Telemundo y más - Week of February 25 - Discuss among yourselves

¡Hola a todos! I just got back from a great trip to Mexico. I was part of a group that was looking at birds, butterflies and plants in the Mexican states of Colima, Jalisco, Michoacán and Mexico.

For fans of Corazón Valiente, we spent a couple of days outside Valle de Bravo, where some of the action in that novela took place. It's a popular vacation spot for the wealthy. Here are some pictures of the town, the church and the reservoir.

We also went to two of the reserves where the Monarch butterflies winter. This was really amazing. There were literally millions of butterflies in the trees. Here are some pictures of the Monarch reserves.

I'm not actually watching any of the novelas right now so over to you.

Wow, those monarch butterflies are amazing! Thank you for sharing these photos. The town looks lovely as well.

LA PATRONA - capitulo 34 LIBRES! - PART 1

Gaby frees Lucho. He thanks her and says she is the first person eevr to have done sth good to him. She wants to free Constanza as well. He says they have no time, they have to escape and he is sure Coni is already dead. That pisses Gaby off and she declares again she will find Coni. She adds that if he wishes to, he can go. "Adios Lucho" she says and turns around. He calls himself imbecil for what he's going to do and he follows her meekly. They grab blankets, put them in water and enter Coni's room. Lucho grabs her and they escape from fire. They find fire-free lugar in the kitchen where Casanova is hiding. He attacks Lucho with a knife becuase he has Casanova's wife. Lucho dazes him. Gaby doesn't want to leave him unconscious on the floor but Lucho reminds her Casanova is a psycho rapist and it'd be better if they escape themselves. They get out of there because Gaby smells gas. Lucho works his magic again on an old lock and they are able to escape from explosion. They are very happy they are free.

In the meantime, Alex with Ricardo talk to Max. They decide to start an investigation the next day because Alex insists on it despite Ricardo's lack of faith.

Irene is mean to Patricia. She accuses her of flirting with Alex. Pati is fed up with her sister's nastiness and leaves the table. Irene and Pati's parents and Antonia with the senator join them. Bi***y Irene spills the beans of that chamaco Suarez talking to Ricardo and Alex. Antonia tries to work her magic of persuasion on both of them but Alex isn't going to have it. He leaves the table. The mayor receives the call from Chacon about the fire. Alex hears it, screams GABRIELA and runs away. Ricardo follows him. Irene is super furious Alex went to that maldita loca.

At the same time, Gertrudis runs away with some files. One nurse tries to stop her by saying she cannot abond the ship as its capitan. One-eyed bandid answers she doesn't care, she is only a directora. She runs away nonetheless.

Fransisca hears the news on the radio I guess. She cries. She is afraid sth bad has happened to Gabriela. Max tries to calm and console her.

The next day, our free Musketeers celebrate their freedom. Lucho reminds both women they aren't safe becuase of the search. They have to hid themselves. They sleep in a barn. Lucho wants to "buy" some things. He goes to the church and steals some wallets from old ladies. I know that's not good but the scenes were simply hillarious. Believe me :):) And there was the moment, just a few seconds, where Lucho asks God for his forgiveness with his eyes. That was marvels :):) Lucho later also steals from and old lady again a few oranges and other fruits.

LA PATRONA - CAP. 34 - PART 2

Alex and Ricardo arrive at the manicomio. When Alex hears there is no trace of Gabriela, he wants to get in. Ricardo and Chacon barely hold him. The next day, Alex is still there and together with Ricardo search the institution. They get to the catacombes and cannot stand the stinch. They see the way Gaby was marking the passing time when she was there. But they don't notice all the names she wrote on the wall. Ricardo is taken aback seeing the conditions. This is a violation of human rights he declares. He is going to do sth. Yeah, right. Rolling my eyes :):) Alex pities a poor soul who was kept there. If only you knew WHO was there....

A body of a woman was found. Alex sees the medallion and breaks down because he thinks the burn body is Gabriela. He remembers when she got the medallion from Tigre. Her mother wore it on the day of her death. That scene convinces Alex Gaby is really dead.

Fransisca and Max arrive and hear bad news. Alex shows them Gaby's medallion. Fran starts crying.

Antonia and Irene are thrilled Gaby is dead. When Alex hears it when he gets home, he is furious. He shouts that maybe they want to throw a party to celebrate. Both witches say YES because according to Irene, Gaby was the cause of Julia's death. Antonia adds that because of Gaby, Fernando is dead. Rolling my eyes. Alex says maybe Gaby is gone but she will always be in his heart because she's the only woman he's ever loved. That look of Irene :):) Alex grabs Anotnia's purse. He wants to inform David of his mother's death. Antonia insists SHE is David's mother. Alex calls his nephew and tells him malas noticias.

Later, he goes to the club and starts drinking. He's is in a poor condition. Ricardo listens patiently. Manuel comes over to the tables and says he wants to leave the town. He endured many things but he cannot overcome Gaby's death. Lucho listens to everything attentively in the background. Later Manuel and Macario bring drunk Alejandro to home. It's simply a deja vu. The same happened to Fernando. Irene is furious. La maldita loca is dead but yet, she causes destruction. Antonia advises her to be very patient with her husband. In his room, Alex starts crying. He misses Gaby. He cannot believe she is gone. But he deserves that. He doesn't want any luck. He will simply breath and survive up to the time when he will join her. Is it very malicious of me that I enjoy his suffering? I hope he gets everything bad that's thrown at him. As he said, he deserves it.

The senator talks with Chacon. He reminds him how he helped him with his career. He tells him about Constanza. He wants him to find her. Later they talk again we know that Romina, Constanza and that con artist Lucho Vampa are officially missing. In addition to the coward Gertrudis of course.

In the meantime, Gaby and Coni discuss what they are going to do next. Gaby says she needs mucho
dinero. Coni answers back she is rich and what's her also belongs to Gaby. But they need to go to New York to get the money. Lucho returns from the city and brings Gaby and Coni some warm clothes and tequilla. He also delivers some news. Gertrudis has escaped and Gaby is presumed dead. He says a guy close to him in age with dark hair recognised her medallion. They say it must be Romina. Gaby calls Alex her enemy. Lucho says the guy was really devastated when hearing of her death. Gaby and Lucho drink tequilla. He says he thinks Gaby trusts him. She says apparently she does. They make a pact. Gaby will tell him about Alex and in return Lucho will tell her how it happened nobody cared for him.

LA PATRONA - CAP. 34 - PART 3

Max is sad because of Gaby's death. He wants to avenge her. Fran forbids him by saying there is only two of them left. Gaston advises her to leave the town. At that time, Tigre's picture fells down on a cupboard. Fran feels his presence.

Gertrudis shows up at the senator’s home.

Fran and Max attend Gaby's funeral. She accusses Alex of abandoning her. Antonia and David arrive. The spoiled little brat asks what Fran and Max are doing her. He wants them to get out. Only he has the right to grieve because despite the fact that Gaby was a crazy murderer, she was also his mother. Max calls him a sellout. He's angry David conviniently forgot everything The Beltrans have done to them.
I wanted to smuck the little chamaco. I hope he suffers a great deal when the truth comes out about his beloved abuela :):)

Gaston is also at the cementary but he stays away. He says he cannot stand the sight of Antonia. He calls Gaby La Patrona and hopes she rests in peace. Suddenly Gaby appears and asks senor periodista how he is. Gaston is in shock.

Enjoy the weekend :):)

Greetings form snowy Poland :):)

JEAN'S PHOTOS:

Jean- Thank you for sharing your lovely Valle de Bravo photos with us. They recently featured the location in Amor Bravío, as one of the couples was honeymooning there. They weren't there during the time of the butterflies, but the town and the lakes looked amazingly beautiful, nonetheless. It looks like you had a wonderful time on your trip. Welcome back!

La Patrona - Friday

a picto summary is posted here,
http://foro.telenovela-world.com/n4/read-t.php?f=1235&i=3255&t=3255

thanks so much M. from Poland for your most wonderful summary for Friday's show,
and for Thursdays show, that's posted at the end of last weeks blog page.

Jeans photos,

great photos Jean!
that must have been amazing to see the butterflies like that.

LA PATRONA

Since two people died in the fire, I thought I'd update the death list. I've also tried to capture Gabriela's venganza list of lobos.

Death List

Marcelo (Alejandro's and Fernando's father)
Marcos (Antonia's second husband)
Pascual Duartes
Julia Montemar
Inocensia (Gaston's novia)
Fernando Beltran
El Tigre
Leonardo Guillen
2 miners
Gaby's unborn baby
Milagros
Constanza's 2 lawyers
Romina
Casanova

Gabriela's Venganza Lobos List

Antonia Beltran Guerra
Anibal Villegas
Macario
Lagarto Chacon
Ramon Izquierdo
Irene Montemar
Julio Montemar
Gertrudis Aguirre
Alberto Espino

Were Ricardo and Romina on the Venganza List? Please add to the list if there are lobos I've missed.

What a great scene when Ale told Antonia and Antonia 2.0 that they just didn't get it and that Gaby would be in his heart forever.

David has grown very tall, like his father Fernando, and he still has that face you want to push in. He's acting like a spoiled brat, but, in his defense, Antonia has lied to him, manipulated him and over-indulged him since he was a little boy. It's no wonder he hates los Suarez and acts the way he does. I think poor Gaby is in for a shock if she tries to talk with him soon.

Can't wait to hear what Gertrudis has to say to AniMal in the next ep. During the fire when she was gathering up files, she said they were worth "millions". Maybe blackmail?

M - thank you for the great recap. I had missed the part about our Musketeers going to NY to get Constanza's money.

And shame on Lucho stealing from defenseless old ladies and the church offering plate. I guess he sees his need as greater than theirs.

Beth

La Patrona -

great comments Beth,

I was surprised that at such a catastrophic fire they didn't really come up with many dead, and of course there was the unknown guy running around on fire that didn't look too healthy.

on the Lobos list, I did a screen capture on the original list that Gabriela did in the catacombs (which may be different now), but Gertrudis is not on that list, also of note is that Irene was third behind Antonia and Anibal.
that list can be found here,
http://i248.photobucket.com/albums/gg167/metervik/La%20Patrona/28d_zps7981c9dd.jpg

on M's Thursday recap, I also noted that Antonia, rather than destroying right there, Constanza's signed confession, she seemed to hang on to it. I wonder if she will keep it for insurance against Anibal.

yes, Antonia looked very proud of her new project, David

and yes, shame on you Lucho, this isn't exactly robin hood stuff stealing from old ladies and churches, Lucho is actually a very untrustworthy person, and his bond with Gabriela may be a first for him.
(he is fun to watch)

Gabriela reminds me a lot of Teresa in LRdS.

La Patrona,

deb, you are welcome :):)

Beth, I think Lucho was simply Lucho with the stealings. He is a con artist afterall. But I was taken aback when after the stealigs, he had his communion.

About our three Musketeers going to NY: it surprised me a little because Macario killed those lawyers in Mexico city. But on the other hand, Coni's uncle lived there and the lobos cannot forsee what's going to happen there. And our heroes must go to the USA as illegal immigrants. They cannot use their legal documents. You know, the dead, the presumed dead and the missing ones must stay dead or missing...

The Venganza list:
In this picture summary of cap. 28 http://foro.telenovela-world.com/n4/read-t.php?f=1235&i=1591&t=1591#reply_1591 there is a list of the lobos. And I do think the order carries some importance. Gaby will start from the bottom up to the top. But it still lacks Gertrudis.

LA PATRONA:

Great recap, M. I'm really enjoying this new phase of the novela. There are so many possibilities.

For those who didn't like Lucho's robberies, remember, Lucho is Lucho. He's a thief and a swindler. We shouldn't expect him to do anything but rob little old ladies. At least not yet. I get the feeling he's going to change over time, through Gaby's influence, to be more honest, more understanding and giving, less carrying a chip on his shoulder. I'm anxious to hear his story, which he's supposed to tell to Gaby.

So the thing is, what if he becomes good, and starts getting attracted to Gaby? And would she ever forgive Alejandro? I sort of think she would, and this could drive Lucho into evilness again, if she chose Alejandro over Lucho. Okay, this is all wild speculation, and far in the future, but this is why I'm happy with the new turn in the show, so many possibilities.

LA PATRONA:

M, you read my mind, we both said "Lucho is Lucho"!

MUCHÍSIMAS GRACIAS, JEAN

Jean, your photos were wonderful. Regarding the Monarchs, some years ago some friends and I rented a cabin over Thanksgiving weekend. We saw the Monarchs on trees at Big Sur. See:

http://www.bigsurcalifornia.org/monarchs.html

It's a simply unforgettable experience to see those beautiful creatures and so many in one place.

How's your Italian coming along?

LA PATRONA

Thanks so much, M, for your wonderful recaps!

M, I don't think it's that mean of you to enjoy Alejandro's suffering. I enjoyed it a bit myself. He's supposed to be so intelligent, but he didn't seem to remember when Gaby told him they were drugging her to induce crazy behavior. He should have remembered that when he saw her in the nuthouse four years later. And, he's supposed to be an important person in este pueblito de porquería. Why couldn't he insist on seeing her? Instead he meekly let Doctora Vampira tell him no over and over again.

M, I loved "Free Musketeers"!

Beth, I was also surprised when Lucho took communion. I didn't blame him for stealing. He, Gaby, and Constanza are practically starving. He didn't take all the old woman's groceries, just some fruit and what looked lika squash.

Maybe I didn't hear correctly, but I thought what Constanza said to Gaby was about going to NYC to meet up with her uncle, who would surely be searching high and low for her. But she saw the newspaper in the nuthouse that said he died, and that they were looking for the heir. Oh, well. We did get to see that very dedicated lawyer who explained the terms of the will to Ricardo and Patti. So, presumably, when they get to NYC, this guy will be there.

