santiago on his serape(blanket) into the house. Justo and Sofia continue talking. Sofia asks Justo not to hold anything that happened against her. Justo is surprised and tells her he still has the utmost respect for her. She assures that if she finds out anything, anything at all that links her husband to what happened with Santiago and Cami, she will take her own immediate actions. Sofia then tells Justo to pass along her well wishes to Ofelia then walks away. Fortunata then passes along her own sympathies to Justo and Ofelia and their families. Justo politely says thank you. She tries to snoop a peek inside the doorway and leaves.
* Ofelia is at the side of her son's bed. Rita and Ofelia fix the sheets and covers on top of him. Ines enters and says Justo is waiting for them downstairs.
* Around the dining table, Justo tells the group everything Cami explained to them about Jorge and his "lordship right" the other night. Ines is crying and scared that the same fate could happen to her when she gets married. Ofelia tells her don't worry, we haven't even found a boyfriend for you yet. Then Ofelia begs forgiveness from Justo because she's been really worried about Santiago right now. Crispin steps forward and tells her that he and Pancho will do everything they can to help out around the house and shop until Santiago recovers. Rita asks Justo where Cami is. Justo says he doesn't know, she hasn't been located. Rita cries whether Jorge has her again. (oh, the shame of Rita's over-acting.)
* Justo goes to see Don Jorge at the mansion. Justo asks if Cami was there. Jorge is aghast by the question. "Here? Why? She completed her duties to me the other night." Jorge then goes on to wonder whether or not Cami just had to get away because of nerves or cold feet. He tells Justo don't worry she will return. Jorge then turns into Mr. Peacock and spouts on about his position in this society. Sofia stands and listens to the peacock from the upstairs balcony. As she comes downstairs, the conversation ends and Justo is about to walk away. Sofia asks Jorge point blank where he is hiding Cami. Jorge puffs and ignores the question. Jorge tells Justo when Cami returns to please advise him and then leaves. Sofia and Justo have a short conversation about Cami and Santiago before Justo leaves.
* Night time. The thieves lead the covered wagon down the trail. Inside the wagon, Claudio (Carla Estrada's son, Carlos) holds his brother Alberto as Jimena tears off a piece of her underskirt to use as a bandage and wraps it around Alberto's head wound. They talk together. Jimena sees Cami and brings her into their discussion - first they mention water; then Cami is impactado when Jimena tells her they are gathered there on the wagon to be sold as slaves. Claudio comments that if it's money that these thieves want, his cousin is filthy rich and can give the money to buy everyone their freedom. Jimena advises Claudio to keep quiet about his family inheritance, there is no saint or amount of money to help them now. With Cami's questions and activities, Jimena realizes that she's never been in this situation before. Jimena takes the leadership teaching role for the group and tells them what to do to stay alive. {thank you tash and maricruz for the correction}
* Rita cries and talks to Santiago, still unconscious, as she wipes water over his cheek. Santiago opens his eyes for a brief second. Long enough though for Rita to see, cry in happiness and kisses him. She asks him to do it again. (nes gadol hayaw peh - a great miracle happened here!)
* Vigil in town with everyone out in the street praying, chanting and shooting off fireworks. Men in wooden panga canoes rowing their little candle altars around (captain's warning: lighted candles and wood boats are a fire hazard waiting to happen). Justo, Ofelia, Ines, Vasco and the twins Crispin and Pancho are in the front yard of Ofelia's house talking about the search party and standing by their table overflowing with lit candles and a statue of virgin mary with a decorated lace veil over it. Rita runs outside to tell them that Santiago opened his eyes! Ofelia and Ines run inside with Rita. The men all hug and celebrate the news.
* The ladies run into the bedroom. Ines and Ofelia hover around Santiago in bed. Rita stands at the foot of the bed and assures them that he did open his eyes briefly - she saw it.
* At the riverbanks near a waterfall the next day. They all search high and low around the banks, hills, bushes, and dredging (or kanoodling) in the river for any sign of Cami. Fortunata and Sofia stand and supervise. Justo walks over to the ladies and is crying and disillusioned as he talks with Sofia.
* The thieves caravan continues rolling along the dusty trail. Juancho and his men are on horses chatting and laughing about the premium price they expect Antillano to pay for the ladies, and what they want to spend the money on. In the wagon, Cami sits with Claudio and Alberto. Jimena and the others rest.
