Pasion March 25, 2008 Baptism of baby Ana Maria; Rico returns to town, pays off debt and plans to escape with Cami

EPISODE 73:
* Rico climbs down into panga and directs Mario and crew to row towards shore.

* Justo speaks with Sofia in her private salon. Sofia is impactado to learn that Lis won't let Cami have visitors. Sofia leaves room calling for Consuelo.

* Rico and crew come ashore carrying the chests.

* Sofia forces her way past the guard at the door. Cleo opens the door - Sofia is aghast to see Cami on hands and knees scrubbing the pavers. Sofia picks Cami up and orders Cleo to get Lis for her. Cami hands Sofia her note for Justo. They hug and Sofia prays for Rico to return and everything to be resolved.

* Rico, Mario and crew on horseback with chests. Rico is anxious to return to town.

* Rico and crew meet up with Chino and crew on road. Chino asks if Rico met with men Paisana sent to Posada Iguana. Rico and crew came ashore at a different point. Chino tells Rico that Cami's family knows about Rico's true background and that Lis has Cami with her. Rico is impactado; Mario tries to talk him out of returning to town; Rico doesn't listen and gallops away - his crew follows.

* Sofia and Lis have strong discussion about Lis not permitting Cami to have family visits and Rico's reaction to Lis' decision about enslaving Cami. Lis will only sell Cami to Rico and that decision is final. Sofia warns Lis about Rico and leaves. Fran warns Lis about making an enemy of Sofia.

* Sofia is fretting and worried about Cami as she talks with Jorge at the mansion. Sofia hates that Lis won't sell Cami to anyone but Rico. Jorge argues for Sofia to stay out of this matter.

* Sofia goes to house and talks with Ines in the yard - Ines tells her that Justo and Santo are inside discussing how to pay off the debt because Cami doesn't want Rico to do it. Sofia can't believe it.

* In salon, Justo and Santo are discussing how to gather enough money to pay off Cami's debt - Justo thinks Jorge may be the one with enough money to help. Ines enters to tell Justo that Sofia is waiting outside.

* Outside in the lawnchairs, Sofia talks with Justo about letting Rico pay off the debt, he is her husband and is obligated to do it. Justo is torn. Sofia gives Justo the note from Cami. Justo reads it and everyone is excited to know that Lis has cancelled the debt. Sofia says read what the condition is. Justo reads and says there isn't anything more written. (Uh-Oh!)

* Rico is determined to return to town. In woods, Mario and Rico argue over why Rico shouldn't go into town - in case the authorities are pursuing him as a pirate. Rico is impatient and angry and barks at Mario to give suggestions.

* As they clean the patio, Cami finds out from Candida about Alberto and Lis' engagement as well as Uriel and Ursula's engagement. Cami is also upset about not attending her niece's baptism. Cleo comes out, interrupts and gets after both of them for gossiping on the job. Cami scolds Cleo and goes inside. Cleo scolds Candida and forbids her niece from talking with Cami anymore.

* In the storeroom, Cami cries and prays to G-d to understand why she is suffering from so much heartbreak.

* Uriel waits and talks with Jorge in the entry salon - first they discuss business; Mateo is away helping deal with the shipments. Uriel asks Jorge when they will formalize the engagement for him and Ursula. Jorge tells him about Rico and because of their business with the pirates, they need to keep a low profile right now. Uriel agrees. Sofia and Fortunata come downstairs. Ursula has a headache and won't be going with them to the baptism.

* At the church, Santo and Rita watch as Padre Don Agustin, and godparents Ofelia and Justo baptize little Ana Maria Marquez Darien.

* Outside the church, everyone congratulates Santo and Rita. Justo invites Jorge to the reception at the house. Jorge turns it down. Jorge congratulates Santo and asks him to come by the mansion after the reception to meet with him. Santo agrees.

* The whole family walks over to the house. Justo is talking with Sofia and Fortunata as they situate themselves around the table in the yard. Fortunata blabs about Ursula and Uriel's upcoming engagement.

* Jimena comes to the mill and asks Higinio where Ascanio is. Higinio says in the office. Jimena goes upstairs.

