Sortilegio 1/29/10 Kidnapped Or Rescued: It Just Depends On Your Point of View

Resumen del capítulo 82

First let's do the review: Katia heads off to the teens 'n tween's party at Maura's, but not before slamming big bro' Fernando's taste in elderly or, rather, aging women. Tío Abuelo Emiliano takes this opportunity to confirm that Nando is indeed dating his boss's mother (now a granny, BTW). Fer is a bit embarrassed that Tío E. should mention it, but his tío sanctions it, saying true love is blind to the age differences in people and yada, yada. Fer now happily invites the old dude to join him and Victoria Lombardo on their trek through Chichén Itzá as part of his birthday celebration.

Meanwhile, at Maura's Hello-there Pink Kitty kiddie pad of premeditated prostitution, various unsuspecting priviledged youth are enjoying the free booze 'n eats. Crotchya is now high on Spanish Fly which fake Mario Aguirre, alias Matteo, alias "El Güero" [Blonde-boy/White Boy]--now all platinum and curls-- has been slipping her in her drinks. Mau checks off another success on her list of schemes as she watches him walk the Crotchya into a back bedroom to be seduced/date-raped (take your pick) and Bruno's image fades from what remains of the lollipop-licking little lush's conscious.

Speaking of lushes, the next day Roberto and Raquel finalize their quickie, no-contest divorce. The only problem is custody of Victoriacita. Raqhell refuses to give her to him. The judge says Bobo has no parental rights as he's not the biological father. Bobo, fearful that his bro-mance with the AWOL Ulises will come out, refuses to officially contest Raqhell's custody.

In Toluca's back forty at Mengele Manor, "Pau-li-esther" [kudos, Susanlynn] finds Mary Jo/Sandra reading on the patio and invites her along for a helicopter trip to a shoot with "Nicolas" and her. MJ/S refuses because she's still angry at Nico for standing her up the other night. "He didn't even have the courtesy to let me know he wasn't going to be able to make it!" Pau apologizes and explains it must have been because they were called away to a very ill person's bedside at the last minute and that they didn't get back till late the night before. This softens MJ/S up a bit. She's even sympathetic when Pau mentions the person died and they went to the funeral after.

Pau then butters MJ up by mentioning that ever since Nicolas met her he can't stop talking about her. Flattered, MJ/S gives in and agrees to go with the two of them but first wants to tell her mother she's leaving. Pau talks her out of that wrong-headed notion, saying she knows the woman doesn't like her and Nico that much. Since it will only be a couple of hours, MJ/S can just go and explain when she gets back that they went on a walk together; no harm, no foul, no argument. MJ/S agrees that's better and the two of them race off to meet up with Nicolas.

Back at the rental house, Alex is giving Arturo instructions on paying the landlord and getting their stuff back to Mérida when Pau shows up with MJ. Pau mentions that MJ/S was angry at being stood up until Pau had explained what happened to them. Alex is confused and looks over at Arturo who swears he gave the message to her mother. Obviously, Mama didn't mention it to "Sandra". Nicolas's smile wins out and she takes off with him and "Esther" in the 'copter.
Back in mah-h-h-vellous Mérida, Fer and Emiliano are about to leave to pick up Vicki for their trip to Chichén Itzá. (Hubby and I note the vanilla couches in this 30-something male's living room and shake our heads listing various reasons his couches aren't done up in dark, seductive leather like any self-respecting horny male would generally have. 'Nuff said.) T.E. wonders if Katia might change her mind and want to go with them, but Fer says he doubts it. She got back late and when he went to discuss it with her she had locked the door to her room. T.E. offers to talk to her about it, but Fer says not to waste his time. "The more one scolds the more she rebels." He's hardpressed to know what to do with her at times.

After Fer and his Tío leave, Katia comes out of her room and walks downstairs. Lisett rings her on the phone. Lis asks why she hasn't come to visit. She's feeling lonely and left out. Katia tells her not to start since she's got a hangover from the party Mau had the night before. Lis feels even more left out than ever and whimpers a bit as she explains how lonely and scared she is that the doctor may come in to say that the transplant has failed. Lis is facing death while they just party on. Crotchya rolls her eyes, bored, and heartlessly refuses to sympathize with Lis. "--Life goes on. Don't blame me because you got sick!" As Dr. Hernan walks in and silently overhears the one-sided conversation, Lis answers back that she guesses she was wrong to think that Katia might care to share a bit of her precious time by keeping her company. Click! Hernan can't help but take pity on Lis. (Viewerville blows the old dude a kiss.)

Meanwhile, we are beamed back to Mengele Manor as Elena realizes MJ/S is gone and the gardener tells her that she left only twenty minutes before with Pau-li-esther.

At the Lombardo compound, Bobo returns from the divorce hearing with bad news. He tells Vicki he let Raqhell keep custody of the baby for fear of the gossip his aforementioned bro-mance with Uli would cause. She sympathizes and says she'll speak to Raqui about it ASAP. He says he's only there to pick up his things before moving into his new apartment. He asks for permission to visit the baby from time to time because he's worried that Raqhell will refuse him. Vicki says of course. Felipa adds that the state Raqhell's in all the time she'd hardly even notice. Once Bobo leaves, Vicki starts for the chalet to give Raqui a piece of her mind. Talk turns to Fernando's visit that lasted from 8-11 PM. They snicker over the significance and Felipa promises that mum's the word.

Across the way at the chalet, Vicki comes a callin'. She lets Raqhell have it straight betweeen the eyes. Vicki says she heard about the custody hearing but doubts rocky Raqui, drunk as a skunk 110% of the time, would be able to care for that little baby. In fact, she's certain Raqui did it just to irritate and frustrate Roberto. Raqhell replies, "Better a drunk than in the hands of a sexual pervert." Vicki seems to realize that neither is optimum and says she'll never let Raqui touch little Victoria as long as she's still drinking. In fact she's tired of feeling pity for her and hoping she'll eventually mend her ways. Raqui can only guffaw at the baby's name. "Victoria?" Vicki sneers back that Roberto named her that and she'd still be nameless if they'd waited on her to give the baby a name. Raqhell teeters a bit and then laughs. "Call her what you want. I could give a damn. Keep her if you want. Consider it a gift!" She stumbles away to swill down the rest of the glassful. Vicki (along with Viewerville) sighs a sigh of relief at that one. (Hmmm. This might solve the problem of Fer having a chance at fatherdom. --Echhh!)

Meanwhile, Fer and his tío arrive at the manse. Emiliano is amazed at the wealth of the estate. Fer states that "hard work and brilliant negotiating skills earned them this fortune." Vicki and Felipa arrive. There are introductions all around. They head off for the tourist ruins.

At the same time somewhere in the air over Mexico, Mary Jo is becoming anxious at being gone too long and not having told her mother so that she won't worry about her. Alex and Pau try to stall for time. He pretends his cell won't work in that area and guilts her into trusting him a little while longer, then promises to take her back as soon as the picture shoot is over. He also promises to explain things to her mother for her. This calms MJ/S down a bit finally. She's antsy but she gives in.