* Sofia goes to husband, who is entertaining Alberto (or as I am calling him, Gasca's ancestor) and his men in the dining hall. Sofia asks Jorge for his help in the search for Cami. Jorge hems and haws excuses why he won't help. Sofia is frustrated and tries to get Jorge to agree. Alberto steps in and backs up Jorge's decision not to intervene in the search. Sofia walks out in a huff. Jorge and Alberto return to their dinner party.
* Caravan stops to rest for the night. Two thieves bring supplies back to Juancho and Negro by the campfire. Cami and Jimena talk as they watch the traders like hawks. Negro and another walk over to drop the bread and water jug by Cami - Dinner is served! Cami picks up the water jug. They pass the bread bag around, everyone taking a share. Cami carries the water jug over to Claudio - they are very watchful and careful as Claudio helps Alberto drink from the jug.
* After dinner, the thieves and Juancho are all tired, bored and lonely. They notice how inviting the lovely ladies look in the darkness. Cami and Jimena watch, and then panic, as the men approach. Claudio is horrified to see them approach and grab the ladies. He tries to fight with Juancho - stick to rifle. Juancho wins with one swift hit in Claudio's ribcage and Claudio falls to the ground in pain. Juancho pushes him and Alberto away as the men grab and overtake the ladies like rabid animals. (GANG RAPE!)
* Next day at the creek. Jimena, Cami and the ladies are washing themselves off in the creek. Jimena and Cami are talking. At the end of the conversation, Jimena tells them to finish up and leave the creek, so they don't draw any suspicions from the men. Back in the wagon, the ladies all sit in the back. Cami sits beside Claudio and asks how Alberto is doing. Juancho and his men are back on horses talking. Claudio tells Cami he is worried that his cousin will die. Cami tells him don't give up hope, he will live.
* Justo is drinking his tea on his dining hall patio. He goes to greet Sofia and Fortunata who have stopped by for updates on the search for Cami. They walk back to the dining hall patio, and Justo tells them there's no sign of Cami at all. Then he tells them that Santiago opened his eyes, for a brief moment, so at least they know he is still alive. He asks about Ursula. Sofia glares and then says how disgusted she is that her daughter doesn't want to do anything but lay in bed with little clothes on and won't do anything to care for her own daughter.
* Speaking of whom, we find Vasco having his rendezvous with Ursula in her bedroom at the mansion. He gets out of bed and starts to get redressed. Ursula is still laying in bed, naked under her bed sheet, and eating cherries one at a time as she talks with Vasco. He has to go back to work at the mill. She says why is that mill so important? He says maybe it isn't to her but to him and his family it's their source of income (ingresos). She then asks about Cami. He says they haven't found her. She mentions hearing a rumor about Cami being dead. He doesn't believe it's true. He tells her that it's been fun but he really does need to go. Ursula wraps her bed sheet around her and climbs out of bed. Then she walks over to her side table, takes out two keys and seductively tells him one is for the outside mansion gate and the other is for the door to the mansion so he can enter and exit late at night as he sneaks inside to visit her. (Vasco likey this plan.)
* Caravan stops for a meal break. Cami and Jimena talk about Jimena overhearing the thieves say they will be at the barrio at the bay (bahia) soon and from there they will go on a ship to an island. Cami is impactado and asks which island? Jimena doesn't know, she didn't hear them say it. Cami thinks they should escape. Jimena negates that idea. This is our destiny, she replies. Claudio brings Alberto over to join Cami and Jimena. Jimena shares her coconut with Alberto. Claudio tries to share his bread with her but she says he should keep it and hide it. Juancho and Negro grab and haul Cami and Jimena away.
* The caravan arrives at the cabana barrio on the beach. They cuss and grumble about Antillano (Ricardo). Mario sees them and goes to greet them. Juancho and Negro grumble about the last time they met - they accuse Mario and Antillano of setting them up and getting them drunk. Mario is like whatever and is about to leave. They wish to negotiate for the captives they brought with them in the wagon. Mario tells them when Antillano is available he will talk with them. Antillano is behind his cabana, looking out over the ocean to the horizon. He turns and walks back around the cabana to watch/oversee the activity at the cabanas as well as watch Mario talk with Juancho and Negro. He goes inside his cabana. Juancho and Negro and their associate theives start to unload their human cargo.
