PEAM #26 - 04/15/13 – Rescued Valentina and Showers of Love for Jesus Only Fuels the Envy

My heart goes out to all in Boston, what a terrible tragedy on a wonderful day for the city where I lived for 28 years.  I would often have the day off to go to that very area near the end of the race to cheer on the runners and chair racers.  I can’t imagine how people are coping with the death and injury of so many innocent victims.  Paz y amor para todos los victimas.

Refrito:   Valentina runs crying into the arms of her MomDragon, who for just that brief moment is crying and only needs a few seconds to start pummeling Valentina with questions but the brave little girl keeps telling her truth to her unhearing Mom.

Nuevas Noticias: Pati tortures Rogue with the news that she is an “intimate friend” of Jesus and of course is going off to the hospital to check on his injuries from the attack.  Rogue decides to head to the hospital to head off Pati against the for once good advice from Fernando.

Veronica starts into her typical rant and threat to punish Valentina for inconveniencing her with the emotions of fear that her tightazz world has been upset.  Alma steps forward to defend Valentina and gets to hear the harpy Vero screech but also gets to tell her that she is Alma.  Veronica ever full of it, is sure that Chatita is Alma but Valentina, Alma and Chatita all try to set her straight.  Veronica is so abusive in front of Valentina again which Alma tries to correct her from saying these untrue things about Jesus to Valentina.   Sorry, Carlos, it is so hard to write this ugly stuff pouring out of Veronica.  I hope she gets caught by the Yuri gang, she is not worth saving.  Such a dirty fighter to take out her anger at the adult men in her life at the expense of her young daughter.

Veronica has other bad news coming, not only is Alma the grand beauty, ex-boss of Jesus who defends his worth, she finds out that Jesus is getting a better job and has Pati showing up to add the worry about others valuing Jesus.  Pati gives him a big hug which he jokes with Pati is breaking his rib.  Alma looks on sadly, and best of all Veronica has to sit and watch so many people loving on Jesus.  The loving and well balanced (was she adopted? She couldn’t possibly come out of a harpy’s gene pool) Valentina hugs her papa Jesus and moments later her papa Elias  with equal enthusiasm.  The Jesus club members are helping fill the hospital waiting room when Rogue and Fern turn up with rather weak excuses for showing up.  Rogue feebly tells Pati he cares for the well being of all his employees at Avon.  Eyes roll around the room.

Rogue takes a very short call from the bad boys that Chatita chamber pot-whipped, hanging up on Malvino so no one in the waiting room can smell the rat odor through his iphone.  He continues the farce that he and Fernando are both so concerned with Jesus and indeed all their wonderful employees.  To show a scintilla of sincerity, he goes to the cashier to pay for Jesus’ procedures.

Jesus asks permission of the sour-pussed Veronica then takes Valentina aside and tells her gently that she should not run off like that but he completely forgives her and understands what she did.  Everyone watches, the women especially wishing they were the girl in his arms.  Only Veronica, Rogue and Fern roll their eyes with jealous envy and disbelief.

Veronica finally snatches Valentina out of the loving moment with Alma more envy of anyone giving her daughter love and appreciation.  She will have more trouble berating her daughter with effectiveness after this??  I hope it is a wake up call that other people treat Valentina well and are openly affectionate with her.

Elias is handed Valentina by Jesus and he showers her with affection too.  This spurs another green spew from Veronica who realizes Elias knew who Alma was and knew that she was big, powerful, beautiful and sexy!! Elias agrees with her adding, elegant, but pointedly says what we really need to talk about is OUR problems.  Veronica is not at all ready to face that bit of reality.  She would do well in a religious order based on jealousy, bitterness, and sanctimonious sureness that everyone else is evil.

In the garage, Jesus’ jumps out of the car to thanks Alma for saving Valentina and being so helpful with his situation.  Their eyes speak volumes and apparently Rogue can read them too.  He mutters under his breath that this is proof that something is definitely going on between Jesus and Alma.  Pati restrains herself but blows kisses to Jesus rather than hugging him like before.  Oh my, to see so much jealousy in such a small garage.  It turns out that it is Fernando who is driving Jesus and Chatita home.

Fernando coyly inquires about who attacked Jesus, didn’t he see them and recognize them.  No, they were wearing masks but he does think he would remember their voices, that seemed familiar.  Jesus has to insist that Fernando help him take the sleepy, wobbly Chatita into her house she is exhausted by these traumatic events.

