Amor Bravío #166 (Uni 161) Thu 4/11/13 Amor Secuestrado

Leo sneaks into Luzma and Pablo's room at La Malquerida, but has to content himself with sniffing her nightgown…gross!  He figures she's down in the kitchen, but she'll come up soon and he can surprise her.  Another nightgown snogger, this one is!

Rodolfo dreams of Natalia coming into his room to tell him she's been stupid and wishes she could have picked him and had the family she always wanted.  Rodolfo assures her it's not too late for love.  He wakes up before he can kiss her and is disappointed to realize it was only a dream.  He was so sure she was there.  Yet another rude awakening--Eleuterio comes barging in to tell him Augustina is dead.  "We have to hurry.  They're having the funeral here and we have to get things ready."

Piedad is likewise shocked to hear about Augustina.  Hipolito blames it on Dionisio.  Dorotea goes to get some candles.  Piedad says she's going  to Luzma's room, where she had left an image of the Virgen…and one malodorous, murderous sibling.

When she gets into the room and notices him, Leoncio punches her in the mouth and tries to shut her up, but Piedad screams for all she's worth for someone to come help her.

Down in the dining room, where Hipolito and Dorotea are getting the room ready for the funeral, they hear her screams and Hipolito goes running.  With a gun stuck in his belt….

Hipolito sees Leo and Piedad struggling on the bed and pulls Leo off of her, landing a few punches…make that several punches!  It almost looks like Leo might get away, but Hipolito pulls the gun on him.  Rodolfo runs in and begs Hipolito not to get his hands dirty.  Hipolito says he won't stop being who he is.  Eleuterio grabs Leo's arms and tells Dorotea to get some cord.  Piedad runs to Hipolito's side, fueling Leoncio's ire.

Funeral.  Camila is devastated.  Pablo is overwhelmed with everything that's going on--Augustina died, Leoncio was caught, and his dad was in the hospital, all on the same night!  Piedad is glad Leoncio has been caught. Pablo mentions he's in a high-security prison this time and won't ever get out.  Amanda and Osvaldo come to offer their condolences.  Osvaldo supposes that with Leoncio caught, that's one less worry for Camila.

Dante comes up to Daniel to tell him that he tried to see Miriam, but Caridad told him she was asleep.  That it was nothing to worry about, she'd just taken something badly.  Daniel says she was acting strangely, but he hasn't really talked to her. He's still thinking they're going to postpone the trip, have her tested again, and he'll buy himself some time to make sure things in Mexico are settled before he leaves.  Dante brings up Alonso's recording.  Daniel is hoping the recording and what Isa tried to do to Cayetano are enough to put her away.  All that's left is to catch Dionisio.  Daniel is going to go home and talk to Miriam after the funeral, and then contact Estevez.  He hates seeing Camila so sad and not being able to do anything.

Dionisio is seeing all the condolence ads in the paper and he bitches at Augustina for having such rotten timing that once again, she screwed things up for him.  "You ruined my night of love with Camila!"  He says her death won't keep him away from her, though, and he picks up the phone to call Isadora, who (or whose body) is lying in the hotel bed, covered by the comforter, bleeding from the mouth.  She doesn't move or reach for the phone.  Dio decides he can't wait for her, and summons Omar to tell him they're leaving and putting his Plan B into play.  "Listen carefully…."

Mariano tries to comfort Camila and reminds her she can always count on him….which just makes her cry harder.  Ana comes in and just hugs Camila and tells her she loves her.  "I know what it's like to lose your mom."  Camila thanks her.  Rocio and Cayetano offer their sympathies.  Camila scolds Cayetano for not being in the hospital.  "I'm fine. I wanted to be with you and tell you that you can count on me for anything you need.  I heard that Leoncio got into La Malquerida to try to hurt Luz Maria.  But I also know he's in prison again, and soon he'll be forced to write what he did to Isadora."  Camila wants, more than anything, for those who have hurt everyone to pay. Leoncio, Isadora, and Dionisio.  Rocio assures her it will happen.  Camila sobs that Dio has left her with nothing and no one. Pablo hugs her and says he's her cousin and he'll always take care of her.  Awww…Pablo!

Amanda has noticed that Yago isn't with his family.  Cayetano tells her that he wants her and Natalia to know that the Albarran family intends to be there for the baby.  "Including Yago?  Because we want nothing from him."  Cayetano says that he means the rest of the family.  Yago left the house and he has no idea where he is.  He wants Natalia to know that they will confirm that the baby is Yago's when Natalia goes to register the baby, and s/he'll be mentioned prominently in Cayetano's will.  "It's the least we can do.  If Natalia will allow us to, we'd like to have contact with her and the baby." Rocio says they don't want the baby to see them as strangers.  Amanda thanks them and says she'll let Natalia know and see what she decides.  Cayetano apologizes on behalf of the family for Yago's behavior. Pablo echoes his father's sentiments and says he hopes Amanda will consider telling him where Luzma is, so he can tell her that Leoncio has been put away again.  "Please tell me, because I'm going to find out anyway."

The hotel staff walk into Isa's room and find her.  The maid notices her hands are burnt.  The clerk doesn't want to call the cops and get into trouble with them.

Juarez demands that Leoncio write down what he did with Isadora.  "We know that you followed her out of Buenaventura and when they found you at La Malquerida, you had blood on you."  Leo picks up the pencil and scribbles.  Juarez threatens to have him locked up at the punishment cell (solitary?) in the high-security prison until he does.  Leo thought bubbles that Isadora was at a hotel in Metepec and he burned her hands and cut out her tongue.

Padre Anselmo presides over Augustina's burial.  He says he's no one to judge her for what she did, but he can see that her desperation and her love for her daughter are the things that led her to take her life.    He sprinkles holy water on the casket and people start throwing in roses as Camila cries and remembers her mother.  The mourners start drifting away.  Mariano leads Camila away before Daniel drops his rose.  Teresa catches up to Camila to give her Augustina's letter and the medallion she was wearing.  Camila gives it back to Daniel, saying she wants the Virgen to watch over Daniel in Chile.  Daniel and Dante stand by the grave as Camila and Mariano walk away.

Caridad brings Agatha to Miriam in the living room, saying she's already been fed.  Miriam takes the baby and tells Caridad to keep doing what Miriam asked her to do.  The doorbell rings and Caridad thinks it's the store, delivering some té de tila (linden flower tea, good for the nerves).  Miriam calls to her to take the money from her purse.  Two of Dio's goons, I assume, come in brandishing guns and wearing ski masks and knock out both Caridad and Miriam, taking the baby.  Oh, that's it, Dio, you are going down!

