Amor Bravío #100 (Uni 95) Tue 1/8/13 Agustina’s Hellacious Hubby Hungers for Hissadora!

Hissadora is very grateful to everyone.  After everything Alonso did, they never would have allowed her anywhere near this place.  Even so, they’re accusing her of drafting a false will, and homicide.  Camila reminds her that Alonso himself told her about it but unfortunately he’s not here to confirm it.  Oh, how Hissadora wishes her son were here, even if he ended up accusing her falsely as Camila is doing.  Alas, that’s not possible, and even though they don’t believe her, she’s as surprised as anyone at the news of this will.  But, puh-lease, it would be really stupid on her part to give up this great fortune!  If her son Alonso saw fit to leave her La Malquerida, welllll, she’s gonna keep it!  Really, there’s no one else to watch out for her so she’s got to do it herself.  “I’ve gotta think of me, of my future, of me!  I’m truly very sorry, but I don’t plan on handing this place over to anyone.  I repeat, a nadie!”

The Tussle at the Hostel
Rafa continues to struggle with Omar’s henchman.  The big guy gets the best of our hero, but Rafa manages to hang on to that phone!  Ozzie and Amanda come out to see what all the ruckus is about and Rafa explains that one of her guests was eavesdropping and sending messages to Omar, another of Dion’s henchmen.  Amanda quickly puts things together and realizes that’s why Dionicio managed to know everything that was going on at the Hostal.  Ozzie demands to know what’s going on.  Amanda tells him it must have been Dion’s minions who attacked him.  Dion even told her he knew of their plans to leave town.  Now she knows that guest was keeping Dion apprised of everything.  Ozzie’s not backing down, he’s going to file charges.  Amanda doesn’t want him to do that and risk having Dion harm her and Natalia.

La Malquerida
Daniel tells Hissadora she has no right to La Malquerida.  Hissadora:  “According to the law it is.  Didn’t you listen, my love?  Yup it is.  I am within my rights no matter who it bothers.”  She smiles her most charming Kimodo smile at him.  Rodolfo walks in to take the luggage out.  Hissadora tells him to hold off cuz she’s no longer going anywhere.  The roles have been reversed.  Camila steps in and says what’s important here isn’t the law (wait, what?).  What’s important here, is one’s conscience.  She points out that Alonso blackmailed Daniel into handing over La Malquerida by threatening Camila’s life.  If Hissadora keeps LMQ, she’s condoning Alonso’s locura and wickedness.  Daniel also points out that the reason Don Dan left him the place to begin with was to protect Camila from Alonso.  So any way you slice it, according to Daniel, LMQ isn’t Hissadora’s.  “Ha, ha,” Hissadora hisses.  “Wrong!  It’s already mine. I plan to honor my son’s wishes and keep all his possessions.   So, I’m staying put.  The ones leaving here are y’all.  As of tomorrow morning I want all of you outta here!”  She orders Rodolfo to take her bags up to the master bedroom.  Daniel sees she’s finally unsheathing her Kimodo claws and showing herself for who she truly is – a woman who is only interested in power and money.  Hissadora isn’t phased.  She is truly, truly, sorry that her son’s wishes have annoyed them.  But nothing Daniel does will change the outcome.  “So, it’s best that y’all start accepting it, and packing while you’re at it.”  Camila assures her this will not stay as it is.  They will fight for LMQ until they recover it.  Hissadora figures they’ll only recover it if they pay her for it.  But, wait, that’s not possible because they have no money, chuckle, chuckle.  Agustina finally speaks, saying Hissadora is a bad person.  How quickly she’s forgotten the loss of her son.  Why, she actually seems happy as thought his death means nothing.  Well, Hissadora tells her she could give a Kimodo’s a$$ what they think.  The reality is that all this, all this belongs to whom?  It would behoove them to start packing cuz come sunrise, she doesn’t want to set eyes on them here again.  Camila swears she will fight the will and Daniel assures her she won’t get away with this.  Hissie doesn’t care and excuses herself to go settle in, in her ranch.

The Help
Out by the corrales, the staff is buzzing.  Rodolfo declares it’s true that Hissie is the new BossLady.  If she was able to run off Daniel and Camila, she’ll get rid of them as well.  Luzma tells mom there’s no way she’s sticking around if HissLady is the new boss.  They all agree this is not good news.  Piedad intones Don Daniel, saying he would turn in his grave if he knew this were occurring.  They all rush in cuz a big storm is coming (a hint of what’s to come, I’m sure)