Back in the boonies of the Tolucan outback Bruno is now complaining to Elena about letting MJ go off with that photographer and his sister. Elena says they'd never been gone so long before and didn't think it would matter. Anyway, she didn't "let" her daughter do anything. The girl didn't tell her. "She pretty much does what she has a mind to anyway." Bruno asks for a physical description of the brother and sister and smacks the wall when he realizes it fits Alex and Paula's description to a T. He tells Elena his suspicions. She tells them they rented a house nearby. He races off to the place to verify what he suspects.

At Chichén Itzá, it seems Fer and Company have the entire site to themselves. (Note: There's not another living soul around in a place that is always teeming with people.) We get a lecture on mesoamerican history and the area, as well as the ritualistic games and the architectural design and placement of the stones that always manage to catch the light of the biennial solstice. [http://www.mesoweb.com/chichen/features/tour/23.html] FF>>

Back in Toluca once more we see Bruno racing over to speak to the caretaker of the rental house Alex and Pau had occupied till that morning. He gets a physical description and knows for certain he just got duped by Alex.

Alex now has the helicopter land among some romantic ruins (a national park I think). MJ/S races ahead and asks nervously what story he planned to tell her. He follows with Paula and begins: "I met a rather humble man a while ago. He had two daughters. One was named Paula and the other Mary Jo." MJ/S stops in her tracks and listens intently. She flashes back to the time she walked in on Jorrible Jorge griping at Elena about some guy " not taking very long to realizethe girl is not Mary Jo" and her asking them who Mary Jo was. Alex continues: "A bit after the man told me he had another daughter also, but that his wife left him and took her along with her. That other daughter was Mary Jo's twin." MJ/S stops to process and frowns deeply as Viewerville teleports back to C.I. and a lecture about the ritualistic antecedent soccer fields. [http://chichenitza.com/listingview.php?listingID=9&name=Great+Ball+Court].

T.E. compliments Fer's choice in girlfriends. This embarrasses Vicki, but Emiliano smoothes right over it and says many men would give their all to have a wise, cultured and lovely girlfriend like her; they continue the tour arm in arm, all smiles. [Blech.] FF>>

Meanwhile, back at the other ruins, MJ/S continues processing the tale "Nicolas" is telling her. Instead of taking it in stride, she decides to scream and race through the place like a ninny. She is crying and yelling because she doesn't understand. Pau frantically tells her to trust them. MJ/S screams back that she wants to leave. She won't listen to this story. Alex tries reasoning with her. He says he understands the anxiety she must be feeling, but it's only because down deep she senses the story is true. MJ stops and stares at them like a scared, trapped little animal. Alex tells her she's one of the twins. She's Mary Jo. She refuses to believe him. "NO!" He continues. "--We have a son and you are my wife." In a one-hanky scene, she covers up her ears and refuses to listen to any more of it. She races away again and screams for help, then falls to the ground and cries. Alex trails after her and cries at her side.

Back at Mengele Manor, Jorrible Jorge scolds Elena for letting MJ out of her sight. "You were to take care of her. That's all I asked you to do, damn it!" She reminds him that it was his idea that she have a few friends and adds that MJ took off without letting her know. (What is it with the plaster of Paris rooster and chicken in country kitchens, anyway? Why are these things always presumed to add that touch of rustic authenticity? --I guess they are too damned big to be just your average salt and pepper shakers, though, huh.)

Jorge wonders if those two friends were possibly Alex Lombardo and her sister. Elena says that is what Bruno had thought. She has no idea. Just then Bruno races back in to tell them his suspicions were right and it was Alex and her daughter, Paula. They kidnapped her for sure! (That's "rescued", Bruno. R-E-S-C-U-E-D.) Jorge needs to be certain. Bruno calls Maura and tells her he needs her to investigate whether MJ has returned back home at the Lombardo compound. (Man, what Viewerville wouldn't give for a lillypond like Mau's.) Mau asks why and then how. He snaps at her to just do it and he'll explain later.

Jorge, meanwhile, asks Elena if she knows whether MJ took her pills but Elena has no clue. He yells at her to go find out. Bruno asks him what happens if she stops taking them. Jorge says the effect will wear off; she'll become irritable and unbalanced [descompensarse] and then she'll begin to recover her memory little by little. Bruno admits that will mean a trainwreck for their plans.

Elena returns and says the bottle is gone. Jorge wonders if it means Mary Jo was thinking to leave and not return.

We continue touring C.I. with Fer and Company (FF>>) while MJ continues screaming and yelling in the helicopter now that she just wants to go home. The pilot gets antsy. Alex winks and tells him she's just nervous. "You know where to take us now....Toluca." This buys them a little peace and quiet.

At the hospital back in Mérida, Hernan lends a sympathetic ear to lonely Lis as she explains how she's been kicked to the curb by everyone, including her big sis. When Maura does visit it's only for a minute or two. Hernan tells her he's got a place they'll visit together soon. She's dying to get out of that hospital room and says that's great.

In the C.I. ruins again, Fer and Co. have a late lunch. Emiliano is thrilled with the Yucatan. They join him in a toast to the birthday boy. He gets on a first name basis with Vicki. Finally he asks her and Fer if they know someone named "Damian Alebeniz." He explains about his old, sick friend, Porfirio and his wish to make his granddaughter, Sandra, his sole benefactor --but not until she marries. The guy who she's supposedly engaged to is this Damian and Porfi wants more information about him. Fer tells Vicki it's time to face up and 'fess up, painful as it might be. She does. "--Damian is my son's second name. He goes by Bruno Alebeniz or Bruno Lombardo." Emiliano wonders if this is the same Bruno Katia was supposedly engaged to. Fer clarifies that they were never engaged as they'd led him to believe, but yeah, that's the guy. Vicki says it may sound crazy, but the girl isn't Sandra. She's really Mary Jo. Tío E. is saucer-eyed-impactado and very confused.

The helicopter now lands back on the grounds of the Lombardo compound and MJ/S is on the warpath. She struggles with Alex all the way down the embankment. She calls Pau and him a couple of charlatans and threatens to have them put in jail. Alex tells her he'll give her the rest of the details back inside the house. He calls her "My love." Big mistake. She slaps him. Zeke then greets her as "Sra. Mary Jo." She screams at him that her name is Sandra and lets him have an earful, too.

Across the way from the porch at her chalet, Raqhell, soused and steadying herself on the railing, squints and blinks at the scene. She can't believe her pickled peepers. It seems that the nearly dearly departed Mary Jo has returned from the edge of her grave. She mutters to herself. "Has she been cured?"

Inside the main house it's near bedlam. Pau tries to get Mary Jo to calm down. Zeke tells Alex where his mother's gone as MJ screams in the background that she's tired of all their lies and that she knows perfectly well who she is: she is SANDRA! Alex manages to keep her away from the phone and calling the police. She screams at him. "You're taking advantage of me! You're a couple of cunning cons!" She finally races upstairs to get away from them. Alex yells back as he runs up after her. "--Just like Jorge and Elena were when you met them a month ago!"

