El Cuerpo del Deseo, Friday, Oct. 3 - PJ/S gets closer to what PJ left behind

As we have seen, PJ/S has gotten back to Río Claro and has convinced Gaetana that he is PJ in the body of Salvador. She agrees to help him. Now PJ/S wants to get back into his former world. He tries to get a job at the citrus factory but they aren't hiring. He witnesses Simón being fired. Then he and Gaetana scope out PJ/S's house.

Some random shots of Mario

Azur shows good judgement and bites Walter rendering him incapable of performing his chauffeur duties. Azur is hiding out in the woods.

PJ/S works his charm on Rebeca and gets him to hire him as a temporary replacement for Walter.

Rebeca asks if she has met PJ/S before. His eyes and voice are familiar. He says no it must be his dependability. That would indicate that Rebeca had met PJ/S before but when she showed up at his house, it seemed she had never been there before. When would she have met him?

More like Rebeca trying to put the moves on Salvador rather than actually recognising him. I can't wait for Isabel to lay her eyes on him and the two of them to start dueling.

At least Rebeca’s response to Salvador’s charms is a little more civilized than that of Doña Lilia or Fatima. I don’t know how PJ/S keeps himself from laughing when women just go ga-ga over him. Makes me wonder if/how much this role may have messed with Mario Cimarro’s head and possibly contributed to the demise of his marriage shortly after this novela aired. Kinda one of the things that make you go “Hmm…”…

Thank God PJ/S finally connected with Gaetana; I’m glad he finally has an ally. I’m enjoying being on the precipice of his big return. I hope things move quickly now & we’re not waiting forever for him to meet everyone. Can’t wait for the snap, crackle & pop once he’s back in the house. :-)

Aww, Mario sleeping…he looks so adorable! What a fine son he would make (*choke* *gag*). Seriously, I do think he looks really handsome with his eyes closed, especially as Juan (like after their first romantic interlude at the hotel).

I was thinking that too, Marie, about how Rebecca is at least a little more civilized, and also it appears Gaetana can resist him, as well as Abigail!. And how convenient that Angela didn’t go ga-ga. That would be creepy! I guess she senses the fatherly image in him. Even though we find it hard to believe, there ARE women out there who don’t swoon at the mere glimpse of that man. My daughter-in-law is one of them; she prefers my skinny, blond son with the receding hairline. Which is a good thing, otherwise she wouldn’t be my daughter-in-law!

They’re still finding any excuse for Salvador to take off his shirt. As much as I like to see it, I can’t help but chuckle. It always strikes me funny for some reason.

Thank goodness we had captions today; last week there were problems in the Chicago area, and from what I hear, on Friday they were off all over the country for over half the show.

I also don’t think we mentioned about Lorena’s breast cancer here—I found out about it at TW. She announced it to her fans recently.

How awful about Lorena Rojas. I hope her prognosis is good. I don't spend much time over on TW because the format of that forum frustrates me, so thanks for sharing the news, Cindy. Here's a link to the story (in English) in People en Español:

This is weird because just the other day I was thinking how interesting it was that while she has had work done on her teeth & nose, she apparently was ok with her rather modest bust (by telenovela standards), which I thought was admirable. If she ends up needing reconstructive surgery, then, as Christina Applegate put it, at least then she'll have cute boobs till she's 90! Here's keeping my fingers crossed & wishing her all the best.

Looks like the link above may not have transferred correctly. If it doesn't work, just go to www.peopleenespanol.com & click on the story there.

Thanks for the link, Marie--I read the article. She was lucky they caught it so early.

I know what you mean about Lorena being un-voluptuous by novela standards, and I also admire her for not getting implants. It drives me nuts when women do that--it's like they base their self-worth on the size of their chest. (Much like some guys who think women are sooo impressed by the size of their you-know-what!)