Thanks, Novelera.
The biology of Monarchs is so interesting. Research has shown that the Monarchs in Mexico come mostly from the Midwest. As you saw, Western Monarchs winter in small roosts along the coast. A couple of years ago, I saw a lot of Monarchs in some Eucalyptus trees in a vacant lot just off of West Cliff Drive in Santa Cruz. The Monarchs from the East Coast migrate to Florida and then no one knows where they go!!!

Just about to start the Italian. I spoke so much Spanish in Mexico, I need to take a little break to let it recede as it were.

Welcome back, Jean!

And thank you so much for posting those amazing photos for us. It sounds like you had a wonderful experience.

I'm anxious to hear how it goes with your Italian. I know exactly what you mean about taking a little break before plunging into the study of a different language, especially one that is SO close to Spanish that it is a real challenge to keep the two apart.

It's great that you had a chance to use your Spanish in Mexico. Was it an international group or mostly anglos?

LA PATRONA:

Hombre de Misterio,
thank you very much :):)

I also noticed our joint phrase :):) As they say: Great minds think alike :):)

About Lucho and him robbing little old ladies: I think there is more to that. Afterall, he didn't spend several months volountarily in manicomio for the sheer pleasure of seeing Gertrudis every day :):) When he heard about Gaby, she immediately picked his interest. That's why he came up with the cucarachas stuff :)

novelera,
you are welcome :):)

About Alex: I really enjoy every wrong goings-on when he is concerned. He was stupid enough to let the lobos do so many awful things to Gaby, he didn't protect her, and what's worse, he didn't believe her and in her, then let him suffer with that cow Irene and her insecurities in tow. To be honest, I'm really in for the HEA but with Lucho, not Alex. He would have to invent a cure for cancer for Gaby to forgive him.

About our three free Musketeers: maybe there will be four after Gaby reveals herself to Gaston? What about Manuel? He wants to leave the town...

LA PATRONA

Thanks Deb and M for the website info. I'm so new to Telemundo, I was not aware of it until Deb posted her great pictorials.

Gabriela's Venganza List (as written in the catacombs)

Antonia Guerra
Anibal Villegas
Irene Montemar
Julio Montemar
Macario
Lagarto
Alberto Espino
Ramon Izquierdo

Maybe this is the beginning of Alejandro's punishment and suffering for his doubts and rejection of Gaby. His guilt is extreme now (he should have believed her, he could have gotten her a lawyer, etc, etc, etc), but when the truth comes out about the catacombs, he may become a raging alcoholic like Fernando. Ale isn't my favorite galan, but I think he's going to be redeemed....

Beth

Monarchs -

thank you so much novelera,
for that link,

the life cycle of the Monarch butterfly is truly amazing,
who would have thought, that this yearly migration takes generations, duh,
not a telemundo galan for sure,
or me.

EL ROSTRO DE LA VENGANZA -- viernes

Here's what I remember:

Who is Eva?
In spite of Valeria's repeated lies and evasions, the worst-kept secret in the world is revealed in the very last scene: Alicia Ferrer is Eva Samaniego! She shows herself to Federico Samaniego. (Ezequiel and his mother have probably guessed the truth about Alicia too.)

Who is Rafaela?
It is Ezequiel's mother who finally recognizes the lawyer, Rafaela: she turns out to be the disgruntled daughter of a servant who worked for the Alvarado family years ago. Rafaela resents the way Ezequiel treated her mother and she wants to get even with him.

Martín doesn't know Alicia's secret but he has caught her in a lie about the letters. And he is very troubled when Laura reveals Alicia's close connection to Valeria. Martín loves Alicia but if she won't be honest with him, he's not sure they have a future together. He needs time to sort things out ... [If I were Laura, I'd be booking a flight to Barcelona or Buenos Aires right now. I suspect Alicia has an anger management problem.]

Natalia rushes into Carolina Pinto's apartment brandishing a gun and demanding the plan of the Samaniego mansion. Carolina manages to get the gun away from her, and neither woman is hurt. She seems to imply that YES, she was involved in the murders but against her will; and if she tells Natalia what she knows, both of them will die.

Alex, figuring psycho Leyton has nothing to lose from another murder conviction, tries to hire him to murder Moreira, his prison assailant. But Leyton won't do it for money: he'll only go after Moreira if Alex gets even with (meaning tortures and murders) the person who burned his face -- Alicia! Alex refuses. He then tries to bribe a guard to help him set up Moreira. The guard takes his money but says it's not enough.

Will the guard come through for Alex? Will Alex take Leyton up on the Faustian bargain he has been offered? Or will Martín intervene before it's too late?

...Because Martín has gotten wind of Alex's plans. He is anxious to stop his friend from ruining his life. He asks Tomás for permission to see Alex. [Tomás's role is all this is so weird -- why does he have so much power? He is like the Troll under the bridge.] Tomás mentions that he has heard that Martín and Alicia are having problems and wants to know what's going on. Martín's not happy that Alicia is confiding in Tomás about their love life. He has no intention of telling him anything!

EL ROSTRO

Thanks so much, NovelaMaven. I'm trying to watch this occasionally as it lurches toward the final.

EL ROSTRO DE LA VENGANZA

De nada, Novelera. I'll try to provide brief plot updates when I can.

If anyone else out there wants to try doing a brief plot summary now and then, that would be great.

Martin realizes that he is marrying someone he doesnt know and suggests they take a break.
In prison, Alex asks Layton to kill Moreira, the man who raped him. In return, serial killer wants the head of Alice.
The next day, Rafaela is presented in the Bank to convince Martin to sue. Luci interrupts her and realizes who she is. The daughter of a maid who worked for years at home of Ezekiel.

Heartbroken, Fed swears to leave in peace, but first begs Aliva to confess that she really murdered those six children 20 years ago.

In prison dMart tries to talk Alex out of killing Moreira. Killing him will bring more problems and more years in prison. Alex says he will either kill Moreira or himself. dMart agrees to help him.
That afternoon, Nats apartment, Tom tells Nat that Alivas last name is Farias and not Ferrer, the daughter of the Professor of chemistry of the San Gabriel. Natalia is shocked, Aliva cannot be daughter of Farias, because she met the real one years ago......

MADE IN CARTAGENA – Lunes, Part 1

Another SUPER tense episode, with tons of action! We begin with Candelario, lying in bed. The camera pulls back to reveal Calbache and an associate, both with guns pointed at his head! Cande wakes up, coolly surveys the scene, and before two words are said, he overpowers, the guard, grabs his gun and points it at Calbache! Calbache is cool as ice. He tells Cande if you kill me, you'll be dead, too. I've got six guys right outside the door. Cande cracks the door. It's true. Now listen, says Calbache. I want to show you who your Godfather Harvey really is. He takes out his cell phone, plays Cande the tape in which Harvey says if you have to kill somebody, kill Candelario, he's been a problem for me lately anyway, messing up what I'm using Flora for. Cande is shocked. Calbache then REALLY drops the bomb. Cande asks what do you want? What do I want? I want the Santa Helena, I want the Basurto back, and I want revenge on Harvey. We flash back about ten or so years, Calbache is hiding behind some furniture, as Harvey is arguing with Calbache's father, who owned the Basurto. All of a sudden, Harvey wheels, opens fire, kills Calbaches's Dad. Another guy is in the room, asks Harvey, why did you have to do that? Harvey kills the other guy, smiling a smug smile. That other guy was Cande's (and Flora's and Dixon's) father!!!!! So, asks Calbache, we have a common enemy. Are you with me?

Back at the headquarters, Watusi tells Harvey he doesn't need the money anymore (this isn't really true, he just doesn't want to work for Harvey, be beholden to him). But Harvey tells him, too late. I already paid for the surgery, and shows him the bill. But, says Watu, I told you I wasn't sure yet. Tough. You better repay me, and with 7% interest! Watu walks out glumly. Later, he tells Celina, who advises him to ask Don Vicente for help. He's reluctant, but by the end of the episode, he's in Vicente's office talking to Silvie, waiting for Vicente.

Sofi spent the night with Pablo in her bed. But they've overslept, and Matilda is knocking at the door! Pablo jumps into the closet, Sofi gets up, says give me more time. Meanwhile, Marcos has met Dixon again, says I don't have any more money for the moto, but I have a rich uncle, we can go to his house, you can empty out the place! So they got to his uncle's place. His uncle, of course, is Vicente! They're in the house, Dixon starts stuffing statuettes in his backpack, sees a safe, can't open it. But Harvey is watching! Yes, Agua Mala has finally broken into Vicente's security system, and can monitor several of the rooms. Harvey is livid, what's Dixon doing there? Not only that, Flora is there, too, as well as Vicente. We get a bit more keystone cop stuff, with everybody just missing everybody else. In the end, Pablo gets out without being seen. Flora runs smack dab into Dixon, who says, what are YOU doing here? Well, I came to visit my friend Sofi, what are YOU doing here? Dixon says, I'm also visiting with a friend (Marcos, who at this point is up in Sofi's room, planning Pablo's escape). Here comes Vicente, Harvey talks through Flora's mike, say you don't know him, which she does. Dixon says he's a friend of the cousin (Marcos). Harvey then calls Dixon's cell, Dixon, come to the club, right now! Dixon leaves.

MADE IN CARTAGENA, Part 2

Flora is in Vicente's office, when Colonel Torres comes in, he wants to discuss the case. Harvey tells Flora to eavesdrop. As Torres and Vicente talk in an adjoining room, Flora (and Harvey) hears them say without testing the blood sample, they don't have much to go on. Vicente thinks it's be difficult to get the guests to come in, many of them aren't even in Colombia. Flora drops her backpack, and Torres asks, is someone out there? Yeah, says Vicente, just a friend of my daughter's. So they go into another room. Harvey now tells Flora, go back into the office. Now sit in the chair in front of the desk. Agua Mala records a few seconds of this, then puts in on a loop, making the security system think Flora's been sitting there the whole time. But really, she can now move freely about the office. She sees the safe. No way would Vicente put the Santa Helena in a little safe in full view, right in her office, she says. Wait, says Harvey, maybe he WOULD, to throw everyone off. Open the safe. Huh? How can I do that? Agua Mala says put on the rubber gloves. Now look in your backpack, take out a little tube, open it. It's a spray. She sprays green stuff on the keypad of the safe. Now take out another little tube, it's a black light, it lights up the keys. The think is, you can see fingerprints on the keys, to see which have been pressed more than others, and in which order. Well, a person can't, but Agua Mala's computer analyzes the numbers, as Flora getting more and more nervous. Finally, he gives her the combo. She enters it, and the safe opens! It's a little hard to get it open, but there's the Santa Helena! Harvey was right.

Okay, says Flora, you know where it is, I'm done, right? No, says Harvey, end the nightmare, take it now! She can't. She hesitates, hesitates, and by now, Vicente and Sofi are on their way, and Flora has to close the safe, but it won't close! Just in time, she finds a little button, and dripping with sweat, and looking guiltier than sin, she's standing against the wall, the safe closed, a forced smile on her face, as Sofi and Vicente enter. They don't notice.

MADE IN CARTAGENA, Part 3

Sofi tells Flora she trusts her totally, like a sister, when she's in France, can she look after Vicente. Flora promises she will. Later, Sofi tells her Dad she told this to Flora, and Vicente and Flora agree it's a little strange for them, with Sofi gone (but they're both sort of happy to have to remain close).

Back at headquarters, Harvey tells the crew he can't kill Calbache because higher ups would take Harvey out. But now that they know where the Santa Helena is, they can kill Vicente! Blatcho is given the job, with a rocket gun. He goes to a balcony along the beach drive, and they set it up so that traffic is blocked, Vicente will have to get out of his car right there. Vicente and Flora have dropped off Sofi at the airport, and are riding back together. They're discussing how Sofi wanted Flora to look after Vicente. Flora is moved at how warm Vicente is, loves his daughter, has always been kind to Flora.

Flora hears through her mike, Harvey says, get out of the car. Now! What? Vicente wonders who she was talking to, she just says, she was just thinking. She tells Vicente to drop her off here, at the beach, her boyfriend is meeting her. They drop her off. Then the car continues, stopping soon thereafter at the manufactured tie up. Now if only Vicente will get out of the car. Blatcho, high overhead on a balcony, is having a little trouble with the bazooka, when here comes Mireya. What are YOU doing here? She pulls out a high powered rifle. Flora is hit with a realization. She KNOWS why Harvey said to get out of the car. NOOOO! She frantically calls Vicente, can you come back and pick me up? Sure, Flora, I'm only a few hundred yards ahead, there was a traffic jam. She runs. Blatcho says to Mireya, that rifle won't penetrate the armor. Oh yes it will, she says. It's new. She starts firing at the front of the SUV, just as Vicente was getting out of the car, and Flora was arriving. Chaos ensues. Vicente goes down. Flora sinks down, no, no, no, Don Vicente, open your eyes! You HAVE to be okay! He's put on a stretcher, she goes with him to the hospital, praying with all her might.

Back at headquarters, Harvey calls Blatcho, give me the news. Well, boss, Mireya showed up. WHAT! Well, anyway, did you kill him? Is Vicente Dominguez dead? We'll have to wait until tomorrow to find out!!!!!!!!!

Thanks to Novelamaven and Novelaman for the "El
Rostro" recaps. I was so happy to see them. I have a friend who tries to explain what is happening to me, but
his English is not that good YET.

La Patrona - Monday, 25Feb13

a picto summary is posted here,
http://foro.telenovela-world.com/n4/read-t.php?f=1235&i=3611&t=3611

the original Lobos list in the catacombs was 8, and now it's twelve, added are
Ricardo
Alejandro
Gertrudis
and, who was the other?

I didn't really get David's and Max's conversation, when he went to pick up the gold, is there still an underlying friendship here?

MADE IN CARTAGENA:

Thanks Hombre for the recap. What a nail-biter the episode was last night, and to end on that cliffhanger... wow!

Pasion Prohibida

I didn't write a recap for friday or monday, because I feel like nothing new is happening.

Bianca and Ariel look kind of happy together, Bruno gives Bianca these long stares and takes advantage of every chance he gets to touch her (which she innocently allows, as far as I can tell), the servants with their gossip, Nina with her child-like mannerism and so on...

