Sortilegio #18, October 29, 2009: Spies, Spies, Everywhere a Spy

From yesterday:
Replay of Nando and Vicky discussing what else—MJ and Alex. Victoria thinks it would be better if they divorced. Felipa, always the voice of reason, says that Alex can decide his own life. Nando says if nobody renounced the marriage in a month then it is legal. He says he talked to an attorney. They talk about Bruno and Felipa thinks accusations are based on truth. Victoria gets upset and Felipa says I won't say anything more. Victoria reaches over and puts her hand on Nandos. Nando's hormones go into overdrive and for a minute he just looks blank. Oh, wait, that's the look he always has.

Today
Paula skips down the sidewalk as Pimp Daddy walks up in the most awful outfit yet. There is just something about a man in a black and white geometric print shirt, oh-so-sexy red pants and his shirt open revealing bulging pecs (or in his case, lack thereof..) At least he's not in his underoos. He says she looks really happy. She says she is this close to getting into school. All she has to do is take a test. PD asks her if she wants to go back to the house. Paula says of course not. He says, well let's go get something to drink or eat as he mentally rubs his hands together thinking, “Now I've got you my pretty—and your little dog too.” Paula asks him if he has any money and he says not much but he has enough. Paula laughs and I can't believe she finds him so charming.

Alex and MJ are at a restaurant. They are going over the info they have gathered. Alex says everything was well planned out with the apartment and the judge and all the witnesses being “unavailable.” And nobody remembers seeing someone like Bruno. MJ looks at Alex and asks him what he thinks of her. I don't catch his response. He says that Nando and his mom have doubts. As always his mom is defending Bruno. Do we tell them the truth? Of course not. I don't want you to suffer more. Then what do I say if they ask me? Do I lie? Just keep saying we were married. MJ doesn't want them to think bad of her. Uh, it's a little late for that.

PD and Paula are eating ice cream. Paula chatters like a magpie about how she is so happy her sister has this new life with Alex. PD acting like her BFF says he thinks Alex is in love as he plays along to get more info. There is a jackhammer in the background so I missed what Paula says. She says something about Bruno and makes a face. She asks PD if Bruno is his boss or what? He say something about working for Victoria and Raquel too. Paula makes a face at the mention of Raquel and says she is crazy. He laughs and agrees.

Raquel and her pals are working hard at doing nothing in the hot tub and talking about the usual. Zeke appears with drinks and Raquel has him put them on the table. Zeke obviously strains to hear the conversation as they talk about Alex and his marriage to MJ. He must not have had his super secret multidirectional microphone to pick up the conversation. Roberto walks up and says he must be missing the gossip fest (la gran chorcha). Why wasn't he invited? Raquel takes great pleasure in telling him they found out that Alex and MJ aren't really married. Roberto looks doubtful and wants to know who told them that story? RaMaura tells him that Raquel overheard Vicky saying it. I can't figure out the look on his face.

Zeke is in the kitchen talking to Felipa. He can hardly contain himself as he rushes to tell her he heard that someone was trying to kill Alex.. Bruno is being accused. Whose side is this guy on anyway ? Felipa warns Zeke that he shouldn't say anything to anybody. Felipa tells him to zip it as she makes the universal sign for shut your mouth. She thinks Raquel is stupid and says she likes to make up things about MJ. RaMaura too. Zeke says he's worked for the family all his life and he loves everyone especially Victoria and Alex. Felipa says there are good people in this house, but there are some who are not. The kitchen phone rings and Zeke answers. He's told that someone is at the gate to see him and Zeke says he doesn't know him or know anything about it. He listens and then says ok. Let him in. Who is it Felipa wants to know. Zeke says it is someone that Alex has sent to him. Felipa reminds him to keep his trap shut. Zeke is offended and says I'm not a gossip! (chismosa) Riiiight. You just keep telling yourself that big boy. Between me and viewerville he's worse than a gaggle of viejitas sitting around drinking tea.

Chucho is coming up the stairs and looking around in amazement at this fabulous house. Obviously he hasn't been inside yet . They are so rich he says. Hello? Is there anyone here? Zeke hotfoots it to intercept Chucho. He wants to know what Chucho is doing here because he doesn't know anything about it. Chucho says Alex told him to come. I helped him after the accident as he steps forward to shake Zeke's hand. Zeke takes a step back like Chucho has the H1m1 virus and refuses to shake hands, and looks down his nose at him. Chucho says I am the one that saved his life. Alex told me to come and talk to Ezequeal Flores. Alex said you would help me. Help you with what? A job (chamba) Chucho says. A job doing what? Anything. First you will have to take a bath. We don't bathe because we don't have a any water. Felipa's curiosity gets the better of her and she comes out to see what is going on. Chucho's eyes light up and he rushes to introduce himself. He tells her that he helped Alex after his accident. He said Alex told him there would be a job for him here at the house. Felipa tells him that she is the assistant to Dona Victoria and that she is honored to meet him. She says that she imagines that he is hungry and takes him to the kitchen. He tells her that Zeke told him to take a bath. She says he's an old fuddy duddy and Zeke gets indignant and points his finger at her and says she needs to have more respect. She tells him to shut up. She takes Chucho into the kitchen. Chucho laughs.

Roberto and Raquel are talking. Roberto tells her that her mouth is bigger than her head. He gets after her about gossiping and the necessity of avoiding a scandal. He looks like he'd like to slap her lips off and I can't tell if he really is disgusted with her or is just complying with orders from Alex to keep Raquel under wraps.

Our double naught spy Pimp Daddy is talking to Bruno. He tells Bruno he thinks that MJ is in love with Alex. Bruno says she is stupid. She knows that Alex is just playing with her. All I'm thinking is, where can I get one of those tigers on velvet paintings. I mean, woo hoo, that is class for sure.

MJ and Alex arrive back at the house. Zeke tells Alex that Chucho came looking for him and Alex is excited. Alex says he would like to speak with him. Zeke looks a little surprised sand says he'll go prepare dinner for them. Alex goes upstairs to see his mom. Vicky is glad to see him. How are you doing? Alex says he has something to confess. I'm not sure what happened but it is certain that I married MJ on my own. Bruno had nothing to do with it. Vickie is elated.

Chucho is eating in the kitchen with Felipa and the cook. They are plying him with tortillas while he is plying them with compliments. He wants to know what's up with Zeke and when is he having surgery to remove the corncob that was stuck where the sun doesn't shine (donde el sol no brilla). The cook laughs and says that he is the majordomo. That's a big college word there so I'm sure Chucho has no clue what that means. He looked like he was enjoying himself though.