Out on a back road somewhere, two guys take Isa's body (?) out of the trunk of a car and dump it in the woods.  She's not dead!  She comes to, sees her hands, starts to scream, realizes she's lost her tongue, and continues screaming.

Daniel walks back to his house, talking to Juarez on the phone.  Sounds like Leo fessed up to what he did to Isadora.  Juarez is sending men out to the hotel to round her up.  Daniel tells Juarez that they need to find Estevez and he can help them accuse Dio and Isadora of fraud.  He breaks off as he sees his front gate and front door are open.  He walks in, still holding the phone, and asks Juarez not to hang up on him.  He rouses Caridad, who tells him to check on Miriam.  As she points across the room, Daniel starts having flashbacks to the day she was shot.  Juarez is yelling through the phone, asking what happened.  Daniel can't rouse Miriam, though he's voluntarily and authentically calling her "mi amor" for the first time since she's come out of the coma, and he yells to Juarez that someone broke into his house and Miriam is unconscious.  Caridad adds that they took the baby.  Juarez tries to ask questions, but neither Caridad nor Daniel know who the guys were.  Daniel tells him to just get an ambulance out there and help him find his daughter.  Juarez says he's on his way.  Daniel begs Miriam to wake up.  "Please, you can't die!"  He feels a pulse and seems reassured.  He asks Caridad to tell him what happened.  She tells him they had their faces covered.  One of them knocked her out, the other one knocked out Miriam, and they took the baby.  Daniel notices the picture of him and Camila at their wedding and Caridad tells him that last night, Miriam found it in the medicine cabinet and found out that Daniel and Camila got married.  And now that she knows that and it didn't kill her, and also now that she's been knocked out, maybe they can FINALLY run those damn tests!

In Camila's cabin, Camila is trying to convince Vivi, Rafa, and Mariano to leave her alone.  Vivi wants to stay with her for a few days, but Camila says it's important for her to get used to her new life.  To the silence and the absences in the house.  Mariano reminds her that, though it's not the same, she has a lot of people who love her.  Rafa takes a call from Daniel and screams "What do you mean, they took her?!"  He gets off the phone and fills them in.  Camila says this is her fault.  "Dionisio warned me.  He told me if something went wrong, if I didn't comply, he'd take revenge on Daniel and on my mom."  Mariano asks her to explain.  Camila says that Daniel confronted him and Dio came over to tell Camila that if she didn't play along, he'd kill Daniel.  She thinks kidnapping his daughter is a way of doing that.  Rafa and Vivi both encourage her to come with them to the hospital and tell Juarez that Dio made that threat.

Amanda tells Teresa and Dante that a child is always a blessing and she's happy they're pregnant.  Osvaldo comes running in to tell them the news about the kidnapping.

Mayalen has just heard about Augustina and come to offer her condolences.  Pablo tells her Camila is in the cabin and he's on his way out.  "I'm going to find Luz Maria.  Now that her uncle is in prison again, I'm going to go tell her, even if I've got to look under every rock to find her!"  Mayalen lets slip that she knew Luzma was leaving.

Aaron asks Luzma how her therapy went. Luzma says she eventually told Brisa everything.  "I didn't want to accept that I was afraid of facing what had happened and that in a way I was denying myself the chance to be happy."  She doesn't think she's gotten over it, but she's feeling hope now.  Aaron tells her that the hope will grow and she'll carry on living.  It's not a job anyone else can do for her.  The work is all hers.  "Don't ever lose that hope.  Nurture it."

Mayalen tells Pablo all about Luzma's plan.  She explains that Luzma loves him so much that she just wants to see him happy.  Pablo apologizes, but he just can't be happy with any other woman than Luzma.  "That's what I told her.  I could tell by the way you looked at her and the way you treated her.  I promised her I wouldn't tell you, but I'm going to break my promise.  I don't know where she is, but I know who she's with and that should make it easier."  Pablo already knows she's with Natalia, but that doesn't help.  "And if I told you she was with Aaron?"

Daniel is sure it was Dio who kidnapped his daughter, since Isadora is out of the game.  Cami, Vivi, Rafa, and Mariano come into the hospital, asking for an update.  They've heard that Isadora isn't a suspect…Daniel tells them what Leoncio did to her.  Daniel is furious that his daughter is paying for everything and he's sure Dio is behind it.  Camila says she can confirm that.

Isadora stumbles down the road.  A cop car catches up to her and they arrest her for the attempted murder of Cayetano.  Isa starts screaming, but the shove her into the back of the car.  I don't think she actually shouts "I hate you all!" but that's probably meant to be what her wordless screams mean.

Daniel goes to the desk to get an update on Miriam, but he's told that she's having tests run and as soon as she's out, someone will come inform him.  Rafa asks Daniel if he's worried that Miriam's aneurism will burst because of what happened to the baby.  Daniel admits that she also found a picture of his and Camila's wedding.  "Say what?!"  Mariano says Miriam must be very delicate right now, between everything that's happened and knowing that they've all lied to her.

Miriam wakes up and a doctor asks if she remembers what happened.  She starts screaming for Daniel and wakes up Caridad, lying in the next bed.  They sedate Miriam.

Dionisio calls Daniel.  Totally casual, like "Hey, man, what's up?  Yeah, your kid's fine."  He just wants La Malquerida and Camila and he'll trade Camila for the baby.  Who, by the way, is just sitting in her little carrier, looking all cute like nothing's wrong.  "You're the one who's crazy if you don't take the deal.  If you don't accept, you'll never see your daughter alive again.  Can you live with your daughter's death on your conscience?"  Daniel threatens to kill him if he hurts Agatha.  Dio says this is just a business deal.  "You have something I want, and I have something you want.  So accept the deal and there won't be any problems."  Dio hangs up on Daniel.  Camila asks what Dio wants.  "If it's me, you can count on me."

Pablo comes running up to Padre Anselmo.  He asks about Aaron, where the community is.  Padre Anselmo knows it's near San Cristobal de las Casas and it's called "Las Nubes" (the clouds).