The latest news is that Penelope is about to give birth, I hope everything is alright with the baby. Also, as expected, Flavia is not moving in with her lover because their affair is now common knoledge. Good job, Bianca, thsi way Flavia will be close enough to analyze every single interaction you and Bruno have.

And talking about Bruno, is he out of his mind, helping Bianca with her training at the gym? And she must realize by now there is something more going on there, everytime they are close one another sparks fly.

LA PATRONA:

The last of the twelve is Prudencia, Julio's wife and Irene's mother.

I would also have thought Romina would be on the original list, but that doesn't matter now.

PASIÓN PROHIBIDA

Hi AdrianaNoel. thanks for the update.

I find it hard to read Bianca. even when she seemed distraught over Ariel leaving for a business trip, I was not convinced; but Bruno was. I love how he's just mesmerized by her, flaws (not physically) and all.

EL ROSTRO

Thanks, NovelaMan. Nice to see you back.

Just to add to your helpful recap ...

Natalia not only knew Farias's daughter (they were in college together) but she assures Tomás that SHE IS DEAD! So --

It looks like Tomás believed Alicia was Farias's daughter.

It opens up the possibility that Alicia killed the daughter and stole her identity. Yikes! (Or am I making stuff up again?)

MADE IN CARTAGENA -- lunes

What a great recap, Hombre. I especially appreciated your explanation of Flora sitting in the chair and how that was going to be looped into the security video. I was completely puzzled by that.

So Harvey just gets uglier and uglier. Every detail we learn about him makes him look a little worse.

By the way, the interest on the loan to Watusi is 7% per week. How many shell necklaces does that come to?

Did Candelario actually kill that guy? Did he break his neck? He looked pretty dead to me. If only Cande's mental prowess were as impressive as his physical prowess ... I hope he believes Cabache and joins the war against Harvey. But I don't see a happy ending for Cande, whichever side he is on.

LA PATRONA - CAP. 35 PART I:

Gaby approaches Gaston at the cementary and says funerals are odd, especially if they are your owns. She asks Senor periodista if he remembers her. Gaston is in shock but he is very happy to see Gaby alive. She has seen her son for the 1st time in 4 years. She marvels how old he is now.

Fran asks what Antonia is doing her. It's Gabriela's funeral after all, they are here to pay their respects. Antonia doesn't want to leave David with these people. Alex insists on her leaving by saying now it's time for los Suarez to grieve. Antonia insists David is a Beltran. Alex takes her hand, says Vamonos Guerra and they leave. David starts crying. Later Max wants to talk to him but David says they have nothing to talk about.

Gaston asks Gaby why she doesn't want her son to see her alive. She says David is too young to keep such a big secret. Gaston says Antonia wouldn't hurt her own nieto but Gaby answers that in that case she is more afraid of other lobos. She tells him the the body is Romina. Gaston convinces her to tell at least Max and Fran she is alive. It will stop their suffering. Gaby asks him to prepare them.

Gaston tells Fran & Max Gaby is alive. They don't believe him. Fran asks how Gaby wouldn't want to hug David. Gaston says she has her own reasons. Gaby enters and asks for a hug. Max wants to know how she escaped. Fran is happy that all problems (tormenta) are behind them. She thanks Tigre for protecting Gaby. She is sure he is in heaven. Gabys restors there are many tormentas ahead of them. She wants to get revenge on all 12 enemies.

In the meantime, Lucho finds Coni with fever. He is a little angry that Gaby left him with a sick loca major. He is afraid Gaby will get caught. He complains there's a reverse of traditional roles.

David is angry at Antonia. He forbids her to talk about his mother in any way - good or bad. He doesn't care if she killed his father, grandfather or the miners. She was a courageous woman and she loved him very much. Later he talks with Alex. They both throw at each other they didn't belive in Gaby. Alex says they will have to live with that for the rest of their lives.

Gertrudis visits the senator. She wants a new manicomio. Anibal says he doesn't have such a power. If I understood this correctly, everyone in SPDO knows she escaped when the institution were burning. The one-eyed bandid threatens him with copies of checks he and his friends used to send her. He says sth about her going to Bogota.

Later, he has a conversation with Antonia. They have to find Coni before she gets to the capital city. I guess they still don't know Anibal won't get any peso from the inheritance. And they also seem to forget Coni's uncle lived in NY. Antonia tells him to hire an army of people to find Coni and to prepare a lot of checks to bribe many people. Anibal reminds her they have to prepare the checks together becuase if he goes down, she goes down with him as well.

Pati talks to Alex. She doesn't believe Gaby killed all those people, especially her father. They knew each other since they were small girls and Gaby always cared for her father.

Cow Irene is nasty to Ricardo and tells him about Pati flirting with a married man. He confronts Pati. They have a quarrel. He reminds her of their deal. Pati doesn't want to live like that any more. She wants to be loved. She hasn't betreyed him yet but she is on the verge of doing it. She will tell him when that happens with vivid details. Every other men would hit the roof at that precise moment but that moron was only willing to talk about their deal of Pati not sleeping with sb they know. At least he said sth about him being only half a man. Go to the psychologist and undergo a teraphy, you donkey!!!!! To be honest, Ricardo was quite furious when Irene spoke to him. But of course later he was his usual self with a stick in the back and those damned glasses and cries in the eyes as if he wasn't given his favourite toy. Rolling my eyes....

EL ROSTRO

I didnt watch LOS HEREDEROS but from what i did see i thought that MFs acting was clunky. She is doing much better in EL ROSTRO. It sounded like her voice broke when she asked Mateos how he didnt expect her to kill. She really convinced me during the whole conversation she had with him.

On the subject of the novela Fed and Vales penchant for killing rubbed off on Aliva. Didnt see that! Although i did think that she killed the kids out of love for dMart. The question remains....
Is Aliva killing again?

LA PATRONA, CAP.35, PART II:

Antonia has a steamy afternoon with Alberto. She is angry David grieves Gaby and still thinks about her. Alberto says it's nothing strange. She was his mother. Guerra wants David to go to Europe to forget. Alberto suggests making the trip their honeymoon. She laughs and call him stupid by ever thinking about marrying her. She says she only marries powerful men who can support her, nothing he, a gigolo, is able to do. Pot meets kettle, cougar :):):)

Gaby and Gaston arrive at the barn. Gaston and Lucho are happy to see each other. Gaston asks our con artist when he stopped eating cucarachas :):):) Coni is mal. According to Gaby, she suffers from pneumonia. They all go to Fran & Max's home. Gaby introduces Lucho and Coni. Fran says Gaby's friends are their friends. Gaby asks Fran to treat Coni because they cannot take her to hospital. Coni dreams about the time she spent in the manicomio. She remembers the 1st time Anibal got her there.

In the meantime, Fran talks with Gaby who doesn’t want to endanger them by staying there. Fran says they are los Suarez and the word “fear” is absent from their vocabulary. Gaby says she has 12 enemies. Apparently Prudencia, Ricardo, Alex and Gertrudis joined the Venganza list. Coni hears it and begs Gaby not to hurt her son. Gaby says Ricardo didn't help her, he let the lobos hurt her. Coni claims it's Anibal’s influence. She tries to plead her case by saying Gaby also was ripped off of her own son's affection. This gets to our Patrona and she agrees to leave Ricardo in peace. The Enemies of my enemies are my friends theory :):) But the rest will pay without mercy. They think how they'll get to NY.

Gaston and Lucho have a drink. Gaston speaks about himself and his life, how he ended up as a beggar. This gives Lucho an idea. He dresses himself as a beggar and goes with Gaston to town. He approaches Ricardo, Chacon and Julio whe they are having breakfast. Ricardo tells Chacon off when it's apparent he's late with making the list of the killed ones during the fire. Julio tries to defend him. He stops Chacon when he almost spills the beans about Constanza. Chacon wants to throw Lucho out but Ricardo stops him and gives our con artist some money. No one seems to recognize him.

Fran tells Max to go to the cementary and get the gold. Max encounters David there. He immediately asks him if he's going to tell everything to his abuela, the she-wolf. David tells him not to call her that and he's going to keep his childhood promise of not telling anyone about the gold. Max calls him shameless. David visits Gaby's grave. He says he cannot cry any more because he doesn't have any tears left. He claims he misses Gaby.

Gaby marvels about Tigre not telling her about the gold. Lucho says he knows sb who can help them with the pure oro. He takes the oro and asks if Gabriela trusts him.

LA PATRONA

Thanks so much, M. Another fine recap.

I think Gaby will entrust Lucho with selling the enormous gold nuggets. If he ran off with the money, he'd be out of the show. And I don't think that will happen anytime soon.

I had to laugh when Gaby, I think, said that the gold looked like enough to get them to NYC. It looked like enough gold to me to buy a mansion and a Mercedes-Benz.

I'm glad David isn't bad to the bone. I was afraid he was completely spoiled by the rich life. I loved it when he said to La Loba that, even if his mother did kill people, she loved him and he loved her back.

That was a powerful scene between Ricardo and Patti. I guess it serves the plot, but it makes no sense he doesn't go to Mexico City and see someone about his "problem". I feel sorry for Patti, but I don't like her obsession with Ajejandro.

I think Aracely is doing a great job in this novela. I haven't seen her in anything since Ambrázame muy fuerte and Vías del Amor.

I WISH Aníbal would find out soon that he wouldn't get a cent of Constanza's money - no matter what. Of course, his and Antonia's real worry is that Constanza will tell everything she knows about their evil deeds.

Loved Antonia's face when David told her to keep her nasty mouth off his mamá.

EL ROSTRO

Well, I watched the big reveal last night that Alicia/Eva is the niña monstruo. I guess it sort of made sense what she said about growing up in a den of wolves being the reason.

But how long is this show going to last. I can't believe she'll live happily ever after with Diego/Mart. And now that we know "who did it", what's the point of the rest of the episodes.

Do we know when it will end?

Are we meant to believe that Valeria has no feelings for her daughter at all? She kept her in Europe for forever and didn't seem to even crease her Botox about it.

MADE IN CARTAGENA, Martes, Part 1

Well, after yesterday's action packed episode, today was much more talking. But lots was revealed. Flora and Vicente arrive at the hospital. She got slightly hurt on her ear, which was bleeding a little. But he's in bad shape. Silvie arrives, and the doctor tells them they stopped the bleeding, but there was some damage to the spine. In the best case, he'll need a lot of rehab, but in the worst case, he could be paralyzed. Later, there's good news, he's going to fully recover, just needs the rehab. In fact, he goes home a day or two later. Both Silvie and Flora want to care for him. But Vicente allows Flora to do it, since Silvie has to work at the bank. Flora and Vicente have a deep connection, touching hands, he in the hospital bed. Silvie's jealous.

Watusi also comes to the hospital to visit Vicente, and is a little shocked to see Flora sitting at Vicente's bedside. But she gives him a look, and he stays quiet. When he leaves the room, he looks very sad, and in the corridor, Silvie asks him why. He blurts out that he used to be Flora's boyfriend. This shocks Silvie, but she has bad news for him. Flora has a new boyfriend. He begs her to describe the guy, and quickly realizes it's Agua Mala (whom Silvie and Vicente know as Ronaldo). Then, Watusi runs into Flora in the hallway of the hospital, and is really mad at her, how could you be with Agua Mala? She shoots back, I'm not, Sofi has this friend named Marcos, and he wouldn't lay off of me, so I had to invent that Agua Mala was my boyfriend. I'm not sure Watusi is convinced.

Dixon still wants money. Marcos says we could rob a jewelry store. They enter the store, Marcos puts his hand over the security camera, and Dixon pulls a gun on a woman, robbing her of her expensive necklace! Back at his hideout, Marcos says, okay, give me the bike back now. No way, says Dixon, we're just getting started, we're partners now, this is going to be great. Forget it, says Marcos, give me the bike. Nah, tough, says Dixon, it's my bike now. The door opens, and a huge tough guy, friendly with Marcos, enters (this is what I said he should do the other day). The tough guy beats Dixon to a pulp, and Marcos gets his bike back.

MADE IN CARTAGENA, Part 2

Mireya, Mireya, Mireya. She is really a piece of work. Sleeps with Harvey, sleeps with Agua Mala (out of necessity), and way back, she was with Blatcho. But she goes to visit Candelario, and sleeps with him! I think she actually likes him. In fact, she confesses this to Max. Max confesses to her that he's gay, he really loved Jhonny, hated to kill him! Cande tells Mireya some one tried to kill me (but he doesn't tell her who). He asks a lot of questions about Harvey, but plays it coy. Mireya also has a run in with Agua Mala, who threatens her about the memory card. That day Robinson was killed, you really had something to hide, didn't you? I'm still not sure he knows the truth, but he again threatens to tell Harvey, if Mireya won't be his sex object.

Imanuol, from Spain, reads the news of the attack on Vicente, calls, and finds out the security guy he hired never showed up! I'm guessing he's coming back.

Flora has HAD it with Harvey. He's told her that Calbache ordered the hit on Vicente, and called him to tell him, that's why he told Flora to get out of the car. She's barely believing this. Harvey even admits he wants Vicente dead, which mortifies Flora, even after he apologizes, says it's just because he keeps thinking about how Vicente killed Robinson. Flora says Calbache has to stop. And I want to speak with my brother. Now. Harvey reluctantly agrees, okay, we'll do it your way, I'll set it up, but you have to totally do what I say from now on, okay? She agrees (for now).

And where's Cande? He's snuck back into town, dressed as a religious fanatic soliciting donations, all black, with a long robe and a hood. He stops by Flora's rich house, and meets Belen, his Mom. He needs to talk to her. She tells him the whole house has cameras, and mikes all over the place, but none in the kitchen. So they go into the kitchen, he stays in character (and camera), and they can't be heard, so he's going to find out just what Harvey's really been up to. And we don't talk about previews in this board, but the next episode should be a doozy!

