Triunfo del Amor #147 6/14/11Burnie Goes Behind Bars and Maria Learns That Dear Old Lovable Grandma Is a Killer
Labels: triunfo
I want to know which hairspray Burn-arda uses! She survives a near fatal fire, rescue, oxygen tubes, yet not a single hair out of place.
The women's prison guard lady with the baseball hat looked like she was channeling Eileen Brennan's Capt Doreen Lewis from "Private Benjamin", right down to mannerisms and everything.
Personally, I would love to see the jailbirds take out Burnarda.
I hope Dr. Voice and Leonela are a couple by the end of this 'novela.
Even half paying attention I can't think of anything really new that happened in the plot. Let me think...
*Some talk about Fer's surgery/having kids
*Maria won't forgive Vic
*Maria is a little iffy about Operation Alonso
*Maria can't believe her granny is a murderer.
*Xi and Gui did the slimy dance of lust.
Doris, LMAO about hairspray.
What? No oxygen mask after suffering smoke inhalation? Just those little thinggies in the nose? Oh, I forgot, she has a few significant lines to deliver and it would be hard to do it through the mask.
Off to class. Be back later.
NOK
They don't even ck her out at the hospital before carting her off to la carcel.
The companeros de la carcel better not mess with Bernarda. Got to admire her guts, she's an asesina, what did they do, a little prostitution maybe?
I'm working on a borrowed computer, so sorry, no accents.
When Maria's place burned they didn't give oxygen either. Good grief, the bomberos even have the masks for animals.
The only slaps I remember are the real smack downs Bernarda delivered.
Maria only had a few Desamparadas last night. Fernanda called her Maria. I agree about Livia Brito, great future for her. She cries very believably.
Word ver
retchr, I think that says it all about this TN
I am surprised she survived the fire unscathed but I'm sure the jailbirds will turn on her when they hear she dissed her son, the priest. Who saved her life.
If Maria's brain cells ever kick in he will be very shocked at what her parents could tell her about her Grannie Dearest. But she also needs to hear that she kidnapped baby JP and only Alonso knows that.
Audrey
-- First-degree murder by way of arson (Gonzalo and Rosalia)
-- Attempted murder of Fausto (this may not be his real name)
-- Second-degree murder of Octavio
-- Attempted murder of Victoria and Maria (19 years ago)
-- Second-degree murder or Criminally Negligent Homicide (Tomasa)
-- Illegal disposal of a dead body (Tomasa)*
-- Attempted murder of Maria and unborn child (arson)*
-- Second-degree murder of the Mother Superior
-- Murder for hire (Attempted murder of Fernanda, murder of Federico)*
-- Attempted murder of Max and baby Osvaldo*
-- Kidnapping of baby JP*
-- Murder for hire (of Padre Jeronimo, resulting in stabbing of JP)*
-- Murder of el Alacran (I'd give her a pass on this one)
She'll definitely burn in hell for this list.
*Accomplices involved.
At this point I am wondering whether JP knows this whole list. If the jailbirds knew it, they'd finish her off.
I would say dear old murdering granny should be locked up for the rest of her life but the sticker is like she keeps saying there is no proof.
LOL LOL LOL @ Burnie being "The Baddest B!tc#" from the first moment she stepped into the jail.
Sad for Padre JP, though. She automatically assumed he called the po-po on her.
I fear for Leonela.
Where is baby Osvaldo?
Obviously Bernie is trying out for Alpha Bitch of the Cell Block. I guess she developed those thunderous slaps of herS by practicing on the help and her son. I also laughed at how perfectly tailored her prison uniform was.
Looks like Cantu is bringing the crazy with Gui. Anyone remember how looney he turned out in La Madrasta? He was one of the gang of Orange. I am assuming he followed The Voice and Leo to the restaurant where he sat glaring in the background but how in the heck did he pick the place where crazy Xi was. With all the places in the DF he just zaps on the the right one. At least we were spared another bath scene.
