Triunfo del Amor #156 6/28/11 The Bare Bones edition
- Vic still wants to be there for her hija.
- Her hija still wants to be alone to think, cry and tilt her head.
- Os tells Heri that he won't stand between he and Vic...'cause Os really loves her and when you really love someone you sacrifice. (This plan has worked well, Os?)
- They throw us PJP bone. He finds out about the boda and tells Jer he's going to see Maria...but he doesn't make it there in this episode. In fact, it's the last we see of PJP tonight.
- Burnie wants a copy of DVD from Gui. Gui says she can have the edited version. He'll keep the unedited one for security.
- Pip, Toni, Oscar, Fab, Luci, Millie and Vecindad gossip and conjecture. Everyone wants to know what will happen with Max and Maria. No, they aren't all together. We had two separated scenes taking place in the office and vecindad. I streamlined. You should too. FF>>
- Pips eyeglasses consist of bug eyes and each ear thingy is a fish-net clad leg. It looks weird.
- Fer packs. Cruz begs. She loves him, but they have to separate.
- Gui monologues about money and theatre.
- Burnie wants to visit Maria. We are treated to Burnie as religious tableau vivant.
- Gui and Leo talk theater. He tempts her with booze.
- Joel asks Millie to marry him. She says no, breaks up and says she loves another. Later Napo debates whether to make his move while the Jarochas convince Joel to come dancing with them at California Club. Again, I streamlined. FF>>
- As Heri ruminates on Os's gallant gesture, Leo arrives. She is at least 1 3/4 sheets to the wind.
- Fer and Max talk. She wants a baby. Max can't believe she's back home. blah blah.
- Leo drinks coffee with Heri. He yells and asks how she can stand herself this way: pathetic and all.
- Fausto is visited by the Obispo. When he pays his debt he can be a priest. Have faith. blah blah FF>>
- Burnie is watching the kidnap movie. She's got more ammo to sink Vic.
- Pip and Toni talk about winning bienal and getting back on top FF>>
- Max and Fab talk. Max wants to take Maria on a trip. They discuss the fact that Xi is still BSC and is still a threat. (Foreshadowing?)
- Burnie has gone to visit Maria and feeds her a bunch of lies. She would have paid the ransom. I'm your family. Vic paints herself to be a victim. She probably told you she gave birth alone in some garden. Don't let her deceive you. She tells Maria "You are my blood, the daughter of my son Juan Pablo. You are an Iturbide!" She will take care of Maria and her bebe feliz if Maria will never see Vic again.
- Maria doesn't know who to believe. She's gonna go see Max.
- Gui has a press conference. He's asked about the ownership of the theater and the rumors that he backstabbed Osvaldo Sandoval to get it. He smooths things over.
- At the same time Osvaldo is on the phone with Oscar talking legal stuff I didn't catch. Injunction maybe?
- Vic fusses at Max about Operation Alonso. She tells Max to make Maria happy. Maria overhears and wants to know why Vic is asking Max to make her (Maria) happy. Shouldn't this be good news, Maria?
- Max assures Vic that nothing will keep he and Maria apart again.
- Cruz serenades Fer. They smooch...they make the luvin'. They've barely finished and Fer calls Dr. Voice and asks to be operated on....TOMORROW!
- Opening night of Othello. I gather that due to some legal wrangling from Os the theater is now being closed. Gui assures the gathered crowd of patrons that they will get a refund on their tickets.
- Max and Maria make the smoochies and the luvin'

"Burnie as religious tableau vivant" was my fave moment, for some reason. Maybe it was a perfect depiction of Burnie's attitude throughout and a foreshadow of how pride goeth before a fall. We're waiting for that.

So what happened with Alonso? Did he really just disappear? Or did he do a Harry Potter and apparate to another TN? QTH -- did anyone mention him?
I had a great belly laugh during the 2nd or 3rd segment when Victoria went to the office. It looks like the hairstylist had a rough time recreating her Barbarella bouffant for this taping. Hilarious, nearly lost my cookies. Oh goodness.
It's time to put this TN out of our misery.

