Amores Verdaderos #122 Thu 5/2/13 Drama. Drama. Drama!
I found this gem on Facebook. It says: Screw Nikki, I’ll marry Arriaga.
* Lo refrito: will Victoria discover her bare naked husband in the Kendho’s den? * Lo nuevo: of course she won’t because she’s too busy with giving a beautiful necklace to the vixen. As soon as Vicky is out of sight, Nelson starts whining: phew, that was close, it could’ve ruined the wedding of his daughter! *Viewerville: massive side eyes, dude, you should’ve thought about that earlier, doncha think?*
* Beatriz and Guillo are about to leave the apartment house when the receptionist gives them an envelope. He says it’s for the boy. It turns out Leonardo sent Guillo a letter and a big amount of cash so that he can buy that game console he wanted so much. At first Bea doesn’t want to go shopping but the little guy talks her into it. As they leave the building, two men in disguise follow them… Yep, the Lowlife is back.
* Kendra is all dressed up. She looks gorgeous and she knows it: she actually thinks that the necklace Vicky gave her that morning looks more beautiful when she wears it. Poor, stupid Victoria, soon her husband will give her more jewels like that. She picks up her cell phone and says that it will be very useful that evening.
* Everyone and their mother arrived at the patio of the awesome Balvanera mansion (I love this house!) and now they are greeting each other. My beloved Victoria tried to dress like a Greek goddess, but instead she looks like a pink-and-blonde candy with huge Toddlers and Tiaras locks on her head. Adriana notices that her sister is worried but she reminds her of that this wedding was Nikki’s decision and now they have to respect it. Vic just hopes that everything will go well for her daughter.
* The civil wedding is held at the top of the Balvanera mansion. Polita and Lili curiously approach the ceremony, and but uhh-ohh, suddenly Liliana realizes that the young man Nikki is marrying right now is HER Rolando! Roy also recognizes Little Orchid (who’s at the verge of crying), and he becomes pale in a heartbeat. For a few seconds they look each other in the eye, but when the marriage registrar starts talking, he turns back to Nikki… After all, the show must go on. Liliana runs away, Arriaga follows her, and Roy looks miserable and guilt-ridden.
* The Angel asks his solicito why she’s crying. Why? Because she’s a nobody, no one loves her, and everyone prefers tall, skinny girls like Nikki! Poor Arriaga doesn’t understand what the heck happened to his always-smiling daughter, and says that she’s very pretty, too. But no, Lili hates it that all men choose that jerk Nikki over her, and she hates Nicole Brizz Balvanera, too!
* In the meantime the aforementioned Neta Equis Brizz Balvanera and Rolando Pavia Orol are standing in front of the marriage registrar. Roy says acepto, but Nikki’s hesitating. Kendra notices the expression of hope on Francisco’s face, so decides to intervene. She goes up to Neta, giving her the last push, and finally Nikki echoes Roy’s words: sí, acepto. Guzmi looks devastated, but only three people notice his heartbreak: Kendho, Neta and Victoria.
* Finally Little Orchid spills the beans to her father about the boy she met at her birthday, the boy who gave her that heart-shaped pillow. And now that boy is marrying Nikki! You can see on Arriaga’s face that he’s slipping into an angry, protective father mode. Outside everyone congratulates to the married couple (Vicky even hugs the BoyToy, who’s now her son-in-law), except for Frankie, who’s practicing his favourite “suffer silently and clench my jaws" expression.
* While Betty and Guillo are having a great day at the shopping centre, Leo’s accomplice puts stolen jewels into her bag.
* Let’s get back to the wedding: Aníbal makes a toast to the newlyweds, Jocelyn keeps asking after the handsome Angel, and Arriaga is looking for the jerk who played with Liliana’s heart. He finds him at the garden, and now we get one of the most epic scenes of AV, in which the tiny tennis player realizes that the nice bodyguard of Victoria turned into huge, angry gorilla, and he’s about to rip his Elvis-head off. Do you know who I am, shouts Arriaga, while he’s tossing the boy around like a rag doll. I’m Liliana’s father! The girl you tried to take advantage of! Roy’s impactado. He knows that his moments are counted but he tries to convince the raging father that he does care for the Little Orchid. Shut up and stop lying! I’ll warn you only once, just this once: stay away from my daughter, you brat, because the next time I’ll kill you!