* Inside the cabana, associate hides the melon he is eating as Antillano walks inside and goes to peek through the crack at the persons being unloaded from the wagon. Antillano grumbles to Mario about what Juancho and Negro brought for trade/sale. Mario explains that Juancho says there are two beautiful ladies and two boys in the group. Antillano grunts and sighs about the two boys. Mario asks about negotiating with Juancho as Negro appears inside the doorway. Antillano thumbs for Mario and associate to go start inspection and negotiation. Associate and Negro leave. Mario stays with Antillano, who snaps his fingers as he watches Cami being unloaded from the wagon. (He's definitely curious and intrigued by her.)
* At the cabana door, Negro makes a crack about Antillano and his strange actions - is he really a pirate captain by birth? Associate snaps back - why should you care? Negro slaps him on the head and leaves.
* Out in the middle of the cabanas, the thieves push Cami into the line up with the others. Antillano continues to peek through the crack in his cabana wall.
* Antillano and Mario talk in the cabana about arriving at La Mariana in three days. Antillano is disgusted by the slave trading business; Mario reminds him it is his business - Antillano corrects him by saying it is the english business not his. He is getting homesick for La Mariana. Mario leaves to talk with Juancho. Antillano looks at his clam-shell pocket watch and thought bubbles to himself about home. He shuts the watch, makes a fist, and holds it up to his forehead.
* In another cabana, Alberto and Claudio explain to Cami and Jimena about their rich cousin, Duke Don Alvaro Salvatierra de Cueva. Jimena tells them not to say anything to Juancho or his men - no telling what they may do with the information or to them (she fears the worst). Alberto wonders then what will they do, become servants and have to do manual labor? Juancho and men enter with Mario, for an inspection of the merchandise. Juancho orders them to get on their feet. Mario walks over to Alberto, sees the head bandage and claims he is damaged goods and is unsuitable. Jimena spouts in Alberto's defense. Mario makes a low-ball offer for the ladies and an even lower one for the two boys. Juancho thinks the offer is a joke and shows (by grabbing and holding Cami's face) how beautiful she is - trying to get a better negotiated price. Alberto opens his mouth about his cousin to Mario - they aren't laborers but senores. Juancho rears back to hit him - Mario says stop little shark (tiburoncito), you don't want to damage the goods before Antillano even starts to negotiate. Mario has the men go outside to start the negotiations - it's too cramped in the cabana. As the men leave, Negro makes a proposition to Cami. She spits it back in his face. He says maybe (tal vez) and leaves.
* Out on the beach by the cabanas. Cami and Jimena sit together and talk and watch Antillano, Juancho and Mario negotiate. Jimena is eating a slice of pineapple. They chat about Antillano the handsome, mysterious ship captain. Cami is homesick.
* Under the canopy of the cabana, negotiations are going slowly between Antillano, Juancho and Mario. As Antillano tells Mario to bring the boys inside, Juancho reminds Antillano that they themselves both are prisoners with no real rights. Augustina starts to panic and runs away down the beach to the ocean's edge. One of the guards shoots her in the back with his rifle. She falls down dead. Antillano is angry - Mario pushes the guard and takes the rifle. Antillano argues what his motive was to shoot her. He says she was going to escape and he stopped her. They start to fight - he with his big pick axe and Antillano with his small knife. One swing of the big axe and the man was turned enough so Antillano could turn him more and stab him in the side with his blade. The man falls down dead in the spot. Antillano swings the axe so it is stuck in the sand. He has a glare down with Juancho and then Antillano and Mario go back to the cabana. Jimena runs over to cry over Augustina's dead body. Cami is scared and crying beside the cabana wall.
* Inside the cabana, Antillano and Mario talk with Alberto and Claudio about their relationship with Duke Don Alvaro. Juancho, Antillano and Mario discuss the story as well as the story going around about Duke actually paying money for Claudio and Alberto to disappear.
* That night. Cami, Jimena, Claudio and Alberto are awake and discussing the Duke and whether the story the men told was true or a rumor. Cami says she feels sad for Augustina's death. Jimena says that she is worried and fears the worst for them.
* Flocks of seagulls (gaviotas) on the beach. Cami, Jimena and the gang are marched single file to the waiting wooden panga boats at the water's edge.
* On the ship, Antillano stands on the upper deck supervising the loading of his human cargo. As he watches Cami look up at him as she is loaded into the cargo hold, he calls out to the crew to "HOIST THE MAINSAILS! HOIST THE SAILS! GET READY TO LAUNCH!" Antillano then crosses his chest and prays to God above.