Camila insists on knowing what Dio wants.  She's had it with people dying and she doesn't even want to think about what's going to happen to Miriam if she doesn't get her daughter back.  Juarez begs Daniel to tell them what Dio wants.  "We can help you, but you have to tell us the truth."  "He doesn't just want La Malquerida!  He wants Camila and that's not negotiable!"  Juarez tells him to trade La Malquerida in exchange for his daughter.  "He's going to be in trouble if he doesn't get the land.  Time's up for him tomorrow, so he'll have to agree to just accepting the ranch."  Daniel says La Malquerida isn't important right now.  He's more concerned with Dio's obsession with Camila.  "I can't let you trade your life for Agatha's.  You're both equally important to me.  If I had to trade my life for hers or yours, I'll do it, but I don't want you to do it."  Juarez understands, but he says they can intervene to keep Dionisio from getting what he wants and they can protect Camila.  Juarez says that the time they gave the ranch to Alonso, they didn't turn him in for extortion.  If they denounce Dionisio, both for extortion and for kidnapping,  then it wouldn't matter if the transfer was done in front of a notary, it would be invalidated by the crime Dio is committing.  Juarez says it's their decision.  Camila is fine with it, but she says she's already made a decision.  "I made the decision for the love I have for my mother and now I'm doing it for the love you have for your daughter and I don't have a problem doing it, I'm serious."  Daniel thanks her, but he says he can't trade her life for his daughters.  "When he calls me again, I'm going to tell him that you're not on the table."   If Dio doesn't agree, he'll figure something out.  Juarez recommends that Daniel put pressure on him and make him see he has nothing left to do but agree to his conditions.  "He has your daughter, but you have La Malquerida.  He knows if he doesn't give her back, he'll end up accused of kidnapping."

Agatha has leaned out of her carrier and Dio scoops her back in.  He coos to her that she's not going to get away from him.  "Your daddy's going to agree.  He's not going to let me hurt you, is he? No, of course not.  Ooh, I never thought something so small could be so valuable.  Thanks to you I'm finally going to have everything I want.  Everything, everything, everything!  My phone?  You want to call your daddy?  Should I call so you can talk to him?"

Que the hell? Did Cesar Evora have it in his contract that he had to have some quality time with the baby? That would have been cute if it hadn't been so creepy!

I can't believe we're at the end! Thank you 5ft for your wonderful 're apps!

Those scenes with Isadora were so gruesome! Ugh. Then, she's found on the road all bloody, with mangled hands, and all the cops do is compare her with the photo, "yup, that's her!" She's definitely gonna blab, well write, everything she knows about Dionicio. I think she should die after all the deaths she's responsible for.

How cute is that baby? Good little actress, trying to get away--haha!

Great work, Kat.

This just adds to Dionicio's creep factor. We also know that he's unlikely to kill the baby and wouldn't be doing it himself. That would be a job for one of his goons.

But we also know it won't happen.

What I'd like to know is what happened when those two goons picked up Hissadora. Did they bribe or kill the desk clerk or was he lucky enough not to be there when they got there (They would have known the room number).

Since Mexico doesn't have a death penalty even for Hissadora's crimes I think the hellish existence she is in for is the best possible Karmageddon the writers could come up with.

Kat,

I always enjoy your recaps and this is no exception. It's all so clear, clean and snarky where it needs to be. Thank you!

Ana and Pablo were so sweet with Camila at the velorio. If there weren't so many other issues in play right now working against it, this would certainly be Mariano's chance with Camila. He was so there for Camila at the funeral and she is more alone than ever. Of course, we know that tonight will bring another outcome.

So the acid was poured on Isadora's hands. Yes, poetic justice if all pretty graphically portrayed.

I didn't see Agatha's kidnapping, though it was clear that Dio had something up his sleeve.

As Sherlock Juarez sorted through Dio's threats, I kept wishing he had been there when the Scoobies were cooking up the various ways to save Augustina from the pokey. Maybe we would have had a different result. Whatever Dio wants, at the end, he wants LaMal most. Daniel had, of course, thought about how to save LaMal for Camila through putting limits on its later sale. Surely Dio would anticipate that the various ways of managing the deed will keep him in the end from having the land. Beanie tightening needed on this one.

Thank you, Kat., it was a pleasure reading your recaps.

Isadora is like a cat she has nine lives, dag.
Hipolito is THE MAN, thank goodness he is in Piedada's life and was at the Malquerida at the right time.
I'm sorry that the finale is only an hour long, but I sure hope that all loose ends are tied up.

I meant to comment on the question of the goons taking Isadora's body to the woods. I thought that the desk clerk, not wanting to be implicated, called these guys to dump the body. The clerk told the maid not to call the police. The clerk would have led them to the room.

I must say that Isadora, walking through the woods, bloodied and battered, looked as determined as ever. Cat with nine lives for sure, Tablet jefa.

Kat- Your recaps are always so fun to read. I’m so glad that amidst all your other projects, you decided to recap this tn for us. Gracias.

ITA. If something can be both cute and creepy, that scene with Dion and Agatha was it. She did cry for real when the goons hit the women and took her away. But she seemed to be perfectly at ease with Dion. I want to see Omar’s face when Dion orders him to change Agatha’s poopie diaper. LOL!

Even with this final opportunity to save his skin with the development people and get the MQ free and clear (he thinks), he still puts it all at risk by demanding Camila be a part of the deal. Demented dope!

I wouldn’t have minded if Hipolito beat some more of the stuffing out of Leon, but El Cerdo is so solidly built that it would take a lot of effort. Hipolito is totally the man. Love the way he held that gun to Leon, while putting his other arm protectively around Piedad.

OT: I had dinner last night with fellow Caray commenter Katy and her hermano who also watches tns. They are both such lovely, interesting and warm people. And of course we spoke about our hopes for Karmageddon for our AB villains.

Isa’s Karmageddon seems pretty complete at this point. Yikes! Now, on to Dion!

Traveling Lady- ITA. The low-rent goons (no all black clothing or black SUV) were brought in by the hotel guy, not Dion.

Interestingly, right now on UniMas is the finale of AMF when its villain goes down... to hell itself. Hissadora and Leoncerdo will have their hell on earth, at least at first.

UA "Hissadora and Leoncerdo will have their hell on earth, at least at first."
What about Slime pervert Dio? You failed to mention him.

He is El Diablo; he should go straight to Hell. Do not pass "vay", do not collect 200,000 pesos.

Morning, all. Gracias for the comments so far :)

Mr. 5ft just asked me 2 questions...

"Do you think Cayetano's going to get back together with his ex wife?" I think they'll hint that it's a possibility but there won't be anything official.

"Is Yago ever going to come back?" My guess is he won't because the writers don't really know what to do with him.

I was hoping Rodolfo's dream would continue a little longer so that we'd see his tank top come off. That's the least clothing we've ever seen him in. He and Pablo need to take a little trip to Chiapas...

Thanks for the recap Kat. You juggle a lot of things and its always a pleasure to read your work.

For Mr. 5ft's questions, I think Cayetano is getting back with Rocio and Iago is gone (at least for now). He had an opportunity to be decent but was still a jerk at his father's bed side and with what he and Rocio said to Amanda, Iago's out.

