PEAM #40-5/3/13: Where the Best Laid Plans of Seduction Go Wrong!

We start this epi with Chucho and Alma playing that little phone game, Rogue comes in and it ends. Chucho goes and Alma and Rogue go to the parking garage and Rogue tells Alma about Chucho and Xochi's first night of lurrrvvvee. Alma doesn't look happy. Rogue thinks that Chucho is serious about Xochi and Alma wants to know what is with the chisme? Well, it was something Rogue heard around, you know. Alma is all bothered and no juarever this time.

At Chatitia's little abode, she and Elias are watching an old movie, when there is a knock on the door. It is Panfilo, come to pay a visit. Chatita asks Elias for some alone time with Panfilo, and Elias thinks that Panfilo is Chatita's novio and he goes over to Chucho's house.

Ricardo has brought Mari to the 'hood in his clunker of a car. He is asking her about Elias and if there is a little something going on with them. Mari kind of denies it and says well no, not yet! Ricardo is not pleased. After Mari exits the car and goes into the patio area of the building who should she run into? That's right, Elias! He informs her that Chatitia has company and how about them going to Chucho's. They go to Chucho's and have some coffee where Elias tells her that Chatita has her novio over and his name is Panfilo! Elias wants to know if she knows Panfilo. Mari's face changes a bit and she denies she knows him. What a daughter.

Valentina is talking to her Mama Vero and wants to know when Papa Elias is coming home. Vero tells her he isn't just yet. He has problems at work. Vero knows this is hard on Valentina and it's hard on Vero too. They both look sad and there is a big hug.

Chucho has arrived home and Mari is still with Elias. Chucho tells Elias he went back to Avon. Elias just can't beleive it.

Meanwhile, Chatita and Panfilo are talking at her place. He is very worried about Mari cause she hasn't contacted him. Chatita tells him not to worry. I think he got the impression that maybe Mari is liking Chucho. But Chatita tells him that Chucho is the boyfriend of one of Mari's friends.

Alma and Rogue are at his place having a little drinky pooh and she is tired and yawns. Rogue seems to be in the mood for lurrrvvee and whispers something naughty in Alma's ear that makes her laugh. Then she thinks about what Xochi and Chucho are possibly doing and her mood is wrecked. Rogue and Alma are kissing, when Sanson interrupts them and kisses Rogue all over, including the mouth. Both their cell phones ring. The call for Alma is from her Papa and he wants to know where she is. She tells him. Rogue takes his call in private away from Alma. It's Patymelt and the gist of that convo was how she hates mi amor. After they hang up the mood seems to have taken a chill, so Alma says she's gotta be getting home and when she goes, she kisses Rogue on the forehead cause she doesn't want Sanson's cooties.

Chatita comes and knocks on the door of Chucho's place, they jump in there thinking it might be the bank guy. Chucho opens the door and sees that it is Chatita and asks about her galan. She tells Chucho she doesn't have a galan and that her visitor is Panfilo, Mari's Papa. They step outside, away from Elias and Mari and Chucho thinks that Chatita is having one of her spells of not remembering people. Mari's Papa is a millionare, and Chatita tells him that Panfilo is a garbage man and how Mari tells people her Papa is a millionare to hide this fact. She wants to talk to Mari, cause she doesn't like the way Mari treats her Papa. Chucho tells Chatita he went back to Avon and Chatita tells Chucho that Panfilo needs to talk to Mari privately. Chatita tells Mari to go to her place and wait and Chatita is going to hang out with Elias and Chucho while Mari talks to Panfilo. She tells Elias and Chucho that Panfilo is off limits for a convo cause it's her private bidness. They sit down and chat and Elias says he is out of ideas for the campaign and that he was fired from the advertising agency. In other words he has artistic block, sort of like writer's block. Chucho explains to Chatita about Vero and Elias being on the outs right now. Chucho thinks they should reconcile but Elias not so much. Now Chatita would like a word with Chucho alone, if you please. Elias goes.