Back at the Vile Villa of Veronica, Elias helps tuck the sleepy Valentina in bed.  He is thanked sweetly by his loving step-daughter.  Veronica rages on him about his nerve in walking out on her, blah, blah FF>> FF>>in spite of the child needing to sleep.  Elias is getting a backbone however, and says he has nothing to apologize for.  It looks like he just wants to get away from the barrage of verbal abuse too.  I didn’t catch whether she could smell the forbidden foods on his breath but he doesn’t seem inclined to kiss her or be near enough for further insults.

Fernando complains of needing a chiropractor tomorrow to adjust his back from the aches of lifting little Chatita.  He is so solicitous with Jesus who is not fooled at all and only wonders out loud why Fernando was cursing him earlier in the day and now is all friendly.  Fernando does not convince him with any degree of truth to his protestatons but seems to go off thinking they are safe and that Jesus has no idea who attacked him.

Chatita comes back out of her room and has to be reminded of who Jesus is and where they are.  But they sit and discuss the break in and Jesus can remember the voices and faces of the attackers.  Chatita can remember the two skulls on the tattoo and shortly is able to draw the tattoo with some precision.  Together they are pretty sure the oily Fernando is in on this somehow.  Speaking of oily, Fernando calls his big brother to brag that Jesus is clueless about who attacked him, he made sure of that!  Is there a bingo square for delusional characters who think they are getting away with some big evil due to their obvious brilliance?? Huh?

Rogue holds his bulldog puppy while Malvino winces at the sight of the dog, he is taking his money or something in garbage bags?? He really wishes Rogue would break out the good booze and be a better host.  He also insists that he and his partner could move in to this big elegant house since Rogue has too much room.  He asks how many bedrooms this elegant house has, surely enough for him to move in and live in comfort.  Rogue doesn’t seem to know how to get rid of him so Malvino begins to peel off his jeans and make himself comfortable on the couch hoping the spare bedrooms will be prepared.

My second least favorite character, Maricela is berating her father again.  He is concerned with how she got such an expensive looking clutch.  She flounces out of the tin roofed shack with an amazing amount of baseless hubris.  We shake our head in unison with her confused and seemingly kindly father.

Jesus appears in another great looking suit but bruised chin to the federal agent/probation lady.  He is reluctant but finally is forced to tell her that two bad types broke in his house and beat him up.  She wonders if this is connected to the smuggling incident wanting to know what they stole.  Nothing shrugs, Jesus’ he doesn’t really have anything much to steal.

Malvino is awakened from his sweet dreams on the sectional couch, he has somehow found silk pajamas to wear and a nice blanket.  Rogue comes down the stairs screaming that he must get off his couch.  He has to go back to the bodega, he assures Malvino that Jesus has no idea who attacked him so the coast is clear.

The federal agent and her band break into Malvino’s bodega, it’s probably empty but we will find out soon enough.

Back at Avon we are all treated to the physique and charming smile of the candidate who we all know is going to replace Jesus.  Finally Ninel Conde makes her entrance. Only poor Jessica seems her usual clueless self.  Pablo will have to help with her whole name but Discua Soledad Cervantes will do for the moment.  She is our bombshell of the week.  Fernando goes into an altered state of excitement.  Jessica, Jesus, Malvino, everything is wiped from his memory.

Next time:  She seems very saavy winking at Fernando and then winking at Alma.  This may be the divine form that actually has a functioning brain inside.  Let’s hope, it will be ever so much more fun.  Jesus shows up at his new executive job and is right away being treated with dignity, this can’t last…

Gracias Cheryl!

I have missed several days' worth of recaps and comments (but not episodes). Yet again, I am in catchup mode. But that's what Monday nights are for.

Tonight's episode is one of the very few where I've actually, literally, laughed out loud. It was the mixup over who Chucho's girlfriend was. I was so (irrationally) relieved when they finally ironed out the confusion about Alma and Chatita... but then Alma mentioned Xochi... And then Paty showed up...

So Ninel is working at Avon and not Orion. I did not see that coming, but I have to admit I'm just as happy not to have her nosing around our Chucho. :-)

Wonderful Cheryl! So quick and so witty! I'm prepped and ready to watch it now.