EL ROSTRO DE LA VENGANZA pt 1

Zeke asks Vale if Aliva is her daughter and she more or less confirms it. dMart and Aliva are about to do the deed but they are interrupted by Felipe who wants to talk about killing Moreira. He sees Aliva and she wants him to leave. He does and she begs dMart not to kill Moreira. dMart says this is for Alex. Zeke interrupts them and Aliva recieves a call from Vale that Zeke knows the truth about her. She leaves the penthouse and Zeke follows her. He demands an explanation.
Luci and Diana confess their love to the Alvarado family. Mom and Pop refuse. Diana says to let the pas go and that dMart and Luci are getting along. Omar accepts. When Luci leaves Omar admits to Sonia that he wants to get back together with Juanitos mom. Juan tells Sonia she has to accept that her children are growing up. Omar tells Diana that he is adopted. Diana asks if she and Dmart were adopted as well. Sonia says she gave birth to them but that they were a rape product and she loves them no matter what. Juan says he already told Dmart about this the day he made peace with him.

EL ROSTRO DE LA VENGANZA part 2

Fekipe says it is too risky to help Alex kill Moreira. dMart argues that if Alex does it he will suffer life imprisonment. Layton cant be trusted. Felipe decides that if Alex is held in suspicion he will use his contact to help free him. dMart agrees.
Layton tells Alex that if he wont let him kill Aliva then he wants 15 minutes with each of the surviving women. If Aliva isnt the killer than one of the students is. Alex agrees. Layton interrogates Nat, accuses her of being the killer, and taunts her about Alex before being carted off to his cell.
At the Alvarado Living room Luci tells Zeke about his plans to marry Diana. Brat and Eli step in the living room. A maid arrives to give Luci the wedding ring for Diana. He opens it and is horrified. Zeke opens the box and sees Marianas finger........

EL ROSTRO

I forgot to mention....

At a bar Zeke wants to know what is Alivas game. She says she loves dMart and wants to be with him forever. Zeke says that the past will catch up to her just like it did with dMart. She says she hates Zeke and Vale. Even if she has Zekes blood he was never her father. Vale stuck her in a horrible school. Her life was ruined just as much as dMarts. She suffered for 20 years like he did.ridsaid1438

EL ROSTRO -- martes

NovelaMan, why do you think it's Mariana's finger? Just curious. I assumed it was from a new victim, maybe Carolina Pinto?

MADE IN CARTAGENA -- martes

The door opens, and a huge tough guy, friendly with Marcos, enters (this is what I said he should do the other day).

Finally! Now that Marcos has started to listen to your advice, Hombre, maybe he'll stop acting like such a creep!

Great work. En serio. :)

Thank you again, NovelaMan. Enjoyed the recap. How was the finger preserved for so long? In someone's refrigerator?
Creepy!

Pasion Prohibida (Tuesday)_part 1

This was a good one!

Penelope has her baby, everything turns out fine. He is a preemie, but he still looks like a 3 months old ... heh...

The reason Penelope had her baby early is because of a fight between Flavia and Guillermo; they all meet in a restaurant where they go to celebrate Nina's recital. Guillermo is there with the guy from the gossip magazine and Flavia throws wine on his face. Ariel is very upset, later he tells Bianca this is not the way a lady should behave (doesn't he know by now that Flavia is NOT a lady?) Bianca decided that it is time for Flavia to leave the house.

Bruno fights with his girlfriend, they break up just in time for Guillermo to start hitting on her (ick). Also, the new grandfather is kind of happy to have a grandchild, he even gives him a pony, but he still hates Flavia (who, btw, is not that happy to be a grandmother).

With Flavia slapping Guillermo and Penelope going into premature labor and being in danger to lose her baby, Nina still manages to make it all about her: Flavia ruined her night (although the singing part goes on well), she is so unhappy and they ruined her night.... First Bruno scolds her a little, but it is Yair who makes her see that she is a total brat, that has everything handed to her (as opposed to Camila, who rarely has a moment of happiness); Nina has a moment of self awareness, let's see how long it will last; she convinces her dad to have a private recital for the servants. They all enjoy it, including Camila, who gets a new dress as a present, but I would feel offended, really.

Pasion Prohibida (Tuesday) - part 2

And now for the best part:
Penelope asks Bianca to go bring her some stuff from home; while there, she calls Bianca again, telling her to get rid of a box of things she still has from when she was dating Bruno. The idea that Penelope would still keep things from her ex in the brand new house her husband just got for them is silly and just a plot point, but let's just go with it...

Bianca finds the box, she smells some t-shirt that she finds in there (you know, the usual TV staple, when you smell the clothes of someone you have the hotts for) and finally finds a note from Bruno to Penelope. She decides to keep the note (!!), God knows why. It is some cheesy line, about her lips being like chocolate or something. She puts it in her pocket and forgets about it because the next day when Camila goes through the room to find the dirty clothes, she finds the note. She reads it, things it is from Bruno to Bianca (he signs it, but Penelope's name is nowhere to be seen). She just puts it on the floor and leaves with the dirty clothes.
On the hallway she finds Bruno who is upset that his shirt has some stains on it; so he undresses (brownie point for Bruno) and gives Camila the shirt. In the mean time Bianca gets out of the bedroom, she meets half naked Bruno and they start joking around.
Ariel gets out of the bathroom and finds the note on the floor (that happened quick!). He gets out of the room while reading it; B&B are in the hall still joking, we don't hear what they say, we only see that Ariel reads the note and is in shock (he, too, thinks it is from Bruno to Bianca).

I guess this will easily be explained, since the note has nothing to do with Bianca, but Ariel should really start realizing that B&B are two young people living in the same house. Things could happen (we know they will) and Ariel has already had a few moments of doubt when he found them in the cemetery hugging.
Also, in this episode, when they talk about Christmas and New Year, Ariel says they will spend a nice, quiet family holiday; Bruno instead wants to go to New York, which Bianca finds exciting.
Of course she does: she is 25, between spending the holiday with the political family that hates you and going in the greatest city in the world with hot Bruno, what would you choose?

All in all, a good episode. All these anvils about B&B are right in front of Ariel. Bruno is completely in luuuwww with Bianca, he even finds excuses for her mother and the way sh ebehaved at the restaurant, while Bianca so far is only enabling they closer by the day relationship. Flavia keeps telling her she is playing with fire, but what is a girl to do in the face of so much hotness? :)

LA PATRONA:

I agree, Lucho will probably come back (because we need his character in the show :) One thing Gaby and Coni could have done, since everyone knows Lucho loves money, why not say, if you come back with the money so we can get to New York, we promise to pay you more from the inheritance? (like $100,000, or some nice figure). Nobody seemed to think of that, and now they have to trust Lucho.

Another dumb decision, how come everyone is holed out at Francisca's house? When they were in that barn, maybe they were okay, but Gaby, Gaston and Constanza all at the Suarez house? Of course, here comes Alejandro, on errand from Valentina, to deliver something to Max. And Antonia has sent Macario.

BTW, can anyone explain how Valentina is related?

LA PATRONA:

If Gertrudis was a "good guy", Antonia would just have Macario take her out. Somehow, she won't do this to a fellow bad guy.

I can understand why Alejandro slept with Pati, but he's really made it difficult for himself to get off that enemies list now, no matter how much he loves Gaby. Sure, we know he doesn't love Irene, but this is cheating on your spouse, not exactly a quality which would endear him to Gaby.

Hombre de Misterio,
Valentina is Antonia's stepdaughter from Guerra's second marriage. When Val was little, Guerra killed her father by not giving him medicine after he saw her cheating on him with Alberto. ASAIR, she liked Alex very much.

PASIÓN PROHIBIDA

I like your take on things that I miss, AdrianaNoel. i.e. 'Of course she does: she is 25, between spending the holiday with the political family that hates you and going in the greatest city in the world with hot Bruno, what would you choose?' and him always defending Flavia.

It's just weird though that she'd go for Bruno after he's been with her sister. wish that hadn't happened.

Pasion Prohibida

Shallowgal, it is a little weird that Bianca would go for her sister's ex, but that is the least problem in this story.
Whenever I see a thing that makes me go "huh" in this TN, I remember that it is not a classic story, of good girl-good boy. Both leads are questionable, to say the least.

Bruno being with Penelope once upon a time is nowhere near as bad as Bianca being with Ariel now.

Ah well, we just have to learn to roll with it. I am so in love with B&B and their chemistry, that I am willing to go past the little details :)) If it weren't for them, no way would I watch this TN, everything that is happening is so morally wrong, I wouldn't bare it.

PASIÓN PROHIBIDA

Agreed, AdrianaNoel... B&B are the only ones keeping me interested.

PASION PROHIBIDA

"Dime" came out on itunes yesterday! Now I have a legal copy!

Oh, wow. Bruno. I've seen him in a couple other novelas, and he didn't do much for me... but in this one, sheesh! He does the "smoldering passion" thing so well, you just can't tear your eyes away...

I'm still in limbo about Bianca. Just when she's starting to win me over again (gushing about her new nephew), she does something snotty (the way she treated Camila when she accidentally knocked her phone off the table). I'm trying so hard to like her, because, as we've said over and over again, the chemistry with Bruno is amazing.

I heart Yair. I really wish he'd wise up and go for Camila... as annoying as she is sometimes, I like her 100 times better than Nina. But then, I always kind of side with the "downstairs" team in things like this. Yes, their chismes are irritating, but I would hang with them any day.

I still don't buy that anyone could be in real love with Flavia.

I'm on snow day #4 (I'm a teacher) so I've had lots of time to catch up with DVRed episodes! Anyone watching Rosario Tijeras on Unimas?

AnotherAmy

LA PATRONA

Hombre, I agree with both your comments. It is driving me crazy that everyone is hanging out at Francisca's. Although they did need to get out of the barn because of Constanza's pneumonia.

I wasn't sure if Guerra actually overheard David talking about seeing his mother or not. She sent Macario to look for Constanza. But they sure are scaring me with all those people going to Francisca's house.

ITA about Gertrudis. Why can't Guerra send Macario to bump her off. Or maybe he could just take out her other eye? [Whoa! Didn't know I was that mean; but I really hate Gertrudis.]

As M said, Valentina is Guerra's second husband's daughter by a previous marriage. She has treated the kid like crap her whole life. This actress doesn't look a bit like the younger one who was portraying her.

And I'm now fed up with Alejandro and wondering if they're going with Gabriela ending up with Lucho or someone else. The guy can't keep it in his pants. He ruined his life by falling for Irene's seduction and pregnancy trap. And now he's betraying his best friend AND feeding Patti's obsession with him. Gah! He doesn't deserve Gabriela. The problem is that I have a hard time despising him for his weakness because he's such a babe!

MADE IN CARTAGENA

Still pegadiiiita with this one! I'm really worried that Candelario isn't going to last long... even though I can't understand a word he says (thank you closed captions!), I am in love. I can't wait to see what happens when he turns against Harvey, and then perhaps Mireya will turn against him too when she finds out what he really planned to do to Candelario.

The characters in this one are fascinating! It's so well done, you never really know what's going to happen next. And I've said it before, but Carmen Villalobos has converted me into a believer--she was annoying as heck in Mi Corazon and Sin Senos, but this just goes to show how superb writing and plot can transform an actress. She is awesome in this!

LA PATRONA

I didn't catch all of the conversation between Ale and Valentina. What was the part about something in several (?6) months - her graduation from school and return to SPDO? I know they were discussing her request that he deliver a box to Max. And, yes, Valentina has always loved Ale like a big brother.

Antonia didn't skip a beat telling Macario to hightail it over to los Suarez to see what's happening after she heard David talking with Poncia. And Macario grinned like he was really going to enjoy his mission. That guy really loves his job.

So Ale (the man who can't say no) goes to los Suarez, hears a voice inside and immediately goes bonkers. His reaction told me that he's still having a hard time with Gaby's death. And maybe he also hopes that she is still alive.

Patty and Ale - ugh! No good can come from this tumble. And since we know Ale never uses protection, is Ricardo going to be a father again?

I was glad to see Prudencia walk in on Julio and his hooker. Pru had suspicions before, and now she knows. Maybe she'll confront him and make life a little miserable for him.

Antonia won't kill Gertrudis until she has all the incriminating evidence in her hands. And btw, we have never seen Coni's statement destroyed. I wonder if Antonia still has it, and why they wouldn't have burned it immediately.

Pasion Prohibida

AnotherAmy, I totally get what you are saying about JC Canela; my mom used to watch his other TN, the one with his wife, where he had that bad boy look and the other one with Carmen V. (btw, I think she is really good in Made in Cartagena, I managed to watch a few ep and I kind of dig Vicente, too).
Anyway, Canela never impressed me to much, but in this one he is perfection. I am sucker for forbidden love, so I guess that has something to do with it, too.

As for Bianca, I believe she is supposed to be a controversial lead, you never know what she will do next.
Take her love for Ariel: I am sure she does love him, but she is not IN LOVE with him; look at the moment she married him - right after her father, a man basically Ariel'd age, died. She needed a substitute and Ariel was there for her. Add the novelty and the fact that he is rich, it is easy to think that she is in love.
But using Ariel as a substitute won't keep her interested much longer; already we have hints of her true self: the car, the trip to NY. She is a young woman, in need of a young man, not a 50 years old with two grown kids.
Monica Spears is very good in this, too. She has played some interesting parts in the past (a girl with Asperger and a girl who has a deadly illness), but I believe she is really good in this, too.

EL ROSTRO

NovelaMaven Carolina has darker skin than Mariana the finger did not look tanned.
Also anyone remember during the Samaniego class reunion there was a crazy guy obsessed with water bottles? Has Telemundo forgotten about him? Maybe hes so crazy that he is the killer!

Thanks for Patrona updates!Novelera your recap made me LOL and work.
I was a nervous wreck last night watching the group huddles at Hotel Suarez.
Alejandro is one dummy , but he is HD TV cutie!
Gabby: your just fabulous.