The Parlor
Dionicio is appalled at the monster Hissadora has become (this is for the benefit of his audience: Dan, Cam and Aggie).  Daniel’s surprised at his reaction, saying after all, Dionicio knows her very well.  Dionicio is offended at this insinuation but before this go any further, Agustina shushes them both and suggests they put their effort toward a solution.  Camila says they must talk to Osvaldo about these documents and Daniel swears to her again he will get LMQ back for her and throw out Hissadora.  Dionicio witnesses this touching moment and tells them to count him in.  He’ll ask his attorney to check into this.  Don’t bother, says Daniel, he and Camila are taking care of it and will do so immediately.  Agustina asks the #1 question:  Where will they all live now?  Camila suggests her house in town and Dionicio offers his own, it’s bigger and the four of them would be very comfortable there.  (what?)   Daniel. of course, says no (whew!).  Camila suggests to her mother that she go with her husband to his house while Camila and Daniel go live in her own house in town.  They’ll stay in touch at all times.  Agustina is horrified.  No way, Camila is to come with her and Dionicio!  She will not permit Camila to cohabitate (amasiato = cohabitate – oh, the horror!)  and be the ridicule of the town.  It’s enough that they’ll know they were run out of the ranch.  This is the least of Camila’s worries.  She will go the house in town and they will stay in touch.  She and Daniel leave.  Agustina turns to Dionicio as asks what is she to do with that niña (yup, she called her grown, divorced daughter a child).  Dionicio calmly suggests there’s nothing to be done for the moment.  Everything will run its course and Camila will surely come around.  Agustina can only hope (she’s so clueless to Dion’s eeeewwww-worthy intentions).  She can’t tolerate that boy and his relationship with her daughter.  Dionicio agrees, Daniel is so arrogant and intransigente.  She begs him to do something, anything to recover the ranch for Camila.  She’d be ever so grateful.  The only way to recover her daughter and this ranch is for everything to return to normal.  He assures her he’s got it all under control.  Agustina wonders if it’s true what Camila said about Hissadora wanting to kill her.  Dion doesn’t know where she got that from.  It’s not possible to force a bull to run someone down.  He’s sure Daniel put that idea in her head.  Agustina feels Daniel is causing her daughter a lot of harm.  Dionicio can only agree.

Outside, Camila explains to Daniel that she found out about Alonso’s will on a day they were having one of their many arguments.  She changed her own will after that which now seems to be invalid.  She figures that crooked lawyer (Saloman?) put together Alonso’s will.  Daniel figures this means Hissadora knew everything.  Camila gets very agitated (and I get very confused)  Daniel holds her by the shoulders and reminds her he’s on her side and they will find a solution.  He promises.  Camila’s very worried about her mother being all alone with Dionicio.  Daniel asks if she wants him to reconsider and agree to move into Dionicio’s house (eek!).  Camila of course rejects that idea, saying they’d then be on his turf.  Daniel then promises they will see Agustina every day to keep an eye on her.  They head off to see Osvaldo.

Inside, Agustina is speaking to Don Dan’s portrait.  She’s been very angry with him ever since she found out about all his lies and for leaving this ranch to that muchacho he thought was his son.  But now she wants to ask him not to permit “that woman” to keep LMQ and help Camila recover it.  She’s suffered so much and she at least deserves some happiness.  She asks that he give her what he should have left her when he died and asks that he protect Camila from Daniel.  She feels Don Dan also made a huge mistake here as well.  Camila  will never be happy with him.

Elsewhere, Hissadora is slinking along the terrace.  “Mine!  All mine!  Ay, hijo.  Your death is my greatest triumph.  I put up with you all those years.  Your tantrums!  Your weakness! But it was worth the effort.”  She puts her head back (as lizards are  known to do to capture the sun’s warmth, just sayin’) and sighs, “this is happiness!”  Dion watches from below and thought bubbles, “I wasn’t wrong in aligning myself with you and not with that stupid Alonso.  We finally have LMQ!”

Dionicio’s Office
Natalia takes a call from a Diana Sanchez, Señor Estevez’ secretary calling to confirm an appt between Estevez, Dion, and Hissadora this afternoon.  It’s regarding the signing for la Sociedad del desarollo turistico de La Malquerida (partnership for the Tourist Development of LMQ!)  What a scoop!  Natalia can hardly keep her eyes in her head as she gets all the deets down!  She immediately calls Daniel and darn it, he doesn’t answer.  She leaves him an urgent, urgent message.  What to do? What to do?  She calls the ranch, hoping to catch him there but Dionicio answers instead and she hangs up.  Using Caller ID, he calls right back and she fumbles, saying she had a bad connection.  She tells him about the meeting.  He takes the opportunity to advise her that he and the little lady will be moving into town.  Remembering (conveniently) that Natalia doesn’t want anyone to know she’s working for him, he suggests she take a few days off.  She agrees then wonders aloud why they are moving into town.  She only hopes she’s wrong if what she thinks might be true.

Back at LMQ
Luzma catches up to Pablo and gives him the bad news that Alonso left the ranch to Hissadora.  She thinks this means they will all be out of work.  Pablo doesn’t seem to think so cuz he found out through Mariano that his dad is getting along smashingly with Hissadora.  This may mean a job for him here.  Lately, he’s been nice to him as though he’s changing his mind about things.  Luzma can’t believe what she’s hearing – he’d stay here and work for that Kimodo?! That would be betraying Camila.   Pablo sees it differently.   Camila won’t have a job for him and he needs a job for them to get ahead. Luzma is totally against it.  Pablo doesn’t think Camila will see it as a betrayal.  She knows he needs the work and besides, he can keep an eye on the ranch she loves so much.  Luzma is not convinced.  She doesn’t want the food on their table (literally the bread they put in their mouths) to come from that woman.  She doesn’t want anything from this ranch if it comes without Camila or Daniel.  She runs off.