Cheryl:

Thank you so much for this wonderful, funny recap. I had to laugh myself silly with Malvino and his funky boxer shorts and then he woke up in those silk jammies, lol. Too funny.

I also liked the snide smiling that Patymelt was doing when Rog was watching Alma and Chucho say good bye in the garage.

I also liked how Chucho squeezed Fern's hand so hard he winced. Lol.

I also liked that when Vero was about to go postal, the police edged closer and Vero lowered her voice and thought twice about the punishment of Valentina for running away. I was hoping they would haul her off, and that Valentina would be going off with either Elias or Chucho. Vero needs to shut up and get help.

Glad the police went to the bodega. I hope there is evidence in there.

Discua looks like she is going to shake up Avon as much as Chucho did. I hope Discua doesn't take Fern's crap either : )

Thanks, Cheryl. I've warmed up more to this TN and loved how Vero had to see the Chucho fan club gathering at the hospital. Chucho reasoning with Valentina was so sweet and I could see most of the ladies agreed with me. I was at least halfway melted into a puddle of goo ...
La Paloma

Thanks, Cheryl, for the great recap! I felt so sorry for Valentina having to go home with mamá Verónica without papá Elías staying permanently to buffer Verónica's craziness. Chatita continues to be one of my favorite characters along with her Xmas tree.

Jarifa

Gracias, Cheryl!

One thing I love about this show is that the good guys are not idiots. I was impressed at Chatita's visual memory and drawing skills, and then Chucho was able to remember where he'd seen that tattoo before, and then he told the police about it right away! In some shows it would have taken him two months to do that.

Isn't it kind of foolish for the police to take Chucho along to the raid? Seems unnecessarily dangerous to me. Of course, we know that Malvino is off wearing satin jammies and probably treating himself to a delicious breakfast and all the fancy toiletries at Rogue's place, but the polis don't know that.

Thanks for the recap.
This time I really needed it because yesterday I got a long distance phone call and I only watched but couldn't hear or pay attention to detail like I usually do, and this is very satisfying.

Yes! Is still Nov. 3rd finally turning into 4th!

The new word I learned today was BALACLAVA and even when I got down the Ninel Conde trivia, I missed Chatita's, when I herad her say something about colonia ''Nuevo Repueblo''.
Was she born there, or is she living there? I know it doesn't matter because she can get very forgetful for some things but then she can draw tattoos like she was the one who designed it in the first place!

Trivia: Discua is not a name. The first time I heard it as a last name was when watching TODO PARA LA MUJER one of the show business reporter's said his name was Mario Discua (by chance, destiny, coincidence or on purpose) works here as the little fat security guy named Gaspar.

Anyway, Discua in spanish sounds so bad that I doubt it will become a trend with newborn babies, like those Vanessas from the past!

Wonderful recap Cheryl!! Some good comedy last night without too much over the top antics. Also, first time I saw the different beginning and liked some of those close-ups. FC does know how to do a suit. Hopefully at his new job we will see him decked out in better finery going forward.

As to Vero--it was everything in my power not to throw something at the TV listening to her rantings. Brava to Alma for calling her out on running at the mouth in front of her daughter. And thankfully, there was no caving from Elias. I was a little worried there she would manipulate him and he would come back to her. I just don't understand her constant self-centered attitude and her inability to listen to anyone. There are flickers there of humanity, and then she just switches it off....what is her story???

Man, I thought we would go a whole episode without the worthlessness that is Maricela.

Mal was hysterical. Yeah explain that to Alma at Thursday night nookie if Rog can't get rid of the guy. Would serve him right, but I think our dear little pooch might not like the new roomie.

My heart goes out to the city of Boston as well Cheryl. I spent parts of the afternoon talking to some associates in the Boston office and events were frightening and very sad.

Daisynjay

Cheryl: I am not watching PEAM but saw your lovely comment on your thoughts and prayers for Boston and its citizens and visitors.

I have lived in Massachusetts for 40 years and work not far from Boston. I also have been praying for everyone involved in this tragedy and while the human spirit will recover, it can't help but be marred with all the senseless tragedy that must end.

Thanks again Cheryl.

Diana

My heart goes out to all the victims in the Boston Marathon.

Thanks Cheryl, the most important part of your re-cap was the name of the new secretario I will call her for now, Sexy Soledad...( CC3 did not translate name)

I had wondered when will the lady in the tight green dress show up...