I hope Dio's obsession isn't so much that the writers feel they must just kill him. He needs to go to jail; my hope is that most of what he's done will come to light and he'll be in jail a long time. Moreover, he needs to be physically hurt (Bobbit style is an option) so he'll have lack of good medical treatment in the pokey too.

Excellent, Kat, simply excellent. I've relished each and every one of your recaps.

I chuckled a bit when they fretted that Miriam having found the photo might jeopardize the aneurysm... how about the whack on the head guys?

Vivi, how about a pat on the back for New Girl? And I agree with you,
Dionysio was really rather cute with Agatha.

Wouldn't it be perfect if Isadora ends up reunited in a cell with Alonzo's other mother?

Carlos

Carlos- BIG pat on the back for New Girl!!! :) But my Pablo never waivered. She just finally realized it was a lost cause.

Muchísimas gracias, Kat, for this and all your other fantastic recaps. This one was not only delightful but also very helpful, since I missed a depressing amount of what was said.

Re Mr. 5-Ft's questions--Yes, I do think Cayetano and Rocio will get back together, and if there were more time left in the TN, theirs might join the several other likely upcoming bodas. But with just an hour left, I doubt we'll see them at the altar. After all, he first needs to get divorced from Hissadora.

As for Yago--I suspect that we won't see him again. Much earlier in the TN, I thought he might get killed by a bull in the bullring. Like so many of my other assumptions, that one apparently was way off. Oh well...

Speaking of my assumptions, I see I was wrong yet again when I said yesterday that I thought LeonCerdo had not poured the acid on Hissa's hands but rather elsewhere. Oh well, I'm pretty consistent. :-)

I thought Juarez had the best ideas last night, especially the notion that Dio is in no position to haggle, since he definitely needs LaMalquerida to hand over on Monday. But somehow I don't think he's going to see it that way. His obsession with Camila has consistently overpowered his brain.

Vivi, I loved your comment about wanting to see Omar's face when Dio tells him to change Agata's diaper poop. Omar should have thought ahead and had the goons kidnap Caridad as well. :-)

So how many bodas are we likely to see tonight? Dan and Camila, por supuesto, but who else? Or, perhaps not bodas but committed couples. Mariano and Miriam? There almost doesn't seem to be enough time for that, though telenovela time works differently. Almost certainly Pablo and Luzma. Rodolfo and Nat? Of course, there are also Amanda and Ossie and Teresa and Dante, but they've been committed couples for a while (at least one prior episodio :-) ).

Thanks for the recapping of this TN 5ft. I love your recaps, you are funny and witty and I appreciate all the work you have put into them.

I also didn't see the kidnapping of Agatha coming. But at this point, I think that the only thing now that Dion is driving to obtain, is sex with Camila. He has to know that kidnapping a baby is against the law, and there is no way he can avoid jail if he gets caught. So he can't do anything with MQ at this point, he can only live his life on the run now. So I think that his goal is simply to have sex with Camila and then flee.

5ft, I have enjoyed your fun recaps so much, tks a bunch.
Also all the great comments, you guys are the best.

So much to do, so little time. I wouldn't miss tonight for anything.

I guessed right on one, Pablo wouldn't cave. Wrong on Aggie's demise, I thought she would see Dio in the clink.

Dio was cute with Agatha. They need some diapers, baby food, give Omar a grocery list, he is going to be busy as the nanny . That is a lol vision.

I did see the end of AMF. Funny seeing Cesar Evora fleeing in that one also at the same time.

Dio has lost all reason, he takes over LM & the police are there to arrest him on muchos charges.

I actually separated the character of Dion to the actor playing Dion and thought that the scene with THE CUTEST BABY EVER! was really cute.

I hope that Pablo doesn't arrive in Chiapas before Luzma has a chance at the counseling sessions. I would hate it if he arrived, and she still feels the same way about intimacy with him.

Isadora is one strong lady. Acid burns and a cut out tongue and she's able to walk and grunt.

I'd love to see Estevez give him hell, but there isn't enough time for that. A kidnapped baby is all the last hour really has time for.

This novela has been mostly free of the dreaded comic relief, which I think makes the total writing suffer because it defuses the power of the emotional scenes, including the cringe-worthy stuff.

To someone else's previous question regarding torture: There were at least two novelas in the past whose heroes endured horrific torture.

Quiz question: Name those two novelas and the actor who played both lead roles.

I'm going to miss the cinematography of this TN. (Can you use that word about a TV show?) That funereal viewing scene is so gorgeous. Probably I mean something more than cinematography--because what's so fascinating to look at in the funeral scene includes the costumes, the lighting, the set dressing, the significance of the expressions of each actor, the way that they're placed, the depth of the scene.

I feel it would have been more comforting for Camila to have Vivi and Rafa holding her. Mariano is not closer to her than they are, and you just can't feel as secure collapsing into the arms of a person who has requited love for you. I don't get the idea that it has to be a male escort with a romantic interest in her who stands closest to her at the gravesite, who is the second to throw his rose into the grave, who remains with her by the grave as the rest leave.

I've finally figured out why Mayalen, the New Girl, was introduced into the show. Having someone who is outside the main group, who does not know about Agata's kidnapping, was the only way to get the information about Luzma's whereabouts to Pablo without him finding out about the kidnapping crisis, so that he can run off to Chiapas on his romantic errand without consciously deserting Daniel and Camila in their time of need.

Dionisio and baby Agata are adorable together. This show could go on for several more episodes, and I'd enjoy watching the kidnappers babysit.

And yes, the bit with Isadora and the photo was hilarious. If she hadn't looked quite like the photo, were the police going to shrug their shoulders, leave her stumbling along the road, and go look for another tongueless woman with mangled hands?

Unless it's been established that Hipolito is ambidextrous, I don't like the way he switched the gun from his right to his left hand in order to put his right arm around Piedra. You're the one person holding a gun on a powerful evil madman, while others are still trying to restrain him, and you switch your gun to your less skillful hand?

His pistol isn't an old-fashioned six-shooter that was probably designed for right-handed people. I'm sure someone in his position would learn to shoot ambidextrously.

When I was into fencing (before messing up both knees) I could do it ambidextrously. Drove my opponents nuts.

UtahDesert- Did you notice at the wake, when Camila was sitting and Vivi was sitting in the chair next to her, they were holding hands. But then they had to seaparte their hands because Mariano chose that moment to bend down and tell Cam he was there for her. I totally see what you mean. I would have preferred for Rafa to be the one standing behind her as Vivi sat beside her holding her hand. Vivi also stood beside her at the grave and squeezed her shoulder a few times when it looked like she was going to break down. But in any case, Cam considers Mariano to be a good friend, so I'm sure his presence and support was welcomed.