* In the office, Ascanio is hard at work sorting through the files of paperwork as Jimena enters to greet him. Both received invitations but declined to attend the baptism. Jimena is upset about the situation with Cami, Rico and Santo. Ascanio continues to sort through the files as he talks with her. She bugs him to take a break and walk into town. He agrees.

* In the woods, Rico agrees to wait there. Mario and crew will deliver the chests to the authorities. Rico commands them to leave now - he's impatient. They leave.

* Manuela visits Ursula in her bedroom. Manuela asks Ursula why she didn't attend baptism - Ursula wasn't interested, Manuela wasn't interested in attending either. Ursula chides Manuela over her secret love for Ascanio. Manuela is nervous and gets after her for it but Ursula doesn't stop right away. Ursula offers Manuela some cherries and asks her opinions about Lis - Ursula thinks she is a snake and a rat.

* Mario and crew arrive in the plaza and unload the chests from the horses.

* Mario and crew bring the chests into the chambers of Don Eustaquio. Mario explains the chests are the money Rico promised to pay off Cami's debts. Mario also explains why Rico didn't come himself. Don Eustaquio explains to Mario they never had been pursuing Rico for piracy, and how Cami is now in servitude to Lis. Lis is now living at Cami's old house, not Alberto's. Don Eustaquio is pleased that Rico returned and completed his promise. They discuss Lis' decisions and the effects of this on the Darien family.

* Ascanio and Jimena are on the plaza - Jimena gets a pastry snack. Manuela rushes passed. Ascanio tries to stop her to talk; Manuela excuses herself and continues on her way. Ascanio is really concerned and Jimena chides him about it, until she sees Mario walk out of the municipal building. Jimena runs and hugs him on the plaza. Jimena asks him where Rico is. Mario holds up his two fingers to keep her quiet.

* In the cafe, Ascanio tells Mario how he and Santo met Don Molinar Pastor and the real Don Ricardo Lopez de Carvajal and Santo's reactions to Don Ricardo's story. Ascanio says Santo won't report Rico to avoid disgrace to the family. Jimena adds that Cami had to make a deal with Santo to keep him from telling the authorities - she had to promise to separate permanently from Rico. Mario is worried.

* Mario goes back to the woods and tells Rico what he learned from Don Eustaquio, Jimena and Ascanio. Rico is furious, mounts his horse and gallops towards town. Mario and crew follow.

* Alberto is trying to hug Lis in the courtyard. He wants to have a huge party and announce their engagement to everyone in town. Lis only wants a small private reception. Alberto really wants to marry her soon. Lis makes excuses why they have to wait. Alberto is frustrated and acts like he understands. He brushes her hair back off her shoulders; she makes a really nervous, disgusted face as he kisses her neck. Alberto leaves. Lis calls for Cleo and asks her to get Cami for her. Cleo helps Lis inside the house.

* Rico stops, Mario gives him instructions of how to get to house. Rico, Mario and crew ride to town.

* In the salon, Lis orders Cami to convince Rico they have to separate. Cami says he's not stupid. Lis says to do whatever she has to convince him. Cami remembers her deal with Santo in the jail cell. Cami asks what's in it for Lis? Lis tells her that Alberto suspects Rico is Antillano.

* Rico and crew arrive outside the house. Rico barges into the courtyard and orders the nervous nilly Cleo to tell Lis he is there to speak with her. Cleo runs inside.

* Cleo finds Lis with Fran in the bedroom. Cleo tells Lis that Rico is outside waiting to see her. Lis is excited and says she'll see him in the salon. Cleo leaves. Fran seems curious and bewildered.

* Cleo escorts Rico to the salon.

* In the storeroom, Candida sneaks in and tells Cami that her husband is in the salon, he wants to speak with Lis. Cami is excited that he has returned. Candida has to leave so her aunt doesn't scold her again. Alone, Cami prays for strength and the words to convince Rico.

* Lis enters the salon and greets Rico. Rico asks Lis why she won't permit Justo or the family to visit Cami? Lis says it wasn't her idea, Alberto forced her to do it. He's cruel, he threatened to report Rico as Antillano, and abuses his daughter. She's scared of him. Lis turns on the crocodile tears and asks Rico to take her away from there. He asks to speak with Cami. She agrees and begs him not to leave her there. She lays her head on his shoulder. He doesn't really believe her but plays along anyway.