Alex and MJ are upstairs in his room having a conversation about being careful. There is a knock on the door and Zeke announces that he is here with the dinner. Zeke brings the dinner. Alex's phone rings. It is Fernando, the not so best friend, asking how it went. Alex tells him they didn't find anything and the judge and the witnesses have disappeared. Nando says we have a problem. Not at work but at your house. Raquel overheard Victoria and me talking about how you weren't really married. Alex says do you know what kind of scandal that would cause? Bruno intervened. I'll see you tomorrow. MJ wants to know if there is a problem? Did something happen? He says to go ahead that he has a few things to do but he'll be back. Alex goes to find Chucho. Chucho thanks him profusely and says the house is beautiful and that he likes the food. Alex is glad that he is happy. Chucho asks where he is supposed to sleep. Alex tells him to talk to Zeke about a room. Alex says he has to go, can they talk tomorrow. Zeke runs into Pedro who is sitting on his patio. Pedro is happy to have someone to talk to besides his daughters. He's also glad to meet the man who saved Alex. Chucho and Pedro commence to drinking a few cervezas.

Alex goes over to talk to Raquel who is hammered like always. He tells Raquel that he doesn't want to hear any more and MJ is his wife and she has all the rights that he has. Raquel says she loves him. He tells her that she needs to leave MJ alone. He tells her he loves MJ. Raquel touches him and strokes his arm. He's grossed out and says ewwww, we are brother and sister. She tries to kiss him. Get your cooties off of me. He gets upset and leaves.

Vicky is talking to Felipa who is helping her put sugar in her tea. I wonder if she has to fill post-it notes and staplers too? Felipa thinks that MJ sees things as they really are (and doesn't live in her own reality like some people we know.) Do you think Alex lied to me? Felipa doesn't think so. Vicky thinks that it is more logical that Alex made everything up. Victoria says she is going to talk to MJ tomorrow.

Alex comes back and wants to know why MJ isn't in the room. She wants to know where he went. He said he went to talk to Raquel. He tells her that Raquel overheard Nando and Victoria talking about them not being married. You know she hates my family. She'll do whatever she can to cause trouble. They finally sit down to eat.

Uli and Roberto are in a club drinking and talking about Bruno. Uli thinks Bruno is smart but he had a plan that failed. Some guy comes over and gets them for something. Uli says he has no money but Roberto says he will lend him some. I think that scene was just filler.

RaMaura and her sister are having some girl time and looking at magazines and talking about MJ. Oh, please, it is crazy that he could like someone like her. She is poor and stupid. He needs someone beautiful, educated and classy. Well, that's not you that's for sure.

Pedro and Chucho are still throwing back some brewskies. They have become fast friends. Pedro wishes him good luck on his first day on the job tomorrow.

The next day Alex is going to work in a chopper. (Isn't that the way you get to work every day?) Promise me you will say what we talked about. He kisses her and says he loves her and she says she loves him too. She waves as he takes off. I guess that's one way to get away from all the traffic.

MJ and Paula are talking. MJ tells her they went to the apartment and no one knew Bruno or remembered seeing him. Uh oh, here comes Victoria wanting to talk to MJ. Please can we talk in my study. I need to know the true story. You can understand I need you to be totally frank with me. Did you marry Alex or not? MJ gets upset and starts pacing. I married Alexandra Lombardo. Look me in the eyes. Tell me the truth. Tell me the accusations against Bruno are not true. Alex told me to say (?) I didn't catch it. Victoria is elated. I knew Bruno could not make this up. The heart of a mother can't accept. it. Alex is jealous. MJ begs her not to do something and Victoria says she will talk to Bruno. Thank you for everything MJ. Victoria looks relieved. MJ runs upstairs to cry some more. Bruno is sleeping and Victoria barges in. She tells him to get up. She wants to know why he is still in bed. Bruno says I'm not a child. Ha, I beg to differ with that. Victoria says she brings good news. The hit on his head made Alex think crazy. Bruno looks pleased. Bruno and Victoria come downstairs and discuss whether they need to get help for Alex. Bruno thinks he's crazy and dangerous and they should do something. Victoria says don't give me anything more to worry about.

Zeke finds Chucho sleeping under a tree. Do you know where you are? Do you always sleep in the garden? You didn't tell me what room is mine. I was hanging with my main man Pedro and we drank just a few beers. I bet he smells like it too. Here is the key and you need to be in the kitchen in 30 minutes and get your uniform. A uniform? Am I going to war? Zeke stomps off in a huff. Apparently he still hasn't had the aforementioned surgery.

Doctor Hernan shows up and Victoria tells him she is really worried about Alex. She and Bruno try to convince him that Alex is crazy and needs help. The doctor looks suspiciously at Bruno.
Alex is at the office talking to his friend (and I use that term loosely) Nando. Alex says Victoria won't believe that her son is a killer. Alex is leaving the building with Nando. Nando is saying that they looked for dirt on Bruno and found nothing.

Victoria is still trying to convince Hernan to do something to help Alex. Bruno thinks he should be committed immediately. The doctor says Alex is fine. But he says he will talk to Alex. I don't want to worry any more. Victoria tells Bruno he needs to stay away from MJ. And that's final. Maybe she would have better luck if she said “Because I said so.” That always worked for my mom.

RaMaura and her sister tell Uli they've got a plan. They are going to invent a lover and cause a lot of trouble. Oh, wow, what else is new?

Connie wrote: MJ looks at Alex and asks him what he thinks of her. I don't catch his response.

I can't be certain because clearly none of the audio guys on this show have any training or ability to hear, but I THINK Alex responds, "What can I think of you, my love? You were a victim." MJ: "And your family -- how much do they know?" Alex: "Well, only... only my mother and Fernando are in the know." MJ: "And what do they think?"

Mr Tacky says in his opinion, Alex is head over heels for MJ -- it's totally obvious. Paula thinks it's totally obvious, too, but adds that her idiot sister refuses to believe it. MJ thinks that Alex only wants her for sex or to get even with Bruno. Rather belatedly it occurs to her to ask if Bruno is his boss. Mr T says, "He who pays you is the boss, and Mr Alex is the one who gives me my paycheck."

When we join Ezequiel and Felipa, Ezequiel seems to be getting more and more wound up by her non-reaction to what he's telling her. "She said it was a sham and it could even have been Mrs MJ who caused Mr Alex's accident because she wanted to kill him!!!" Felipa tries to shut him up by saying they're just making stuff up, but Ezequiel thinks he's got hold of something so he won't let go. As proof he reminds her of that day in the salon when they both heard Alex accuse Bruno of trying to kill him.