I guess I was quibbling too much on the gun-hand issue, but I just didn't want to see any risk of Leoncio getting away!

And I'm glad I didn't notice Mariano physically getting in between Camila and Vivi.

They could have done the baby napping situation awhile ago and had it play out over the last few weeks, it would have been good that way, but this way it all brings it home----everyone figures out how to use it to get to Dio and everyone realizes that Miriam is really fine. Mariano and Miriam find everlasting happiness together, and so do Cam and Dan. Unclear if Pablo and LuzMa actually get to reconcile and live happily ever after---LuzMa was pretty clear in what she wanted and did not want but things change as we know. It's all good in the hood.

I know Hissy is horrible, but didn't the cops seem a little harsh with her? I mean she's bleeding all over the place and burned, and they shove her int he back of the car? Rough.

It's a shame Dion won't get to hang out with Natalia's baby. He'd be a good grandpa. If his grandchild wants a pony, it's for damn sure getting a pony! TWO of 'em!

Kelly

How is Luz’s therapy in Chiapas any different than what she would have gotten in town? It sounds like Therapy 101.

This is not meant to be derogatory, but Isa looked like a clown walking down the road. Her face with the mascara and blood, her hands that looked like fake clown hands and the way she was walking (which made me think Leo might have poured acid on her privates).

TL: I think Dio’s hubris will keep him from even imaging that they would do anything to make it tough for him to get LMQ. No amount of failed plans has cured him of his arrogance.

I didn’t see the kidnapping coming either.

Kidnapping the Budgekin is one of the few things that Dio has done that can be laid at his door without question. I agree that Dio is so obsessed with Cam that he won’t see his only chance is to take LMQ and run.

Vivi: I also noticed Mariano getting between Vivi and Cam at the funeral. It bothered me only because, at a time like this, it should have been Dan who comforted her but he couldn’t.

Kelly: I was also a little surprised at how the cops treated Isa.

Dio deserves as bad a fate as Isa. I hope they don’t go the “the woman gets it more because she’s a woman” route.

UA: what’s on after AMF?

Nanette

Gran Final Part 1 HPLP List:

Highpoints:

Rodolfo has, what Viewerville hopes is a prophetic, dream.
LMQ crew’s genuine affection and grief for Agustina’s death, especially Eleutario’s reaction.
The now stronger Piedad yells for help.
Hipolito beats the crap out of Leo.
Leo is not happy about Piedad’s “mi amor” to Hipolito.
Leo is in a maximum security jail (not sure that will comfort Luz, though).
Ana. Beautiful, wonderful Ana going straight up to Cam and hugging her.
Pablo tells Cam she is not alone. He will take care of her.
Caye and Rocio tell Amanda that they will be there for the baby and would like to be grandparents to the baby and Yago is out of the picture.
X-rays of Miriam will show she has no aneurism.
Isa gets dumped on the road like trash.
Isa realizes what has been done to her.
Luz is beginning to have hope she will be happy again.
NG tells Pablo the truth.
Isa gets arrested for Caye’s attempted murder.
Miriam is having tests.
Love how Caridad tried to get to Miriam when she was having her, well-deserved, hysterics.

Low Points:

Leo’s disgusting whatever with Luz’s nightgown.
Leo attacks Piedad.
Devastated Cam at her mama’s funeral.
Gravesite. Cam’s grief is almost too difficult to watch (what an actor!!!!).
Dan not being able to comfort Cam as he should.
Thugs attack Caridad and Miriam.
THAT PIG B*****D KIDNAPPED THE BUDGEKIN!!!!!!
Pig B*****d threatens to kill the Budgekin if Dan doesn’t hand over LMQ and Cam.
Pablo having found out Luz is with Aaron gets the info from P. Anselmo where he lives (this is probably going to be controversial, I love Pablo’s steadfastness, but I think he needs to give Luz some space—call with the Leo news).

Camila with Bibi Gaytan and Eduardo Capetillo. I won't be watching.

Nanette- I think in this case it's actually just that Isa gets more gruesome punishment than Dio. She has killed multiple people (Al's dad; Padre B.; Ximena; and Al), maimed Leo, and attempted to kill many others. As evil as Dio is, he has only attempted to kill Dan, plus all the fraud, etc.

I'm glad that they didn't kill off Isadora. She needs to suffer in jail.

Did Leo actually write a confession when he was brought to the station?

Cathyx- He must have, after initially playing coy and scribbling.

Vivi: I just don't want his punishment to be "minimal" because he's a man. Someone mentioned that the women villains seem to get harsher justice than the men. Dio's crimes as best I can remember: He has attempted to kill Dan two or three times, he is an accessory after the fact for Padre B's death as well as Xi's, his attempted rape of Cam, and his involvement in attacking Os, his involvement in the near fatal shooting of Miriam, his involvement in the attack on Miriam and Caridad, his kidnapping of the Budgekin. Actually murdering someone himself is the only thing he hasn't done.

UA: I take it "Camila" sucks

Carlos- Good (and funny) point about Miriam's head beating being potentially more deadly than knowing about her husband's other marriage. Plus the kidnapping of her child. The Dan thing is really the least of her problems.

Kelly

I have enjoyed this TN so much and want to thank all the recappers for all the hard work they have done. I can’t believe there is only one hour left. I’m thinking I can’t blink tonight or I’ll miss something. Thanks again to UA, Paquita, Mena, 5 Ft. and Jardinera. You guys are wonderful!!!!

Kat: Totally spaced on thanking you for your great recap. I hope you're going to be recapping the new 7:00 that's coming. I wish I knew the name of it--does anyone out there know?

I'm going to miss this TN a lot. Can't wait for this production team's next one--even if CdlF is going to be in it.
:)

In Isadora's word: "Guaaa" or wow! Great recap 5ft! This was such an intense episode and I think you did an amazing job of summarizing but not missing important details! I'm so sad this TN is ending because I'm really not into the other ones on Univision right now.

Kelly, I thought Isa's treatment was a little harsh, she was horribly injured and the cops didn't bother to call an ambulance? I guess maybe it would have been faster to drive her to the hospital but that's pretty rough, I had to remind myself of all the evil things she's done to be ok with that scene, gruesome!

I'm a little disappointed everything is going to have to be wrapped up in an hour! With baby Agatha's kidnapping, I just don't see how it's going to happen because I'd love to see all the bodas starting with Amanda and Os, M&M and of course Cam and Dan! And of course Nat and Rod maybe?