Jess has brought Xochi to her place, and let me tell you it looks like a Playmates room, round bed, the place looks like the inside of the Playboy mansion, one of the rooms that is. Jess has a whole closet full of boudoir wear (Thanks Blue Lass). Xochi looks uncomfortable.

Mari has gone to Chatita's place and runs into her Papa Panfilo. She doesn't want to talk to him, but he talks to her anyways. He tells her he wants her to come back home. Mari tells him she is never going back there. She has met a guy with money (Elias) and Panfilo is poor. The gist is she is sick of being poor. This hurts Panfilo immensely. He reminds Mari that her Mama did the same thing she is doing now and look what happened. He doesn't want Mari to end up like her Mama did. Mari apologizes and both of them cry. He realizes he is losing the battle with her and gives her the blessing. Both are very teary eyed, Panfilo goes and Mari sobs.

Now that Chucho and Chatita are alone they come up with a plan to reconcile Elias and Vero. Why not a nice dinner for them so they can work out their differences? Hey, that's the ticket. Chatita likes this idea.

Ferny and Discua are together at her place and he is getting frisky with her. She has something spectacular planned for him and it's a book, that's right, a fab spiritual book, it's her constant companion. He is still trying to get frisky and she starts reading to him about the light. It's all about the guiding light. Ferny isn't looking pleased.

In the 'hood we see Ricardo went and picked up all his silly friends and they are on stakeout duty and Cardenas has even joined them. Cardenas is staring at that cell phone pic he has of Jess. Cardenas admits when he saw Jess earlier he couldn't talk to her. The point of the stakeout is to see if Elias is with Mari. Ricardo is soooo jealous.

Chucho calls Vero to get on with the reconcilation plan and Valentina answers. Vero had been reading a book to Valentina just before this call, and now Valentina wants more of the story of Queen Alma and Sir Chucho. Well seems that Queen Alma is marrying King Rogue and Sir Chucho is sad but juarever he wants to talk to Vero. So Vero is kind of happy it's Chucho and takes the phone. Chucho makes it seem as if he wants to have a little dinner with Vero, but at Chatita's place. He asks her to dress nicely, she is over the moon, and he'll follow the dietary rules. She hangs up and is so ready to go. Chucho tells Chatita that dinner is on,and they go to her place.

Papa Sebastian is calling Susana when he is interrupted by Alma coming home with dinner, he has to get off the phone.

Don't you love a man in an apron? Chucho is preparing this dinner for Vero and Elias and he is going about it so well. Don't you just want to give him a big ole hug? He is cooking and stirring and well, he is one hawt lookin' chef, jus' sayin'. Chatita's task is to look for some vino for Vero and Elias to have with dinner. She finds a bottle of something she thinks will go well with dinner.

Now we are on to the transformation of Xochi, which isn't much, I can tell you. Many outfits are tried and Xochi just looks ridiculous. Red Riding Hood, I tell you Rebe looked better in PESE as Red Riding Hood, Dominatrix outfit, nurse's outfit, all of them look really bad. Jess is desperately trying to help her become an expert in seduction, well good luck with that. Jess is trying to get Xochi to be firmer with her voice, instead of all screechy, yay! Jess has the perfect idea and out comes the whip! She tries to teach Xochi how to use it, and Xochi tries but meh, she isn't good at it either. They have finally found an outfit that seems to suit Xochi, it is button down navy blue number, kind of formal. But the glasses and braid still stayed. Jess should have given her a makeover for the hair at least.

Elias and Mari found the laundry room to hang out in. They are talking and Elias seems to think that Chucho is preparing a romantic dinner for Xochi and since that is going on, why doesn't he take Mari out to dinner? Ruh Roh! Mari looks much better out of the Avon uniform. So they go in Elias' car with the Sillies following in that clunker. Seems the guys wanted to go to some show, but now they are stuck with Ricardo and his follow that car plan.

