Caray, Caray!

This evening’s capitulo begins with Pablo and his Nana.  Nana observes his sad little face because nothing escapes her because Nana knows the brothers Albarran like the back of her hand.  Rocio comes in as Pablo is departing to go work with Mariano.  Moms would prefer Pablo not linger over at El Malquerida for any reason.  She tells him that she wants him to have some pride and ditch that Luzma who left him plantada at the altar.  Pablo tells Moms, again, to butt out while Nana listens around the corner.  After Pablo departs, Nana chides Moms and tells her Pablo is no longer a child and that she needs to leave him to his own decisions.  Rocio worries that too much time spent across the street will lead Pablo to discover his family relationship to Camila.

We yawn for now and then we get to the good stuff.  We see our star-crossed lovers awakening in each other’s arms.  Camila is happy to see that this is not “another” dream.  “Another, que?” questions Dandres.  Camila sheepishly admits that this was not the first time she has had “sweet dreams – wink wink” with Dandres.   Dandres’ ego just cannot resist the impulse to ask, “How was it?”, to which Camila responds “Uff”.   Somebody translate Uff please!  Well, Dandres assures her this was not a dream.



They enjoy this long anticipated moment, lounging in one another’s arms erasing past hurts, eliminating doubts of the possibility of future love and sprinkling each other with amorous verbal fairy dust.  Dandres does attempt to return to reality and his responsibility to “tell her something”.  That would be: that he is really Daniel, he really liked sleeping with her but he could be her cousin, aannnnd he’s the ex-con owner of the ranch, aannnddddd that he and all her friends conspired to keep this mess a secret.   But he still lllluuuuvvvs her even if she is his “Cuz Camila” – but suddenly, there is a knock at the door and a voice cuts through the air “Buenos dias!”.  Agustina has shown up to serve Camila breakfast in bed. Gulp! Dandres scrambles out of bed and out of range of any compromising camera shots.

Chipper Agustina is let in and serves up breakfast and comments on Camila’s extra bright eyes.  Camila says she appreciates life so much more since her accident.  Dandres is hidden in Camila’s powder room dressing and rearranging himself.  He sees a hairbrush and steals a few strands, presumably to do a DNA test.  Agustina has an inquiring look and wonders what could be the real reason Camila is extra bright eyed.  She wonders if Camila is considering reconciling with AlLocoLonso.  There’s a reason that makes sense!  Camila  assures her (and all of us) that that idea is dead.  Yayyyy!  Oh and that reminds Camila, she left the divorce lawyer plantada after her accident and needs to get back to him straight away. Note to self:  call divorce lawyer pronto!  Speaking of Licenciados, Agustina tells Camila that she does need to attend to the business of drawing up her will.   She suggests Lic Becerra could do both hers and Camila’s.  After all, Agustina warns Camila,  her recent scrapes with death prove that she is not promised tomorrow.  Note to viewerville:  this is true EXCEPT in the telenovela universal guideline manual for protaganistas.  Camila sees the logic in this when she considers that had she died after being gored, everything would have gone to AlLocoLonso.  No senor!  Note to self:  fix will, pronto!

While our happy couple scrambles about, Mariano is working diligently in Camila’s office. Nat needs to go to the bank for him and suddenly, what do you know, Brother Yago arrives.  Yago maneuvers an excuse to take Natalia to town and to the bank.

Back at El Rancho Albarran, Bratgirl  stands around aimlessly while Moms Rocio busies herself in the garden. Bratgirl complains of boredom, that everyone is too busy to keep her company.  Moms seizes the opportunity to suggest that Bratgirl spend her time helping Sonny Pablo forget “that girl” Luzma.  Bratgirl feigns uncertainty about this plan.  Moms assures her that she needs Bratgirl’s help and Moms will help her along with a plan.  Bratgirl feigns a demure agreement to help Rocio with the proposition.

Dandres, now properly dressed again, meets with Dio at his office.  Dio asks for an update from Dandres and he reports that Mariano has been in charge at El Rancho Malquerida while Camila was convalescing and that he has been doing a great job.  He reports that Mariano has even managed to get the employees paid in Camilla’s absence, using money from his own pocket.  “Drat!” says Dior as this confirms that Mariano has warmies for Camila.  He adds Mariano to Dandres’ list of people to spy on for him.   Dior asks about Rafa, the other rival for his secret dream girl.   Dandres smartly gives a non-answer, telling him that everyone has been preoccupied with Camilla’s recovery so there is not much to report.  Dio tells Dandres that he is Dio’s eyes and ears and must stay vigilante and report back what is going on.  Dandres strikes a pose, pausing for a moment, pretends to be slightly abashed, and proceeds to pass the chisme that Al and Inmoral are sneaking around together.  He reports that while lurking about, he has seen Al and X sucking knuckles and things together.  Note to Dandres: let’s not take the spying so seriously, OK?

