Llena de Amor #152 (Mex. 166-167) Fri 3/18/11

Ordinarily on Fridays in DF I unleash the little hamster and let him roam freely following wherever his little rodential whims lead us. Sorry little fellow, thanks to the suits at Univision there will be no free-range aimless wandering about Mexico for us tonight. Nopis. It's up on that wheel with you and let's see if we can put some coherence to this mishmash of information we have in front of us this evening.

Part I, Brandon, We Need To Talk

Ilitia has prodded her own little hamster rewarding us with a... :

Flashback!

Brandon and Ilitia. It was good sex... but was it safe sex? Yikes!

"Five weeks you say? No, no, no! I'll die! No, no, no!" Sipis. It all adds up. A naco spermatozoan has found refuge in a supermodel ovum and even as we speak, a dark fetal poli is nestled safely in that warm pampered womb.

Fedra is shocked... shocked to find Alfredo in the massage room frolicking with Delicia, "Delicia, you slutlet! Wait'll I tell Axel." Poor Delicia is dismayed and flees. Fedra likes the cut of Alfredo's jib. She just might have a little job for him later.

*At the agency, Victoria rants. Anyone really care? Yes! This is an important scene as Vicky swoons. Soooo... looks like Ilitia is not the only one expecting the stork. Remember, you heard it first here, folks. Doris strokes and fans her. No doubt... embarazada.

Ready to film, but Jorge comes in and tosses verbal ice water on Andre, The lipstick people don't want Andre as a spokesperson.

*Losers. Alfredo and Lorena discuss Axel's upcoming nuptials. Lorena hopes they will be very happy together. Gretel joins them, exchanges unpleasantries with Lorena, then Al keeps Gretel from pouncing on her to rip her hair out by the roots.

Noticing that Gretel is a tasty morsel, he begins chatting her up. Hasn't seen around the campus lately. She tells him of her journalistic plans and he is almost as impressed with her plans as he is with her cleavage.

Doris speaks up in defense of him but he doesn't want her as his guardian angel. Jerk.
Andre is an angry young man... he almost knocks Eman down as he stalks off... Vicky takes the opportunity to carp at Emanuel a bit. Shouldn't he be at the gynecologist's with his wife?...next!

Gretel is all set to blow off Alfredo when a jealous Oliver strolls up. She takes the opportunity to needle Oliver by agreeing to meet Alfredo for dinner tonight and later perhaps they can go to a club. He calls her mamita which turns Olivers simmer up to boil. Alfredo splits. Gretel glowers. Oliver grovels. Gretel goes.

*Ilitia has come to visit mom. Problems . Muñeca admits that she's never been pregnant but is willing to listen.

*Eating grapes again, Eman consults with Benigno. This baby thing has botched things up between him and Victoria de la Garza. Well, yeah. But what about between her and the other? "Other?" "El Lirio de Plata.." Now I have no captions for this, but I'm willing to believe that Benigno has discovered a loophole.

*José Maria has arrived at the naco dorm, runs into Brandon. He offers Brandon a beer and tells him about his new job at la Buena Vida. Brandon's heard of it and knows the owner well. Emanuel Ruiz y de Teresa. Brandon thinks the place is a front for el Lirio de Plata. José M offers to keep hiseyes and ears open to suspicious activity for Brandon. "Who do you think is el Lirio de Plata, anyway?" Brandon tells him, " I don't have proof but am certain it is Emanuel Ruiz y de Teresa."

Ilitia comes clean with her mom, "You were right. The child I'm expecting is not Emanuel's. It's Brandon's.
A pouting Vicky is joined in her room by a hunky Lirio de Plato. I see she has maintained the Ruiz y de Teresa open door policy.

*José asks why Eman is the prime suspect. He tells him that Eman always seems to turn up at the scene of eLdP's crimes. Being the good cop that he is he pumps JM for information about eLdP. He tells Brandon that it was the name of a boat over twenty years ago. Brandon wants more but JM pleads ignorance. Brandon thinks the key may be why the boat was called el Lirio de Plata. José M thinks the more important question is why is a criminal now calling himself el Lirio de Plata? Brandon leaves without even taking the first sip of his beer. Cap'n Joe is apparently no mental giant, he wonders what it all must mean. Yep, that's Emanuel's daddy alright.

El Lirio de P wants to take Vicky someplace. Why not? She's trying to forget Emanuel, anyway. He promises that she'll be safe with him. Oh drat... she was hoping perhaps not.

*Muñeca suspected as much. Ilitia tells her that when Eman finds out hat she is five weeks along, he will suspect the truth. I'm not so sure. He doesn't strike me as being all that good with math. After all, he watched the ultrasound of a five week baby and never suspected anything amiss. I think she could pull this off. Muñeca tells Ilitia that she must tell Manny the truth.
*Delicia is abed and not feeling very well. Hasn't she learned by now that one must never eat anything prepared by Fedra?

Delicia is now asleep in her bed. The door opens and we see some familiar feet. Fedra has brought a guest. It's creepy Alfredo. Delicia's been drugged.

*Fedra tells Al to strip.

Ilitia is terrified that Emanuel will discover the truth. Muñeca tells her that the marriage is a shipwreck. Best to be truthful and move on. She reminds her that Brandon is the child's father and of how she felt when she discovered that Muñeca is not her birth mother. "You're right. I know what I have to do." ¿Que? Who is this girl and what has she done with our Ilitia?

How nice. Fedra has taken up photography and is taking snapshots of a gorked Delicia and a buff (and in the buff) Alfredo. This is low, even for you, Fedra. She has him bite her shoulder.

*OK, that' enough. She reaches into her blouse, pulls out a check and hands it to him. He'd like to stay on awhile. You creepy little ratbastard!

