Pasión de Gavilanes, Tues. 7-1: the Wedding is cancelled

Pepita is a smart cookie. She couldn't guess that it was Rosario that Panchita was hiding and not with some boyfriend?

Abuelo asks if Grabi is 'bailando de una pata,' literally, 'dancing with one leg,' i.e., is she happy that the wedding was cancelled.

Otra vez, pobre Juan- It makes my arms hurt just to see him chained up like that. And when he had to ask Dínora to help him stand up, qué lastima!

Just before the scene where Juan get 'medical treatment' from the matones after Dínora goes after him with her riding crop, there was a scene on the You Tube video (cap. 100, part 2) where Norma is in bed remembering her last evening with Juan and hoping that nothing bad was happening to him that was cut from this version of the novela.

Raquel is stupid as well as evil. Why would she think that insulting Los hermanos Reyes and suggesting that Juan was dead would make Ruth come back to her?

I don't know if I would have stood as long as Norma did listening to the venom Dínora spouted before I hit her or just walked away.

Anyway, I am going out of town tomorrow so I won't be able to post anything for Wed. and Thurs. 's episodes. (The novela is not on on Friday.)

Now, I wonder why it hasn't occurred to Juan to buy off the matones. He tried to talk Dinora into letting him walk, so why not them. They work in shifts, so he could try his luck 'till he found the ones willing. His brothers would totally pay the rescue dough. Guess he's too honest for something like that.

Although Gabi is a terrible mother, I'm glad she at least has a conscience and wouldn't toast with Fern and Dino over the missing Juan. The thought of seeing her daughter suffering actually bothered her. Off course from the previews it looks like she's gonna turn right around and be horrible to Norma by taking Dino's side.

I was so proud of little Norma taking on that big bully Dino. I'm not a fan of violence, but she needed something to shut her up. Hope Dino doesn't turn around and take it out on Juan.

It's so weird to hear women like Rosario and Dinora talking about how much "more woman" they are when compared to the Elizondo women. Makes you wonder what they use for a yardstick. It was especially troubling when Dinora was telling Juan how they were both tall and strong and would look so much better together, etc. It's like she thought she was giving him and anthropology lesson and that it would make him more interested. I love how he told her he wanted a woman to love, not a trophy to parade. I really hope Ruth and Oscar's excursion lead them to Juan very soon.

Jean, I hope you have a nice weekend, remember to look out for the other guy while on the road. Stay safe.

Margarita, I too wondered why Juan doesn't offer the guards some money to let him go. I like you way you refer to Dinora as Dino, actually she is just a big ole dumb dinosaur, all meat and no brains, lol. It sickens me when she goes on and on at how she thinks she is more beautiful than Norma. To me Norma is more like a delicate flower and Dinora is like a prickly cactus...

Oh, and has anybody wondered if they are giving poor Juan potty breaks? I hate it that he doesn't get a glass of water only water thrown on him or poured into his mouth. Que triste...

Howdy =)

Ruth may not be a Reyes, but she's thinking like them. What was she thinking running off to the cabin all by herself? She should at least have taken Oscar & Franco (and Sarita with her riffle!) or had Zach take her around his lands...let him see what kind of shenanigans his kid has been up to. Hopefully the raucus she raised will distract the other two inside so Juan can come to the rescue. He's awfully weak, but maybe the adrenaline kick will help him in that. Here's hoping...

I'm bummed we won't get any PdG tomorrow, but am comforted that it will be back to 2 hours next week ;)

Good heavens! These people are as thick as two million short planks. Not to say the police, or the agencies Franco supposedly engaged to find his brother. Also Ruth, she looks like a Reyes so she must be as thick as a Reyes, going off on her own to 'investigate'! The director should have been fired along with the writers, cutting away to the most boring story ever that between Armando and Rosario. I've now reached a point where I fast forward the scenes between them.

Ruth looks like a Reyes so she must be as thick as a Reyes, as thick as two million short planks. As for the authorities and the agencies Franco supposedly engaged to find his brother, the less said the better. Fire the writers, I say. And while you are at it, fire the director for constantly cutting to the most boring story and couple of the whole series, that between Rosario and Armando. Enough already, if I did not know better I would wish these two to shoot each other in the next episode, so we don't have to see them ever ever again.

Hi, Emily! and WELCOME!!

I haven't watched this but I can certainly relate to your frustration with some of the writers and directors. I am currently watching "Mariana de la Noche" and have the same sentiments about some of the storylines and so-called couples.

Feel free to rant as much as you want. Just know that I do "see and hear" you :-)

Thanks for the reply Rgv Chick,

Glad to have found this blog! It is super! Watched PdG on Netflix . Very few men are as sexy as Mario Cimarro (the only reason to watch this TN).