Roberto reminds Raquel that because of her constant gossiping, the stories she's telling are going to be all over by tomorrow and her mother is not going to be pleased. Raquel doesn't care if her mother isn't pleased: It's her duty to warn everyone about "that impostor!" As for Roberto's look after she storms off... my guess is it's a combination of the orders from Alex to keep Raquel on a choke chain and very short leash, and also disgust, since of that coterie of self-absorbed idiots, he and Maura's sister seem to be the only two who are willing to try to see things as they actually are rather than constantly deluding themselves.

Alex told Vic the story he told MJ he was going to tell Vic when they (Alex and MJ) were talking in the restaurant: "I'm here to confess something to you: Since what happened to me, I've been a little... clouded. But it's true that I married MJ of my own free will. And... with regard to Bruno, to the-- to the-- to the lie, to the deception, the supposed attempt on my life... It was something my imagination made up. MJ didn't tell me anything." Later, back in his room, he's obviously let MJ know he went ahead with the plan. MJ objected in the restaurant but he insisted he didn't want anyone blaming her. Now she's objecting again, and more strenuously this time, saying he shouldn't have told Vic that. Alex says it's the best for everyone, but MJ says No it isn't the best for everyone (meaning in particular, not for Alex) -- now they're all going to think he's crazy. Alex: "Let them think what they like -- I don't care!" Yeah, that's not such a good plan, Alex...

So that we can all share in the revulsion:

Alex: I'm telling you again that what I said in that moment isn't true! I was traumatized -- hysterical, if you like.
Raquel: Well you can say that if you want, but I don't believe you. That servant set a trap for you and you fell right into it!
Alex: That is the last time you call her that -- I forbid it, you understand me? MJ is no servant -- she's my wife, and in this house she has the same rights as I do.
Raquel: I get it, I get it...! If that's what you want, then that's what I'll do -- whatever! But I'm also a woman, and my intuition tells me that you let yourself get snared.
Alex: Raquel... I'm not that foolish.
Raquel: I'm not saying that, but I also know that men don't always think with their heads...! Alex, I love you. I'm thinking of you and your well-being.
Alex: I appreciate that, but I assure you that I am just fine with MJ.
Raquel: That's what you think now... but deep down you know that I can't believe you anymore because -- because she tried to trick you to take advantage of you -- she's only interested in your money.
Alex: MJ didn't want to trick me: She loves me.
Raquel: Ay, what do you know about love, Alex? You've always gone out with this girl or that one... MJ is only going to be one more! You're never going to change unless you find-- a... a woman who truly loves you and... you'll feel what you've never felt.
Alex: Raquel, what's up with you? What's up with you?? What are you doing? We're siblings!!
Raquel: No, we're not siblings -- we're not anything! I've always liked you -- what's the harm in that...?
Alex: Raquel! Raquel!! I'll excuse you because you're drunk, but don't let it happen again! And if you say anything about what you think you understood -- if you mention it to anyone at all -- it will go very badly for you and also for your husband, so that you know. Are we clear?
Raquel (after he's left): Ay, he's divine...! Ah, he'll get over the shock soon and he'll succumb. Alex has never turned down a woman and he's not going to do it with me! Tomorrow I'm going to the spa!

You have to love Felipa -- she doesn't pull her punches unless told to. Vic tells her the story that Alex told Vic, but where Vic believed Alex's story because she refuses to see Bruno for what she knows in her heart he is, Felipa sees the truth.
Vic's wishful thinking: Alex said what he did because he was confused from being hit on the head.
Felipa's realism: You mean, he's gone crazy.
Vic's wishful thinking: Alex must've been for a while. Also, nearly dying will mess anyone up. Thank heavens Alex is safe, but boy, was he confused.
Felipa's reality: If he was so confused, how come he accused Bruno and not some random guy?
Vic's wishful thinking: The life-long rivalry between Bruno and Alex made Alex paranoid and that's why he accused Bruno.
Felipa's reality: Then Alex has got to be crazy, because only an idiot would think anyone would believe that story Alex told you.
Vic's wishful thinking: I refuse to listen if you're going to say Bruno did try to kill Alex.
Felipa's reality: Then why did you ask me my opinion? If you want me to only tell you what you want to hear, just say so. By the way, did you talk to MJ? Because maybe she'll tell you something different than Alex. I still think she knows what really happened.
Vic's grudging reality: So you think Alex lied to me?
Felipa's reality: Well, maybe he did it so you wouldn't get upset.
Vic's wishful thinking: No, it's more logical that Alex made it all up during a momentary fit of madness than to think Bruno did something so shocking.

As they say, there is none so blind as she who will not see...

Alex tells MJ about Raquel overhearing Vic and Fernando talking but she won't say anything because she knows he'll kick her and Roberto out onto the street. (Alex, that bump on the head must've messed with your brains: If Vic won't let you kick out Bruno in spite of all the trouble she knows he's caused, you seriously think she's going to let you kick Raquel out??) MJ worries that Raquel will do anything to make trouble because she hates MJ and her family that much. Alex points out that even if Raquel does go around saying Alex and MJ aren't married, there's no proof -- look at how hard they've tried to find proof of what Bruno did, but he covered his tracks too well. MJ is upset that Bruno is getting away with everything and now, thanks to what Alex told Vic, Bruno's sitting pretty and Alex looks like he's crazy. Alex insists that it won't be for long, and the important thing is that Bruno knows he knows the truth and is on his guard. (Ah, what part of letting people think you're crazy is being on your guard? That makes as much sense as Vic's "logic.")

The chat between Oil Slick and Roberto is not just filler. Roberto isn't happy that Raquel is blabbing all over the place. Oil Slick says he agrees but I think that's just so he can get Roberto off this topic and onto the one he wants to discuss, which is Bruno. Bruno had a plan to get even with Alex, but it failed. Now he's asked for their help, so that his next plan won't fail. Oil Slick points out that Bruno's really sharp, and there is a lot of money involved. He thinks it would be worth it to help Bruno, but Roberto clearly isn't sold on the idea at all. Oil Slick is just urging Roberto to go along with him on this when the guy comes up to see if they want to join the game. And not that I think Roberto wouldn't have gone anyway, but I suspect he welcomed the interruption, because he definitely looked like he didn't like where the conversation was going.