Meintras tanto, Leon has come by. Muñeca offers him a drink.

He's come by to invite Muñeca out for dinner. She declines. He understands, but by the way, what does she think about the ring he has brought for her?

Alfredo is alone with Delicia, but thank goodness an impatient Axel is home and is knocking at the door, "Delicia, what is happening? Open the door mi Amor." Creep Boy gets dressed.

Muñeca has already been married to a criminal. She doesn't want to go back down that road. Sorry Leon. Leon is truly smitten. He's ready to give himself up... turn his life around. Well that changes everything. Let's hear more.

*Brandon is freshly showered and strolling about the parlor chatting with his mom. She's worried about Doris. He reminds her that she spent two unsupervised years up north. That does not reassure Gladiola. Door's open, Ilitia glides in.

"Brandon, we need to talk."

El Lirio de Plata has brought Vicky to a hospital room where two boys are sleeping. They are at a convent that takes in orphans. These boys are sick and need help. He has brought her here to show her where the stolen money is going. She's impressed. The boys are glad to see him. El Lirio de Plata never forgets his friends and he has brought a garbage bag full of gifts for them to enjoy and share.

*Axel's in the kitchen complaining to Paula. He's worried about Dee... as well he might be. She reassures him telling him not to worry. Sure. She pats his cheek as

Axel runs into Alfredo as he comes out of... Delicia's room? (if you just watched the Univision version, that's the impression you'd have.) Actually he pops into the kitchen. Nevertheless, "What are you doing in my house, imbecile?"

Gladiola is not pleased. Ilitia says that it is urgent that she speak with Brandon. Brandon is none too pleased himself, but asks his mom to give them five minutes. Her tantrums (berrinches) don't take long. Gladiola tells him to cover himself up and reluctantly leaves them alone together.Ilitia wants to discuss the child that she is expecting.

A man of his word, Garduño calls Comisario Tejeda and tells him that he's ready to make a deal. "First thing tomorrow." Of course there are conditions, but Garduño thinks a judge will be interested. He's bringing names, dates, places... enough to dismantle the Organization. Tejeda is skeptical, but agrees. Muñeca is enthralled. Not only will she wait for him... she'll visit as often as allowed and will bring the Maratón board. OK, I added that last bit... but I'm sure she will.

He has another call to make. He calls Ordaz to tell him to prepare all the red book documents. He's going to turn himself in. Ordaz is not happy... and neither is Lorenzo who happens to be with the lawyer. Lorenzo says, "I told you so." He knows Muñeca. After all, he's been married to her for twenty years. Ordaz pomotes Lorenzo to Boss right then and there with only token reticence on Lo's part. He quickly takes charge, "Of course Gorduño's gotta die." Hey, that goes without saying.

Axel, poor dim child, still wants to know what Alfredo is doing in his house. "You've got two pretty sisters." Actually he came to help Kristel plan a fiesta at the club. Hey, works for me. Seems to work for Axel. Poor dim child.

Brandon, still wrapped in a towel around the waist (I wonder if he ever got around to exhaling while we were away?) asks Ilitia to leave. She still hasn't said what she came to say. He tells her to get to it then. Then, (and this surprised me) tearfully she tells him that she does not want this child. I. Am. Disappointed. In. Ilitia.

El Lirio de Claus distributes his gifts. He tells the boys that nobody should know that he's been here. The boys ask if Vicky is his novia. "I wish."

Part II, Hasta Nunca, Garduño... ¿Me Estás Siguiendo?
"No one who feels a love so special and so grand for the children can be criminal." Vicky beams with pride as el Lirio de Plata hands out gifts and bonds with the boys. I'm not so certain... Lorenzo appears to have boundless love for his children and yet he has just been promoted to Criminal # Uno. Nonetheless, it's refreshing to see Miss Bitterweed crack a wisp of a smile. The kid in the blue pajamas suggests that eLdP marry the pretty lady and take them to live with them. He gets an extra gift for this. Uh oh. The door opens and Ted Baxter pops in holding a flashlight. (I thought that he had died.) So much for our little secret visit. Ted calls for HELP!

Garduño is admiring the ring he bought for Muñeca when he is joined by the new Meester Big, Lo. Apparently the criminals don't lock their doors either. Julie, a nation is crying out for your lock franchise. Ordaz joins the party, "The two of us (los dos) have an important matter to straighten out (arreglar) with you." Garduño tells them that they are wasting their time if they think he can be persuaded to change his mind. Ordaz informs him that his associates are very unhappy with him and to emphasize the point goons with guns pour in from both sides. Garduño draws his own pistol and orders everyone out. It apparently not yet occurred to him that he is no longer Boss Baddy. Finally, Lo apprises him of the change in leadership. "You are history, Garduño."

Vicky's anxious to leave. ELdP suggests via the window. She wonders at his fixation with windows, but sure, "¡Vamonos!" The boys urge them to hurry but eLdP reassures them, "Don't worry, this isn't the first time that I've had to leave in a rush."

Garduño still doesn't see the big picture as he points out Lo's inadequacies for such a big job. He threatens to kill Lo, who urges him to go ahead, "Muñeca will never forgive you for killing the father of her children." "You just had to bring up Muñeca." Garduño is on the verge of tears. he hands over his pistol, "You want to direct the orchestra? Do it." Did this man not watch the Sopranos? Every single one of us knows what comes next. "Hasta nunca Leon Garduño." Lo plugs him right through the heart. He tells the goons to bring him Mauricio. He kneels and retrieves the ring from Garduño's lifeless hand.

*Jairo and Gretel have come to a club to have a beer. She's interested in becoming a journalist. He's interested in Gretel. Looks as though they are in La Buena Vida, but I'm not certain.