* Inside the cargo hold, Claudio and Alberto are together, as the men place the rest around the hold area. Cami sits beside the barrel and remembers four years ago giving Santiago her neck scarf to keep her with him while he was away, they loved each other so much, they kiss. Cami snaps back to reality as Jimena hits her arm, and Negro passes out the plates of tacos. Jimena asks where they are going. Negro says La Mariana. Is that far? Jimena asks. Two or three days, Negro replies. Cami asks a follow up question. Negro, growing tired of all the questions, says Antillano says if there is wind in the sails, it maybe sooner. Negro unleashes a pig in the hold to watch them as he leaves.
* In the bedroom, Santiago wakes up and looks around. He tries to sit up and is in pain and can't. Ofelia enters with a food tray. He calls out, "Madre!" She is shocked, sets the tray on the table and is so happy he is awake. She tells him he's been unconscious for a whole week. He asks for (who else) Camila. She has to think how to answer the question. He asks if Cami is okay. Ofelia says she's fine, that Jorge didn't touch her at all. He asks where is she? Ofelia lies and says she's on a retreat to Donda Carmelo to pray for him. He grimaces as he tries to sit up again. She explains he was so bad they thought he would die. He grins and says he is still alive and very much wants to see Cami. He makes his mom promise to send for her immediately. Mami says first he needs to eat some food, to regain his strength. They continue to discuss Cami - he really needs to see her. He then says, "One day, I am going to kill him (Jorge). I swear I am going to kill him." Ofelia can only look on in guilt and worry.

“perdoname for the slowness in posting. I was drooling way too much over our first sight of our favorite pirate captain” LOL! So, have you gotten to see him in the Ladrón film yet?
“Vasco hasn't seen his sister at the mill (like he would know, he hasn't actually been working there all day)” LOL! Was it my imagination or did he look a little wiped out from his afternoon delight with Ursula?
“Fortunata …. tries to snoop a peek inside the doorway and leaves.” What do you think that was about? I wondered what she could be up to.
“Juancho, Antillano and Mario discuss the story as well as the story going around about Duke actually paying money for Claudio and Alberto to disappear.” The Duke is afraid they might inherit?
Schoolmarm Jeanne
no i never did see Ladron in the theaters. did you? it closed before i got a free weekend to make the trip and see it. i just pre-ordered a dvd copy so i will have to wait until february to enjoy the movie.
fortunata is the town gossip, so i'm guessing she is just looking for something to talk about.
about the Duke stories - that's what i got the sense of from the little bits and pieces i was able to actually understand from the conversation.
DANG antillano looks H-O-T!! when he turned around and walked into the cabana, so tall, ripped and robust...i almost walked into the TV. i like his long hair and black outfit, and long legs, and wide back, and and....aaah.
i didn't like how cami and jimena got raped, but shout out to carla estrada for breaking the rules and making it realistic. the scene in the river was very sad...
on a different note, was anyone scared like me that cami's hairdye was going to run out in the river?
oh, and i thought that other boy (alberto), was Claudio's brother (not cousin)? correct me if i'm wrong, but i think the cousin is the duke of salvatierra, who supposedly paid to get them kidnapped and killed. i agree with capn jenny, maybe the duke is afraid they might inherit the pesos.
calmadito tiburoncito (calm down little shark)...that'll be by new motto...hehe ;) i like mario!
Thanks for the tip on pre-ordering. I'll do that. I figured Fortunata was a gossip. That's probably it--intelligence-gathering. I bet we'll get to meet the Duke, too.
Jeanne
And I bet Susana Gonzalez is even more afraid than I am.
I didn't get enough time with Fernando to decide what I think of his acting skills, but he sure is purty. I also like how he can stab real fast. That's one of my requirements.
Did anyone else think it was stupid of those guys to rape Cami? I would have thought they'd have gotten a better price for a virgin.
Schoolmarm Jeanne
Anybody know the acress playing Jimena? She looks familiar but I can't place her.
They made Fer look especially handsome and mysterious with the dark liner and shadow around his eyes. They managed to really bring out the exotic in him. YUM! Everytime I see him in a new role I think they cannot possibly improve him but then they surprise me. Kudos to the make-up artist who is in charge of Colunga in this part of the production! Hubba hubba!! I am not worthy. I am not worthy.......