Buenaventura
Refugio tells Rocio that everything is arranged for Pablo’s wedding and starts giving her all the details.  Rocio doesn’t understand why Refugio’s telling her this when she knows how it upsets her.  Refugio hasn’t given up hope that Rocio will give up the fight and accept the fact that Pablo is getting married.  Besides, she knows Pablo came to speak to Rocio.  She pleads with Rocio to reconsider or she may regret it the rest of her life.  Rocio’s convinced Pablo will be the one with regrets.  Refugio didn’t have children.  She gave all her motherly love to Rocio’s children, unconditionally, and that’s how Rocio’s love should be.  She should accept Pablo’s happiness.  Rocio shoots back that it’s easy to judge when, as Refugio as pointed out, Refugio doesn’t have children.  Refugio only wishes to make one point and it’s that Pablo will never be what Rocio wants him to be.  Why can’t she respect the decisions of others?  Rocio wants to know why no one respects her decisions.  Just like Refugio demands her to respect Pablo’s decision, Rocio wants Refugio to respect hers as well.  Fine, says Refugio, she’s got a point.  She only hopes Rocio isn’t offended because Refugio plans to attend the wedding.  She will be in church in the first pew.  Rocio can’t believe Refugio will go to the wedding.  She thought Refugio would be on her side.  Refugio’s very sorry but she doesn’t plan to make the same mistake as Rocio.  She plans to be at the wedding of her “niño”!   She walks out and Rocio shakes her head in disbelief.

Justice League Convenes at La Hostal
Cam and Dan have come to give Ozzie and the Justice League (minus Vivi) the news that Hissadora is now the owner of LMQ.  Daniel is sure this was planned and not a coincidence (use of the word casual).  Rafa agrees, saying nothing about Hissadora is casual.  Ozzie asks if they knew that Alonso accused Hissadora of attempting to kill him.  Camila’s surprised.  Ozzie confirms Alonso said this to Comandante Juarez.  Amanda asks how is it possible for a woman to kill her own son.  Aaron reminds her Hissadora allegedly ordered Padre Baldomero’s death, making her capable of anything.  Amanda knows that, but to kill her own son?  Inconceivable (inconcebible)!  Camila remarks that with regards to Hissadora, they can believe anything.  She did try (allegedly) to kill Camila, right?  The accident with the bulls was no accident, because just prior to that Hissadora had (allegedly) forged a will where Camila would leave LMQ to Alonso.  This is news to Ozzie and Camila admits there’s no proof but Alonso told her.  He told her that the long gone attorney, what’s-his-name had put it together.  Ozzie knows it was Saloman, of course!  Daniel wonders if they would have some proof at least against Alonso if they had a copy of that false will.  Since it was a false document, Ozzie is sure Saloman didn’t register the document.  Saloman wouldn’t put his neck in the noose in that way.  Rafa thinks they should take advantage of the fact that Alonso accused his mother so Comandante Juarez can get to the bottom of it and realize the kind of person Hissadora is.  Sure, says Daniel, that will lead him to see that Hissadora killed Padre Baldomero and tried to kill Camila.  Rafa feels they need to provide Comandante Juarez with evidence so he can get to the truth.  Ozzie wholeheartedly agrees and furthermore feels it’s time for Daniel to present himself to the authorities and reveal his true identity, accuse everyone who was responsible for the death of his wife and the intent on his own life.  Camila may not get LMQ back but at the very least she wants Hissadora to pay.  Ozzie thinks there’s a way to get LMQ back but he’s not sure it will work.  He’s going to put them in touch with a lawyer who will help them put together a case to challenge the document where Daniel ceded LMQ to Alonso.  It’s a long process and the proceedings could take up to 2 years and there is only a slim chance they’ll win.  Daniel thinks they should consider even that slim chance.  Amanda agrees it’s worth the effort

LMQ and Hissadora’s boudoir
Um, looks like her old room to me, I thought she was supposed to get the master bedroom?  Anyway, Dion is there to tell her about the meeting with Estevez this evening to sign the new contract.  Hiss:  “Guau, I think this is the most marvelous day of my life!  The good news just keeps on coming, and coming, and coming.”  Evidently, they can’t go together so he suggests they travel separately.  He leans over to hand her the address and she grabs hold of his wrist, “forgetting something?”  She pulls him onto the bed with her and squeals with happiness.  Ruh-roh!  Agustina just happens to be passing along in the hallway and hears the squealing of Kimodos in heat!

Justice League Meeting continues at La Hostal
Ozzie explains that while Daniel is at the delegación, he’ll ask Margarita to go through the archives to see if Alonso might have left a more recent will.  The Justice League springs into action.  Everyone, that is, except Ozzie who needs his rest.  Rafa holds Daniel and Camila back, saying he has some news about Dionicio Ferrer.

Green Monster at the Door
Agustina is furiously jiggling the locked door handle and asks, “Hissadora, are you there?”  Trying to suppress her laughter, Hissadora asks what she wants and Agustina asks that she open the door.  She heard laughter and wants to know if someone else is in there!  She thought she heard Dionicio’s voice.  On the other side of the door, Dioncio is munching on Hissadora’s neck as she asks, while laughing, ”What in the world would Dionicio be doing in here?”  “Well nothing,” responds Agustina, “but it sounded as though you were in there with someone.” Hissadora accuses her of spying.  Agustina denies this and asks if she can open the door so they can talk.  Hissadora tells her they have nothing to discuss.  The phone rings just then and she tells Agustina she must take this call.

Out in the hallway, Piedad has walked by telling Agustina she needs to talk to her.  They walk away as Agustina asks if Piedad has seen Dionicio.