MJ tells Vic that she married Alejandro Lombardo, and therefore she is his wife. (Which, even before they slept together, is literally true. But MJ clearly doesn't like splitting hairs like this, and it shows.) Vic begs MJ to swear to her that she (MJ) didn't make all those horrible accusations about Bruno. MJ, already acutely uncomfortable, won't lie like that, so she equivocates, saying that Alex told her it was all stuff he'd imagined. Vic jumps to the conclusion that that is why MJ got mad at Alex and wanted to leave him. MJ can't trust herself to speak, so she just nods. And if Vic weren't so determined to hear only what she wants to hear, she would have noticed that no matter what MJ SAYS, her body language is SCREAMING something entirely different. But nooooo, Vic is the original blind woman. She KNEW Bruno could never do anything so shocking (MJ's wince at this is painful to see; too bad Felipa's not in the room!). Vic admits that Bruno and Alex have never gotten along but to go from that to thinking Bruno would try to kill Alex --! A mother's heart just refuses to accept that. (MJ can understand that because it does make sense a mother wants to think the best of her child even if that child is Bruno.) Now that that's settled, Vic still continues to miss the fact that MJ's only barely keeping it together. Vic sits down next to her and tells MJ it would be better if MJ keeps away from Bruno in order to avoid problems, since Alex was affected by the blow to the head and they don't know how jealousy might make him act. MJ agrees, then leans forward and earnestly clasps Vic's hands, saying, "But I IMPLORE you to also ask that of Bruno" (that he keep away from her). "For my part, I don't plan to get near him."

And again, where is Felipa when you need her?

My dear Connie, bless you and thanks for the captivating recap. Your snarky snarks had me rolling, girl. "Now I've got you, my pretty, and your little dog too." LMAO

Let me get this straight yet again: For years, Vicky saw young Bruno physically and mentally beating on little Alex every freaking week, she actually looked in Bruno's livid face and requested he stop hurting his brother and was only met with Bruno's psychotic facial expression or declarations of spitting hatred... but NO WAY could he be unhinged now. Right. What was with all that overjoyed giggling when MJ told you what you wanted to hear? So long as Bruno is DECLARED innocent, who cares about the truth, eh? Honey, you didn't deserve Alex's forgiveness yesterday.

At least Pimp Daddy E's chest hairs matched that shirt. What is going on with him and Paula, anyway? Why does it look like they're being set up to get together?? *horror*

I am having SO much fun with Casa Lombardo's Club AARP! I've begun looking forward to Felipa, Zeke, Papi, and Chucho coming on the scene, they are so darned entertaining together. Now, because of his reaction to Chucho, we know for sure that Zeke's first reaction to Papi was disgust at his low-classedness. The corn cob up Zeke's butt actually makes him hilarious. The pissing contest between him and Chucho over Master Alex was great. Could be that Felipa is being lined up for some Stairway of Death fights over who gets to court her. LOL!

I LOVE MJ and Alex sticking together and plotting together like the Two Musketeers. But this "crazy" thing sounds like something we're all going to regret.

Yes, I did try to CLAW MY EYES FROM MY OWN HEAD when Raquel all but spread her legs for A-Rod. Even if they had been only step-siblings for real... offering yourself to a guy you grew up in the same house with, probably shared bathrooms with, probably even helped Vicky change baby Alex's diaper a time or two--owffff, there goes my breakfast. When Pobrecita finds out they share blood and remembers this pawing, she just might kill herself.

I adored the chopper scene, because MJ and Alex were so happy, committed to each other, all of the things love should be. They were the picture of a smitten couple, and parting was bittersweet. Loved her dress. She looked really pretty.

Please, don't let family Dr. Hernan fall for Bruno's insidious plot to have Alex committed! Cripes!

Hey, thanks for the assist, Incog. :) G'day, mates.

Everyone’s comments got me really curious about marriage in Mexico (so cool—I love it when y’all pull something from an episode and pick it apart for new knowledge). So I spent a chunk of time browsing the Net-o-sphere and reading everything I could find. Well, one thing became apparent right off—the whole subject is treated so hazily, good luck with finding one definitive answer! That ain’t happening.

As well as standard marriage law, all the cities and states down there have their own separate laws in addition, that may agree or outright contradict the standard law or another city’s. A few places will even perform proxy weddings for a fee (don’t be shocked, four or five US states presently have legalized proxies, one even does double-proxy—the couple need not show up). In all of that jumble, though, two themes kept repeating themselves: Religiously, both parties must make a free and deliberate choice and understand the full reality of getting married. Their decision-making process that led to their wedding, and any defects or flaws in that process, determine validity or invalidity of the wedding. And civilly, there is major emphasis placed on true identity, birth certificates, and things like Oaths of Truthfulness. Even x-rays. Everything has to be above board and not the least bit shady—even changing witnesses at the last minute could render your nuptials invalid.

So this is how it all pans out:

* In the eyes of both Mexico and the Church, MJ and Alex were not civilly or religiously married. Pobrecita de MJ and the sexual joy with her man.

* In the eyes of God and Alejandro Lombardo, MJ and Alex are spiritually married. There was a time before modern bureaucracy when the eyes of God were the only authority. Unfortunately, Alex, you didn’t fall for an eyes of God kind of woman, so you can forget that.

* If the script were different and Bruno had truthfully stood in for Alex, with Alex’s signature on the paperwork, the case would have at least made it to court. But as it stands, Bruno’s deliberate fraud and misrepresentation sticks the nail in that coffin and he owes Mexico some time in the carcel.

* The bottom line: Nando talking to a lawyer in their city produced a 30-day protest rule—remember above, the state outranks everyone else. (I wonder would the writers make something like that up and risk being denounced by the viewers of the real Merida, and MJ's real city, and the state of Yucatan...?) Because of no renouncement, in the eyes of Their State, MJ and Alex are now legally married. Unless Nano is BS’ing.

Mexico, the Church, MJ, no. Dios, Alex, Their State, yes. Que the heck.

Beth: With all you have studied, you probably roll your eyes in utter disbelief at the goings-on in NovelaLand even more than the rest of us.

Thanks for filling in the blanks Incog. I don't have subtitles so I have to replay things over and over and sometimes I just can't figure it out.

Connie thanks for the recap. Your snarky comments were great. I'm glad you were able to keep it together when Raquel slimmed Alex. And unfortunately Paula wasn't all that bright when "sharing" her insights with PD.

Incog - thanks for your dialogue translations. I particularly enjoyed your framing of Vic's delusion and Felipe's reality.

Stephe - I hope you recover from Raquel throwing herself at her brother. Vic's delusion is so off I have to agree with who ever posted yesterday and said she'll have to be punished. As you noted, Bruno has been pulling lesser versions of this stuff for decades but murder is too far. Seriously. Vic is the one who needs to be committed.