* Nikki locks herself up in her room, and she’s crying desperately. Francisco knocks on her door and asks her to let him in, and when she refuses him, he simply kicks the door open. *Viewerville: well, that was… impressive* She tells him to go away. No, he won’t, and he begs her to listen to her heart. She wants to push him away, and then they are about to kiss… When Victoria enters the room. Vicky asks Guzmi to forget about Nikki because she decided, and she’s already married to Roy. Neta defends Frankie: she lies that she was about to throw up and Guzmán was just taking care of her. The teary-eyed Vicky asks Frankie to leave and then she hugs her daughter.
* In the meantime informs Polita about her relationship with Roy. That horrible boy was just playing with her! And she believed him! These rich boys only want to use the poor girls like them, and then they get married with someone else. At least Francisco was always honest with her. Suddenly Roy shows up and he wants to talk with Little Orchid. He wants to explain what happened. No, says the girl, you’re not worth it. Please, Liliana, although she doesn’t believe him, all he said was true, insists the BoyToy. But he gets a triple treatment: the death stare and curses of Polita, the anger of the Angel who swears he’ll kick his butt, and a big slap from Liliana. Okay, I think he understood the message finally.
* Upstairs Nelson tries to blackmail Aníbal: if he doesn’t give him 50% share of the company, he’ll make Candelaria’s letter public.
* Roy joins Nikki in her bedroom. They agree that the civil ceremony was super cool, but they can’t hide the emptiness in their voices. Roy grabs Neta’s hand and his wife rests her head on his shoulder. They’re selfish brats, but in the meantime they’re so adorable.
* Outside on the patio we get another lovely bromance scene with Arriaga and Frankie. The big guy tells the depressed, devastated gorillita an interesting story about a woman who was about to marry a man… but on her wedding day her one true love told her how much he loved her and he begged her not to marry that other man. Frankie’s mesmerized at the story. And what did she do? Well, he married the other guy, says Arriaga, but she regretted it big time. *Viewerville: thanks man, that was very helpful! Are you trolling Guzmi?*
* Since Guzmancito has nothing to lose anymore, the desperate bodyguard decides to take Arriaga’s advice: he begs to Nikki in front of Victoria and Adriana. Please don’t marry him. You’re the only woman I care about, and I never loved anyone the way I love you. Even if you don’t believe me, you could at least avoid ruining your life by marrying the BoyToy. He reaches his hand to her. Nikki stares at him with her big, beautiful brown eyes… and then she turns away and tells the ladies that he doesn’t want to talk to Frankie anymore because his words are hurting her. Let’s go, she doesn’t want to keep Roy waiting. *Viewerville: awwww, pobre Guzmi*
* The security guys catch poor Betty and now she has to face the charge of shoplifting. She’ll be sent to the police station. No, says Bea, please don’t do that to me, now what will happen to my son? She hugs Guillo, who’s desperately crying.
* We’re at the church. (Do you see that cute little boy next to Enrique Rocha? He’s Nicolás, the son of Erika Buenfil.) The bride, the groom and the bodyguard look miserable like hell. Nikki can’t hold the truth back anymore, so she whispers to Roy that she doesn’t love him. The BoyToy looks surprised, but he also confesses that he doesn’t love her either. Nikki continues her confession: I’m in love with Francisco Guzmán. Who-hoo.
Labels: Amores
Confession time: I’ve been sitting at the BoyToyRobRoy’s table for a while, it seems I have a thing for stupid but cute little brats. But I enjoyed it when Arriaga manhandled him, he deserved it.
In Mexico there’re only seven episodes left. The actors and cast members are always posting heartwarming but in the same time depressing “last group photo/last photo of the Balvanera house/I’ll miss my colleagues so much” stuff on Twitter. :(
This photo is hilarious! I can't wait to read your whole recap of this very busy epi! Thanks for the laugh : )
That was one wacky episode. Totally fooled most of us I expect (except that I knew FF would have time to hide).