MJ/S tries shutting the bedroom door in his face but is unable to keep him out. She hides in a corner by the bed stand and cries. "What are you going to do with me now?" He takes the photo album off the nightstand and hands it to her. She refuses it, saying the pictures could have been photo-shopped. Besides, she has seen pictures of herself at the rancho in Toluca. In another one-hanky scene Alex explains those were of her twin. MJ demands to know then what happened to her twin. Alex says that unfortunately she died a couple of days ago. Mary Jo crawls away howling in frustration, fully confused, totally frightened and disoriented from what she's been told. Alex crawls towards her and grabs her. She asks what he wants from her. "I want you to listen to me and to be the same way you were before: tender, loving." She bawls even harder. He weeps beside her.

Back in C.I. Emiliano learns from Fer and Vicki that the real Sandra died from an overdose of drugs and that, in order to get hold of her inheritance, Jorge and Elena kidnapped her twin, Mary Jo, making her believe she was Sandra through a treatment of mind-altering and memory suppressing drugs Jorge developed. Tío E. is Tales-From-The-Crypt-impactado. He says he knew Jorge was reknowned for his research but had no idea that he would put it to such use. He asks them how they knew the girl dropped in front of the house wasn't MJ. Vicki explains about the robbery and stabbing that left MJ's back scarred. This girl didn't have that scar and her tattoos had been erased chemically, says Fer. Again Emiliano is drop-jawed impactado and says he will have to inform his friend about what he found out. (This is something the whole of Viewerville anticipates seeing. It'll be popcorn and pizza with obligatory ring-side seating for one and all!)

In Mérida, meanwhile, Mau pays a visit to Raqhell under the pretext of still considering them to be friends in spite of all that's gone on. Rocky Raqui is playing chess with an imaginary friend in between guzzles of white wine. Mau's disgusted. "--Still drinking I see." Raqhell tells her to save the sermons or leave, but of course Mau needs information. She says she came to find out how Raqhell was getting along. Raqhell thought she could care less about her anymore, but Mau says sure she cares, just like she cares about the family and Alex. Alex still matters to her. "How are Alex and Mary Jo, by the way?" Raquel steadies herself in her chair and giggles. "You won't believe it but Mary Jo is back! Alex brought her home!" Mau is sour-puss impactada. "Are you sure it was Mary Jo and not her twin? All the doctors said it was impossible to save her." "--She has a twin?" Raquel mentions then that Bobo told her once MJ had a twin, but she never believed him. "--Well, now you know he was telling the truth so she could very well be that twin." Mau's nervous smile is crooked as a dog's hind leg.

Inside the main house again, Alex is on the phone with Hernan explaining what's happened. Hernan gets angry because Alex didn't follow their plan. Alex says MJ was being stalked and so he had to take action. He then mentions that he brought back her bottle of pills with him for testing. He explains that she's fine but hysterical. Hernan is worried that without her medicine MJ could become irrational and have a complete breakdown. (I'd say we're there already, doc.) Alex says it's more important to find out what's in the compound so they can find something to counteract it. Hernan wants the bottle of pills ASAP so he can send them to the lab.

Pau mentions to Alex afterwards how badly it hurt seeing the hate in her sister's eyes. Alex says not to worry because Hernan will help them. Pau wonders if she should let Papi Pedro know MJ's back, but Alex says to hold off.

Zeke takes a tray of food up to MJ. She knocks it out of his hand and chases him out, telling him she's Sandra, not Mary Jo, and that they're all criminals who belong in jail.

Downstairs, Pau asks Alex what else they can do especially if she's refused to accept the photo album. He says it can't be helped because right now she only remembers the recent past.

Zeke returns to the kitchen. He tells Felipa and the housekeeper what a monster Mary Jo's become. Felipa says it's to be expected after being kidnapped by strangers and told that she's really somebody else. "She probably thinks she's gone crazy." [volver loco] The housekeeper asks if Sr. Alex might have made a mistake and the girl is really Sandra. Felipa doubts it and says that "a man so in love as Alex would recognize his love even with his eyes closed." She thinks that once she holds the baby in her arms the memories will come rushing back to her. Zeke is afraid that MJ's too violent and might hurt the baby.

Mau now struts into the living room of the main house and questions Pau whether MJ is really back home since according to the doctors recovery was out of the question. Pau is not up for sh!t from the likes of MJ's main competition. She sneers back. "Yes, though it pains you to know it, Mary Jo is back home." Mau asks if it isn't really her twin. Pau suddenly jumps Mau. It's catfight city. "Of course it isn't her twin!!!" Alex races back in after hearing the commotion. (Alex, move just a bit slower, can't you? Let The Pugster get in a few more shakes and hair-pulls, all right?) He breaks them up. Mau says Pau's gone nuts. Pau insisits she's not nuts and runs upstairs. Mau calls her an idiot. Pau spits back that Mau's the idiot. Mau ignores the reply and asks Alex if it's true that MJ is back and recovered. Alex half fibs. "Yes, it's true." "--How did you manage that?" "--It was a miracle. Even the doctors were surprised." Mau struggles to mask that sour-puss look of hers. Trying to cover her tracks --if not her nearly naked buttocks--when MJ or somebody else eventually blames her for her role in the kidnapping, she suggests that MJ will no doubt be confused about everything. Alex says they'll see, but he hasn't had a chance to talk much with her. (Get a clue, Alex! The woman is bad to the bone.) Mau gives him a sweet, sensual peck on the cheek and asks him to keep her informed. They're still friends, after all. She struts away. He frowns as she goes.

The housekeeper is now upstairs cleaning the room for Mary Jo as she comes out of the bathroom. She is greeted with another "Sra." MJ asks if the housekeeper recognizes her. The housekeeper says of course: she's Sr. Alex's wife and Baby Tony's mother. Mary Jo asks the baby's age and learns he's only 3 1/2 months old. The housekeeper leaves. Mary Jo sits on the side of the bed and begins leafing through the pictures of her and Tony. "This is the baby I painted!" She remembers breastfeeding a baby boy and painting his picture. Doubt takes over and she begins to wonder about what they've all been telling her. "Could they be right?"

Loved the recap Jardinera. The t.v. power signal went out during the last five minutes of the show and I didn't see what happened. Boy was MJ fiesty when she was fighting Alex. I was shocked when she slapped him and so was Paula. C'mon Alex use your head. Maura isn't to be trusted at all and stop letting her kiss you even if it's on the cheek. I'm looking forward to the showdown that we've been seeing over and over on the preview montage when Bruno and Elena show up at the Lombardo compound and brazenly try to snatch MJ again in Alex's presence. I have a feeling it won't be pretty LOL. I'm going to have to look this up in YouTube just to see Paula go after Maura. Also, I wonder what did happen with Katia and Mateo in the bedroom since it was kind of left up in the air. I guess we'll know soon enough. Hated how rude Katia was to Lis when all she wanted was someone to talk to.

Jardinera thanks for another fun recap.

Alex should have let Paula get at Maura, and i hate how she is allowed to strut around the Lombardo grounds like she owns it.

Her look when she found out that MJ has returned sour pussed indeed.

Bruno the ever so smart idiot who got out smarted again by his half-brother that constipated look of his when he got the description of Ester and Nichalex too funny the racing over to the rented house they used to really confirmed it was them.

How in the world do kidnappers get upset when their victim is kidnapped right from under them.

All three stooges are now in panic mode specially if MJ real memory starts seeping back in.

Lissette is better off with out Katia and her older sister too. I Hernan can help at this moment because she is scared and depressed not a good combination for all she is going through.