Don't know if I'll be commenting again for a while but thank you for letting me vent on here, I felt I was genuinely welcomed and I really enjoyed reading everyone's comments! I'll miss reading recaps on Caray Caray! Maybe I'll get back into Amores but it's been tough. :)

I also want to agree that Hipo was awesome last night! I was so scared Leo was going to get away! Also regarding the TVnovelas awards, growing up sometimes I would watch them but they always seemed to give the awards to actors in TN's we didn't get here in the US so I didn't care for them but really Sylvia not nominated?! How is that possible?! We should start a campaign! I don't think I've seen any other actress as good as her in recent years, she's a natural! Her performances are 100% believable! I'm just disgusted by that!

Anyway, I'll probably still watch the awards for a glimpse of CdlF, I'm going to miss him the most :)

Dio may not make it. If the other villains live on in pain, imprisoned, and we've lost quite a few good guys, I'm wondering if the novela gods don't require that Dio meet his maker. He has been branded over and over again as the mastermind and truly evil one with regard to our main couple and those they love (Augustina, Miriam, Agatha). There would be an uneven death count with Padre B., Alonso, Ximena, Augustina, Luzma's father, gone and our villains all in jail. Just a thought.

I am glad to see that Luzma is going to recover, I think, without Leo's death. That would have been an easy and probably not very believable solution. As Vivi said earlier, there will be a PSA-style ending for Luzma's suffering. Who knew it would be alternative therapy (though she has said that the conventional psychological therapy did help some)?

All just speculation. Lots to get tied up tonight and lots of happiness we need to see happen for our Scoobies and friends. And, still hanging out there is in the subplot department are Piedad's diagnosis and Roman's adoption and Abraham's release. And the romance resolutions of course!

I haven't had much time to comment in the last few days, but I do want to again thank all of you fantastic recappers for a great ride. Thanks to all the commenters as well. It's been fun, and I'm sorry it ends here for this TN. Hope to see you again in future. Saludos a todos!

Thanks for all the work that brightened my Fridays. Glad you finally got action and boy did you!

I wondered how they would finally eliminate the problem of the aneurysm. Very clever of the writers to make the kidnapping (which I also did not expect and I even cheated and read Wikipedia a long time ago to help understand what was happening) solve that issue and force Dan and Cam into Dio's hands.

I had a fun AM discussing last night with the lady who cuts my hair. I will be late in seeing tonight's episode though. Going out tonight.

Thanks again to all of you.

Cindy

So I just googled the TV y Novelas awards and found this page where it says Sylvia Navarro is nominated! Am I missing something? http://www.terra.com/entretenimiento/tv/noticias/lista_completa_de_nominados_a_los_premios_tv_y_novelas_2013/oci1438775

Is there anywhere that a non-Spanish speaking person can get news on when TNs start--both the prime time new ones and the afternoon repeats? I would really like to watch some of the older ones that you all talk about and don't really like watching on my computer (though my work computer has a large monitor and I might be able to sneak in eps at lunch).

Lily- That was an early list with preliminary nominations from last month. The list published this week is the final list.

Oh and forgot to mention that I hope Piedad's cancer scare was just a PSA for women to know there are resources in Mexico to get free mammograms. With Gussie's death, the last thing we need is Piedad having to battle cancer.

Lily: it's been noted that those scenes with Piedad took place in October which is Breast Cancer Awareness month. So she's probably fine.

Lily: I should have said those scenes where shot in October.

Oh I see, thank you Vivi in DC, what a let down. I found the updated list with only 3 nominees in each category? I see what you were all talking about Victoria Ruffo being nominated and not Sylvia, (shaking my head) what a shame.

Nanette- I love that you are giving us the final HPLP list little by little throughout the week!

There have been lots of really good tender moments between these characters over the last few episodes. The writers and these actors have done a fine job of conveying how much love and affection all these people have for each other.

I understand why you would have Pablo going after Luzma on the LP list. But he didn't say he was going to bring her back, but instead to give her the news of Leo personally. I don't think he'll pressure her to come back, but will instead do what he always does-- let her know that he'll always be waiting for her. Plus, she has even admitted to herself how much she misses him; she might enjoy seeing him.

It doesn't seem that Briza and Aaron are telling Luzma anything different than the psychologist did. Perhaps it's the manner in which Briza is taking her through the therapy, combined with being in a location far away from her problems, which is also beautiful and tranquil? She gets to spend 100% of her time just focused on herself, instead off all the other drama (hers and everyone else's) she was dealing with back home. I'm just speculating here, but that may be what's making the difference for her with this therapy.

Vivi- I like it that they are making the point that different people respond to different styles of therapy, different situations, different healers. Just the peace of the Chiapas community must be healing after the constant danger and conflict at Malquerida, which lasted even more years for Luzma because she had Leo lurking around and pushing her and Piedad around for all of Luzma's life.

By this time Friday afternoon, I am ready to book my flight to Aaron's community!

Vivi and TL: Good point about Luz's therapy being more helpful in such a place because she is away from all the drama and Aaron and his people are such good souls. I know a couple of people that just by being around them I feel lighter and happier, they give off such a beautiful energy.

As for Pablo hightailing it to Chiapas--that's the downside of posting the list by day instead of week. If Pablo does go to Chiapas only to tell Luz the news and that he knows what she had planned for him and that she is his one true love, and then leaves again, that entry would have been deleted before posting. I'm hoping that's what he does so I can put him back where he belongs.

Nanette wrote: "Is there anywhere that a non-Spanish speaking person can get news on when TNs start--both the prime time new ones and the afternoon repeats?"

I too would love to know some places to find this info. Indeed, a while ago I suggested that CarayCaray could have a section devoted just to news about the start of TNs, both new and repeats, and not just on Univisión but also on Telemundo and other places. All we'd need is a section where people could go to post info when they hear about a TN about to start, and perhaps also TNs being filmed. I'm not talking about a lengthy synopsis or list of characters, just a sentence or two to give a heads up. I'd find this IMMENSELY useful.

Juanita: what an awesome idea!!!!

Please, please, please Powers That Be. Can we have something like what Juanita suggested? :)

5FT, you are an incredibly talented woman! There are so many things happening in your life and, yet, you've taken the time to write such wonderful recaps for us time and time again.

Thank you SO much. I hope you will continue to recap!

Fatima

Tonight's the night. Haven't been able to read everything, or watched anything since Monday. I couldn't let another night go by without thanking all the wonderful camaraderie on this tn--it's a sensational collection of differing views, opinions and observations AND we get along famously. Unless QBA keeps us all together, I'm going to miss you all

I'm going to miss the wonderful recaps--you have put your hearts and sould and minds into giving us the best that you have. We've been the beneficiaries of the great word-crafting.

