Alborada, 7/8/2011. Cap. 28.
On YouTube, haguilar78's clips for Cap 28 start at this link.
Thank you, Carlos, for today's screenshot.
Red, the blood of angry men. Black, the dark of ages past.
Labels: Alborada
i can only take hipolita's hiccuppy cry for so long.
and yes, Maria Rojo is a great actress with a great character here.
Oh boy, when it rains it pours. Luis sure has his hands full now. Mine negotiations, kidnappings, unruly family members. Oh, and his lies just waiting to explode.
Susanlynn I forgot about that part in the bloopers. I think I will have to rewatch them.
Variopinta, that's a good question about Juana and Modesta. I wonder about their background as well.
Fantastic screen shot today! Ooh la la, a hottie hothead. And lyrics from Les Miserables to go along with it. That's absolutely perfect. Thanks y'all for the post, recap and picture.
Es que... I'm lousy at inventing titles. Really lousy. I think and think, but nothing comes. That's why most of these pages have been title-less. BUT sometimes when I least expect it, a title will fall from the sky, into my head, when I'm not even looking for it, and it's perfect! On those rare days, I post the title.
That was the case with the caption for today's picture, from Les Mis. I was looking at Carlos's screenshot, and that song popped into my head.
I did not care for the attempted gang rape! I left the room needless to say.
Maria Rojo is also a favorite of mine, I had forgotten that she was in this TN.

Why is Asuncion always so quick to think the worst of Hip? I am barely ok with her letting Francisco think that Hip put the horns on her husband, when I think it's been explained to her that husband was in on the plan with his mother to put the stranger into her bed. I'll let her off on that one because she's so scared of hubby she doesn't want to say anything that seems like disagreement. But then she's telling Cata that she thinks Hip knew all along that Luis was the one, and had some plan with him! She really sucks as a mother. I hope she redeems herself somehow by the end because I am not feeling my pity or empathy for her right now.
As we see more of Marcos, I'm enjoying his character more. In the DVD he seemed much more bland. Paula, in the cast of characters you posted for us, it says he is an orphan. Have we heard any detail about this? How did his sister manage?
I felt very sorry for Ada. She was really devastated.
If Juana had any feeling ( yeah, right) for her "grandson", she would have taken Ada with Raphael to the palace. Raphael is now surrounded by strangers; but he does seem remarkably resilient.
Vivi, I agree. It's very aggravating that Asuncion always seems to think the worst of Hipolita even though she has been shown wrong several times. Why does she do that? Grrrrrr.
Susanlynn, your fantasy about telling Luis what to do with his hair (and when) mirrored mine! I didn't put it into words but I was thinking it. LOL!
It starts when Luis has just returned to the palace from his trip to Spain--stopping first in Panama.
Tia Isabel greets him outside and they walk into the Palace together.
TI>> And how many hearts did you break [sp. rompiste]?
LM>> None, I can assure you, but when I was in Porto Bello (is this a little white lie?), I lived through a very special/peculiar/odd [sp. particular] adventure with one Maria Hipolita [sp. con una tal Maria Hipolita]. (I can't imagine Luis divulging her name to Tia Isabel so casually, but this would be the only way that the rest of her identity could later be revealed to him.)
TI>> Hmm, it sounds to me....[interrupted by a maid]
LM>> It sounds to you???
TI>> ...but I don't know from where.
END OF THIS SCENE
Later, Luis has told Cristobal the whole story, including all the details. Cristobal is shaking his head in disbelief. They move to La Torre where Luis' laboratory is. Tia Isabel comes to visit because...
TI>> I remembered where I heard the name Maria Hipolita. Dona Asuncion, before she married that #*@!# Francisco, she had an hija she named Maria Hipolita.
LM>> This is the first time I have heard of this.
TI>> Por supuesto, I assume it was because it is a secret.
LM>> And if it is a secret, how did you inform yourself of this?
TI>> By listening behind the door to a conversation between your mother and Dona Asuncion concerning her ilegitima who lives in Panama.
LM>> In Panama? Where?
TI>> How should I know?
SCENE CHANGES
I know it's late and this is already off the main blog board, so I will copy it over after tomorrow's posting, so everyone has a chance to see it.