Loved seeing JA tossing Roy around like a rag doll and Lili slapping him, and Guzman's many attempts to get Nikki to make a wise decision. And then the surprising tender moments between Nikki and Roy as they both looked SO uncertain about the step that had just taken and the ones they were about to take. Somehow, I think they'll both back out of the Church wedding tonight.
And Nikki looked beautiful in both her wedding looks. Love how she used her great-grandma's comb in both looks.
Calling on Caraymates in the DC-Metro area! Anita and I are headed to a Lila Downs concert in Manassas (http://www.hyltoncenter.org/calendar/242/) this Sunday, Cinco de Mayo, with some amigas but one of Anita's amigas has dropped out and we have an extra ticket. If you would like to attend the concert with us and a few other fun women, please e-mail Anita asap at: almeg "at" verizon "dot" net. I think you can figure out that e-mail address.
You are always so generous in sharing your amazing pictures and photo galleries with us.
A gem!!
Aribeth, I am dragging my chair across the patio and am almost at Roy's table to join you. I am a sucker for tears and that's what started to turn the tide for me.
I had the feeling the cast was close and you just confirmed it. I imagine they had a lot of fun on the set!
Audrey, I was surprised last night, I wasn't expecting things to go the way they did.
Bea. Poor, poor Bea. Can someone kill Leo and do it immediately? (Did I just really say that??)
Diana
Also, when Nikki was hesitating to utter "accepto", I could not believe Kendra rushed over, urging her to utter words she didn't want to say. In spite of everything Kendra has done, I hated her at that moment almost as much as when she ordered Cris' murder. Beyond cruel.
It was indeed sobering to see Nikki and Roy in her bedroom, sitting on the bench looking as though they lost everything. Let's hope they rectify that tonight.
Think it's clear now the writers are intending to put Roy and Lili together.
Diana
Still not liking Roy. I could watch JA grabbing him and Lili slapping him again and again and again.
Where's Salsero? Leo's nuts, but it's seems he's come up with a plan that will work.
Vivi - Enjoy the Lila Downs concert. If I weren't headed for NC this weekend, I'd be tempted to go.
that will work.
Through all the chaos during this Capitulo you would think it would be enough for the writers or even for us, but nope they have to torment poor Beatriz. I felt so bad for her. Those advances had me upset.
If it's ok I'm going to comment now because I have work in a bit and not sure how busy of a day it's going to be and I have to get this out before I burst.
The background music throughout the whole capitulo was on point and perfectly put together for every scene. They did an amazing job. I really enjoyed this capitulo though I teared up on more than one occasion and shed tears on one.
I felt so bad for Liliana! I too enjoyed Arriaga tossing him around a bit. Very fatherly.
The one thing that stood out to me the most was Eiza's acting. I think she is a great actress but I felt all of her emotions this capitulo. From the hesitation, to the tears, the scenes with Guzmancito and Roy. I could really feel she was suffering emotionally even though she was choosing to do to go through it.
I was calling out right along with Guzmancito, "Escucha tu Corazon!" "Por favor!"
And let me just say Guzmancito kicking the door in was... Aggressive/sexy if I may say so. Lol Sorry I like him being extra manly
I really enjoyed the scene with Roy and Nikki in the bedroom, It was a, "tender moment" as you put it Vivi and I thought it was sweet how Roy grabbed Nikki's hand to hold just because. How crazy that they both feel the exact same way yet they continue to go through with the wedding, suffer and make the ones they are truly in love with suffer. Makes me mad just thinking about it.
Did anyone find it funny the story Arriaga told Guzmancito about another guy who was in a similar situation and begged the bride not to get married and at the end of the story Guzmancito looks hopeful until he asks who did she choose and Arriaga says the other guy. Not a very encouraging story but it got a laugh out of me through all the sadness.