PASIÓN PROHIBIDA

I'm struggling with this one. I guess I'm the contrarian here, because I don't feel Bruno and Bianca together that much. It's not that the actors aren't working at showing us their growing hot pants. I just don't think they make a good pair. For one thing, I don't know what the age difference is, but Mónica has the demeanor of a woman in her mid-thirties, even though she's supposed to be 25. And I think Jencarlos is maybe 23.

They are going to need to shape up Nina really soon for me to stop FF>>> at the sight of her. That sobbing like a 10 year old because of the scene at the restaurant RUINED her whole recital. Please.

I wonder how, or if, Flavia is going to find out about Bianca giving the horrid gossip magazine guy the info about Ivan.

Flavia is another one that's hard to take. Those awful comments about how awful Nico and Penélope's new apartment is were just ridiculous. I did enjoy Bianca pointing out that she was very soon going to be in something even smaller. I'd like to see her in a one-room hovel in the middle of the Miami neighborhood where they deal drugs! But I don't think the writers are going to have her move out of the mansion. Something will prevent this.

I LOVED the way Yair shut down Katia when she was trying to get him to go to the beach with her. And then right away invited Camila (and Teri) to the movies.

LA PATRONA, CAP. 36 PART I:

OK guys, apparently we're having now a few capitulos before the actual venganza starts that's why there's more talking than actual action.

Lucho wants Gabriela to give him the oro so he can go and change it into money. Nobody trusts him. They all warn Gaby Lucho won't come back with the oro. Fran says she saw $$$$$ signs in his eyes when he saw gold. Coni adds he is a scum and con artist. But Gaby says she cannot trade the oro. She doesn't know how because she doesn't know anybody who'd do that. She decides she'll trust him. She tells him that. She says by giving him the oro, she also gives him her trust and faith and he better not let her down. She adds this gold is her only chance to get her son back. Lucho takes the oro and leaves. I think Luco will come back only because Gaby trusted him. And apparently she is the only person so far to do that.

David comes back from the cementary. He is triste. Abuela Antonia wants to cheer him up. She talks about their holidays in Europe. He can choose where: England or France. David doesn't care. Suddenly Gertrudis appeares. The three of them talk. The one-eyed bandid tells David his mother was a lost case. He gets sad again and leaves two witches alone. Antonia is angry Gertrudis had the audicity to actually talk about Gabriela to her nieto. She asks what Doctora wants. Of course, there is only one correct answer: money. She has come to the hacienda to get her monthly payment. She receives one. Antonia hopes the one-eyed witch disappears now. Later, she compares the notes with Anibal about Doctora's blackmail. Gggeeee, they simply should sent Macario or Chacon after her and she'd soon smell flowers from the bottom :):) Or as you say in English, push up daisies :):)

Antonia gives David a motocycle. He is surprise she does becuase so far she always said no because she was afraid he'd get hurt. Porcia is angry at her for doing that. She says that devil of a machine will kill him. And of course, David keeps speeding and he does have an accident.

In the meantime, Gaston brings Coni some medicine from his friend of a doctor and tells Gaby about David.

Pati and his son spent some time at the club. He won some kind of a prize. He leaves with his nanny. Alberto approaches then Pati and says apparently the son got good looks and predispositons to sport from his father. Pati tells him to get lost. He suggests some kind of reconciliation in bed and kisses her. And Irene has to witness this. She is glad Pati doesn't have eyes for Alex :):):) LOL :):)
She shows up at Alex's workplace and wants to have sex. She says she's sure he doesn't want her to end up like Pati. She spills the beans about Alberto.

Alex of course calls Pati. They meet at the motel. Alex tries to scold Pati for hooking up with Alberto. What about Ricardo? Pati asks him to drop the act. She knows he's here because he cares about her. They start kissing and end up in bed. Later, they of course have a pillow talk about everythig that goes wrong in their lives. Alex talks about Gabriela, Pati explains the misunderstanding about Alberto. Alex insists she should try to work things out with Ricardo. She's tried but in vein. She's tried to love him but now Ricardo is only a great friend. She claims she loves Alex. With him, she finally feels like a woman. Yeah, right - rolling my eyes... I wonder if Pati is a little nymphomaniac :)

Ricardo in the meantime has a meeting with Julio about the fire. He talks about patients' files. Julio responds surely they burnt in fire but still looks a little unsettled. Later, Ricardo sees Gertrudis. He accusses her of having some additional 21 patiens who weren't refered to in her files. Gertrudis says he must be imagining things. He doesn't have any proof and simply tries to make things up because he feels helpless. She, as a psychiatrist, sees that LOL LOL LOL

LA PATRONA - CAP. 36 - PART II:

BTW, Ricardo almost caught Julio with his amante. But later, Prudencia appears unannounced at Julio's office and sees him with that blond girl. She is in shock. Later, she shows up shaky at Chacon's. She has run off the road and hit a tree. She doesn't want him to call her husband. She claims her life sucks. Chacon and his half-opened shirt are very attentive to her. To be honest, I got a vibe that this was some kind of foreshadowing. I do think there'd be an affair :):) Remember, hell hath no fury like a woman scorned :):)

Guerra is in hospital threatening a nurse with shutting down the hospital and firing her if she overdrugged David because he feels sleepy and little responsive. The nurse claims it's because of sedatives. They ease pain in David's broken leg. Yes, David has only a broken leg and a few scratches. When she leaves, Gaby appears dressed up as a nurse and she says: What a mala bitch!! Is she a owner of that everything or what? She pretends to be a new nurse who comes back after a long journey. She sneaks into David's room. He's sleeping but is uneasy. Gaby urges him not to fight the sedatives. He, in sleep, says that it hurts. She answers she knows his leg must be in pain. No, he says. His mum's death hurts. Gaby again tries to calm him down. She assures him everything'll be OK. She'll be back. She'll get him back from Antonia's clutches. Mum, is that you? he asks in sleep. Gaby gets him to rest, kisses him in forehead and leaves.

Alex is here too. He knows it's late but he wants to see his nephew. Maybe he should've come earlier. But no, he had to sex Pati up. Irene had told him off too for not answering her calls when she had wanted to inform him about David's accident. She had brought a good point up about e.g. their daughter being ill and him not bothering to check his phone.
Alex runs into Gaby in her nurse costume but he doesn't see her face because Gaby's standing with her back to him. She runs away. He assumes the nurse was rude etc because of him coming late.

Alex goes to a busines trip to the capital. He meets Valentina there. She asks him to do her a favour and give Max a gift. I guess if we finally have her as a grown-up character, she’ll soon show up in SPDO.

A few days have passed. David is home, walking with the help of crutches. The scratches are now gone. He surfs the net looking for some info about ghosts. He tells Portia in secret he saw Gaby's ghost. Santo Dios, Portia responds. In the background, we see Antonia. We cannot be sure if she heard anything. But she calls Macario and orders him to check what los Suarex are up to. You know, the house full of guests....

At los Suarez's, Fran is a little anxious. She calls Gaby estupida for trusting Lucho. He is a rat. Yes, he is but even rats have a sense of loyalty Gaby says. Then sb knocks at the door. You see, Gaby says thinking it's Lucho. Gaby runs away when she sees Alex. He says to Fran he heard voices. Who is there?

MADE IN CARTAGENA – Miércoles Part 1

Everything's getting really entwined, so many relationships, so many cross purposes. But first, we have a new character, Carin, whom we've seen before talking from Bogotá to Flora on the phone, and later suffering, apparently forced into prostitution to make ends meet. But she's back in Cartagena unannounced, and is at Flora's “poor”home. Watusi stops by to slip a note under the door, and Carin comes out. They compare notes, he relates how he's sort of lost Flora, but wants to get her back. Dixon shows up, and Carin asks if he knows where Flora lives. Sure, he'll take her to the rich house.

Meanwhile, Flora has gone to her rich house, and is overjoyed to find Cande there, in his disguise as a holy man. Flora, Belén and Cande talk a bit, and he tells them to keep doing what Harvey says, for now, but he has suspicions. Agua Mala sees this meeting on the monitor, but since he can't hear, and Flora and Belén are acting to throw off the cameras, nothing is suspected.

Cande then goes to see Harvey, gun in hand. When he first enters, everybody pulls guns. After all, Calbache had just called Harvey and said Cande was DEAD, and Harvey told the whole crew. But after a few tense moments, the guns are lowered, and everybody pretends to be happy to see each other. Cande has a talk with Harvey, each with his hand very close to his gun. Harvey gives Cande a total load of bull, which Cande knows is bull. Before leaving, Cande says he wants to stay close, but he needs a new identity. Harvey says he'll help. And you'd better make sure NOTHING happens to my sister, you hear me? Of course not, says Harvey, she's like a daughter to me (yeah, right).

Harvey calls Calbache, I thought you were going to kill him, we had an agreement. Calbache says too bad, bud, I changed my mind. So you just concentrate on the Santa Helena. If you mess up again, I'LL choose which crew member gets killed. But don't touch Cande. Later, Calbache plays part of this latest recording for Cande, further proving that Harvey wants Cande dead. He tells Cande, just get the Santa Helena, and then you can take care of Harvey!

Dixon sneaks up to the garden of Flora's rich house, gets Belén and Flora to come over, and says there's a visitor. It's Carin. Flora and Carin talk. Apparently, Carin told Flora everything in Bogotá was wonderful, but it was all lies. She had to do terrible things. And lots of it because of a lowlife named Susana. Flora quickly realizes from the description this was the same Susana that Harvey introduced as an etiquette coach. But a lowlife? Yes, and she had something to do with your godfather. Flora is more and more suspicious, could Susana and Harvey have had a relationship? But what does it matter, now that Susana left the country? Little does she know, Susana left this earth.

MADE IN CARTAGENA, Part 2

Marcos visits Vicente, confesses that he allowed Dixon to steal those statuettes. Vicente is upset, that collection was very important to Marcela, we need them back. He calls Torres. I need a favor. Some lowlife was extorting money from my nephew (this is in fact true, he just doesn't know it was Flora's brother). We need to pick up this guy. Later, we see Dixon stuffing the statuettes in his backpack, he's going to sell them. I think Carin may have seen this, but sort of ignored it.

Watusi goes to Harvey, I need more time to get the money. Harvey, that piece of dirt, is quite nasty with Watusi, if you don't pay, I'll just take Sabroso's ranch. Get me the money or else! Watusi later swallows his pride, asks Vicente for some help with the operation costs. Vicente says no problem, anything you need, I'll just write out a check. Wait a minute, says Watu, I want to earn it. So now Watu is going to work in the bank! Vicente shows Watu a picture of his daughter Sofi. Watu remembers Sofi from when he saved her and Flora from drug dealers, way back. He realizes Flora does have a friend named Sofi, and what she said about Agua Mala not being her boyfriend must be true. She didn't betray me, he thinks. Watu tells Vicente he's going to marry Flora. Vicente gulps.

Flora opens the note Watu had left, he wants to reconcile. He included the ring. He later tells Celina they have to split up, and he won't be in the dance competition with her. He can't lie to her, he still loves Flora. Celina is not pleased.

Sabroso had his operation, and is recovering, patches over his eyes.

Silvie wants to move the Santa Helena back to the bank. Tomorrow. Torres is in on this. So is Imanuol, who''s back! But no one's going to tell Vicente, they don't want to “upset” him. Meanwhile, Harvey also wants to rob the Santa Helena. Tomorrow. He tells Flora to go to the house, and shows her a fake Santa Helena which she's supposed to substitute. Agua Mala gives her a pen torch, to burn through something. She'll have 5 minutes. This is getting tense again!

And we have one of the coolest scenes in Vicente's bedroom, with Watusi, Vicente, Silvie and Flora. Of course Watu wants Flora, but Flora wants Vicente. She had confessed to Carin that Vicente made her feel different from anything she's ever felt, even with Watu. Vicente also likes Flora, but Silvie wants Vicente. Everything they said, and everything they DIDN'T say, spoke volumes.

The end of my recording cut off, because the movie before went over, so I don't know what happened in the last two minutes. Jody, please fill me in (or just add it to the start of your recap tomorrow). I can't wait to see the latest attempt on the Santa Helena!

M,thanks for the recaps..so to the point. I literally got a stomache achr from seeing Ale and Pati in bed together. I really like JLP...Iike my galans morenito and JLP is a good actor. Why oh why did Telemu.do make him such a scuzzball. Al the men in this novela are so flawed and useless, it's sickening.

I want Ale and Gaby tovether in the end because it wouldn't waste the great chemistry between Aracely and JLP. But Ale is such an idiot-he really still believes his mom and the lobos have nothing to do with Chaumuco-and lacking any honor, they are going to have to make him suffer like Fernando Carrillo's character Roberto Mendiola did in Maria Isabel.

For no good reason, he cheated on Adela Noriega's character Maria Isabel something like 3 months into the marriage. It literally hurt my feelings and angered the female viewers as Ale is now. It felt like I got cheated on. He and Maria Isabel ended up together but only after when he went to get Maria Isabel back from her hometown, he got shot and was in and out of consciousness and near death for three days and Maria Isabel's father had to remove the bullet with no anesthetic.

The writers are going to have to make Ale truly suffer for him to desrve Gaby.

Pasion Prohibida Wednesday

Ariel confronts B&B with the note that he found. They both flip out, they are outraged that he might think something like this (heh!)
Bruno runs to his room, Bianca, too (not to Bruno's room, but wouldn't that be a treat).
Ariel tries to apologize to Bianca, he says he never accused them, he just found the note and he had to ask. Bianca is very upset, she keeps saying that she is his wife, Bruno is his 'sobrino', how can he think such horrors. She locks herself in the bathroom, where she rememberes when she took the note and says out loud: "What was I thinking!"

Ariel goes to apologize to Bruno, too, he feels very bad about the whole thing; Bruno is very hurt, he keeps saying that he is family, he would never hurt his 'tio' like this. Ariel says that he is an older man, he has to look out for Bianca (as in he can see how she might be attracted to younger men). Bruno is still very upset, he wants to move out, but in the end Ariel convinces him otherwise.