They get their beer. He moves in beside her and puts his arm around her. They sip the beer. Oliver arrives with Doris. Visual deathrays are exchanged across the room.

Brandon is still wrapped in a towel as he sits on the sofa and asks Ilitia why she doesn't want this baby. Before she can answer, her quickly acknowledges that he has nothing to do with the matter... it's between her and Eman. She pleads for him to listen to her.He tells her he's listening, but then complains about her choosing him to talk about such a thing because he's the cop, the gorilla, the brute, her garbage bin (bote de tu basura). "No, you're not a brute, Brandon, you're an idiot (tarado) and unfeeling. You don't know what's happening to me." He points out that she has everything that she ever wanted. She insists that she doesn't want this baby. "Don't say that. Life is sacred. It's not for you to decide if this baby is born or not." She tells him that it's her body and she doesn't want to have this baby." She storms out without telling him that he is the baby's father. I know that I shouldn't be surprised, but I honestly expected this one time, that she would tell him the whole truth of the matter.

*Emiliano and Tio Max commiserate over Eman's misfortune of having Ilitia get pregnant. Emiliano muses about how it's too bad that Manny's not in love with his wife, but he's not really sure who he loves because he's said that he was in love with Marianela and is now saying that he loves Victoria de la Garza. Flaunting TN rules, Max smugly gets right to the point. "Doesn't matter. She's the same woman." Your can almost picture Emiliano's little hamster struggling to provide sufficient power to process this. His face does a number of contortions, takes, and double takes. "Say what?"

Oliver complains that Doris drug him here to see this. She tells him that she had dated Jairo and though she never cared much for him, he always managed to steal a kiss. Gretel complains to Jairo of her disappointment in Oliver whom she thought was her perfect match. Jairo thinks that she should look elsewhere and to help head her in the right direction, kisses her forehead. Oliver goes beserk and leaves. Gretel whispers an unheard sad, "Goodbye, Oliver Rosales, para siempre." Yeah... sure... next!

*In la Mala Noche, la Reina de la Noche is announced. She dances in her new duds. As she does her chair dance, the newly crowned Meester Big oozes in leaving a slimy trail. Bernardo looks on... displeased.

*More Max and Emiliano. Emi thinks that it's unhealthy for Jorge to be hanging around since he's not Marianela's husband. He's also worried that she might kick them all out. Max doubts that. Max learns of Axel's wedding. In retrospect he should have followed his heart himself. He advises Emil to not lose Netty. He growls and snarls at the thought of Fedra.

La Reina de la Noche is in her dressing room with Bernardo. She has a new outfit... more revealing but even less flattering. Fedra, in the right clothes, you'd make a bulldog break his chain. However, for you sweetheart, less coverage is not necessarily better. Maybe you could learn a thing or two from Netty about dressing for work.

Bernardo's upset that Lorenzo is here. The Queen assures him that she did not invite him and has never even mentioned la Mala Noche to Lorenzo. They quarrel. Bernardo doesn't trust Lo. La Reina calls Bernardo a traitor. Fortunately Bernardo leaves as Lorenzo Menso enters. The two exchange pleasantries, each offering the other a free trip to Hell.

Vicky and eLdP must have found an open window because they're back in Vicky's room. Hey, she's smiling. She's glad that he took her along. She tells him that he's a lot like Emanuel. Well, duh! He wants to be her novio and lifts the mask to steal a kiss. I'm wondering why Mexico's mask makers don't make opening for the lips. Remember the trouble Furia Enmascarada (Gancho) had eating pozole with that mask on? With great timing Jorge arrives and is scandalized to see them kissing. He is clutching a dish to whack eLdP with, but thinks better of it, but he's really pithed.

Lo seems to have found out all about Juana Felipe Pérez. He tells her that her secret is safe, but she knows him better than that, "What do you want?" He reviews with her the ups and downs of their relationship over the years, '...including trying to kill each other, and here we are, no, we continue on together, Fedra, and our skin is much more sincere than all that could have said to each other." I'm lost with Fedra here... "¿Eh? What does our skin say? " He's just saying that they belong to each other and to seal the deal he offers her... the ring Garduño offered Muñeca. Classy. "you mean divorce Emiliano?" No need. That's Fedra Curiel. He's asking Juana Felipe Pérez to marry him. Say what?

Jorge jerks Vicky away from youknowho. They exchange insults. Vicky says that it's time for eLdP to go. He goes. A possessive Jorge asks Vicky if she's OK. Well he's miffed. First Brandon, now this guy... Jorge thought that he was next in the line of succession. It's not fair!

Dee's and Axel's wedding day. Gladiola is helping Letty convert the pension into a wedding chapel and they've done a darn good job. Doris is impressed. Maybe someday...

It'll happen she is assured with her all in white with a seven meter train. Gladiola adds that first she needs to give up on that guy. "You know whom I'm referring to." Andre, are your ears burning?

*Brandon is interviewing Ted at the convent, "With a woman you say?" The boys think she was his novia. Brandon takes a moment to explain to the boys that eLdP is no hero. Nopis, he's one of the bad guys. One of the boys remembers, "The lady's name is Victoria. Thanks, kid. Brandon muses aloud, "So Marianela was with him." "Victoria," Ted corrects. "Ummm, yeah, Victoria."

Delicia thanks Marianela for agreeing to be her madrina. Jorge offers his services as padrino. "Ummm, we' ve got some else in mind... thanks anyways, Jorge." The groom arrives with his sister, Gretel, and his dad, Emiliano. Emi clasps Netty's hands. She bats her eyelashes. Jorge is still concerned about the padrino and deflates when Emanuel enters and announces that he was chosen for that honor.