I'm so glad I had a box of tissues next to me when Guzmancito asks Nikki in front of Victoria and Adrianna not to get married and pours out his heart to her. This should have done it for Nikki... it would have for me, but nope she proceeds to get married. My Guzmancito and his tears, I wish I had a tissue to hand him, Lord knows I had plenty.
I was curious is this how Mexico weddings are done with this double ceremony deal? I've never witnessed this before. Just curious!
P.s. Nikki looked stunning!

In all the tns they show us, they always make a point about whether the couple only had a civil wedding, or if they also did it in the Church. The civil wedding is what makes it legal, but they only ever take the marriage super seriously if there is also a Church ceremony. The thinking is that a civil marriage can easily be terminated, but it you have the union also blessed by the Church, it's for LIFE and beyond. That's why the Church wedding is the one that's often derailed. Otherwise an annulment will be in order, or the spouse will have to die (by tn law) in order for the main couple to have their Church wedding by the end.
As for the two separate ceremonies, I have seen it done multiple ways in tns. Either they have the civil ceremony right before or right after the Church ceremony, or they have the civil wedding days/weeks/a few months before the Church wedding. If the two ceremonies are on the same day, the bride doesn't usually change, but sometimes they do. And if you're rich like Nikki, then why not have two fabulous dresses?!
Diana - ITA about Leo being eliminated now. I feel like screaming at the writers hasn't Bea suffered enough. They need to bring her a true galan as Salsero will let her down too.
Love JA tossing Roy around. I still can't go to Roy's patio table.
Novelera in AZ
the story Arriaga told Guzmancito was the actual story of Vicky and Carlos as told to Arriaga by Vicky herself (or was it Tomasina?). So it is a true story, and much closer to them than Guzman could imagine.
That is why Vicky keeps insisting she does not want Nikki to make the same decisions she made back then... granted even Roy looks like a very young vesion of Nil-Son would have.
I was so appaled by KenDrat's attitude, basically bargin in to make sure Nikki would not back down at the last second.
And as far as latino weddings, not sure if this is a higher social levels that they have two ceremonies. But I agree that a civil ceremony is 'undoable' while a church vow, blessed by God, is considered very literally 'till death do them part'. Considering most of latin americans are catholic, or at least christian, it is a long maintained custom to consider the church marriage as 'THE NO TURNING BACK point'.
Even Roy managed to elicit a bit of sympathy from me... imagine that. However, mostly my heart went out to Liliana. She was devastated.
Now let's see if Nikki or Roy or even better... both... can gather enough courage to call this off. I'm guessing... not.
Carlos
Carlos, I guess I am sold on going to Roy's table(he managed to elicit a bit of sympathy from me as well when I saw him so desperate of being 'discovered' by Lilli and learning she was none other but Arriaga's daughter), at least for a couple margaritas and some nachos. Not a fan of lobster or champagne. I agree that Nikki was stunning in the first outfit (totally charlestone theme from head to toe). Not such a fan of the church gown or hairstyle, though.
My guess, too, is that they won't back down... but that would mean Roy would need to die before the end and we would need to find another suitable guy for Lilli, so maybe they will back down.
She looked beautiful. I personally didn't like Vicky's hair style. But it was all beautiful and there was so much to see.
I felt very sorry for Lili and loved seeing JA drag Roy around. He got as white as his Tux:).
Aribeth, your pic was hilarious!! You could tell they were all having a good time. Can't wait for your recap.
Ann-NYC
The ball is in Roy's court (how appropriate so to speak).
Roy has known all along that Nikki loves Francisco. How many times has he caught them kissing and embracing? As he doesn't love Nikki, it bothered him only in that he needed to ensure Nikki would marry him. Now that Nikki has told him she loves Frankie (and man, could she possibly have waited any longer?), what will he do?
With his entire future at stake, will he continue to go through with it or will he hold her hand and gently turn to her and release her?
I'd rather not have Roy die so Nikki can move on.
Let's reserve that for Nelson, so Vicky can start her life.
Diana
The scene with Roy & Nikki sitting in that bedroom, holding hands, their faces said it all. Great acting on both their parts.