Also loved your club AARP at the casa. Thanks for researching the validity of proxy weddings too.

You know that Paula is not the sharpest crayon in the box. But she's young and learning.

Cute recap, thanks! I skip all the conversations with Filipa and Victoria now, they are never important, just Victoria with a lot of wrong theories. I like the tiny guy from the countryside.

You're all good, Connie. I have no problems with your recaps. You always tell me more than I picked up! :)

Thanks Stephe. It really is kind of fun and a learning experience at the same time.

It was kind of fun, Karen. And strange. I didn't expect the legalities to be so willy-nilly, you know?

Don't they also use that proxy thing for people in the military? Like, if the husband-to-be is stationed in Korea and she's here in the States and they want to go ahead and get married? Seems like I saw that on the news once or something.

Yes, according to the stuff I read. In fact, the majority of it is for that specific purpose.

I'm really worried about Paula and this chummy-ness she's got going on with Pimp Daddy. She's a valuable resource when it comes to sticking it to Bruno, and I don't want to lose that...

Come on Stephe! How can you not be attracted to that hunk of a man? He, he 8(:-P

Connie, thanks for the great recap. You had me at "Oh, wait, that's the look he always has." LOL
CubsFan

LOL! (Connie) Yum-nummy, how anyone live without sleazy, huh? ;)

Well, I suppose I'd best go grab coffee, based on that last comment. Gah.

One more time.

LOL, Connie! Yum-nummy. How can anyone live without sleazy, huh?

Ack! Stephe you'd need something strong than coffee!

stronger not strong

Thanks Connie, and Incog.

So, we are going to have an "Alex is crazy" story.

I thought in the beginning that Victoria really loved Alex, may more that either Bruno, or Rachel. It seemed that deep down she knew that Antonio had made the right choice.

I also thought it would be interesting to see an older woman younger man story.

Well so much for my thinking. I forget that I TN land we are not supposed to think. :)

Connie: “There is just something about a man in a black and white geometric print shirt, oh-so-sexy red pants and his shirt open revealing bulging pecs (or in his case, lack thereof..) At least he's not in his underoos.” How do you manage to be so clever and funny at 12AM or so...fabulous recap, many, many funny lines.

Incog: “As they say, there is none so blind as she who will not see...” YES, YES, YES. As all mothers, friends and teachers on this blog have said, Vicky is real, we’ve all met her. As I said yesterday, the TN gods will NOT “punish” her...and she is the facilitator and enabler of everything bad that is happening in Casa Lombardo now and in the future. Incog, on another note, thanks for your help with the clarifications...you are wonderful.

Stephe, you need to volunteer you research abilities to WL on his next novela...you could be right there on set “advising” him!

Super bad sound again last night... our flip videos of our grandsons have better audio.. home made you tube videos have better audio. VERY unprofessional.

Thanks Sandy in TN. I get kind of bleary at that time of night but I wanted to get it posted for everybody.

So was I the only one who caught this? When Paula & MJ are walking up the front stairs to the mansion (after Alex is whisked off to work by the chopper, it really is the only way to travel..) Paula and MJ are discussing how they have to find something on Bruno. He has covered his tracks well but there has to be something that was forgotten. MJ says that she doesn't like that Alex is now coming off as crazy and if Bruno tries anything else against she'll spill the beans! She doesn't care if she takes the brunt of the aftermath! Paula says that she's been hanging out with PD, he's nice enough but she wants to see what she can get out of him. MJ says they need to think of all the times Bruno came to their apartment, or when they went out together. Then she remembers the engagement ring! Maybe they could find the jeweler that sold it to him (although Paula reminds her that it wasn't anything really spectacular or designer so it might be difficult to trace but they could try)....enter Vicky to chat with MJ.

I only bring this up because I don't think we are giving Paula enough credit here. Yes she is VERY much interested in maintaining this new lifestyle but I believe its impart because she thinks Alex really cares for her sister and she would hate to see her sister throw away a chance at real happiness because of her insecurities....

Just my 2 cents :)

I didn't get to read everything yet but I am so hoping I will find the answer to this question: WHY did Alex have MJ tell that lie!? Anvils always follow when people tell lies that hurt others. And this one (the lie) certainly hurt MJ!

There was a conversation as the two of them were walking up the stairs but I couldn't hear what they were saying.

Connie, thanks for the laughs this morning. You have descriptions of Pimp Daddy and his hip wardrobe down perfectly. Where IS this story line going with him and Paula?

I missed so much of last night's episode because of the terrible sound almost all the way through--very few scenes didn't have some kind of overpowering background noise. Sure hope they fix that. So, thanks Connie and Incog for filling in large voids for me that I simply couldn't understand or even really hear.

Stephe, thanks for all the research on marriage laws and proxy possibilities in Mexico. I swear I'm as confused as ever even with these clarifications; how complicated they are! We'll just have to see. I'm betting a lot of the plot hinges on are they or aren't they?

The Zeke, Filipa, Chucho, and Pedro brigade has some real potential and I'm enjoying the heck out of them.

Thanks for the Recap Connie. Great assist and comments Incog. Lots of detail. I like that. I don't know if you guys noticed, but it seem like Erik was wearing a red clip on tie. I do agree that the whole thing looked awful.

Maybe we are seeing a possible 3 way contest for Felipa's hand. We have Ezequiel vs Pedro vs Chuchu. Ezequiel is sure coming across as mean and jealous here. I previously thought he was one of the saner and level headed people there. I have revised my thoughts.

many years ago, in Happy days, the Fonz stood in proxy For Ritchie at his wedding. I know it was just a sitcom. But just saying...

Any of you who have not seen mothers in denial at one time or another raise your hand. If all mothers were not in denial then there would be a lot of disowned children in the world today. The word unconditional love was made for them.

Raquel must understand that she cannot hook up with her brother. Step sibling or half sibling. since she is so conscious about the gossip and society, maybe someone should remind her that it will never be approved. Though I would not kick her out of my bed.

I too would use a chopper to go to work. Why waste an hour or two sitting in traffic all pissed off? I'm surprised he does not have a corporate jet to use to travel long distances. They have to fly commercial for that. Do you think he has a yacht too?

Kat, I might have to respectfully disagree with the briefcase issue. I have a black leather breifcase by coach and it does not match my dark brown wallet. I do have various pairs of black, brown, burgundy dress shoes But I never think about matching them with my briefcase. i might be a big, tough guys, but I also like looking good and I consult GQ magazine. I mean some guys might do it like the ladies do with their purses, but I'm not going that far.