*Looks like Lo and Fedra have shared a nap on her red sofa. I wonder what would be revealed on that sofa under a UV light? She looks at his watch flees in a panic. .

Paula shows up. Oliver, too. Gretel asks why he hasn't brought one of his conquests. Axel, sensing trouble, asks her to cool it, at least for today. Netty thinks it's time for a toast.

*At la Buena Vida, Bernardo shows up . José Maria joins him for a drink. They chat, Fedra's hitman stands up and shoots at JM but Bernardo jumps up and takes a bullet in the arm for his Capitán.

Fedra is in a clothing shop and needs a knockout, in-your-face dress...now! She has a wedding to stop.

*Brandon arrives.

Here's the bride, all smiles, and a knockout smile. The service is underway.

Meintras tanto, Fedra is stuck in traffic.

*José Maria dresses Bernardo's wound. Bernardo warns JM against Fedra even as he defends her. JM wants to know what has become of the Bernardo he once knew. Then he accuses him of being in love with Fedra. We already knew that Cap'n... next!

Lots of intense meaningful glances. Emanuel and Marianela install the traditional lasso . Rings are exchanged.

Fedra's ready to explode. She abandons her car, telling the workmen to keep an eye on it (good luck with that), sets out on foot, and in one of the funniest visuals I've ever seen, drops out of sight over a precipice of an excavated sidewalk. The workman shrugs and delivers the best line of the episode, She fell! (¡Se cayó!)
En el nombre del Padre, del Hijo, y del Espiriyu Santo, los declaro marido y mujer."

Applausos. Beso. Fedra's here! She grabs a drink. She's got photos!

Double yikes!

But the kids are married.

Well, this has been an adventure. A technical glitch just as I was finishing delayed things for almost an hour. The little hamster is exhausted and has threatened to call the SPCA. A Pox on Univision. It's Millertime.

Comments:
I was going to wait until it was complete before I posted it, but with this new format, I had to see if it was going to work. The rest sometime later today.

Carlos

The format works! Didn't take me long to figure out what the asterisk and red text meant.

Cute hamster photos. Was that little hamster checking his email? Too cute!!!

Wow, Lorenzo transforms into mob boss. That was impressive.

Audrey

Couldn't wait for part II to say this format is fanstastic!! And that little hamster needs to become a part of the team. What a sweetie!

"A naco spermatozoan has found refuge in a supermodel ovum and even as we speak, a dark fetal poli is nestled safely in that warm pampered womb." Brilliant! (Oh, and add me to that list of those disappointed in Ilitia.)

Loved the little grape grab attempt with Eman and Benni. So cute...

Ok - anxiously awaiting Part II and a revisit from the hamster.

Love part one, can't wait for part two. Cute hamster! Great pics too.

What Daisy said, that was my favorite Carlosism.

I hate Alberto; what a waste of packaging.

I have faith in Ilitia. Just because she doesn't want the child doesn't mean she's going to do anything about it. (Right Ilitia? Ilitia?)

Carlos Carlos..."nobody does it better." You always have some new little twist to delight us. Love the hamster pics and the unkind (but accurate) remarks about Emanual's brainpower. And yes, he does take after his dim daddy Chema, although alleged papa Emiliano is pretty dim also.

Fedra likes the cut of Alfredo's jib...yes, she was definitely feeling out those jibs while propositioning him about the job.

"he's almost as impressed with her plans as he is with her cleavage" (Gretel) Too true. Tell it like a man, Carlos.

And oh, wicked fellow! wondering if Brandon has exhaled yet....Yes, he managed to suck in his belly and torture us with those six-packs while muttering a line or two. Not much though. Hard to talk when you're not breathing.

Great stuff, compadre. On with the show!

I love "but he's really pithed", hee!

Oh Lowrenzo you cleverly scary guy, marry Juana Felipa and her fortune will be yours, especially if she meets an early demise. This is getting fun.

I thought Gladiola looked pretty hot in her wedding attire. I guess she can turn off the frump when she wants to. Funny how all the star-crossed couples kept sniping at each other during the wedding. Although after seeing some ill-placed graffiti in the previews for Monday I shan't waste my time breathing a sigh of relief for our young newlyweds, darn it.

I howled when Fedra dropped off the sidewalk. Whoever thought to include that in the script should get a bonus. Pure brilliance.

Awesome recap Carlos, your double duty is hugely appreciated.

Hilarious pics of Jorge "pithed" and ready to hit el lirio with the pot. ROTFLOL!

Yeah - poor Jorge just doesn't understand that romance is not a "first-come first-served" situation!

Audrey

Audrey, Ihope you saw the picture of Lorenzo standing over Garduño's body. Shades of Tony Montana. He looks the part, but I'm afraid that I must defer to the late don Leon... he just doesn't quite have what it takes to pull it off. I'm sure Fedra will be impressed... that is until she learns that she is getting Muñeca's handmedowns in a number of ways.

daisynjay, I thought that Eman was keeping his grapes from Benigno. I'm afraid the little hamster is plotting revenge even though he has the rest of the weekend off. He too is pithed.

Sylvia, I almost fell out of my chair when Fedra fell off the sidewalk. That workman seemed completely surprised. "¡Se cayó!"I played that over and over. She has her own unique style. Grabbing a glass of wine before going into her routine. How Fedra of her.

Judy, this one almost got me. The pictures balked in Part II, and somehow, I ended up with various portions of the text repeated. Poor Gretel, both Alfredo and Jairo seemed distracted from her intellect. She seems to function much better as Manolo.

Carlos

Audrey, we posted at the same time. I admit to having just the slightest bit of sympathy for Jorge. Poor guy thinking, "My turn!"