* In the storeroom, Rico and Cami have a tender reunion with hugs and kisses. He knows about Santo and the deal; he assures her all will be resolved and everything will be okay. Cami tells Rico the truth about Alberto, Lis and Santo. Cami also tells him about Lis and her canceling the debt. Rico tells her that he already paid off the debt. She asks where he got the money; he says he asked Foreman for a loan. She's worried about the consequences; he isn't worried - he has two ships and is a merchant. He asks if Santo had told Jorge or the authorities. She doesn't think so, because of the deal she made with him. Rico won't accept the deal. He will only leave town if she goes with him. He doesn't give a darn about Santo's jealousy or Lis' perverse fantasies. He only wants a normal, happy life with her. She's worried about the dangers to his life if Santo does report him. He gives her strength and assurance to keep fighting to be together. Rico asks her to run away with him tonight. She asks to leave a parting note for her father. Rico will explain a cover story with Lis. He tells her she is life, his time and gives her his silver shell pocket watch. They kiss.

* Lis yells in the salon, thinking Fran entered. Rico says no, it's him. Rico tells Lis what he knows she wants to hear, that he and Cami have officially separated, and that he and Lis will leave soon - he will return for her and she is to prepare her things. Rico leaves. Lis believes him and thinks she's finally won.

* Rico leaves the house and tells Mario he spoke with Cami and Lis - Rico, Mario and crew gallop away.

* Lis goes to courtyard and finds Cleo. Lis tells her to tell Fran and everyone that she doesn't want to be disturbed at all.

* Cleo goes to Fran's bedroom and tells Fran that Rico was there, he met with Cami and then talked with Lis and then left. Cleo says that Lis is in her room and doesn't want to be disturbed. Fran is concerned.

* In the hallway with Cleo, Fran knocks on the bedroom door. Lis, inside packing her small suitcase, calls out that she has a headache and doesn't want to be disturbed. Fran is concerned and leaves to get some tea for her.

* Santo, Ofelia, Rita holding Ana and the twins leave the house. Justo is sad that Cami wasn't there. Ines tries to cheer him up. Justo and Paco talk as they walk to the house. Ines and Vasco sit at the table - Vasco asks her about Rico and Ascanio. As Ines talks so positively about Ascanio and his advice, Vasco asks her about her friendship with him. Ines explains. He asks if she would consider marrying Ascanio. Ines pauses and says, if Ascanio asks her again, she would say yes in a heartbeat because Ascanio would be a better husband than Vasco. (Oo, harsh words.) Ines leaves.

* Santo brings Ofelia, Rita and Ana back home to the bedroom. Santo has to leave to meet with Jorge - he doesn't know what the meeting is about. Santo leaves. Rita is excited hoping Santo has accepted having a relationship with his father. Ofelia just glares at her.

* In the storeroom, Cami cries as she writes a letter to her dad explaining her decisions and her love for Rico. She asks for his understanding and forgiveness.

ADVANCE: Cleo the blabbermouth fouls up the plan for Rico to run away with Cami right ahead of Mario leaving with Lis.

Thanks JR for another fine recap. I appreciate your clear untangled descriptions of action and conversations. And how nice to get to comment on this tonight while I am watching Charlie Rose talk about hydrocarbons.

Oh but Ric came back and we got kisses tonight. Oh wow, I am glad they didn't run the evil Lis humiliates Camila for too many episodes, it's disgusting. Lis having to submit to the fondling and kisses of Bouffy of the rooster cockscomb is so deserved. Lis fondling Ric was revolting but the greeting and hug between Jimena and Mariooooo was so sweet if a bit short. I loved Sofia calling Lis on her meanness and false and coy innocent stance. She's going to bring them all down tomorrow though. Nasty this one, the anvils better be out there piling up like those lamps were last week. Yes a wagon load of anvils just outside of town, it's too late and too dastardly for a mere pie cart unless it's a really big one pulled by huge oxen that mow down devils like dirty Lis.

Ah! Uriel was Castulo on DUELO, rapist of young women and Don Maximo's main murderous thug! Ended up catching a bullet, I do believe. I remember now; I thought he looked familiar without the 'stash. I can't remember who gave the tip on a previous post, but thank you!