I though Ulises was a rich dude. What is he doing travelling all over the place if he is broke? And why do Roberto, Raquel,Maura and Bruno hang out with him if he's broke? well, Roberto and Ulises may be butt buddies but the others?

Connie, Incog, Stephe and LevyFan-
Thanks to all for a fabulous recap, and the extra research! There seem to be valid reasons for why MJ, Alex and all would be confused about the legality of their marriage.
Loved seeing how united MJ and Alex are now. Things between them have gone from hot and turbulent, to trusting and loving. It can't last long, but it's nice to see. Vicky is blind if she couldn't see that MJ was barely keeping it together telling her what she wanted to hear (meaning lying). That woman is a fool, and Nando continues to do himself no favors. I like that MJ is now ready to fight for "her man". :)

-Vivi in DC

As far as i'm concerned, Alex and Maria Jose can stay married. They love each other anyway. Why get divorced to remarry. Makes no sense. I can understand trying to get to the bottom of the identity issue to implicate Bruno in the murder attempt.

It would be a much bigger mess if Maria Jose married Bruno and Bruno said the was running the Lombardi family and Company. Then Alex would have to try to rescue Maria Jose, a damsel in distress who is married to his brother that she does not love anymore. That would be some major complication. Almost like Juna Reyes and Sofia Elizondo when she was married to Fernando Escandon from Fels.

I noticed the red tie. That made the whole outfit don't you think?

I can't believe the audio sound quality of this novela. In the scene with Alex and MJ in the restaurant i could barely hear them over the noise.

Then in the next scene with paule and Pimp daddy they were outside i had to turn down my volume on my remote.

Did they the sound people just graduated from school or are they related to someone.

Alex should have thought of an different plan then lost of memory. Already Bruno is plotting to get him locked up. He also said he's not capable of running the company in current mental capacity.

Hernan look at Bruno with disgust and suspicions when Bruno was making these statements.

Where does Fernando think he has the right to look for a lawyer to discuss Alex's marriage with MJ. GET A NEW FRIEND ALEX. Drop this this dope to the curb.

Am i the only one who wants to slap the stupid out of Victoria?

Raquel that was really gross and i'm beginning to think she's an alcoholic. She's always drinking.

Thank God we have Felipa and now Chucho.

Ibarramedia- They need to get re-married so that we in viewerville can see them stand up together at the altar in a church looking pretty and happy, with a huge reception afterwards. :) But we know that won't happen until the gran final (although that doesn't mean we won't see them marry each other or other people before that point). Ah! I love telenovelas!

I know it hurt like hell for MjJ to lie like that to Vicki. When you are dealing with someone who saw the abuse Bruno used to dish out Alex when they we're young.

Now doesn't want to accept that he can plat an attempt at murder. Exactly what could she have said to Vicki. I agree with whoever said Vicki needs to be commited. I said it myself the other day. Her and Bruno locked up next to each other.

Her long time companion and friend Felipa tells her the truth but she still won't accept it, and certainly doesn't want to listen to it.

I think she's narcisitic all she wants to hear is how great a mother she is. While that house is boiling over with hate, resentment, frustration and incestous desire for an half sibiling.

Connie - thank you for your great recap and the snark. You rock.

Eric needs a wardrobe makeover. If his shirt was ignited, it wouldn't burn---it would melt. (polyester)

Bruno's acid green shirt almost matched his nuclear waste glow-in-the-dark undies from the previous episode. I wonder if he has day-of-the-week briefs, too.

I cannot fathom the background noise on this 'novela, making most of the dialog inaudible. I wonder if this was discussed on Mexican forums while it was broadcast down there?

I loved sending hubby off to work in the helicopter. Nice. Especially on top of his kick-ass SUV.

Incog - thanks for filling in with the conversations.

We're going out of town and I'm covered up with mandados. Must run..... See y'all Sunday night or Monday.

LevyFan wrote: Then she remembers the engagement ring! Maybe they could find the jeweler that sold it to him

Thanks for posting about that, LevyFan! I did hear it when the episode aired, but the whole "Alex is crazy" thing, combined with the Raquel come-on and Vic's blindness (and at least we know where Alex gets his relatively mild case of selective blindness... Thank heavens they're not blood relations or his would be more than selective...!) ended up being more than enough for me last night.

I only bring this up because I don't think we are giving Paula enough credit here. Yes she is VERY much interested in maintaining this new lifestyle but I believe its impart because she thinks Alex really cares for her sister and she would hate to see her sister throw away a chance at real happiness because of her insecurities....

Paula's a sharp little cookie and way more aware of what's going on than people give her credit for being. Like Felipa and even Roberto, because she gets more of an all-around view from the outside, I think it's easier for her to have a better grasp of the so-called "big picture" --if she wants it-- than someone who is more heavily invested in a particular agenda. (The same could be said for Maura and even Raquel, but they are letting their obsessions blind them the same way Vic is letting hers keep her from admitting that Bruno is a major problem.) Roberto and Paula have another thing in common as well: They're both basically there only because of a connection via marriage in which they are largely if not entirely dependent upon Alex's generosity and good will. The difference between them is that where Roberto has, so far, allowed himself to be marginalized by his wife and her family (so that now he has realized his only hope for not having to support himself is to put up with Raquel and stay on Alex's good side, which I think is why he rarely tries to put his foot down with Raquel), Paula is very much the proactive type. And while I'm not suggesting Paula and Roberto get together as a couple, I can definitely see how she could have a good influence on Roberto, and also how they could make a good team, provided Roberto manages to grow back a little of his spine.

I found it repulsive how Raquel wanted to kiss Alex. She is married. What did she expect Alex to do?

Nathalie, please contact me privately at caray@mappamundi.com - I have something to say but your blog keeps kicking me off when I try to "comment" and you don't have a contact link... thanks.

Can someone tell me when they have scenes in a restaurant, for instance, or walking on a busy street, the people around them really seem not to notice. Do they, perhaps film the stars alone and then secretly film a crowded restaurant or street scene separately and then somehow get it together?? Am I off the wall thinking such a crazy thing?
Could that possibly make it difficult to regulate the sound?
But I guess that is not being skilled enough. But I always wondered.

PS - Incog, did you sleep at all last night?? I'm enjoying your comments. In fact, everyone's.

Great recap, Connie...

Anonymous 2:38 said: Do they, perhaps film the stars alone and then secretly film a crowded restaurant or street scene separately and then somehow get it together??