Scene switches start to speed up…. We see Rafa, at his and Viv’s place writing an email to Daniel.  While he writes the email, we see Bruno in Black elsewhere, reading along as Rafa types.  Bruno has hacked into  Dandres’ alleged email account.

Switch back to Dio and Dandres…. Dio laughs about the news of Al and Inmoral.   No way, that little impotent elf!.  Yup, it’s true Dandres reports.  Little Al’s apparently been fixed!

Switch back, again to Bruno…. He reports to Dio that an email was sent to Daniel by Rafa asking to meet in the coming days.  A look of consternation casts a shadow on Dio’s face.  They must stop this meeting, he tells Bruno!

Switch back, again!  This time  Dio (apparently having beamed himself over)  is standing in the living room of El Rancho Malquerida with Agostina.  He tells her he has a surprise for her!
OK, now that the editors are sober again,  the scene switches slow back down.  Viv has come to visit Camila at the ranch and is the second one to comment on how bright-eyed and glowing Camila looks.  Hmm what’s cooking here?  Viv tells Camila that Rafa has moved in with her.  Camila inquires if this means they have warmies for each other, and Viv clarifies it was just to better protect Viv from Bruno in Black by making him think she and Rafa are living together.  Viv says she and Rafa are the best of friends.  However, the music editors have added another theme song to the conversation, so viewerville wonders if this foreshadows warmies developing between the Viv and Rafa.  Viv excuses herself to visit the powder room and Camila peels off a prayer.   “Dear Virgincita, please remove the facial glow and replace it with hospital pallor.”

Dio reveals the surprise to Agustina back in the living room. He tells her she is to go with him and Isa on a business trip to Las Vegas in order to obtain “certification” to continue to sell the retirement funds.  Agustina frets about going unaccompanied with Dio on an overnight trip.  Dio grimaces yet assures Agustina that “the girls” are adult women and will understand (that’s for sure!).  Agustina whispers that the girls don’t know about her and Dio’s “ intimacy” and that she must set a proper example.  More grimacing from Dio while he agrees to accommodate her.  They will tell “the girls” that she is going to Las Vegas with Isadora!  Whew! Morality at Malquerida is safe for another day.

Back at Camila’s cabana, her prayer was apparently the wrong one.  Viv returns from the powder room with evidence of the real reason for the facial glow.  She has found the Virgin de Guadelupe medallion that Dandres normally wears in Camila’s powder room.  Viv really wants to know what’s up and Camila sputters an explanation that,it is true, she and Dandres are lovers.  Cara of consternation from Viv.

Flash the screen to Dandres, in his room, remembering the recent happy moments with Camila.  His phone rings.  Rafa is calling to tell him that the meeting between Daniel and Camila is tomorrow.  Cara of cupable on the part of Dandres, knowing that the recent nookie has muddied things up. Rafa insists that Dandres email back confirmation that he will be there.  Rafa is a little more than peeved at Dandres for besting  him with Camila.

Back to Camila’s room, we return to the girl talk about the budding romance.  Viv makes a few stabs at trying to stop the inevitable.  Camila tells her that Dandres makes her feel alive.  Viv listens and tries again to discourage Camila from this romance with Dandres.  Camila throws Viv’s words back at her; word about listening to her own heart rather than her head.  Viv’s  grey matter is firing more and she tries again!  She asks Camila if Al knows, suggesting that if he finds out about the relationship that he could make the divorce more difficult.  Eyes narrowing, Camila catches on to Viv’s contrariness and tells Viv that she’s starting to feel  judged.  Viv backpedals and drops her attempts at dissuading Camila from being in lluuuvvvv.

Xinmoral and Al are lounging around together with Al worrying that someone might see her visiting him and figure out their affair. Note to Al: Do not worry because most of the town has been informed that Little Al is out of service.   Xinmoral blows off the concern and gets to the real reason for her visit to Al. She hits him up for money.  Al tells her “lo siento”, but that he is broke.  He hilariously suggests that he can help Xinmoral sell her car. “Que?”, says Xinmoral, “The princess sell her coach?”  What would she tell her stepsister, Cinderella Camila?  That she got robbed? Estas loco, she thinks aloud!