All the PEAM Divas will have to slide back one space. The new leader of the Sexy - Divas has arrived.

Step back Jessy, Fern don't want you anymore.(you were just teasing anyway).

Pati, I think Soledad has more "junk in the trunk".

This has now become "must see" TV or TN, or T&A...

Anon#1

Thanks, Cheryl -- great recap! My faves:

- "the bad boys that Chatita chamber pot-whipped"

- "hangs up...so no one in the waiting room can smell the rat odor through his iphone"

- "so much jealousy in such a small garage"!

I thought Rogue was particularly hilarious tonight. His expression of rictus smile and bug eyes when he asked about Chatita -"Y quién es...amable...persona?" - was a scream. And when he and Fer were snarking at each other at accounts payable -- juárever, juárever/encanto, encanto -- they really seemed to be having fun.

Pati's still my favorite, though. I love the way she sets the phone flat on her palm and enunciates over it. "Íntimooooo..."

Notes: you didn't miss much by FFing through Vero; she just offered Elías some lentil-balls with coliflor and was all offended when he decined. And Malvino's sidekick was in the crowd at the bodega, thought-bubbling (if that's not too ambitious a term) that it was a good thing they emptied everything out. And now he's seen Jesús with the police, so drat!

Thanks Cheryl for such a fun recap. And thanks for giving a shout out to Boston. I send my good wishes along with yours. I did my undergrad in Boston and still have friends he stayed in the area after graduation. Very scary.

Chucho's growing fan club was great, as was seeing Vero's growing jealousy over it. I'm glad Elias is sticking to his guns. I'm disappointed that Vero didn't realize how her actions caused this mess with her daughter and husband. Hopefully, once she's slept on it, she'll start to see the light.

I'm glad Chucho told the authorities about the thugs and the possible connections to both Yuri and Fern/Rogue. Too bad the place has been cleared out. Now, on to the new job!

Thanks so much Cheryl. This was wonderful. And thank you for expressing for all of us our sorrow over the marathon bombing.

There were so many nice moments in this episode. I enjoyed watching Jessica as she wriggles in anticipation of getting her job back -- knowing full well that she is about to be left in the bodega.

I also enjoyed Fernando's smug assurance that Jésus hasn't a clue about who attacked him -- when we knew that he & Chatita were putting the bits together.

I also loved the way the cops edged closer to Vero & Vale as Vero berated the poor little thing. And of course the tender moments between Valentina and her two dads were "Awwww" inducing.

Güera

Thanks Cheryl...both for your heartfelt acknowledgment of the tragedy in Boston and your wonderfully witty recap. Blue Lass mentioned all my favorites except "Vile Villa of Veronica".

Although I was shocked by Vero's quick morphing into punishment mode, that is a typical reaction of parents who have been horribly scared. NOT A GOOD OR HEALTHY REACTION...BUT A TYPICAL ONE. I've seen it many times, and my mom tended to accelerate quickly from worry to anger. Ah, the human condition.

Had to laugh tho' when Vero thought veggie meatballs with cauliflower would tempt Elias to kiss and make up....Try a steak next time lady!

Great comedy with Rogelio, Fernando, Malvino and Pati. Loved Rogelio's horror at the thought of Malvino sleeping in the buff on his couch...so horrified that he lent him a snazzy pair of silk pj's (Malvino doesn't like flannel!) so he could snooze.

Fun stuff last night and of course, who can resist Colunga when he's acting with a child? Brings back memories of Alborada and the little fellow in it who clearly adored the actor.

Thanks Miss Cheryl...smart, witty but also sensitive. Straighten out our Vero, will ya'?

Can Vero be redeemed?? For the sake of Val, lord let's hope so, but the more I see of Vero, the more she and Rog would make the perfect couple. Of course, that is AFTER Chucho has dual custody, at the least, of the little princessa and she can escape the looney tunes pair on a regular basis. I love Petimelt too much to leave her with Rog in this TN. Now she and Elias--that would be a scream, and just could work? Think?

I'm sure Vero can be redeemed...if only because Carlos is in her corner, and his redeem-intuition never fails.

But also, her face softened several times as Valentina and Chucho hugged, also with Elias...so there's a tender heart in there somewhere. We just have to scrape off all the dross of her control freak outer persona to get to it. Time (and Carlos) will work its magic, I have no doubt. So far he's batting a thousand when it comes to mujeres.