I don't think that's likely -- the people on the street, in the restaurants, and in other "public" scenes are probably extras (and/or members of the crew not actively working at the moment). Certainly, they're not the problem with the audio, since it also has significant problems on at least some of the indoor scenes that are definitely filmed on a set (Alex's bedroom, for instance). No, the problem is that for some reason their audio people seem to be almost completely incapable of mic'ing this properly so that the voices can be heard and ambient sounds are in the background. At a GUESS I'd say that they can't have or don't want a lot of the actors wearing body microphones (the battery pack they have to wear can be hard to disguise, particularly when they are wearing form-fitting clothing) and so are doing a lot of the scenes with nothing but boom mics and/or mics placed in/on furniture instead. That would certainly explain why exterior noises like the motorcycle in the café scene with Paula and Mr Tacky Dresser are louder than the conversation, and why some of the more intimate interior scenes sound noisy, since if the mics are strategically placed in various pieces of the set instead of on the actors, they would have to turn them up to catch the more softly-spoken dialog.

Incog

The people in the restaurant background are all extras. In fact, several of the casts relatives (incl. Jacky Bracamontes' brother, sister appear in some scenes). This isn't a plot spoiler but interesting production info I read in Mexican papers online, as Sortilegio continued airing in Mexico, its popularity kept growing so much it became difficult to control the crowds who showed up at the filming of outdoor scenes.

Also, the producer Carla Estrada wanted to involve the fans so much, she often used twitter to invite them to watch outdoor filming and through various fanclubs would select fans to watch studio filming.

The only other show that I can remember having this much sound problems was in FELS when they would stop by the peeing fountain. That stupid thing would drown out what the actors were saying. Sounded like a cow peeing on a flat rock.

Duuuuuude...Pimp Daddy's outfit was hot, hot, hot! A hot mess, that is. I don't think he has romantic feelings for Paula. Maybe he sees her as the daugter he never had because women run from him in fear at the sight of his blindingly bad outfits. Please, just let me tell myself whatever I need to to get through the day. Just like Vicky! Her beanie must be industrial-strength!

Gracias por el recap :)

Are they filming this in a foundry, I could hardly hear a word between Alex & MJ. And then the motocicleta whith Paula & Erick, what gives, they can't cut & re-tape?

I guess Alex got Artemio's chopper, he didn't need it anymore.

LevyFan,

I, like many others, am having trouble with the sound and missed a lot of the Paula/MJ conversation on the ring and PD. I have had mixed feelings on Paula, she is annoying, but I love the way she stands up to Bruno. She is really in his face the way WE WOULD BE IF WE WERE THERE (ha, hope so anyway!) Really glad she will be playing detective with MJ, she'll get the job done. I know you probably agree with me, her motives aren't as important as her results!

Thanks for your clarifying post!

I also have problems with the sound sometimes but I replay the scenes until i can get it.

Youtube is good too for reviewing but its too tempting to go ahead.

ITA with you though, Paula, while looking out for her sister really wants to keep living it up en lan mansion Lombardo (I don't blame her). I'm hoping she can win over Roberto & Pimp Daddy E and get them on Team MJ & Alex!

Has anyone else noticed the strange location of the Lombardo mansion in an industrial section or high rise section of "Merida". If the production crew built the house facade on some lot somewhere, they should have the good sense not to have so many long shots of the house and the surrounding commercial properties. Or, maybe years ago, the Lombardos got a really good deal on the acreage, heavens knows they needed a lot of land for the moat and all. Perhaps the city has grown around them. Was it because of the need of a helipad? Honestly, with their money, I'd move to a leafy suburb. Just sayin.....

Sandy in TN

Just a question on the mics. Don't they put those things high above peoples heads? That's how i understood it to be. I don't know about putting it on furniture and such. I agree with everyone that it is annoying.

I would like to see Raquel decide to be an executive at Lombardi. She would be interesting running a department.

I have a feeling the buildings we see around the mansion are paintings. Fake buildings. It obviously was not around when the mansion doubled as the Castle in Alborada. And rightly so. Since it was a period piece.

By the way, you can really tell that it is not real brick that is used in the building. Look closely and you will see what I mean.

Ibarramedia

I don't know if you guys realized that Alex hired Chucho for 2 reasons.

1) To keep him occupied with work so hie does not worry about money and to keep him out of trouble. The least he could do for him saving his life.

2) Most importantly, to be his extra eyes and ears on what is going on around the house. His personal informant and spy. There is no reason for Chucho to be loyal to anyone but Alex.

Ibarramedia

Sandy in TN: I noticed the house location last night too. By the way, there is no zoning in Mexico (at least the Mexico I know) and that is the reason you find mansions surrounded by hovels and houses next door to commercial property.

Wierd...I tried to comment, and it didn't work...So double apology to all if I a) leave the same message twice or b) say something already said because I only skimmed today's comments.

Someone asked about why Alex asked MJ to lie to Victoria, which is a decision I actually thought reasonable. He's actually being loving and protective so everyone will stop hating on MJ. Everyone meaning those as retarded as Victoria who for God knows what reason thinks Bruno is being picked on. I'm sure even a passivist wanted to come slap her for being so reluctant to see Bruno's flaws. Damn it's annoying.

As for Raquel's behavior, I'm surprised I didn't throw up. What does she think this is--the Brady Bunch?

--Mrs. Levy

Thanks Connie, I enjoyed your recap as well as anon's recap of your recap. It would be great if he/she would choose a seperate day to recap.

I know I give Vicky lots of hell as a viewer because she's really pissing me off. And it's just getting worse. However as a mother, I do identify with some of what she's done--the hold that the look in your child's eyes has on a mom is VERY powerful and hard to fight.

I said some of what she's done. This "eager" sacrificing of Alex for the sake of Bruno being absolved is the same crap she pulled during every incident in their youth. I'll just comfort Alejandro and send him to his room (the asylum), show Bruno I understand, then sit back and watch things calm down in the house. Yes, that's the plan. IMO if she really loved them both as much as she claimed, she would still be more straddling the fence and trying to figure out which guy is truly at fault. She shouldn't trust either of them just yet.

Yes, she gave birth to Bruno, but when Alex was presumed dead she about had a stroke worthy of a birth mother and "loved" him like blood. Just where did all of that go??

Ughhh... motherhood ain't for the squeamish, that's for sure.

Mrs. levy i'm not an passivist but i certainly want to smack the crap out of Vicki everytime she opens her mouth defend her bad seed. Everything that's happening now is an result of her belated shame for having an affair with an married man while she was married too. To top it off they were all good friends.

doris said: Eric needs a wardrobe makeover. If his shirt was ignited, it wouldn't burn---it would melt. (polyester) LMAO

LevyFan, I was pretty stoked to be reminded about MJ's engagement ring. I hadn't thought about that thing since she took it off, except to mention that back in the beginning, Al should have checked it out and questioned his own taste (Does this look like something I would have bought for her?)