Vero is getting all dolled up for that dinner with Chucho. She is very happy and looks quite beautiful and Minerva is helping her get ready. Vero tells her she is going to dinner with Chucho and Minerva is confused. She thought that Vero was getting back together with Elias.

Ferny and Discua are talking all about the light, well Discua is and she wants him to see the light, to be enlightened. She starts to give him a shoulder massage. She winks at him and then suggests he go to her bedroom so she can really give him a message. Ferny is all down with that.

Alma and her Papa have finished their dinner and her Papa is looking at a picture of Alma and Little Sebas Jr. They are both very sad and Alma cries thinking about her brother. Papa tells her not to cry, but she is blaming herself for what happened to him and that he died. Here is where we end this epi.

Avances:

Xochi has a fire extinguisher and shows up at Chucho's.

Discua and Ferny and the Japanese massage. It's a speciality, Wink!

Sebastian and Alma.

Good Morning Y'all:

The recap is up, please enjoy : )

Madelaine, you are so right about Rebe in PESE being a much superior Little Red. As a matter of fact my lasting image from this episode is Xochi in her disheveled red hood with one eye covered and one eye out. Way too funny to be forgotten!

Jarifa

Nov 6th. 6:30-8:30pm (episode sponsored by UNEFON)

Things I learned tonight:

Jessiquita is fan of Celia Cruz
Jessiquita has two costumes of each style (and in two different sizes, one size too small for her and one size fits all for guests)
Today we are lucky to hear Xóchitl's musical theme (I wonder how many tracks includes the OST)
Chatita calls Xóchitl ''la tecolota'' maybe because of her huge glasses.
After speaking of futbol and her Chivas, Chatita includes ''Tomasito Herrera'' in the TN. I wonder if she is also co-directing?
Chatita's wine is older than Matusalén and have the webcobs to prove it.
Marisela's mom is not dead, she just ran away with a rich man!
In case Valentina's character was not in the original story, Juan Osorio would have invented her, to advertise everything Payaso! Now the t-shirt!
Elías took Marisela out, and he doesn't have any money! Or does he? I am scared, Marisela is expensive!! Just look at her yellow Minnie Mouse shoes!!
Alma can cry without shedding any tears!

Trivia: Now that they have new contract to advertise cell phones, all of them have the same new ring tone. Could that be the OPCIM (only phone company in Monterrey?) I mean, Elias does not work at AVON and now has the same ringtone.
In the stockroom, there's a few boxes and the rest is a wall painted with squares that resembles boxes.
Michel Jáuregui is Simón, for all the fans out here...
Alma's awkward as a teenager and the last surprise she got from daddy happened when her brother died.
Avon, Paleta Payaso, Sabritas y Unefón. Any more advertisers want to chip in?

Caption Crazies:
Pavo real is not REAL TURKEY, is peacock
Could we use ''genius'' for mood, humor?

Vocabulario:
Pájaros en el alambre (birds on the wire)- we're not alone, careful
Ahuecar el ala- Asking to go somewhere else, leave alone
Movida- Something we wanna do with no witnesses (can also be used to name a person, if we have something secretive going on)
Vieja Inés- From a children's game (toc, toc, quién es? La viaje Inés, que quiere? Un listón, de qué color? Rojo! Everybody run)
Qué genio! Pídele un deseo- Being in a bad mood.

Tks Mads
Talk about approaching a makeover all wrong. They need to start with glamor shots. We know Xochi can be a knockout.
Going to be a funny noche.

Thanks Mdelaine. Your observations are spot on. The dress up at Jessica's was a hoot. Loved the way they showed Jess in each outfit and then the same thing on Xochi -- but each outfit was too large for Xochi in all the right --or wrong -- places. She just looked so silly. You are right Jarifa that the most lasting image is Xochi in that red hood that slipped down over her eye.