He may have been wearing a green coat and his hair was in perfect marcelled waves. I've seen that hairstyle on ladies in the 1930s, but that was the first time I've seen a man sporting that look. 18th century decadence, I guess.
I liked Mario's look as well as FC. Liked the way FC could handle a knife and a bad guy.
La Paloma
I'm hoping we're not going to be subjected to too many more rape scenes. But I like the more savage nature of this telenovela in that we get a galan who seems to be strong and smart and unlikely to be shedding any tears! Nothing against men crying, it's just after Rodrigo Montalvo I think I will enjoy sexy that comes in a stoic package!
I thought things really picked up in last night's episode. Oh Fernando, you did not disappoint me you hot hunk 'o manliness. I like Mario and Jimena too; they bring a lot to the program.
Personally I not really feelin it.
I seriously wish everyone didn't have the same generic hairstyle and dress..I get so confused.
Fer is hawt, but then most of the pirates look kinda hawt to me & except for Fer, I can't tell them apart.
Isn't it awesome the wonderful dental care these folks must have had? Most people had severe peridontal disease by the age of twenty.
Thanks Kay:Alberto Estrella, now I see it. Yep he was in EEAYO, he he played one over the top BSC villian.
No one said anything about pirate's monk disguise; did you notice how impossibly WHITE that rope belt of his was? Looks made of brand new polyester right off the boat from Shanghai.
thanks for the detailed and helpful recap!
INSTRUCTIONS:
Once you find a pirate or other avatar you like right click and save it to your Windows "My Pictures" (or equivalent) file. Go to your edit my Caray! profile page and midway down find the picture option. Choose the first radio dot and "Browse" it from your computer files then upload the avatar from your personal computer's picture files. That way nobody's paying everytime it's hit online.
When you publish your comment you'll see your little avatar show up. It won't on the main recap page, but it will on the smaller Post a comment page.

What did you mean that "no one's paying" every time it's hit?
Captain Jenny Cash/Schoolmarm-in-Black
I too thought the gang rape scene was over the top, but also felt that it was a good indication that maybe this novela won't just take the easy/well traveled route all the time. Maybe that's why the Miguel/Estrada productions are so popular they don't always do what you expect? After the Heridas/Duelo/Amar trifecta, I am DYING for something that breaks the mold a bit and hopefully this will deliver.
J.R. - how did you know which particular Porno Twin was talking about watching the shop? And while we're at it, how did you get the name of every single character? I don't know how you know the names of each pirate, each slave, each random person on the street. Did you come across an actual script somewhere? If so, I might want to see that, to keep the names straight.
I know everyone is also a bit disappointed with the slow start, or seemingly slow start, but I think that's just because we expected day one scene one to be Fernando Colunga on a pirate ship. There are a lot of naysayers at the beginning of each new show (everyone hated La Fea before it even started, look how popular that became) so I'm sure it will all be ok.
I thought the sound effects of Antillano stabbing the guy on the beach were awesome, he twisted the knife three times and we heard each twist in gory detail. Good job by the TV folks of putting this at the 9 P.M. Eastern slot, rather than earlier in the night. Gang rapes and stabbing are not great for dinnertime viewing.
I hope to have the Friday recap up later today, I'm stuck working part of the day so I hope I have to do that.
==========
As for horrifying rape and murder scenes, well me hardies, do you want Pirates or Pussycats? Kudos to Carla and Monica for not pussyfootin' around (pun definitely intended!) when making this production. Brava! Brava! Bravisisisima!

"One thing about Colunga I've seen him in a half dozen novelas and never saw him work up a single tear..." Thu Dec 06, 01:49:00 PM EST
FC cries on cue a couple times in Amor Real (he didn't get all those awards for nothing). I haven't got a spare minute right now or I'd look up some still shots for you.

Did you ever see Gene Kelly dance? Spectacular! The man was born to dance, and you'd swear, nobody can do it better. Except ... he danced next to Astair. Once. Only once. Dancing next to Astair, Gene Kelly looked like a rank amateur, a tired-out hoofer. Likewise, you pull up a good photo of Jaime Camil, http://u.univision.com/contentroot/uol/art/images/tv/nov/2006/11/061106_fernando_3.jpg , or one of his can-anyone-be-as-sexy-as-me photos, http://f3c.yahoofs.com/shopping/3068082/simg_t_mf064673re2pjpg175?rm_____DxdMcgxfA , and you think no one can top that.