No one has mentioned the assertion that Marinela (or is it Victoria) is pregnant. That was a certified swoon complete with fanning and hair stroking by Doris. Now, if she gags on Monday, well, there you are.

Carlos

Carlos, a terrific recap, thanks. The photos were icing on the cake.

"Pithed" is my new favorite word.

I am going to have nightmares about what might be on red sofa.

Poor Garduno, when he was finally getting is act together, Lo has the nerve to kill him. Just wait until Muneca see that ring on Fedra's finger, it is really going to hit the fan.

The hamster is a cutie, too bad my son didn't have one like it. We spent all of our time looking for the darn thing. How it ever got out of its cage so much is beyond me.

Rosemary

Carlos, not only do I agree that MarVicky is pregnant, it also occurred to me that Delicia might be pregnant when she said two cats were fighting in her stomach. Alas, it was likely Fedra's venomous vittles as I don't believe Axel and Delicia have done the deed.

Like you I did several rewinds on Fedra's slip off the sidewalk. The first time I almost missed it, the next few times were just for fun.

Another wonder Carlos. Only you could draw me away from basketball for a few moments. Loved the Ted Baxter reference. I wondered who he reminded me of! Right on. And "visual death rays are exchanged across the room". Great way of putting it.

So conflicted about this show. Hate the ugliness being foisted on Axel and Delicia. And hate that Garduño had to die. Though I presume he was redeemed by noble Muñeca love and has gone straight to the arms of Jesus. Still...do NOT like killings. And even worse, the planting of ugly unfounded suspicions in Axel's mind. Ugh ugh ugh!

On the other hand, I'm madly in love with the little hamster. Hope he will be a regular. And you used my favorite "Carloism"..."make a bulldog break his chains".

Wonderful. Just wonderful. Now back to basketball!

The best recap ever Carlos. Epic. The hamster delivered didn't he. Now the little guy can rest. Thanks for including the deleted scenes in red with an asterisk. (I have tried to watch on Daily Motion but have been having problems).

Mari swooned. I going to agree with you Carlos that that congress in the river at the hacienda has probably produced a mini Eman on the way.

I was very disappointed in Ilitia for not telling Brandon that she's having his baby and then telling him she doesn't want it.

I wish I had seen the grape grab scene.

Now the show has gone Sopranos on us (right after I wonder what other pop culture reference we'll see on this show LOL) with Lo now being the new Don. Too bad Garduño was killed right when he was going to turn his life around for Muneca.

That scene of Fedra falling into the manhole was epic and Fedra showing up after Axel and Delicia were declared man and wife all smeared and dirty. I have no words. Hope Axel doesn't fall for his mom’s dirty trick. What’s with all the rapey men on this show. You have Mau, then slimey Al trying to take advantage of a an unconscious Delicia, and Jorrible who drugged Mari, unclothed her, and climbed into bed with her. Yuke.

That's supposed to say yuck LOL. Typos.

Rosemary, I'm so glad that you enjoyed it. I thought that pithed might slip by unnoticed. AS a teen, I was a hamster rancher and I can verify that those little guys are very resourceful. Big Boy, my bull hamster once escaped and lived free for months. He'd return to the cage at night to eat, but was very elusive. Unfortunately, he established a residence in my mother's quilt closet. Well... as I said, they can be very resourceful.

Sylvia, I also thought that Dee might be pregnant until Fedra arrived with Creep Boy and camera in hand.

Judy, George Mason tomorrow. I'll be watching. Ky. played a bit better today. Texas A&M is out. Good luck!

Does anyone think that we're going to get our regular episodes back? We would have never known about Bernardo getting shot.

Carlos

Thanks Pirate Babe. Actually, yuke works. I was so impressed by Ilitia's resolve, "I know what I have to do." Then Brandon was absolutely no help with his macho variation on self-pity. Of course Brandon will ultimately be key because Eman just is not at all invested in Ilitia. I'm really going to miss Garduño. His respect and appreciation for Muñeca was so gallant.

Carlos

Br'er Carlos, it's an unmitigated pleasure to read one of your recaps once again! Now that LdA is in its ultimas semanas, I'm finally starting to enjoy it and actually stay awake.

Coupla thoughts tonight:

Fedra, the thinking man's slut. I have to believe that Azela Robinson is enjoying this role to no end. Loved seeing her fall in the pit and show up so symbolically filthy at the wedding.

Lorenzo as the new Don will be somewhat like re-writing the Godfather to have Fredo as the new Don Corleone. No puede ser.

In the real world, Emilia and I had a nice little outing up to the York River earlier to watch the "Super Moon" rise. And Kentucky won!

Feels good to be back, y'all.

Hey Mike, so glad to hear from you again.

I know this will sound horrible but Garduño had to go. He was a distraction for Muñeca. I have decided that she WILL end up with Fidel and the Don was in the way.

Pirate Babe, there are a couple of rapey women in this show too. Fedra was going to let the creep help himself to Delicia and Kristel was doing her best to have her way with an unwilling Oliver. Early on in the show Kristel and Ilitia were plotting to have Mauricio force himself on Marianela.

Wow Carlos! I have no idea what you were worried about earlier this week. You easily took the baton our lovely lady recappers had been passing with their marvelous two-for recaps, and exceeded expectations. I haven't even watched the episodes on dailymotion yet (I refuse to watch my butchered Uni recording), but I feel like I've watched them already with your detailed recap and wonderful pictures. The only thing I HAVE to see now is Fedra falling through that hole on the street. I had a good chuckle over your description and pics of that. I just still cannot believe that Azela did not win for best villainess this year! I have never see such a brazen, shameless, amoral, and FUNNY female villain in a tn.