As Viv leaves Camila and walks through the courtyard, she encounters Dandres.  Thwack!  She whacks him across the face.  She asks WTQue was he  thinking having nookie with maybe cousin Camila.  Dandres tells her he couldn’t help himself,he’s in luuuuvvv.  Viv slaps him with reality “Love doesn’t justify you doing whatever you want to do!”  Scrambling for words, Dan tells Viv that , BTW, he has sent a sample of Camila’s hair for DNA analysis (cross your fingers, dude!).  Viv continues  dressing D’Andres down about setting Camila up to be hurt along with all the friends (like her and Aaron and Rafa) who are working on the “The Plan” with him.  Bububububbbuuut!  Dandres tries again, miserably.  Viv tells him he is risking everything.  He pleads his final case.  “There is this inevitable force of luvvv and  I luuvvv her more than myself!” Note to Dandres:  Offense not defense – try “Porque te importa” and stick your chin out.

Knocking at the front door, Pablo arrives and asks Piedad if he can talk to Camila. She tells him she hopes this isn’t an excuse to see Luzma.  He swears it is not.  She sends him to Camila’s cabana but not without  telling him to keep his distance from Luzma.

Meanwhile, Agustina is packing for the upcoming trip to Las Vegas. Xinmoral comes slouching in and asks wutz up?  Agustina tells her that she is going on a trip to Las Vegas with Isavibora .  Xinmoral begs to be let out of her cage and go to Vegas for a trip with the girls.  Nope, Agustina tells her.  This is business.  Xinmoral shamelessly asks her mom to do some shopping for her.  She tells Agustina, not trusting her taste, that she will make up a whole list of necessities to bring back from Las Vegas.  After all, X will be allllll alone.  No longer slouching, she scampers off to make her list.

Over in Camila’s office, the police commandante pays her a visit.  He passes along his regrets for her recent accident.  He then asks her if she has been able to locate her uncle’s pistola.  Camila apologizes that she has not followed up because of the recent accident and nookie and promises to put the search on the top of her to do list, bumping nookie with Andres to number two (for now).  The commandante suggests that the killer could very likely be someone that works and lives at El Malquerida.   He asks for her permission to question the workers.  Camilla gives him the okeee  with a look of concern about who could be the killer among them.

At Dio’s office, Bruno shows Dio the email connection he has hacked into on the computer.  Dio sits down to type out an email message to “Daniel”.

Back at Camila’s office, Piedad enters and Camila asks if she has found the gun (I guess that’s on Piedad’s chore list along with dusting and cooking – find recently used murder weapon-check).  Piedad swears she has looked in all the sock drawers and mouse holes and has not found it. She says she will keep looking and shows Pablo in to talk to Camila.  Pablo, enters, visibly shaken and crying.  He tells Camila he needs to talk to her about something about Luzma even though Luzma has sworn her friend Irena to silence and thus, all the rest of her friends.   In tears, he forces out his story.  He tells Camila that the day that he and LUzma were to marry that Luzma was raped!  It is a very very sad moment indeed.

We are granted a break from the previous sad scene.  Natalia, ever sunny in yellow, leaves an office.  Yago jumps out from the side, scaring her (that’ll win her over Yago!).  He succeeds in convincing her to go off for ice cream together (I guess susto did work after all ?!).

After we have had a chance to breathe from the scene before last, we return.  Camila and Pablo continue to reason out a plan. Camila insists that Luzma must talk to someone, to tell them who it was that raped her and what happened, or she will suffer endlessly. Pablo agrees and tells Camila he suspects it is someone at El Rancho Albarran or Malquerida because she was attacked at the only bus stop used by the people at the two ranches.   Camila swears that they have to find out who it was……ALL of viewerville is cheering Camila and Pablo on!  REDEMPTION IS GOOD. GO FOR IT, AND DON”T TAKE PRISONERS!!!

We catch our breath once again and return to the scene with Nat and Yago strolling, talking about bullfighting, boyfriends, and Nat’s family.  The climb the stairs to the local placita.  Rodolfo cruises by glaring in his truck looking more like a stalker from an LMN movie than his usual swell self.  We would prefer the Rodolfo with the musica ranchera background music.

Camila has retired to her bedroom now.  Dandres shows up.  Theme song starts up and they smooch and joke and give each other nicknames like duena and dueno.  Camila dangles the lost medallion in front of  Dandres and tells him that Vivi found it and that she and now knows about them.  Dandres has a face of cupable!   That fades and more smoochies are shared.  D’ Andres claims he has come to pass along a couple of messages to Camila, but alas he suffers from love-induced dementia.. smoochies, he remembers to have Camila meet the lawyer. …smoochies he tells her he needs to take care of business in town tomorrow.

As the story fades to a close, a serious Camila tells Dandres about what Pablo has shared with her about Luzma.  They agree that the best person to try to get Luzma to share her story would be Dandres……

Avances:  All that matters in the clips is that Leo Sordido gets a smackdown and tomorrow’s redemption capitulo cannot come soon enough!