I think I would like Roy better if he had not been such a nasty snot to Guzman all those times. As it is, he is still just an immature little boy, full of insecurities.
LOVED it when Polita snapped her fingers, a la Roy, to said Royero.
I did not care for Vikki's hairstyle either, but, oh well.
Kendra's hair & makeup looked very hard when you got up close. Perfect for the Evil Trampire, so telenovela makeup dept. knows what they're doing! (and maybe red is not her color?)The side shots of her red dress barely covering her fake boobage were . . . ewww.
Vivi- Side note, I shortened my comment as much as possible lol.
Marta- Thanks for explaining the story Arriaga told Guzmancito better. I wasn't aware it was the same story Victoria had shared. I was winging my Spanish without English Captions. I find it's better for me to work to understand what they are saying lol.
I don't want Roy to die either. I would like for Nikki to drop him like a hot tamale (had to use it again) lol. It would show maturity and her realizing on her own the mistakes she's made and learn from it. Roy dying would give her the easy way out. Just saying! Plus I do kind of like him for Liliana since I see now he does have true feelings for her.
I didn't like Victoria's hair either, looked too outdated to me. I wanted something more sexy for her if that makes sense. She is a beautiful woman and should have had a hairstyle to show more of that beauty. Just saying!
Both Nikki's wedding outfits were gorgeous to me, she pulled it off in my opinion.
Oh and Diana, you made me remember about Nikki saying, "No te amo" to Roy, I almost forgot. I wonder what he is going to say next... Anxious! Please let the wedding be called off, I can't stand to see mi Guzmancito suffer.
Team Nikki/Guzmancito
Doris- My favorite acting scene from this episode was when She yells at Guzmancito after he kicks the door in. She was confident, fierce, yet vulnerable. I felt it. I could tell Guzmancito felt he needed to make sure he was on her level because he came back just as fierce during that scene, at least that's what I like to think lol. I love how she defended Guzmancito to her mama, by throwing herself under the bus about almost having a relapse with her bulimia.
I agree about Kendra's dress eck. Red for the villain, fit her character, evil.
Team Nikki/Guzmancito
I'm hoping she can explain herself out of this jam or be believed. There was a point where she put her bag down, I hope she remembers it and can get them to believe her.
Ann-NYC
I'm thanking you in advance.
Vivi from yesterday---Good food for thought about a good woman changing a bad man. I guess you are right when you say that if there was a struggle going on between right and wrong before boy meets girl---well, then maybe. So
I'm not going to Roy's table on the patio as you sealed it for me yesterday. It takes more than a day or two for a leopard to change its spots.
People on the Patio---Anita/NM--I'm
locking in a full subscription 5/3/13 This one's a winner. Meta*Mart will double in size when production of "People on the Patio"
goes into full release and I want to be one of the first to receive what will turn out out to be a historic publication.
I couldn't believe what I was watching last night when Nikki said accepto. QUE???
Two weddings--civil and church.
Vivi, Novelera in AZ and SuperMarta
thank you for an understanding on this. So---what's next? The writers
are pushing this to the limmit, but
there is no way that I will believe
that Nikki will say accepto a second time. Put your tissues away
Victoria cause it's not gonna happen. I can't wait to see the uproar that it will cause when Nikki runs from the alter into her Guzmancito's arms. That will be a sight to behold.
Something no one has mentioned. Although Princess Nikki looked stunning in both of her wedding dresses last night---what happened
to the simply elegant wedding dress that Nikki chose in the wedding dress store? Is that dress being saved for the Nikki Guzman wedding?
KendHo was despicable quickly moving in to urge Nikki to say accepto when she was hesitant to do so.
I couldn't understand What Little Orchid told her father about Boy Roy but I was expecting Big Angel to do more than shake him---I was hoping for a black eye or at the very least, a shove in the grass/dirt enough to get his pretty white suit dirty.
I felt really bad for Bea, especially in a country where you are guilty until proven innocent. It looks very bad for her. How can she prove that she didn't steel the jewelry unless there is a store camera?
the gringo
I don't think we have to worry about Roy dying. He's not important enough for our tears (and he is not so unimportant that we could just shrug off his death -- though some might disagree.)