These scenes were really great! Even if so far nothing has happened between B&B and Bruno is very hurt, indeed, that his uncle would think he is capable of such a betrayal, the thought did cross his mind and you can see how when he talks to Ariel, he is half upset, half tormented by his actual struggle to stay away from Bianca. For him this little misunderstanding is only a glimpse of what might happen if he and Bianca actually did something behind Ariel's back.

Bianca, on the other hand, while she has her offended wife speech, she is a little freaked out that she acted stupidly in keeping that note and she is scared that Ariel might be onto something.

As I said, they are both innocent, but have both been tempted; so, the more they express their outrage, the more ashamed they are (especially Bruno) at the realization that Ariel is not that off base. I love it!!

In other news, everybody in the house hears the fight but they don't know exactly what it is about. The scene where Camila and Katia pretend to clean just to hear the argument better is funny. Not funny is Nina, who wants to know, too; she asks Bruno, she pretends to be Bianca's friend just to know the gossip (Mademoiselle has a great come back to Nina about this later in the night), all in all, the usual Nina stuff.

Ariel talks to Camila, he realizez that she is the one who found the note. She plays dumb, but he forbbids her to go into their room again, let Tere take care of the laundry. I kind of think Camila is an innocent party here, she did find the note, but what was she supposed to do, give it to Bianca, who always treats her badly?

Ariel is not the fool a cheated husband usually is, but I don't think he will hurry to make accusations again, when the next B&B sitaution appears. And, of course, the next situations won't be that innocent. So far he can be at ease: he found B&B chatting in the hallway, in broad daylight, with Bruno half naked and Bianca wearing a robe; when he doesn't find them in these "very familiar" situations anymore, then he should be worried...because then all the naked stuff will happen behind closed doors. :)

Thank you again, Novelaman. You sure are observant to
notice the color of the finger! I don't remember seeing it
that well.

MADE IN CARTAGENA:

Thanks Hombre for the well-detailed recaps. This is definitely getting intense. Oh, and just so you know, UniMas ran a promo last night saying that this is now in its "Ultimos Capitulos".

I thought Watu told Vicente he and Flora were 'novios'.

Also, when Silvia called Torres to arrange for the statue to be moved back to the bank, Imanuol was in the office with Torres. Guess Imanuol is back on the case again.

While Dixon and Carin were in their heated discussion, Dixon gets a phone call from Marcos - they get nasty - sounded like they were trading barbs and threats - Carin tried to find out what the call was about but Dixon refused to tell her anything and walked out of the room carrying his backpack.

Here's what I remember at the end of last night's episode: Watu leaves the bedroom - Silvia gives Vicente a kiss and leaves also. Flora stays by Vicente's bedside, and covers for herself with whatever Watu told Vicente about her and Watu's relationship. Silvia has Watu meet with her in the office - they finish up the paperwork on his employment. She says he can start tomorrow. He gulps - he can't start tomorrow; he has to go to the campeche contest tomorrow. She says he can start the day after that then. He smiles and agrees.

LA PATRONA, CAP. 37, PART I:

Alex barges in Fran's home and insists he's just heard voices and he's sure it was Gabriela's voice when she's angry. Fran responds that she's sure it's his conscience talking because he feels guilty by betrying Gaby. He gives her Val's gift and leaves. Gaston finds him outside the house. Alex tells him about hearing Gaby's voice. Gaston covers it up by saying Alex's mind is playing tricks on him. He gently changes the subject by asking if Alex minds buying him lunch. Alex wants to give him some money but Gaston says he had a lunch together with Alex in mind. They go to the club. Later, we see them talking about Gaby. Gaston says Fran does some witchcratf etc and maybe Alex heard Gaby's ghost's voice. LOL He even asks how this voice sounded: real or more esoteric / mysterious. LOL LOL That scene was hillarious. Gaston does everything in his power to convince Alex that he must be hearing things. He adds he's greatful for buying lunch. Apparently if it weren't for Alex, he wouldn't be able to enter the club. When Alex gets home, bitchy Irene is furious he dared take Gaston to the club. All her amigas called her and she was so ashamed LOL LOL She had to make a story up about some acts of charity LOL LOL Antonia appears and Alex says if it weren't for his daughter, he'd be completely miserable. Irene, as always, has a facial expression saying NO puede ser LOL LOL

Macario, on orders from Antonia, is spying on los Suarez. He comes to the conclusion everything is OK because he sees Fran talking to some of her patients and cleaning outside home as usual.

Chacon and his half-opened shirt are very attentive to Prudencia when she tells him about her marido's traicion. He says she should get back at him. After all, she is still very attractive woman. He closes the door and grabs her and they kiss. He pushes her on his desk, throws away all files and a telephone. They end up doing the deed on his desk. LOL LOL I told you yesterday sth was goona happen with these too :):) I'm now officially a fortuneteller :):) Later, he says judging by the way of hhhhhmmm matters :):):) he now knows her husband wasn't fulfilling his maritial duties. She says yes and despite that, she stayed faithfull to him. He asks her to get some revenge on Julio. When she is angry just like she was before, she should call him. He'd make sure she uses that anger in right direction :):):) When he leaves, she says she should repent her sin, but in order to repent, one must regret. She regrets nothing :):):) She leaves and Julio appears. Chacon calls him darling by mistake thinking it's Prudencia who came back for a second round :):) Chacon's behaviour angers Julio who wants to know if Chacon has some news on Coni and Lucho.

Prudencia gets home. Pati waits for her. When she sees her, she's worried sth bad happened. Prude is in a general state of a wave of having sex with Chacon. Her hair is simply a mess, her bra is showing as Pati points it out. Prude covers it up by saying she had a small car accident. Julio arrives. He says Chacon told him about the accident. He hopes she's all right. He shows her a catalogue with new cars. He wants to buy her one. He talks about one car, the same he was showing that blonde girl in previous episode. Prude says no. She wants a German or Italian car. Or better, a convertible. She goes to change. Julio es impactado. What happened to your mother, he asks Pati who in return is glad mamá is more demanding. Prude calls Chacon. She is angry again LOL and wants to meet. They set up a meeting in an old gas station behind the town. She asks her Mr. Policeman to bring handcaffs LOL He promises to bring his gun loaded LOL LOL

LA PATRONA, CAP.37, PART II:

Antonia is uneasy. She wants to know what's happening at los Suarez's. She sends Chacon to get Gaston and make him talk. Chacon calls her Darling thinking it's Prude :):):) Gaston pretends he knows nothing. He cries and begs for his life. Chacon calls him a crybaby and has him beaten up. Gaston still says nothing. Chacon calls Antonia back and says Gaston is weak etc. He suggests killing him. Apparently Antonia says no and Gaston is released.

Antonia overhears Alberto and Ramon plottig to steal some oro. Alberto tries to cover it up by saying he's afraid of her trip to Europe because she'll forget him. Antonia says the true traitors are the ones in business. He can do what he wants with his little sexual escapadas. But he better not dare betray her in business.

Max reads a letter from Valentina. After graduating, she's goona spend some time in Houston with her maternal grandparents because her grandpa has cancer. She made him a scarf. She hopes it'd be like hugging him every time he wears it :):)

Gaby decides she and Coni should leave tomorrow because to many people is around. She's sure Antonia sent Macario because she knows Gaby & Coni were amigas. Fran gives her all her money. Macario arrives and speaks to Fran for a minute. He notices she's rather unsettled. He immediately calls Guerra who gathers Julio and Anibal and wants to search the Suarez's home. Only Ricardo shouldn't know.

Alex tells Ricardo about hearing Gaby's voice. Pati arrives and Ricardo suggests going to a playa with their children. Pati doesn't want to because she's sure Irene'll be her bitchy and nasty self. Ricardo says she should make a peace with her sister. Look, how I get along with Alex. He's my best friend, he's like a brother to me LOL LOL That looks of Pati & Alex were priceless :):):)

Somebody grabs Gaston again from behind.

Julio and Prude trade some amores and queridos between each other. :):) But Prude seems like wanting to suffocate him. Suddenly he receives a call. It's LUCHO :):) He calls Julio his friend and wants him to open his front door. There we have Lucho sitting behind a wheel in a new silver convertible. He wishes Julio a good day and thinks he'll see him on the road to the airport. Julio immediately calls Chacon. He wants him to blockade all the roads from the town, especially that leading to the airport. Chacon responds that Antonia ordered him to search the Suarez's home. Julio says to not mind that, he has to catch Lucho Vampa. Chacon is angry. All his orders contradict each other. He leaves. Then an ambulance approaches the Suearez's home. It's Gaston :):) He asks Gaby to dress herself as a paramedic. Coni'll be a patient. They leave in that ambulance and go somewhere behind the town. There's Lucho waiting with 2 big bags. Gaby is happy to see him. She was sure he'll be back. He shows them the money. Gaby hugs him. Gaston and Coni smile. That look of Lucho. I think he starts falling for her :):)

MADE IN CARTAGENA:

Thanks, Jody for filling in the ending that tomorrow is the champeta contest. Will Watusi dance with Celina? I thought he told her no.

I think Watu first told Vicente they were novios (which Silvie had just told him a little before), and at the end, he added something like "and I'm going to marry her". This was a little more than Vicente wanted to hear. You're right, when Flora came back in, she said, no, it was a long time ago. So Vicente doesn't know what to think.

Of course the problem could be solved if Silvie and Watusi fell for each other. Nah!, just kidding.

Celina loves, Watu. Watu loves Flora. Flora loves Vicente. Vicente loves Flora. Silvie loves Vicente. Imauol loves Silvie. Agua Mala loves (wants) Mireya. Mireya (maybe) loves Candelario. My head is spinning!

LA PATRONA:

Great recap, M, very amusing and well written! Yes, it was a fun episode, one of the best. Good thing Julio called Chacon to go after Lucho and not search the house, that allowed the ambulance to show up. Lucho came through! I'm really looking forward to some venganza!

PASIÓN PROHIBIDA

Bruno is so torn, you can feel it. He just looks at Bianca's picture on his cell phone, and even ignores the girl at the bar trying to pick him up.

Sooo anticipating tonight.

Pasion Prohibida
B&B, actual age difference is 4 years, Monica born 1984, JC 1988.
AdrianaNoel, appreciate your recaps and your character analysis. I think Ariel's outburst actually may have pushed B&B together -- since he imagined them together, it becomes more real in a way.
Camila should have put the note back in Bianca's pocket. She dropped it on the floor purposely to cause trouble. That car-smashing was wild, Bruno's exGF is scary!
Clara

PASIÓN PROHIBIDA

hola, novelera. I chalk up Mónica's character's demeanor to sophistication; I love that about her.

PASIÓN PROHIBIDA

Thanks so much for the recap, AdrianaNoel.

Wow, that Eliana is a piece of work. She completely destroyed Bruno's prized new car. Of course he saw that she did it. I certainly hope the crazy witch has to pay for it (or her insurance). The ironic thing is that Bruno wasn't really going for the woman in the bar who was coming on to him.

Now, I suppose Eliana will take up Guillermo on his date idea. All I can say about those two together is: Eeewwww! And I hope Nuria finds out soon, dumps him and takes every dime!

I can't remember a novela with so many brats in it. Sometimes there's evil witches who plot. In this case Camila and Nina aren't really bad. But they cause havoc wherever they go.

I'm certain Camila left that note on the floor on purpose. But she got a little more than she bargained for when Ariel called her on the carpet.

And Nina! Her grilling everyone to find out about Bianca and Ariel's fight was borderline crazy. Her sense of entitlement is simply amazing. She feels like she owns her father and has a right to know every aspect of his life. It drives me nuts!

And no matter how many times Bianca tells her to butt out, Flavia continues to snoop and look for evidences of Bruno and Bianca being up to something. I can't figure out if she really wants to make sure Bianca doesn't mess up and kill the goose that lays golden eggs or if she's kind of hoping Bianca's marriage fails. Weird mother-daughter dynamic.

It was kind of cute when Flavia got Bianca laughing about the purebred colt being installed in Nico and Penélope's small apartment.

LA PATRONA

Excellent recap, M.

At last!!! Gabriela and Constanza are away from San Pedro del Oro, and with bags of cash.

I was so afraid Gaston would either talk or they'd do permanent damage to him. Guerra made a major mistake there. She told Chacon to let him go, thus enabling the ambulance escap.

Besides not wanting to spend any unnecessary time with Irene, I think Patti was also afraid that, if they spent time together at the beach, her attraction to Ale would be noticeable.

I think the Prudencia-Lagarto hookup is deeply odd. Frankly, if that guy were the last man on earth, I'd join a convent.

I really enjoy the relationship with Francisca and Gabriela. It started off so badly, but now Gaby sees the heart of gold in Panchita. It was very touching when Gaby, her voice breaking, told her how much it meant to have someone care about her after the four years of being tortured in the nuthouse.

I really enjoyed Alberto and Ramon almost getting caught by Guerra. Bill C. said that Alberto had a punchable face. I agree. The guy is a vain, talentless coward. I don't think those two are going to steal any gold after Guerra threatened Alberto with the same fate as El Tigre.

I loved the happy smiles at the end when Lucho redeemed himself. They didn't explain it, but he must have somehow rented that convertible and drove by Julio's place as a diversionary tactic.

Pasion Prohibida

Shalowgirl, Bruno sure is torn, especially after today, when he got a glimpse of the kind of scandal this might cause.

Clara, I really like your take on Ariel's outburst making it more real for B&B, I haven't thought about it before; now I can't wait for their first face to face after this, they had a nice relationship developing before, let's see how they deal with the big elephant in the room.

Novelera, everybody in the house likes to gossip; while I find the servants doing it mildly annoying, I can deal with it, since they need to have a part in the house dynamic, too. But Nina's interest in her father's marriage is to creepy for words. Whenever I hear her say "mimor" I just roll my head and press the mute button.
When something does happen with B&B, I am curious how they manage to keep it hidden, since nobody can take a sneeze in this manor without everybody and their mother finding out about it the second it happens.
As for Flavia, who knows what she thinks, I guess she does want Bianca's marriage to succed, but she can't help her venom. The actress said it very well when it comes to Flavia: she loves her daughters, but she can't keep herself from competing with them. Let's not forget Flavia did want Ariel for herself only a few months ago.