Didn't we all just know that the reconciliation dinner that Chucho & Catita planned would go wrong? And just how is Elias taking Mari out to dinner? His credit card is maxed or revoked by his ex-employer. And what is Xochi going to find when she shows up with her fire extinguisher? Will she jump to the same wrong conclusion that Vero has?

Good old Samson saved Alma one more time. She was funny when she kissed Rogue good-by on the forehead to avoid the Samson cooties.

Güera

Pablo
OPCIM, in this case it's true. Owned by Carlos Slim, richest man in the world.

Fun recap, Mads!

Favorite lines:

- The gist of that convo was how she hates mi amor
_ She has something spectacular planned for him and it's a BOOK
- The transformation of Xochi, which isn't much, I can tell you
_ Stuck with Ricardo and his follow that car plan
- It's a speciality, Wink!

Pablo, in FAMILIA everyone had the same ring tone, too -- I think it's some kind of running joke.

I liked the yellow Minnie-Mouse shoes!

Speaking of, is it true that SIMON was also in UFCS? I mean, with both TN taking place in a real business like AVON, did he had the same character/name?

Funny stuff Mads. And yes, FC seems to know his way around a kitchen. He can whip me up something anytime.

You know, Elias said, hey let's grab a bite, but he didn't say where. I would LOVE to see him take Mari to a burger joint or something simple and have her get a clue that he's broke. That whole scenario of those two drives me batty.

And yeah, what makeover? Those costumes were downright scary ( and does Jess own any regular duds?) but it seems you start with hair and makeup first. But it served as a comedic break in the action I suppose. Wonder if the transformation is not quite finished? Otherwise, kind of a bust.

So Sebastian tells Alma not to cry--this from the man who seems to hold her responsible and has probably made it crystal clear in behavior if not words. Dysfunctional much?

As for the queen of dysfunctional...oi. I can see Vero showing up for the dinner and then Xochi walks in. Duck and cover everyone!

You know, ROg can't be all bad. His dog loves him.

Daisy

Thanks for another fun recap Mads. Love the title because it's so on point. No one's seduction plans are working out. Jesus's evening is about to get REALLY interesting when both Xochi and Vero show up with love on their minds.

Jessica is a terrible teacher. A teacher should know the starting point of her student and work with them from there. Xochi needs some basic social skills help. LOL about the two sizes for each outfit Pablo. And yet we still didn't get to see Jess in any street clothes...or maybe she only dresses in those costumes when she's out of uniform. I also noticed all her Celia Cruz pics. She has good taste in choice of idols.

Now we've seen Jess's place. Mari is still at the bottom of the totem pole when it comes to Avon employee homes. What is she doing with her money if others can afford to live in much better homes/apartments, whether they live alone or not?

Probably Marisela spends all her money on trying to dress rich. Lucky for her they wear uniforms at Avon.

Pobre Chucho, if he can't be with Alma, he'd probably rather spend the evening with Chatita, not Xochi o Veronica & certainly not both. This is going to be interesting, hopefully funny.

The TN seems to be growing on everyone, it is me, I'm really enjoying it. Great contrast to Cielos. Of course it doesn't hurt that my telenovio FC is in it & Jorge Aravena. I think they could have done better than Blanca Soto though. Beautiful but blah.
QBA, AV y Lagrimas are basura IMHO. Can't wait for the Lagrimas y AV replacements.

I see that Lágrimas is in its última semana -- I might watch the gran final next week just to see that creepy little Jimmy Cagney character get his. I only catch 5 or 10 minutes at night, but boy does he get on my nerves.

Not sure who that is, I catch a little before Manda. Victoria Ruffo is ALWAYS crying, but Mane de la Parra is sure cute.

That Romolo guy, with the whiny voice.Bleah.

When I saw Celia Cruz I was waiting for someone anyone to yell out "¡Azúcar!"!
At least Jessica has some good taste in music.

Jarifa

I love Jessica, whacky but some hot babe, very interesting character.

Loved the look Rogelio gave as she walked out the door with her skirt up to there. Wish I knew how these chicks sit or juarever in those short skirts. Hopefully not like Britany Spears sin ropa interior.