Tio Emiliano his look when he founf out that Damian is really Bruno Lombardo Vicki sick and unstable son. The same Bruno that Katia claimed was her novio.

Looking at his expression when he found out that Bruno,Elena and Dr.Demented kidnapped MJ and had her pose as Sandra to get their hands on his friend's Porifio's money. I can't wait for him to tell Porfirio.

I thought Alex after he broke up the fight between Paula and Maura was kind of cold in his anger with Maura he doesn't have the actual proof yet like he does with Bruno,Elena and Dr.Demented but i think he really suspects now that Maura may have helped in MJ's kidnapping.

Maura i think was aware that he was angry with her too by the look on her face.

Katia has just been a nasty little skank ever since she came, i don't like her one bit.

Thanks for the recap Jardinera. Your title gave me a chuckle as did your it's called rescue Bruno. Your comment about tio being tales from the crypt impacto was a keeper as well. It's such fun watching the plots and schemes of the baddies fall apart.

I can't wait until Tio and S/MJ's Abuelo have the conversation about what Tio found on his visit. I hope Abuelo lives to see Dr. Death and Elena go to jail and decided to be MJ's abuelo. As others have mentioned, he might a ornery but he is a lovable old coot.

Alex should have waited a bit long before breaking up the fight.

And I really felt for poor Lissette.

Great recap, Jardinera. I laughed all the way through, but especially liked your descriptions of Raqhell, such as "She can't believe her pickled peepersickled peepers". LOL!

There was definitely a lot of action in this episode, and it looks as if we'll have even more if we get the confrontation between Alex and Bruno. Since we still have a little more than two weeks left, we're bound to have a bunch more things go wrong, although right now everything's looking good for our heroes.

Thanks for the fantastic recap Jardinera. I was out last night so missed this, but watched the pieces I could find on You Tube today. If someone finds a more complete version of the episode, please point me in the right direction because I would love to see the fight between Paula and Maura, and the faces of the evil trio when they realize Alex has been one step ahead of them and taken MJ from under their noses. Yay!

But I did get to see MJ freak out and slap the heck out of Alex. If she's supposed to get more aggitated and irritable as she withdraws from the pills, then the Lombardo casa better watch out. Yikes! Alex was smart enough to pull the phone out of the wall socket so that she couldn't call the cops, but that probably just made her more paranoid. We are in for a bumpy ride back to love, it looks like.

Jardinera, I can't tell you how grateful I am for the wonderfully detailed recap. I lost the signal on a few cable channels @ 8:30 last night and Univision never came up until much later.Needless to say, no Sorti. Your recap was so great I could picture everything perfectly.

Very sad about Roberto. I'm still thinking the stupid writers will let Raquel get her AHA moment and become this sudden loving mother with the baby so close. Ick!Just won't buy that one.

And I still think what they did to Katia was unnecessary (the writers), whether she remembers or not. As for the characters that put her in the situation, well I think Maura already has her front row seat in hell reserved right next to Bruno.

Not always my favorite character, but Dr. Hernan gets a big thumbs up from me from what you describe he did for Lisette.

Looks like the light bulbs are going off for MJ. She just needs to see Tony and it should all come back to her.

Thanks again!

The moment bruno found out that he was once again outsmarted by his smarter half brother was priceless. But the guy is so crazy he just won't give up. He seems never to get tired of his losing record against Alex.

On to MJ...I know I hate it when I forget things like where I left my pen, or what ingredient I have to buy at the grocery, but I wonder if I'll fight the feelings I have if I were in MJ's shoes...the baby, the man...hmmmm???

as always, funny recap.

Jardinera - Thank you for the great recap. I didn't know if you had electricity or cable with this winter storm. We're out of town, and I hope my DVR recorded this episode.

I guess with two weeks to go, they won't have Vicki fall for Tio E. Too bad.

Poor Lisette. She needs a new family and friends.

Thanks for the excellent/funny recap, Jardinera. It's so nice that Alex has a white helicopter. So much faster than a white horse when rescuing a damsel in distress.
Good acting from MJ in this episode.
Could we say she did some heavy lifting for the cast, since she seemed to be wearing one of those black support belts? Also loved Alex down on the floor with her, crying right along with her.
La Paloma

OK, Caray has to intervene and send Lissette a friend. I am so sad for her. Sigh, I thought they would grant her a small romance with an oncologist, but no. Let's see, I'll volunteer for a stint at the bedside IF I get to be present when she really gives her sister what for.

OK, as a bonus, one of us Good Samaritans who befriend Lissette will win the bonus opportunity to host a dinner with the Sorti actors of your choice.

As I arrange place cards around the dinner table, I see that the group of eight is comprised of...

VAMOS, Carayland:
Send in your dinner party suggestions and the reasons for each choice. Since I started this program, I'll announce the lucky winner in the last week of Sorti.

EJ, channeling her inner hospital pink lady...

Jardineria,

I want to properly thank you tomorrow when I'm not on a phone for all your hard work on the recap.

EJ, wonderful idea on the party. Are we inviting the Sorti actors as themselves or as their characters?

Doris, be super careful when you return home to Nashville. The roads are very treacherous. Some are plowed, but most are not!!

Jardinera, thanks! Great recap for a really loaded episode.

Darn, I was overwhelmed with all of MJ's emotions. That girl was out of control! Poor Alex got a slap too. That hurts. Seriously, I was soo frustrated seeing MJ lose it. I have no idea what the heck Alex is gonna do to calm her down.

Maybe seeing the baby will be helpful, but damn I think I'm with Ezquiel. She seems too violent. I'd keep her away for awhile.

As for Lissete, I'm with you guys. She needs a friend. Jardinera, I certainly wanted to give Hernan a hug for listening to her.

Katia should be remembering what happened later...(?)

Sandy:

You may make a table of either the actors OR their characters but you may not mix the two. Maximum table of 8 and you are one of the 8.

I just heard about your storm. Please stay safe.

Vivi, I didn't find the entire episode, but you can see the fight in this one:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ODuIJU5WHsg&feature=youtube_gdata

Wow..sounds like it was quite an episode and of course I always love your recaps. Have a very sore tailbone from a fall on black ice so not watching tv right now but couldn't stay away from the computer.

Loved the link to the Mayan ruins info, "Toluca's back 40, "Viewerville blows the old dude a kiss" and "Tales from the Crypt impactado". How do you come up with these things!?...too funny.

I've always been a Dr. Hernan booster (think I was a party of one who thought Vicky should go with him instead of Fernando)so glad he's getting a chance to show what a great guy he is, in addition to being the entire medical staff of the city of Merida. I mean...whaddaa guy.

Thanks Jardinera. Enjoyed the recap. Now back to bed and my own adorable Mr. Advil.

Thanks for that link Cielo. Plus there was an advance for the next episode. Looks like it will be another exciting one.

You guys are right. Alex should have let the tussle between Paula and Maura go on a little longer so that she could have gotten a good slap in. :) Paula can see right through that fake concern, plus she suspects Maura had a hand in the kidnapping. I'm not understanding what Alex is feeling about Maura right now. He certainly doesn't trust her enough to let her know what's really happening, but does he really think she had a part in the kidnapping? And if so, then why in the heck is he letting her into his wife's house? Is he trying to play it cool until they have more concrete evidence against the kidnappers?

