Caray, Caray!

I love this; the plot is thickening. Can’t wait till Isabel's "friend" goes tattling to Andrés. I can hear the fireworks approaching….

Once again, PJ/S displays incredibly bad judgment, this time with his handling of Rebeca’s visit (talking right in the open on the factory shipping floor). I also can’t believe that he continues to live with Gaetana and doesn’t yet have his own car, even now that he’s back at the factory in a good job. I realize he cares very much for Gaetana & the bar folks, but as someone who previously ruled his workplace AND home, I’d think he’d be chomping at the bit to get his independence back. I was gratified to see him actually using a cell phone in one episode, however. Apparently here Telemundo realized that when they do remakes of telenovelas first produced in the pre-“tech boom” years, they can’t ignore the modern-day gadgets that have become part of the fabric of our daily way of life.

As bad as some of his interpersonal judgment calls are, at least PJ/S’s fashion sense is right-on these days. The business suits are gorgeous, that great vest with the red back being a fabulous case in point. (Although, I can’t quite warm up to the huge knots in his neckties. Those must be some wide ties.) In the apartment seduction scene, with Isabel in that orangey-red halter top & PJ/S in the blue shirt & vest and both of them against the blue apartment wall, I thought it made for a visually stunning shot. Now, if some of his good taste would rub off on Isabel – and Angela (ojalá…) – this family would look like it fits the social standing it supposedly carries. Seems there’s a wardrobe double standard in this show – the men are dressed pretty normally, but the women rather like gypsies or dancers from a production of “Annie Get Your Gun” (Abigail & Rebeca excepted).

For someone who says he doesn't drink, PJ/S sure is drinking alot these days. I cringe every time I see it. Ugh--using a mind-altering drug to get romantic. Grrrr!

Marie, I think that audio clip might be from Mario's CD? I know he has a CD out now where he actually sings--someone posted a link on the LT board at Telenovela World. It should be one of the more recent posts there. The link let you listen to clips of each song. I listened to a little bit but with my dial-up service it was stop and start, stop and start, but I heard enough to get the idea. I wouldn't have known it was Mario, but it is, and he sounded just fine as far as I could tell. I had no idea he could sing!
 

Thanks for the video clip Marie Celeste. Mario has a nice voice. That is to say he sounds like Mario. I've always loved that voice since I first saw him in Gata Salvaje.

I bought both of mine off Itunes and I'm really enjoying them...one is a three song single and the other is eight song cd...Vanessa (Angela) is on it and has a good voice ..the vids were from a gal on that same forum..One little criticism I was a little upset that she had them on a You tube video this soon because I know Mario is out promoting his Cd and I'm pretty sure he would prefer people to buy them... ;))