@Blue Lass--
Are you talking about Ernesto Laguardia? He, our one and only dearly beloved Cristobal de la Garza from Alborada, BFF of Luis Manrique y Arellano? This is a brand new side of him and I would have dearly loved to have watched him. I just couldn't stomach all the tears and wringing of hands, and close up of tears and wringing of hands.

Good re-cap Madelaine...

The best segment was Jessy's wardrobe of naughty fashionwear.

It was funny that she had two of everything, or maybe Xochi was trying on the outfits after Jessy, that would explain the tight fit on Jessy, and loose fit on Xochi.

Xochi's tranformation was bust, she needs a lot more help than what Jessy can provide.

Finally seeing Jessy in something other than the uniform, she leap frogs over Discua, the Incan Goddess, and maybe knock Sexy Pati out of the top position as "Sexiest" PEAM female.(Don't forget the Avon receptionist.)

P.S. A couple of Jessy shots had her in "white face" again. And Oh yeah, I saw some shots of Chucho where he is an orangeman...(Gueru, I know you like that, lol.) Maybe I need to adjust my HD TV?

Anon#1

I still think Xochi will be transformed, before this TN is over

Ernesto Laguardia, yes. He does slimy mafioso very effectively.

I just hate to see good actors like Eduardo Laguardia end up in mierda like Lagrimas. Not happy with Jorge Salinas in QBA, or an up and comer like Wm Levy in Tempestad. Wish I knew what control the actors have over their choices or if it's just a paycheck.

Ok, now back to the recap--Mads, you are hereby dubbed SuperMami de Dos en Una Noche. Congrats for sure. This was definitely up to your best of the best standards (along side AV).

In Vero's conversation with Vale about Papa Elias not coming home, she at least had the courage and decency to say that they had another fight over the phone.

Loved....drinky pooh...and both phones ringing, the dog and the bit about the cooties. Priceless.

Can't wait for the *new* Xochi to appear at the door. I wonder if Chatita will even recognize her!

Pablo, you certainly enrich our viewing pleasure. After seeing your lists, I try to go back and re-watch the episode, because I seem to skip over some of these dichos. I heard Chat say the word *movido* but had no idea the precise meaning. Gentleman friend was the closest I could get in context with the rest of the convo.

You are a treasure.

Good Evening Y'all and thanks for all the great comments.

Pablo:

Thanks as always for the dichos. They so greatly help me, always : )

Poor Xochi, I thought we would see the butterfly or the swan but meh not so much. Poor little thing. I think the outfit that she has on is supposed to be for firefighters. We'll have to see.

I can't wait to see this dinner disaster that Chucho and Chatita have set up for Elias and Vero. It should be a hoot and a half.

Patymelt always picks the wrong time to call, lol. And the hateful rant of mi amor, que que what? Too funny.

I laughed myself silly when I saw the avances of Discua walking all over Ferny's back, Japanese style. I hear it's one great massage. I can't wait to see it.

Thanks Pablo for the info on Celia Cruz. I thought it was her in those pics at Jess' but wasn't sure. I love her music. I too was astounded by all those outfits Jess has, but the question is, maybe Jess needs a makeover for clothes Hmmmmm

Ricardo and those Sillies too funny. Poor Cardenas was so stuck with them. I can't wait to see what happens when they catch up to Elias and Mari.

Variopinta:

I recap for AV and I love it. It is a very different type of TN. It has some comedy and lots of drama. It really is quite good, it has a little of everything. La Tempestad is replacing AV once it is done with it's run. It's the first time there will be a back to back Meija production. QBA is worth seeing because of the music. Besides the always charismatic Jorge Salinas, who couldn't watch Pablo Montero rotating those hips, Hmmmm......