If Le Bouffy and Lis aren't The Creepiest Couple of the Year, I don't know who is. I about busted a gut when, after he finished pawing her and left the premises, she stood there twitching and trying to get whatever parasites he'd left on her neck OFF. That's one thing Bouffy does very well--he wipes that stupid smile off her face.

Lis let the debt go for a condition Ric was no way in hell going to keep, AND the relief note had NO condition on it? BIG Homer Simpson moment there, LisaBUTTa.

Cleo, Candida, Cami. To be considered for employment at Lis' House of Pain, please fax resume and references to the number below. Name must begin with C.

Wow. Ines cut vASSco off right at the knees. Youch.

Looks like the GritEater has learned how to use some common sense and has stopped disrupting the familia (no Cami-rant for a while). That's right, wench, when you're not spouting delusions every five minutes, people actually let you hang around.

Nice Ric/Cami and Jime/MMMario reunions. Now if they can just get the hell out of Dodge... not that things will be all easy then (that Foreman loan is going to come back to bite Ric). They're going to have to fight for their love even harder, in order to deserve it and get it in the end, because this is TelenovelaLand!

Cleo the Blabbermouth indeed (scenes from tomorrow). I kept wanting MMMario to just club her hard from behind, and make something up when Cousin LisaBUTTa asked about hearing a body fall. Hmph.

LOL @ Cheryl! Bouffy of the rooster cockscomb.

Very nicely done, Capitana JR.

Thanks, JR. Lis must die. She is on my last nerve, and I really enjoyed watching Lafont fondle her skirt. You could see the little wheels turning in his big head..''How do I get under these petticoats??'' Neck-kissing is great, but it is decidedly creepy when Lafont is doing it. And Ric finally has accepted the fact that Lis is H.O.T. for him. Duh! Lightbulb moment ! She wants ME ! Dude, EVERYBODY wants you. I have known guys like that who do not have a clue when girls are putting the moves on them. The upcoming attractions of Lis discovering that Camila was also going along to Disney World were upsetting. I couldn't believe that Mario was right next to Old Blabbermouth and did not think fast enough to drown her in the fountain. Mario, you're a pirate ...you're supposed to be a quick thinker. And Ric, you , my friend, are the stuff heroes are made of . You are definitely the type of guy who would come to a damsel's rescue and kill if necessary or say, ''Don't talk to your mother like that, Missy.'' And Ines , we all told you not to pass up Ascanio o o , but did you listen???...noooo. And, so go the days of their lives.

That stupid nosey maid Cleo. I want to smack her LOL. I loved the reunion between Ric and Camila so sweet and Mario and Jimena. I loved how Ric wouldn't accept Camila ending their relationship because of sanctimonious Santi's jealousy and Lis's obssession for him. Looking forward to tonight's show to see if Ric can pull it off and get Camila outta that house.

J.R. - thank you for the fabulous recap.

Wow, that was a GREAT-GREAT episode! I am so happy that Ric returned and found out about Cami's pacts with Liz and Santo. I also think that it was great that eventually Ric understood Lizabeta's feelings for him and that she is mean, mean, mean. I only hope that she won't find out that Ric and Cami intend to run away before they acrually leave. But this is a telenovela so I have serious doubts about that.

I also hope that Liz will die but I don't want every villain dead. Someone should stay alive and pay the price. I hate it when everybody dies.

Ines has become one of my favourite characters. I love it when she "tortures" Vasco. The sweet, little Ines has grown up...

J.R. Really fine recap.

I would have loved to see Mario put his hand over Lis' mouth and hustle her off to oblivion. Dirty job, but somebody has to do it.

Cami is really overtaken by Pasion. On the one hand she agrees to leave Ric to save him, but then can't do it because pasion overcomes her and she must go with him. I hope they make it. How are they going to deal with the guards?

LaFont does such a great job of making the viewer dislike him. He is just all-around nasty. There is nothing redeeming about him. Hast la vista, baby! Call the Terminator.