There were many wonderful moments last night but my favorite was when Polita watched the unmasking of Roy and reflected something like: "I guess he really is a rollero."
The way Polita goes around watching the action of this disfunctional family, I always expect her to have a box of popcorn in her hand. "At the Movies with Polita."
So have you all noticed how Kendra and Nelson are working at cross purposes?
-He is doing everything he can to tie Victoria to him.
-She is doing everything she can to separate him from Victoria.
If Kendra does explode the "MIA Bomb" at the wedding, Nelson will lose whatever leverage he has with Aníbal, I'm guessing. Nelson already seems to dislike Kendra. I'm betting he will despise her if she goes through with her stunt.
Ann, yes. Bea's tears were in fierce competition with Guillo's. Really cringeworthy.
doris and NovelaMaven, you both made me laugh with your Polita comments. I suspect she's pretty fiesty in real life as well (only a hunch).
Victoria and others who've commented on the hairstyles. I thought Vicky looked decidely unstylish while Adri and the other women looked stunning. I liked Vicky's hairdo but it looked too severe on her. The color of her dress was beautiful but missed with the style - too matronly.
Diana
especially the eyeliner made her look evil---well, I guess that was the way it was ment to be. She is, evil that is.
the gringo
I liked the Angel tossing Roy around, but he didn't do anymore damage I think to avoid the wrath of Anyballs. Otherwise I think he would have tossed him a good one, complete with black eye. I too think that Roy was being sincere with Lili, but why is Lili hating Nikki for this when it should be Roy?
I too cried when Guzmi was pleading with Nikki not to marry. It was so sad I could feel both their pain. Even though Nikki turned him down, you could tell she was also full of pain, que lastima!
I too liked Ms Vikki's hair. It was wonderfully intricate, perfect for a wedding, not for every day mind you. I loved Ms Vikki's outfit and the color was fab. Also really liked the way Adri looked too. How wonderful to see her in a bright color.
I am wondering how Betty is going to get out of this. The mall cameras will be her best hope I think, I agree with Gringo there. Too bad Santino is at the wedding. And poor Guillo my heart broke for him. I really hate that low down dirty one. I can't wait for his comeuppance.
I am irritated that those who were made aware of Roytoyboy decided to keep this a secret instead of stopping the wedding. They are only concerned about Liliana but what about Nikki. She'll be forced to marry a guy that is deceiving her all along. Beside Liliana met him when he is already engaged to be married to Nikki, so it is not her fault at all to be punished and sentenced to be married to Roytoyboy. Especially those self pity remarks and hate remarks directed to Nikki by Liliana, was very unfair to Nikki. Just saying.
As for what Lili said about hating Nikki...I didn't take it seriously. Or I took it as seriously as Nikki hating on Lili when she thought they were competing for the same man-- Guzman. Now Lili is saying she hates Nikki because BOTH men she fell for were somehow snared by Nikki. Not rational, but understandable that she would react in the heat of the moment that way. She gave Roy plenty of heat too for what he did to her, and that slap was the proof.
You are right about Lili and the heat of the moment. She is heartbroken about both men I think, but especially about Roy. It's truly sad.
I wonder if Nikki feels now that she has gone through with the civil ceremony as she is between a rock and a hard place? She really looked like she didn't want to go through with it, but feels obligated. I know she should follow her heart, but at this point I don't know what she will do. After that declaration at the altar that she doesn't love Roy, maybe she will run and never look back.
"No one to blame but Nikki if she still goes through with it."
I'm hoping for a full swoon right there at the altar.
I suspected that we'd all be split over Vikki's hair.
I only had one problem with Nikki's civil ceremony outfit... as much as I approve of headbands and although I liked the effect from a distance, I thought that up close it looked like something they picked up in a crafts store. Much better would have been that headpiece she wore to Vikki's birthday party.
Roy has not won me over yet but I'm certainly enjoying the goodies here at his table.

The recap is up.