I was actually surprised when The Voice told Vic they would have to talk to a gyno since he seems to always have every medical specialty going. And I thought I remember him giving Fer advice on the subject a week or so ago.
Totally agree about Livia. She has a bright future and I wouldn't be surprised to see her move into Maite's parts since she has apparently said she is not going to make any more novelas.
From the previews tonight it looks like it could be titled Padre JP and his two harpies. Perhaps, for once, the three of them can sit down and have a conversation with the truth in it instead of hate and recrimination on one side and pious bull pucky on the other.
=========================
Doris: "channeling Eileen Brennan's Capt Doreen Lewis from "Private Benjamin", right down to mannerisms and everything." Darn tootin! I couldn't remember who the gal reminded me of! LOL!
-- Fer's car can be examined (if it wasn't) for evidence of tampering
-- Alonso can testify to the kidnapping (if he lives long enough) although they'd probably have to find the woman
-- Fausto can testify about Tomasa's body (the jury would have to make the leap of faith -- so to speak -- that Bernarda killed her)
Finally, a clever prosecutor (like CE was the defense counsel in ENDA) could trick Bernarda into a blasphemous confession on the witness stand. The general public now knows she is an excommunicant and this would answer the why-question.
"Redrum" LOL THAT movie creeped me out.
I never noticed, before last night, how ginormous that crucifix is over Bernie's bed. Sheesh…. that's bigger than some in Catholic churches.
…"mindless minks", indeed.! That's exactly what I was thinking, too.
UA - Bernie is sort of guilty of Padilla's son's death because she hired them to kill Fer, IIRC. They were supposed to kill someone, but I think scussy tatto rat boy was in the wrong place at the wrong time, or the thugs sabotaged the wrong car. Still..... it all started with Bernarda. That blood is on her hands.
I have to ask does this mean that PJP loves his dear murdering old mama more than he loves his hija? Remember when Bernie had her bumbling arsonists set Maria's place on fire all PJP did was stand on the sidewalk and pray after the head firefighter said he couldn't go in. Hoping and praying for a miracle to save his hija.
But for Bernie he rushes into the burning house to save his mama makes you think hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm! Doesn't it?
both babies are totally MIA!
"blocked from entering his mama’s burning abode by the seemingly forever bungling, bumbling bomberos [firemen -- as opposed to keystone cops]"
Indeed. For all its lip service to the bravery of firefighters, this novela keeps portraying these guys as clowns who stand back, protective gear in place, while a civilian -- here, a priest in a cheap polyester suit -- braves the flames to make the heroic rescue. (Twice before it was Max who stole their thunder, once to rescue Nati from the bridge and once to rescue María from the vecindad.) The only time a bombero got to be the hero was when Cruz rescued Fer at the car crash site -- apparently only stars can rescue stars.
"(I say malarkey and enough with the shallow philosophizing! Get on with the show!)"
Yes indeed.
Bernarda does not disappoint. I hope tonight we see all those pecadoras in the jail with her on their knees praying for forgiveness beneath that stern crazy gaze. Now if the guard will just bring her a dainty crystal glass of fine sherry...
Carlos
Easy to find people in DF, small town
ya know
1 restaurant
1 bar
1 fire dept
most important of all, NO traffic & everyone lives close to each other, the rich & the poor. You can be anywhere in a Mejia momento.
The veteran actors don't seem to have a problem acting in a piece of crap. Diana Bracho & Guillermo Garcia Cantu in FELS. I have no doubt Romo will win for this one.
OK, Pequena Maria remembers the doll, why not Mama, she looks the same.
Burnie is going to pull a Charles Colson, I'm sure, Carlos!
NovelaMaven: ITSA!
Sara: It's the little things..... LOL!
Variopinta: I'm still giggling over "retchr".
I watched this episode online. Online, they were advertising the lúltimas semanas.