From lower Ala

Thanks JR, nice, clear recap.
Grades for character growth: Rita, a D. Keeps complaining and whining, doesn't learn. Ines, give that girl an A. She's learned how to stand up for herself and strike fear into Vasco's stubby little heart. Let's give Vasco a B minus, since he's more aware of his faults but still has a way to go.

If Uriel/Ursula do marry, how well can Uriel run the store? Either Ursula will be beckoning with a feather plume from the back room, or she'll be off with a new lover and he'll have to hunt them down.

When the scorpion wagon comes to town, I'd like it to knock down Clotilde and run over her hands, so she can't keep flapping them all the time. Annoying.

Lis' facial expressions were so well done when LaFont was kissing her neck. You could tell she wanted to run, screaming all the way. Now I know the perfect way for Lis to die. They can marry, LaFont can give full range to his loving impulses on the wedding night, and Lis will either die of a heart attack/stroke or go mad and have to be locked away as a result. Couldn't happen to a nicer girl.

Hubby is concerned about my screaming at the tv. Told me last night "it's only a show, not real."
La Paloma

Is this the BEST telenovela ever? I mean, really, I am breathless by the end of the episode. There are so many plot lines, so many villains, so many heros, so many possibilities for trouble or resolution...I'm really enjoying this one. The very fine men are an added bonus!

Bouf is SO creepy & the look on LisaBUTTa's face after he made his suave move was priceless. Ha ha ha, you evil witch!!! No Ric for you. Talk about karma!

Broken record: love love love Mario, Jimena, Ines, Ascanio, & Manuela. High fives to Sofia (Whorehey wishes he had her intelligence & strength).

Love the cartful of anvils instead of pies. The list of potential recipients keeps growing so we need something big & heavy to get them all.

And finally, Ric is just...oh, I don't know how else to say it...so darn HOT!!!!! I'm afraid I'll be in rehab after Pasion ends because I'm going to suffer from serious Ric withdrawals. Eduardo Yanez ain't bad but Ric is #1 for me.

A million thanks for the recap! As always, full of clarifications & laughs.

:-)

Mad Maggie/CT: that is why God invented You Tube. We can still get our Ric fix even after Pasion is over.

Gotta love Ursula for calling Cuz Liz like it is: a snake & a rat.

It's official: Le Bouffy & Cuz Liz are perfect for each other because they're both a taco short of a full platter.

Ascanio knows something is up with Manuela. He had to seen the bruises on her especially if everyone else has.

Thanks to Miss Nosy Body Cleo, I think something bad is gonna happen next to Cami or Ric or both.

Paula: well, I guess I have to start lighting candles & give thanks to the Big Man Upstairs for YouTube! I never knew He had a hand in it! LOL!!!!!

Maybe Cleo needs a little Bouffy love too. That'll get those hands a-flapping.

Inez makes me so proud!
I cheered the other night when she told Vasco, no. And that was so simply put No. She didn't show anger, she didn't justify or explain why not so he could start the monotonous begging and explaining he had changed. Just NO. AND she didn't even slam the door!
Last night I was proud, and just a teensy bit afraid o' her! She slams hard when she slams!!! Vasco, your wife has told you to your face that another man -and named him- would have been a MUCH better husband.
Vasco not only has a long way to go to get back home but he's received notice it will not be the love he left behind.
Thank you women script writers! My instincts tell me that history has ALWAYS had degress of oppression and degrees of acceptance of oppression among women. Yes they had numerous responsibilities and extremely limited rights. But the mind of women did not have to evolve to feel emotional pain and to go into protection mode. That is why I say that Inez and certainly Sophia were not 'women before their time', they were women who choose to try and get away with it!
I also LOVE to see Sophia throw back her shoulders and resettle her corset. She gives me the image of a woman warior settling her armor. Go Sophia!
Lisabeta is also a strong adversay although she is fighting the wrong war: Take what does not belong to you, at any cost and nobody but yourself counts.

Thanks JR for all the fine details. Does anybody know the name of the actor playing Paco? I just did complete orgy of 7 hours of Amor Real (thanks to Netflix) and I could swear he is the same kid who played Manuelito in the final scenes. Much younger then but so cute! This kid can be a real scene stealer. I like how everybody (except grrRita) gets a partner in the opening credits including Paco with Tita. --Still waiting for that buried letter to turn up.