Meanwhile, we learn that the call to Hissadora was from Comandante Juarez asking to see her.  He wouldn’t say what about and she’s fed up with him.  She only hopes it’s not some ruse to interrogate her about Alonso’s death.  Dionicio doesn’t understand why he would need to speak to her since it’s assumed Alonso died of a heart attack.  She now tells him that stupid Alonso had the nerve to tell Juarez that she tried to kill him (Alonso).  Dionicio hopes it won’t take long because they have that appointment with Estevez.  Before he leaves, Dionicio comments on Hissadora’s great acting when Camila told her about the will.  Hissadora explains how Ximena had already told her that Alonso had told Camila about that will. Dionicio feels Alonso’s death has been very beneficial.  Hissadora wonders why, when they have LMQ, is he still by Agustina’s side.  Why doesn’t he divorce her?  Dionicio explains Agustina is the lynch pin to forcing Camila into submission.  He attempts to kiss her but she turns her face.  “Your loss,” he says.

Agustina’s Room
Piedad is asks Agustina for a letter of recommendation.  Agustina puts Piedad’s mind at ease.  She has no plans to let such a good cook go.  She plans to take Piedad to town when she moves into Dionicio’s place.  Piedad is over the moon.  Agustina is already feeling nostalgic about this place that has been her home for so many years.  Agustina heads off to find her hubby.  She and Piedad run into him in the hallway.  Agustina demands to know where’s he’s been.  He explains, crudely, that he was in his office.  Piedad thanks him for allowing her to come with them to town.  This is news to him and Agustina quickly explains.  Dionicio advises her they will not be able to take Piedad with them.  He already has a complete staff in his home.  Besides, why would they need a cook when it’s just going to be the two of them?  Agustina begins to protest but he shuts her down and apologizes to Piedad.  Agustina had no right to make this offer before discussing it with him first.  He excuses himself as he has a very important meeting to attend.  Agustina apologizes to Piedad and promises to give her the bestest letter of recommendation ever.

La Hostal
Rafa tells Daniel and Camila about the guest/spy at the Hostal and hands over the cell with all the messages going to Omar.  Rafa is sure Dionicio was involved in the attempt on Ozzie’s life.  Daniel quickly surmises the attempt was to keep Ozzie from seeing Alonso.  Rafa repeats the importance of filing charges on whomever was responsible for the assault.  Daniel figures the proof is in this here little cell phone.  Camila wonders who Dionicio really is.  On the one hand, he saves her life, yet he’s also capable of such a dastardly deed.  Rafa comments that Dionicio is an unpredictable (imprevisible) man and completely astute (astuto).  Daniel explains to Camila, again, that Dionicio won’t harm her because he’s interested in her.  He’s told her a thousand times.  Dionicio is a man who only thinks of himself.  That’s how he was able to hurt Amanda and now, Cam’s mother.

Dion’s Office
Natalia is pacing the floor, waiting for Daniel to call her back when in comes Omar to pick her up for her driving lesson.  She tries to get out of it but he doesn’t budge.  He doesn’t want Don Ferrer to be angry with him.

Amanda’s Hostal
Daniel finally gets the voice mail as Camila informs him, and Viewerville, that cell reception there can be spotty.  He tries to call Natalia but of course she’s not there.

Buenaventura
Cayetano and Yago are talking bulls and bullfights.  Pablos joins them, explaining he needs a favor from his father.  He asks dad to intercede for him with Hissadora to get him the job as administrator for LMQ.  He explains she is now the owner.  Cayetano is muy impactado.  QTH?  He only smiles in wonderment.

Agustina/Dionicio’s room
Agustina tells him she was embarrassed at the way he spoke to her in front of Piedad.  He made her feel without any authorization, as though her word has no value.  “That’s what you get for making decisions without asking me,” is the only response she gets from her hellacious hubby.  A: “I never thought I needed to consult you about hiring a cook.”  D:  “A cook, or anyone else! In my house there is no need.  I’ll remind you that before you married me, I lived there.  I have more than enough staff.”  She asks submissively for his forgiveness.  D:  “Instead of making decisions that don’t involve you, why don’t you start packing our clothes?  We’re moving to my house first thing tomorrow morning.”  Agustina asks meekly if he means only the clothes.  He angrily shouts at her, “Are you deaf? What language am I speaking?  Only the clothes!  My house is completely furnished, I need nothing from here.  Understood?”  “Si, mi amor.  As you say.”  He turns to leave and tells her not to wait up for him.  When she reminds him he’s still convalescing, he impatiently tells her he feels fine.  Besides, he’s not walking there.  One of his men is driving him there.  Once alone, Agustina can only sink onto her bed and complain to God of the injustice of it all.  All this will now belong to Hissadora.  T’aint right, t’aint right!

At the Hostal,
Rafa and Aaron lament on the injustice of it all.  Vivi arrives to speak with Rafa.  Aaron quickly realizes he’s the odd man out and leaves.  Rafa explains about Hissadora being the new owner, etc, etc.

La Delegación
Daniel and Camile are before Comandante Juarez.  Daniel explains he’s here to tell the truth, the whole truth…….  He’s Daniel Diaz Acosta who arrived in Mexico using a false name because he was in fear for his life.  Juarez is listening….