Poor Zeke! MJ scared the heck out of him. Lol! From the advance, doesn't look like she's calmed down much by tomorrow.

Judy- Please take care of yourself, and stay away from that ice! I read about your slip over on the Gancho line. I can't believe you went and taught a class after that! Crazy woman! :)

Hi, everybody! Now that I've figured out how to get the DVD's to play the CC on my computer screen(Don't laugh! I may have given birth to one, but I am NOT of the computer geek generation. If ever there was a need for reverse inheritance/osmosis of genetic disposition...)
=============
Pirate Babe/daisynjay: Signals on strike? Seems to be the going thing these days. Glad the recaps help. ; ? )
===========
Karen/Anon'mi: I'm rooting for Katia to get a deadly case of HIV from Matteo and to have Fer and Alex blame Maura for it and then put her on trial for some of the same stuff as Bruno re minors. Then, with Katia dying and Lis safely alive let's see how she reacts to being the sick one.
==========
Hombre: Tons of yapping this episodio. So, yeah, way too much going on for one episodio. ; > )
==========
SMC: Welcome! Definitely a disorienting experience for MJ. Can't say as I blame her for the hysterics, but it was like listening to fingernails on a blackboard watching all that screaming and crying.
==========
ViviDC: Bummer! Youtube is a shameful mess now. Sometimes they piece the important scenes together numerically, but now it's not the same thing, ever.

Doris/SandyTN: snowstorms all missed us. I've even seen a flock of robin red breasts all over my yard picking up straw through the patches of ice. Hope that means a drier and warmer, sunnier and EARLY spring and summer this year.

ElnaJune -Sorry, I won't be able to attend the soiree. ; > {
===========
Cielo de Levy: Thanks for the link. It was a great catfight. Totally love the Pugster when she fights back.
----------
JudyB: I'd demand to be trundled into the t.v. room! Hope you're back among the walking soon. Put in a call to Mexico for Dr. Hernan to personally treat you. If he loses out to nifty Nalgas de Nando, I bet that Hernan ends up a missionary somewhere with Lis as his own "young love".....the way things are going in this love-with-any-age telenovela.

Margaritas to start
Chiles rellenos
flautas
flan for dessert
Pls send a special invitation to Fernando Colunga & give him a seat next to me. I'll try to keep my hands to myself.

Vickita is 3½ mths old & Raquel is just learning her name. Guess she & Elena went to the same school of motherhood. I'm beginning to chg my mind that there will be redemption for Raquel.

Fernando obviously got his blue eyes from Tio. Maybe Tio will end up with Victoria.
Fernando & Tio could be the ones to jog MJ's memory, since she knows them since she was supposed to be Sandra.

I must say this was an action packed episode and a great recap.

Jardinera, no, not a signal strike, thank goodness. We had some issues with all the channels for about 1/2 hour and then it suddenly the channel went blue screen. When I scrolled through the channels, some were working, others not. Close to 11 pm everything was okay again. I blame it on the Wolf Moon :).
Thankfully I got ENDA or I would have been a VERY unhappy camper to miss both. Just bummed this sounds like it was an awesome episode. Going to try and get online and find a good replay.

JudyB
I'm in Fl, where right now it's 70, sorry to rub it in guys. I have no idea what black ice is. Pls enlighten me.

Variopinta: I would definitely vote Raqhell off the island! No redemption for her. I bet she dies from liver failure by the end of the show.
==========
daisynjay: try Youtube unless you can somehow get the esmas videos to work on your system, but they always come back with a message that their stuff doesn't work in the U.S.

Jardinera, another wonderful recap, chocked full with visuals like.......Maura’s Pink Hello Kitty mansion. I’m so glad that you highlighted Dr. Hernan. There haven’t been many quiet, kind moments in this novela. I was so relieved that the good doctor was there for Lissete. The way her friends and FAMILY have let her down has been VERY painful to watch!

JudyB, I too read about your injury on Gancho, so sorry. Keeping you in mind I have been even more careful while walking on the black ice around here. Try some Lynchburg Lemonade when the Advil wears off, it dulls the pain AND lifts the spirits!!
http://www.drinksmixer.com/drink4303.html

OK, now for my dinner party....There’s no point in inviting the characters, so many will be dead or in jail soon, I’ll go to a lot of work for nothing. I plan to invite the following actors:

1.William Levy (Alex) For VERY obvious reasons!
2.Danela Romo (Vicky) She has had a long successful career and will bring lot of fun insider information. (interested in FC in particular!) Also, as the character, she has a wonderful way of blessing people, I’d like to learn how to do that! If I used the blessing, it would surprise my family I’m sure, but they’ll just have to get used to it, it would make me feel better!
3.(?) Dr. Hernan I need people more my age at the party!
4.Ana Brenda (Maura) I think she has done a great job with her role as Maura. She’s a rising talent like Sylvia Navarro!

5.David Zepeda (Bruno) I want to encourage him to try a galan role. When in a love scene, he has great moves. Also, I want to VERY tactfully suggest that he lose the tight pants, bad for fertility!
6. Wendy Gonzalez (Paula) Won’t have to worry about a lull in the conversation
7.(?) Sr. Segal (kidnapping expert) Cute guy, I have some single friends. He’ll have to smoke the outside though!
8.(?) Filipa: She’s good with sage advice and she’ll bring Cuco.
9. Jackie Bracamontes (Maria Jose) She looks like the type who’d help a little! Also, I’d love to encourage her to take roles featuring strong, determined women. This type of character is better for her that the whiny or SUPER ANGRY (what was with that?) thing she’s done in Sorti.

I’m holding Daniela Lujan (Lissete) for cancellations. She must be sad because she’s had to play someone battling lukemia all alone....she needs a pick me up!!

EJ, I need a favor, Cielo needs to come. I can use her help! I’d hate to have a party with WL and not invite Cielo. She doesn’t need to ask her parents, it’s just pretend.

Variopinta..."black ice" is ice that's so transparent it blends into whatever is below it (like asphalt driveway in my case) so you can't see it. Therefore muy peligroso. I was carrying a big recycling bin so was off balance anyway. And wearing clogs. And boom! Feet went up, body slammed down, recycling went all over the neighborhood (it was also windy). Tremors for a few hours but now just a lot of friggin' soreness. I need sympatico Dr. Hernan to come fix me!!!!!

Oh yes, EJ my party is for 10!

Question: I don't remember how Fernando found out for certain that Maura was in on MJ's kidnapping. Can somebody remind me please???? Thanks!!

Thanks for a funny recap Jardinera.

Sandy:

Of course invite our dear Cielo, it's all a silly froth of fantasy anyway! It was late at night when I wrote that and I was feeling so terrible for Lissette and then...

I love your party of 10.

EJ

Jardinera:

Such a good recap you gave us. I always look forward to this Saturday treat. Your line "Crotchya is now high on Spanish Fly" deserves a place in the classic lines of Caray, volume one.

Jardinera: I don't think Fernando knows for sure. When he found out that Bruno's company near Toluca doesn't exist, he mentioned to Alex that they should think about Maura's involvement in this. Alex then responded something about hyenas.