Until you see the Fernando Colunga photo on the sidebar of this blog, and Camil just fades away in the comparison. That is, if you want it for a still photo - for a poster, wallpaper, etc. No one comes close.
But. BUT... if you want a galan in a novela, Camil's facial expressions, his expressiveness, his intensity, his use of his body ... he leaps right off the screen. Colunga is good. Don't get me wrong. And I certainly won't get tired of his scenes any time soon (play. rewind. repeat.). But when they're moving, not just on a static poster, Camil outshines. IMHO.
Judy B.
Yay! Somebody who appreciates Gene and Fred. They are my all time FAVORITES from the golden oldies.
Fern the pirate..WOW!! I totally forgot about Ladron, cap. jenny your comment just reminded me of a movie to add
I too liked that Jaime and FC analysis. FYI Jaime is working on another novela it started filming in Mexico(sad to say its a Rosy Ocampo #) together with Diego from ASL and Miranda from Heridas
that'll be intresting to see (the novela not the snapping)
Can I be a captain too?
http://www.piratequiz.com/
Mad Mary Cherry Fizz/Susanlynn – speaking of regalia, I have mine with me on this trip and I’m marching with the crowd tomorrow.
☺
1st Mate Black Mary Kidd/Marycelis – J. R. told me she’s got a copy reserved at Amazon, so you might buy it, or I imagine you can rent it. I think I’ll buy it even if it’s a dud. It’s got plenty of FC. And “that'll be intresting to see (the novela not the snapping)” ROTFL!
Jardinera/Cousin dread pirate Cash – I have to ‘fess up, someone else gave the website, I just repeated it. ☺
Jeanne
how did you know which particular Porno Twin was talking about watching the shop? I don't I just have to watch, listen carefully and guess really well.
And while we're at it, how did you get the name of every single character? I don't know how you know the names of each pirate, each slave, each random person on the street. Did you come across an actual script somewhere? If so, I might want to see that, to keep the names straight.
Here's my secrets for names of characters:
1. I wait until Fernando says them, if he doesn't then I hope and pray someone else will during the episode.
2. I have been cheating and reading the esmas.com summaries since this novela started in mexico. they do a pretty good job of identifying the characters in the summaries. The outside tidbits I've picked up come from the press releases and stories I've read on the internet and on esmas.com since Carla started the casting process.
3. I just came across the imdb page for Pasion where it lists all the cast and has names of characters for almost every one listed.
have fun, and hope these help.
J.R. :)
Willa the pirate poodle and I are trying to do our part. She is waiting for more running horse scenes, I want more Colunga moments with him doing anything. The story does improve with each episode so next week should really sail, no?
I appreciate all the dialog and sharing of web, photo and other tips too.
I saw El Ladrón que Robo a Ladrón the first day it showed here in Albuquerque. I really liked it. I am also recommending "Bella" a Spanish laden but English dialog US film that is really sweet and is such a slice of New York City and loving Hispanic family life. So evocative of NYC you can almost smell it. I want to see it again.
Dread Pirate Cash, did you see the one w/ Gene Kelly dancing with Astair? The contrast was subtle yet amazing. Is it any wonder that Gene wouldn't dance with him after that?
And for those of you still pining for La Fea, I'm glad I'm not the only one left. Stop by the TNW forum, http://foro.telenovela-world.com/n4/list.php?f=406 . I post stuff as I'm watching the DVD's. A few of us are still there discussing Fea; come keep us company! If you ask real nice, I might even post a few favorite Jaime Camil screenshots. Is that a bribe? YES!
I think I've seen everyone that's come along, or hope to. Yes, I saw that one, but years ago. It's like watching the two great maestros, but Astair floated on air. I recently saw a cut Judy 2cats sent along of him and Ginger and I was in heaven, marveling and had to watch it over and over.
Captain Nickel Julie Vane. I like it! Chris should have "iron" in his name, that's very ferro-like. Maybe something like Feral Ferro Iron-heart.
In the Jaime Camil vs. Fer competition, I'm all for Fer, but as far as La fea goes, what about Juan Soler, who definitely makes my heart beat a little faster.
I loved Fer, AND Saúl Lisazo, in the movie Ladrón que roba al ladrón.