I will miss this tn most of all. I'll miss Camila and Daniel--I'll miss Silvia and Cristian just as much. Shame on TVNovelas y Series--I did catch that much of the controversy.

Hasta pronto amigos y amigas. That's all for now.

Nanette, I have no idea about Camila but the two leads don't do anything for me as lead actors. I was willing to accept EC as the cousin of the Reyes brothers in FELS but to me he is less alpha than any of them were.

I also don't think the women get harsher justice; I think the justice meted out by novela writers is proportionate to the crime, but within the limits of what television allows them to do.

Had I written this, I would have had Leoncerdo castrated by a potential victim, even if that had to be Piedad. The scene where he attacked her in the upstairs room was disturbing. Her status as mother of the original victim supercedes that of sister of the perp. Had Hipolito arrived two seconds later she could have had the necessary adrenaline rush to do that if she had a weapon handy.

Hissadora's punishment is completely appropriate. She enjoyed her crimes so no other punishment would have been adequate.

This is making me wonder whether we would have felt any differently about her had she castrated Leoncerdo in addition to cutting out his tongue. She certainly had the opportunity and the assistance of Dionicio's henchmen. This could have been a message to them to fear her while taking out the anger she would have felt on the men who victimized her when she was Luzma's age. This is a woman who always knew how to kill two birds with a single stone.

Dionicio, on the other hand, never did any of his own killing unless he could be held legally responsible for Augustina's suicide. Not that this lessens his guilt, but I think this is more than intelligence at work: He probably doesn't enjoy the sight of blood and he certainly doesn't want the job of cleaning it up. The only person at any risk of actually being killed by him is Daniel and that would not be the case if not for his insane obsession with Camila.

About Luzma's new therapist:

My heart soared when Aaron introduced Luzma to Brisa, a dark-eyed beauty with an enigmatic smile in a peasant dress cuddling a quivering black chicken as she lovingly stroked its neck.

YES! Surely we were going to have some animal sacrifice as part of the alternative therapy... well at least some tasty therapeutic chicken soup.

Well heck, sounds like more likely she got a little New Age feel good talk instead. She was probably bored into a recovery.

Carlos

Carlos- Maybe there was a chicken sacrifice and a little egg rubbing over the body too, and they are depriving us of seeing it. :)

She probably keeps that chicken for its eggs.

I would have preferred to see a cute little monkey but, oh, well... Novelas need more pets in them.

I'm going to imagine that there was at least a leaf/herb bath or rub down, and some incense burning during these sessions to make Brisa worthy of the shaman title. :)

Vivi: When my cat Diva escaped outside for 3 weeks, I contacted a shaman in California to convince her to come back. I think this shaman is a lawyer by day.

What I meant to say was that not all shamans use herbs and incense.

I was just kidding Aleta. Wanted to give Carlos some more spice to Luzma's rather tame therapy.

Vivi, after what we've seen lately it's going to take more than a handful of leaves and a few hot rocks to satisfy me.

Aleta, were any chickens sacrificed in the search for your cat?

Carlos

Ay, Carlos. I think you're just going to have to be satisfied with that delicious looking drink in your avatar. Is it a special AB finale drink? I was thinking of some Baileys in hot chocolate for tonight...

No, but when you've got someone on the phone line translating messages back and forth to a cat, and you're supposed to be talking to a cat (and you have a big smile on you face because you can't believe you're doing this), it's quite interesting.

I actually have a bottle of Yago Sangria that I bought to see if it still tastes like it did when I was in college.

Carlos: as far as I'M concerned there has been no injuring of animals to help Luz. That would defeat the purpose.

Vivi, that is a garden-variety margarita which I hope to duplicate for tonight's episode. Shhhh! 2 limes are relaxing comfortably in the fridge blissfully unaware of the sacrifice they will be required to make this evening.

Carlos

In the latest People en Espanol, there are some nice pictures of Cristian de la Fuente with his wife and daughter at their home in Miami. What a cutie his daughter is!

5 Ft - Loved your recap, as usual. I always laugh at your succinct and dry wit.

Mr Mena generously let me turn off reruns of "24 hours" to see this epi! When Hipo heard Piedad scream, he shook his head and said "My boy Leo is going to have his face rearranged, again! My boy is going downnn."

Some of my favorite recap lines are:

"nightgown snogger.." ... - soo true. What is up with smelling victims' clothes between Bruno and Leo?

"one malodorous, murderous sibling" ... - that is an understatement, to be sure.

"what's up dude?..." and don't forget, "this is just business"...

Good ones.

Loved PdelB's comment about what a good little actress trying to escape. I vote for the baby being tied for cutest cast member next to Maja.

I also noticed that the cop took the time to size up Isa next to the picture. "So, Fulano.. see the profuse bleeding and burned lady who practically looks like a zombie? Let's see if she is the lady we"re looking for" not "Fulano, we have a medical emergency while searching for a fugitive.. call for help."
Geez! I thought I recognized one of the crooks who dumped her as a Dio henchman. The one without hair, I thought, but not sure.

RE: The TN "Camila" is really old-school. The two stars might not even still be married?! It isn't a bad TN, really. It just is so old school. One of the women who torments Camila is recently on an ATT commercial.

So Yago is out and about on his own? Here's a possible ending for him.....

Option 1: Yago leaves home to make his way in the world. He finds his previous "lady of the streets" and one of his stupid synapses fires off the idea that he can be the owner of the red light hotel in a new town.

Option 2: Yago leaves home and ends up coming to the US. He pretends he is a wealthy South American polo player and becomes a gigolo.

Other future life plans for Yucky PogoStick Yago?

5ft: Thanks ever so much for the recaps. No idea where you found the time to do it amidst your busy schedule.

Forgot to inquire before as to how your chocolate/caramel exhibition worked out. Had me drooling almost as much as Leoncio, just thinking about it.

"Aaron asks Luzma how her therapy went. Luzma says she eventually told Brisa everything. "I didn't want to accept that I was afraid of facing what had happened and that in a way I was denying myself the chance to be happy." She doesn't think she's gotten over it, but she's feeling hope now."

Thanks. I definitely missed part of that.

Hmm, makes me wonder whether Luzma was ever able to open up to the in-town therapist and tell everything? Did we even find out if she had a female therapist?

Carlos: Maybe she found the new age patter and such more soothing than boring and felt safe enough to articulate what she was feeling more fully.

It doesn't always solve everything, but just being able to gain enough control over "the problem" to contain it within words is often a big step forward.