Paula, Ascanio did see the bruises on Manuela and was very upset. He thought her father had hit her for talking to him (Ascanio). Those two have to get together so he can show her what it's like to be protected and loved.

Capt. Bonney: "I also LOVE to see Sophia throw back her shoulders and resettle her corset. She gives me the image of a woman warior settling her armor." YES, yes, yes! My grandmother was a Sophia. They put her into a corset at the age of 13 way back in the 1890s and she wore it every day until she went to bed for the last time. It was her backbone. She carried herself through the wars and untold other misery with the most upright posture and I swear the darn thing held her together. Nowadays, we do yoga.

Yes, Paco is the same as Manuelito. His name is Alejandro Felipe. He is being in other novelas also. He was in Telemundo en La Viuda De Blanco doing dual characters. He was twind Duvan and Felipe. He was also in another telemundo production and his name was Frijolito. He is indeed very good.

I don't know if someone has already mentioned it here but I just read n TV world that Fran is Carla Estrada's real mother and I was really taken aback. Is it true or did I misunderstand something? I only knew about her being Claudio's mother.

As regards Manuela's bruises, yes Ascanio I think lifted her side of her face and asked her if her father did that because of him. Also, when Whoresela saw the bruises she flipped Manies'plait to get a better look. When she told Manuela that she knew her father beat her Manie started to alibi but Whorsela reminded her that she doesn't really care, 'lets talk about me'.

Sophia from Greece, yes you are right - Maty Huitron is Carla's mother.

Why it's so upsets you? She is a good actress!

If you click on apicture - it will have the note "Mati, con su hija, la exitosa productora Carla Estrada"

Eve from Cleveland

Thanks so much for the recap JR. I've gotten behind in viewing and reading.

While I despise Liz as much as anyone, she needs to live long enough to have to be Al's wife. That will be pure h*ll for her, then she can die.

Eve from Cleveland - thanks for the answer and the links. I don't know if she's a good actress since I don't watch "Passion" but I was indeed surprised because I didn't know it and I found out now : )

I was remembering what a beautiful, heartwrenching letter Camilla wrote to her father telling him why she was breaking her agreement to give up Ri-car-do. Of course there was the standard telenovela lingo that 'he's bueno & generoso & nobel. But among the other things she wrote was that she adores him.
And how wonderful is her faith that her father will be moved to forgive his little girl because "I love him Daddy."

For anyone interested, the latest issue of TV y Novelas features Mariana Karr in Carla Estrada's column. It's an interview that covers her life (with pictures from childhood on) and includes discussion of her new restaurant.

I love almost every episode, but last night's was especially gratifying. It wasn't just the way Sofia kicked ass as usual, or the way Ines let Vasco know he was a disappointment. It wasn't any one thing in particular. It was the whole thing. It was the way people weren't acting stupid.

In all the other telenovelas I've seen, either Camila or Ric (if not both) would have bought into this nonsense about her having to dump him. But not these two. I don't think they wasted a whole 30 seconds debating the merits of giving Lis what she wanted. They went straight to "screw that, we're goin' for it." I cheered like I've never cheered before! (In front of a telenovela, that is!)

La Paloma - you asked how Uriel would run the store after he's married - I think he told Mateo that he was going to let Mateo have the store since he wouldn't need the job any more.

Jestena: I had a feeling that Ascanio saw the bruises on Manuela & she covered for them. I was so sick yesterday from a bout of food poisoning (tons better today) that my brain was foggy at times. I too am so hoping Ascanio & Manuela get together on this show. It would be a serious crime if they didn't.

Mad Maggie/CT: all I can say is what would we do without You Tube?! LOL.

Yes Little Paco is adorable! He is a scene stealer.

Go Ines! She is making Vasco work at getting back with her. She's not making it easy for him (probably the first time in his life that has happened to him) & I say You Go Girl!!!

Yes, the wedding night from Hell. Poor Lis was upset by Bouffy's heaving breathing and pawing so she really wants to take the next flight out. But if she reveals Ric and Cami's escape there goes her ride. Too jealous/vindictive to think straight.