Buenaventura
Cayetano explains to his sons, Yago and Pablo, that Hissadora wasn’t expecting to become the owner of LMQ.  He’s not unhappy about it, the Monterde’s weren’t very nice to her.  And vice versa, says Yago.  Pablo points out they all know how Alonso ended up with the property and by all rights Hissadora should relinquish ownership and give it back to Camila.  Yago opines that rejecting something so marvelous wouldn’t be easy, no?  Cayetano honestly doesn’t know how he’d react under similar circumstances.  He might’ve done the same as Hissadora.  Pablo doesn’t believe that.  Dad’s too honest to do something like that.  Cayetano suggests it’s useless to discuss what they would do, bottom line, she’s accepted the inheritance.  Pablo puts in his plea again for Cayetano’s help in getting the job at LMQ.  Cayetano agrees to speak with Hissadora about the matter.   (Oooooh, wait til Rocio hears about this!)  Palbo thanks him and also thanks him for supplying the baptism certificate and respecting his decision to marry.  Cayetano announces that not only is he respecting his decision, he also plans to attend the wedding!  Pablo is overjoyed and embraces his father.  We see Rocio in the distance, complaining about life’s ironies.  Pablo seems to love Cayetano more than her, and she’s his true mother!

La Delegación
Daniel comes to the end of his story…..the last he heard, his record is gone.  Padre Anselmo’s sister is helping with his case.  What’s strange is that the authorities in Chile are not looking for him.  Camila assures the comandante that Daniel is not an assassin.  He didn’t kill his wife and if he escaped from jail it was because he didn’t even have a trial.  They threw him in jail just like that.  What he wants now is justice.  Juarez agrees to look into everything they’ve just told him, including Julian’s passport to review the dates he was in Chile.  Daniel offers all the information he has and assures him he hasn’t committed any crimes in this country.  Juarez reminds him he used a false name but he didn’t use it on any official documents.  One more thing, Daniel wants to press charges against Hissadora for the death of Padre Baldomero.  He’s sure she’s the one who killed him.  Tan=-tan-taaaan.

Quick note before I go to bed: did anyone else notice Iago's nose out of joint when Pablo first came to talk to Cayetano and later when Cayetano said he would go to Pablo's wedding?

Paquita: great detailed recap.

Nanette

Paquita, thanks for a great recap!

The Tussel: Hey, if Rafa hung onto that phone, nobody got the best of him! Yay Rafa!

“Well, Hissadora tells her she could give a Kimodo’s a$$ what they think. ” LOL!

“Elsewhere, Hissadora is slinking along the terrace. “Mine! All mine!”
Loved the me, me, me pirouette. I am soooo ready for this woman to be served her just desserts.

Rocio: You are an idiot. What an interesting counterpoint to the Isa-Alonso-Rosario situation where we have the non-birth mother adjunct (Nana) and non-blood father (though he doesn’t know it) being better parents than the birth mother.

“Um, looks like her old room to me, I thought she was supposed to get the master bedroom?” *snort*

“Ruh-roh! Agustina just happens to be passing along in the hallway and hears the squealing of Kimodos in heat!” *double snort* and also *eeeewww*.

All the cell phone shenanigans makes me hope that eventually the Justice League discovers the message that Alonso emailed to himself, sooner rather than later.

Paquita- There was a LOT going on this episode on a lot of different fronts, and you managed to relay it all to us, with detail and humor. Gracias.

I don't know where to start. So many moments had me shaking my head. Dio's growing obsession with Cami and Gussy's total blindness to his icky comments/vibe. Dio and Isa getting busy right under Gussy's nose and laughing at her while doing it! Gussy getting her nose out of joint because Cami and Dan are going to be shacking up in sin in Aculco. Gussy letting Dio talk down to her about hiring Piedad. I guess all my major head shaking moments had to do with Gussy. LOL! That woman just keeps falling deeper into delusion and denial, and I did NOT like hearing Dio voice his plans to use her as a way of making Cami surrender to him. *shudder*

I was happy to see the Justice League meeting to discuss all the latest developments and that Dan has finally gone to tell all to Juarez. Poor Juarez! This hotbed of crime and intrigue was happening under his nose, and nobody bothered to tell him about it. I'm glad that it looks like he'll be rattling Isa's perfect world this evening. I also hope Nat can tell Cami and Dan about that Estevez meeting before it happens. She's going to have to come clean about working for Dio though, and Dan and Cam won't like that.

Here’s a bit more clarification on the conversation between Cami and Dan as they walked out to the car.
Dan asked why she didn’t tell him about the fake will Isa had made for Cami. Cami says it was Al who told her about it during that time she wand Dan were mad at each other. He clarifies it was during the time that SHE was mad at HIM. She says, whatever. It didn’t matter anymore because by the time Al told her, she had already made another will (with Osvaldo) so that would invalidate the fake will Isa had made for her (during the bull goring incident). She goes on to say it was the same corrupt notary who got the fake power of attorney for Dan’s dad who made the fake will for her. Then Cam starts getting really worked up and angry about Isa and the whole situation and Dan turns her around, grabs her shoulders and says he’s not the enemy (basically, why are you acting mad at me?). That’s when she apologized and toned it down and spoke about her biggest worry being her mom.

Before this, the Justice League knew about Isa’s involvement with the attempt on Cami’s life, but they didn’t know that she had also created a fake will for Cami. Hopefully, Os can find something in Solomon’s registered files that they can use as proof. Actually, I hope Solomon comes back and testifies against Isa. He has a lot of valuable info.

Great recap,Paquita. Thanks!

Vivi - I'm thinking perhaps Cami and Dan won't mind too much having Natalia acting as a double agent working for the enemy.

Bravo, Rafa. Hope there's something to work with on that phone.

There are no words left for Gussie. She keeps sinking deeper and deeper into desperation and delusion.

Now it's time for the tables to turn, Hissadora. All the more special that you thought it was perfectly planned.