Carlos...you AMAZE me! I have only been watching Llena peripherally, but am tuning in more and more (wowsers...this now makes THREE TN I am following!!). You have raised the bar when it comes to recapping, amigo. Here I have been thinking about giving it a one shot try at being a substitute recapper, but after seeing all of your incredible work here...oh no...I will think long and hard before I agree to it!

Those shots of Fedra dropping in that hole were too funny!

@Mike: Love your analogy re Lo and Fredo Corleone...absolutely perfecto!

Gracias, gracias, Carlos!!!

Susanita... who just had to comment on Carlos' excellent work on the recap. :))

Hi Susanita...well, we all feel like giving up when we read Carlos' recaps. He is the master. But please...yes, do consider being a sub. We need them. And it's fun. Challenging...but fun. And you will get plenty of support and appreciation. That's not so bad, is it?

How nifty is this? Mike has been resurrected and Susanita has joined us as well.

Mike, you can't imagine how happy it makes me having you back with us. First let me say that I hope you are enjoying your new eyes, aren't colors crisper, cleaner, and brighter? I hope you are taking advantage of this glorious Spring weather to get out on your hog and burn lots of gas with the wind in your face.

Fedra as the thinking man's slut. I like that. She is such a treat to watch. She has so many little Fedra touches that bring the character to life.

Susanita, you really flatter me. I'm so glad that you've joined in here. I love reading your comments over on TdA. This show is hilarious and very well acted. We love to complain about the peckishness and woodeness of the main character, Marianela/Victoria, but truthfully, I think she gives a necessary touch of bitterness to the recipe.

I certainly hope you will give recapping a shot. Your comments are always filled with such enthusiasm, good humor, and insight, that I think that you'll be a natural. I've not been at it for very long and just hope that I can manage to keep pace with our talented recappers here, Maggie, Julia, Judy, Sylvia, and more recently, Audrey, who amazed us with her talent filling in for Sylvia. Kris does fantastic recaps as well, but has been ambushed lately by real life.

Vivi, thanks. First of all, you HAVE to see Fedra fall off the face of the earth. That is one of the funniest scenes... ever.

I would love to see the villianess who beat out Fedra. That must have been some acting.

As for worrying... I used to fret about episodes with lousy or no CCs or double episodes. What they've done is even worse. With everyone else (thanks for starting that trend, Audrey) covering the omitted segments, well...

Sylvia, of course you are right... Muñeca does need to end up with Fidel, but Garduño was sort of a plushdoll mafioso. I'll miss him.

Carlos

Could not get to part 2 until this afternoon, but oh, what an enjoyable way to relax for a few minutes. I'm trying to remember if I laughed as hard at the show as I did your amazing recap. I bow to our little Hamster.

" but he's really pithed." Now that will stick with me all week and I'll be cracking up every time Jorge gets on screen. MV should be trying to rev up her few brain cells that are whining and pay attention to Jorge getting so "pithy". (I am soooooo using that word from now on!)

Disappointed in Ilitia - Does she not want the baby simply because it isn't Eman's. Too shallow for me - just wanted a ploy to keep said stud. Not cool. So will this foretell that she won't have to worry about the little bambino soon?

MV as a mother scares the bageebies out of me. She hooks up with Eman, I can tell you who will be the real nurturing parent in that family.

Well, a well-deserved rest for both our recapper and his little pal. Can't tell you what wonderful fun this was reading. ( My son also loved the whole thing and he doesn't watch the show - he thought you were a writer for a profession it was so cleverly done.)

daisynjay, I'm so glad you got back for Part II. I think that Ilitia will finally realize that Brandon was the right one all along. She certainly still has lots of the Ilitia that we first met still clinging tenaciously to her. Her transformation has been both painful and reluctant but fortunately we've gotten glimpses of the Ilitia that could be.

Like you, I'm having a difficult time picturing Marimom. Even with those appealing boys at the convent, she seemed more interested eLdP's affection for the boys than in the boys themselves. Even Kristel got up close and affectionate with Cristian.

Carlos

Have to give credit to JudyB. She already started including the omitted sections before I did. (And I only included what I thought was a key omission). I may have been the first to notice the doubling up - but that was it.

On Ilitia not wanting the kid. She REALLY REALLY tried to tell Brandon that it was his kid. But she kept getting run over with snide and disparaging comments from Brandon. I think that's why she decided she doesn't want the kid because she now thinks no way Brandon will accept it. I don't usually defend Ilitia!

Audrey

Audrey, thanks for correcting me. I remember you pointing out the combining of episodes and I think that Vivi also pointed out that we might not be getting shown complete episodes anymore.

I've been a huge Ilitia fan from the beginning and was very disappointed, but I think that you are exactly right that she fully intended to tell Brandon the truth. I wanted to smack him upside the head for not seeing how distressed she really was. Even when he said that he would listen, he went into another rant about her selfishness.

Vivi, I watched the first couple of episodes of PVaA and was underwhelmed. The CCs were terrible. The juxtaposition of what might have happened with what did was distracting and confusing. None of the characters were very endearing. It begins here at 11:00 PM. And worst of all, there are no recaps.

Have you been watching it? Has it gotten better? It looks like all my shows... LldA, India, and even TdA (if they continue showing 2 hrs./night) will be ending soon. Maybe I can develop some self-discipline and limit myself to just one or two at most. Both of the new shows previewing look to be good.

Carlos

Is MV really pregnant or is Fedra up to her old tricks? MV did dive into the chocolates again.

Rosemary

I think MV is for sure pregnant because right before her dizzy spell she said she wished SHE was the one having Eman's baby. And just like that, the Pregnancy Genie did his work. Too bad for Ilitia that he doesn't work in reverse...