Oh, and about the note: at first I thought the story would have been more realistic if Bianca had kept a picture of Bruno. But now I am starting to think that the fact that she would want to keep a note that was meant for her sister really is meant to show us that she is more interested in Bruno than we think.

I love debating with all of you about the show, it really helps me enjoy it more. :)

La Patrona -

thanks so much M!
I really enjoy your recaps,

plus the local network went overboard with the commercials last night,
and you filled in the gaps nicely.

so I guess we won't be seeing our misfits crawling out of the back of a truck in times square,
after hitchhiking to New York city, is it makeover time yet?

I was hoping Gaston would fill Alejandro in on the mine,
but I guess it's too early for our galan to have a clue,
at least the Lagarto police didn't show up right after Alejandro left Francisca's place,
putting another nail in his coffin,

cracked me up that when Gaston did his staggering leave of the club,
he stopped and put down his empty beer in the middle of someone's lunch table,
plus he doesn't look like he smells very good.

PASIÓN PROHIBIDA

also, I can't help but snicker whenever Ariel says he's happy that B&B are getting closer... oh man will he will rue the day.

Nina and her "mimor".... I too cringe!!

LA PATRONA

Great recap, M! Thanks so much.

I am really enjoying Antonia's fear and her efforts to find out if Gaby is still alive and to nab Gaby and Coni.

LOL at Lagarto's loaded gun! And Prude telling him to "bring his handcuffs"! What an odd couple.

Prude telling Julio that the car in his catalogue was low class was pretty funny. I guess we'll see her driving a Mercedes or a Beemer soon.

All in all, one of the better eps yet!

AdrianNoel, thanks for the recaps--it looks like there are some other watchers on here and I think the show is picking up steam. I wanted to twist Nina's head off last night when she kept insisting that Bianca tell about the quarrel, and wouldn't let her go by. Never, never have I been so annoyed by a character. "Mimorrrr"--Yech!

Pasion Prohibida Thursday
Part 1

After she destroys Bruno's car, Eliana goes home; Guillermo shortly arrives, he consoles her...ick all the way

At dinner, Nina still hasn't had enough of her nosing around, but nobody wants to tell her anything. Later Ariel goes to her room, asks her why she was si agressive...that is a nice of to put it, I call it bad education, Don Ariel. Nina wants to know if her dad is happy, apparently that is why she is acting like an obnoxious brat ...I don't buy this, since Nina was a nightmare when Bianca was not living in the house, too. Ariel tryes to explain that he os not sad, married people fight, but it's nothing serious (although, if you ask me, so far their fights have been about very serious issues: she aborted their baby and he accused her of cheating with his nephew)

Bianca writes in her journal how offended she felt with Ariel's accusation; after that she looks to her phone, to Brunos's number, but doesn't call him. After that she meets Bruno in the hall, they have a short chat and go their separate ways; Bruno is a mess, his car is destroyed and he spent all night thinking about Bianca. He meets Ariel downstairs, they hug again, Bruno says he can't go to NY anymore, since his car is in bad shape, he will spend Christmas with them.

Bianca and Ariel are still fighting, she says she is afraid of what else he might imagine, she asks for trust; Ariel is very sorry about the whole thing, Bianca gives him a short kiss, and that is it (no sex for him tonight)

Bruno in his room: he still has the note, he remembers about when he was sick and how he almost kissed Bianca when she was asleep; Bianca, on her part, remembers their talk about being young and how marriage comes in the way of dreams; Ariel is asleep next to her and she grabbs his hand, she really needs to hold on to him, because she is starting to lose it, too (the disadvantages of being young and she marrying an older man are starting to trouble her).

Pasion Prohibida Thursday
Part 2

It's Christmas and the whole family is going to the ranch, except for Bruno, who is going later; he watched them from his room, he starts boxing, he is very very tense...

At the ranch, Penelope and Nico are with the baby, too, he starts to cry, Mademoiselle calms him down; Santi says how great it would be to have a little brother; Nina: Dios nos libre (God forbidd)! (heh, what a treasute this girl is)

The servants are preparing to eat in the dining room, but they have to wait for Bruno to leave first; he is still in his room, boxing...JC Canela totally kills it in these scenes, I wanted to reach hi, through the screen and hug him (and trick him into thinking that I was Bianca :D)

Back at the ranch, everybody is dressed for dinner; Mademoiselle comes down, Ariel calls her hermosisima; then it is Bianca's turn, she is preciosa (says Ariel). Ivan comes to dinner, too, he is Flavia's guest; nobody seems happy with this, especially not Bianca.

Eventually Bruno arrives, too; when he is in the house, all gorgeus looking, Bianca's heart skips a beat (you could read it on her face, she had a grin from here to next Sunday); Bruno kisses everyone; somehow Bianca is at the end of the line, they hug (quite a bit), Ariel looks on.

After dinner, there is dancing; the servants dance to some popular music, but it's tango for the people on the ranch; later the music turns to club sounds and Ariel points out to Flavia that is not music for people like them (then why didn't you marry Flavia, then??); he tells Bruno he shoudl take Bianca and dance together, he resists for a moment, but eventually they dance and they both enjoy ot very much.

MADE IN CARTAGENA - Feb. 28, 2013 - pt. 1:

Dixon pushes passed Carin on his way out the door.

Watu talks with Silvia in the office about the champeta championship - he was dancing with Flora but now for the championship he has switched partners, dancing with Celina.

Flora tells Vicente to sleep - she will be right there to take care of him.

Carin follows Dixon outside - two guys pick up Dixon in a pickup truck.

Agua Mala meanwhile is spying on the activity inside Vicente’s house (Flora and Vic in the bedroom). Flora waits until she is sure Vic is fast asleep before quietly tip-toeing out of the room.

Mireya goes to see Harvey in the office. He tells her they will need to kill Cande because Cabache didn’t do it. He tells her to wait for Flora to pull the switch before doing anything.

Agua Mala continues to watch Flora in the office - she uses the laser pen and opens the safe. She struggles with the glass case and trying to reach the statue. She struggles and pulls the statue apart. At this time, Max tells Agua Mala that the police have been notified and are on their way to the house. Agua Mala tells Flora to hurry up, the police are on their way. Flor freaks out.

Mireya holds a gun to Cande’s head. Harvey takes a phone call - Agua Mala or Max tells him there’s a serious problem at Vicente’s house. Cande wants to go but Harvey tells both him and Mireya to stay there.

As Vicente wakes up and wonders where Flora disappeared to, Mati tells him about the silent alarm going off in the office. Vicente props himself up and starts to get out of bed. Flora is still in the office, nervously picking up the pieces and working at the safe - as the time clock clicks away. Harvey and Agua Mala watch the monitors as Vicente and the security guards slowly walk down the stairs to the office. He has the guards take the statue from the safe and put it in the metal case - the guards will transport it to the bank immediately.

Pasion Prohibida Thursday
Part 3

It's presents time and Bruno bought Bianca a necklace with a medallion that has her picture and her father's - so that when she feels sad, she doesn't have to go to far away; she is so touched, she cries, Ariel looks at them, smiling, Flavia, too, with her enquiring 'are they sleeping together' look.

Later Bianca and Flavia talk about Ivan and how he shouldn't be there; Flavia tells Bianca that she will leave the manor and move in with Ivan, basically giving Bianca an ultimatum to convince her to let her stay in the house.

The next morning Bruno is riding a horse, blowing off some steam as far as I can tell; Bianca eventually caves in and lets Flavia stay with them just so that she doesn't move in with Ivan (big mistake, Bi, really big).

In the car back to Miami Ariel and Ivan talk about Flavia and how Ivan is willing to do anything to have her in his life (LOL)

The rest of the gang is still at the ranch, Bianca is telling penelope about the whole note scandal; Penelope asks Bianca why did she keep the note; Bianca wants to know the same thing about Penelope - that is when P describes Bruno to a T: pasion, fuego, locura...Bianca is practically salivating, but she accuses Penelope of still having feelings for Bruno (which I don't believe is true, I think Penelope remembers the sexy times with Brunos, that is someting that most women keep with them, no matter if they are married and have tons of babies)

Bianca goes to the stables, Bruno is there, he is acting cold ( Flavia watches them from not far away); Bianca wants to know why he is so distant, they shoudl forget about the not eand move on; Bruno reminds her that because of her his uncle was very upset and wants to know why she kept the note (BINGO); she says she didn't realiwe she still had it, it was unintentional; Bruno begs Bianca to keep her distance, and boy, is he desperate for her to do just that.

Things are really hitting up, Bianca is showing all the signs of being head over heels for Bruno, while he can barely be in her presence anymore and he spends all his time punching things and doing phisical stuff that can keep his mibd busy; how much this will last him, I don't know, but if he starts to treat Bianca coldly, she won't like it and she will search for him...what she finds...she might actually like. :)

MADE IN CARTAGENA - 2/28/13 - pt. 2:

As Vicente and the guards leave the office, Flora pokes her head out of the closet to make sure the coast is clear. Harvey tries to call to her through the earpiece for an update but she doesn’t respond. Instead she goes to the hallway and finds Vicente. Vicente and the guard talk before the guard leaves for the bank. Flora is very nervous and excuses herself and leaves.

When she is outside, she calls Harvey (using the hidden wires). Harvey is excited - he thinks the plan worked and he finally has the Santa Helena statue. Cande sits in the office, behind the desk and secretly texts a message to Cabache.

Imanuol calls Torres and asks about the visitors to Vicente’s house.

Harvey and Mireya return to the office - Cande asks What’s up? Harvey tells him that you will die now!. Cande argues, he wants to know why Harvey wants to kill him. Harvey points his gun at Cande. A knock at the door. Harvey tells Mireya to answer it. Cabache enters and stops Harvey from shooting Cande.

Imanuol visits Belen’s family home in the barrio. No one answers the front door. Champion tells Imanuol that no one is home.

Cande watches as Cabache asks Harvey for a private meeting. Harvey agrees. When they are alone in the office, Cabache and Harvey talk. Cabache is impatient with Harvey.

Marcos helps Vicente walk. They talk about Dixon, the delinquent thief, and Flora. Marcos tells Vicente his suspicions and questions about Flora and her mysterious background.

In the bar, Cande tells Harvey, he thinks of him as a second father - since his father’s death. Cande also tells Harvey he was able to make friends at the ranch, like Harvey did. Harvey tells Cande that Cabache is their number 1 enemy. Cande talks about Harvey’s obsession with the statue, and reminds Harvey that they are family. Harvey agrees (yes, we are). They hug.

MADE IN CARTAGENA - 2/28/13 - pt. 3:

Harvey talks with someone over the phone about a lawyer. He buzzes someone into the office. Flora is there and he is so happy to see her. She hands him her purse. He happily opens it - thinking the Santa Helena is inside. Oh, he is so disappointed when he sees the broken fake one. Flora apologizes. Meanwhile, Cande and Mireya find a quiet, private corner to talk - she tells him how she was with Robinson when he was shot. In the office, Harvey is really angry as he holds the broken fake statue in his hands and glares at Agua Mala and Flora. Flora tells him how nervous she was and that she had no idea what to do when it broke.

Mireya confesses to Cande everything that happened before Robinson died and she justifies her actions as - it was either he gets shot or she goes to jail. Cande is angry, and asks why she blamed Vicente Dominguez for shooting Robinson? Mireya pouts and explains. Cande caves, tells her he loves her and assures her of his silence.

As she tells Cande about the memory chip, Agua Mala is starting to examine the chip in his computer lab. Cande tells Mireya not to worry, he will take care of it. Flora finds Cande downstairs and tells him how upset/angry Harvey is with her. She tells her brother what happened with the latest Santa Helena statue plan. Cande tells her to be careful. Flora asks, who sent the men to kill him at the ranch? Cande tells her, Harvey did. She asks, are you sure? Cande says, yes. He also mentions Harvey’s obsession with the Santa Helena may be one of the reasons.

Vicente goes to the office at the bank. He argues with Silvia about the security detail. She argues about his intense obsession with the Santa Helena statue.

Cande tells Flora to continue to follow Harvey’s orders and trust Harvey. He assures her that continuing to help Harvey with his plans to get the statue will help Cande also. He asks Flora to believe and trust him.

Imanuol goes to the jail and asks the prisoners for information.

MADE IN CARTAGENA - 2/28/13 - pt. 4:
At the bar, Celina and Watusi are rehearsing when Flora shows up. Celina wonders if she’s there to dance with Watusi again. Flora says, No, he’s your partner. She’s there to dance with - she looks around and smiles at Pepe sitting behind her - Pepe! Pepe is surprised. Celina and Flora start their usual jealous ‘trash talk’. Watusi is silent. Pepe is very excited to dance with Flora. Watusi pulls Flora aside and asks why? Flora tells him he traded her for Celina. Watusi tells her he went to Vicente for money (for Sabroso’s operation/repay Harvey).

Cande meets with Cabache and tells him what he discovered inside Harvey’s office.

Flora tells Watusi she doesn’t have a clue what he is talking about. Watusi explains that he now knows she was telling the truth, and understands everything much better - especially after he saw the photo of Sofia. He just wants her to be happy; he apologizes for doubting her and wishes her well in the champeta championships. (I guess with the handshake, they are friends again.)

Cande finds Mireya and says he told Cabache the story - and Cabache will help them. Meanwhile, in the office, Harvey meets with cousin Blatchko. They discuss Cande and Mireya - Harvey tells Blatchko they can’t trust anyone. Cande tells Mireya that Harvey is a monster, then grumbles again about the Santa Helena statue. Harvey and Blatchko discuss how they are going to get the statue (new plan). Blatchko wonders about taking out Cabache - Harvey says, all in due time, Cabache’s days are numbered. Cande and Mireya finish talking and start to kiss.

Dixon and Carin are in the living room of the family home in the barrio. Dixon tells Carin about his suspicions and questions about Flora. They talk about Champion and the championships. Carin tells Dixon to give her some time - she will do what she can to get Flora to tell her the truth.