Paquita - LOL! Wonderful recap :) Good point about lizards turning their faces to the sun - lol! Carolina hit on the other points I was LOLing to.

Nanette - Yeah, Yago started pounting the second Pablo walked into the scene and gave an extra pout every time her heard Caye was going to do something for him. Oy, that bambino needs to grow up!

I love that the JL is keeping in step with the villains. Most of the time bad guys get away with everything until the last 2 or 3 days of a novela and no one's any the wiser.

Things that I was pleasantly surprised about: How quick on the ball Nat was after getting the info from the other secretary. She called Dan right away and covered herself when Dio *69ed her back.

That Viviana asked what was up instead of just gushing "I'm in love with you!" and turning the scene to happyhappyjoyjoyhugsandkisses. I live it when they're more realistic about how people approach things. (though her brief convo with Aaron and then complete clarity made my eyebrows raise).

Refugio. She is my heroine of the night. I love that she points out that Rocio's being ultra-stubborn, responded with dignitiy to Rocio's shot about Ref never having kids, and didn't back down about going to Pablo's wedding.

Things that surprised me:
After all the talk of Pablo's paternity, I was not expecting the Pablo/Luzma fight. It's an interesting wrinkle to add to the mix.

That after Dio's verbal smackdown, the unfair thing Gussie laments about is Isa getting the ranch. Um, no comment on how your husband is verbally grinding you down into nothing?

Lol Vivi - "Poor Juarez! This hotbed of crime and intrigue was happening under his nose, and nobody bothered to tell him about it." Yes, he did not seems happy about Dan's story and looked incredulous when he finished and said oh, also, Isa tried to kill PB and Camila. SO glad Dan's finally gone to the cops though. I appreciate that the writers realize it makes more sense for cops to believe you at the end of the day when they've been tracking the story and looking for evidence too, rather than just buying your tale at the end of things.

Thanks for the recap Paquita. You had a lot of info cover and gave it to us w/great commentary.

Nanette - yes I noticed pouting Iago when Pablo approached. It's so sad b/c he'll be so happy when Isa drops the bomb.

Vivi - thanks for the clarification and I too shudder about Dio's creepy and psycho comment about Cam. Though I don't put rape past him, he fancies himself as a lover and will believe that Cam will willing be with him (b/c of her mom so its still coercion) than reality will reveal (if/when we get to that).

oops, I meant Yago started pouting, I love it when TNs try to be realistic, and eyebrows rise. I should not type when I'm trying to work at the same time.

Ooh! I also meant to ask:

1) What did Camila say when Dan got Nat's message? Something about reception?

2) Now that Isa's "won," is anyone else wondering how much jealousy will play a role in her downfall? Though she plans to cut Dio out of the deal, she has never liked him with Gussie, but because Camila's more of a threat, she seems particularly ticked off that he won't give up that pipe dream (well, nightmare).

Thanks Paquita! Enjoyable as always. I especially liked:
-ewwwwwwworthy
-She puts her head back (as lizards are known to do to capture the sun's warmth)
-the vocabulary
-using the word "tussle" as it filled in a crossword clue for me!

Finally a locked door! Too bad it was a door that we desperately wanted to open.

That was pretty gutsy of Dio to admit to Hiss he's still trying to get to Camila. I wouldn't want to make Isadominatrix mad.

Terrific recap, Paquita, with lots of detail, delightful snark, and helpful vocab. ¡Muchas gracias!

Among my favorite comments: "[Hissadora] puts her head back (as lizards are known to do to capture the sun’s warmth, just sayin’)" and "[Gussie] hears the squealing of Kimodos in heat!"

Vivi, thanks for the clarification about what Cam said to Dan as they were walking out to the car. I missed some key words when I was watching last night. And I too hope that Solomon returns to testify against Hissadora, though the lifespan of people who get on Hissa's bad side(s) is an argument against his returning.

I think the avances showed a glimpse of Rosario, but I'm not sure whether or how she'll figure in tonight's episode.

Belated thanks to Kat, Jardinera, and UA for your recaps. I was out of town for several days and missed the three episodes before last night's, but thanks to your recaps I'm now pretty much caught up.

Thank you, Paquita, so much. The twists and turns are delightful and engaging for us viewers, but I can't imagine the recapping task for an episode such as this one.

Legal eagles among you: Osvaldo says that challenging the validity of the will can take time and the scenario is hot hopeful. The JL can impugn Isadora's motives and accuse her of various dastardly deeds (what along a list!) but those do not necessarily invalidate her claim. Depending on the outcome, she may be unable to lay claim to the hacienda or take possession of it. But the resolution of charges against her is a separate legal process that will not challenge the validity of the will itself, only the circumstances behind it.

Does that sound right to you?

So Isa hates it that Dio is hooked on Cami. Another big problem for her.

I was out of commission yesterday and couldn't participate, but I want to say first off that yesterday's recap was fantastic, UA.
You gave us the important conversations word for word. That was great.

Also, I think Anita got the subtleties of the conversation between Aaron and Viv on why it seemed like she just turned her feelings around so quickly. Aaron said that she was seeing the calmness in him as a feeling of attraction toward him, when it was really just a reflection of her feelings of herself, her new calmness after stopping being afraid of Bruno. And that the person who makes her feel alive and charged up is Rafa, not Aaron, and that's her answer. That's when she had her ah ha moment.

Now, for this episode, Paquita you always come through with a great recap and all the details. I never feel as though I need to watch (but I will) because you are so thorough.