For those interested, Sorti's casts (WL, JB, David, Gabriel, Chantelle and Daniela) taped 2 episodes I think of Christina. Not sure when it'll be shown.

LV

The recap is to Sortilegio like Classic Comics is to A Tale of Two Cities, haha.

Is anyone with me on this one--now I see why JB was given top billing. She actually plays three very different characters. Everyone else just plays one.

I think all the invitees for Sandy's party are A-list, but I'm sorry that there's no room for Marcelo Cordoba (if you can fit him in, I'd ask him to remove his little chin hair first).

Could we have a "kiddie table" at Sandy's party like we have at Thanksgiving? These would be actors who have contributed something, but didn't get as much screen time.

I wish I knew everyone's real names, but I'd have to go back and review the credits. Sometimes the characters they play aren't listed. For starters:

1. Don Porfirio (he may be dead by the end, though). He's so distinguished looking and a fine actor.
2. Mari (or Mary), Ale's trusty secretary. I'd like to know how she feels to be an overweight actress and how has it affected her career. I don't mean any disrespect, I'm overweight myself.
3. Erick Does he ever get tired of playing the side-kick. I'd love to see him clean up and lose the awful shirts and pants they have him wear.
4. Rosie the nurse - she just seems like a really sweet person, probably in real life as well.
5. Don Pedro - I'm sure there's a non-crying, woe-is-me personality hiding in there.
6. Cochi-whatever from the DR deserted island episodes. He'd be the only real kid unless we can get the babies to come.

In a completely separate area, maybe just outside Sandy's dining room window, I'd like to have all of Elena's horses there. I love horses and hers are particularly beautiful.
Newbie in Md

I don't think Fernando knows for sure but Maura's participation doesn't make sense:

If the kidnapping was supposed to be because Maria Jose was rich, then they should have kidnapped Maura, too. But they didn't.

Now Maura's bouncing into Alex's house and company telling Alex to just let Maria Jose die and get on with his life and poking around trying to find out Maria Jose's business.

Neither Paula nor Fernando are friends with Maura so they can more easily believe she played a role in the kidnapping than Alex, who grew up with, was friends with and was intimate with, Maura.

Yet Alex is suspicious of Maura. I hope he remembers (or Mari brings it up!) that Elena called Maura on her cell and that's why Maura was chewing out Mari at Lombardo Inc. There's the connection right there.

I do not think that Maria Jose would be violent with baby Tony.

I have to believe there's going to be another time jump in this story b/c I think Raquel is going to end up redeemed & she can't be redeemed at the pace this story is going.

Tks for the black ice 411, I thought it was dirty or oily.
JudyB, that recycle can't wait until spring?????

By all means Roberto should come to the party & don't forget Chucho, he is always fun.

Sandy and EJ, LOL! Many thanks for the thoughtful invite. Cracking up! WL invited for obvious reasons ;-)

I don't think Victoria will end up with Tio. That would be wierd for them. Then again, this show already has some unusual situations.

Anon, you're right about all the stuff on the kidnapping and Maura. I think Alex is waking up now too. He sees how fake she is.

Newbie, I think you make an excellent point, some of the really great performances in Sorti have been on the part of the secondary actors, (names?) Mary, Erick, Don Porfirio and Cochi. I'd like to see all of them in something else.
Anon, I have been thinking about Rachel myself. There is just no time for a belivable redemption. After all, it has taken several weeks for Roberto to change the direction of his character from a bad downward slide to his "heavenly" accent, even having him loving a baby that isn't his! The novela gods have thrown the bad mom book at Raquel, maybe they don't have redemptiom in mind for her. Giving little Vicky to Vicky and Fernando might be what we will see! Vicky has worried about not being able to give Nando children. The solution to this one should be interesting, I just hope that it isn't the little blue bow that we have been talking about!

I loved your recap, Jardinera - funny, smooth with nice cultural interjections. Thank you!

I like the idea of Tio Emiliano with Victoria. Not only is he smart, well-educated and good-hearted, but and his handlebar mustache correspond much better with Victoria's matronly clothes and Dutch-boy haircut than does Fer's 21st century stubble. Couldn't the writers kill off Fer in the next two weeks, leaving a grieving Victoria to turn to Emiliano for comfort?

Chavala,

Maybe Fernando could be "offed" by some of the Mayan extras who were made to wear those unrealistic flowered costumes on the Lombardo Construction "location" shots visited by Vicky and Fernando. That was a little cheesy!

Just kidding, I don't want anything to happen to Fernando, it will just make me feel terrible because I've said bad things about him!!

Tio Emiliano was so kind to Fernando as they walked around Chichen Itza. He was gallant with Vicki and very supportive of the May/September romance. How nice for Fernando to have one supportive family member.

And Tio and Porfirio have a very nice friendship. I want them to have a happy ending, too.

La Paloma: Great comment on the support belt that SaMJ was wearing. That would support some heavy lifting, for sure. (Smile).

I was ambivalent about Bracamontes' acting last night. Or maybe it is the directing that I am objecting to. It just didn't ring true. The anger, especially, felt forced. Of course, if I put myself in poor MJ's shoes, she was being kidnapped, yet again.

Newbie:
Your kiddie table idea is great. I especially love Arturo and Mari the diligent. I would love to sit with them.

Anon:
Interesting idea you have that we will see another time-jump. ITA, how else will we redeem Raquel? Honestly, I loved Sandy's comment that the TN gods threw the evil book at Raquel's character. Please, Sandy, I am with you, no blue bow.

NewbieMD: LOL! I hope you meant that Classic Comics is the script from Sortilegio and my recap's worthy of a good work like Dickens' TTC!!
==========
LV: Thanks for the Maura/Fer clarification. That makes sense to me.
=============
Chavala: I definitely could picture Fer's tío as a much more suitable suiter for Vicki myself! This combo of Fer and her and the tío was just so wrong. It clashed like dischordant notes.....JMNSHO
=============
La Paloma:
"Alex has a white helicopter. So much faster than a white horse when rescuing a damsel in distress."
LOL! Touchet!

Chavala: what a crack-up, your 'Victoria's matronly clothes and Dutch-boy haircut.' her hair totally irks me too. whose bright idea was that? also, if I were her and Felipa, I wouldn't allow any close-ups; their make-up (especially lipstick shades which draw attention to their not-so-nice teeth) are just atrocious! I hate to be mean, but I just cringe everytime the camera gets too close to their faces.

Let's not forget Ulises, he has to figure into this somehow, but sth has to happen so he doesn't get anymore whatever Jorge is giving him.Tio, Porfirio, Fernando are the key to solving this puzzle.

But what do I know, I said Sandra would have a miraculous recovery until she showed up in a box.

I said Vicki might end up with Tio, but what about poor Dr Hérnan?
He's so sweet he should have someone.

Somebody be sure to invite Cuco to your Party-of-Ten dinner. He won't need a seat.... can sit under the table and pick up scraps although I'm sure he'll "cute" his way into handouts..