I watched AV until about 2 wks ago & gave up on it. I didn't even give QBA a try even though I like everyone in it & the music, but Mejia turns me off & Cielo seemed a good alternative.
I will try Tempestad because of Wm Levy, but doubt I'll be able to stick with it, another Mejia & most certainly will be basura.
Can't wait for a Carla Estrada production or Carlos Moreno.

Maybe on Monday, we can find out what this tragic story is of Sebastian Jr. dying and why Alma feels so responsible.

I'd also like to know what the backstory was with Mari's Mama and who this rich guy is she ran off with. Maybe Mari's Mama will show up later.

Maybe Mari's mama ran off with Alma's dad! That would be fun!

Yes! And to honor TN traditions, Jesús mom, who was left for dead, was later rescued and is still alive, lives in Canada and one day will recover her memory and just by following his scent she will go to Monterrey to find her son. Sebastian Jr. (who liked scientology and whose tethan soul was neither male nor female), reincarnated and is now Discua (I had previously said that). Alma has another half brother, product of Sebastian Sr and Susana, who is now Cárdenas. Susana was tricked into believing her son was dead but was later adopted. Marisela's mom was dumped by the rich guy and after working in a sweatshop sewing dresses for Barbie dolls, almost lost her sight but found out her father was the owner of the company, he sent her to school and she now designs the fragances and owns everything Avon, books, buses (even the river in Scotland), and now lives in another planet custom built just for her. Of course Marisela (a chip off the old block) will inherit one day the whole enchilada! Or should I say Caviar taco?

Ay, Pablo, restrain yourself...or better yet, offer yourself as a brand-new innovator writer-creator to Televisa (it would certainly be better for us).

Pablo...perfectly plausible.

And I totally agree with Mad that Chucho in that perfect apron does such a fine job of dicing those organic vegetables. I too want to give him a hug. Gertie

Make my taco beluga, with truffles.

(even the river in Scotland) too funny

I'm betting that Alma's little bro isn't really dead, either. Maybe he got carried away by the tide and his body never washed up and he suffered amnesia and...well, you know the drill. He'll turn up just in time to be someone's love interest.

Ah Mads, only you have the energy and inspiration to knock out two recaps on a Friday night. Kudos to you lovely lady.

Haven't heard the word "cooties" since the 50's!--thanks for making me feel young and juicy again, amiga.

Favorite scene: Fernando getting all hot and bothered over the promise of new sex toys (his thoughts) and Discua's rapturous reading of New Age theology (her idea of a spectacular good time)...and now a massage with his clothes off--can't wait. Maybe dealing with disappointment will propel him into some kind of maturity (I can dream can't I?)

Pablo, thanks as always for the vocab and cultural info. I blush to admit I didn't realize "movida" referred to ANYTHING secretive, I thought it was just Mexican slang for "getting busy". My bad.

Alma's eyelashes seemed extra-heavy and dark in her weepy dinner scene with Dad. Heavy-handed makeup artist?

Glad you all think the actress playing Xochi has glamorous potential. I have only seen her in roles where she looks half-starved and with a childlike, vulnerable beauty...but bordering on anorexic. If she's capable of looking sexy, it's news to me. But I'll wait and see.

Judy B
you might change your mind after watching this

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0gPrjNRU-Ls

Yikes! I stand corrected, Variopinta. Our little waif from Amor Real is all grown up.

WOW....that was Xochi????

She still ranks below PEAM's top sexy Divas, but she could be in the top 5...

I want her make-up artist. No, wait: I NEED her make-up artist.

Blue Lass... The right; make-up, hair or weave, tight jeans, tank or tube top, and six inch heels will transform anyone into a sexy Diva.

I prefer Kika Edgar with a little less make up, with her own style. Like in this interview:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uqApw3A4hkY

That video gives a nice contrast. More like the Kika I saw in Amor Real, but more mature and healthier looking. As for the previous video, eye makeup appears to be more dramatic for Hispanic actresses and newscasters than what we are used to here in the US.