OT: Carlos- On PVaA, I'm not a cc user, so that doesn't bug me. I admit that only one of the husbands is likeable (Rene Steckler), but what I really like is how this group of very different women is being brought together to become independent and start their own business together. There's a huge girl power message, and a message about women sticking together and helping each other. I thinks that's why it's appealing. But other than the one marriage of the main couple, the others are really difficult to watch because of the abuse and dysfunction, and the pure jerkiness of the men. I can also see how the inner thoughts moments can be jarring and hard to follow, but I like them. I can for sure see that this show is not for everyone, and so far it's pretty depressing, but I am really enjoying the acting and the possibilities that are starting to come together as the women begin to work together.

Continuing off topic: Julia, I just watched a couple of this past week's Nina de mi Corazon episodes. I have a few questions. How is Andrea managing to work at the two different businesses? Is one during the day and one at night, or some other arrangement? How does Andrea get long hair when she has already cut it off to be Andres?

He shoots, he scores!! Way to go, Carlos. (and hamster...)

I roared when Fedra fell into the manhole, or whatever it was. She is one of the best comic actresses ever. So deliciously evil.

I was hoping Garduno would shoot Lorenzo - heck Garduno was going to die anyway, taking Lo with him would have been nice. Not good for the storyline perhaps, but oh, so satisfying.

I too hope that Axel remembers what his mother is capable of and doesn't blame Delicia.

And, yes, Gretel does operate better as Manolo. Maybe more counseling is in order. Love Oliver as Lady Jello.

Carlos, this is an absolute jewel of a recap, wonderfully written, deliciously funny, and you selected terrific photos from the show for us. Not only that, but there were hamster photos, and what is more irresistible than a hamster? When I was young I had rats, guinea pigs and hamsters, and while I thought rats made the best pets due to their brains and personality, hamsters claimed the crown for cuteness.

You had so many funny bits: visual deathrays, Ted Baxter, Miss Bitterweed, naco dorm, really pithed, etc., etc.

Mike – Azela (Fedra) said in an interview that this part was very challenging for her, as she’d never done one before that mixed evil and comedy. Of course, I think she’s hit it out of the park. The thinking man’s slut indeed!

Garduno was so doomed – what a fool to call his lawyer and tell him basically that he was going to rat everyone out. Way to put yourself in the crosshairs, buddy. He should’ve known better, and how could he be so dense about why Lorenzo and Mauricio showed up?

I can’t believe they left out Bernardo’s being shot. I notice they have time to do an overlap scene at the beginning. Why waste time of that?

can someone please tell me where i can see the full version of llena de amor

Emilia, as much as I liked Garduño, I think the prospect of Lorenzo as a crimelord has potential for lots of fun. It's going to be fun to see how Mauricio takes the news of Lo's promotion.

I remember Axel thinking that Delicia had been with Bernardo... he did not handle that gracefully, so I don't have a lot of hope. Delicia is simply too sweet for this to be happening to her.

Maggie, I don't think I've ever seen Azela Robinson do comedy before. I do remember her as the evil Apolonia (strong hints of incest) in Contra Viento y Marea. She was chilling and unsettling. Much of the time she spent in a revealing white bathing suit. She pretty much dominated that show.

I've thought the same thing. If they are going to compress, at least leave out the stuff that we've already seen.

Vivi, I'm glad you're enjoying PVaA. I really have a warm spot for Rene Strickler because he was in Ramona... my first TN. Some of the other actors are appealing, but from your description, I think I made the right decision. I really did not like that guy who beat on his wife. I really liked her and was already wanting her to kill (OK, maybe just dump) him in the first episode.

Judy, congratulations to OSU... that was too easy. I don't envy Ky.

Carlos

Anon, Google either darkiller llena de amor capitulo (put in the episode #) or noseq llena de amor capitulo (#)
and then click on it. When I use either one I often get diverted to another page but have found that if I cut the URL (http// (whatever) then reinsert it (paste) it generally then works for me. Good luck!

Carlos

@Anonymous...you can find the full episodes on www.noseq.com or on dailymotion.

Carlos...remember, George Mason had their star player sick in the locker room. And ordinarily David Lighty (whom I adore) does not make that number of 3's. But it sure was nice to watch if you were an Ohio State fan.

Carlos, thank you so much for your great recap and those hamster pictures. I also had a hamster briefly when I was younger and those pics so captured the cuteness of those creatures (who do often escape).

I share your concern regarding Axel. If Dee has to go through verbal/emotional abuse, I'll be vex and sad.

I know Garduño had to die but he was so enthralled with Muñeca; it was nice to see her appreciated by a man. Also his efforts to really change were touching. While I want her with Fidel, if she could have a twin in an alternate universe I wish she could be with our reformed hoodlum.

Carlos: no, my friend...you flatter me! I so very much appreciate your kind words and support! I just know that my first re-cap would be so SIMPLE relative to yours and Vivi's, NovelaMaven and all of the other talented recappers. However, I'd have to start somewhere, so maybe everyone would bear with me.

I just love 'pithed'! PERFECTO! That one is going to stay with us for life!

I go crackers with MariVicky...I'm amazed that Eman has stuck around this long.

I'd really like to know...who beat out the Fedra character for best female villain? Oh wait...I think that list of winners is somewhere on the TdA threads. I think Aribeth provided it for us.

Just love, love your recaps dear Carlos!

Thank you again for your support. :))

Susanita

Thanks Karen, I think we all feel protective of Axel and Delicia, especially Delicia. She has such a sweet, innocent, vibrancy. Maybe Axel will make us proud, but I'm afraid that he is going to think the worst. If you recall, in one of the pictures he even held her eyes open so it's going to be difficult to convince him that she was unaware of what was going on.

I still marvel at Garduños ingenuousness. Surely he didn't get to be the boss by being naive. I guess he overestimated the loyalty of those working for him.