I think that Fernando and the little boy who plays Paco have great scenes together because the little boy played Fernando's son in Amor Real. He probably was only about 3 or 4 im Amor Real. You can tell that he is a very bright child. I predict that the little guy will be a galan when he grows. He's a good actor and muy guaypo. Agnes : Glad you enjoyed your Amor Real orgy...It's one of my favorite novelas...right next to Alborada. Pasion has earned a place beside them both. This show is moving so quickly. Most novelas drag out the ending and replay the action over and over. Not this one...things are happening fast in San Fer. Hold on to your hats everyone because there are swashes to be buckled and buckles to be swashed .

Aa..hh yes. I thought Lis was going to try getting away before Ricardo got back. That could have worked and the money would have been banked in her account and she'd still have her slave, keeping said slave away from R.
But she just can't get anything to come out the way she plans. Yep she's done for now. We could see from Ricardo's face he didn't buy anything she said. And there won't be room in the boat for her!
Now Big Al has the upper hand.

And Big Al likes to put his hands on her!? Ycie, yckie.eeee. yuck!

JR, gracias por un "recap" que es simplemente maravilloso. (That's about the extent of my Spanish. So, I'll quit while I'm ahead);-) Todays comments are also great and right on the money. Hey, with our collective energy pushing for a marriage between Liz and Buffy, it's gotta happen. Being blind, she won't be able to excape him. She probably would rather be dead than married to him. So for her that's a fate worse than death. I subscribe to TV & Novela magazine. So I had also seen the article about Maty Huitron (Fran) and Carla Estrada. I was surprised & planned on asking you guys if if I was reading correctly. Thanks to the person who beat me to it. I'm also surprised that Claudio is her son (and not her grandson). I love those TV and novela magazines but I'm still at the stage of mostly enjoying the pictures and the headlines. There was a really nice picture of Mario in last month's copy. Amazon.com has a half price subscription sale going on in case anyone's interested. OK, back to Pasion .. I like Jorge for some reason. I know he's gotta pay for some of his dirty deeds, but his death would sadden me. Maybe he can just be dethroned. I like the fact that he's not going to bow to Santi's demand to humiliate himself in public. Cami has moved on, so why should a third party bring it up again?

Big Al & his groping mitts...ew...there's an image burned on my retinas. Better go to YouTube & get a Ric Fix.

Hee Hee!!! Love all the comments about LaBouf , Lisbutta, and Cleo flapping her hands about! Too funny! If only in the previews Mario would just stab her to shut her up permanently! Oh well!!! Every night more and more anvils fall but at the same time I don't want this show to end! It's soooo good!

Hmmm...I thought that the guy who plays Claudio was Carla's son, thus making the actress who plays Fran his abuelo . And, I think the reason that Lis didn't leave town with the money and her slave Camila is that what she really really wants [quoting the Spice Girls] is RicRicRic. However, after tonight's episode, Lis may finally get it through that thick skull of hers that her dream of being with RicRicRic is never going to happen. So...then what is she going to do ??... More dolls ??? Higher hairdo ?? Poison for Lafont and/or herself ??? So the moral of the story is : Never put your eggs into one basket and never fall in love with your H.O.T pirate cousin.

The anvils are under the pies. ^_^

I felt like I needed a bath after watching Bouffy paw at Lis. Ew! (And may I say, I really love the idea of her going mad on her wedding night. Now there's a suitable end!)

I think we need to find to Cleo a new job. Is there a deaf-mute we could sell her to?

I tell ya, I may be a heathen for not falling for Ric on the basis of looks, but his attitude! *Fans self* Nothing I love like a good alpha male.

Re: Paco: I thought I saw on the Caray cast list that he was also in Alborada. He wasn't the sack-of-potatoes child, was he?

Does anybody know if there will be a DVD for sale of this telenovela? I have not seen one on Amazon.com yet.

Thanks!

Ali

Ali,

They advertised a DVD in Mexico near the end of Pasion there, so there will very likely be one in the US. How soon is another story--they seem to delay them more in the US (they do have to add English subtitles).

Pascal

I think it was about a YEAR between when LFMB ended in Mexico, and the US DVD release. However, since Pasion is only about 1/3 as long as LFMB, hopefully it won't take them nearly as long to cut the thing down and package it.

Hi. As always, thank you for your