Vivi (or anyone): How does the Premios nomination process work? First the "editors" put together the preliminary lists, but then popular input (on line voting?) is used to narrow the field to the finalists? Then someone (who?) picks the actual winners?

If the "editors" put out a list with SN's name and then it turns into a popularity contest to narrow the field, we may have to stop griping at the Televisa honchos and put the mystifying selection final nominees down to differences in what this group of Anglos value in a performance or performer and what the bulk of the Mexican viewership values.

It may not be very realistic or typical to follow families living on grand, historic, haciendas, but part of the TN experience is a certain degree of exposure to "real" Mexican culture through exposure to what "sells" a popular entertainment there.

I sometimes see ratings associated with various episodes, but it seems a lot has to do with the original time-slot as to what counts as a big audience. Were the original time slots similar to when the shows were on in the US? Maybe a lot more people were exposed to Lagrimas than Bravio?

PS Wikipedia is evil. A while back I was just looking to track down who plays whom and had to "stifle" the info that Augustina dies for weeks. I thought the pages were safe. I'd been looking up unfamiliar titles mentioned in the discussions here and the synopses given were generally limited to the premise or set up for the shows, without much spoiler material.

But then in at least the AB cast list along with name of the actor and role, comes a summary of the character's relationships along with their "ultimate fates": info that includes major spoilers.
Chris in FL

Kat: Once again you've come through an entire novela and managed to keep us laughing week after week. I have totally enjoyed it! Glad you'll be with us for Mejia's Mariachi madhouse and musicale. Salud!

Chris- According to the NovelasLounge page explaining it, after the larger list is published (which really includes almost everyone who is eligible) a group of "experts" (TVyNovelas higher ups) decides who will be on the final list of nominees for the main prizes. The winners, from the shortened list, are chosen live during the show, by a panel of judges of their peers:

"Los ganadores de cada categoria se determinará por el jurado, en vivo, durante el programa. El jurado, como sabemos, está conformado por directores, escritores, actores, actrices y miembros del consejo."

The public gets to vote on a few separate categories called "Favoritos del Publico" (best kiss, best slap, best couple, etc.) and SN shows up in those quite a lot. AB was very popular in Mexico and was on during prime time. Corona de Lagrimas was on earlier in the evening/late afternoon and was geared towards a smaller audience of housewives who really responded to it.

Wikipedia needs to be informed that spoilers should be hidden behind a tab or in some other way; this is not a difficult thing to do. I accidentally learned spoilers about this and other novelas that I felt really interfered with my enjoyment of them.

What's perhaps worse is sometimes I've seen wrong spoilers inserted by trolls.

Again, gracias for the comments!

Alas, I didn't win any awards at Caramelpalooza, but I had a lot of people taste my chocolates (caramelized white chocolate with a crunchy cinnamon caramel...heaven forbid I make anything without chocolate involved!) and enjoy them. I got to see and taste the work of other area chefs, so I have a lot of ideas running around in my head :)

I listened to some Vicente Fernandez on Pandora just to get ready for Monday :D If all else fails and the story is a total dud, I can at least translate all the wonderful mariachi songs.

OMG Kat! That sounds amazing. The judges were as crazy as the TVyNovelas judges if they didn't give you a prize for that recipe. Yum!

Vivo, thanks for the clarification. I'm griping again.
CiF

Lol...yeah, hopefully I won't end up being the Silvia Navarro of the Phoenix food scene :D

Maybe we need to start our own awards...Los Caray :D What would the categories be? Hottest Galan, Cutest Bebe, Best Revenge....

Best Animal, Best Karmageddon.

I like, Yago comes to the US, says he is a famous bullfighter

op 1, yeah, so what?
op 2, he is immediately arrested for animal cruelty, charges from the SPCA

Carlos, I guess the anvil was used for Isa. Now we are going to toast the downfall of Dio.

Hissadora wandering in the woods reminded me of Rasputin. First his assassins tried to poison him. That didn't work so they shot him. That didn't work either so they threw him into a river and ultimately he died from drowning. Hissadora must be in incredible pain yet she can still walk around. I wonder what would have happened if the police hadn't picked her up.

Dionisio's anvil comes crashing down tonight. Can't wait.

Thank you 5FT as ever.
I would like to thank all the wonderful recappers for your fantastic work on the best TN ever. I hope to be able to watch and read the next great one. I can't converse in Spanish but I can read and understand Spanish subtitles and I rely entirely on the English subtitles and translations of CarayCaray recaps.
I also watched AMF and I saw Victoria Ruffo looking so beautiful. the villain, Cesar Evora was great too and I get him confused with his Dionisio most of the time while watching both of his characters. Ms. Ruffo's acting here was great, her crying is on cue and with reason but now if she got nominated for CDL which is so over the top, and Sylvia not being nominated at all for AB, I would be disappointed.
I am content about the poetic justice that Isadora received and I hope she continues to rot in jail. (although I couldn't look at the horrific scene).
The LOL scene of Dionisio and the baby gave way to my thinking that Dionisio really couldn't resist babies. He probably could be a nice grampa to Nat's baby. BUT Dionisio has to pay and go to jail.He is evil.
And lastly, I'm disappointed that the last episode will all be cramped in just an hour.

Love the idea of coming up with the Caray Caray Awards Show. Cesar Evora would be a great host.

I just watched the last episode and I'm just gong to say that this show does not disappoint. Quality to the end! Up to the high standards of the recappers here. Get the tequila ready for a grand salud for the writers and producers and the bulls in the field who all did their jobs well.

Kelly

I will definitely get the DVD when it comes out. I know it will be severely chopped up but I get the DVDs of the novelas I enjoyed as "souvenirs."

I don't expect to see any of the following storylines (maybe briefly) in the DVD:

Ximena's thievery

Bruno blackmailing Ximena

Natalia/Rodolfo

The Help

Leoncio's Illiteracy

Viviana's abuse

The Adoption of Roman

Vivi/Rafa falling in love

Alonso's impotency

Iliana trying to break up
Pablo/Luzma

Daniel/Miriam's marriage

Pablo going against Rocio/Cayetano for Luzma

Rocio's stroke recovery

Leoncio kills Julian/Fidencio & Piedad returns home to seek the truth

Hipolito/Piedad

I don't expect to see the following characters too much (or at all) in the DVD:

Iliana
Mayalen
Francisco
Roman
The Help
Abraham
Iliana's Parents
Tolentino
Irene
Bruno

I base this on the Teresa DVD where the whole "Ruben harasses pregnant Esperanza, has an affair with Genoveva & gets divorced from Mayra" storyline was pretty much gone. Also Paolo getting hooked on drugs was erased. Just one day he was getting drugs from Fito & OD'd in the street. LOL