Gracias Cheryl

Wike has Ninel's name as
Discua Cervantes / Lucia Sotomayor, did they give both names when introducing her?
I didn't recognize her, she looked so different in FELS

Veronica will change, she couldn't always have been this way. Otherwise Jesus nor Elias would have been interested. But she sure has a poker up her nalgas. Too funny with all the guapas showing up for Jesus, adding to her jealousy.

I need this TN after Cielos.
So glad Jesus is getting into a suit, guapisímo.

It escapes me, from what does Jesus know Malvino?

Variopinta, Jesús knows Malvino from the warehouse Rogue sent him to to pick up the "cigars" (actually dirty money.)

Love seeing the main cast all together in one room, fun to see them eyeing each other, especially Rog. His expressions just crack me up!

Agree with you julia about jesus being at the raid. suuuuuure they're going to put him front and center. But at least he's keeping his parole officer up-to-date, probably will come in handy later down the line.

I think jesus knows him because Fer sent him to pick up some "turkish cigars" from malvino once.

Have missed a couple of episodes so thanks for all the recaps recappers :)

jlk

I agree Judy, never under-estimate the instincts and power of Carlos when it comes to our lovely mujeres.
But boy, Carlos, do you have your work cut out for you!
I will personally be happy to work on Rog...:)

Great recap, Cheryl. Thanks.

Loved how Valentina crossed her legs when she sat down, just like her mama did.

I feel sorry for Vero—not the abusing Val part, of course (though I know sometimes parents’ relief turns to anger when they have a scare like that). But her well-ordered life is crumbling around her and she doesn’t know what to do. She needs her life shaken up, but it’s very hard on her. It doesn’t help that she has long buried feelings for Jesus and is jealous of any woman who he knows. I do think it’s not the best idea to leave Val alone with Vero under these conditions. She needs a buffer, as Jarifa noted.

JudyB: “veggie meatballs with cauliflower”—actually sounds good to me. Also, I agree that Vero is redeemable. She did soften when she watched Val with her daddies.

Did I see Elias with one of the long-haired characters that look alike to me (NG and the psychiatrist) in the new opening credits?

I really like how Val loves both her daddies equally.

Vivi: the federal agent played a lawyer in one of my TNs, either: MEPS. STuD or CME (not AB). I think it was CME. I know you'll know.

My heart also goes out to Boston: the victims, their families and friends and the city.

Nanette

Maricela is a total barnacle in this novela ... she needs to be scraped off. Or at least, let her move into an apartment (with roommates if necessary), but take her away from that sweet man of a father. I hate seeing him suffer and it doesn't do anything for the story. Anyone who treats a parent like that is as irredeemable as one who abuses a child.

I hate hate hate to ask, but...

...is there any chance someone can recap for me tonight? I'll cover for you next week, or whatever... I hate to miss Chucho's first day on the job, but I'm still not 100% yet.

Anon 3:33: I feel sorry for Marciela so I'm going to defend her :)

Granted her treatment of her father is harsh. But we don't know their past history. Maybe her dad was a drunk and her mother died of a broken heart or committed suicide, for example. This is not a spoiler, by-the-way, it's speculation.

I want to know more about Marciela's past.

Maybe we'll find out she's the product of loving, but poor parents, and she's just a little b***h.

Great job Cheryl, very well done.

Did anyone else notice what a lovely smile Verónica has when she informed us that we can go online to see episodes that we miss? Maybe Verónica is sort of a PSA for what can happen with a lack of meat. Maybe she doesn't need so much to be redeemed but needs some good barbeque.

Carlos

I love seeing the characters in the promos. They seem so homey; they're like fireside chats.

Did anyone else catch Alma's full name for her confirmation certificate? Alma Montemayor Mejía. Ja ja.

I read, don't ask me where that Jorge Aravena is leaving the cast. Mex is on cap 135, so probably wont matter that much to us.

Didn't he do the same thing in
La que no podía amar ?

Judy, thanks for your confidence and thanks for your concern daisynjay but Verónica is a veritable saint compared to some of my earlier projects. Judy, if you'll remember, Coni sent Oscar and Jero to kill Monita while she was in a coma...so far, Vero has been a bit bitchy...piece of cake.

daisynjay, I am very fond of Rog so good luck with him. This is the first time I've seen him in a TN and he is such a hoot. I have a patient who looks just like him with that same impish smile and who is almost as naughty.