Susanita, I hope you'll be a regular commenter here. This show is such a treat. Somehow they have managed to meld extreme evil with hilarity. I'm looking forward to reading your first recap... I'm certain that you'll br great at it.

Carlos

Carlos: Your best recap to date. An enthralling, witty, exceptional masterpiece. Your pictures and embedded vocabulary were excellent and of course, the hamster - delightful. I suggest he be of LdA mascot and look forward to future guest appearances.

There were so many clever lines. My favorites were "Miss Bitterweed", "visual deathrays" and "less coverage is not necessarily better" :)

"I. Am. Disappointed. In. Ilitia." Oh Carlos, I am as well! I'm hoping she changes her mind...

Poor Garduño - redemption, but too late.

The Delicia situation is just too depressing for words...Although I am with everyone else in that Fedra falling down the manhole was hysterical and one of the few light moments of the night.

Carlos, thank you for starting my Monday off so happily! You were in your element - I enjoyed every word, every picture - thank you!

Diana

@Daisynjay (off topic)...So sorry about the Purdue loss. That was not the Purdue team we saw most of the season. People have really been beating up on Jajuan Johnson. Wish he could have bulked up a bit so they wouldn't wear him down but he's just meant to be thin as a whippet.

@Emilia and Mike...John Calipari had fightin' words this morning in the Dispatch. Said he'd rather go with talent than experience and he's got more talent than OSU. Mercy, I hope he's wrong but you guys do look good.

Good Morning Diana and Judy,

Diana, your always say such nice things. I imagine everyone who watched this episode is still laughing about Fedra dropping from sight. Think what you will about Fedra, she manages to stay focused.

A scene that I really didn't do justice to was that between Max and Emiliano. Emiliano's reaction to learning that Mari and Vicky are one and the same was so funny. He made some wonderfully goofy and astonished faces.

Judy, the Girlybears played well in beating Prarieview A&M and the Lady Aggies of Texas A&M also played extremely well. I hope our ladies of the Brazos will face each other for a spot in the Final Four. That will be a game to watch.

Carlos

I will definitely be rooting for the Girly Bears and Miss Brittney Carlos. As long as they don't play the OSU women. We're facing George Tech tonight and evidently they're very good at disrupting team's flow and strategy. Will be keeping my fingers crossed.

I am late to the party but Carlos I agree with everyone how great your recap was. It is an Instant classic. From the highlights of the missing scenes to pictures of your furry cohort. I was laughing out loud throughout.

"but he's really pithed", perfect. I now have a new word to use; here in Boston one of our favorite sayings when we were kids was Wicked Pissa! Wicked Pitha sounds more fun.

As like everyone else loved Fedra going down the hole, but wh came back up & that was a bummer. Feel very sorry for Dee, she looked so beautiful on her day but Mommy Dearest is going to ruin her night.

since TdA is going back to an hour I am praying that the Telenovela Gods have heard us & will take the scissors out of Univisions hands.

Carlos, this was just brilliant. The hamster pictures are fantastic. My sister was here visiting and I read some parts of your recap to her and she thought they were hilarious, too, even though she has no idea what's going on in the show. "Pithed" is a real gem.

Poor Axel, his delicate little mind does tend to short circuit at the mere suggestion of Delicia's involvement with another man, although if he could cool down long enough to think about it for two seconds, he'd realize it's a setup. I mean, BERNARDO?! Ugh pitooey. No way. And Alfredo? Yeah, no. The mere fact that it's Fedra trying to accuse Delicia should clue Axel in, but probably won't.

I'm not too sad that Garduño's gone. He wasn't really redeemable, not with the murders he's been responsible for. I'm glad he got Muñeca her divorce and treated her decently but that was long enough for her to be stuck with him; she can do better. On to Fidel! Besides, I think the local mob will start to fall apart faster without Garduño to keep things under control. Low and Mauricio? They'll self-destruct even if Brandon is hopeless as a detective.

Vivi, I think Andrea works at the law office as herself in the mornings, and at the multimedia business later in the day as Andres. Dario also works at both places, of course, so it's not like he's at the law office the entire day expecting his secretary to be there. Sometimes she seems to go back and forth between personas more than that, as necessary.

She had the hair she cut off made into a hairpiece that she clips in to go back to long-haired Andrea, which is why you never see Andrea with loose hair; it's always pulled back.

Some one may have already mentioned this, but not only did I laugh out loud when Fedra fell, (an excellent addition to the script, as someone said before me), but I laughed even harder when she showed up at the wedding. As she bends down to get the photos out of her purse, you can see that the dirt is very clearly in the shape of dirty hand prints all over her derriere. Look at Emil's face when that happens. Hilarious. Love those little details.

Maureen, I hope they do go back to leaving the episodes intact. I understand spoken Spanish, but my hearing has diminished over the years for a number of reasons but mostly because of the number of years, so I watch TV (Spanish and English) with CCs. Therefore, I would prefer 2hrs./night to this compression of 2 shows into 1 hr.

As I mentioned earlier, I thought that pithed would slip by without much notice. Of course it does sort of match Jorge's personality as well as his manner of speaking.

Julia, Of course you are right that Garduño had to die, but I hadn't pondered the fact the he was necessary to get Lorenzo to divorce Muñeca so he was disposable, wasn't he?

I have a special fondness for the little hamster because Ximena (Gancho) would often fret that her little hamster was running as fast as he could.

Anon, thanks. I didn't notice that detail but it confirms the great deal of care that has been taken to make this show as funny to watch as it is. Also another reason to tune in to Caray Caray so we can share these observations with each other.

Carlos

Anyone know the name of the actor who plays Alfredo?

I believe his name is Ricardo Franco.