Surely, Isa will ultimately cut Dion out of the deal. She's just that kind of snake. I hope Rosario comes through before everyone has to move out.

I was thinking that they could actually get Isa out of this story now by having her found out and put in jail, because they have big bad Dion still to contend with. And he won't quit until he gets what he wants, especially if Isa double crosses him. So that's what I'm hoping will happen before too long and not have to wait until the gran finale to see her get her due.

Good stuff, Paquita.

Hissadora doesn't give a flying damn about El Diablo (though only the devil could survive after munching a komodo's neck); all she cares about is the dinero.

Cesar Evora adds one more perverse stepfather role to his resume.

Prediction: Augustina will lose more IQ points yet. I am convinced that the only thing that could make her see the light would be to see him attempt to rape Camila.

But by then that might not do it, either.

Love the contrast of Refugio and Cayetano vs. Rocio and Augustina.

On that subject, it really annoys me when anyone refers to an adult offspring as niña or niño (or nene).

I think Rafa's glasses got broken in the scuffle. He was examining them in the background when Amanda and Osvaldo were talking. Then he didn't have them on for the rest of the show.

I wish Luz and Pablo would get married already and let all these anvils fall after they’re hitched: Pablo’s bio dad reveal, working at LMQ. I must say I was surprised that Pablo asked his dad to intervene with Isa re: a job at LMQ. I thought he was going to ask that his Dad tell the other ranchers it was OK for them to consider him for a position. Surprised that Pablo went ahead with his LMQ plan even though Luz said “no way”.

Rocio is getting on my last nerve. I hate characters that stubbornly stick to a point when it’s obvious to everyone on the planet that she’d get further if she would just give in—even if she has to “fake it until she makes it”. And that remark about Pablo loving a father who isn’t blood more than his blood mother---duh! Clueless as Gussie, sometimes.

I was glad to see the Scoobies together again, but missed Vivi.

I missed the dramatic conversation between Os and Amanda after Rafa caught Annoying Texting Guy eavesdropping. I was distracted by what Rafa was doing in the background (looking for his glasses—in turns out. Good bit of business to check to see if they were broken, unless the actor actually wears them and he was worried).

Will Gussie’s eyes finally be open to Dio when she gets arrested for fraud and he doesn’t help her out?

Dio is such an egomaniac that he thinks he can tell Isa that he wants Cam and still expect Isa to want him. What hubris!

I can research this, but if someone knows off the top of their head the name/artist of Cam/Dan’s sad love song—the one that hurts my ears.

"I am convinced that the only thing that could make her see the light would be to see him attempt to rape Camila." - UA

ITA, on this and I'm actually quite scared that before it gets to this point, Gussie will think Camila is hitting on Dio and she will react in a way that breaks Cami's heart. I especially don't want this to happen if Miriam is on the scene and she doesn't have Daniel to help pick the pieces.

Nanette - Yes, Rocio is really the only one left on the battlefield leading a charge over a cliff! And your right, Dio's ego is ridiculous! But I think he sees her with Caye and doesn't get jealous (just suspicious), so he doesn't think she would be either.

Do you mean Te digo adios by Laura Pausini? It used to play for Dan and Miriam. Here's a youtube link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CHXd368pIIE

HS: I think Dio thinks any woman should be happy for his attention, no matter what the circumstances. Really looking forward to his downfall.

I like Laura Pausini. I have one of her CDs--no, that's not the one. It's a guy who sings it. It's really pretty and he has a good voice, it's just that he hits a part that is really loud and sings at that level for a bit. I think it's the one they used when Cam/Dan broke up.

Laura Pausini mystifies me as to why she is famous. Her voice makes my eardrums bleed.

Nannette, if that's a prediction, please say so. If it's a spoiler, know that we have rules against that.

To your point, when and if Augustina gets arrested for fraud, I think El Diablo will just leave her in jail to rot.

Hmmm...Divinas Tu by Carlos Macias?

Actually, now that I'm listening to all of the songs (yay youtube! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3QixhwcxPX0), I think maybe it's Amarte Asi by Carlos Macias?

It's amazing that individually and in normal circumstances, neither Camila nor Daniel would even bother to contest Alonso's will - neither one cares for the money, although Camila loves the ranch. However, since each want it for the other, they are willing to fight for La Malquerida to the end.

Iago was definitely pouting when Pablo and Caye were talking. I could almost see him kick the dirt in frustration, LOL. When Rocio's truth comes out, I am betting he will do everything in his power to become the 'golden' child. However, I feel that Cayetano will be angry at Rocio and not at Pablo, which will again deflate Iago's sails.

Re the voice mail message from Nat: Daniel said he had a message he hadn't noticed and didn't know why, since his phone was on the whole time and he didn't hear it ring. Cami said "well, this area doesn't have the best reception all the time."

Nanette- Here are the song listings. Anita added it to the Shine the Light post, but I have added one more song.

UA: if you mean the Cam/Dan break up, I meant when Cam found out Andres was Dan. I have too much respect for site to post spoilers and I never know what's coming up on the show, so can't inadvertently post any. You can be 100% confident that any comments that I post and I don't make clear where they are coming from are my own predictions, thoughts, opinions.

I think the song might be Divina Tu. If it plays again, I'll note it. My hair person wants to know.