Carlos

Julie...I hope one of your teammates can cover for you, but if they can't, remember that you can just post the title and let people fill in what happened in the comments section. This has happened numerous times before and it's all worked out. Your health and well-being comes first.

Nannette...sure, veggie meatballs and cauliflower sound fine to you and me but I'm thinking Elias would prefer a big ol' hunk of pulled pork...plus an apology and a recognition of wrongs on the side.

Nanette- We last saw her as the bank lady in CME. Remember when Jero got the bank to make that loan to the Monterrubios in order to save their company, and the bank lady tells Renata and tells her what a great and generous guy Jero is? And this is after Renata has dumped Jero, left wine country, and was filing for divorce, thinking he was the worst kind of person, marrying her out of revenge.

...and in any case, hadn't Elías already eaten about nine meals? I can't imagine anything Vero offered him would have sounded good at that point...

I think I heard Maricela tell her father she's not like her mother when he was questioning her about the wallet, that she knew what she was doing. Did she mean her mother "settled" for her father? Or that her mother accepted "gifts" from someone and then left her family? Or met an untimely end? Hmmmmm

I'm being bad at a conference so I'll read comments later. Thank you Cheryl for such a rich and fun recap! I really enjoyed last night's show. Loved Alma's defense of Valentina and Luuuurved all the love Jesus was getting! How refreshing how quick Jesus is in figuring out who's trying to clean his clock! I know they're bad guys, but I enjoy Rogue (for his continual irritation at all the affection and attention Jesus is getting from everyone, especially Alma while juggling jealously guarding Pattycake. Fern is silly and lusty, totally superficial but I like how he seemed to genuinely be touched by Valentina's cuteness and he shook Chatita's hand without hesitation and didn''t wipe it off like
Rogue. I don't think he's as rotten as Rogue but it's still early.

Most of all loved Chucho's lovely, muscle-rippled arms! Lordy!

Lila

If Vero wants forgiveness, she'll have to offer something she can't seem to muster: a SINCERE apology and an effort to meet people halfway.

As far as what Maricela said to her father, I thought it was implied that her mother was given "gifts" as a sort of payment or bribe for sexual favors, perhaps from an employer. But maybe I was reading too much into it...

Rogue is much worse than Fern, but I enjoy watching Rogue a lot more. I've seen Erick Elias in other roles. He had the lead role in both Niña de mi Corazón (I loved it, but I think I might be the only one who watched it) and Tormenta en el Paraíso. This is the first time I've seen him as a jackass and I find it hilarious. He's so ticked off by everything, all the time. Even when he's off having playtime with his mistress he seems pithed about it.

I think he and Vero, who is also hostile even when there's no reason to be, should get together. Who could out-bile the other?

Back when Maricela's dad came to visit her at work in his garbage truck, Maricela mentioned that mom left him/them, because she couldn't stand that life.

JudyB: I totally agree with you that Elias wouldn't be tempted with her vegan offering. Not after tasting forbidden fruit!!!

Vivi: See! I knew you would know. I had her profession wrong, but got the TN right. I'm a mini-Vivi in the making!!!

Nanette- LOL! She seems to be making a career of playing very low-key, business-like, but pleasant, small supporting roles. I guess she has that look.

Forgot to mention that I actually liked Fern for a few seconds at the hospital. I hope that is a hint that he's redeemable.

I'm going to take a flying leap and say that Fern will be redeemed by his love/lust for the virginal but oh-so-shapely new secretary. Having the hots for a virtuous gal will put him on the straight and narrow redemption road.

Vivi: she does seem the type.

I hope the level of villany stays bumbling and funny. . .sometimes I can't take a lot of eevil plotting, murder and mayhem in a novela. . .too much in the real world.

Lila

Gracias for your review. Oh My gosh this blog is so wonderful. Mi spousa and I watch these TN's every night even though our Spanglish is mui bad. What fun Peam is! We really enjoyed Por ella and were sad when it finished but this one was a great replacement! Thank yo Cheryl and everyone.

Today I watched the TN in Martha's house and when Alma read Discua's curriculum I wish I could have paid more attention to the image, just to be able to read everything they say: Sadly, I only got her full name:
Discua Paz de la Soledad.