MADE IN CARTAGENA - 2/28/13 - pt. 5:

Vicente and Imanuol meet again at the house - meeting doesn’t go well - Imanuol is still on his own with the security case.

Cande finds Agua Mala examining the microchip. They talk and Cande whispers to him that there’s evidence of Robinson’s death on that chip.

Vicente hobbles on crutches to his office safe. As he looks down, the phone rings. He hops over to sit at the desk and answers it. It’s Sofia. Vicente says, he’s busy working as usual. She asks about Silvia - he mumbles an answer - she encourages him to make an effort with Silvia (she’s sure her mom would want him to be with someone.)

Carin shows up at the bar. Flora is surprised. Harvey sees Carin and wonders why she is there? Carin comes up with a story to explain her reappearance at the bar. Harvey mentions Susanah. Carin explains. Harvey kinda accepts it. Carin and Flora talk in private.

Agua Mala and Cande go to the quiet corner to talk. Cande tells him about Mireya’s confession to him about Robinson’s death. Agua Mala wonders what she said about him. Cande tells him - she’s the boss lady, if they try to double cross her, they both could be dead.

NEXT WEEK (Ultimos Capitulos): Flora and Vicente -- star-crossed love?

EL SECRETARIO - March 1, 2013 - Episode #109:

Delfina remarks that the red mark on Yensy's upper lip makes her look like she has a mustache. Yensy is upset and humiliated by the remark. Olga comes out of the bathroom stall and sits beside Millie. She encourages Millie to talk - Millie reveals that she spent the night with Adrian. The ladies are so happy for her. Millie says this may be a very little thing, but if it leads to a reconciliation with her ex-husband, she's going to make the most of it.

Olga and Yensy leave the ladies room - they gossip about Lorena's new position at the company and how she flirted with Felix to get it. Yensy doesn't see the problem. Olga says Lorena is married - there is supposed to be a certain sacredness to marriage. Yensy tells Olga to keep quiet about the gossip - if anything happens, they are to act totally surprised.

Mario goes to see Felix in his office. Mario wants to apologize and get his job, credit cards and company car back. Felix tells him - no, can do, to all the requests. Felix informs Mario that he has filled Mario's old position - he hired Lorena. Mario is visibly upset by the news. Felix thinks and has a brand new position for his half-bro.

Paula walks into a restaurant and sits down a table.

Toni tries to call someone but only gets the voice mail message.

Mario and Felix are in the warehouse area. Felix says, welcome to your new job. Mario looks at all the boxes and says, working here is beneath his dignity. Felix reminds him that Lorena has been hired to be director, so Mario needs to just smile and accept this. Mario grumbles to himself as he gets to work stacking boxes.

Secretaries return from their break, chatting as they get off the elevator. Lorena and Toni both see Emilio and want to meet with him in their office - right at the same time. Toni finally concedes and lets Lorena meet with Emilio first.

In "Mario's old office", Lorena gets after Emilio about Toni. Emilio calls her "Lorena". Lorena is offended and tells him in the office he is to refer to her as "Doctor Lorena". She then orders him to get some reports for her - and he has to do them right now! She also orders him not to tell Frank about her new job.

Mario returns to Felix's office - begging for another, better office job. Felix refuses to back down. Lorena approaches and starts to flirt with Felix about the reports. Felix mentions Paula and her boytoy Nelson. Mario is about to comment when he spots Emilio at his desk. Mario is really upset by Emilio's new hairdo. "First you replace me at my job, and now he takes my haircut! What is this parody of Mario day!"

Dona Trudy and Rosita are sitting with Frank. Frank is so frustrated with his wife - she took the scarves to Copito this morning and still hasn't called him to say how everything went.

Mario continues to beg his bro for another office job. Felix mentions Paula again. Mario has a temper tantrum. Felix repeats three times, so will you accept the warehouse worker job or no? Mario remembers his revenge plan with Paula then tells Felix he will accept the job. Mario jumps on the sofa and acts like a monkey before he leaves the office.

Mario stops by Emilio's desk - Mario first talks to Emilio about his new haircut - Emilio says he didn't do it to mock Mario. Mario mentions something else (a favor). As Mario is about to walk to the elevators, the secretaries start to laugh at Mario. Mario gets furious with them about the laughter - he is still Felix's brother after all. They still laugh as Mario leaves, upset.

EL SECRETARIO - March 1, 2013 - pt. 2:

Paula is still sitting along at her table at the restaurant. The waiter comes over to see if she wants anything else. She finally tells him, all she wants is coffee - that's all she can afford.

Felix talks on his office phone - places a special order for something sexy, and wants it delivered as soon as possible.

Emilio answers the phone - it's Paula - she wants to talk with Mario - Emilio says he's working right now - Paula finally asks Emilio for a loan, right now.

Mario goes to Millie and starts to act like he's above her on the job ladder. Millie lands into him that now she's actually above him (she tells him to call her "Senora Milady"). He backs off immediately and gets back to work.

MADE IN CARTAGENA:

Jody, superb recap, great detail. As usual, I have a few minor additions.

Imanuol asked Torres who visited Cande in prison. So far, the records are unavailable, but if he finds out Flora did..... He's also in the neighborhood to find other acquaintances of Cande. He was mad that after Dixon was arrested for stealing from Vicente, he was released because he had no priors. Imanuol wants to question him. Being as we're in ultimos capitulos, it's only a matter of time before Imanuol realizes that Cande, Flora and Dixon are siblings!

Cande is cool, even out cooling Harvey. First talks his way out of getting killed by pretending to Harvey that he loves Harvey like family (whereas, he actually HATES Harvey now). Cande truly does love Mireya, and I think she returns this, but who knows with her? She did tell him about having to push Robinson into the line of fire. She doesn't know who shot him.

Cande later told Flora that Vicente might be just "some poor sucker who had nothing to do with Robinson's murder and is being dumped on by Harvey". Flora is shocked, but she also has to pretend to be following all of Harvey's orders exactly.

Cande also plays it cool with Agua Mala. He pretends to be on Agua Mala's side, when he's really in with Mireya. This actor (Cande) is doing an amazing job.

I think what happened with the statue is the following. Flora accidentally pulled off the bottom, but couldn't get the rest out. She then had to act fast. She pulled off the bottom of the fake one, and welded it to the rest of the original. So what she gave Harvey was the REAL bottom, and the fake top!! And the bank has the real top, and the fake bottom!!!! Did you notice she also dropped a little hair clip (I think that's what it was, maybe an earring) next to the safe, and Vicente picked it up? That could be trouble.

I was glad Vicente had that argument about her going behind his back to transfer the Santa Helena, cause now their on the outs, giving Flora a chance. But how in the world can this show ever work out, when Flora has broken the law multiple times (even though she didn't know the whole story)? Is is possible Flora and Vicente can really end up together? To me, the writers would have to be geniuses to accomplish this. Of course, they're always clever, so let's hope!

MADE IN CARTAGENA:

I meant to say, Vicente had the argument with Silvia.

BTW, almost no one senses the attraction between Vicente and Flora. Sylvie knows. But not Sofi, and not Watusi. Flora THOUGHT he knew, when he said "I know everything." But then he just knew that she had new rich friends. Wait til everyone finds out!

LA PATRONA:

They're rich! Constanza sure does look pretty with her new look. Now we need Gaby's makeover. But who would have thought Lucho would be the moral one, opposing Gaby's plans for revenge? This show is getting SO GOOD, now that our heroes have some power! I LOVED Lucho dressed up as the lawyer, telling Anibal and Ricardo too late, Coni was cremated!

PASIÓN PROHIBIDA

AdrianaNoel - you are HI-larious (I wanted to reach him, through the screen and hug him).

Bruno looked especially handsome last night in his fine threads for the Christmas party; yes, no wonder Bianca's heart skipped a beat. The more he says 'stay away from me' the more Bianca will be drawn to him. C'mon... stop torturing us drooling women already!

LA PATRONA

Hombre, I agree. Now that the quasi-sadistic period of the novela is over, things are getting good. Amazing transformation of Constanza. And they finally got rid of the scab on Aracely's mouth, actually before they even left Mexico. I'm dying to know if she'll be blonde after the make-over. The wig she has on now is even more fake looking than the one she wore before, with bangs.

Antonia Guerra falls into the usual stock villain mode. Everyone else believes that Constanza is dead, but she has some bad-to-the-bone 6th sense that she isn't.

It was so sad they had to do that to Ricardo, convince him his mother was dead. If she's that rich, why doesn't she tell Ricardo she's alive and hire a posse of bodyguards to protect her?

Lucho declared himself. Maybe they'll pull a switcheroo and Gaby will end up with him, especially since Alejandro can't stay out of bed with his sister-in-law. You know that one is going to be exposed sometime. I'd hate for Ricardo to know, but it would certainly serve nasty Irene right.

LA PATRONA

I am highly anticipating Aracely's make-over; she looks heaps better and so different as a blond.

JLP completely turned me off in this show. what a scuzzball!

MADE IN CARTAGENA:

Thanks Hombre for the clarifications. So each party now has half real and half fake statue - wonder how long it will take for someone to figure that out. Thanks for picking up on the item Flora dropped in her panic attack. I didn't catch it - I saw Vicente looking down but couldn't tell what he found.

So Imanuol is investigating Cande and Dixon. Very interesting, very interesting development indeed. Cande is beginning to look to me like he might be more intelligent than Mireya and Harvey may think he is.

The Flora - Vicente storyline ... I'll bet the writers will probably surprise us with an interesting twist or two.

JEAN'S PHOTOS:

Thanks Jean for sharing your trip photos. The monarchs are simply amazing to watch. I saw visited the reserves on a trip in 2004 and can still remember one buzzing passed my ear. Did any of the mariposas land on you?

La Patrona -

this show has taken me right in!

I did a double take on the new Constanza, wow, and it's not like they did a makeover, it's that she has been so horrible looking for so long, and always in the baggy ragged clothes.

Loved the Lucho handling of Anibal and Ricardo, and the way the bad guys always look at him with a "do I know you?" look. Enjoyed how he was describing Constanza's manicomio look when she died, and how Anibal didn't want to go there, sorry for Ricardo, who has had such a great loss when she left, but Lucho left him with some hope, that she did not just abandon him for another life.

In real life I admire Lucho's take on things, that devoting your entire life to revenge may not be the best way to go, but to hear Gabriela's take on things, there is nothing else.

and Lucho declared his love for her, hmm, I just don't know how this will work out, as a loyal friend, yes, but lovers ??, forever ??, they are so different, and Gabriela is always taking a hold of the reins, which has always been his place in life, I'm curious to see more, and so does this put Lucho on the death watch as Bill C. would put it?

so David is going to Europe and Anibal is going to New York to reclaim the inheritance (that Constanza already has) before it is wasted on some charity?

LA PATRONA

Another great episode!

I loved Lucho as the doctor giving the details of Coni's last days to Ricardo and AniMal. His description of her health status was very believable. And his retort to AniMal about having knowledge and experience with (the diagnosis of) physical abuse was excellent. The Musketeers had anticipated the request for an autopsy, and Coni had written her last wishes to be cremated, again making the scenario very believable.

I'm surprised Antonia is still planning to leave for Paris while she has such strong suspicions about Coni's death and inheritance, Lucho and their connection to Gabriela. I understand she's continuing to work on her "project" of making David just like herself, and maybe her absence will add to plot development, but it seems odd to me that she's leaving SPDO right now.

I was so glad to see David go to the cemetery to say good bye to his mother before taking off for Paris. And he and Ale did not get into an argument!

That was a sweet scene with Lucho telling Gaby he loves her, and it did bring tears to her eyes, but I think in the end she'll be with Alejandro.

Also looking forward to Aracely as a blond. Maybe she'll have more fun!

PASION PROHIBIDA
AdrianaNoel--great recap! You covered everything and even recaptured the Hot-hot-hot-ness of Bruno. I still can't tell if Flavia is hoping for or against a B/B hookup. She would have motivations either way: blackmail material on Bianca...or an end to her cushy digs at the Piamonte mansion.

Shallogal, thanks, I aim to please :)
Glad you enjoy my recap, today I really felt like writing more, everything was so great.
The tension rising between B&B is palpable, I don't know what they feed the actors, but they are doing a great job.
The 'push someone away' trick NEVER works. I am literally on the edge of my seat with these two.

J from Oregon, Flavia is such a complex character... deep down, I think she would rather see Bianca suffer because she is jealous of her and because this way she will be able to say "I told you so"
As for Bruno, I think we need to find new adjectives for him. The actor plays the whole "I am gorgeus and in love with a woman I can't have" perfectly!

I think the Prudencia-Lagarto hookup is deeply odd. Frankly, if that guy were the last man on earth, I'd join a convent.

Yeah, but look what she's married to: morally he and Julio are close to equally repugnant (though she doesn't know the really nasty secrets of either,) and I'd say ol'Lagarto is a bit of a step up in terms of looks. Julio has got to be one of the ugliest novela characters ever.

MADE IN CARTAGENA -- jueves

Wow, Jody! What a great, detailed job. Thanks so much. This is one novela I will be very sorry to say goodbye to. (Have you noticed how the really good ones have relatively few episodes?)

As delicate as the statue may be, I have a hard time believing that a solid gold casting would just break off at the head like that. Is it possible that the thing in the safe was yet another decoy? And the real one is somewhere else, still intact?

I loved the scene where Watusi and Flora agreed to compete honorably, like the champions they both are. Awww.

Maybe I underestimated Candelario's intelligence because I had such a hard time understanding him. But right now, he's some kind of friggin' genius -- he's on to everybody's game and manipulating the manipulators. Wow.

PASIÓN PROHIBIDA

Thanks for the video, shallowgal. I just wish the females hadn't screamed the whole time. Hard to hear anything. There surely were an amazing amount of female hormones floating around in that venue!

Shallowgal, JC Canela sure knows how to drive women crazy. In character or not :)

Off to do the recap in the new thread :)