Nanette- I'm betting it's 'Amarte Asi' that bugs you. 'Divina Tu' is pretty mellow throughout and usually used for love scenes between Cam and Dan, like 'Hombre Mas Hermoso'. While 'Amarte Asi' is the theme they used a lot while Cam and Dan were broken up and also during other bad times for them. In any case those two songs are by the same artist, so maybe his voice in general bugs you.

As for Yago pouting, yes I noticed it too. He really needs to get over this middle child syndrome. Cayetano isn't treating Pablo any better than he treats the other two. Just the other day he totally let Yago's bad behavior slide, and practically slapped him on the back with pride for boinking the secretary and keeping it on the down low.

Paquita - Marvelous recap. Thanks for all the detail and vocab. All the legal stuff blows by me, but you make it all so clear.

Seeing Gussie, or any woman, grovel like that is tough to watch. Dio is getting worse and worse in his delight in humiliating her.

Camila, I get that Dio saved your life. But for pete's sake, Daniel has told you a zillion times Dio is behind the hitman that killed his wife and child. So enough already about him saving "your" life. Dan's told you why he did it. Believe him and give it a rest.

I think the idea of Dio lusting after her is too gross for Cami to accept. Every time Dan mentions it, or Dio gives her a creepy vibe, she looks like she wants to hurl, then she changes the subject. She hasn't even been able to say it out loud that Dio has the hots for her, if you've noticed.

And you do have to admit it would cause quite an impression on you if someone jumped in front of a herd of stampeding fighting bulls, picked you up and made sure you were safe, then took a hit for you. I mean, he had no idea he was going to get out of that alive. Not many people would be able to totally disregard that.

Especially at the idea that it was the motive for marrying Augustina in the first place.

When the day comes that he makes the move I hope Camila still has a good left hook.

Vivi: I think that is the song. And don't get me wrong, I like his voice, there's just a note he hits that's a little loud and then he sustains it for a bit (I sing a bit myself, and I'm very fond of holding the note).

Dio is going to be even more abusive to Gussie being in the closer quarters of his house. Flaco suspects that Gussie wanted Cam to stay with her and Dio because she's afraid to be alone with him.

Could be. However, she also wants to break up Camila and Daniel and El Diablo would be her accomplice in that.

Vivi- thank you for the phone last I am excited to get home and look for some of them on the computer. But what is the main theme song?

OMG I really am not drunk at work! Song list, not phone last.

Sure, you're not drunk RlaO, sure... ;-)

Cuando Manda el Corazon” by Vicente Fernandez is the main theme song.

I had an autocorrect the other day on a text on my reply to someone, 'I can do tomorrow', but it autocorrected to 'I can do torrero'.

Off Topic- Quien Eres Tu:
For those who are interested, Novelas Lounge has the first two episodes of Quien Eres Tu, with clear English subtitles, on their site:http://novelalounge.com/nn/2013/01/02/quien-eres-tu-capitulos-1-y-2/

I forgot to record the 2nd episode, so I went hunting for it.

Weighing in quickly. Saw the epi, read the comments. Paquita--you never fail to delight. Gracias por todo, todito.

My take on the Hissy-Dio congress (and I don't mean the one on Capitol Hill). ITA with you, UA. It's all about physical gratification. I don't think there is a jealous grain in either Hissy or Dio's pile of sand. They are having a good time living it up. True, they went through some rough spots when everyone was changing sides and trying to double cross each other. But now that they think they are victorious they are exuberant--and this is the way they demonstrate it. I don't think Dio has ever hidden the fact that his ultimate conquest is Camila. Hissy seems to be a woman who doesn't really need a man to meet her needs, but if one is handy, she'll use him. Run, Cayetano, Run--no, don't we want to see you taken down several pegs.

Ay, Vivi--Which Song did you Add???

Another thing I noticed in a scene with Dio and the others in the living room day before yesterday. When Cam 'n Dan leave to go change out of their Burying Al clothes, there's a shot of Dio sitting on the couch and his eyes FOLLOW Camila all the way out, all the while trying to look all casual--creepy. I think he's going to use Gussie's feelings about Dan being a bad influence on and just plain bad for Camila to feed her lies--no. 1 last night about putting the idea of Hissy turning the bull loose.

RLO--so funny about the locked door. Gussie was really pumping that handle. And oh how many times we have wished for doors to be either locked or unlocked at critical moments (for us....that is).

Isa and Dio are totally turned on by each other's badness. They don't want a relationship with each other, they don't trust each other. But the sex is awesome.

I, for one, am looking forward to Cayetano and Isa's relationship and the ensuing revelation that she's a viper. I love how he's 'there' for her as she turns to him in her hour(s) of need. He will justify why she is entitled to Malquerida because he wants to boink her really bad. Then he'll leave his wife and they will be hot and heavy, I'm sure his sex life is totally stale with Rocio by now. Then Isa will reveal her true colors and Cayetano will be so shocked that he was fooled by her. No puede ser!

Anita- I'll have to go back and watch that scene with Dio's eyes following Cami. Eeewwww!!

The song that I added was the sad love theme for Dan and Miriam.

cathyx--Cayetano is in for a VERRY big suprise cause once Hissy gets her Komodo Dragon claws into La BV, she's going to drop him like a hot chili pepper (and probably step on him, too).

ok, thx, Vivi--will add it to OSL next time I update it.

Anita, for me, waiting for the Cayetano revelation is more exciting than seeing Isa getting caught for murder.

Yes, I am loving the Cayetano plot lines too. I really really hope he rises to the occasion and still considers Pablo his hijo.