This is how the fanbase feels about the ultimas semanas (last weeks): corona de lágrimas :)
Eiza, Sebastián, Eduardo and Marjorie are on the Mas bellos list. (And where is Erika??? Grrrr.) I'm looking forward to the photos. Here's the behind the scenes video.
I have no problem with Lucero, but she's been definitely overexposed in the last 5 years.
Team Nikki/Guzmancito Siempre
In the US we make a lot of blather about the separation of church and state, but when it comes to marriage, we don't have it. Most European countries do marriage the way we saw it last night.
Wonderful to see Nicolas, Erika Buenfil's son in the church wedding and sitting behind her.
I am waiting with bated breath for the extermination of cockroach Leo the Louse
LOL at your description of Vicky's outfit. I didn't hate the look. I thought she looked lovely, but there was something a bit matronly about it. In any case, I'm hoping for a much better look for her when Nikki has her REAL wedding to the man she loves by the end of this tn.
Thanks for the info about EB's little son. So cute that he got to be in the scene. Leticia Calderon and Daniela Castro have also had cameos for their little kids in their tns.
Victoria- I'm more upset with Ariaga not telling Vicky about her husband's pregnant mistress living in her own house, when he knows said husband has been attacking and slandering her, and trying to blackmail her into staying married to him.
But upset about him not telling Nikki, who has received 101 warnings not to marry Roy, who loves someone else, AND knows Roy doesn't love her...not so much.
I couldn't help but Lol as I read the 101 warnings because your point is proving, but I still think Arriaga should have opened his mouth. That said I completely agree with you about him not telling Victoria anything especially since he's in love with the woman. Arriaga doesn't look like such a good guy to me now that I'm taking a look at the details that I've been and were overlooking.
Oh and so you said "not so much" upset about Nikki's situation so does that mean there is still some disappointment in Arriaga for not telling Nikki?? I have to ask lol
Basically nothing important happened between Roy and Liliana. They kissed a few times, and he asked her to wait for him. It's not like he was a serial killer from whom Nikki must be protected at any cost. And Arriaga was quite busy with kicking Roy's ass and giving one shoulder to Liliana and another to Guzmán. :)
I feel like I have too much to comment and say you guys. Sorry! Things are just really getting good now.
Team Nikki/Guzmancito
And OMG, please tell me you do not get our Toddlers & Tiaras, HoneyBooBo, et al, over there in Europe. Please. Gah.
Didn't Vikki tell Guzman it was time he resigned, when she walked in on them in the bedroom? or did I misunderstand?
Neither Lili nor JA would say anything to the Balvaneras about Roy, because they are 1) employees and 2) Vikki and JA are on a professional relationship (ha!) and they agreed no more personal stuff. JA is V's bodyguard, not her confidant or BFF (at this point in history). I'm really okay with it, because of this and telenovela rules must be observed.Plus it gives the writers a few more episodes to drag things out. (unwritten telenovela rule)
Well, I'll say it: Vikki's dress made her look fat.
" …and then I put on my telenovela beanie, and take a shot of Baileys and all is well again. :)"
roflol!!!
Doris-"Didn't Vikki tell Guzman it was time he resigned, when she walked in on them in the bedroom? or did I misunderstand?"
Yes she did, but right after she said that Nikki defended Guzmancito and said he did nothing wrong other than protect her because she was going to throw up again. Victoria then hugs Nikki and thanks Guzmancito.
Also Doris- "Plus it gives the writers a few more episodes to drag things out. (unwritten telenovela rule)" Agreed
Team Nikki/Guzmancito
My heart is just so torn for Nikki and Guzmancito.
I loved your recap - devoured every word.
This was one of the saddest epis to date. “suffer silently and clench my jaws" expression covered not only Frankie's feelings but the overall tone of the sham marriage, sham stealing and broken hearts.
I smiled at your *Viewerville: well, that was… impressive* but thought your excellent recap was in keeping with the somber, sad events.
And Guillo, I just wanted to reach through the screen and comfort him.
Aribeth, thank you again for your heartfelt, beautiful summary.