Judy B., when I first saw Xochi, I could see they made her up to be a "plain Jane". Looking through that I saw someone who favored Danica Patrick, the US racecar driver.

http://www.danicaracing.com/#6

There ya' go...Eye Candy for the racetrack. Not to downgrade her driving skills, of course, but you're right, she's also quite lovely.

Madelaine, Thanks a million for such a zippy, thorough and enjoyable recap. This episode sounds like a great set-up for lots of fun and misunderstandings.

Gotta say I'm really liking the Discua/Fer relationship (such as it is) so far. I really think Fer is going to transform his bad self, but I'm still not sure if Discua is on the level. Not that it matters; I could enjoy the outcome either way. It would be VERY funny if Discua ends up being Alma's long lost brother. Whole lotta funny (and completely predictable) possibilities there.

And Pablo, thanks again for your translations and input. They always add so much to the discussion and our understanding of what's going on. I love hearing about the captioning goof-ups.

Good Morning Y'all and thank you so much for all the comments.

Jarifa:

That scene of Xochi as Red Riding Hood was a hoot. That wig was looking like Pipi Longstocking, lol.

Pablo:

Had to laugh at Chatita's wine is older than Methuselah it did have tons of cobwebs on it.

Variopinta:

So agree about the glamour shots. I wish Jess had started with hair and makeup first.

Guera:

I too wondered how Elias was going to pay for dinner. Maybe Mari will pay, lol.

Blue:

I too liked Mari's Minnie Mouse Shoes, and that orange top she had on, too funny.

Daisy:

I lol'd about the burger joint comment or taco stand too. Maybe he'll get Mari to pay, lol. It should be funny if Vero and Xochi show up at the same time and Xochi has that fire extinguisher, lol.

Vivi:

I have been thinking too, about what Mari does with all her money. She must make good money. If Jess can afford a place, Mari should be able to too. I never understood why Mari and her Papa never pooled their resources and got a better place. I think Mari is very selfish. She could have bettered her circumstances but just kept that money to blow on inconsequential stuff.

Variopinta:

Agree with what you said about Mari. And this TN is getting funnier. I enjoy the physical comedy here.

Jarifa and Vivi:

I agree with you both about Celia Cruz. I love her music : )

Lee:

I too think that Xochi will be transformed before this TN is over, from an ugly duckling to a swan : )

Anita:

I lol'd at your comment if Chatita will recognize Xochi, lol. Chucho will be floored. I can't wait for that.

Blue:

That would be a hoot about Alma's Papa and Mari's Mama. And your tacos sound yummy : ) Liked your theory about Alma's little bro.

Pablo:

I'm with Gertie, perfectly plausible.

Judy B:

I liked your whole comment. That was funny about Fern and Discua. They are such polar opposites. Can't wait for their massage session. The cooties I just had to throw in, lol. Kudos to Kika Edgar for her portrayal of Xochi. This is the worst I've ever seen her look.

Variopinta and Anon 7:53:

Thanks for the videos of Kika. It is a big contrast.

Cap'n Sylvia:

I too am liking Ferny and Discua. I too am wondering about Discua, but so far she hasn't asked him to turn over all his monies to her. I am looking forward to see what happens with these two. So many possibilities for fun : )

I've fallen behind on comments... again... just wanted to thank Madelaine for the recap. I did watch this Friday night, but it went in one eyeball and out the other, except for the scene at Jess's place, it was like the temporary Halloween shop at the mall.

Argh, how did Chucho and Chatita neglect to invite Elias to his own surprise dinner? Oh right - that's one of the pitfalls of planning a surprise party...

Julie:

You are spot on about Elias and being invited to his own surprise dinner party. I think Chucho assumed he'd still be at his place. I don't think he counted on Mari and Elias flying the coop. I think Chucho's plan must have been to tell Elias that Chatita had cooked up something yummy to get him to stop by and Chucho would have thought of something with Mari.

For only having this epi go in one eyeball you didn't miss much : )

Hey Y'all thank you so much for all the great comments for this epi : )