If Maria has any brain cells at all shouldn't she be asking herself how the hell Grannie Dearest knows the story of her birth? Victoria certainly wouldn't have told her and Maria knows the hatred between the two of them very well. Since she flashed back to Victoria's telling of the story I would have written it as Maria going to see her to ask whether she had ever told Bernarda. Both would then have the lightbulb moment that the only way Bernarda could know is to have been there. Which would have been why they were blindfolded.
Possession of the DVD of the kidnapping will be a piece of evidence to hang Bernarda on if she gets arrested before Divine Justice can deal with her.
Bernarda playing with the rope suggests that she will make one more attempt on Victoria's or Maria's life. If Victoria is the intended victim Osvaldo will put on the Superman outfit and fly to the rescue with JP right behind him. If Maria is the victim it will be Max.
It makes no sense whatsoever for Guillermo to encourage Leonela to drink if he intends for his production of Otello to be successful.
Finally, what kind of a professor is Joel for disembowelling a volume of Shakespeare? I'm not a teacher and I consider that to be sacrilege.
The jarocha(?) at Millie's, wearing the B&W sun dress, is a good PSA about women of a certain age making questionable fashion choices. She needs a good push-up bra or a higher neckline. My eyes kept getting drawn to the flat .....
The Max/Maria luv scene seemed chopped up because the music sounded like it had been run thru the vegematic; it was chopped, diced & spliced. We must have gotten the U.S.A. PG-13 version.
I have a very bad feeling that Leonela will never achieve sobriety. She doesn't seem to be taking it seriously.

Uni always chops up the love scenes it's not even worth watching it on TV anymore you have to find the episode on online to get to see the unedited scene. But we get to see LindaHo's butt cheeks and crack for almost twenty minutes though that's not offensive or sexual in any way right?
If it's 176 episode this won't end in two weeks say in about over three weeks. Because this Friday will get us to episode 163 and next Friday 168 that's 8 more episodes left after that so it's more than three weeks. Maybe they might go back to showing two episodes to end it already.

LOL.
And thanks for picking up another of our 'martes desamparados' so no one is left without a TdA fix.

Excellent point. I hope it DOES play out that way. I couldn't take another "Bernie Bamboozles María with Her Creepy Lying Ways" plot meander.
"...and tilt her head." Hah!
As for Bernarda...as much as I adore Daniela Romo...gah. Are we at least going to get lucky and see the Iturbide Browlifter 5000 get impaled by a church spire in the final episode, or crushed by a large religious icon, or melted and then blown up when Padre Jer shows up with the Ark of the Covenant?
The last two episodes have been flat and boring. It's like everyone is just sleep walking. i can't believe this close to the end they aren't giving us cliff hanger moments to keep us involved. I certainly hope Thursday's episode is a good one since we will have four days to dissect it.
Burnie is clever but too clever for her own good by telling Maria something she could not have known. Then again Maria is such an air head she won't think about it for more than a nano second. I didn't get her running away after eavesdropping on Max and Vic. It is as if she can't stand hearing nice things anymore than she can the nasty.
I am keeping my fingers crossed that PJP or someone with an ounce of sense finds that damning CD and busts Burnie.
All I can say is please God no more Cruz bursting into song. I find myself actually cringing when he hits those clinkers which he can reliably be counted on to do.
Gui impressed me. Who else could mount a full scale production of Otelo in a matter of days. I was actually hoping we would get a few minutes of him and Leo murdering the Bard.
All excellent ideas, considering that she was burned by handling the crucifix Victoria gave to JP. I wonder whether all the talk of fire is counter-foreshadowing.
Villains are usually punished differently in remakes. For the benefit of those who didn't see EPDA I won't say how this happened except that there is room for improvement on Bernarda although I would be hard-pressed to think of better ones for Gui and Xi.
As to someone finding the DVD and busting Dona Dementa, I'm wondering whether Xi and Rox will find it and attempt to blackmail her.
Gracias Sara, bare bones is more than this basura deserves.
I remember that horrible duet between Yanez and Salinas and just thinking about is making my ears hurt again.
¡Que horrible!!!!!
This sounds fine: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fvQ3bjG6PwY
Meh-jía, Abud & Co. should be punished as severely as Burnie would wish, for tormenting Viewerville.
I sncerely hope the actors in this tontería are wearing their telenovela beanie hats, for their own sakes.
That said, Mejia didn't hurt FC, but he wasn't very good back then. I guess exposure is the thing.
Guillermo Gárcia Cantú who was so good in that other piece of Mejia crap FELS, is not very good in this.
I agree, even the good ones should all fall into a volcano, with sth worse for the bad ones & even sth even worse than that for Mejia.