I'm really pleased at how Paula is no longer just about the Lombardo trappings of wealth. They're still important to her, all right, but she seems to have set that aside for more noble pursuits--getting into school, seeing MJ truly happy with Alex, sticking it to Bruno anytime she can and using Pimp Daddy to bring him down.

Connie--the peeing fountain! LOLOL I remember.

I wonder how Raquel will react tonight to her vomitous actions once that liquor wears off. Will she run to the toilet and hurl in horror, or be even more turned on and redouble her efforts? Be afraid. Be very afraid. I for one will be sitting on the sofa with both an air sickness bag and an oxygen mask ready to slide over my face, like on a plane.

Let me add I want to smack another expression on dopey Fernando face too. Now I feel so much better.

Yes! Fernando is definetely on my hit list as well! I don't mind the age-difference factor, I think it's creepy how he gets all excited everytime Victoria touches him or says something. Besides that, he's a really lame friend, as everyone else mentioned. I don't know why Alex confides in him. Fernando is completely mindless and idiotic, acting like Alex lets his emotions get in the way when really it's he who lets his emotions in the way.

LOL to whoever said the thing about observing Raquel tonight!

Can't wait to read the next recap! :-)

Mrs. Levy

Hi. I'm late to the party. Connie ~~Thanks for the great recap. Love your style and sense of humor. Thanks for the giggles. P.S. I'm happy that sweet Chucho has landed in the lap of luxury thanks to Al, but what about Chencho [??he nephew. Is he still out in the boondocks scratching out a living?

Thanks Connie, it was tough to hear what they were saying!

So right, Stephe. Victoria was making it easy and comfortable for herself raising those children. She didn't want to make the tough decisions and find out the truth about what was going on. She wanted them to 'like' her and didn't call it for what it was. She was more concerned with looking like a good mother than actually being one...

Ibarramedia and Sandy in TN, in case you're interested the ESMAS/Sortilegio site has a series of pix (one of its fotogalerias)of the construction of the Lombardo mansion. The link is http://www2.esmas.com/entretenimiento/telenovelas/sortilegio/fotos/construccion-casa-sortilegio/13138

I'm fairly new here so am not sure if I can post links here, so if not allowed, I apologize in advance and ask a moderator to eliminate the link.
CubsFan

Sorry, Stephe; missed your comment. I know exactly what you mean--where did all the love for Alejandro go?! Victoria is officially one of the stupidest people in the show. Yeah, I guess mothers trust their children more than others, but what happened to all that "I treated you all equally" crap and the "i'm sorry I betrayed you and your mother, Alex." Guess now that her secret is out, it's okay to play favorites.

--Mrs. Levy

Vicki has said she has no favorites, but everyone has seen how she favors Bruno even over his twin Raquel. While like Stephe mentioned when she thought Alex had died she nearly had an stroke. It would have been business as usual with her after awhile. She would not even have question Bruno marrying MJ like he had planned either. If she have had given Bruno some tough love maybe he could have turn out better.

Yeah seriously, did Victoria not once think that Bruno should've been disciplined...I mean while he was still young and beating the hell out of Alex...Better question, why was she so confused as to why Antonio wanted to leave all the inheritance to Alex? I mean Bruno obviously didn't deserve it. That mujer is so freakin' in denial. She needs to wake up and smell the café.

--Mrs. Levy

LOL just a note. I feel really dumb for refering back to people's comments by saying "someone said." I blog from my phone and so it never occured to be that I could look to the side and see who made what comment. Ohhhhh....lol sorry for my dumb moment, and in the future, I will be sure to address whoever I'm responding to.

By the way, I know it's cheesy, but I love being addressed as Mrs. Levy. Love to humor myself and loved to be humored, so thanks to the anonymous who plays along with the name. ;)

Mrs. Levy

I fondly remember that vicious look on Alex's face, during the fight, just before he and Bruno tumbled down the Stairway of Death. I can kick your arse any day of the week now, as you can see. So come on, hit me again. I'm ready for you. Bwahahahaha.

I don't know when the final showdown between Bruno and Al will be, but it will surely have me breathless and on the edge of my seat when that time comes. Every ounce of savagery Bruno possesses will be unleashed if it is a physical fight. Whoa.

(Let me give David Zapeda credit. The poor naked man had to have gotten crazy floor burns from those wooden stairs, yet he had the presence of mind to cover the back of Levy's head with his hand as they tumbled, to hopefully keep Levy's skull from getting cracked open. What a guy! :)

Each novela seems to have a PSA. Perhaps Sortilegio's is: If you don't use birth control while having an affair with your husband's best friend, you could end up with a pair of demonic twins like Bruno and Raquel. Alex, obviously as well, never saw a PSA for birth control since he's been asking MJ those embarrassing questions about her periods.

Mrs. Levy, you are in the right place for humor. :)

Yes, phones can be a challenge to work when it comes to blogging! Don't worry yourself about it. I'm sure everyone understands and catches on to what you mean.

Haha good one Stephe about Bruno "protecting" Alex's head...

And anonymous, I totally agree! How embarassing is it to be asked about your period all the time. I mean talk about giving your mujer her space.

Damn guys, I feel like I have no life. I'm like sitting here waiting for someone to comment on caray. Pretty entertaining time pass though.

Mrs. Levy

Thanks for the warm welcome Stephe. I've actually been reading Caray since Cuidado Con el Angel, but just decided to start commenting on Sortilegio. I took Spanish 4 years in high school, and i'm trying my best to hold onto it by watching William Levy. LOL how much easier could he make it for me.

Mrs. Levy

Woman, you'd better get in there and turn that television on. It's almost 9 o'clock! Time to get Levy-tized. :)

Haha I'm in California. I still got 3 hours until the show. Plus, I've seen it on youtube already. :-)

Mrs. Levy

Mrs. Levy,

In my dreams too.

I daydreamed about WL while working on leafs today, never mind how old I am.

I only saw him in Pasion... He was nice to look at, but I never thought he could do what he has done in Sortilegio. Such a transformation!

dpd

I actually haven't seen Pasion, but I see a lot of improvement in WL's acting since Cuidado. Maybe he just got a smarter, sexier charater than Juan Miguel, who I of course thought was hot but dumb at the same time. Yeah, the more I see him, the more obsessive I become. LOL my Spanish teacher thought I was a psycho because I mentioned him so much...Her favorite comment from me: he's only 11 years older than me! LOL