Sandy in TN - Interstates were dry all the way to Murfreesboro, where we picked up 840, it was 99% dry. We really didn't drive on snow until we turned into our subdivision. Monteagle Mtn. was clear and dry. We're grateful. Our son turned 28 today, yet I remember his birth like yesterday. Wow, time flies!

regarding victoria's hair. I like it and would not mind mine looking that; however, for the part she is playing (having fernando as her beau, her hair probably should be more youngish.

jardinera, your recaps are always so interesting and the titles are excellent.

jardinera--of course that's what I meant, even it came out reversed. You are definitely worthy of the status of a Dickens.

Where IS Erick these days. The three evil schemers can't do it alone. Shouldn't he be in the way, as always, grumbling and cursing and not killing anybody?
Newbie in Md

I don't mind Victoria's 'do too much, but those espadrilles on her feet with a long skirt made her look about as attractive as a hog jowl.

Thanks again, guys. Glad y'all had some fun with it.

Jardinera~~Thanks for your excellent, as always, recap. I've been reading the recap and comments during commercial breaks for the Grammys. Judyb~~I hope that you and your derriere are feeling better soon. I worry about you. EJ~~~ I would like to invite Roberto o o/ Marcelo o o to my dinner party...just him....I prefer small dinner parties. The menu : A garden salad, roast chicken, roasted red potatoes, and zucchini. [I'm a simple cook.] For DESSERT , Asti Spumante and Godiva chocolates I think music is very important to set the mood for a dinner party, and we know that Roberto o o knows how to move it , move it. I like a nice mix of music styles, so we'll start out with one of my all time favs ''At Last'' by Etta James [You can't beat the original.] Also, some Fleetwood Mac and Stevie Nicks ..my fav '' Sara.'' Also, Lady Antebellum ''I Need You.'' And , as the evening progresses , let's have a little Barry White to mellow things out. Right on , right on, right on.

Erick is over at Amor Real being a good guy for a change, at least so far. Pedro is there too & not acting the sad sack. And Raquel as the usual bitch.

Susanlynn,
Did you see Lady Antebellum on the Grammys? They were singing your song, I Need You. Also, Stevie Nicks sang with Taylor Swift....

Etta James has alzheimers, so sad.

Doris, glad you arrived home safely! You missed a messy weekend here!

Susanlynn:

I love your recipe for a great dinner party. Marcelo is one lucky man.

Big grin.

Late to the party. Wonderful recap, Jardinera. You've got that fine alliteration going on, as usual.

Actually, I was surprised at how low-key Bruno's reaction was at discovering Alex and Pau had made off with Mj. I was expecting one of those right up into the screen rants, with his too-white teeth snarling into the camera. He was angry, but almost like he expected it - that it was too good to be true he could have gotten MJ. After all, he hasn't won too many rounds with Alex.

I also have given up on Raquel. I really doubt she can be rehabilitated. I don't think she'll be killed off, maybe just give custody of the baby to either her mother or Roberto, so that she can drink herself to death in peace.

Alex did comment a couple of episodes ago that he was pretty sure Maura was involved with the kidnapping. I don't know why he doesn't let her have it, but surely that scene is coming soon. THAT'S the one I want popcorn and a good seat for!

Susanlynn: Oh Marcellooooooo! Definitely a dinner guest I'd love to have for dessert - he'd definitely be my dessert!
=================
Novelera: Maybe El Bruto's beginning to run out of steam? Loved that quip from Jorge the other night telling him to improve his groove-getter-onner/er...technique with Mary Jo.

Hmm, I wonder if LISSETE will be the one to spill the beans on Maura? She knows Maura is involved in the kidnapping...it's not known if she told Katia before she collapsed.

A quick ''hello'' while I eat my cereal before I dash off to work. Sandy~~I saw Taylor and Stevie..sweet. Taylor grew up about an hour from here. I've seen Stevie in concert twice..once with Fleetwood Mac and once with Don Henley [Eagles]. She is the real deal. I love Stevie. I want to be Stevie. My new fav group is Lady Antebellum. They have a beautiful sound. Jardinera~~You are invited to my dinner party. I think that Marcelo o o will be charming company. Do you have any music selections you'd like to hear ? Maybe he can teach us the Lambada. It will be interesting to see how the writers wrap things up on the novela. I suppose Li'l Tony will be the key to unlock SMJ's memory..that eternal link between mother and child will do the trick. I think that Bruno will get hit by a big pietruck. Eric hates him , and both Katia and Mauron would turn on him in a minute. I still don't understand the setup between Katia and Mateo that Bruno had Mauron engineer. What was the purpose of that? Lisette deserves a reward for her suffering both disease and the insensitivity of Mauron and Kat. Maybe she'll end up with Roberto o o. I'm still waiting for Useless to wake up, smell the cafe, and beat up Dr. Doom. I'm sure that Vic and her boytoy Fer will be together in the end because we are constantly reminded that they are in looove, and Tio seems to have given his blessing, so we'll have one big happy family. Katia is young , so she'll probably be spared, but something wicked this way comes for Mauron. I just can't figure out what it will be.

P.S. Jardinera, I'm glad that you and Connie have signed on to recap Corazon.

Happy Monday everyone! Priceless recap Jardinera. I can't wait until they tell Porfirio! Can you imagine? For sure you don't piss off viejitos with lots of money. I haven't had a chance to read all the comments so more later.

I started to watch Pasion on DVD yesterday. Now I know where Victoria's hair-do comes from. Monica Miguel got it out of wardrobe of the 18th Century priest in the village church (same color, too).
Newbie in Md

I don't recall Alex ever saying he knows Maura is in on the kidnapping, i remember Ferdumbo warning him she could have played a part in it. Also Paula talked about it again to him whem Arturo confirmed he saw Bruno with MJ.

I think Alex suspects her big time because miss skank has been very heavy handed in trying to get him to forget about MJ already and he shouldn't because she's in a coma.

She's has said this in front of Ferdumbo and Roberto, showing how not so bright she is and exposing her insensitive behind to him.

He was barely tolerating her presence after her cat fight with Paula.

Newbie LOL about Vicki wig being borrowed from the priest on the novela Passion.

Susanlynn, your Mauron (moron) tag was funny!!!

After watching the show on friday i made the mistake of erasing it 2minutes later (what ever happened to the "are you sure you want to erase" button) so i wasnt able to rewatch to understand more of what was going on so,thanks for the great recap.

I think at this stage Alex does know that maura was involved in the kidnapping but as someone has stated b/4 she is nothing but background noise for him. Once MJ is safe and back to her normal self I think Maura will be in for a rude awakening.

Elena's plan is already doomed since Tio knows everything thus Proficio. So, even if they get S/MJ back they wont get any money I guess then Elena will be threw playing mom.

Has Katia turned 18 yet? b/c if she hasnt and she was raped at a party that maura gave she could be held responsible for it. I would love to see Maura in jail with her new girlfriends uh! cellmates.

Please let Mateo get hit by a car!!!
or peroxide poisoning(if that's possible).

Lissette's new friend could be Gabriel he's always at the hospital for threapy maybe they'll meet up.

Raquel hasnt really done anything except drink and scream. I think the best punishment for her is to be disowned and kicked out into the streets.

i think Bruno maybe worst than Dr. Doom. Atleast with Dr. Doom you know what your dealing with just by his personality. Brunos able to hide his true self (atleast for a little while. And the Dr. hasnt killed anyone directly yet but Bruno has with his own hands. I think Alex was right when he said the only way to deal with Bruno is to kill him. I just hope its soon and very painful.

