El Cuerpo del Deseo, Friday, Oct. 31- Walter accuses Antonio of theft and PJ/S takes action

Only one thing really happened on Friday's episode. Walter and Rebeca decided that the only persons who could have gotten into the safe were Antonio and Simón. Walter tries to search their rooms but Abigail walks in on him. Then Rebeca has a brainstorm. She takes a valuable bracelet that PJ gave Isabel and tells her that it is missing. Walter and Rebeca accuse Abigail's children and go to search their rooms. They hope to find the missing jewels from the safe but they don't and they pretend to find the missing bracelet. Mayhem ensues. Andrés is for calling the police. Isabel is doubtful. Neither Simón or Antonio were home when this occurred and when Simón comes home, he nearly kills Walter.

Then Ángela and PJ/S come home and PJ/S takes charge of the situation. He gets the proof that Walter was a convicted thief from the study.

He hauls Walter off to the laundry room and says that he knows Antonio and Simón are innocent.

Antonio is listening outside the door.

Walter calls PJ/S's bluff and PJ/S produces the proof.

Walter is impactado.

Walter confesses that he planted the bracelet in Antonio's room. Isabel fires him but Andrés hires him as his personal employee just the way PJ/S works only for Ángela.

Antonion and Ángela have sex in the attic again. (Can't they go to her room?)

I won't be posting for the next two days. I am in a swing state getting out the vote for my candidate.

I love how PJ/S swats Walter around like a fly. It's fun to watch.

Is it just me or do Antonio and Angela not really have a lot of chemistry with each other?

I like that in this novela the Walter character does get swatted so much. It's probably not good that it is promoting violence but it sure makes you feel better.

We'll miss you, Jean, but in real life the next few days will be very important.

"Real life"? What is that? I live in Mario Land! Haha.

I agree, cc--I don't think Antonio and Angela have much chemistry.

We didn't get captions today in the Chicago area--none on Dame Chocolate, either. I tried to pay attention and for the most part can figure out what's going on. Some of today's Cuerpo was on the DVD, too, so that helped. And at least we didn't need captions to see Andres go berserk. He keeps getting worse and worse! I can't believe Isabel stayed with him after he tried to drown her--even if he was blackmailing her.

I concur on both observations: I loved seeing PJ/S bat Walter around like a cat with a mouse, and yes; Angela & Antonio don't really appear to have much passion going on. Watching them kiss, I don't know whether to wince or yawn.

I got a kick out of the whole newspaper clippings situation: Antonio discovers them one day, then merely days later, can't locate them again despite the fact that he & Simon tear almost the whole library apart. (I think PJ/S is right to object to Antonio as a suitor for his daughter. Not because he's working class, but because he's apparently dumber than a bag of hammers.) PJ/S on the other hand, supposedly not having looked at these clips for years, goes straight to the correct book right off the bat & voila! hits paydirt. Ah, life in Telenovela Land. ;-)

Marie Celeste - you slay me ;) I think PJ/S had already looked up those clippings once since he got back, and he knew what book he'd put them in. Antonio's not THAT dumb (he's pretty much figured out that S is PJ), but apparently has a lousy memory, or didn't pay enough attention to the book he found them in (I think someone interrupted him and he had to put the book away in a hurry). Regardless, I still loved the bag of hammer joke ;) ITA agree, both about the chemistry between him and Angela, and that they really should go to her room (it's not like people don't realize what they're doing when they come out of the attic together, so what's the difference if they do it in her room. Probably cleaner and more comfortable. If the issue is a lock, they can always change the locks to make sure nobody walks in on them.
