Alborada, 9/30/2011. Cap. 87

Today's episode is covered in Melinama's Recap #34, Tuesday segment, at this link.

On YouTube, haguilar78's clips for Cap 87 start at this link.

Thank you, Carlos, for today's pictures.

Paula's caption: Faithful to the end, Ramón's retriever never leaves his master's grave.

Comments:
I just posted a caption for the first pic. The only thing I can think for the second pic is, "You have ring around the collar!" I'm sure someone can think of something better.

That was some awesome action when Luis was thrown from his horse. It sure looked like FC did it for real!

Audrey

Paula, that was exactly what I was thinking when I chose that picture. He looks so forlorn.

Carlos

Carlos, I'm sure it was intentional - they were trying to remind you of a faithful dog. Except for his right leg, Arcanio's pose is exactly the way a dog would sit. The way his head is posed adds to the effect.

Alejandro Tommasi, who plays Felipe, was in Mujeres Asesinas last night (a rerun) as an abusive husband. He's such a good guy in Alborada, and so mild-mannered in Destilando, that it was really bizarre to see him like that.

Actually, I didn't recognize him the first time I saw that MA episode. Only last night when I saw his name in the credits did I realize it was him. He looks very different when he has a mean scowl on his face!

Thanks again Paula and Carlos.

The second picture is very poignant.

The second picture "If you show me yours, I will show you mine". The pervert even has a twinkle in his eye.

Thanks, Paula and Carlos. When I saw the second photo, a Beatles' lyric popped into my head : ''Listen...doo-wah-doo...do you want to know a secret...doo-wah-doo...do you promise not to tell ?...doo-wah-doo..closer..let me whisper in your ear'' I will be sad when this rerun of a wonderful novela is over. Has anyone heard what Eduardo Yanez is working on ? If I can't have a novela with FC, I need Big Ed.

Susanlynn, for your EY fix, there's still a couple of months left of Destilando at 1am if your DVR/other recording device can handle it.

My episode today did not have the action in the first image ??? Hmm. Maybe I better check out the Youtube. I wonder what the deal is.

What do you mean, you already have a significant other?

FC was a stuntman in addition to being a bartender, we have it all in one package. He was a stuntman for Yáñez, don't remember which TN.

In the other picture, it looks like Diego might be saying "What's that perfume you're wearing?"

But I do think Susanlynn's "Do you want to know a secret" is more plausible. Diego knows a lot of secrets, most of which would cause far more damage to him and his mother than to anyone else.

Thanks to Paula and Carlos for our daily dose. I am savoring these last few episodes. The announcer mumbles something about the end is near but I don't know the exact date yet.

Cindy, I don't know where you are but in New Mexico we seem to have slipped a day and I am sure I am one day behind this episode. It's a little ocnfusing when the time zones get off kilter iwth episodes. So it is a spoiler that the two are seen here having a summer picnic with a little nap to rest after a big picnic lunch.

One of the pics wasn't in my episode either. Hmm...

Great episode though. Perla will have some 'splainin' to do when Antonio gets home. If she would just leave Hip alone then her lovers wouldn't have reason to get cross with her.

I am probably more guilty of tangled-finger typos than anyone on this board, so normally I would not dream of pointing out someone else's. But Cheryl, your typo was just too fun to overlook:

"It's a little ocnfusing..."

Thanks for a good giggle.

Since I know Alborada is ending sometime this week, I wanted to make sure to thank Paula for taking the the time and effort to host this and bring us all the daily links and updates.

Each weekend I hoped to catch up with ya'all but it was never to be. At present I am back at capitulo 73. I would have never made it this far if it hadn't been for Paula.

And, so much gratitude to Melinama's site. Having followed along during this Alborada ride online with no captioning has been a first for me. Melinama's recaps have several times kept me from descending into utter confusion.

Thank you Carlos for our daily pictures ( especially any and all of Luis). Thanks to all the contributors to our daily caption/quip. They usually elicited a laugh or giggle from me.

Though I won't be with you for the finale, at least I will have FC to enjoy for the next several weeks to come!

Barbara

LOL!! Susanlynn, that's the very caption that popped into my head for the 9/22 recap photo. Great minds think alike I guess.

Oh man, that inquisition background music is terrifying. What an awful scene when they dragged Hipolita away. Hurry Luis, hurry!!!

The picnic nap wasn't in my Friday episode either. It must be in Monday's. Friday stopped at haguilar's youtube clip about 1 minute into Cap 87 (4 de 4).

Well, I peeked ahead since it was technically cap 87 and I agree. Luis looks magnificent falling off his horse.

I'm worried, are they going to cut stuff out of the last three episodes to make them fit? I just checked the Tivo listing and there are three 1-hour episodes remaining.

Just chiming in to double-confirm that the YouTube caps are a little off from the original TV recaps - I'm not watching the current TV caps since we don't get Telefutura, but the last two (I think) of the haguilar78 videos have both had clips from what should apparantly have been the next episode - just a small amount on 'Cap 86', but easily ten minutes on 'Cap 87'. There also looked to be at least one scene (albeit something fairly unimportant) missing from Cap 87. I don't know what that means for the Telefutura episodes, but I'm hoping that hints the content's just been shuffled around some on the YouTube versions and all of it will turn out to be there in the end (so maybe even if the TV-caps are cut short, you TV people can still see it all). There's just way too much action in these last few episodes to miss any!

I can't believe we're so close to the end! I'm always so sad when one of my novelas finishes a run. I don't watch that many, so I end up in Caray hibernation. We definitely need some novelas de epoca soon!

Some more novelas, even. It was bad enough when I was dropping letters, but now I'm losing whole words!

Mad Marley, I know just how you feel when a good telenovela comes to an end. It feels like it's marking the end of a phase of my life or something (though to be honest, I could really use a new phase!)

I'm still watching Destilando reruns at 1am on Univision, which have a couple of months to go; and Una Familia con Suerte starts tomorrow at 8 on Univision. So far it's just Melinama and me as recappers. Yikes!!

Telefutura must have just cut the ending on Friday. When I watched the 5 AM episode today, the death scene with Ramon and Luis was there on the beginning rehash of the last episode.
They must have cut other endings too. This explains why sometimes the rehash has new-to-me scenes.

Cindy