Jardinera: Excellent recap. I always enjoy your humor and you write so well.

Glad you'll be recapping CS, I cannot wait!

Diana

Susanlynn:

Love "Mauron". May I also suggest "Maulicious"?

Jardinera:

It is only with a second reading of your recap that I can truly appreciate the details. Fine work. With a grin and great appreciation for your alliteration skills.

EJ

Jardinera - I think Comcast has joined the ranks of evil-doer cable TV providers, like the company you have (Charter?) I can NOT pick up Looneyvision today, at all. Most likely they have moved it to the digital tier, thus forcing me to pay $$/mo. to rent a !@#$!@#$ digital box for our other TV. They didn't even warn us. Aaaargh! (and more !@#$!) Bless their black little hearts.

Good thing I'm not a recapper, or I'd really be irate. This is just another way they can squeeze more $$ out of us.

For sure, I'll miss everything I usually record on VCR. DVR is overloaded with regular network recording on Thursday nights. !Vaya!

Are there any important basketball/football games tonight? We might see a 41 year old marriage desentigrate over the use a television...... I'm worried that Sorti won't seem as important as XYZ vs XYZ. As Doris just said, without warning, today if you have no Comcast "box", you have no Univison, just a snowy, fuzzy mess. Yes Doris, soooooo very glad we aren't recappers!!

What's going on with the Youtube videos? I just wanted to watch the first episode of Corazon Salvaje and all I could find were promos. And the sorti videos are all chopped up.

Does anyone else have problems with the Univision signal? I go back and watch my recording and everything is pixelated and the sound goes in and out. Makes me nuts. Sometimes I miss a whole scene because of the weirdness.

La dueña de tu amor

It looks like it won't be Lucero but Alicia Machado. Is she good, I want my FC to have the best if it can't be me.
Also
Pablo Montero
Ana Martín, I think she loves Colunga as much as we do
Eric del Castillo
Eduardo Capetillo, Reyes cousin in FELS, cute
Gaby Espino, Villain
Jessica Coch, sth like that
David Zepeda, bad guy again

Vario,
La Duena looks good...when and where?

That does sound good. I second that. I saw in the promo that Pad Tad (FELS) is in Corazon. Very dashing I might add!

Sandy, My guess is after Corazon Salvaje. They are just starting to film.

Count me in for both Corazon and La Dueno. I am happy that I'll get to see Big Ed followed by TBLMOE. Our cable company changed almost all the channel numbers a little while ago. It was confusing , but now instead of just getting Unision , we also get Telefutura, and maybe Telemundo. However, the little bedroom tv that had a converter box now gets nothing. Hub is considering Direct TV.

There are lots of familiar faces in Corazon : Helena Roja [Matilde's mother in Amor Real], Coni from Gancho, Pad Tad, Christian Fuentes from FELS , Angelique Boyer, Paloma's honey and Romina's mother from ENDA.

Padre Tadeo (Rene Casados) is in the funniest most ridiculous scene in telenovela land. I can't find it, it was from La Madrastra, I think.
Too good to miss, I hope someone can find it. I like him too, but this has to be hard to live down.

This isn't the one I was lookin for, but it will do, enjoy

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ipeqZOyO4Dw&feature=PlayList&p=6FD27584BA3BCAE4&index=15

I still disagree that Alex knows about Maura's involvement in the kidnapping but he strongly and i stress strongly suspect her now because her stupid behavior.

As Susanlynn called her Mauron has kept on harping about Alex shouldn't suffer so and he should move on. When she told him to pull the plug on MJ already and move on in front of Roberto.

I think that's when Alex reallt started to see how insincere and insensitive Mauron truly is.

He was barely tolerating her presence in casa Lombardo when she came over to find out what's happening.

I hope they replay the cat fight beteen her and Paula i know a lot of you guys said you missed it's worth seeing it again.

Variopinta- Lol! The video montage of that couple is so funny. Mariloca from Tontas, and I don't know the actor. They looked like an over the top evil couple. Loved the super long matching cigarettes they both smoke. What novela was that?

variopinta - Thanks for the link. What a trip.... La Madrastra was a total circo and the foro was amazed over the orange tones of Fabiola's skin.

I have to give telenovela actors credit. They do more physical changes and 'become' their characters than American actors, IMO. It just adds to the fun.

Variopinta- I now see that was from La Madrasta. Looks like that would have been a funny one to recap. Lots of snark possibilities.

LV- Thanks for the link to the scene with Bruno and Elena figuring out it was Paula and Alex. Once again, I was distracted by Bruno's pants issues as he stood there talking to the houseman at the rented house. Looks like he has some bragging rights, but he really should only reveal his, ahem...assets at the appropriate time and place- like the bedroom. Not in tight pants. And he should probably stick to swim trunks too. No Speedos for him. :)

Vivi, that's padre Tadeo.
I know the best video is from Talk Soup, but I can't find it.

Doris/SandyTn: Upgrading to cable's digital to get Uni is like suffering through a bad case of strep or pneumonia. Your downtime seems like it will never end. Maybe somebody can record on their DVR's or something for you so you can catch up over the weekend. Nasty that it's right during the ultimas semanas. Rotten timing. Hope you both get your cable guy appointment real soon. 8 ? \

Susanlynn/Connie/Diane/EJ/Ebony: I saw the CS previews and EY did look FINE. The scenes actually looked pretty decent and I'm sort of psyched. Maybe it's just that I saw them in the wee hours when I turned on the t.v. to try to fall back asleep and it affected my judgment..... It might actually be half-way decent if we can suspend reality long enough to forget the characters' real ages again. My choice would have been Rulli or Levy, but oh well.....Should be good Caray fodder.

Vivi ROFL with your comments concerning Bruno's too too too tight pants, i don't know if it's his choice or the wardrobe recommendation that he go commando while wearing those pants.

Let's just say they are too distracting while trying to take in what's being said in the scene he's wearing them in.

Someone mention awhile back how much they loved the novela El Clon well they are doing a remake of it on Telemundo.

I got fed up with Comcrap YEARS ago and went with DirecTV with a DVR. It's been exemplary, and the price increases are minimal. Everyone I know with cable pays through the nose. I also switched to DirecTV's Latino package (no extra cost), which gives me more Spanish language channels than I could ever watch, some from Peru, Chile, the Dominican Republic, and lots from Mexico.

My recollection of why I think Alex knows about Maura's involvement comes from a scene with Alex and Fernando at the Lombardo offices. Fernando suggests that Maura might have been involved because she was the one who took MJ to the house where the kidnapping occurred. After Fer says this, Alex nods and says it's probably true.

I remember the scene you're talking about but Alex is not condemning her yet without concrete evidence, What he is angry at her now is because of her constantly saying he should move on. Her last insensitive statement in front of Roberto was pull the plug on MJ and move on with your life.

Alex look alone should have told her she overstepped the boundaries and friendship. Mauron who is so desparate and pathetically dangerous hasn't a clue every time she opens her and makes comments like this Alex is seeing her for what she really is.

If you really think about it her comments are just as nasty as Raqhell's.
